Abstract (sommario):

In recent years, eco-driving has proven to be an effective tool for reducing fuel consumption and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Until now, most research carried out has focused on ordinary drivers applying eco-driving techniques on their usual routes. However, there is little research on professional driver couriers. This research is aimed at analyzing the effects that eco-driving has on fuel consumption and GHG emissions on courier deliveries in small cities such as Caceres (Spain). For this purpose, a real-life experiment was performed with professional drivers with Spanish post vans from the public sector company Correos. In the first period, driving was under normal conditions (non-eco), and after a theoretical training eco-driving course, there was a second driving period (eco). Driving parameters (speeds, accelerations, rpm, and consumptions) were recorded on all trips to analyze how effective the eco-driving was. The research concluded that eco-driving training does not correlate with more sustainable driving for professional drivers under pressure with the need to deliver packages on time. However, there is a trend in fuel savings when using higher capacity routes.

Organizational resources that have an important role in achieving its goals is human resources. Because of the importance of the role of humans in both short and long term competition on the business agenda, a company must have more value compared to other companies. PT. Mediatama Sejahtera is a company engaged in comprehensive services consisting of printing services (transactional printing service), electronic report making services (E-statement service), printing services (publishing printing service), document scanning services (document imaging service/scanner), Courier service, as well as customized business process management services, business process management services. This study aims to determine the effect of discipline and training on employee performance at PT. Mediatama Sejahtera in Jakarta. The method used was explanatory research with a sample of 86 respondents. The analysis technique uses statistical analysis with regression testing, correlation, determination, and hypothesis testing. The results of this study have a significant effect on discipline employee performance by 46.3%, the hypothesis test obtained significance 0,000 <0.05. The training had a significant effect on employee performance by 35.9%, the hypothesis test obtained a significance of 0,000 <0.05. Discipline and training simultaneously have a significant effect on employee performance. hypothesis-testing obtained significance of 0,000 <0.05

The author reveals the commercial aspects of activity of the I. Ladyzhnikov publishing company in Berlin in the first decades of the twentieth century. This paper clarifies the company’s concept and fills in a number of gaps in the study of Russian-language foreign book publishing in the first decades of the twentieth century, due to the small number of comprehensive studies in this area. Getting acquainted with Russian-language emigrant book publishing is of great interest, since it reflects the large-scale processes of the post-revolutionary breakdown of the cultural life of Russia. The source base of the research is the documents of a number of Russian archives, as well as the archive of the I. Ladyzhnikov publishing company, discovered by the author at the International Institute of Social History (IISH) in Amsterdam (Netherlands). The author introduces into scientific circulation a number of new, previously unpublished data about the I. Ladyzhnikov publishing company. The article reveals the circle of people who stood at its origins: on the one hand, these are the leaders of early Bolshevism (V.I. Lenin, L.B. Krasin, V.D. Bonch-Bruevich), on the other — the central figures of the writing group “Znanye” [Knowledge] (M. Gorky, К.P. Pyatnitsky). The author presents all the names under which the publishing company operated in different years, accurately dates the stages of its existence from the moment of its origin (5th August, 1905) to the beginning of the 1930s and proposes periodization. The archive of the publishing company preserved 40 contracts with the authors; therefore it was possible to determine the circle of writers and playwrights who collaborated with it: M. Gorky, S.S. Yushkevich, S.G. Petrov (Skitalets), A.N. Kuropatkin, S.N. Rabinovich (Sholom Aleichem), Sh. Ash and other writers. The author notes that among other tasks, the publishing house defended the copyright of Russian writers abroad. The article analyses the total annual circulation of publications, the number of authors, as well as the total annual turnover of the company. For the first time, the author considers the role and place of the “Novaya Russkaya Kniga” [New Russian Book] magazine in the activities of the I. Ladyzhnikov publishing company. The author established that the 1920s were the most successful in terms of commercial activity for the publishing company. Thus, from February to March 1924, the company “absorbed” three of the major competitors: “Helikon” publishing company, “Russian Universal Publishing Company” and “Epoch” publisher. The article presents the exact dates of the contracts for the purchase of publishers, the data on the sales value and the features of the agreements concluded. In particular, I. Ladyzhnikov company bought the publishers with the preservation of their trademarks, purchased their warehouses with commodity stocks, contracts concluded with authors, as well as debt obligations to banks. The author concludes that for almost the entire first third of the twentieth century, the I. Ladyzhnikov publishing company was the most powerful commercial enterprise among all the publishing companies of “Russian Berlin”.

Good corporate governance is linked to the corporate performance of corporations. This study seeks to determine if corporate governance characteristics implemented improved company performance and to determine if a positive or negative relationship exists. Multiple Regression Analysis was applied to determine whether certain corporate governance characteristics relate to company performance in Malaysia. Company performance is measured using Return on Assets (ROA) and Total Shareholder Return (TSR). Data was collected from Bursa Malaysia from 2012 to 2015. In conclusion, there is no evidence of any significant relationship between corporate governance characteristics and company performance measures. Abstract (sommario):

The aim of this paper is to design a methodological procedure for determining the costs of companies in the process of travelling the last mile in the context of changing the business model. At present, traditional services such as delivery by post or by courier to a particular consumer’s place of residence are still used to deliver consignments to consumers. In recent years, however, new delivery methods have begun to be used, such as ParcelShops, lockers located at specific locations, or dispensing points where the consumer comes to pick up the shipment. In order for each of these methods of delivering goods to consumers to work as efficiently as possible, it is necessary to incur certain costs. The results of this paper contain a mathematical relationship for calculating the total costs that a postal company has to incur in order to deliver goods to consumers within the last mile using the available delivery options.

In 1996, the Institute for the Science of Thought decided to cease publication of its journal Shisō no kagaku (Science of thought). Launched in May 1946, the journal had not only survived the turbulent immediate postwar era, but also oversight by five different publishing companies within the space of less than twenty years. In 1962 the Institute broke away from commercial publishers, and established a new company especially to publish the journal. Self-publishing was prompted by the decision by the journal’s current publisher to cancel a forthcoming special issue on the ‘emperor system’. This was a pivotal moment in the history of Shisō no kagaku. In this essay, I outline the chronology of the “Shisō no kagaku Incident,” examine aspects of the contemporary ideological context such as the emergence of the so-called “chrysanthemum taboo,” and explore its legacy for the new publisher’s treatment of topics to do with the emperor.

Along with the Industrial Revolution, and now even entering the 5.0 Industrial Revolution, of course high creativity and innovation are required from each business entity. Organizations can no longer run a business as usual, every time and every time they are required to make various kinds of breakthroughs, so that they can remain relevant / survive the changes that occur. Likewise with what happened in the field of courier services, the industry in which PT. Pos Indonesia, whose conditions are currently getting tighter and fiercer. For this reason, a manager who has high work experience is needed in order to help the company win the existing competition. One way to get managers who have high work experience is to attract individuals who have good managerial talent to join the company. Managers who have good managerial skills tend to have high work experience, because these employees will always be prioritized when there is an empty position, or when there is a promotion in a department. This study aims to analyze the direct effect of managerial talented on work experience. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method by providing a list of questions to the respondent. The procedure used in testing, data processing and model development is structural equation modeling. Data were analyzed using AMOS statistical software tools. This method is used to facilitate the discovery of the effect (causal) of exogenous variables on endogenous variables. This research was conducted without any treatment from the researcher. The population in this study were all post office managers at PT. Pos Indonesia -Regional IV Jakarta, totaling 160 people. The results of this study prove that there is a positive direct effect of managerial talented on work experience.Keywords: Managerial Talented, Work Experience, Post Office.

The news media in Oceania are small but remarkably diverse and vigorous. Ownership ranges from large transnational corporations and robust local media companies, as in Fiji and Papua New Guinea, to local entrepreneurial and Government media interests, such as in Tonga and smaller South Pacific nations. News Corporation, through its South Pacific subsidaries, owns the two largest English-language dailies, The Fiji Times and the PNG Post-Courier, while the Malaysian timber company Rimbunan Hijau is a major media investor in Papua New Guinea (The National) as well as having interests in New Zealand and South-East Asia. Australia's Channel nine owns PNG's national TV broadcaster, EMTV, and New Zealand has played an important role in the development of Fiji Television. All three countries have had constitutional freedom of expression guarantees under assault in recent years and the role of the media in good governance has been an emerging theme. Three authors, prominent journalists (and, in the case of two, now also media edcators), analyse the trends in their countries.

Pos Indonesia (Persero), one of the state-owned enterprises engaged in courier services, must also face disruption. It not only makes its market share decline but also threatens its existence so far—one serious thing which PT must address. Pos Indonesia is a matter of improving the quality of human resources owned. As we know, the back and forth of an organization is primarily determined by the existence of human resources. The existing human resources are the biggest challenges that PT must overcome. Indonesian post. This instability can be seen from the composition of existing employees regarding age and their qualifications/competencies. For that, we need a strategic step to improve the quality of human resources owned by PT. Pos Indonesia to compete with other organizations in an era filled with this uncertainty. And several ways that can be taken by the company, among others, by conducting human resource-based assessments and measuring all human resources owned by PT. Pos Indonesia.

A review of the literature on corporate universities finds that the peak for research and publishing on the topic occurred between 1998 and 2002 and fell away considerably after 2005. Given the apparent lack of research during the past decade, the purpose of this paper is to present an insight into what has been happening to corporate universities, what changes have occurred and what the emerging trends are in corporate university development. The paper includes two short cases, one from the UK and one from Australia, reflecting developments and trends in corporate universities in the banking industry. The authors examine the move away from corporate universities as highly resourced, geographically based training centres to virtual entities facilitated by the development of digital technologies. At the same time, there appears to be greater emphasis on the alignment of corporate training and people development with the strategic objectives of the organization, so that employees at all levels can provide leadership to the people and functional areas for which they are responsible. The authors conclude by arguing that in an increasingly global and unpredictable digital disruptive age the corporate university must evolve from being a primarily social and knowledge transfer mechanism to facilitating company renewal and transformation; in effect, becoming the organization's learning laboratory.

Artykuł jest próbą omówienia konspiracyjnych i powstańczych losów kpr. Zbigniewa Kruszewskiego „Jowisza” po wojnie profesora Uniwersytetu Teksańskiego w El Paso. W czasie swojego dzieciństwa w Warszawie doświadczył kataklizmu wojny i tragedii okupacji niemieckiej. Jako kilkunastolatek włączył się w prace polskiej konspiracji w szeregach „Zawiszaków” harcerskiego pionu zrzeszającego najmłodszych działaczy Szarych Szeregów (konspiracyjne harcerstwo męskie). W czasie powstania warszawskiego służył w III Zgrupowaniu „Konrad”, a następnie w Poczcie Polowej. Wziął udział w niebezpiecznej misji kurierskiej poza Warszawę, w której cudem uniknął śmierci. W końcowym etapie powstania był żołnierzem kompanii „Bradla” w Batalionie „Miłosz”. Po upadku powstania, razem z wojskiem trafił do niewoli niemieckiej. Ważnym elementem tekstu, oprócz przedstawienia losów powstańca jest również próba refleksji nad powojennymi dylematami uczestników walk o Warszawę, związanymi z pozostaniem na emigracji. Na podstawie ponad 20 relacji uczestników powstania, zarysowano problem pytań i rozterek wojennych rozbitków kwestii ułożenia sobie życia poza granicami Ojczyzny po zakończeniu wojny w 1945 r. This paper was an attempt to describe the service of cpl. Zbigniew Kruszewski „Jowisz” („Jupiter”) during conspiracy and Warsaw Uprising. When he was a child, he expereienced a cataclysm of war and tragedy of german occupation. As a few years old child he got involved in polish conspiracy and became a member of Szare Szeregi and got assigned to „Zawiszacy” – the group of the youngest boy scouts. During the first phase of Warasaw Uprising he served in Group „Konrad” and later in Field Postal Servce. He also took part in high risking mission, during which he was a courier delivering information outside Warsaw and miracously escped death. In the last days of Warsaw Uprising he served in „Bradl” Company of „Miłosz” Battalion. After the fall of Warsaw Uprising, he was taken into captivity. Apart from describing the life of Zbigniew Kruszewski, another important part of this article is consideration about post-war dilemmas which were faced by former Uprisers. Basing on over 20 relations, in this article were outlined perpelities concerning on living outside Homeland after the end of war in 1945 which were faced by post-war casaways.

Abstract (sommario):

Introduction. The relevance of the stated topic is due to the significance of the problem of the formation of entrepreneurship as an important social component of industrial and post-industrial society. Many modern contradictory processes of post-industrial globalized society have analogs in the modernization of the second half of the XIX – early XX century. Materials and Methods. The modernization paradigm was chosen as the main strategy of the study, and this choice contributed to the identification of socio-political, socio-economic and socio-cultural influences on the formation of entrepreneurship in Russia. The history of the formation of the Schwabe company – from a small shop selling imported optics to a large enterprise – was considered in the context of the processes of industrialization in the optical industry as a whole. The technique of combining macro and micro-historical research was used. Results. The history of the formation of the company F. Schwabe reflected the peculiarities of the development of industrial society in Russia: the uneven course of the industrial revolution, dependence on imports, and technological backwardness were combined with high rates of development, the use of various mechanisms for expanding influence in the industry: publishing catalogs, opening new stores and branches throughout the Russian Empire, attracting capital from shareholders and investments from foreign banks, cooperation with educational institutions, the Boundary Office as consumers of optical devices, free packaging and delivery of goods to consumers, participation in Russian and international industrial exhibitions. Discussion and Conclusions. The Russian bourgeoisie has become an important socio-organizing factor in the development of the optical industry. Its vital activity played a significant role in the formation of industrial society. It is safe to say that the firm F. Schwabe was at the forefront of Russia’s modernization at the turn of the century. Working in a new promising sector of the economy – the production and sale of optical devices – the owners of the company actively conquered the market. The history of the Schwabe company is presented in the study not only as the evolution of production capacities and technologies, but also as the history of entrepreneurial experience, socio-cultural activities of the bourgeoisie, the continuity of entrepreneurial traditions and bourgeois values.

Therefore, based on case studies, this paper aims to discuss the effects of COVID-19 on the accounting profession. The selection of the case studies is based on the company awarded as Best Employer and Most Attractive Graduate Employers to Work in Malaysia in recent years. By focusing on the importance of digital and critical thinking, a framework is developed to show the transformation of the accounting profession over the last 50 years and future insights for the accounting talent in the current context. The findings show that the Accountant's traditional role of preparing a complete set of accounts is still vital and relevant. However, accountants need to equip themselves with digital and critical thinking skills to become future-fit accountants in the near future, especially in the post-COVID 19 era. As a media company, Metro TV implemented Cyber Public Relations activities in order to build engagement with the public. The engagement value between Metro TV and its followers on the three social media accounts are able to reach high number. This study aims to see the implementation of cyber public relations by Metro TV as a media company in building public engagement on social media. This study uses the concept of Public Relations management initiated by Cutlip which is then linked to the concept of Cyber PR and engagement. The research method used is case study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with Metro TV's Head of Public Relations as key informants, Metro TV social media specialists and Metro TV social media followers as supporting informants. The data and information obtained from the interviews will be analyzed using the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicated that the implementation of Metro TV cyber public relations focuses on 4 main activities, there are: forming engagement and interaction spaces, creating digital campaigns and education, publishing internal company activities, and crisis mitigation. In addition, the implementation of cyber public relations of Metro TV in creating public engagement on social media includes engaging key opinion leaders from internal companies, mirroring content on various platforms, monitoring engagement level and insights on social media, as well as producing relevant and the human side contained content. And finally, the management of social media as a form of implementation of Metro TV cyber public relations is carried out in 3 stages, including: pre-production, production and post-production.

Ian Butterworth was a major force in European particle physics from the start of the subject in the late fifties until leaving his post as the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) research director in 1986 to become principal of Queen Mary College. Following his PhD at Manchester, he moved to Imperial College, where later he was head of both the high energy group and the physics department. His early research was dominated by bubble chamber analyses searching for resonant hadronic states, crucial for the establishment of the quark model. Investigating these resonances, using mass spectra and partial wave analyses, was his speciality. He had vision. He was one of the first to recognize the value of IT advances, the importance of networking and the vast potential of the Web. In 1990, at the age of 60, he had a stroke but less than a year later he was again active. His main interests became the effective use of the Web for electronic publishing and the advancement of a coherent European network strategy for education and research. Much of this was under the auspices of the Academia Europaea, of which he was vice president from 1997 to 2003. In his later years he retained a deep interest in European culture and gastronomy and continued to enjoy travelling around Europe. Ian was a special person, warm-hearted, lively and excellent company.

Service companies, especially in the logistics sector during the pandemic, are currently very much needed by many people. The increasing demand for package and mail delivery services is increasing day by day, must be balanced with service and timely delivery to the recipient. PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Kantor Pos Pemeriksaan (KPRK) Mojokerto 61300 is a company engaged in courier and logistics services which has a target to be able to provide better services for customers. However, the Mojokerto Inspection Post Office (KPRK) still has several problems, including the problem of delivery failure parcels and letters to recipients or what is commonly called the failure of the Standard Delivery Time. The purpose of this research is to minimize the occurrence of delivery failures parcels and letters and to increase Standard Delivery Time. Data obtained from observations, interviews and direct documentation in the field. The method used in this problem is to use the DMAIC method (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). The results of the analysis and discussion through several calculations on the check sheet and Pareto diagram, it is known that delivery failed packages and letters for three months amounted to 3,406 items with the highest problem factors being incomplete addresses and moving recipients. To minimize these problems, human resources must be improved and improved.Perusahaan jasa khususnya bidang logistik pada masa pandemi saat ini sangat dibutuhkan oleh banyak masyarakat. Mewabahnya permintaan jasa pengiriman paket dan surat semakin hari semakin meningkat harus diimbangi dengan pelayanan dan pengiriman tepat waktu kepada penerima. PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Kantor Pos Pemeriksaan (KPRK) Mojokerto 61300 merupakan perusahaan bergerak dibidang jasa kurir dan logistik yang memiliki target untuk dapat memberikan pelayanan jasa yang lebih baik bagi pelanggan. Namun Kantor Pos Pemeriksaan (KPRK) Mojokerto masih memiliki beberapa permasalahan diantaranya permasalahan gagal antar kiriman paket dan surat kepada penerima atau biasa disebut ketidakberhasilan Standar Waktu Penyerahan (SWP). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meminimalisir terjadinya gagal antar kiriman paket dan surat serta meningkatkan Standar Waktu Penyerahan. Data diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi langsung di lapangan. Metode yang digunakan dalam permasalahan ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). Hasil dari analisis dan pembahasan melalui beberapa perhitungan pada check sheet dan diagram pareto maka diketahui gagal antar kiriman paket dan surat selama tiga bulan berjumlah 3.406 item dengan faktor permasalahan tertinggi alamat yang tidak lengkap dan penerima pindah. Untuk meminimalisirkan permasalhan tersebut maka SDM harus dilatih dan ditingkatkan.

Case overview Mr Srinivas Kesineni has been chairman of Kesineni Tours and Travels for the last 19 years. Kesineni Tours and Travels is one of the fastest growing bus travel and transport organisations. The case describes the journey of Kesineni Tours and Travels since its inception. It also outlines different strategies adopted by the Chairman to reach newer heights, to survive and to grow in the turbulent times of changing technology and rising competition from different means of transportation. This unique organisation is run by family, friends and well-wishers of the owners, yet it is professional in its approach in operations. The board of directors of Kesineni Tours and Travels has approved the financial results of 2010, which shows 55 percent growth and Rs 86.71 crores turnover. This is a remarkable achievement and recognition for a company that has been in the business since 1992. In early 1992, entrepreneur Mr Srinivas Kesineni thought of a bus transportation business when he started with just two buses, and today when the organization is the largest tour and travel company in the region serving approximately 15 lack customers in a year covering 75 destinations with around 425 daily schedules. He and his team have been working tirelessly and the company has a remarkable presence in the tour and travel business in India with occasional innovative moves from optimising bus routing, initiating sleeper coaches, introducing Volvo buses to the fleet, entering the cargo transportation business and more. This business has grown at CAGR of 24.07 percent since 2000-2001. Students reading this case may come to the class with preconceived views that the journey of the organisation since its beginning is an ordinary story, but this case creates an opportunity for students to come to their own conclusion how different strategies and the synthesis is important for achieving desired outcomes form time to time. The discourse on indigenizing of social sciences has been popular among Indonesian scholars since 1970s. However, it has not shown any significant development, in spite of many writings of Nusantara scholars that can be bases of references to develop sociological theories of Nusantara, such as the manuscripts of Kawruh Jiwo Ki Ageng Suryomentaram and Amanat Galunggung. Making an effort to indigenize social sciences of Nusantara, the present study investigates both manuscripts. The results of the study argue that there are basic theories of sociology discussed in those two manuscripts. For example, the concepts of social integration (kabuyutan), division of labor, and historical consciousness, which are discussed in the manuscript of Amanat Galunggung. The sociological perspective of Amanat Galunggung is very similar to the structural-functional theory. While, the concepts found in Kawruh Jiwo Ki Ageng Suryomentaram, such as the concepts of four division of human being, feeling (rasa) and intention (karep), and reciprocal relations between human and society. Those theories are genuine and authentical; and if the theories are developed, they will result in a typical of Nusantara sociological theory. AbstractIn 1561, after a deadlock of many years, a new printing-office was set up in Holland by Jan van Zuren and three others, including the author Dirck Coornhert. After one year of publishing the press concluded most of its activities, and-according to documentary information recently found- the company was dissolved. Jan van Zuren became the sole owner of the firm, which over the next three years only issued a few books on commission. The production then ended completely. What became of the typographical material of the printing-shop has always been a mystery. As a result of bibliographical analysis it has now become clear that all the typefaces, initials and ornaments (including the devices)-in fact the whole inventory-were removed to the French town of Sedan. With the permission of the Duke of Bouillon a press was founded, which issued a number of exclusively Protestant works, most of them in Dutch, together with a few political publications in French emanating from the Calvinist leaders of the Resistance to Spanish rule. In 1565 the first factor to run the printing-shop, Goossen Goebens, made his name known in the imprint of a panegyric on the foundation of the press. The following year his place was taken by Lenaert der Kinderen, who broke his contract with Plantin for this new post. In 1567 the press appears to have been active in another town, again in another country. At some time during this year the printing-shop was moved to Emden in East Frisia, where, in 1569, the typographical material is to be found in a book published by the emigrant Jean Malet. Meanwhile six publications, including five Protestant books, were issued without any imprint. Circumstantial evidence justifies the conclusion that one or both of Dirck Coornhert's brothers then were running the printing-office, which they probably already owned in the Sedan period.

Abstract Background: Light chain (AL) amyloidosis is a rare, progressive, and typically fatal hematologic disorder caused by plasma cells that produce misfolded AL protein, resulting in deposits of amyloid in tissues and organs that cause organ dysfunction and failure. Birtamimab is an investigational monoclonal antibody designed to neutralize circulating soluble amyloid and deposited insoluble amyloid, thus promoting the phagocytic clearance of amyloid deposits. In 2018, the global phase 3 VITAL study in newly diagnosed, treatment-naïve patients was terminated based on a futility analysis of the composite primary endpoint (time to all-cause mortality [ACM] or time to cardiac hospitalization >90 days after first study drug infusion); the final hazard ratio (HR) numerically favored birtamimab + standard of care (SOC) over placebo + SOC (0.835, 95% CI 0.5799, 1.2011; p=0.330). Post hoc analysis of ACM over 9 months revealed a pronounced survival benefit (HR=0.413, 95% CI 0.191, 0.895; p=0.025; Figure) in a subgroup of patients at high risk for early mortality (Mayo stage IV). At 9 months, the proportions of surviving patients were 74% and 49% in the birtamimab + SOC and placebo + SOC groups, respectively. Post hoc analyses of secondary endpoints in this subgroup also supported clinical and functional benefits of birtamimab + SOC, with clinically meaningful improvements observed in health-related quality of life (assessed with 36-Item Short Form Health Survey version 2; SF-36v2) and 6-minute walk test (6MWT) distance (both nominal p<0.05) at 9 months. Across all birtamimab clinical trials, no drug-related deaths, dose-limiting toxicities, or major risks were identified. Aims: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of birtamimab + SOC versus placebo + SOC in Mayo stage IV patients with AL amyloidosis by assessing time to ACM over 9 months. Methods: The phase 3, double-blind, placebo-controlled AFFIRM-AL study will enroll up to 150 Mayo stage IV patients with newly diagnosed, untreated AL amyloidosis. Patients will receive either 24 mg/kg intravenous birtamimab or placebo every 28 days (both arms will also receive SOC, defined as concomitant chemotherapy with a first-line bortezomib-containing regimen). Patients will be randomly assigned 2:1 to birtamimab or placebo and will be stratified at randomization based on their 6MWT distance (<300 meters vs ≥300 meters). The primary efficacy endpoint of AFFIRM-AL is time to ACM using a log-rank test. Secondary endpoints are change from baseline to month 9 in SF-36v2 and 6MWT distance. Safety endpoints include adverse events, clinical laboratory observations, and immunogenicity analyses. An interim efficacy analysis is planned when ~50% of the events have occurred. Results: Given the >50% relative risk reduction for ACM observed in the post hoc analysis of VITAL for the AL amyloidosis subpopulation of patients with Mayo stage IV disease, the phase 3 AFFIRM-AL study is designed to confirm this effect of birtamimab under a Special Protocol Assessment agreement with the US FDA. Conclusion/Summary: Effective treatments to improve survival in AL amyloidosis are needed, particularly for patients with advanced cardiac involvement, as median overall survival for those with Mayo stage IV disease is approximately 6-9 months. Birtamimab is the only investigational therapeutic in which a survival benefit has been observed, in a post hoc subgroup analysis of VITAL in patients with AL amyloidosis with advanced cardiac involvement. The study of indirect translations (IT) into Ukrainian, viewed from a psycholinguistic perspective, will contribute to a better understanding of Soviet national policies and the post-Soviet linguistic and cultural condition. The paper pioneers a discussion of the strategies and types of IT via Russian in the domains of literature and religion. In many cases the corresponding Russian translation, which serves as a source text for the Ukrainian one, cannot be established with confidence, and the “sticking-out ears” of Russian mediation may only be monitored at the level of sentence structure, when Russian wording underlies the Ukrainian text and distorts its natural fluency. The discussion substantiates the strategies and singles out the types of IT, in particular, (1) Soviet lower-quality retranslations of the recent, and mostly high-quality, translations of literary classics, which deliberately imitated lexical, grammatical, and stylistic patterns of the Russian language (became massive in scope in the mid1930s); (2) the translation-from-crib type, or translations via the Russian interlinear version, which have been especially common in poetry after WWII, from the languages of the USSR nationalities and the socialist camp countries; (3) overt relayed translations, based on the published and intended for the audience Russian translations that can be clearly defined as the source texts for the IT into Ukrainian; this phenomenon may be best illustrated with Patriarch Filaret Version of the Holy Scripture, translated from the Russian Synodal Bible (the translation started in the early 1970s); and, finally, (4) later Soviet (from the mid1950s) and post-Soviet (during Independence period) hidden relayed translations of literary works, which have been declared as direct ones but in fact appeared in print shortly after the publication of the respective works in Russian translation and mirrored Russian lexical and stylistic patterns. Abstract The adoptive transfer of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-reprogrammed T lymphocytes has demonstrated significant potential in various malignancies. Functional persistence of CAR T-cells in chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a key predictor of durable remissions, yet the characteristics of long-term persisting CAR-engineered T cells have not been extensively studied. We here studied the fate of CD19-specific (CAR19) T-cells in two leukemia patients who achieved and sustained a complete remission over a decade ago. Molecular fate mapping was carried out on long-term persisting CAR T cells using lentiviral vector integration site sequencing across multiple time points up to 9.0 and 7.2 years post-infusion in patients 1 and 2, respectively. This analysis revealed little if any CAR T-cell clonal stability in the first 1.6 years in patient 1. Close to year 2 the CAR T cell repertoire stabilized in the first patient, with a strong clonal focusing until the last follow-up. The second patient had episodes of repertoire stability from the first month to approximately 12 months later, as well as from year 1 to 5. The CAR T cell repertoire in both patients were dominated by a few clones which were detected across a multiyear time span. CAR T-cells were still detectable using flow and mass cytometry 10+ years post-infusion. Deep immunophenotyping using a 40-marker mass cytometry panel identified divergence in effector but convergence in memory CAR T cell characteristics, with a prominent highly activated effector-memory CD4+ population developing late after infusion, expressing immune regulatory molecules. The CD4+ CAR T-cells were notable for a subpopulation highly expressing Ki67, suggestive of a proliferative phenotype. Ki67[hi] CD4+ CAR T-cells steadily emerged as the dominant population in both patients: this population constituted 15.9% of CAR T-cells at month 1.8 in patient 1, increasing to 97.0% by year 9.3; and constituted 0.2% of CAR T-cells in patient 2 at month 2.4, increasing to 87.2% by year 7.2. We assessed Ki67 expression in the CD4+ CAR T-cells compared to the CAR-negative T cells from these patients at matched time points, finding that this level of Ki67 expression was strongly CAR T-cell specific. CD8+ CAR T-cells also exhibited a proliferative trend overall, but Ki67 expression was generally lower and less robustly observed compared to the CD4+ CAR T-cell subset. These Ki67[hi] CD4+ T cells expressed a distinct marker profile, including activation markers CD38, HLA-DR, and CD95; transcription factors EOMES and TOX; checkpoint markers CTLA-4, LAG-3, TIGIT; and memory markers CD27 and CCR7. Together, these data suggest two major phases of CAR T-cell therapy responses in these patients: an initial response phase dominated by cytotoxic CD8+ T cells and double-negative Helios[hi] CAR T-cells, and a long-term remission phase dominated by a uniquely proliferative CD4+ CAR T-cell phenotype. To characterize these long-persisting CAR T-cells at a single-cell resolution, we performed CITE-Seq with single-cell T cell receptor-beta VDJ profiling on CAR T-cells obtained 9.3 years post-infusion. These long-persisting CAR T-cells exhibited strong evidence of ongoing activation, proliferation, and aerobic glycolysis despite evidence of chronic antigen-mediated signaling. Our data in aggregate provide important insight into and the development of a long-term memory anti-tumor response, necessary for sustained remission in leukemia following CAR T-cell therapy. Given Singapore’s location at the confluence of important maritime trading routes, and that it was established as a British East India Company trading post in 1819, it is unsurprising that Singapore has become one of the centres of natural history collecting and research in Southeast Asia. Despite its small size, Singapore is home to a diverse herpetofauna assemblage and boasts a rich herpetological history. The first systematic studies of Singapore’s herpetofauna (within the Linnaean binomial framework) date back to Stamford Raffles and the naturalists hired by him who first came to the island in 1819. Specimens that were collected during and after this time were deposited in museums worldwide. Over time, 39 species from Singapore were described as new to science. Due to the entrepôt nature of Singapore with its associated purchasing and trading of specimens (both alive and dead), poor record-keeping, and human introductions, numerous extraneous species from outside of Singapore were reported to occur on the island. Such issues have left a complicated legacy of ambiguous records and taxonomic complications concerning the identity of Singapore’s species-rich herpetofauna, many of which were only resolved in the past 30–40 years. By compiling a comprehensive collection of records and publications relating to the herpetofauna of Singapore, we construct an updated and more accurate listing of the herpetofauna of Singapore. Our investigation culminated in the evaluation of 309 species, in which we compiled a final species checklist recognising 166 species (149 native and 17 non-native established species). Among the 149 native species are two caecilians, 24 frogs, one crocodilian, 13 turtles (three visitors), 34 lizards, and 75 snakes. Of the 17 non-native species are five frogs, four turtles, six lizards, and two snakes. The remaining 143 species represent species to be excluded from Singapore’s herpetofauna species checklist. For each of the 309 species examined, we provide species accounts and explanatory annotations. Furthermore, we discuss Singapore’s herpetofauna from a historical and conservation perspective. Immediate deforestation and nationwide urbanisation following colonisation completely eliminated many species from throughout much of the country and restricted them to small, degraded forest patches. We hope this publication highlights the importance of publishing observations and serves as a valuable resource to future researchers, naturalists, biological consultants, and policy makers in initiating studies on species ecology, distribution, status, and promoting conservation efforts to safeguard Singapore’s herpetofauna.

Background: Multiple myeloma (MM) is a heterogeneous disease that may be evaluated by a broad array of imaging and laboratory techniques to measure disease activity and predict prognosis. FDG PET/CT has been shown to be predictive of patient outcomes throughout the disease course, with several studies demonstrating that PET/CT is an independent prognostic factor for progression free survival and overall survival (OS). We sought to corroborate these findings by specifically examining the prognostic impact of PET/CT in the post-transplant setting. We retrospectively analyzed PET/CT in MM patients after consolidation therapy with autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT) and correlated these findings with time to progression (TTP) and OS to assess the impact of day 100 PET/CT findings as an independent prognostic factor. Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted on 231 myeloma patients who underwent ASCT between 2003-2016 and had a FDG PET/CT exam available for analysis at an average of day 104 post-transplant. We recorded the findings on PET/CT prior to transplant, where available. PET/CT without evidence of active/residual disease (PET-) was defined per IMWG guidelines (disappearance of every area of increased tracer uptake found on preceding PET/CT, or uptake < mediastinal blood pool, or decrease < surrounding normal tissue). PET/CT indicating active disease (PET+) was defined as any abnormal uptake or incompletely resolved uptake from previous exam. A Kaplan-Meier model was used to estimate median TTP and OS and the 2-sided log-rank test to compare groups. TTP and OS were calculated from the date of ASCT to the date of confirmed disease progression or death, respectively. Outcomes were then compared among patients with a PET/CT versus those without a PET/CT post-ASCT to assess for the presence of selection bias. A proportional hazards fit model was used for multivariate analysis. Results: The median length of follow-up for the entire cohort was 49 months (range: 43-58 mo), median TTP was 18.5 months (95% CI; 15.4-21.8), and median OS was 61.5 months (95% CI; 49-75). Among the entire cohort (n=231), 150 (65%) patients had a positive PET/CT exam at day 100 post-ASCT while 81 (35%) had a negative PET exam. There were 195 (84%) patients with a PET/CT exam prior to ASCT available for comparison, of which 161 (85%) were PET+ and 29 (15%) were PET-. Median time between PET/CT exams was 4.1 months (range 1.4-55). Median TTP among PET+ patients near day 100 was 12.4 months vs. 24 months PET- patients (p<.0001, Fig 1, panel A). Median OS in the PET+ group was 46 months compared to 99 months in the PET- group (p<.0001, Fig 1, panel B). Among patients with a prior PET/CT (195, 84%), median TTP was longer in patients with both exams negative compared to those who were day 100 PET- and previously PET+ (42.6 mo vs. 21.1 mo respectively; p<.0001). TTP was shorter in those who were day 100 PET+ and previously PET- compared to those with persistently PET+ on both exams (4.5 vs. 12.3 mo; p<.0001, Figure 2). Since PET/CT was not routinely ordered post ASCT, we also compared the outcomes between patients getting a PET/CT (n=231) and remaining patients undergoing ASCT (n=1764). Among patients with a day 100 PET/CT vs. those without a PET/CT exam, there was a slightly longer median TTP and OS in the group who did not have a post-ASCT PET/CT. Hazard ratios (HR) after adjusting for disease response (CR at day 100 vs. non-CR) were as follows: TTP PET+ HR 1.76 (1.2-2.4; p=0.003), OS PET+ HR 1.8 (1.2-2.6; p=.0016). Conclusions: MM is a heterogeneous disease that relies on different assessments for determining response, activity, and prognosis. Among these, PET/CT has shown promise in predicting prognosis, independent of disease state and conventional prognostic factors. Our study confirms these findings, demonstrating that an abnormal PET/CT near day 100 post-transplant is predictive of shorter TTP and OS. This prognostic significance remained even after adjusting for disease response (CR vs. non-CR), which could be explained by the sometimes patchy distribution of myeloma in the bone marrow, and identification of extramedullary disease by PET/CT. Taken together, these results demonstrate a possible role for incorporating PET/CT in the post-transplant setting as an independent prognostic variable in stratifying disease risk. The Polish version of the article was published in Roczniki Humanistyczne vol. 63, issue 4 (2015). The graphic series dedicated to the Mother of God, defined as Sub tuum praesidium confugimus, by Gottfried Bernhard Göz (1708–1774) was an inspiration for the monumental painting of the Rococo period in Poland in the times of the Saxon kings. The series of engravings with a devotional character made with the stipple engraving technique presents 12 signed Marian scenes: the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mary’s Birth, the Presentation of Mary, Mary and Joseph’s Matrimony, the Annunciation, the Visitation, the Purification, the images of Our Lady of Sorrows, and the Assumption. Other scenes are connected with Mary’s patronage – as the Queen of the Rosary—and her intercession. The prints, as researchers of Göz’s work assume, prove his mature style that was shaped in the years 1737–1740, when he formed a publishing “company” together with the Klauber brothers, Joseph Sebastian and Johann Baptist. He used the motifs occurring in the series many times e.g. on the vault of the nave in the Dominican nuns’ St Stefan Church in Habsthal (1748; Upper Swabia), in the sketch and painting for the Cistercian monastery in Birnau (1748–1750). These motifs were also found in Bavarian Marian shrines, e.g. Frauenchiemsee, Maria Mitleid Kapelle and Mater Dolorosa Kapelle with paintings by Balthasar Furtner (1761) and in a church in Niederaschau and Kleinmariazell (1763–1765). References to the series may also be found in the area of Slovenia, i.e. on the vault of Grajska Kapela in Novo Celje (1758–1763). The prints were known to the circle of Lviv artists active in the 18th century and they were used as models for numerous figural compositions. First of all the Lviv painter Stanisław Stroiński (1719–1802) used them for the decorations, among others, of the interior of the Franciscan Marian sanctuary in Leżajsk, in the Franciscan Holy Spirit Church in Krystynopol (1756–1759 (now Chervonohrad in Ukraine), and in the decoration of St Anne’s Chapel in the Holy Trinity Benedictine Church in Przemyśl. The series of prints was also used by the painter Gabriel Sławiński in the decoration of the chancel in St Lawrence Parish Church in the village of Żółkiewka and on the vault of the post-Pauline St Louis Church in Włodawa. The engravings are a significant model for Polish painting because of their style, technique and original approach to the conventional religious theme.

Abstract Background: Allo-SCT is the only curative option for patients with high risk and relapsed/refractory T-cell malignancies. Even among allo-SCT recipients, survival is less than 50% and relapse rates are 55-60%. We developed a clinical trial to decrease relapse after allo-SCT for these patients using romidepsin (rom), a histone deacetylase inhibitor approved for the treatment of relapsed T-cell lymphomas. Based on pre-clinical data demonstrating enhanced and synergistic cell killing with the addition of rom to busulfan (Bu) and fludarabine (Flu) in malignant T-cells, we created a novel transplant regimen (BuFluRom). We hypothesized this regimen, coupled with maintenance rom (m-rom), would enhance malignant T-cell killing, eradicate MRD at transplant, decrease relapse, and stimulate the GVL effect by stimulating NK-cells. Here we present results of this clinical trial, with correlative data evaluating NK-cytotoxicity. This is the first trial designed specifically to treat T-cell malignancies with allo-SCT. (NCT02512497) Methods: This is a phase I/II clinical trial. Eligible patients had: a diagnosis of T-cell leukemia (including T-acute lymphoblastic leukemia) or T-cell lymphoma (cutaneous or peripheral) in at least a partial remission requiring an allo-SCT, <70 years of age, with a matched sibling/unrelated donor. The primary objective was to determine the recommended phase 2 dose (RP2D) of rom from 3 dose levels (1, 2, 3 mg/m2) when combined with BuFlu (AUC 20000 or 16000, Figure). Patients received standard tacrolimus/methotrexate GVHD prophylaxis with ATG for MUDs. Once RP2D was determined, an expansion cohort of up to 30 patients (total) was included. M-rom was initiated between day +28 and +100 for 1 year (2 years max). The effect of rom on NK-cell cytotoxicity was assessed on samples taken pre-transplant, and 1, 3, 6, 12 months post allo-SCT. NK cytotoxicity was assessed by isolating mononuclear cells from patient samples and targeting them against K562 and T-cell lymphoma targets using the calcein-AM assay. Fine-Gray models were used to estimate PFS, OS, and cumulative incidence, and compare survival curves across groups. Results: 21 patients have been enrolled (Table). One DLT was observed (VOD), at dose level 2, and the RP2D of rom in conditioning was determined to be 2 mg/m2. With a median follow-up time of 10.1 months, the median OS has not been reached (3.3-NR months), with a 1 and 3-year OS probability of 62.8% & 55.8%. The median PFS is 28.2 months (3.8-28.1), with 1 and 3 year PFS of 57% & 30.4%. Cumulative incidence (CI) of NRM at day 100 and 1 year were 14.8% and 20%. CI of grade II-IV aGHVD and extensive cGVHD were 47.6% and 18.5%. The CI of relapse (CIR) was 22.8% at 1 year (95% CI 6.6-44.9%). There was no difference between PFS among patients with MRD versus those without MRD prior to transplant (p=0.96), and no difference in 1-year CIR (p=0.9). PFS and CIR at 1 year was substantially better in the lymphoma than leukemia patients (85.7% vs 44%, p=0.049), and (0% vs 32.1%, p=0.05). No patients with PTCL relapsed, and 3/5 patients with T-PLL are alive, disease free. 13/21 (62%) of patients received m-rom with a median number of 10 cycles (range 1-41). (Table) 7 patients experienced grade 3/4 adverse events (AE), though no patients discontinued m-rom due to toxicity. NK-cytotoxicity was higher at each time point in patients who received m-rom compared to those who did not, though there were insufficient patients to reach statistical significance. When NK-cytotoxicity was assessed between the two groups after starting maintenance, NK-cytotoxicity in the m-rom group was significantly higher than in those without m-rom (p=0.05) (Figure). Conclusions: BuFluRom with m-rom is effective at decreasing relapse in patients with T-cell malignancies, with 1-year CI relapse below expected relapse rates for this set of diseases. Toxicities were similar to standard BuFlu alone and the RP2D of rom in conditioning was established at 2 m g/m2. Intriguingly, BuFluRom mitigated the poor outcomes of patients with MRD prior to transplant. Further, early data suggests m-rom enhances NK-cell cytotoxicity post allo-SCT, potentially augmenting the GVL effect and accounting for decreased relapse rates. Long-term follow-up is needed to evaluate these results, but these results suggest the BuFluRom regimen with m-rom could become a new option for patients receiving allo-SCT for T-cell malignancies to mitigate relapse. Abstract Background: IL-21 expanded NK cells have high expression of CD16 and have demonstrated antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC) activity in combination with monoclonal antitumor antibodies (mAb). Mogamulizumab (moga) is a mAb targeting CCR4 that is defucosylated to enhance its binding to CD16, thereby enhancing ADCC of NK cells against targets expressing CCR4. We designed a pilot phase I clinical trial studying this combination in patients with relapsed/refractory (r/r) CTCL and ATLL. The study is soon opening to accrual at the OSU James Cancer Center (NCT04848064). Study is conduced under IND 26888. Preclinical data: Allogeneic NK cells obtained from buffy coat (Red Cross Blood Bank), were expanded for 14 days on CSTX002 feeder cells, cryopreserved, and then thawed and recovered for 48 hours prior to testing. Malignant T-cells were incubated with moga (at 10ng/µl) for 30 minutes prior to co-culture with NK cells and cytotoxicity was determined by the calcein release assay (Somanchi et al, J Vis Exp 2011). Malignant T-cells were obtained from peripheral blood from 3 patients with multiply relapsed CTCL and all have circulating Sezary cells and from CCRF-CEM cell line (T-ALL cell line that expresses CCR4). No significant cytotoxicity was observed with moga alone and significant synergy in cytotoxicity was observed between and moga and NK cells in all 3 patient samples and also CCRF-CEM cell line (figure 1: A and B). Two-fold increase in ADCC was observed with addition of moga to NK cells (p=0.0272; figure 1C) Design: Patients will receive lymphodepleting chemotherapy (Fludarabine/Cyclophosphamide) on days -5 to -3 prior to cell infusion, moga weekly for 4 doses starting on day -7 (prior to the first NK cell infusion) and then every 2 weeks until toxicity or progression. Patients will receive third-party ideal-donor mbIL-21 expanded NK cells once every 2 weeks for 6 total doses (Figure 1D). Donors meeting ideal-donor characteristics from National Marrow Donor Program were identified in collaboration with Be The Match Biotherapies. PBMNC were collected by apheresis, CD3-depleted, expanded for 14 days as previously described, and cryopreserved in ready-to-infuse aliquots. NK cells will be thawed and infused in 2 dosing cohorts; 3x10 7 and 1x10 8 cells/kg in a standard dose-escalation design. Primary endpoint is the maximum tolerated dose of NK cells given in combination with standard-dose moga. Dose-limiting toxicity (DLT) is defined as any steroid refractory graft vs host disease (GVHD), severe NK cell-related toxicities, or other unusual events occurring from D-7 until D+84 post last dose of NK cells. Dose-escalation will proceed in the standard 3+3 fashion. Secondary endpoints include overall response rate (ORR) per ISCL/USCLC/EORTC consensus panel, for CTCL, and international consensus panel, for ATLL and progression-free and overall survival. Correlative endpoints include quality of life impact as captured by Skindex-16 score, serum cytokine levels in blood, persistence of NK cells by chimerism studies, correlation between CCR4 staining of tumor cells in skin and trafficking of NK cells to skin by immunohistochemistry or immunofluorescence in serial skin biopsies and ORR (Figure 1D). Abbreviated eligibility: Eligible patients will be 18 years, or older, with biopsy-proven, measurable, stage IB-IVB relapsed or refractory CTCL or ATLL, progressing on at least one standard chemotherapy. Other eligibility criteria include: ECOG performance status of ≤ 1, no systemic anti-neoplastic therapy within a week or 3 half-lives, adequate laboratory parameters including: absolute neutrophil count ≥1000/mm³, platelet count ≥50,000/mm³, total bilirubin ≤ 2 x upper limit of normal (ULN), AST/ALT ≤ 3 x ULN or ≤ 5 x ULN in patients with documented hepatic involvement by lymphoma, and calculated creatinine clearance ≥ 50 ml/min., disease free of prior malignancies for ≥ 2 years with exception of treated basal cell, squamous cell carcinoma of the skin, or carcinoma in situ of the cervix or breast and life expectancy ≥ 90 days. Patients who were pre-treated with moga, pregnant, HIV positive, with active hepatitis B and C, active CNS involvement, active grade II-IV acute or extensive chronic GVHD or other serious medical comorbid conditions are excluded. Abstract Background: Genetically modified T cells expressing an anti-CD19 murine chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) result in response rates of up to 90% in patients with relapsed or refractory (r/r) B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Durable remissions are limited by relapses of both CD19+ disease, correlating with loss of persistence, and CD19- disease, due to target antigen loss. The use of humanized CAR T products with improved persistence and dual antigen targeting are strategies that may improve relapse free survival. Methods: Adult patients with r/r ALL were co-administered two humanized autologous CAR T cell products, one targeted to CD19 (huCART19) and the other to CD22 (CART22-65s) after fludarabine and cyclophosphamide lymphodepletion. A three day fractionated adaptive dosing scheme was used in which the second or third huCART19 and CART22-65s infusions could be held for early signs of cytokine release syndrome (CRS). Total planned dose was 2.0x10 6 CART22-65sf2 cells/kg and 2.0x10 6 huCART19 cells/kg. Safety of the novel combination was the primary endpoint of the study; feasibility and efficacy were key secondary endpoints. Results: Of 13 treated patients (median age 46 (range 28-71)), two had received prior murine CART19 cells, 8 had prior blinatumomab, 8 had prior inotuzumab and 10 had a prior allogeneic stem cell transplant (SCT). The two products had distinct peak expansions which correlated with two clinically distinct episodes of CRS in some patients. The median time to peak huCART19 expansion was 9 days versus 16 days for CART22-65s. Eleven patients experienced CRS, all Grade 1 or 2. Two patients had immune effector cell-associated neurotoxicity syndrome (ICANS), one of which was grade 4. Two patients died within 30 days of infusion, one from complications of treatment (Grade 4 ICANS and sepsis) and one from rapidly progressive disease. One patient developed hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis-like syndrome that was clinically and temporally distinct from a CRS event; this was characterized by delayed pancytopenia, transaminase elevation and hypofibrinogenemia, similar to events reported in other trials of CART22. This syndrome was refractory to IL6 and IL1beta inhibition but ultimately responded to ruxolitinib. Of the 11 patients evaluable for response, 100% achieved CR with unmeasurable residual disease (uMRD) one month after infusion. One of the 11 had molecular recurrence 9 months post infusion. The other 10 patients are alive and remain in an uMRD remission with a median follow up of 6.2 months (range 0.2 to 25 months) and none have proceeded to consolidative SCT. Three months after infusion, 9/11 patients had detectable huCART19 and 8/11 patients had detectable CART22-65s. At 6 months, 7/8 evaluable patients had detectable huCART19 cells and 4/8 patients had detectable CART22-65s. All three patients with 12 months follow-up had detectable huCART19 and CART22-65s. Conclusion: Co-administration and adaptive dosing of CART22-65s with huCART19 in adult patients with r/r ALL is feasible and effective. The two different products demonstrated differential expansion and persistence kinetics. Despite prior exposure to CD19- and/or CD22-specific immunotherapies, all evaluable patients achieved CR with uMRD; we continue to monitor CAR T cell persistence and its impact on durability of response. Ketika merancang penataan massa rumah tradisional Bali, diperlukan proses yang erat kaitannya dengan budaya Bali yang merupakan wujud pengaturan tingkah laku agama Hindu dalam mengharmonisasikan alam semesta dan segala isinya/ makrokosmos (Bhuana Agung) dengan mikrokosmos (Bhuana Alit). Penataan massa tersebut dibedakan menjadi utama, madya, dan nista, dimana dalam penataannya dapat mengalami perkembangan dan perubahan yang dapat dipengaruhi dari latar belakang, kepercayaan, dan etnis, serta kebutuhan dan keinginan pemilik rumah. Seperti halnya pada Rumah milik pensiunan angkatan laut yang beretnis Jawa-Manado di Jalan Semolowaru, Surabaya, yang menjadi studi kasus penelitian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan penerapan tatanan massa rumah tradisional Bali pada obyek studi yang pemiliknya beretnis Jawa-Manado. Prinsip-prinsip tata aturan penataan massa rumah tradisional Bali tidak sepenuhnya diikuti pada obyek studi. When designing the mass arrangement of traditional Balinese houses, a process that is closely related to Balinese culture is a form of regulation of Hindu behavior in harmonizing the universe and all its contents/ macrocosm (Bhuana Agung) with microcosm (Bhuana Alit). The structuring of the masses can be divided into main (utama, intermediate (Madya), and contemptible (nista), whare in its arrangement can experience developments and changes that can be influenced from background, beliefs, and ethnicity, as well as the needs and desires of the homeowner. As is the case with the Javanese-Manado ethnic retired house on Semolowaru street, Surabaya, which is a research case study. This study aims to describe the application of the mass order of traditional Balinese houses to the study objects whose owners are Javanese-Manado ethnic. In 2022, the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists (RMAG) celebrated its centennial anniversary. Founded on January 26, 1922, RMAG (called Rocky Mountain Association of Petroleum Geologists until 1947) grew out of a desire and need for petroleum geologists in Denver to come together in a collegial environment. Petroleum geology had become an important component of exploration and development, with significant discoveries in the greater Denver Basin (Florence Field) as well as east-central Wyoming (Salt Creek Field) and northwest Colorado (Rangely Field). Through the first 25 years (1922–1947), membership hovered around 50, reflecting an initial boom of World War I through the 1920s, and then surviving the Great Depression and World War II. Post-World War II through the early 1980s, the world saw a huge increase in demand for oil (less-so for natural gas), spurring the “golden years” of Rocky Mountain exploration and development of many now-famous discoveries. Denver grew as a petroleum business center with large (major) to small (independent) companies, leading to steady RMAG membership growth, which peaked at 4,524 in 1984. During this period, RMAG established a legacy of publishing (The Mountain Geologist and the Geologic Atlas of the Rocky Mountain Region, aka “the Big Red Book”), sponsored multi-day field trips and symposia, hosted weekly luncheons with 200–300 attendees at the peak, and maintained a dedicated office staff located in downtown Denver. The legacy “golden” years ended with the “crash” in oil prices in 1985–86, and membership declined about 7% per year until the mid-1990s, levelling out at 1,900 members. Within the ashes of the 1984–1995 period, however, RMAG began its On the Rocks field trip series (1986) and published several sold-out guidebooks. It inaugurated the 3D Seismic Symposium (1995) co-hosted with the Denver Geophysical Society (DGS) and hosted several successful AAPG and Rocky Mountain Section AAPG annual meetings. In the 1990s, natural gas hosted in “unconventional” reservoirs began an exploration/development revolution, spurred on by federal price supports and construction of a major gas pipeline to the West Coast in 1992. By 2000, huge natural gas resources locked in Rocky Mountain “tight gas” reservoirs became economically viable with improved hydraulic fracturing technology and increasing gas prices. RMAG membership began growing along with the increased natural gas-drilling activity, and RMAG offered multiple well-attended symposia and publications highlighting unconventional gas plays. A new boom began in 2008 with the advent of horizontal drilling for oil in the Bakken Shale of the Williston Basin and Niobrara Formation of the Denver Basin, and a massive increase in oil price. Consequently, RMAG membership reached a secondary peak of 2,978 in 2012. However, as oil prices began declining steadily in 2014, membership also decreased. By 2016, oil price decline led to the familiar cycle of company closings and layoffs. In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic shut down all in-person RMAG activities, heavily impacting the organization. RMAG pivoted to online (virtual) luncheons, symposia, and field trips. Even so, membership declined to about 1200 members in 2022. The challenges that the RMAG will face in the next 100 years will be daunting. Long-term sustainability of the RMAG will require its members and member-leaders to recognize and embrace changes as they occur.

Abstract Introduction Chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR T) therapy has resulted in a treatment paradigm shift for certain hematologic malignancies, with United States Food and Drug Administration approval of several products for patients with relapsed/refractory (RR) aggressive B cell lymphomas (BCL). Although most BCL patients are initially treated by cH/O physicians, current delivery of CAR T is limited to major academic centers. Consequently, there is a dearth of reporting on the complex aspects of cH/O involvement before and after CAR T therapy administration, which complicates determination of the magnitude of potential benefits. To appropriately incorporate this therapeutic option, and optimize patient care, communication and cooperation between cH/O and the CAR T center is critical; at a minimum, the referring cH/O's access to all aspects of the CAR T therapy continuum is paramount. To that end, this study surveyed cH/O physicians to determine: 1) whether adequate data were recorded and available to the cH/O; 2) timing of referral, leukapheresis, and CAR T infusion; 3) treatment prior to CAR T referral, and 4) physician perceptions on patient eligibility, barriers to access, and noncompliance. Methods This retrospective, observational, multicenter chart review assessed adult patients with RR DLBCL who received CAR T therapy in 2019. Patients with ≥6 months of post-CAR T therapy administration follow-up were identified by cH/O physicians participating in the Cardinal Health Oncology Provider Extended Network (OPEN). cH/O physicians provided their perceptions and experience with CAR T therapy via survey and abstracted patient data using electronic case report forms. Patient demographic/clinical/treatment characteristics and physician perceptions were summarized descriptively. Results Surveyed Perceptions: Top barriers to CAR T referral: patient choice (39%), location of CAR T center (31%), and preference for other therapy (31%); 39% reported no specific barriers. Rapid disease progression (69%) was the main reason patients would not undergo CAR T therapy after referral, followed by patient ineligibility (62%), patient choice (62%), and insurance coverage/patient cost (46%). Chart Abstraction: Data on 65 RR DLBCL patients were collected from 13 cH/O practices in all 4 U.S. regions (Table). Median duration of follow-up from CAR T therapy referral was 15 months. Median age at RR DLBCL diagnosis was 60 years, and most patients were male (63%) and White (79%). Most patients (92%) received anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody (mAb) + CHOP (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisone) as 1L therapy. At referral, 80% of patients (48/60) had lactate dehydrogenase levels above the upper limit of normal. Prior to CAR T infusion, all patients were reported to receive lymphodepletion treatment with fludarabine + cyclophosphamide. Median intervals among patients with and without disease progression, respectively, were: 9 weeks (8 vs 10) from CAR T referral to CAR T infusion, which comprised 5 weeks (4 vs 6) from CAR T referral to leukapheresis and 4 weeks (both groups) from leukapheresis to CAR T infusion. Conclusions The cH/O physicians' perceived barriers to CAR T therapy for their patients appear to conflict with the patient data; 69% thought that rapid disease progression precluded CAR T therapy but the reported 9-week interval from referral to CAR T infusion suggests reasonably timely intervention. This highlights the critical need for early referral with a commitment to prompt patient evaluation by the treatment center. The cH/O physician is vital for CAR T referrals and treatment decisions, and the recent increasing access to patients via telemedicine may help better integrate the cH/O, the patient, and the treatment center to promote access of patients to CAR T cell therapies, particularly when limited other options are available.
