Bleeding control and clot fixing are essential in oral surgery because the clot stops haemorrhage and forms a frame necessary to bone healing after dental extraction. That's why any impairment in the fibrin network setup can lead to complications. No bone substitution material is now known to have sufficient haemostatic properties to counter sever haemostasis troubles such as haemoplilias. A substitutive treatment with deficient factor infusion can correct the problem and allows the surgery but this practice is not risks free. Hence the interest to develop a hybrid material presenting haemostatic properties and sustaining bone healing. This work aims to develop a resorbable macroporous cellulosic material which could be used in bone environment in patients with haemostasis pathology (haemophilia A) in order to obtain a fast coagulation

External radiotherapy is widely used in the treatment of cancers of head and neck cancers. The main side effect is osteoradionecrosis, which can lead to a major deterioration in the quality of life. Low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) has been described in the stimulation of bone healing in traumatology and orthopaedics. They would have an effect on the early vascular phase of bone consolidation. We therefore wanted to study, through an animal study, their impact on the healing of irradiated maxillary bones. For this, we have developed a model of radiotherapy in rabbits, in order to study the healing after creation of a bone defect on an irradiated mandible. Irradiation was performed according to the following protocol : 8.5Gy/week, with one session per week, for 5 weeks, for a total dose of 42.5Gy. Mandibular surgery consisted of performing a standardized bone defect immediately after irradiation. A control group benefited from the same surgery, without prior irradiation. With this model we obtained an alteration in bone healing, confirmed by histology and microscanner. Once the radio-induced bone alterations were highlighted, we were able to renew the protocol by adding an additional step of applying LIPUS to the surgical sites. The protocol consisted of the postoperative application of LIPUS, for 10 sessions, during 20 minutes, with the following parameters : 30mW/cm², pulse 1:4, 20 min, 1MHz. Application of LIPUS on the irradiated rabbit model did not appear to have a beneficial effect on bone healing : in histology, healing did not appear to be improved after application of LIPUS ; on the microscan, some parameters even seemed to be negatively impacted by LIPUS. We can however assume an interesting effect on the general state of health of the animals, with in particular an increase in their weight and their water consumption. Our results should be interpreted with great caution. Indeed, the sample studied is very small, and there is a lot of heterogeneity between the different subjects. In addition, several limitations that could question the validity of this study should also be taken into consideration. In the end, even if the LIPUS technology does not seem beneficial on bone healing in irradiated terrain with regard to the results that we obtained, this work validates an animal radiotherapy model. This model could be used to test other possible therapies in the future

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of information, the previous experience in dental trauma and the attitude of the parents and teachers about the emergency management of dental avulsion and tooth fracture in children, it was applied to a questionnaire to 372 teachers and 400 parents of Metropolitan the central area of Lima; results showed regulate level of information of parents and teachers, an uncertain attitude of parents and teachers on the management for an avulsed tooth, an uncertain attitude of the parents and an appropriate attitude of the teachers on the management of tooth fracture, 36,3% of the parents and 29,6% of the teachers have had previous experience in dental trauma, the occupation of the parents influences in its level of information, was observed that to greater professional development of the teachers it increases the level of information on the trauma, 68% of the parents and the 71,8% of the teachers have not received information of dental first aid of any source, to greater age increases the proportion of parents who have an appropriate attitude on the management for an avulsed tooth, the parents with great level education (81.8%) have an uncertain attitude on the management for an avulsed tooth; there was statistically significant association between the information level and the attitude of the parents and teachers on management of dental avulsion and tooth fracture in children, there was no statistically significant association between the previous experience and the attitude of the parents and teachers; educational campaigns are necessary to improve dental first aid of people lay

The guidelines of the International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT) and textbooks on pediatric dentistry do not recommend reimplantation in deciduous teeth, thus the importance of this work being focused on permanent teeth. This paper aimed to discuss aspects related to trauma and avulsion, providing information in the urgent care. Using Pubmed and google academic databases, and selecting as temporal criteria articles between 2001 and 2020 in English and Portuguese. Thus, the research used the following keywords: dental reimplantation, traumatology, traumatic dental, tooth avulsion. Complications associated with reimplantation can arise and depend on several factors such as the stage of root development, means of storage and transportation, length of time the avulsed tooth has been kept extra-orally, type and duration of retention. Resorption by bone replacement (ankylosis) is the main cause of loss of the reimplanted tooth.
