Abstract (sommario):
It this article the author discussed how buildings influence environment. The main sustainable buildings information sources' review was made briefly. There are guides, handbooks, guidelines, databases, software and web-based tools. This information is needed to facilitate decision-making during the completion of a building's design, its construction and at the operational stages. Also, retrieval of the existing building rating systems was performed. Obstacles were clarified for the usage of the rating systems. The MCDM-23 (multi-criteria decision-making method) as a building's rating system was chosen, copied from Internet an installed into a personal computer. This program automates a multi-criteria evaluation. This paper/research performed an evaluation and comparison of two single-family house projects “Kedras” and “Vasaris”. It is found that the project “Kedras” is better than “Vasaris”.

Abstract (sommario):
Antidepressant use during pregnancy is a widely debated and controversial topic among researchers and clinicians. Despite a wealth of studies examining the adverse outcomes and relative safety of these prescription medications, inconsistencies in study design and methodology make it challenging to draw conclusions and translate findings into clinical practice. Consequently, healthcare professionals are often uncertain about how to counsel pregnant women regarding antidepressant use, leading patients to feel unsupported and conflicted about where to receive information and how to make an informed decision. To remedy this clinical issue, many knowledge translation initiatives exist in Canada, including the Motherisk program, patient decision aids, professional handbooks, and critically appraised summaries of evidence published in scholarly journals. These endeavours represent important progress in knowledge dissemination and uptake among patients and healthcare professionals. However, further implementation and evaluation of targeted knowledge translation strategies are warranted to improve the knowledge and support necessary in making decisions regarding antidepressant use during pregnancy.

Abstract (sommario):
Prime coat has a purpose in the pavement construction process, yet many times prime is misused or eliminated during the project. Although most of the time no harm appears to occur to the roadway, and thus this practice may be viewed as acceptable, technical guidance is warranted to ensure appropriate usage. The objective of this study was to produce a prime coat guide for Central Federal Lands Highway Division project development and field personnel to provide decision-making guidance. The study consisted of a literature search, which focused on handbooks and technical reports, and a review of agency construction specifications. A phone survey of state departments of transportation in the region was undertaken to provide information on current practice. Finally, a review of both the potential harmful and the positive environmental effects of the prime coat process, including the various bituminous products used, was undertaken. On the basis of the information collected, a guideline for project development and field personnel was developed. The guideline provides guidance on how to use, when to keep, and when to eliminate prime coats.

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract In comparison with other types of construction, the development of rock engineering design codes has been slow. Codes must, however, be developed with relevant discipline-specific characteristics in mind. This paper, therefore, presents a generic design framework for rock engineering. The framework is based on the presumption that rock engineering design must be viewed as decision-making under uncertainty, which makes the design process subject to general risk management principles, as risk is defined as “effect of uncertainties on objectives” (ISO 31000). Thus, rock engineering design codes ultimately need to facilitate design processes that target the risk, to enable design of structures that not only are sufficiently safe and durable and cost-effectively constructed, but also imply safe and healthy work conditions during construction and an acceptably low environmental impact. The presented framework satisfies this fundamental requirement and the authors find codification of its principles to be rather straightforward, as long as the level of detail in the code is governed by a strict application of ISO’s general risk management principles. Further details on methods and practical recommendations can instead be supplemented in separate handbooks and application guidelines.

Abstract (sommario):
The consensus nowadays is that there is a need to adapt to increasingly occurring climate impacts by means of adaptation plans. However, only a minority of European cities has an approved climate adaptation plan by now. To support stakeholder dialogue and decision-making processes in climate adaptation planning, a detailed spatial information and evidence base in terms of a climate impact assessment is needed. This article aims to compare the climate impact assessment done in the context of two regional climate change adaptation planning processes in a Dutch and a German region. To do so, a comparison of guidelines and handbooks, methodological approaches, available data, and resulting maps and products is conducted. Similarities and differences between the two approaches with a particular focus on the input and output of such analysis are identified and both processes are assessed using a set of previously defined quality criteria. Both studies apply a similar conceptualisation of climate impacts and focus strongly on issues concerning their visualisation and communication. At the same time, the methods of how climate impacts are calculated and mapped are quite different. The discussion and conclusion section highlights the need to systematically consider climatic and socio-economic changes when carrying out a climate impact assessment, to focus on a strong visualisation of results for different stakeholder groups, and to link the results to planning processes and especially funding opportunities.

Abstract (sommario):
ObjectiveThis study aims to explore barriers to controlling gestational weight gain in pregnant Chinese women.DesignData were collected through semistructured interviews with pregnant women experiencing excessive gestational weight gain who struggled with weight management, and the data were examined using an interpretive content analysis.Settings and participantsFifty participants (≥18 years, with excessive gestational weight gain) were recruited when they visited the hospital for antenatal health checkups in Wuhan city (n=36) and Jinan city (n=14) between September and October 2018.ResultsInterpretive content analysis identified 75 barriers after examining diet, physical activity levels and general issues stemming from knowledge and beliefs, and physical, social, logistical, emotional and structural characteristics. Compared with reported deductive codes, this study inductively extracted 15 new codes. The most frequent codes showed that expectant grandparents greatly influenced pregnant women’s lifestyles, through overprotection, traditional and conservative ideas and practices, and a lack of reliable knowledge or acceptable guidance on gestational weight control.ConclusionsThis study provides a better understanding of the most important obstacles faced during decision making about gestational weight control in Chinese settings, especially the influence of traditional ideas/practices and expectant grandparents. Identifying the specific barriers to weight control should facilitate potential tailored supportive interventions. More efforts on health education for the whole family and a better use of maternal handbooks would be particularly beneficial.

Abstract (sommario):
The ability to apply prior knowledge to new challenges is a skill that is highly valued by employers, but the confidence to achieve this does not come naturally to all students. An essential step to becoming an independent researcher requires a transition between simply following a fail-safe set of instructions to being able to adapt a known approach to solve a new problem. Practical laboratory classes provide an ideal environment for active learning, as the primary learning objective of these teaching sessions is to gain skills. However, laboratory handbooks can be presented as a series of fail-safe recipes. This aids the smooth running of practical classes but misses the opportunity to promote engagement with the underlying theory and so develop confidence in recalling approaches and adapting them to a new problem. To aid the development of employability skills, a practical laboratory series was developed for Bioscience teaching that requires on-the-spot decision-making, the recall of skills and their adaptation to new challenges. After using this approach, the proportion of student’s expressing a high level of confidence with each of eight key employability skills rose by between 9 and 35% following the practical sessions, showing that the approach of recalling, adapting then applying prior knowledge and skills can increase the confidence that students have in their employability related skills. The approach was developed for use within biological sciences practical laboratories but the principles can be adapted to any discipline involving project work.

Abstract (sommario):
Purpose: This study sought to determine how market factors influence investment decisions in Nairobi Securities Exchange-Kenya. The study would offer valuable contributions from both a theoretical and practical standpoint where it contributes to the general understanding of the drivers of investment in the Nairobi Securities Exchange in Kenya. Methodology: The study adopted positivism philosophy because the study variables were based on facts derived from the empirical literature review and the theoretical premises discussed in chapter two. Its results are quantitative and explain the relationship between the variables quantitatively. This research used a descriptive research design that allows a researcher to get adequate data from a small population cost-effectively and easily by use of a questionnaire as the research instrument. It is the structure, or the blueprint of research that directs the process of research from the formulation of the research questions and hypotheses to reporting on the research findings Krishnan, (2015). Primary data was collected using standard questionnaires with both closed and open-ended questions. Cronbach’s Alpha Test was used to test the internal consistency reliability of measurements. Data was obtained from the unit trusts and pension funds in Nairobi County. The study was conducted during the 2010- 2019 period. This study adopted a census of all fund managers the Nairobi Securities Exchange that have been actively trading for the period starting 2010-2019. The target population for this study was 129 fund managers hence a census of all equity fund managers at the NSE. Quantitative data was coded to facilitate analysis using Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS 23). The study performed tests on statistical assumptions such as test of regression assumptions and statistics used. This included tests of reliability, normality, autocorrelation, panel root test, cointegration, linearity, independence, heteroscedasticity, and multicollinearity. Data was extracted from the financial statements and NSE handbooks, Excel program was used to calculate ratios relevant to the study variables. Descriptive statistics were used to summarize the study variables; group behavior, accounting information, firm characteristics, and market factors of fund managers at NSE. Findings: The study concluded that more attention should be focused on firm characteristics to achieve the best investment choices. Unique Contribution to Theory, Practice and Policy: The study was guided by finance theories that acted as its base that supported the empirical literature review which included Resource Based Theory (RBT), agency theory, herding theory and prospect theory. More attention should be paid to the predictors in the order of the magnitude of their effect on investment decision-making.

Abstract (sommario):
BackgroundThe Literature is no report support material on Shared Decision-making applied to breast cancer screening that is intended for Spanish health professionals. The researcher created both a handbook and a guide for this topic using an adaption of the Three-talk model.ObjectiveA Delphi method will be used to reach an agreement among experts on the contents and design of a manual and guide, designed by the research team, and to be used by health professionals in the application of SDM in breast cancer screening.DesignA qualitative study. The content and design of the handbook and the guide was discussed by 20 experts. The Delphi techniques was in an online mode between July and October 2020 and researchers used Google forms in three rounds with open and closed questions. The criterion established for consensus was a coefficient of concordance (Cc) above 75, for questions using a Likert scale of 1–6—in which 1 meant ‘completely disagree’ and 6 ‘completely agree’—with a cut-off point equal to or higher than 4.ResultsParticipants considered the Three-talk model suitable for the screening context. The handbook sections and level of detail were considered satisfactory (Cc=90). The summary provided by the clinical practice guide was considered necessary (Cc=75), as it was the self-assessment tool for professionals (Cc=85). Content was added: addressing the limitations of the SDM model; extending the number of sample dialogues for health professionals; providing supplementary resources on using Patient Decisions aids and adding references on communication skills. Conclusions and applicationsThe first handbook and clinical practice guide providing unique SDM support material for health professionals have been developed. The handbook and guide are useful and innovative as supporting material for health professionals, but training strategies for SDM and a piloting plan for the use of materials are requested, in order to facilitate its implementation.

Abstract (sommario):
Purpose Each decision-making involves risk; therefore, risk is a strategic element in management and organization. In terms of risk management, the transformation process in organizations should be aimed at optimizing and improving the most important performance criteria such as cost, quality, flexibility and speed, rather than just as required by legislation. Transformation process has sustainability risks for organizations. ATO transformation process should be well designed. Process also should include clear steps to implement them. Sound and well-designed process will be useful for organizational performance and quality management. The management of the risks of conversion processes is vital for the continuation of operations without interruption. In aviation universities’ approved training organizations (ATOs), each system must be handled and processed separately. Transformation plans should be prepared considering the risks of each system. The purpose of this study is to develop process flowcharts of all systems in sustainable ATO transformation process from risk management perspective. Design/methodology/approach Flowchart method is useful to identify process risks in organizational system transformation. Flowcharts simplify communication and provide effective analysis of the process. Flowchart enables designing plan which is suitable for aimed results. Flowcharts method provides efficient coding and system analysis and program development phase also serves as a guide while debugging errors. In this study, flowcharts including all stages have been developed for transition to an ATO authorization. With these flowcharts, all elements of the process and the risks, threats and opportunities that may be faced can be proactively identified together. Thus, improvements will be possible to achieve the corporate objectives of the transformation and reorganization process and increase the corporate performance with optimum resource usage. Findings Flowcharts may contribute to the reorganization and transformation of processes in all aviation academies. In this sense, it provides infrastructure for future studies. New studies can be carried out for the reorganization of all departments in aviation. It is believed that this research will contribute to the aviation management literature. Flowchart is also called as process flowchart or process flow diagram. Flowchart is effective methodology to manage transformation process risk. Owing to clarify each step in transformation process, risks may be managed with timely decision-making by managers. In this research, five fundamental flowcharts have been developed in ATO system. These include all processes in transformation as preparation of manuals, new authority application, competent authority inspections, corrective and preventive actions, revalidation and fees in transformation process and its parts. Presented flowcharts may be useful to identify and manage process risk in initial phase as consent with proactive management style. Research limitations/implications This research presents designed flowcharts for ATO transformation risk management process. This research may extend at other departments in aviation universities such as air traffic control, maintenance and management. Practical implications As a methodology, flowcharts can be considered as schematic algorithms. The flowchart is a detailed representation of the process to carry out a specific task. In this research, flowcharts have been developed for transformation process stages at ATO authorization. These flowcharts are useful for proactive identification of process elements and their risks – threats and opportunities. Thus, improvements will be possible to achieve the corporate objectives of the transformation and reorganization process and increase the corporate performance with optimum resource usage. Flowcharts may contribute to the reorganization and transformation of processes in all aviation academies. In this sense, it provides infrastructure for future studies. New studies can be carried out for the reorganization of all departments in aviation. It is believed that this research will contribute to the management and strategy literature with engineering. Originality/value ATO transformation process risk management has not been studied much in literature. The operational manuals of ATO's management and strategy planning prepare according to both legal regulations and handbooks of aviation authorities which obliged for ATO. It is anticipated that this original study may be useful for determining the risks of transformation processes of flight training departments of civil aviation universities and for good process design. Flowcharts may contribute to the reorganization and transformation of processes in all aviation academies. In this sense, this study provides infrastructure for future studies. The aviation universities operate with authorization. This research may contribute to their process management and strategy to complete their transformation and transition via risk management. Developed flowcharts present all necessary steps to become authorized as an ATO. This research may serve as a kind of framework guide for other aviation organizations to be used in their transformation/transition process.

Abstract (sommario):
IntroductionDecision coaching is a non-directive approach to support patients to prepare for making health decisions. It is used to facilitate patients’ involvement in informed values-based decision-making and use of evidence-based health information. A recent systematic review revealed low certainty evidence for its effectiveness with and without evidence-based information. However, there may be opportunities to improve the study and use of decision coaching in clinical practice by systematically investigating its determinants of practice. We aim to conduct a systematic review to identify and synthesise the determinants of practice for providing decision coaching to facilitate patient involvement in decision-making from multiple perspectives that influence its use. Methods and analysisWe will conduct a mixed-methods systematic review guided by the Cochrane’ Handbook of Systematic Reviews. We will include studies reporting determinants of practice influencing decision coaching with or without evidence-based patient information with adults making a health decision for themselves or a family member. Systematic literature searches will be conducted in Medline, EMBASE, Cochrane CENTRAL and PsycINFO via Ovid and CINAHL via EBSCO including quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods study designs. Additionally, experts in the field will be contacted. Two reviewers will independently screen and extract data. We will synthesise determinants using deductive and inductive qualitative content analysis and a coding frame developed specifically for this review based on a taxonomy of barriers and enablers of shared decision-making mapped onto the major domains of the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research. We will assess the quality of included studies using the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool.Ethics and disseminationEthical approval is not required as this systematic review involves only previously published literature. The results will be published in a peer-reviewed journal, presented at scientific conferences and disseminated to relevant consumer groups.PROSPERO registration numberCRD42022338299.

Abstract (sommario):
Academia can be a challenging place to work and academics who have a disability, neurodiversity or chronic illness are further disadvantaged, as non-stereotypical ways of working are not necessarily supported or catered for. The remit of this paper is to provide practical ideas and recommendations to address accessibility issues in events and conferences as a first step to improving existing working conditions. We start with providing a brief overview of and background to the issues of ableism, disabilities, chronic illnesses and neurodiversities in academia. We then offer a detailed description of the organisational and developmental strategies relating to the Ableism in Academia conference to practically demonstrate how accessibility can be achieved. Despite vast literature available on theorisations of reasonable adjustments and some individual handbooks on conference accessibility, noted the absence of a systematic write-up of a case study that would demonstrate the thought processes required for the organisation of a fully accessible and inclusive event. This paper provides almost a step-by-step rationale and rundown of the decisions that had to be taken in order to facilitate an accessible event. After a brief consideration of challenges we encountered along the way, we share personal reflections regarding the event and future developments.

Abstract (sommario):
AbstractThe aim of this article is to evaluate the contribution of process tracing data to the development and testing of models of judgment and decision making (JDM). We draw on our experience of editing the “Handbook of process tracing methods for decision research” recently published in the SJDM series. After a brief introduction we first describe classic process tracing methods (thinking aloud, Mouselab, eye-tracking). Then we present a series of examples of how each of these techniques has made important contributions to the development and testing of process models of JDM. We discuss the issue of large data volumes resulting from process tracing and remedies for handling those. Finally, we argue for the importance of formulating process hypotheses and opt for a multi-method approach that focuses on the cross-validation of findings.

Abstract (sommario):
IntroductionShared decision making (SDM) has been advocated as a key component of person-centred care and recovery from mental illness. Although the principles of SDM have been well documented, there is a lack of guidance about how to accomplish SDM in mental healthcare. The objective of the present protocol is to describe the methods for an umbrella review to determine the effectiveness elements of SDM interventions for persons diagnosed with a mental illness. An umbrella review’s key characteristic is that it only considers for inclusion the highest level of evidence, namely other systematic reviews and meta-analyses.Methods and AnalysisElectronic searches will be performed in CINAHL, PubMed, Scopus, Ovid MEDLINE, Ovid EMBASE, Ovid Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Scopus and Ovid PsycINFO. Based on Joanna Briggs Institute recommended guidelines, review articles will be included if they were published between 2010 and 2021. This approach will help identify current and emerging evidence-based treatment options in mental illness. Included articles will be assessed for quality using Assessment of Multiple Systematic Reviews 2 tool and ratings of the quality of evidence in each review. Presentation of results will align with guidelines in the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses 2020 statement. Findings will be stratified by mode of intervention and implementation characteristics and will inform development of SDM taxonomy in mental healthcare.Ethics and disseminationThis umbrella review will focus on the analysis of secondary data and does not require ethics approval. Findings will be disseminated widely to clinicians, researchers and services users via journal publication, conference presentations and social media. The results will contribute to the conceptualisation and understanding of effective SDM interventions in mental healthcare and to improving the quality of SDM for individuals with a mental illness.PROSPERO registration numberCRD42020190700.

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract Medieval and early modern records show certain practices were common in traditional European aquaculture. These, combined with advice in coeval treatises on agricultural management, demonstrate how European agroecosystems linked terrestrial and aquatic operations to pursue a net energy gain in their outputs. Critical reading of three distinct bodies of sources: early modern European agricultural manuals, literature on fish culture compiled in western Latin Christendom, and managerial records of fourteenth-through seventeenth-century fish culture enterprises establishes two new understandings. First, land manages took self-conscious measures to integrate their arable and pond cultures with the aim of conserving and recycling essential nutrients. Second, agricultural handbooks from this period both reflected traditional practices of illiterate peasant farmers (and hence their "traditional ecological knowledge") and informed certain managerial decisions.

Abstract (sommario):
This article describes the evaluation of an innovative empowerment project aimed at improving nurse-family communication in a pediatric transplantation setting. Empowerment and family-centered care models were employed to reduce barriers to communication and build partnerships. The goals of the project were to facilitate empowerment, power-sharing, and joint decision-making among nurses and families. Families gained insight into biomedical culture, culminating in the creation of a handbook for navigating biomedical culture, which they site as empowering. However, major barriers exist to achieving the remaining goals. Although nurses involved with the project value the principles of joint decision-making and power-sharing abstractly, they are reluctant to incorporate them into their practice. They describe them as at odds with tasks and roles they must accomplish. Foucault’s insights on clinical power assist in understanding why this project was successful in creating partnerships in some areas, but not accomplishing power-sharing at a structural and practical level.

Abstract (sommario):
ABSTRACT An integrated Environmental Recovery Plan has been developed to assist in decision making during the response to sensitive resources impacted by a marine oil spill. The Plan is contained in a field handbook with six clearly defined stages. Implementation of the Plan commences with a definition of the impacted area, supported by use of oil spill models. The overall priority of the region, followed by the priority of individual resources is then assessed with supporting data provided by a detailed GIS. This permits individual resources to be assessed through sensitivity summaries, key consideration summaries, priority decision trees, response guidelines, and finally, guidelines for monitoring and assessment. The Plan has been specifically designed to provide rapid advice to response teams during emergency incidents ensuring that sensitive resources receive the optimum response to minimise damage and enhance recovery.

Abstract (sommario):
Introduction: The integration of clinical inspection and diagnostic imaging forms the basis for endodontic diagnosis, decision making, treatment planning, and outcome assessments. In recent years, CBCT imaging has become a common diagnostic tool in endodontics. CBCT should only be used to ensure that the benefits to the patient exceed the risks. As such, our aim in this study was to evaluate the high level diagnostic efficacy studies and their risk of bias. Methods: A systematic search of the literature was conducted to identify studies evaluating the use of CBCT imaging in endodontics. The following databases were searched: Medline (PubMed), Scopus, and Cochrane Central. The identified studies were subjected to rigorous inclusion criteria. Studies considered as having a high efficacy level were then subjected to a risk of bias assessment using the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Diagnostic Test Accuracy. Results: Initially, 1568 articles were identified for possible inclusion in the review. Following title and abstract assessment, duplicate removal, and a full-text evaluation, 22 studies were included. Of those studies, 2 had a low risk of bias and 20 had a high risk of bias. Six studies investigated non-surgical treatment, eight investigated surgical treatment, two investigated both non-surgical and surgical treatment, and six studies investigated diagnostic thinking or decision making. Conclusion: The evidence for the influence of CBCT on decision making and treatment outcomes in endodontics is predominantly based on studies with a high risk of bias.

Abstract (sommario):
Petroleum industry stakeholders rely on estimates of petroleum reserves and resources as a cornerstone for making informed strategic investment decisions. Whether assessing a property or corporate target in a mergers and acquisitions process, seeking or providing equity or debt financing, developing upstream or downstream projects, engaging in sales contract negotiations or satisfying regulatory disclosure requirements, a clear understanding of the basis of these estimates is critical. Worldwide, several standards of resource estimation are widely accepted (Society of Petroleum Engineers Petroleum Resources Management System (SPE-PRMS), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) guidelines and Canadian Oil and Gas Evaluation Handbook (COGEH)) and disclosure requirements depend on the regulatory jurisdiction (i.e. Australia, Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) Listing Rules Chapter 5; USA, SEC Regulation S-K; Canada, NI 51-101). Understanding the differences in these standards is imperative for correctly assessing value, development potential and project risks. Focusing on Australia, the United States of America and Canada, this presentation identifies key differences in these standards, and the potential implications affecting your strategic investment decisions.

Abstract (sommario):
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the popularity of formulary systems in all Hong Kong hospitals and to compare these with the newly introduced formulary system in a major government hospital, the Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH), as the baseline. DESIGN: Questionnaire and selected interviews by pharmacy students. SETTING: All hospital pharmacies in Hong Kong. PARTICIPANTS: Department managers (directors of pharmacy services) of hospital pharmacies. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURE: The popularity of the hospitals' formulary systems and their formulary decision-making strategies. Calculations of cost savings of the new formulary system in PMH and a comparison of the PMH system with the US standards were also made. RESULTS: Among 38 responding hospitals, 35 (92%) had a formulary handbook and 21 (55.3%) claimed to have a formulary system. The evaluation processes and formulary decision-making procedures were found to be inadequate because basic components in drug evaluation (e.g., standardized criteria for drug evaluation) were not used regularly. However, the formulary system in PMH was found to be comparable with the US standards. Substantial cost savings were made through rejection of less cost-effective drugs by the Formulary Subcommittee in PMH. CONCLUSIONS: In general, comprehensive formulary systems are still not popular in Hong Kong. This may be due to insufficient staffing and lack of administrative and physicians' support. The new formulary system in PMH can be used as a model to develop a successful formulary system in which hospital pharmacists can prove their expertise for the benefit of both hospitals and patients in Hong Kong.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the Russian theologian Musa Bigiev’s views on accepting modern theological and legal conclusions in Islam, i. e. on the fatwa issuing. After comparing his various works, a conclusion is made about his adherence to absolute ij tihad, not limited to the framework of one madhhab. At the same time, Bigiev gives the main role in this process to the methodology of Islamic law, which, in his opinion, should also be modernized in accordance with the goals of the Shariʻah. This doctrine was fi rst developed in the history of Muslim thought by the medieval faqih Abu Ishaq al-Shatibi, whose work Al-Muwafaqat Bigiev recommends to introduce as a handbook in Islamic educational institutions. According Bigiev’s views, it is necessary to train mujtahids capable of making decisions based on sacred primary sources, system of goals of the Shariʻah and objective conditions of life.

Abstract As a means of enhancing experiential educational opportunities for adult-gerontology nurse practitioner students who are prepared to manage the complex care of older adults, interactive simulation videos were developed using the eLearning authoring tool H5P to create learning experiences for students that can be used either in face to face classroom experiences or embedded in learning management systems. H5P is a web-based authoring tool that helps faculty build interactive course content. H5P activities provide instant feedback to students, allowing them to self-assess their understanding of the dynamic video simulation case. With funding through the Health Resources and Service Administration Advanced Nursing Education Workforce grant, four video simulation cases were developed that address emerging chronic care conditions in an older women who aged 15 years presenting initially with signs of hypothyroidism, progressed to early frailty, through moderate dementia and eventually along with her daughter face end of life health care issues. Partnering with the university instructional design experts, nurse practitioner faculty created questions that were inserted throughout the video as a means of keeping students engaged in problem-solving and decision making. A faculty handbook that described the case scenario with the interactive questions with suggested discussion questions was developed for each video simulation. The adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner competencies addressed in each case are identified in the handbook. Recommendations for the interactive question format will be presented and QR codes with access to direct viewing of the videos will be presented on the poster.

Abstract (sommario):
Background: Knowledge of current and ongoing studies is critical for identifying research gaps and enabling evidence-based decisions for individualized treatment. However, the increasing number of scientific publications poses challenges for healthcare providers and patients in all medical fields to stay updated with the latest evidence. To overcome these barriers, we aim to develop a living systematic review and open-access online evidence map of surgical therapy for bladder cancer (BC), including meta-analyses. Methods: Following the guidelines provided in the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Statement, a systematic literature search on uro-oncological therapy in BC will be performed across various literature databases. Within the scope of a meta-analysis and living systematic review, relevant randomized controlled trials will be identified. Data extraction and quantitative analysis will be conducted, along with a critical appraisal of the quality and risk of bias of each study. The available research evidence will be entered into an open-access framework (www.evidencemap.surgery) and will also be accessible via the EVIglance app. Regular semi-automatic updates will enable the implementation of a real-living review concept and facilitate resource-efficient screening. Discussion: A regularly updated evidence map provides professionals and patients with an open-access knowledge base on the current state of research, allowing for decision-making based on recent evidence. It will help identify an oversupply of evidence, thus avoiding redundant work. Furthermore, by identifying research gaps, new hypotheses can be formulated more precisely, enabling planning, determination of sample size, and definition of endpoints for future trials.

Abstract (sommario):
In today's world, data and statistical information permeate our lives, making it imperative that we educate students to be statistically literate. Statistical literacy is the ability to read and interpret statistical information to make informed decisions about events under conditions of uncertainty. Recently, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) published a document, Catalyzing Change in High School Mathematics: Initiating Critical Conversations (2018), in which it proposed statistics as one of four essential content domains in secondary school mathematics and acknowledged quantitative literacy—the ability to reason both statistically and numerically—as a crucial life skill for all students. For a number of years, statistics has been an important content strand across grade levels in the school mathematics curricula of many countries. Thus, it is understandable that students and even teachers might perceive statistics simply as another topic in mathematics.

Abstract (sommario):
The military aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine has resulted in a significant number of damaged and destroyed buildings and structures. The challenge of determining the extent of material losses and damage, within tight timelines and under the conditions of active combat in the country, becomes more pressing than ever. To restore normal life in areas that were under occupation or in conflict zones, a series of tasks must be undertaken, including the initial assessment of the extent of destruction, conducting surveys of damaged buildings, and subsequently determining the corresponding requirements for the restoration of real estate. The purpose of the work. To demonstrate the feasibility and appropriateness of applying the Handbook System of cost indicators for analogous objects to determine the reproduction cost (replacement) of objects, with the aim of assessing damages and determining the needs for the restoration of real estate. The Handbook System of cost indicators is developed based on actual cost indicators of analogous objects and consolidated cost estimates or consolidated indicators of construction costs (types of work, structural elements, etc.), adjusted to current price levels. This involves analyzing all possible sources containing accumulated cost information from project and estimate documentation, determining necessary corrective coefficients, and developing models to ascertain the cost of all types of real estate, including specialized properties. Methodology. The statistical analysis methodology was employed, specifically using the method of grouping and consolidating indicators to assess the costs of restoring residential real estate in one of the districts of Dnipro city. This involves the application of the developed Handbook System of cost indicators for analogous objects, determining the structure of the real estate object as a construction object in a two-dimensional system of physical/cost indicators. Scientific novelty. A model for determining restoration costs using the Handbook System of cost indicators for analogous objects has been developed and implemented in the Sobornyi district of Dnipro city. Practical significance. The determination of the structure of any real estate object in the system of physical/cost indicators, based on the results of using the Handbook System of cost indicators for analogous objects, addresses a range of crucial economic, managerial, and legal issues. Specifically, it opens the way for the application of rapid screening of investment projects, assessment of actual damages, standardized and analytical damage assessments. This contributes to making effective managerial decisions in the country's recovery process, ensuring the efficient use of resources in society, and can be applied for other purposes in case of open access to this information, following the experience of leading countries worldwide. Results. A Handbook System of cost indicators for analogous objects has been developed and tested to determine the reproduction cost (replacement) of objects, aiming to assess damages and needs for the restoration of real estate. The results obtained from testing the Handbook System provide grounds for practical application, enabling the acquisition of logically comprehensible outcomes. It can be implemented not only for determining the needs for the restoration of real estate and assessing damages but also for various other purposes.

Abstract (sommario):
Hospital-based health technology assessment (HB-HTA) is one of the components of public management and support hospital managers to science-based decision-making regarding the implementation of new and innovative health technologies (HT). HB-HTA includes the processes and methods used to make HTA reports in and for hospitals. Ukraine has already started implementing hospital-based HTA, but a number of steps are still needed to fully implement HTA at the hospitals. One of them is the choice of HB-HTA report form, which will be appropriate to use in the practical activities of hospitals in Ukraine. The purpose of the study is to analyse the international experience of using different HB-HTA report form with the aim of selecting the optimal HB-HTA report form for hospitals in Ukraine. There were analysed different forms of HTA reports in Ukraine regulatory framework, international scientific literature, the AdHopHTA handbook, which included the following countries: Norway, Finland, Turkey, Spain, Austria, Italy, Estonia, Denmark, Switzerland, in international HTA database INAHTA, Canadian and Kazakhstan report databases. The methods of content analysis, systematization and generalization were used. Making managerial decisions about investment or disinvestment in health technology requires information that meets the hospital stakeholders needs. Such scientifically based information is provided by HB-HTA report form. There are a wide range of HB-HTA reports forms in terms of content, subject matter, structure and resources (time and staff). Each is based on the EUnetHTA HTA core model. For introducing a hospital-based HTA, the countries of the world most often choose the mini-HTA form. Mini-HTA supports hospital managers to make science-based strategic decisions of the introduction of new treatment methods, new indications for the use of existing technology, medical equipment, medical devices, or stopping the usage of health technology. The choice between performing a mini-HTA or a more comprehensive hospital-based HTA often requires a balance between the quality and thoroughness and the necessary speed of assessment in a specific situation. From the authors' point of view, the most applicable to Ukrainian context is the mini-HTA form. Adapting mini-HTA and approving it as a recommended report form at the state level will provide an opportunity to more widely HTA usage by hospitals in Ukraine.

Abstract (sommario):
This article examines the recognition of refugee status determination, which was conducted by UNHCR, by states with a particular focus on the legal basis of UNHCR's supervisory role. Although the practices differ from state to state, most contain elements of “soft enforcement” where the issue of recognising refugee status conducted by UNHCR is discussed and is given weight. Refugee status determination is considered as the supervisory task of UNHCR. Consequently, Article 35 of the 1951 Convention is interpreted by the author, as it is the legal basis of UNHCR's supervisory responsibility and binds Contracting States to co-operate with UNHCR in particular to facilitate UNHCR's duties. Even though this is a binding obligation, the instruments, namely the UNHCR Statute and the UNHCR Handbook, for determining refugee status conducted by UNHCR merely have authoritative character. Therefore, the author evolves on the approach of a “soft enforcement” of these instruments and introduces a guidance tool, elaborated by UNHCR itself, in order to influence the decision-making process of Contracting States. Particularly those states are concerned, which are confronted with the issue of recognition of refugee status conducted by UNHCR.

Abstract (sommario):
Selecting a first-line (1L) maintenance option for ovarian cancer is challenging given the variety of therapies, differing trials, and the lack of head-to-head data for angiogenesis and poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitors. Thus, indirect treatment comparisons (ITCs) can aid treatment decision making. This study assessed the feasibility of two ITCs, a network meta-analysis (NMA) and a population-adjusted ITC (PAIC), comparing the efficacy of the PARP inhibitor niraparib in the PRIMA trial (NCT02655016) with other 1L maintenance treatments. A systematic literature review was conducted to identify trials using the Cochrane Handbook for Systematic Reviews of Interventions to assess differences in trial design, population characteristics, treatment arms, and outcome measures. All 12 trials identified were excluded from the NMA due to the absence of a common comparator and differences in survival measures and/or inclusion criteria. The PAIC comparing PRIMA and PAOLA-1 trials was also not feasible due to differences in inclusion criteria, survival measures, and the previous receipt of chemotherapy/bevacizumab. Neither ITC met recommended guidelines for analysis; the results of such comparisons would not be considered appropriate evidence when selecting 1L maintenance options in ovarian cancer. ITCs in this setting should be performed cautiously, as many factors can preclude objective trial comparisons.
