Abstract (sommario):
<p>Quality of Service (QoS) is the collective effect of service performances, which determine the degree of satisfaction of a user of the service. In addition, QoS defined as the ability of a network to provide good service. QoS aims to provide different quality of services for various needs in the IP network. QoS parameters that can be used to analyze the data communication services are jitter, packet loss, throughput, and delay. The quality of QoS parameters in the network is affected by congestion. Congestion occurs because there is an excessive queue in the network. Congestion can be prevented by implementing flow control on network. Flow control is a method to control the data packet flow in a network. By controlling of the data packet flow, it can improve of QoS. This study intends to find out value of QoS on the internet network at Faculty Engineering, State University of Semarang by measuring network performance using QoS parameters. Then, in this research will be implemented the token bucket method as a flow control mechanism at the network to improve the QoS. After research and data analysis, internet network at Faculty Engineering State University of Semarang has QoS value was 3,5 with 87,5 % of percentage and classified in satisfying of category. When measuring the network performance, there are decreases of performance at access point that having data rates 150 Mbps with many users connected. It has 9,0 ms of delay value, 0.046 ms of jitter, 16,6% of packet loss and, 1293407 bps of throughput. After token bucket was applied as flow control mechanism that be simulated on Graphical Network Simulator 3, the internet network has QoS values 3,75 with 93,75 % of percentage and classified as “satisfying” category. Furthermore, the percentage of the throughput value obtained on network by implementing flow control is 62%, while on the existing network is 41%.</p>

Abstract (sommario):
Recent advances in information communication technology and software have enabled mobile terminals to employ various capabilities as a smartphone. They adopt multiple interfaces for wireless communication and run as a portable computer. Mobile services are also transferred from voice to data. Mobile terminals can access Internet for data services anytime anywhere. By using location-based information, improved mobile services are enabled in heterogeneous networks. In the mobile service environment, it is required that mobile terminals should efficiently use wireless network resources. In addition, because video stream becomes a major service among the data services of mobile terminals in heterogeneous networks, the necessity of the efficient network access control for heterogeneous wireless networks is raised as an important topic. That is, quality of services of the location-based video stream is determined by the network access control. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel network access control in the heterogeneous wireless networks. The proposed method estimates the network status with Naïve Bayesian Classifier and performs network access control according to the estimated network status. Thus, it improves data transmission efficiency to satisfy the quality of services. The efficiency of the proposed method is validated through the extensive computer simulation.

Abstract (sommario):
The problem of ensuring the minimum delivery time of information with prevention of collisions is a pressing problem in ACS TP, since collisions often occur during transmission or the delay time of information is not optimal. This problem is solved by the use of wireless computer networks and methods of information transmission with collision prevention, which affect the delay time of information transmission. The developed model of the access control process in wireless computer networks solves the problem of effective information transfer with collision prevention. The purpose of using this model is to reduce the delay in information transmission. ACS TP often needs modernization as technical innovations are becoming available. At the same time, the quality of production should not fluctuate. The most important element of modernization is the use of wireless technologies that save money and time, compared to the deployment of wired networks. The aim of the work is to develop the model of control access process in a wireless computer network with collision prevention. The process of forming delay slots for information transfer has been researched. The object of the study is a wireless computer network in the ACS TP. The subject of the study is a model of control access process in a wireless computer network with collision prevention. The research objectives are to create requirements for the model, to propose a structure, to create a model, to conduct tests and evaluate the obtained results. The model of access control process in a wireless computer network designed to transmit information with prevention of collisions in a wireless computer network has been developed.

Abstract (sommario):
This paper investigates the capabilities for open access to quality of service management in convergent networks. Based on the analysis of requirements for policy and charging control in Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), functions for quality of service (QoS) management and charging that are available for third party applications are identified. The functionality of Open Service Access (OSA) and Parlay X interfaces is evaluated for support of dynamic QoS control, while an approach to development of OSA compliant application programming interfaces for QoS management in IMS networks is presented. The interface’s methods are mapped onto the messages of network control protocols such as Diameter and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP). Finally, aspects of interface implementation are discussed including behavior equivalence of state machines.

Abstract (sommario):
We consider mobile computer networks whose stationary movements are forced to change at some points in time by external control actions or random disturbances. External influence can be aimed at the transition of the network to another stationary movement, but during the transition period there is a danger of decreasing the reliability of the network, the quality of its functioning, and even the threat of operability. One of the reasons for this is the rapid change in the topological (graph) characteristics of the network — the loss of connectivity of the dynamic graph of the network, the change in the set of available data transmission routes between nodes. The paper describes the results of statistical modeling of the characteristics of dynamic graphs for perturbed motion, and also presents algorithms for managing dynamic graphs during the transition process, which reduce the negative effects on the network from external influences. Using methods of predictive modeling, the quality of control algorithms is evaluated.

Abstract (sommario):
We study an original scheme based on distributed feedforward neural networks, aimed at modelling several queueing systems in cascade fed with bursty traffic. For each queueing system, a neural network is trained to anticipate the average number of waiting packets, the packet loss rate and the coefficient of variation of the packet inter-departure time, given the mean rate, the peak rate and the coefficient of variation of the packet inter-arrival time. The latter serves for the calculation of the coefficient of variation of the cell inter-arrival time of the aggregated traffic which is fed as input to the next neural network along the path. The potential of this method is successfully illustrated on several single server FIFO (First In, First Out) queues and on small queueing networks made up from a combination of queues in tandem and in parallel fed by a superposition of ideal sources. Our long-term goal is the design of preventive control strategy in a multiservice communication network.

Abstract (sommario):
The advancements in network technologies and the evolution of the Internet of Things (IoT) have made supporting industrial control systems over probabilistic data networks promising. However, control systems’ communication over the traditional data networks is faced with problems of instability in feedback control and poor quality of performance due to time-varying data propagation delay. This paper presents two approaches that can enable real-time industrial control over non-deterministic computer networks allowing control system designers to take advantage of the existing communication infrastructures. The first approach is based on system-level interaction over two wires network called the collaboration network. The second approach is based on the implementation of the virtual local area network (VLAN). This method allows real-time control of industrial equipment or systems over IP-based networks while other computers are connected. Nodes providing real-time control services have the same PortID on the VLAN switch. This approach minimizes data traffic and reduces time-varying delay in system control over IP networks. The first approach was modeled and simulated using Proteus ISIS software. Two PIC16F877A microcontrollers were used to represent two nodes. CISCO packet tracer was used in the second approach to model and simulate IP-based control system communications over the traditional data network. Results indicate that the use of a two-wire collaborative network approach to a real-time control system is effective but requires an additional network alongside the main data traffic channel. VLAN, therefore, presents a more flexible approach that relies on the same infrastructures.

Abstract (sommario):
In this paper, we discuss the critical characteristics of user experience in sixth generation (6G) cellular networks. We first describe cellular networks’ evolution through 5G and then discuss the enabling technologies and projected services in 6G networks. We note that these networks are markedly centered around expanded intelligence, end-to-end resource and topology synchronization, and the intrinsic support to low-latency, high-bandwidth communication. These capabilities make context-rich, cyberphysical user experiences viable. It thereby becomes necessary to define and identify the role of quality of experience in 6G networks, especially when it comes to network management. We elaborate on these expected challenges and allude to viable opportunities in emerging technologies.

Abstract (sommario):
Effective congestion control is an issue strongly impacting basic features demanded from modern network environment as reliability, high and stable throughput, and low delays. These characteristics define the quality of communication channels. Optimizing network nodes configuration for only one of mentioned features, can exacerbate other parameters. This paper focuses on avoiding and alleviating network congestions using multi-objective optimization for gain setting of used controllers. Unlike in other presented approaches, in this case the non-stationary, discrete, dynamical model is discussed. The significant advantage of this approach is in the better reflection of the real environment conditions, where the transmission delay is floating. As the further development of the control strategy, the controller with the memory of previous steps have been deployed. Such control strategy mitigates the unfavorable impact of extended delays. Both proposed control strategies tune the presented model of communication channel to alleviate the results of sudden, unexpected network state changes. It is obtained by maximization of available bandwidth usage combined with minimization of buffer utilization. This supports avoiding undesirable congestion effects like packet dropping, retransmissions, high delay, and low network throughput.

Abstract (sommario):
The high availability of computer networks is a prerequisite in large companies and service providers. Thus, computer network administrators are called upon to face the various growing challenges related to unscheduled downtime of services; lack of expertise; lack of tools; the complexity of technologies; market consolidation and competition to provide better quality services. It should be remembered that the organization of the networks of telecommunication aims at giving control of the phenomena which occur there, during the treatment of the communications, and more generally of the services which they offer. These phenomena are governed by the randomness of the appearance of the requests, and are studied independently of the choices of technology implemented. They are amenable to the formalism of the calculation of probabilities, and give birth to the notion of traffic, which will play a central role in their apprehension, given that they condition for a large part the effective structure of modern networks. This research specifically examines the problems of optimization of signal performance in traffic management of local area networks of companies in the Democratic Republic of Congo, by presenting the different elements of network traffic theory and quality. Thus demonstrating their impact on the architectures of networks and computer systems, and at the same time introducing the major problems faced by IT network administrators on a daily basis; The main objective of this research is to evaluate the development performance of computer and telecommunications networks according to their applications in the areas of network design, equipment dimensioning, and characterization and quality measurement. Abstract (sommario):
Due to the rapid growth of mobile data traffic, more and more basestations and access points (APs) have been densely deployed to provide users with ubiquitous network access, which make current wireless network a complex heterogeneous network (HetNet). However, traditional wireless networks are designed with network-centric approaches where different networks have different quality of service (QoS) strategies and cannot easily cooperate with each other to serve network users. Massive network infrastructures could not assure users perceived network and service quality, which is an indisputable fact. To address this issue, we design a new framework for heterogeneous wireless networks with the principle of user-centricity, refactoring the network from users’ perspective to suffice their requirements and preferences. Different from network-centric approaches, the proposed framework takes advantage of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and virtualization technology, which will bring better perceived services quality for wireless network users. In the proposed user-centric framework, control plane and data plane are decoupled to manage the HetNets in a flexible and coadjutant way, and resource virtualization technology is introduced to abstract physical resources of HetNets into unified virtualized resources. Hence, ubiquitous and undifferentiated network connectivity and QoE (quality of experience) driven fine-grained resource management could be achieved for wireless network users.

Abstract (sommario):
We modify neural networks models of the Hopfield type so that they can recognize the degree of novelty of the input stimuli on a local level. The networks control themselves the quality of recognition and can also recognize locally the bits of information in the input patterns which do not agree with known patterns, i.e. stored memories. This task is achieved by introducing local variations of the noise level β in the network. Noise level in a given location depends on the flip frequency of the neurons close to that location.

Abstract (sommario):
The sharply increasing amount of data, which are transferred by the satellite network, requires the satellite network to provide quality-of-service (QoS). However, the upsurge in the data flow leads to the network congestion, impeding its ability to offer QoS. Congestion control mechanisms, deployed in the ground networks, have been thoroughly studied. But those deployed in the satellite networks have not been studied yet. As satellite networks are now important supplements to the ground backbone networks, this paper carefully analyzes the current challenges of developing the QoS-oriented congestion control mechanism for satellite networks. On this basis, a consequent mechanism QMCC (QoS-oriented mechanism of congestion control for satellite networks) is described in detail. Under that QMCC, the source nodes utilize an equation to compute the sending rate for each data flow; meanwhile, the intermediate nodes keep detecting real-time package-loss rates for timely adjustments. Simulation results indicate QMCC can provide superior congestion control performance, and raise network throughputs without reducing the QoS effects.

Abstract (sommario):
In this paper, we construct a new dynamic model for the Token Bucket (TB) algorithm used in computer networks and use systems approach for its analysis. This model is then augmented by adding a dynamic model for a multiplexor at an access node where the TB exercises a policing function. In the model, traffic policing, multiplexing and network utilization are formally defined. Based on the model, we study such issues as (quality of service) QoS, traffic sizing and network dimensioning. Also we propose an algorithm using feedback control to improve QoS and network utilization. Applying MPEG video traces as the input traffic to the model, we verify the usefulness and effectiveness of our model.

Abstract (sommario):
The development of computer vision technology is rapid, which supports the automatic quality control of precision components efficiently and reliably. This paper focuses on the application of computer vision technology in manufacturing quality control. A new deep learning algorithm is presented, Multi-angle projective Generative Adversarial Networks (MapGANs), to automatically generate 3D visualization models of products and components. The generated 3D visualization models can intuitively and accurately display the product parameters and indicators. Based on these indicators, our model can accurately determine whether the product meets the standard. The working principle of the MapGANs algorithm is to automatically infer the basic three-dimensional shape distribution through the product’s projection module, while using multiple angles and multiple views to improve the fineness and accuracy of the three-dimensional visualization model. The experimental results prove that MapGANs can effectively reconstruct two-dimensional images into three-dimensional visualization models, and meanwhile accurately predict whether the quality of the product meets the standard.

Abstract (sommario):
With the technology improvement of computer communication and multimedia coding, real time communication such as audio and video is introduced to networks and become a dominant way of communication. In the control of network, the optimization problem of the network controller based on network Quality of service (QoS) is a very important problem in the research of network control. Considering the influence of network quality—of service (QoS) on the control performance,a system model combining the network parameters and the control parameters is established for networked control systems (NCSs). Based on this, the condition dependent on the network parameters and control parameters is presented for the existence of guaranteed cost controllers.LMI).Within the scope of QoS perturbation, the designed controller can not only make the system as hypnotically stable but also guarantee that the system performance index is not greater than the upper bound.

Abstract (sommario):
With the mobility and ease of connection, wireless sensor networks have played a significant role in communication over the last few years, making them a significant data carrier across networks. Additional security, lower latency, and dependable standards and communication capability are required for future-generation systems such as millimeter-wave LANs, broadband wireless access schemes, and 5G/6G networks, among other things. Effectual congestion control is regarded as of the essential aspects of 5G/6G technology. It permits operators to run many network illustrations on a single organization while maintaining higher service quality. A sophisticated decision-making system for arriving network traffic is necessary to confirm load balancing, limit network slice letdown, and supply alternative slices in slice letdown or congestion. Because of the massive amount of data being generated, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) play a vital role in reconfiguring and improving a 5G/6G wireless network. In this research work, a hybrid deep learning method is being applied to forecast optimal congestion improvement in the wireless sensors of 5G/6G IoT networks. This proposed model is applied to a training dataset to govern the congestion in a 5G/6G network. The proposed approach provided promising results, with 0.933 accuracy, and 0.067 miss rate.

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract Today many hybrid (wired & wireless) industrial communication networks with a huge variety of heterogeneous technologies and protocols are present in the manufacturing and automation domain. The increasing requirements regarding e. g., latency, reliability, or determinism create the need for a holistic network management concept in order to assure a network-wide Quality-of-Service (QoS) resource provisioning and the assurance of the admissioned resources. Consequently, a monitoring of the whole network is required to feed the network management system with the needed information about the underlying network processes. Various technical approaches using different methods of extracting the information from network traffic are available for the purpose of QoS parameter observance and measurement at the moment. Therefore, this paper provides a state of the art research about network management and QoS provisioning respectively QoS assurance concepts. In addition, the passive network monitoring approach using the flow export technique based on the Internet Protocol Flow Information Export (IPFIX) is investigated for a utilisation in the nowadays industry domain based on a conceptual case study with a wireless protocol. As a conclusion, an evaluation is performed in order to clarify the limits and the overall usability of IPFIX for the monitoring of industrial networks in order to support future network management systems.

Abstract (sommario):
This paper presents distributed power quality conditioning system to compensate current and voltage distortions in three-phase four-wire networks caused by unbalanced non-linear single-phase loads. The proposed conditioning system consists of several hybrid filter units installed in various nodes for compensation of excessive neutral currents and voltage distortions in a selected area of the distribution network. The system is open and it can be easily modified by installation of new filter units. A novel hybrid filter design procedure based on filter frequency characteristics optimization in the parameters of passive and active parts is presented. A digital system of control signal computation for active filters based on the use of modern methods of spectral analysis is considered. The proposed digital control system enables selective compensation of fundamental and harmonic components. The mathematical model of the proposed power quality conditioning system is developed in the MatLab software. The simulated results show that the presented conditioning system reduces the level of neutral conductor currents and the voltage unbalance as well ensures harmonic compensation in three-phase four-wire networks.

In this paper, we present a novel DC-centric architecture of telecommunication networks for next generation Internet. Data flow become the major traffic in existing telecommunication networks. Traditional computer networks and telecom networks meet many challenges in high-quality service, innovation, evolution, and management. Based on analysis existing telecom networks’ challenges, a DC-centric telecom network architecture with splitting the data plane from the control plane is proposed. The DC-centric telecom network is a widely-distributed data center network (DCN), which is composed of thousands of public or private DCs. Each DC not only plays the role of storage and computing, but also is a network node of data aggregation, switching, and routing. We also design an optical switching, which is evaluated by experiment.

Abstract (sommario):
This research addressed the issue of improving the quality of service for the control system of mobile radio networks. The analysis of the forecasting sphere concerning the methods of service quality of mobile radio networks for special purposes, in particular, forecasting the time of congestion of data transmission routes is carried out. It is found that these methods are used in wired and computer networks operating at the network and data link levels. The basic parameters of the protocols of the channel and network layers of mobile radio networks are highlighted. Forecasting methods are analyzed: temporal extrapolation, causality, expert, and the main disadvantages are indicated. A model of a control system for mobile radio networks with a forecasting subsystem is shown. The features of mobile radio networks, which form the requirements for routing methods, are described. A lot of requirements have been put forward for the model of a control system for mobile radio networks. The structure of a model of a control system for mobile radio networks with an improved forecasting subsystem is proposed. On the basis of genetic algorithms, the tasks that arise in the process of identification, training and forecasting in the forecasting subsystem are solved. The operation of the processes consists in building a base of rules aimed at identifying significant dependencies in a time series based on the use of a genetic algorithm. It is based on the use of evolutionary principles to find the optimal solution. Application of the proposed model will allow real-time identification and will significantly improve the quality of service for mobile radio networks. It will increase the speed and volume of data processed during training, improve the quality and reliability of predicting changes in data transmission routes

Abstract (sommario):
Time-sensitive network (TSN), as one of the latest real-time Ethernet techniques, has achieved great success in several scenarios that require strict communication latency and packet loss. This paper reviews the state-of-the-art in time-sensitive networks and investigates the drawbacks of current vehicle networks. By introducing TSN into the TCMS backbone network, next-generation smart vehicles can achieve high-quality data transmissions. This paper also analyzes the priority of the vehicle data and calculates the time-aware shaper slot to ensure that the control data is not affected by the multimedia data. Using the proposed structure, experimental results suggest that the network efficiency can be improved in the rail transit systems.

Abstract (sommario):
The article formulates the main tasks of management of information networks and telecommunications services in terms of ensuring their reliable operation. The telecommunication network is considered as a complex system consisting of many components, each of which has its own characteristics of operation during operation. The main functions of the telecommunication network control system are determined: fault detection and network status diagnostics, network device administration, forecasting and elimination of congestion and other possible deviations in network functioning, ensuring coordinated interaction between different types of control systems for providing telecommunication services with specified quality. Methods of analysis and management of networks are essentially a kind of identification methods, i.e. the current assessment of the parameters and condition of complex technical systems. There is a close relationship between identification and diagnostic tasks. The methods for solving these problems largely depend on the class to which the identification object can be assigned. Computer and telecommunication networks belong to the class of distributed systems with delays in signal and control information. Methods of retrospective identification are used to analyze the state of such systems. The influence of delays of signal and control information on the efficiency of search and determination of places of failures, overloads and emergency modes in communication networks is investigated. The results of computer simulation are given. The approach based on regular control of parameters and condition of network nodes taking into account delays of receipt of information on parameters and a condition of a concrete network node and delays of the control information necessary for adjustment of parameters of a network node as control object has found further development.
