Testo completoThe project encompasses a multidisciplinary approach (Workplace Psychology, Management and Vocational training) of current questions related to research or the identification, evaluation and development of management skills. From two job analyses of the managers using the "Critical Incidents" method (Flanagan, 1954), managers were given tools allowing them to estimate, detect, and develop certain skills among their staff. At the theoretical level, the research aims at modelling management skills and studying the respective role of each of them in their performance. The job analysis allowed identification of six key management skills. From there, an Assessment Center (AC) was created allowing in-house recruitment of junior managers. After to a study of internal validity of the process, the results of the factor analyses show an influence of the effect halo on the oral tests, but of much better results on the In-Basket tests. The general structure of the AC tool appears structured according to the model. A predictive validity study was then conducted from a 360° which brought to light a link between managers performances in the workplace and their evaluation in the AC and revealed distortions of perceptions of the manager’s role between the various actors of the Executive Committee. Our research allows proposes an example of competency-driven tasks, of modelling in the implementation of tools to accompany professional development
Gellrich, Stephan Franz. "Le réseau social comme développeur des compétences managériales : l'exemple des Corps de duellistes en Allemagne". Paris 2, 2004. http://www.theses.fr/2004PA020067.
Testo completoStarting out from the question whether membership in a social network has a positive impact on the development of management competences, this work takes the example of dueling Corps as its subject. Characteristics of such Corps are that over the course of a two-year period young students live together, have in addition to university lectures several weekly events with compulsory attendance, and fence with razor-sharp sabers. With the latter, the duelist runs the danger of receiving facial scars that mark him for the rest of his life. To determine whether networks in general can be viewed as developing soft-skills in individuals, network-typical characteristics, i. E. Values, symbols and rituals, of Corps are studied and evaluated. Using qualitative and quantitative methods of empirical research, one can show that students of this type of fraternity - in comparison to non-members of this network - have a definite soft-skill advantage when beginning their careers, which, however, is neutralized within the first few years of employment. Nevertheless, it can be determined that this competence "head-start" is an advantage for : the career start of the network members, for their colleagues, and for the company that employs these fraternity students. Through this work it becomes clear that networks can fundamentally be viewed as developers of soft-skills. However, a detailed analysis of network-specifics, i. E. Size, rules, transparence and accessibility, number of members, the impact on the individual and its penal code as well as his control mechanisms (" greenhouse method "), must precede any determination of which soft-skills can be tangibly supported by the analyzed network
Chollet, Antoine. "Apprentissage et mobilisation de compétences managériales des joueurs de jeux de rôle en ligne massivement multijoueurs (MMORPG)". Thesis, Montpellier, 2015. http://www.theses.fr/2015MONTD049/document.
Testo completoMedia relate instances where MMORPG players are being recruited to responsibility positions, thanks to their managerial skills, acquired through playing. Do MMORPG players really develop such skills though playing, and if so, under what conditions? To explore these research questions, we're basing our works on the Social Learning Theory as well as the Social Cognitive Theory, both resulting from of Albert Bandura's researches. Literature reviewing as well as an exploratory qualitative study (13 players and older MMORPG players) led us to propose a managerial skill learning structural model of the MMORPG player. Two analyses were realized. The first one, in an exploratory aim, allowing to refine measuring tools, saw 414 questionnaires being validated (on 707 collected). The second one, with a confirmatory aim, allowing to verify hypothesis, saw 2 628 questionnaires being validated (on 3 690 collected). Once we've drawn the MMORPG player's profile, we're showing that there are managerial skill learning phenomena perceived by the players that are developed then mastered in MMORPG, under specific conditions linked to the game's environment, as well as the internal state of the player. The proposed model is thus validated. Conclusions of this research offer possibilities for players as well as organizations in various domains, such as recruitment or training, by benefiting MMORPG's potential. Longitudinal studies would deserve to be done in order to explore the MMORPG's player learning evolution, and confirm our results

Testo completoOur research is aimed at demonstrating that the development of leadership management skills for the nursing team and for the head of units in Lebanese hospitals can improve the creativity and the global performance of the organization and enables strategic differentiation. We start by defining the managerial competencies required for the nursing team and by explaining methods of developing them. We present, in our thesis, the process of implementing socio-economic management tools conducted during our intervention in three Lebanese hospitals. Then, we analyze the results of the intervention-research process and its impacts on the managerial competencies development on the economic and social performance of the three hospitals

Testo completoThe beginning of the 21st century has experienced a revolution due to digital innovations. This revolution has provoked technological, situational and sociocultural changes creating our digital civilization at the same time. This doctoral thesis focuses on the new emerging skills of managers in the context of digital civilization. The purpose of my research was to complement the current “hard and soft” skills with skills of a new nature. I have designated them as: “adaptive skills”. Thanks to these, companies are to react better to economic, technological, sustainable, sociological, and political changes in their environment. This qualitative research aimed to help the transformation of organizations by disproving preconceived ideas. It consists of two parts. Firstly, I came to a hypothesis from an exploration of debates with an expert group and my own experience. Secondly, I checked the robustness of that hypothesis by involving stakeholders like digital innovators, transformation leaders and operational managers. The research has resulted in a model with 18 “game changers” and 20 “adaptive skills”. This research has shown that current competency models are not fully adapted to the context of digital civilization (in the first 50 years of the 21st century). They don't take new trends and current game changers into account. It shows why Human Resources departments should rethink their managerial skills approach by integrating the “adaptive skills”. In a fast-paced environment, this research also invites management school Deans to take those new skills into account in the preparation of the future managers

Testo completoThe transfer of skills and know-how (TS/TKH) in organizations are of strategic importance for their survival and development and therefore require careful and rigorous control to provide any added value preparation. The first explicit conceptual and methodological research foundations and has lots of investigation and experimentation of our assumptions and tools part . It presents the issues related to the transfer of skills and know-how from the analysis of interviews, dysfunctions and their hidden regulatory costs. We study the importance of the definition of a policy of TS / TKH by management and the roles and practices of human resource skills management and transfer. In the second part, we study the key role held by the manager of proximity, its strategic position in the organization and management practices in the management and implementation of the policy of transfer of know -how, as well as in the monitoring and development of individual and collective performance. We also study the socio -economic impacts of actions TS / TKH and control these actions by local managers. Finally, we propose the concept of proximity manager - developer relying on the evolution of management in the twentieth century, the concept of integrated training and the importance of education. We offer management tools to allow local managers to better manage the TS / TKH

Testo completoAnchored in both an interpretivist and positivist epistemological posture and a triple theoreti-cal foundation of virtue ethics, social learning and authentic leadership, this transdisciplinary exploratory doctoral thesis mobilizes philosophy and social sciences fields to conceptualize the dimensions of Perceived Managerial Exemplarity (PME): 1) behaviors manifesting personal ethics, team management ethics and consideration of others, 2) a perception process of managerial exemplarity and 3) the impact of that perception has on individuals. An explorato-ry study is followed by two quantitative and qualitative studies on a sample of 1,172 professionals in 28 countries. We identify on one hand mimetic processes that facilitate so-cialization and the adoption of common standards and norms and the transmission of knowledge and skills, and on the other sources of virtuous inspiration that encourage the indi-vidual to become a better human being, associate and manager. The results show a relational model originating from exploratory factor analysis and structural equation modeling that high-lights the exemplary nature of ethical behavior and alignment/identification of the manager with the organization, as well as contrasts between different cultures. The ongoing develop-ment of a measurement instrument opens future avenues of research in large-scale exploration methodology and research of common antecedents of perceived exemplary managers. This re-search finds diverse managerial applications in organizational alignment, change management and management development and leadership

Mao-Wu, Jie. "L'impact des pratiques de gestion des ressources humaines et de management des compétences sur la fidélisation des jeunes cadres dans les firmes multinationales en Chine". Thesis, Aix-Marseille, 2013. http://www.theses.fr/2013AIXM1071.
Testo completoIn the context of increasing globalization, multinational companies set up abroad have a real challenge at present and for the near future: how to attract and retain talent in a global competition. This is particularly crucial issue in China, in a context of rapid growth and of talent shortage. The rate of turnover in multinational companies in China is very high. The frequent mobility of young cadres moving between foreign companies is a real managerial threat. The objective of this research is to determine the best HRM practices, and especially, the practices of management skills that improve the loyalty of senior executives of multinational companies. The loyalty is translated by a low intention to depart and a strong organizational implication. Therefore, our research question is: What are the factors that influence on the one hand, the intention to depart of the young talents, and the organizational implication on the other?
