Abstract (sommario):
This paper highlights the importance of considering two facets of the content of internal conflicts: The concrete subject theme of the conflict and the abstract motivations that people perceive as being conflicted (e.g. values implicated in the conflict). The paper demonstrates how personal value priorities contribute to the understanding of internal conflicts. In two studies I examined the relationship between values and the content of internal conflicts. In Study 1 ( N = 250), students described a central conflict that they were experiencing and analysed the values they perceived as opposing in their conflict. Results indicated that the reported conflicts were usually between values not conceptualized as motivationally opposite to each other. Furthermore, personal value priorities were related to the values implicated in the conflict both directly and indirectly by their effect on the themes of the conflicts. In Study 2 ( N = 230), working parents analysed the values they perceive as coming in conflict in two work–family dilemmas. Findings supported the premise that values explain individual differences in the motivational meaning attributed to a conflict even when the conflict theme is held constant. Abstract (sommario):
This study focuses on the role of communication in mediating conflict in organizations. Data were obtained by observing and documenting a case on organization conflict that occurred at PT. Liek Motor Indrapura Surabaya. This study is a descriptive qualitative study using Blake & Mouton's theory of conflict management and Thomas & Kilmann's managerial grid theory to understand conflict and its solutions in the organization. The results of the study find that communication serves as the best approach in resolving and mediating conflicts in organizations. Through communication, conflicted parties determine the best solution to mediate their interests. Thus, this study proves that communication can function as the best media in conflict management because it is not only able to mediate and resolve the conflicts but also able to prevent other conflicts occur in the organization.

Abstract (sommario):
Conflicts negatively affect the teamwork atmosphere. They lead to a deterioration of the psychological microclimate and reduce employability and deteriorate workers’ health. The authors noted that conflicts arise from different points of view, interests, manners, and management styles of conflict parties. Thus, an essential skill of any health care leader is the ability to prevent conflicts, reduce their negative consequences, resolve disputes, and create an atmosphere of mutual intelligibility. This study is devoted to conducting theoretical and practical research on conflict management in healthcare to form proposals for reducing the conflict level in healthcare institutions. The research uses methods of a systematic approach, sociological survey, testing, questionnaires, systematization, comparison, and logical generalization. The practical analysis of the conflict management process was carried out in the municipal non-profit enterprise of the Sumy Regional Council «Regional Diagnostic Center in Shostka». The study sample consists of ten doctors and ten nurses. This study conducted the following questionnaires: «Are you a conflicted person?»; «Assessment of patients’ conflict personality»; «Assessment of personality conflict»; «Assessment of balance in conflicts and propensity to nervous breakdowns», K. Thomas’ test «Identification of behaviors in conflict situations», A. Asinger’s methods of diagnosing aggression in the relationship. The findings showed that nurses are characterized by a higher level of personal conflict than doctors. Besides, in most conflict situations, health professionals prefer cooperation as a tactic of negotiation in conflicts. However, a third of conflict situations are characterized by the parties’ «opposition». The results showed that the most common conflict situations are the doctor-doctor and nurse-nurse. Conflicts between doctor-patient and nurse-patient occurred approximately equally. 75% of respondents indicated an average level of aggression. Based on the obtained results, to prevent and reduce the number of conflicts in health care institutions, the authors emphasized the importance of counseling and psychological work to resolve disputes, creating conditions for positive psychological relations between health professionals and patients, active use of information, communication, social-psychological, organizational technologies of conflict management.

Abstract (sommario):
With both professional and personal responsibilities, employees often conflict when reconciling the demands of family and work. The study aimed to investigate whether work to family conflict experienced by employees of Kashan University of medical sciences differed from family to work conflict.A cross sectional study was carried out in 2014. A random sample of 202 employees in the four schools affiliated with Kashan University of medical sciences located in central of Iran was selected and responded to items of the questionnaires using a 7-point Likert scale. Work-family conflict was measured using Carlson et al.’s 18 items scale. Higher values indicate higher levels of work to family conflict and family to work conflict. Analysis was carried out using SPSS 16.Employees experienced work-family conflict in the two directions. Work to family conflict with mean of 31.5510.68 was significantly (t=9.87, P<0.001) more than family to work conflict with 25.588.77. They experienced different time-, strain-, and behavior-based work to family conflicts than time-, strain-, and behavior-based family to work conflicts (P<0.01).Work to family conflict was more than family to work conflict. Therefore, University authorities should try to improve working conditions through changing the working culture and re-looking into their work structure and employment policies to moderate the experience of work to family conflicts encountered by the employees.

Abstract (sommario):
Purpose This paper aims to add to the current knowledge about conflict management by examining the relationships between conflict type, conflict expression intensity and the use of the conflict management approach. Design/methodology/approach The authors test theory-based hypotheses using a field study of new product development teams in an interdisciplinary Masters program (Study 1) and an experimental vignette study (Study 2). Findings Results show that people are more likely to respond to task conflict and conflicts expressed with less intensity using collectivistic conflict management approaches (i.e. problem-solving, compromising and yielding), and to relationship conflicts and conflicts expressed with higher intensity through forcing, an individualistic conflict management approach. Information acquisition and negative emotions experienced by team members mediate these relationships. Practical implications Knowing how the characteristics of the conflict (type and expression intensity) affect conflict management, managers can counteract the tendency to use dysfunctional, forcing conflict management approaches in response to high intensity conflicts, as well as to relationship conflicts and support the tendency to use collectivistic conflict management approaches in response to low intensity conflict, as well as task conflicts. Originality/value The authors examine an alternative to the prevailing view that conflict management serves as a moderator of the relationship between conflict and team outcomes. The research shows that conflict type and intensity of conflict expression influence the conflict management approach as a result of the information and emotion they evoke. The authors open avenues for future research on the complex and intriguing relationships between conflict characteristics and the conflict management approach.

Abstract (sommario):
This paper discusses the phenomenological approach in the context of conflict resolution. Phenomenology transforms the traditional view of conflict by delving into a profound understanding of its roots, values, emotions, and the perspectives of individuals involved. In this approach, conflict is seen as a social phenomenon involving individual or group awareness, empathy, sympathy, and collective consciousness. The importance of understanding subjective meanings and individual experiences in conflict is emphasized as the key to effective conflict resolution. The conflict resolution process from a phenomenological perspective involves steps of identification, diagnosis, and treatment designed to uncover and comprehend the conflict's roots comprehensively. The role of the subjects in this process is crucial, as they must possess the ability to empathize, see from various perspectives, and facilitate effective communication. In conflict resolution methods based on the phenomenological approach, reduction also becomes a key element, involving efforts to cleanse understanding from biases and assumptions before taking action. Introspection is also vital, helping subjects become more aware of their roles and contributions in the conflict. The phenomenological approach enables us to resolve conflicts in a more profound, holistic, and sustainable manner. With a deeper understanding of conflict's roots and the emotions involved, we can develop more effective solutions and integrate various perspectives contributing to the conflict.

Abstract (sommario):
The purpose of writing this article is to study and understand the study of conflict towards peace. This research is motivated by the diversity of ethnicity, ethnicity, language, culture, religion and other differences that cause conflicts between people. The impact and changes that occur after this conflict raise the question of how this conflict can make changes that give birth to various forms and patterns of conflict and provide solutions for resolution. This paper will explain several subjects which will later illustrate the position of conflict studies towards the study of peace. The first part of the writing will discuss the conflict and the dynamics of the conflict. In the second part of the discussion will focus on the relationship between conflicts with solutions to resolution and the variety of conflicts that arise from changes that occur.

Abstract (sommario):
Constructive conflict resolution programmes are based on the idea that children and youth do no have sufficient knowledge of the procedures and skills for conflict resolution, which is why the conflicts they take part in soon become destructive. Notwithstanding the indubitable practical significance of the constructive conflict resolution programmes, it can be objected that they are not sufficiently based on empirical findings about the characteristics of conflicts in childhood and adolescence. Hence, this paper explores different types of conflict with peers and friends with the aim of determining the preferred conflict resolution strategies and using the obtained results to consider the implications for the improvement of constructive conflict resolution programmes. The research was conducted on the sample of 286 adolescents. The method of hypothetical conflict situations was used for studying the preferred conflict resolution strategies. The key results, which should be taken into account when developing constructive conflict resolution programmes, indicate that the preference for a conflict resolution strategy varies depending on conflict type (problem solving is mostly used in conflicts occurring due to opinion differences and disrespect of agreement, unlike the conflicts arising due to provocations, stubbornness and dishonesty) and relationship types (in conflicts with friends, adolescents prefer problem solving, while in peer conflicts they more frequently opt for competition).

Abstract (sommario):
This study investigated the conflict transformation pattern and the mediating role of emotions in nurse-physician conflicts. Nurses experience relatively heavier amount of relationship conflict compared to physicians. Relationship conflicts are known to have adverse effects on team satisfaction and team performance. Using a five-day diary study, data was collected from nurses in large hospitals. The respondents selected the physicians with the most frequent interaction, and answered questionnaires regarding that specific interaction while most existing studies used the information elicited from the interaction with the most conflicts. Several HLM analyses on conflicts scales showed that there were conflict transformation from task conflict to relationship conflict and that positive emotion mediated the transformation process. In other words, once task conflict was experienced, positive emotion decreases, and the decrease leads to the increase of relationship conflict the following day. However, the emotion itself did not carry over to the next day. This result suggests that nurses are capable of psychological detachment, which buffers the emotional association for two consecutive days.

Abstract (sommario):
The conflicts in Aceh and Sri Lanka share many similarities. However, there have been significantly different post-tsunami dynamics of conflict resolution in Aceh and Sri Lanka. In this article, the conflict resolution processes in Aceh and Sri Lanka will be compared. The main goals of this article are to (1) identify the main factors that failed to resolve the Sri Lanka conflict and the main factors that contributed to the successful post-tsunami resolution of the Aceh conflict, and (2) to determine whether the Sri Lanka conflict's failure to be resolved will repeat in Aceh if Aceh is faced with a similar natural disaster (tsunami). This article uses a qualitative approach with multiple case studies. As a result, the author uses a scientific model that includes additional concepts, expert opinions, and theories about conflict resolution to comprehend and analyze the resolution of the Aceh conflict and the conflict in Sri Lanka. These findings demonstrate that the success or failure of post-disaster resolution in two areas depends critically on the level of trust between conflicting parties. As a reaction, the violations of the Helsinki Accords' terms are more likely to trigger a third wave of conflicts than future natural disasters In Aceh.

Abstract (sommario):
Objective: This study investigated how work and family demands and resources relate to fathers’ perceived work-family conflicts. Background: Increasing expectations for family involvement and the lingering centrality of employment in the male life course pose challenges for fathers to combine different life domains. However, most studies on work-family interface continue to focus on mothers and examine work-to-family conflict and family-to-work conflicts separately. Method: First, we used cluster analysis to identify a typology of four groups, each with different manifestations of work-to-family and family-to-work conflict. We then analyzed the relationship between fathers’ group membership in this typology and a number of relevant work and family demands and resources using multinomial logistic regression on a sample of 5,226 German nuclear families with at least one child under 18. Results: Our findings revealed that the greatest proportion of fathers (38.2%) reported being primarily pressured from work (=work-to-family conflict predominates), 19.8% primarily from the family (=family-to-work conflict predominates), but another 13.4% reported feeling conflicted in both directions; only 28.6% of fathers reported being more or less free of conflicts. Results of multinominal logistic regression suggested that long work hours, intrusive work demands, and long commute associated with fathers’ work-to-family conflict or dual conflicts. The higher the fathers’ weekday time investment in childcare and the better the perceived couple and family relationship, the lower the likelihood of fathers’ experience of work-to-family and dual conflict, although the likelihood of family-to-work conflict is unaffected. In addition, a higher family income and having a non-working partner negatively associated with fathers’ perceived work-family conflicts. Conclusion: These findings have strong implications for family-supportive practices and policies that are yet to focus on fathers in their difficult position between work and family obligations.

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract:Pharmaceutical representatives use detailing, gift giving, and the donation of free samples as a means to gain access to and influence over physicians. In biomedical ethics, there has been an ongoing debate as to whether these practices constitute an unethical conflict of interest (COI) on the part of the physician. Underlying this debate are the following antecedent questions: (1) what counts as a conflict of interest, (2) when are such conflicts unethical, and (3) how should the ethical physician respond to conflicts? This article distinguishes between two perspectives that have been developed on these issues: a reliable performance model (PM) and a trustworthiness model (TM). PM advocates argue that a conflict of interest can only be established by demonstrating that a particular influence is undermining the reliability of the physician’s judgment, and this requires empirical evidence of negative patient outcomes. TM advocates, on the other hand, argue that because of the fiduciary nature of the patient-physician relationship, physicians have an obligation to develop and be worthy of patient trust. A COI, on this view, is a condition that undermines the warrant for patients to judge a physician as trustworthy. Although there is much that is right in the PM, it is argued that the TM does a better job of responsibly addressing the unique vulnerabilities of the patient. The TM is then applied to the practices of detailing, gift giving, and sample donation. It is concluded that these practices constitute an unethical conflict of interest.

Abstract (sommario):
Like other types of diaspora groups, conflict-generated diasporas display a strong attachment to their countries of origin, and structure their identities and ideologies around discourses referring to their homeland. However, their inner cleavages, born out of the conflicts raging in their home countries, can run very deep. The maintenance of their ethnic, religious, linguistic or political divisions even generations after the migration process has taken place sometimes leads to conflict transportation processes, whereby the conflicts raging in their home countries are reproduced and maintained in countries of settlement. Incidents opposing rival diaspora groups are thus often interpreted as a prolongation or reproduction of core conflicts raging in their regions of origin. Against this assumption, this article argues that if transported conflicts often formally take the shape of core conflicts, and emulate them by using the same language, symbols and ethnic/religious/linguistic categories, they are also deeply transformed by the migration process itself. In this perspective, this article explores the transformation and reinvention of conflict-generated diasporas’ politics, and proposes to look at the autonomisation processes they display vis-à-vis the core conflicts, in terms of content but also of objectives, ultimately generating a drift at the political and organisational levels.

Abstract (sommario):
With the transformation of industry in China, and industrial production changes from an incremental economy to a stock economy, a massive renovation of industrial buildings and intensification of renovation conflicts coexist. Industrial building renovation conflict seriously affects industrial building renovation. Based on the Grounded Theory, this paper selects Ningbo City as the research area and builds the “interest–situation–conflict” model through investigation and interview, exploring the reasons for conflicts and the influencing factors of industrial building renovation. Situational factors for three types of conflicts, namely, government–residents, government–enterprises, and residents–enterprises, are greatly affected by policies and systems, supervision and feedback, and different standpoints, respectively. Based on the “interest-situation-conflict” model, this paper analyzes the reasons for the conflicts among government, enterprises, and residents and puts forward countermeasures to solve nimby (not in my back yard) conflict, compensation conflict, development conflict, goals conflict, financial conflict, participation conflict, and conflict of interests and rights, so as to promote the renovation of industrial buildings.

Abstract (sommario):
Relevance. Conflicts play a significant role in the development of society, the state and all of humanity. They arise in interpersonal relationships, economics, organizational activities, social problems, and world politics. The study of the essence of conflicts, the causes of their emergence and ways to resolve them is carried out by conflictology, which was formed as an interdisciplinary field of knowledge in the middle of the 20th century. Currently, it has become obvious that the conflict itself is not a negative phenomenon, but a competently resolved conflict situation can benefit all parties to the conflict. As a result, it became necessary to consider conflicts not only from a descriptive, philosophical point of view, but also to be able to predict a possible conflict situation, describe its development over time and calculate acceptable ways out of it. This approach to the study of conflicts is mathematical modeling, based on mathematical methods for describing conflict situations, which allow analyzing conflicts and predicting their outcome. The purpose is to describe a general methodology for constructing a conflict scheme of any origin within the framework of the mathematical theory of conflicts. The objectives is to consider and analyze a discrete dynamic model of conflicts using the example of a childparent conflict.Methodology. The work uses algebraic methods and methods of discrete mathematics.Results. Within the framework of the mathematical theory of conflicts, a conflict with a discrete mismatch is considered the example of a child-parent model conflict. A general method for constructing a conflict situation diagram and analyzing it has been developed. Possible ways of influencing the conflicting parties on each other in any conflict situation are discussed. When analyzing possible scenarios for the development of a conflict situation, the possible types of impacts of the conflicting parties on each other are considered.Conclusions. Based on the developed dynamic discrete model, it is shown that the mathematical description of conflicts is reduced to the problem of combinatorial optimization. The developed scheme of mathematical description of conflicts can be applied to a wide class of conflict situations in various subject areas.

Abstract (sommario):
PurposeThe purpose of this study is to map the intellectual structure of the field of conflict management and the field of family business to the investigation of conflicts in family firms, with the aim of contributing to the further integration of knowledge between the two fields.Design/methodology/approachFamily conflicts and work–family balance issues also received a lot of attention, yet studies in conflict management still seem to overlook a thorough investigation of conflict in family businesses. Conflict is a major aspect of family businesses, which differs highly from non-family businesses, and offers an important research avenue for conflict management scholars to contribute to the investigation of major characteristics of organisations that constitute a large part of the value created in the world.FindingsThe results of a bibliometric analysis and systematic literature review show that studies concerning conflict in family business aggregate around three clusters: organisational conflicts; firm growth and conflicts; and family control, performance and conflicts. An interpretative framework is also developed to interpret how antecedents, conflicts and growth dynamics in family business influence performances. Findings show how family conflicts and work–family balance issues received a lot of attention, yet studies in conflict management still seem to miss a thorough investigation of conflict in family businesses.Originality/valueThis paper contributes to the field of conflict management and family business by providing a systematic analysis of knowledge and family firms. This paper can be a starting point for researchers interested in understanding how conflicts affect family businesses.

Abstract (sommario):
Conflict is motivated by differences in the characteristics of individuals brought in an interaction. These differences are related to the physical characteristics including, intelligence, knowledge, customs, beliefs, and so forth. With individual characteristics in social interaction, conflict is a normal situation in each community. None of the people who have never experienced any conflicts between members or with other community groups, the conflict will only disappear with the loss of the community itself. Results of a conflict are: 1) Increase the solidarity among members of the group (in-group) which is in conflict with the group elsewhere.2) Rift between the warring factions. 3) Personality changes in individuals, 4) Property damage and loss of human lives. 5) The dominance of conquest even one of the parties involved in the conflict.   Attempts to defuse conflicts in achieving stability is called “accommodation”.The parties in conflict with each other adjust to the situation by working together. Forms of accommodation are: 1) truce, 2) Abitration, 3) Mediation, 4) Conciliation, 5). Stalemate, and 6) Adjudication. Young people or students have great potential in solving the nation’s problems, particularly issues related to the anticipation of social conflict, although there is no doubt that the problem of the young generation too much. The important thing is to be able to change his awareness of the construction of the object becomes the subject of development and able to anticipate these issues.

Abstract (sommario):
This research discusses the potential for political conflict in the 2024 presidential election from the perspective of conflict theory. The conflict perspective used is according to the views of Karl Marx and Ralf Dahrendorf. The approach used in this research is qualitative research with a literature study method which discusses potential conflicts that will occur. Conflicts that will occur, quoted from Kompas (Firda Cynthia Anggrainy, 2023). one pair of presidential candidates who they consider to be unconstitutional. The results of this research show that there is potential for political conflict in the 2024 presidential election. There is potential for political conflict in the 2024 presidential election. According to Karl Max, conflict occurs based on the class gap factor. In this political phenomenon, classes are divided into two, the ruling class and the ordinary people. According to Ralf Dahrendorf, conflict occurs based on differences in interests of groups with interests. In the potential political conflict in the 2024 presidential election, it will be very easy for conflicts of interest to arise based on each presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate. Conflict is seen as the result of social inequality and differences in interests between individuals or groups. Such conflicts can play an important role in changing political agendas, resolving social problems, and creating long-term changes in society. However, conflict can also threaten social stability and worsen social integration.

Abstract (sommario):
School is a space of mutual relations and interaction, there is a special risk of conflicts and disputes. Their cause is misunderstandings and disputes among students, their lack of communication skills and subjective attitudes towards each other, misunderstandings between teachers and the administration, conflicts between teachers, etc. Conflicts in themselves are not always negative. But if the conflict deepens, does not end with the pacification of both parties, it can negatively affect the work of the school. The article examines the problem of conflicts in the modern school and ways of solving them, focused primarily on the determinants of interpersonal contacts. The causes of the conflict of interests between subjects in the educational space are considered. The main focus is on identifying the essence of the conflict, determining the main sources of disputes in the school, as well as the phases through which the conflict passes. Specified types of conflicts taking into account different separation criteria. The consequences of conflict situations are presented, while it is noted that a conflict situation does not necessarily lead to the emergence of a dysfunctional conflict. The conditions necessary for the pre-conflict situation to turn into the conflict stage, ways of solving it and recommendations for solving the conflict situation have been identified. The specifics of conflicts in teaching teams are also described and their classification is given. The most common ways of avoiding conflict in the teaching staff are considered - traditional and modern, as well as effective communication techniques for reducing conflict tension. The negative consequences of conflicts for each group of subjects of the educational environment are shown. The article draws attention to the important role of teachers in resolving student disputes using safe and effective ways of reconciliation, rather than escalating conflicts. The need to develop the conflict-related competence of teachers and administration as a condition for preventing conflicts in the teaching staff of an educational institution is emphasized.

Abstract (sommario):
Purpose The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of inter-organizational conflicts on the project added value in the Chinese construction industry, and also to examine the mediating effect of conflicts on project added value and the moderating effect of conflict management strategies. Design/methodology/approach A conceptual model was developed, and a structured questionnaire survey was conducted with 667 professionals. The structural equation modeling technique was used to analyze the data. Findings The results showed that task conflict, relationship conflict and process conflict were influenced by subject characteristics of project participants, bilateral relationship characteristics and project characteristics. Similarly, these three types of conflicts interact with each other. Meanwhile, these three types of conflicts influence the added value in construction projects, which are moderated by conflict management strategies. Under a collaborating strategy, task conflict and process conflict were positively associated with project added value, and relationship conflict was negatively associated with project added value. Under a competing strategy, task conflict, process conflict and relationship conflict were negatively associated with added value in construction projects. Therefore, the constructive and destructive effects of conflicts on project added value under different conflict management strategies are verified in Chinese construction projects. Research limitations/implications The variables may not be exhaustive for construction projects and most of them were applied in construction projects for the first time. As a result, their rationality and effectiveness could be further improved. The results implied that inter-organizational conflicts had a constructive effect on project added value and should attract broad attention for future research. Additionally, different driving factors had different influences on these conflicts, and even the driving factors can be divided into different dimensions. Practical implications This study provides a better understanding of the relationship between inter-organizational conflicts and added value in construction projects, and a reliable reference for the project manager to effectively deal with these conflicts. In addition, this research reveals the effects of conflicts on project added value and the path of conflicts transformation. This provides a useful reference for project managers to take advantage of the positive effect of task conflict and process conflict, and to avoid the negative effect of relationship conflict. Originality/value Very few studies attempted to examine the effects of inter-organizational conflicts on project added value in construction projects. Therefore, this research makes significant theoretical and practical contributions to the existing body of knowledge on the conflict management and project added value. This research provides an empirical evidence to support the viewpoint that different types of conflicts can be mutually transformed. Similarly, this study explains how conflicts present functional and dysfunctional effects in construction projects. Both of them are potential theoretical contributions to the existing body of knowledge.

Abstract (sommario):
To improve college students’ skills in resolving workplace conflict, the authors studied the types of workplace conflicts that students encounter with peers or supervisors in part-time or seasonal work and with whom they discuss these conflicts. The authors found that most students report conflicts that are process or relational in nature, with few students reporting task-oriented conflict. Nearly all students report discussing the conflict with third parties—individuals outside the organization and/or the conflict—and nearly all students find these discussions helpful in resolving or working through the conflict. Based on their literature review and research, the authors developed scenarios to help students “read” and resolve workplace conflicts. The scenarios use conversations with people outside the conflict—third-party discussions—to help students respond appropriately to the conflict.

Abstract (sommario):
In the article, the essence and meaning of the conflict is revealed. It was established that conflict occupies a special place in the activities of enterprises, and the leader plays an important role in resolving conflict situations. The leader's influence on the resolution of these situations depends on how effectively he knows how to manage the conflict. The mechanism of the occurrence of causes of any type and level of conflict is presented, based on which it is advisable for the leader to develop and implement effective methods of conflict management. The more effectively the leader will manage the conflict, the more stable the enterprise's activity will be. It was singled out that the leader has a fundamental advantage in resolving conflict situations, namely: the right to determine goals, methods of their achievement, ensure their implementation and analyse the results. Six stages of resolving conflict situations are characterized, depending on their intensity and duration: pre-conflict period, incident, escalation, explosion, decline, post-conflict stage. It has been established that an important aspect of a leader's activity is the timely formation of a conflict management algorithm. The conflict management algorithm has been developed, which involves diagnosing the socio-psychological climate in the team, the causes of conflict, as well as existing conflicts and ways to resolve them. It has been studied that the process of conflict management is a subsystem of enterprise management and is implemented by planning, motivating, controlling, and regulating conflicts to reduce the number of negative consequences of conflicts. The conflict management mechanism has been developed in the enterprise. Various methods of conflict management that leaders use in their activities are described. The important component in conflict management is the leader's timely and reliable identification of problems arising in conflict situations. The main ways of conflict management through problem solving are proposed. To prevent the emergence of conflict situations in the personnel of the enterprise, it is advisable to develop timely and implement ways to prevent the occurrence of conflicts in enterprises. The main ways of preventing the occurrence of conflicts, which should be used by the leader in his activities, are given. Abstract (sommario):
Main points of conflict theory are summarized. Multiple dimensions of social resources each generate potential conflicts between haves and have-nots. Potential interests become effective to the degree that they are mobilized, relative to the mobilization of opposing interests; such mobilization depends upon both (1) conditions of ritual solidarity within a conflict group and (2) material resources for organizing. Each round of overt conflict sets the stage for the next round, both materially and by swaying the balance of perceived responsibility for past atrocities. Any particular conflict eventually deescalates, either because material resources for mobilization are used up or by the ritual disassembling of conflict groups. Mild conflicts continue longer than intense conflicts. Deescalation of mild conflicts typically occurs through bureaucratic institutionalization of concessions to interest groups; bureaucratic niches in turn become resource bases for future conflicts. These principles are applied to analyze the patterns of conflict in the United States in the late twentieth century and to predict future patterns of conflict.

Abstract.STRATEGIES FOR CONFLICT RESOLUTION IN COUPLES: EVERYDAY NEGOTIATINGConflicts are normal situations in family life wich offer opportunities for personal growth and strengthening family relationships when constructive strategies are provided like negotiation, commitments and agreements. The frequent use of destructive strategies in everyday conflicts is associated with a growing unease in the family and a discontinuity in the family project. Couples show difficulties to implement courses of action culminating in agreements and commitments. This is a logical issue considering that the conflicts and the resolution strategies are complex situations. This work provides an analysis of daily conflict in couples contemplating conflict variables that mediate the use of resolution strategies and transactional processes that characterize these episodes. Abstract (sommario):
The COVID-19 pandemic has intensified social conflicts in Korean society. Scholars saw that the increase in social conflict could be a hindrance to national economic growth and a barrier to democracy. However, in previous studies, there is a limitation in that various aspects of social conflict in modern society have not been contained by connecting citizens' satisfaction with the level of democracy and economic situation. Therefore, in this study, the effect of social conflict-related perceptions on democratic level satisfaction was examined, focusing on the effect of economic situation satisfaction. The study conducted statistical analysis using multiple regression analysis using data from the 2021 Social Integration Survey by the Korea Institute of Public Administration. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that social conflict-related perceptions had a significant effect on democratic level satisfaction, but their influence differed depending on the pattern of conflict. From this, it has the following research and policy implications. First, the conflict of material needs is found to be caused by conflicts involving economic interests, requiring fairness-oriented policies such as guaranteeing equality of opportunity. Second, the value conflict resulted from cultural differences, and policies to prevent cultural polarization should be considered in that if cultural and value conflicts are alleviated, democratic satisfaction can also be increased. Third, in the case of ideological conflict, ideological conflict can be seen as an opportunity to lead to participatory democracy in that stakeholders of ideological conflict show efforts to resolve the conflict. However, ideological conflicts appear to have more political factors than economic interests than other conflicts, so it is necessary for the government to play the role of coordinating and resolving ideological conflicts. Fourth, the government's efforts to resolve conflicts can lead to a positive evaluation of democracy. In order to solve the problem of social conflict in capitalist society, it should act as an active conflict resolution role of the government. Overall, the influence of social conflict on democratic satisfaction was revealed differently depending on the type and characteristics of the conflict. In addition, along with the economic situation satisfaction variable, it has a statistically greater influence. This proves that social conflict is strongly related to economic interests rather than simply independently caused. Therefore, rather than resolving each social conflict individually, efforts should be made to approach it from a comprehensive perspective according to the characteristics of each conflict.

Abstract (sommario):
The present paper focuses on age and gender differences in parent - adolescent conflict styles (compromise and aggressive) and conflict outcomes (frustration, escalation and intimacy). Data were gathered by the Slovenian version of the ?When we disagree? scale, which was completed by 514 adolescents (54% female; 14 - 19 years old, split into two age groups). Results revealed significant differences between the adolescents? perceptions of their own conflict style, and their mother/father conflict styles. Mothers were more often perceived to have either more aggressive or more compromising conflict styles in comparison to adolescents? own stiles or fathers? styles. Analyzing adolescents? age differences, middle aged adolescents reported higher level of mother?s aggressiveness, higher levels of frustration and escalation in conflicts with mothers, as well as higher frustration in conflicts with fathers in comparison to their younger peers. Gender differences in style and outcome of conflicts revealed a more complex pattern: girls exhibited more compromising conflict style with mother and more aggressive conflict style with fathers than boys; there were no gender differences in parent - adolescent conflict outcomes. The established differences could inform policies, and help tailoring conflict resolution programs for this specific age group.

Abstract (sommario):
The high number of traffic accidents is a problem for the government in realizing traffic security, safety, and smoothness. Intersections are the most common point of conflict, especially unsignalized intersections. The research location of the intersection of Jl. Budi Utomo - Jl. 28 October-Jl. Parit Nenas, Siantan Hulu Village, North Pontianak District, and Pontianak City intersect environmental-type commercial roads with many vehicles and education centers. The research objectives are to identify traffic conflicts, analyze the level of traffic conflicts, and provide alternatives to overcome problems.Traffic Conflict Technique is an observation method to analyze traffic conflict that illustrates the seriousness of the conflict. The research data used CCTV recording for two days, Saturday and Tuesday. The Traffic Conflict Technique method uses the Time to Accident and Conflicting Speed values to determine the seriousness of the conflict.Based on the analysis of the Traffic Conflict Technique method, the research location with 34 vehicle conflicts has a severe level of conflict that could potentially cause accident risk. The level of serious conflict is 27 vehicle conflicts, with a percentage of 79.41%. Vehicle speed in the class 15 km / h - 19 km / h is the most severe conflict speed, with 12 vehicle conflicts and a percentage of 44.44%. Accelerating vehicle behavior is the most severe conflict, with 25 vehicle conflicts and a percentage of 83.33% of accidents that have the potential to occur. Alternatives to reduce the causes of accidents are adding traffic signaling devices and traffic signs to improve safety.

Abstract (sommario):
In the election, the conflict will always exist. Whether it is a conflict between the election participants, between the participants and the election organizers or among the election organizers itself. The purpose of this research is to analyze the contribution of the Election Conflict Regulation on handling the election conflict in Sijunjung Regency and to analyze the response of the conflicting parties to the usage of the Election Conflict Regulation in Sijunjung District. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study plan. To see this problem, the researcher used Ralf Dahrendorf's Conflict Theory of Regulation which explains that conflict regulation can affect the high and low escalation of conflicts that occurred. The results showed that in the resolution of conflicts that had occurred both in the 2015 Regional Heads Election conflict or the conflict during the preparation of the 2019 General Election, researcher found that the General Election Conflict Regulation played a role / contributed in resolving the conflicts, where the conflicts could be controlled and resolved properly without any increase in violence. This was proven by the conflicting parties that accepted the decision given by the authorities in its settlement plus there were no other conflicting actors involved in the conflict.

Abstract (sommario):
The following paper attempts to define the similarity of the conflicts on the example of the selected class of conflict situations, described by the characteristic function. The repository of the conflict patterns, understood as the set of conflicts with stable and easy to obtain solutions has been defined here. The task of the choice of the best conflict solution has been directed to the term of the pattern recognition. The solution method means the take out of the set of the conflict patterns, the conflict which is the most similar to the solved conflict and the use of its solution to deal with the initial conflicts.

Abstract (sommario):
Objective: This research aims to understand the causes of customary land tenure conflicts based on the implementation of the applicable agrarian reform legal system, identify the root of the problem, and find solutions. Theoretical Framework: In addressing customary land conflicts, we employ Paul Wehr's guidelines, as endorsed by USAID, along with the insights provided by Qin et al. (2023), including Factors of History Conflict, Conflict context, Conflict parties, Issues, Dynamics, Alternative route to solution, Conflict regulation Potential, and Map Use. The use of maps is considered the crucial first step in conflict intervention. Methods: This research method uses a qualitative approach supported by in-depth interviews with 27 informants. Key informants are selected using a purposive sampling technique. We conducted a field observation study to re-check the correct data by reducing bias during data collection and analysis. The research question is why land conflicts occur in the Besipae customary forest area, and what is the solution to the problem. Results and Conclusions: Thematic analysis of in-depth interviews yielded eight themes, including land conflict as a fundamental issue, history of conflict, causes of land conflict, land acquisition, conflict cases, the impact of land conflict, agrarian reform, and conflict solutions. Analysis of observational studies revealed three key factors: communication, dissemination, and treatment of the psychiatric impact of conflict. Communication and dissemination factors play a key role in land conflicts because conflicts occur due to most people not knowing that their land will be used for road construction, oil palm plantations, dams, railway lines, tourism areas, and others. Land acquisition should be an open process and widely announced. The government and large companies can negotiate to buy community land at market prices, and the government finds new locations for evicted communities. Given that the 2018 presidential regulations have not been well disseminated, several agencies, institutions, and community groups lack understanding of the regulations' contents. Dissemination factors play an important role in avoiding land conflicts. Meanwhile, treatment of the psychiatric impact of the conflict was added to Wehr's guidelines, given that resolving conflict is not enough just by peace, but the impact it causes is very hard on the psychology, trauma, and stress in children. Research Implications: This study presents themes that district, provincial, and national governments can utilize. The outcomes of this strategy can assist policymakers in promoting the successful resolution of land conflicts in the Besipae forest area. Originality/Value: This research begins by utilizing the map of customary land conflicts, studying conflict factors based on history, observing conflict context, conflict parties, issues, conflict dynamics, alternative routes to solution, and conflict regulation potential. Utilizing the map is considered a crucial first step in effective conflict intervention, aiming to align the perceptions of all parties involved. The findings in the study area that include communication, dissemination, and treatment of the psychiatric impact of conflict need to be added to Paul Wehl's land conflict resolution guidelines, which can be applied to developing countries.

Abstract (sommario):
This article is devoted to the study and consideration of the provisions on the philosophical foundations of social conflict, the nature of social conflict, as well as the problems and prospects of their resolution in the modern world. The text notes that the lack of theoretical understanding of the problem of social conflicts makes it difficult to logically solve practical problems aimed at preventing conflict situations in the modern community. The article examines the difficulties encountered in the localization and resolution of conflicts, thoroughly analyzes the entire course of the conflict development with the subsequent establishment of its possible causes and consequences. Also, this article discusses the causes of social conflicts in modern society, as well as the features of their occurrence. The works on the development of problems of methodology and general theory of conflict occurring in society are noted. In our country, there is a tradition of studying social conflicts through the objective contradiction of the interests of the majority of social groups, which dictate to the parties the logic, duration, degree of tension of the struggle for the satisfaction of urgent needs. However, it is not always necessary to equate objective contradictions of social groups with conflicts. The conflict is somehow connected with people's subjective awareness of the inconsistency of their interests as members of certain social groups. Aggravated contradictions generate open or closed conflicts only when they are deeply experienced by people, are realized as incompatibility of interests and goals. Taking into account the fact that philosophers in the Ancient World began to be interested in the nature of conflicts, the representatives of three modern socio-philosophical concepts of conflict made the greatest systematic contribution to its understanding: the concepts of positive-functional conflict proposed by L.Kozerom: R. Darrendorff's conflict models of society and K. Boulding's general theory of conflict.

Abstract (sommario):
It is difficult to overestimate the significance of conflict in business and personal contacts in all spheres of human existence. The ability to communicate without conflicts is quite highly regarded, and conflicting people always and everywhere cause negative impressions. As Descartes taught, before you talk about anything, you need to agree on terms. If we talk about interpersonal conflicts, it should be noted that conflicts grow out of contradictions and opposites, but they cannot be equated. The conflict situation is a pre-conflict phase. Conflicts are more terrible and more harmful than contradictions and conflict situations, as there is already a mutual infringement of the dignity of the parties to a conflict. Conflicts are always problems, tragedies, tears; it is an “evil foreign body” that interferes with healthy communication. That’s why conflicts must be fought, that is why conflicts must be prevented. Conflicts, like diseases, are easier to prevent than to cure and resolve later. Given the foregoing, the problem of finding the most effective technologies for preventing interpersonal conflicts, conflict situations, and contradictions, as they say, means a lot, especially as it concerns conflicts in business and social organizations.

Abstract (sommario):
At present, model-driven engineering plays an essential role in software development. Model versioning systems perform the task of conflict detection when merging parallel-developed model versions. However, conflict detection is typically conducted at the primitive operation level in operation-based systems. This situation implies that the overall intention of model developers may be disregarded, which results in unsatisfactory performance. In this study, we present an approach to conflict detection at the composite level in model versioning systems for Unified Modeling Language. This approach has two main stages. During the preprocessing stage, redundant operations are removed from the originally recorded operation lists to increase efficiency. During the conflict detection stage, a fragmentation procedure is conducted with only potentially conflicted operations allocated into the same fragment. Then, a pattern-matching strategy is applied to help indicate conflicts.

Abstract (sommario):
Purpose This paper aims to identify and explore the overall frequency and characteristics of policy conflicts, with a focus upon those factors affecting conflict resolutions in South Korea. Design/methodology/approach The study uses data from cases of conflict from the Korean Public Policy Conflict Database (KPPCDB) (1948-2014). For the analysis of data, chi-squared test and multinomial logistic regression are used. Findings The findings show a total of 2,030 policy conflicts in 1948-2014, most of which were conflicts of interest (47.9 per cent). More than 70 per cent (71.2 per cent) were policy conflicts between the government and the private sector; the field with the most policy conflicts was regional development (21.0 per cent), and 84.1 per cent of all policy conflicts were resolved. The factors that affected conflict resolution by interest were conflicts between the government and private sector, authoritarian government, national regions and capital areas. Practical implications This paper suggests reforming the current procedures of conflict management, adopting alternative dispute resolutions, and developing a social-consensus-building process for efficiently resolving conflicts. Originality/value This study built a database (KPPCDB) examining 66 years of conflict cases that took place between 1948, the year the Korean Government was established, and 2014. This database covers all cases of policy conflicts that occurred in Korea and provides a comprehensive understanding of the phenomena of policy conflicts and conflict resolution.
