Transformable Furniture
Master’s Degree Work
The theme of the Master’s degree work - “Transformable Furniture” – is a topical issue these days, because the problem of irrational and tasteless furniture as well as interiors still exists.
After analysing theories of the development of contemporary material environment as well as philosophical and artistic theories and attitude through the prism of the art and science proportion, the conception of the art playfulness, tendencies of the development of furniture and interior installations, assortment and principles of the creation and art conception as well as ergonomic laws, declared by the Functionality, the Constructivism, the concept of the Master’s degree work was formed, theoretical description was prepared and the universal, transformable furniture of 98 sq. m., designed for the interior was created; it enables to plan the dwelling space rationally and creatively.
The project is composed from eleven main objects with continuous transformable modifications of the furniture for individual space. The project is presented on fourteen plane-tables with detailed schemes of each object, visualisations of their position in the interior. Three-dimensional models of each object are presented following a chosen scale of M 1 : 10.
After the analysis of theoretical sources and their application in the project, the conclusions were made: transformable furniture enables to form the mobile as well as playful individual space... [to full text]

Klubinių baldų projektą sudaro fotelis, stalas ir pufas. Pasirinkta ši tema dėl tokių priežasčių: tokio tipo baldų pasirinkimas gan nedidelis, tokio tipo baldai salyginai brangūs ir ši tema man yra artima. Baldų formos ir spalvos įkvėptos gamtos – idėja kilo iš kokoso riešuto. Pagrindiniai kriterijai kuriais vadovautasi: funckionalumas, estetinė išvaizda, aukšta kokybė ir žema kaina. Sukurti baldai yra praktiški dėl keičiamų dažniausiai dėvimų dalių. Ištepus šias dalis ar mechaniškai pažeidus jas galima lengvai pakeisti, tai yra itin aktualu, nes nereikialauja papildomų išlaidų (transportavimas, baldo pervilkimas, darbo kaina). Dėl šios baldo savybės jį lengva pritaikyti prie interjero, gali būti keičiamos spalvos bei medžiagos (oda, audinys ir kt.). Fotelio galinėje dalyje pritvirtinta detalė yra tik mano pasiūlytas sprendinys, dėl baldo unikalios konstrukcijos, gali būti gaminami įvairūs kevalai, kitos formos detalės. Vietoje užrašo „COCONUT“ gali būti naudojami kiti užrašai, kuriuos siekiama populiarinti. Baigiamąjį darbą sudaro penki planšetai, aiškinamasis raštas, brėžinių aplankas, bukletas ir gaminys – fotelis.Club furniture design project consists of a chair, a table and a pouffe. This theme was chosen for the following reasons: the choise of this type of furniture is relatively small, such furniture is expensive and the topic is close to me. The shape and the colour are inspired by nature – the coconut. The main criteria I followed in my diploma work were: functionality, aesthetic appearance, high quality and low price. The created furniture is practical because of the parts that can be replaced. These parts can be easily replaced when smeard or mechanically broken and that is really important because it does not require additional expenses (transportation, furniture reclothing, labour price). Due to these removable parts, the designed furniture can be easily adapted to any interior – the colour and the material of the parts can be changed (leather, cloth, ect.). The attached part in the back of the armchair is my solution, variuos parts of other form can be made and attached. Other notes that are wanted to be populatized can be used instead of „COCONUT“. The Bachelor work consists of five flatbeds, the note folder, the folder of drawings, brochure and the product – an armchair.

Didėjantis mūsų gyvenimo tempas, dažniausiai nepalieka laiko poilsiui, bendravimui su artimaisiais, laikas tampa deficitu. Visi priversti skubėti, todėl vis labiau populiaresni tampa dizaino sprendimai, padedantys taupyti brangų laiką, sudarantys galimybę produkto vartotojui pačiam tapti kūrėju formuojant aplinką. Tai paskatino sukurti universalų baldą, lengvai transformuojamą. Šis kūrinys tarnaus ne tik kaip baldas poilsiui, atsipalaidavimui, bet atliks ir žaidybiškumo funkciją, lavins loginį mastymą ir vaizduotę. Bakalauro darbo pavadinimas „ DOMINO“. Tai modulinis transformuojamas baldas, kuris susideda iš 17 dalių. Pagrindas – lagamino formos dėžė, kuri gali transformuotis į minkštasuolį, staliuką su 16 minkštų odinių pagalvėlių, tinkantį laisvalaikio praleidimui, poilsiui, arba tarnauti kaip žaidybinė priemonė. Šį modulinį baldą lengvai galima transformuoti į lagaminą, tai sudarys galimybę jį patogiai transportuoti, panaudoti išvykose, ar poilsiaujant. Šis baldas puikiai tiks tiek mažose tiek didesnėse erdvėse, ar gamtoje. Spalvins komplekto sprendimas juodojo šokolado ir dramblio kaulo spalvos oda, tokį sprendimą lėmė tai, kad šios spalvos tradiciškai naudojamos šiame žaidime, tarpusavyje dera, nėra reiklios, todėl lengvai įsikomponuoja į aplinką, yra raminančios. Šis baldas puikiai tiks ir paaugliams ir suaugusiems.The increasing pace of our lives often leaves no time to relax and communicate with our family and friends and time becomes a deficit. Therefore we can see increasing popularity of design solutions that help to save valuable time, allowing the user to become himself a product designer in shaping his own environment. This led to the creation of universal furniture which is easily transformed. This creation will serve not only as a piece of furniture for relaxation but will have fuctions of entertaintment and will develop his owner's logical thinking and imagination. The title of this Bachelor's work is "Domino". The object of this work is a transformed modular furniture, which consists of 17 parts. The base of this furniture is suitcase which could be transformed into an armchair and a table with 16 upholstered leather pads, suitable for leisure, relaxation, or serve as a playful tool. This modular furniture could be easily transformed back to the suitcase, this fuction will be convenient to transport it and use during travels. This piece of furniture will suit both for small and large spaces as well as outdoors. Decision for the colour of the furniture was taken in regard of colours traditionally used in the game. Furthermore colours match each other and has calming features, also such combination of the colours is not demanding, so it could be easily integrated to environment. This furniture will be good for both adults and juveniles.

Kūrybinio darbo idėjos paieškoje naudojant informacijos šaltiniuose pateiktą medžiagą nagrinėjama konceptualių, ekologiškų ir daugiafunkcinių baldų gamyba ir pritaikymas interjere. Pateikiami trys modulinių laukiamojo baldų variantai. Pagrindinė medžiaga, iš kurios padaryti baldai, yra plastikas. Plastikiniai baldai patogūs, juos paprasta prižiūrėti, lengva pernešti iš vienos vietos į kitą, ir jie yra pigesni. Norint pakeisti baldų išdėstymą nekils problemų. Šiame projekte nėra prisirišama prie plano, moduliniai baldai projektuoti oro uosto laukiamojo salei. Tačiau juos galima pritaikyti ir kitose viešose erdvėse kaip traukinių, autobusų stotis ir t.t.
Atrinktos penkios idėjos, iš kurių trys galutinai išplėtotos. Visuose trijuose variantuose suprojektuotas šviečiantis modulis, centrinis akcentas su vandeniu, ir galimybe atsisėsti.
Pirmajį variantą sudaro šviečiantis elementas bukam kampui, metalinis elementas stačiam kampui, plastikinis elementas smailiam kampui, plastikinė kilpa, šiukšliadėžė, centrinis akcentas. Centrinis akcentas jungia grindis ir lubas, jame įrengtas LED apšvietimas, tekančio vandens atkarpa.
Antrajį variantą sudaro koriuko formos elementai – elementas atsisėsti be atlošo, šviečiantis elementas atsisėsti su atlošu, elementas su jame pasėta žole, šiukšliadėžė, centrinis akcentas. Centrinis akcentas suprojektuotas iš skirtingų dydžių korio formos marmuro plokštumų, jame įrengtas apšvietimas ir vandens telkinys.
Trečiajį variantą sudaro sėdimoji dalis, šviečiantis elementas, šiukšliadėžė, centrinis akcentas. Centriniame akcente įrengtas fontanas, padaryti platesni fontano kraštai, kad būtų galima prisėsti. Plastic furniture is comfortable and cheaper. It is easy to handle and move from one place to another. Therefore the change of furniture arrangement does not cause any problems. This project does not accurately follow the plan; modular furniture was designed for the airport departue lounge, but it can be adjusted to use in other public space, such as ralway or bus station, etc. Five ideas were chosen and three of them were developed till the end. All three variations include a luminous module as a central part with water and sitting possibility designed. The first variation consists of luminous element for a blunt corner, metal element for a sharp corner, plastic element for an acute corner, plastic loop, litterbin and a central part. Central part ties in a floor with a ceiling, it includes LED ilumination and running water segment installed. The second variation consists of the comb form elements – sitting element without a backrest, luminous sitting element with a backrest, element with a grass inside it, litterbin and a central part. Central part is designed using different sizes of the comb form marble flats with illumination and water body installed. The third variation consists of the sitting part, luminous element, litterbin and central part. Central part includes a fountain with wide edges to sit on. Illumination is installed under the sitting part.

In the southern Appalachians, unforested openings known as balds persist on or near mountain peaks. These high elevation openings support a variety of unusual biota and are considered globally rare as a result of their biodiversity. Balds have historically been subject to both natural and human disturbances. Such historical and more recent disturbances have had a profound impact on vegetation dynamics in these systems. With the use of dendrochronology and GIS, this research project was aimed at 1) reconstructing the temporal and spatial patterns of tree encroachment into Craggy Gardens, a grass/heath bald, and determining the causal factors, and 2) investigating tree-growth responses of Quercus rubra L. to climatic factors at Craggy Gardens and Big Bald, North Carolina (high elevation forest-grass ecotones).
Results indicate that historical grazing and land management have been responsible for vegetation changes at Craggy Gardens, in particular the advancement of Quercus rubra L. into the grass bald. Dendrochronological analyses showed that incremental growth of Quercus rubra L. growing in and adjacent to the balds was controlled by spring temperatures and drought conditions over most of the past century, until around 1970, when tree began responding primarily to growing year summer temperatures over the last four decades. This study concluded that land-uses overprinted on climatic conditions have governed local-scale vegetation structure over the past 150 years and without continuing management, trees may continue to advance into Craggy Gardens. Changing human disturbances along with observed climate changes in recent decades provides will most assuredly set the stage for future vegetation changes in southern Appalachians balds.Master of Science

Understanding the interplay between surficial and tectonic processes in the development of Utah's Wasatch Range is vital to evaluating geologic hazards along the Wasatch Front. Baldy is a large (6.125 km3) block of limestone and sandstone structurally overlying shale on the western flank of Mount Timpanogos. It has been mapped as a downdropped normal fault block of Permian units, but no other trace of such a fault exists along the range. The Baldy block structurally overlies the weak Manning Canyon shale, which has produced a regional geomorphology replete with faceted spurs, landslide scarps and deposits. Structural, bio- and litho-stratigrahic mapping of the block reveals breccia deposits, bed rotation and stratigraphic and structural relations to Mount Timpanogos consistent with a landslide interpretation. Structural reconstructions of the block and calculations of stream downcutting rates help constrain the timing and sequence of events of the block's emplacement. These results attest to the importance of surficial processes in the development of large-scale geologic structures, and demonstrate the ongoing danger of mass wasting to the communities of the Wasatch Front.

Baigiamajame darbe nagrinėjami moduliniai poilsio baldai. Darbo pavadinimas – „Modulinių poilsio baldų projektas „Fleksi““. Darbo apimtį sudaro 5 planšetai, filmukas, vaizduojantis sukurtus trimačius baldus, ir aprašas. Bakalauro darbe pateikiamas modulinių poilsio baldų aprašas. Darbą sudaro 7 dalys. Darbo tikslas – paruošti modulinių baldų projektą. Darbo uždavinys – sukurti gražius bei originalius baldus, kuriuos vartotojas galėtų pritaikyti pagal savo poreikius, kuriuos būtų galima lengvai transformuoti ir kurie leistų patirti naujus pojūčius. Darbo eiga prasidėjo nuo prototipų analizės. Nagrinėti įvairūs baldai, ieškant idėjos baldui. Buvo kuriami įvairūs eskizai, iš kurių išsirinkti geriausi. Tuomet buvo kuriamos jų schemos bei tolesni brėžiniai. Galutiniame variante sukurti keturi moduliniai poilsio baldai. Tai – lentyna su sėdima dalimi, staliukas, kėdė ir pakabinama lentyna. Baldus lengva transportuoti ir surinkti. Naujumas: baldai leis patirti naujus pojūčius. Baldus bus galima pritaikyti pagal savo poreikius bei iš turimų modulių sukurti tokį baldą, kokio nori vartotojas – kėdę, staliuką ar lentyną.The final paper analyses modular leisure furniture. Topic: Modular Leisure Furniture Project "Fleksi". Paper volume includes 5 project drawings, video showing the created 3D furniture and description. Bachelor’s paper presents modular leisure furniture description. The paper is made of 8 parts. Aim of the paper: to design a modular leisure furniture project. Task: to create nice and original furniture to be adapted to customer’s needs. Furniture should be easily transformed allowing experiencing new sensations. Course: the work started with prototype analysis. I analysed various furniture in order to find an idea. Then I created various sketches, selected the best ones, made their schemes and further drawings. Finally, four modular leisure furniture pieces were created: the shelf with a sitting place, small table, chair and suspended shelf. The furniture is easy to assemble and transport. Novelty: the furniture will allow experiencing new sensations. The furniture can be adapted to one’s individual needs.

Resumo: o presente trabalho está inscrito na área de estudos sobre a história da Antropologia no Brasil, tomando por objeto de análise a trajetória de Herbert Baldus. Herbert Baldus (1899-1970) foi um etnólogo alemão, naturalizado brasileiro, que chegou ao país na década de 1920, tendo empreendido pesquisas etnográficas entre vários grupos indígenas americanos, majoritariamente no Brasil. Descendente de uma linhagem de pesquisadores germânicos que, desde o descobrimento, dedicaram-se a estudar os indígenas brasileiros, Baldus teve uma trajetória peculiar entre eles. Inserindo-se, desde o princípio, no processo de institucionalização da Antropologia no Brasil que se iniciou nos anos 30, Baldus ocupou a cadeira de Etnologia Brasileira na Escola Livre de Sociologia e Política de São Paulo de 1939 a 1960, assumindo posteriormente a chefia da Seção de Etnologia do Museu Paulista de 1947 a 1968, vindo também a dirigir aquela instituição. Sua trajetória e obra refletem as transições entre diferentes períodos e correntes teóricas na Antropologia brasileira, tendo sido um dos introdutores do funcionalismo e dos estudos de aculturação indígena no país, e tendo desempenhado importante papel de liderança e definição nos rumos tomados pela discussão de questões indigenistas entre os etnólogos no Brasil desde a decada de 30... Abstract: The present issue is refered to the studies on History of Anthropology in Brazil, analysing the trajectory of Herbert Baldus. Herbert Baldus (1899-1970) was a German ethnologist, who became a Brazilian citzen, arrived in Brazil in the 1920's, and accomplished fieldworks among American indigenous groups, mainly the Brazilian ones. Baldus descends from a German ethnological tradition in Brazilian Anthropology that, since the discovery of Brazil, studied Brazilian native groups. Although, compared with his pairs, Baldus had a peculiar trajectory. He was inserted into the process of Anthropology institutionalization in Brazil since its beginning, in the 1930's. He became the Chairman on Brazilian Ethnology in Escola Livre de Sociologia e Política de São Paulo, from 1939 to 1960. From 1947 to 1968, he was the Chief of the Section of Ethnology on Museu Paulista, where he also became the director of the museum. His works reflect the transition between different theoretical trends and historical periods in Brazilian History of Anthropology. He was one of the former ethnologists who introduced functionalistic theories, began the studies on Indigenous acculturation and developed a leadership role on indigenism discussion in Brazil, since the 30's... The thesis is focused on comparing the round baler with variable bale chamber. The press Vicon RV 1601 OC14 was compared with press Welger RP 435 Master. The evaluation was conducted from three perspectives. The first was the construction of the machine. The second was economic and the last one was the quality of work. Furthermore comparing was done per the performance, the cost of molding, packaging and simple analysis of investment and operating costs. The quality of the design was better with the press Welger. This press was measured to better results in bale density per hundred percent dry matter with straw 98.13 kg.m-3. Greater hourly output during molding were measured on the press Welger. From an overall perspective was evaluated press Welger better.

In this project I argue that trauma is a major component of society. Rather than positioning trauma as an event, I contend that it should be understood as an environmental force. To form this reorientation I look to an actual environment and the ways in which it remembers and responds to systemic violence. Specifically, I track the colonization and exploitation of Mount Baldy, and how natural occurrences such as floods and fires have consistently threatened human development on the mountain. If trauma is both monumentally impactful and an environmental force, then it merits a major rethinking of many of the aspects of human existence that are assumed to be stable. In chapter 1, I move trauma outside of the psychological definitions of the DSM and into a communal and systemic framework. In chapter 2, I use a case study of Mount Baldy to understand how environmental forces react to trauma, which provides a way to imagine how a society or community might collectively operate as a traumatized being. In chapter 3, I undertake a material research process using clay harvested from Mount Baldy. Clay, which mimics characteristics of the human body and is literally a part of the natural environment, connects the embodied nature of trauma for human to the ecological manifestations of trauma. This allows a glimpse at what it might mean to acknowledge trauma as a major component of the human experience.

Darbas susideda iš trijų dalių: teorinės, analitinės ir rezultatų. Teorinėje dalyje pabrėžiama konkurencingumo palaikymo svarba, apžvelgiamos įvairios konkurencingumo teorijos, pradedant Smito tarptautinės prekybos teorijomis ir jos modernizavimo raida, o baigiant Porterio penkių konkurencinių jėgų modeliu ir jo tolimesnio vystymo keliais. Antrojoje darbo dalyje pateikiama situacijos šiuolaikinėje Lietuvos baldų pramonėje analizė, jos raida iki šio laiko, vystymosi tendencijos bei perspektyvos. Pateikiami statistiniai duomenys apie įmonių skaičių, pagrindines įmones, gaminamą produkciją, gamybos ir eksporto apimtis ir jų kitimo dinamiką. Čia taip pat apžvelgta ir bendra situacija Europos baldų pramonėje, bei trumpai apžvelgta atskirų ES šalių baldų pramonė. Pateikta Lietuvos baldų pramonės SSGG analizė. Trečiojoje - rezultatų dalyje, pristatytas atliktas tyrimas, jo metodika, išanalizuoti gauti duomenys. Kadangi situaciją baldų rinkoje geriausiai žino jos dalyviai, čia pateikiama baldų gamybos įmonių vadovų apklausa, kurios metu buvo nustatytos pagrindinės konkurencinės jėgos veikiančios Lietuvos baldų pramonėje, jų išsaugojimo ir sukūrimo keliai. Išvadose pateikiami keliai baldų pramonės konkurenciniaims prašamumams stiprinti bei esamiems išlaikyti.This graduation work emphasis competitiveness issues and perspectives of Lithuanian furniture industry enterprises. Research object - Lithuanian furniture industry companies competitiveness. Research aim is to analyze Lithuanian furniture industry enterprises competitiveness, discover main forces at which are based competitive factors, find possibilities to sustain and develop new competitive factors and possibilities. Work is divided in three main parts. In the first part is given analysis of development theoretical conception of competitiveness from the Smith theories of absolute competitive advantages of countries till the later theories. Analyzed macroeconomics factors influence for industry competitiveness. Section ends with M.Porter model of five competitive forces and his further development. Esta dissertação buscou compreender os sentidos do trabalho para mulheres que exercem funções de limpeza e conservação em empresa prestadora de serviços em Santa Catarina. Sua espinha dorsal foi a perspectiva histórico-dialética, entendendo o sujeito como social e historicamente determinado, constituído e constituinte do contexto no qual está inserido. Foi realizada uma pesquisa de campo de metodologia qualitativa, na forma de estudo de caso. As entrevistas realizadas buscaram encontrar o movimento destas mulheres nos processos de escolha da profissão, os sentidos atribuídos a este trabalho, bem como quais os projetos por elas engendrados. O método de análise foi progressivo-regressivo, baseado na teoria sartreana, buscando destacar a objetivação das subjetividades nos sentidos vertical - contemplando a singularidade na intersecção com a coletividade - e horizontal - considerando as dimensões de passado, presente e futuro. A análise do material obtido demonstrou que a gênese desta escolha foi motivada pela necessidade econômica aliada à baixa escolaridade. Nos sentidos atribuídos ao trabalho destacaram-se aspectos depreciativos e desvalorizantes, contudo este demonstrou ser importante e central na vida destas mulheres. Quanto à dimensão de futuro, esta profissão foi sentida como pouco atrativa e a mudança de emprego, na maioria dos casos, fica na dependência de outra possibilidade de inserção profissional.

Mestrado em Arquitetura Paisagista - Instituto Superior de Agronomia - ULO presente trabalho compreende um espectro temporal de aproximadamente cento e dez anos, período que se inicia na última metade do século XIX e termina na primeira década do século XXI, com o propósito de imprimir inteligibilidade sobre as alterações da Paisagem da Serra de Mértola. Estudo de um cenário em constante mutabilidade, próprio do que é vivo e dinâmico, que só uma visão dilatada no tempo permitiu. Foram analisados seis momentos para os quais, existe cartografia dos usos do solo e cadastro de propriedade: 1891-92, 1926-27, 1957, 1990, 2007, e 2008, foram analisadas as respetivas conjunturas político-económicas, delineou-se a historia dos usos do solo do baldio da Serra de Mértola, que não é mais do que a história da ocupação humana daquele lugar, para a escala de tempo considerada. O trabalho tem o seu epicentro em 1926-27, data da divisão do baldio, momento em que se registou uma alteração dos direitos de propriedade da terra, e sobre o qual, afortunadamente, se usufruiu do plano1 da repartição das terras em glebas, encontrado por Roxo. O trabalho traduz-se na sobreposição destes cinco momentos, em que se procuraram as razões que levaram à divisão, retrocedendo aos anos anteriores, e os ecos repercutidos no território, ao percorrer os anos posteriores, tecendo as devidas correlações com as alterações dos usos do solo. Abriu-se assim, uma outra oportunidade de olhar novamente para este lugar, e pensar o território a partir dele. As mudanças de organização social são sempre acompanhadas de alterações estruturais nos direitos de propriedade, que por sua vez alteram profundamente o território. No fundo, as perguntas que se impõem. É certo que a alteração dos direitos de propriedade modifica profundamente a aparência do lugar. Como evoluiu a paisagem do baldio? The focus of this thesis is the supernatural ballads of northern Europe and, in particular, how we can understand a society through its literature. I take as my initial focus the ballads of Denmark (Chapters 2, 4, 5, 6), where supernatural beings of the elf-type are common, before proceeding to the wider northern-European context of Sweden (Chapters 3, 4, 5, 6), Iceland (Chapter 3 and 6), Germany (Chapter 3) and Scotland (Chapters 3 and 7), ranging from the earliest extant text of 1550 through to the nineteenth century to examine synchronic and diachronic changes and what they reveal of the cultures which produced them. This study considers the ballad as pleasing and satisfying literature which does not exist in a cultural or historical vacuum. Close, comparative reading of the texts moves us towards an understanding of how the supernatural was used as a vehicle for considering identity and man’s place in the world. The study analyses the recurring use of the supernatural ballads to establish social and national identities and to express ideologies concerned with gender and patriarchy. The supernatural ballads demand that we look critically at our attitudes, perspectives, and assumptions. As well as examining the main concerns and motifs of the ballad versions, the thesis seeks to problematize our initial assumptions by re-examining the traditional readings and by looking at examples of non-traditional versions. Responses to the ballad stories from both high and low culture serve as a lens through which to analyse the ballads, so Virgil’s consideration of the tale of Orpheus and Eurydice is examined along with Ibsen’s own dramatic version of the Agnete story, and Matthew Arnold’s poem on the same text. This thesis also seeks to examine in what ways women are characterized in terms of their relation to men in a genre largely transmitted by women, in the early ballad and in the nineteenth century, to examine tentatively if there is evidence of women seizing the narrative in order to disrupt the dominant discourse.

Paskutiniu metu pastebimas vis didesnis susidomėjimas ekologiniais baldais. Todėl iškyla problema – kokias ekologinio produkto strategijas reikia parinkti, kad lydėtų sėkmė rinkoje. Darbo tikslas – suformuoti ekologinio produkto strategiją. This thesis examines the literary output and influence of Baldur von Schirach (1907-1974) and - since he devoted his writing to the service of the party and its leader - his resultant cultural contribution to the establishment and consolidation of the National Socialist dictatorship. To date, Schirach's political role as Reichsjugendführer has overshadowed his literary work and influence. By demonstrating that his poems were not only supported by the National Socialist regime but also widely read in nationalist and right-wing circles in and before the Nazi party's rise to power, I aim to complement and correct the current perception of Schirach's role in the Third Reich. A clearer picture of Schirach's cultural persona and ideological development is achieved by considering literary sources as well as historical and biographical data. Based on the analysis of his published and unpublished texts (poems, songbooks, articles, speeches, correspondence, interviews), this study outlines Schirach's position within the National Socialist movement and also situates his writing within the wider context of his times. To this end, it establishes his literary role models and investigates the extent of their influence on Schirach. It explores his literary response to debates around the role of the author in the politicised sphere of the Weimar Republic. Analysis of his poems in comparison with the war writing of the 1920s, in particular with that of Ernst Jünger, reveals that there is more ambiguity in Schirach's poetry than scholarly accounts of his poems have previously allowed. I identify central features of his writing that can be found in Communist poetry but also in non-political poetry written during the same period, especially as regards use of intertextuality and the blurring or merging of the literary and political spheres. These commonalities reaffirm the existing impetus in scholarly research made by Helmuth Kiesel, Uwe Hebekus, Walter Delabar, Sebastian Graeb-Könneker and others to rethink our binary understanding of modernist and National Socialist literature. The example of Schirach, this study concludes, reveals not only the contrasts but also continuities between the literature of the Weimar Republic and the Third Reich. It is also possible here for the first time to extend these reflections to the post-1945 period, as unpublished correspondence and poems from Schirach's twenty-year prison sentence, provided by his family, are analysed in the final chapter. Engagement with Schirach as an author is not an attempt to rehabilitate him, or to rebut his categorisation as a National Socialist writer. Instead, by analysing his literary works and how they relate to other literary and ideological currents of his time, this study contributes to a more nuanced understanding of the role literature played in National Socialism at all stages of the party's development and thus to a broader understanding of the movement as a cultural as well as political phenomenon.

We analyzed soils in Alder Bald, Grassy Bald, and Rhododendron Bald communities on Roan Mountain to infer the influence of vegetation on soil and to help guide management strategies. In all vegetation types, soils were acid (pH = 4–5) sandy loams. We found vegetation-associated differences for organic content, cation exchange capacity, acidity, two plant macronutrients (K, Mg), and three cations (Fe, Na, Zn). We predicted that nitrogen compounds would be highest in the Alder Bald because Alnus viridis ssp. crispa (Green Alder) can harbor nitrogen-fixing bacteria. Organic content was highest at the alder-bald sites, ammonium was similar among vegetation types, and nitrate was high at only some sample sites. The unique soil properties of the Alder Bald community, its likely role in primary succession, and its documentation as a long-standing community type on Roan Mountain suggest that management should be directed towards its conservation.

DARBO SANTRAUKA Šio darbo tikslas buvo – parengti baldus gaminančios UAB „Gurda“ korpusinių biuro baldų marketingo strategiją. Strategija parangta vienai įmonės gaminamos produkcijos linijai – korpusiniams biuro baldams, kadangi šio sektoriaus pelningumas yra pats žemiausias. Teorinėje dalyje yra aptarta marketngo strategijų rūšys ir detalizuota marketingo strategijos rengimo technologija. Analitinėje dalyje apžvelgėme korpusinių biuro baldų rinką Lietuvoje ir įvertinome UAB „Gurda“ situaciją. Tam buvo pasitelkta rinkos, mikro ir makro aplinkos analizės. Taip pat siekiant išsiaiškinti silpnasias ir stipriasias puses, buvo pasitelta SWOT analizė. Visos rengiamos marketingo strategijos yra skirtos įmonės marketingo tikslams pasiekti. Pagrindiniai iš jų yra per ateinančius metus padidinti apyvartą iki 14 mln. litų ir pasiekti 1mln. litų pelną. Kaip žinome, marketingo strategijos yra skirstomos į konkuravimo, rinkos aprėpimo, pozicionavimo ir marketingo komplekso strategijas. Visos šios keturios strategijų grupės skirtos bendram tikslui pasiekti – padidinti įmonės vertę, tačiau kiekviena strategija analizuoja skirtingas konkuravimo rinkoje taktikas, sąlygojamas skirtingų marketingo aspektų. Siekdami sukurti visapusišką marketingo planą, paruošėme strategines alternatyvas remdamiesi visomis minėtomis strategijų grupėmis. Darbą sudaro 76 puslapiai, 21 lentelė ir 14 paveikslų. Išvados pateiktos darbo gale.S U M M A R Y The purpose of this paper was to make the marketing strategy of the office furniture of JSC „Gurda“ in Lithuanian market. The strategy was created to the one line of the firm‘s production – case office furniture, because the profitability of this sector is the lowest between all firm‘s business lines. In the theoretical part of this paper was described all the types of marketing strategies and the technology of the marketing strategy creation was analyzed in detail. In the analytical part of this paper it was analyzed case office furniture market in Lithuania. After that it was evaluated the situation of JSC „Gurda“ in that market. It was used the analysis of the market, micro and macro environment. Also it was invoked the SWOT analysis to know the weak and strong sides of the firm. All the marketing strategies are used to reach the marketing purposes of the company. The main purposes of JSC „Gurda“determined in this paper are to increase the circulation of the firm till 14 mill. Litas and to reach 1 mill. Litas profit next year. In order that the universal marketing plan of JSC „Gurda“ case office furniture would be created, it was made one strategy of every main marketing strategies groups: competitive strategy, market targeting, positioning and marketing complex strategy. There are 76 pages, 21 table and 14 pictures in this project. Conclusions are introduced at the end of the thesis.

Magistro darbas individualumo ir kūrybiškumo poreikis Lietuvos baldų dizaino pramonėje” tiria daiktinės aplinkos įtaką kasdieniam žmogaus gyvenimui, jo kūrybiškumui, bei vartotojiškų savybių formavimui.Vartotojiškumo tema plačiai ištyrinėta sociologiniais ir filosofiniais aspektais, tačiau kūrybiškumo temos tyrimai pradėti prieš keletą dešimtmečių, bet nei pasaulyje, nei Lietuvoje neprieita bendros nuomonės kuri apibūdintų kūrybiškumo raiškos ypatumus mokyklinio amžiaus vaiko pasaulyje.
Kita vertus, vienareikšmiškai sutinkama, kad jaunuolio kūrybiškai saviraiškai bene didžiausią reikšmę turi ne vien tik auklėjimo sistema, bet ir gyvenamoji aplinka. Mus supanti aplinka vienas svarbiausių kūrybinio proceso aspektų.
Lietuvai tapus Europos sąjungos nare pastebimas akivaizdus ekonominių, bei socialinių santykių pasikeitimas, spartus technologinis tobulėjimas skatina didesnį žinių srautą kuris iššaukia didesnį vartojimą. Postmoderniojivisuomenė, pamažu virsdama vartotojų visuomene, vis daugiau dėmesio skiria ilgalaikių jaunuolio gebėjimų augimui, todėl ypač didėja susidomėjimas ankstyvąja vaiko raida, jo individualumo lavinimu. Gyvenimo būdo kaita suponuoja paruošti jaunuolį kiek kitokiai ateičiai, kurioje, tikėtina, bus lemiamas kūrėjo, o ne vartotojo vaidmuo.
Dabartinė padėtis Lietuvos vaikiškų baldų pramonėje paskatino atkreipti dėmesį į šios problemos aktualumą. [toliau žr. visą tekstą]Master thesis of individuality and creativity need Lithuanian furniture design industry is investigating the environmental impact of material daily human life, his creativity, and qualities are widely researched topic formavimui.Vartotojiškumo sociological and philosophical aspects, but the themes of creativity research to start a few decades ago, but neither the world nor Lithuania failed to come to a common opinion that described creativity in expression of the school-age child in the world. On the other hand, it is explicitly agreed that a young man's creative self-expression is mostly influenced not only by the (education/upbringing) system, but also by the living environment. The surrounding environment is one of the most important aspects of the creative process. The young man’s room furniture comparative analysis is displayed further. Surveys are done in which consumer’s demand for a product is discovered. After summarizing all of the results, it is possible to offer efficient and modern design solutions for school-age children. Practical work: individuality promoting young man’s room furniture. Easily transformed objects for easy personalization, creativity and the promotion of life-cycle extension are (offered) based on the theoretical work(’s) results.

SANTRAUKA Verslas ir jo plėtra yra susijusi su didesne ar mažesne rizika. Kiekviena įmonė užsiimdama veikla siekia gauti pelną, o tuo pačiu susiduria ir su verslo rizika. Rizikos sąlygomis kiekviena įmonė gali negauti laukiamų pajamų ir patirti išlaidų. Todėl būtina tinkamai įvertinti verslo riziką, su kuria susiduria verslininkas ir pritaikyti jos mažinimo būdus, kad rizika kuo mažiau paveiktų finansinę įmonės būklę. Šio darbo tyrimo objektas yra Lietuvos baldų įmonės. Yra analizuojama verslo rizika baldų įmonėse ir jos mažinimo būdai. Šio darbo uždaviniai yra: 1. Išnagrinėti verslo rizikos sampratą bei reikšmę. 2. Išnagrinėti verslo rizikos veiksnius. 3. Išskirti verslo rizikos rūšis pagal įvairius klasifikavimo būdus. 4. Išskirti verslo rizikos mažinimo būdus. 5. Įvertinti verslo riziką Lietuvos baldų įmonėse. 6. Įvertinti veiksnius, labiausiai įtakojančius verslo riziką baldų įmonėse. 7. Nustatyti verslo rizikos mažinimo būdus baldų įmonėse. Atliktas tyrimas parodė, kad didesnioji dalis apklausos dalyvių verslo riziką sieja su pavojais ir nuostoliais. Taip pat atliktas tyrimas parodė, kad Lietuvos baldų įmonės nėra labai linkusios rizikuoti, jos renkasi mažiau rizikingas situacijas. O susidūrusios su rizika baldų įmonės dažnai atsisako per nelyg rizikingo projekto ar dalį rizikos perduoda kitiems. In risk conditions each company can get no expected revenue and have expense. So, it is necessary to evaluate rightly business’s risk, with which clash businessman and apply its decrease ways, that risk as possible less influences company’s financial condition. Object of this work investigation is Lithuania’s furniture companies. It is analyzing business risk in furniture companies and its decrease ways. Tasks of this work are: 1. Inspect risk’s of business conception and mean. 2. Inspect risk’s of business factors. 3. Secrete risk’s of business types by various classification types. 4. Certaines réalités socio-culturelles posent problème aux chrétiens africains sur la vie matrimoniale. La dot souvent élevée empêche beaucoup de jeunes à contracter le mariage. La recherche effrénée des enfants dans tout mariage coutumier provoque parfois des difficultés aux conjoints sans enfants. Ce qui, bien entendu, dégénère dans la polygamie. Ce mariage polygamique, en effet, est toléré et non voulu par les coutumes africaines. Toutefois, la première épouse occupe une place prépondérante par rapport aux autres femmes. Mais cela ne reste pas moins vrai qu’une telle conception ternit la conception chrétienne. Car les dispositions canoniques insistent plutôt sur le mariage monogamique et indissoluble. En outre, l’Église considère le consentement comme l’élément essentiel du mariage entre les conjoints. Ce que suggère, sans contredit, la doctrine personnaliste qui met en relief l’aspect individuel dans tout engagement matrimonial. Or en Afrique, la communauté ou le clan joue un rôle non négligeable dans chaque mariage. En privilégiant ainsi les droits communautaires, la conception africaine essaie de protéger la stabilité du foyer sans pour autant supplanter les droits proprement dits des conjoints. Ces pratiques sont dues aux réalités socio-culturelles qui veulent se perpétuer à travers les âges.
Voilà pourquoi la présente recherche vise à examiner certaines pratiques majeures: - taire la part, à la lumière de l’Évangile , pour discerner les valeurs authentiques et celles qui contredisent le message évangélique. Tout en purifiant, en élevant et en intégrant les valeurs positives, les Églises d’Afrique pourront alors rendre ce message évangélique accessible aux nombreux chrétiens. Ce qui, à la longue, permettra de les inculturer. Pour ce faire, nous allons analyser la conception du mariage tel que vécu pat les LwelfBalori), une ethnie du Zaïre en Afrique Centrale. Car ils suivent le régime matrilinéaire. De ce point de vue, leurs pratiques rejoignent celles de beaucoup d’ethnies en Afrique. En tant que population-témoin, ils nous éclairont sur les coutumes africaines en la matière. En ce sens, cette étude sera articulée en trois chapitres, du reste, complémentaires. Le premier observera le mariage chez les Lwel (Balori Orientaux). Nous déploierons leurs pratiques en prenant également en compte celles des autres ethnies africaines. Dans le deuxième chapitre, nous aborderons le défi même de l’inculturation à travers sa visée, son projet et son fonctionnement. Cette partie va considérer aussi tous les efforts qui sont présentement déployés en Afrique. Le troisième chapitre situera le fondement théologique du mariage sacramentel dans sa courbe évolutive. Après quoi nous dégagerons un discours théologique qui en découle au regard de la conception africaine du mariage.

Lietuvos baldų pramonė – vienas sparčiausiai besiplėtojančių apdirbamosios pramonės sektorių šalyje. Keletą paskutiniųjų metų fiksuojami spartūs baldų gamybos apimčių augimo tempai ir nuolat didėjančios eksporto apimtys bei besiplečianti eksporto geografija. Apie 90 proc. baldų pramonės įmonių produkcijos realizuojama užsienio rinkose. Baldų pramonės produkcijos eksportą neigiamai veikia mažmeninio pirkimo sezoniškumas, o taip pat gan problematiškas bendradarbiavimas su švedų koncernu „IKEA“. Pastarasis superka daugiau nei pusę Lietuvos baldų pramonės produkcijos, todėl gali įtakoti produkcijos pirkimo kainas bei nustatyti vienpusiškai sau naudingas sąlygas. Esant tokioms tendencijoms atsiranda būtinybė ieškoti alternatyvių baldų pirkėjų, didinti pardavimų apimtis jau gerai įsavintose užsienio rinkose, o taip pat ieškoti naujų. Viena tokių - kol kas pakankamai neįsavinta, potenciali rinka yra Japonijos baldų rinka. Darbo objektas yra Lietuvos baldų pramonė, o pagrindinis tikslas - išskirti Lietuvos baldų pramonės produkcijos eksporto į Japonijos rinką tendencijas ir perspektyvas. Magistro baigiamąjį darbą sudaro trys pagrindinės dalys. Pirmoje, teorinėje dalyje, apžvelgiami įėjimo į užsienio rinkas teoriniai aspektai, plačiau nagrinėjant strateginius verslo aljansus, taip pat aptariami tarptautinio konkurencingumo aspektai. For the last few years records shows stupendous growth rate of furniture production, continually increasing volumes of exports and exports geography. Lithuania‘s furniture branch is export oriented with about 90% of whole production output sold in the foreign markets. Due to reasons mentioned above, prospects of furniture branch development depend on success of enterprises exports activities. Exports of the Lithuanian furniture industry’s production are under the influence of seasonal retail purchasing, also collaboration with Swedish concern „IKEA“ is quite problematic. It corners more than half production output of Lithuanian furniture branch therefore is able to significantly affect on purchasing prices and dictate discriminating conditions of collaboration. On those trends is necessary to search for new international furniture wholesalers, increase sales volumes at existing foreign markets and search for a new. Foi realizado um estudo epidemiológico sobre intoxicação por pesticidas organofosforados e carbamatos em trabalhadores rurais no município de Baldim. Foi feito levantamento das condições de trabalho e da percepção dos trabalhadores intoxicados. Os trabalhadores intoxicados foram comparados com os não intoxicados, verificando-se que a intoxicação era significativamente mais frequente entre os trabalhadores rurais arrendatários e volantes. Constituiram os maiores fatores de risco para intoxicação por pesticidas organofosforadose carbamatos em Baldim. a) Frequentar casa de venda de produtos agrícolas (OR = 3,4); b) Trabalhar em cultura de tomate (OR = 8,5); c) Relatar contato com pesticida (OR = 5,l) e d)Executar atividade de pulverização de pesticidas (OR = 2,5)

[...]. La mia tesi di dottorato presenta un saggio di glossario dialettale diacronico (A-B) esteso a
tutte e quattro le redazioni del Baldus, per un totale di oltre quattrocento lemmi. Il lavoro
coniuga lessicografia dialettale e filologia d’autore. Si tratta, infatti, per quanto attiene al
primo ambito, di un glossario esaustivo (per il segmento alfabetico A-B) dei dialettismi, nel
quale si mira a ricostruire la geografia e la storia delle parole dialettali presupposte dai
macaronismi del Baldus (vale a dire la loro area di diffusione nei dialetti moderni e, fin dove
possibile, negli antichi volgari, con particolare attenzione al sec. XVI), con ampiezza di
riscontri dialettali, indicazione della prima attestazione e dell’etimo. Ma, oltre a questo, il glossario si configura anche come una concordanza diacronica: per ogni lemma è fornita la
lista completa dei contesti in cui occorre nelle quattro redazioni del Baldus e di ogni contesto
è ricostruita la storia redazionale; a ciascun luogo in cui è attestato un dialettismo, infatti, si è
affiancato il luogo corrispondente nelle altre redazioni, così da fornire sistematicamente una
rappresentazione esplicita del movimento variantistico. Per agevolare l’allestimento del
glossario, è stato realizzato un corpus testuale informatizzato delle quattro redazioni del
Baldus con il software GATTO (Gestione degli Archivi Testuali del Tesoro delle Origini), in
cui sono stati inseriti i testi integrali delle quattro versioni del poema, per un totale di circa
cinquantamila versi. Il corpus, propedeutico all’opera lessicografica, rappresenta anche uno
strumento potenzialmente autonomo, la cui libera interrogazione potrebbe avere una

Darbą sudaro trys pagrindinės dalys: pirma dalis yra teorinė, joje nagrinėjama paskirstymo kanalų samprata ir jų reikšmė, marketingo veiksniai turintys įtakos paskirstymo kanalo parinkimui, pateikiama motyvacijos teorijų apžvalga, analizuojamas paskirstymo kanalų narių parinkimas ir motyvai. Antroje darbo dalyje yra apžvelgiama baldų pramonės Kauno apskrityje verslo aplinka. Aptariamos jos vystymosi raidos tendencijos. Taip pat apžvelgiama bendra baldų pramonės rinkos situacija. Trečioje darbo dalyje yra pateikiami tyrimo rezultatai gauti anketinės apklausos metu, taip pat pateikiami rezultatai gauti interviu metu su baldų pramonės atsovais. Rezultatai yra interpretuojami bei vertinami, pateikiamos tyrimo išvados. Suformuotas paskirstymo kanalų pasirinkimo motyvų modelis.Every company after manufacture or purchase of goods must introduce them to its costumers. “The place of distribution” is the third element of 4P in the plan of marketing. The main purpose of this element is to bring goods to costumers on accepted time, place, and quantity and on accepted manner. These tasks are important for wholesale and retail companies. The distribution channel of goods consists of other companies or persons, who participate in the process of goods movement from manufacturer to customer. To choose a suitable distribution channel of goods a company must know where is its costumer, how many costumer it has and what are selling conditions in the market. Marketing research can help to get answers into these questions and to find out what are the business conditions. The survey results will facilitate effective and correct decision-making process. Thus, when a company is making a decision about distribution channels, marketing research would help to clear the situation, and to reasonably motivate a selected distribution strategy: the number, sort of distribution channels, and the selected places where will be distributed goods and services. The selection of plan and structure of distribution channel lasts longer than decision making, based on any other marketing complex element.
