Bertrandias, Laurent. "Sélection et influence des sources personnelles d'information du consommateur". Toulouse 1, 2006. http://www.theses.fr/2006TOU10006.
Testo completoIn order to choose within products and brands, consumers seek information, more particularly from people they are related with, like friends or acquaintances. Personal information sources look particular because of their propensity to be more credible and persuasive than commercial sources. Nevertheless, certain sources are more solicited than the other ones. Indeed this dissertation aims at understanding why these sources are preferred and selected. Personal sources selection is conceptualized as the result of an evaluative process based on three criteria: the level of expertise attributed to the personal source, tie strength and the level of influence attributed to the source. An experimental design manipulating source expertise, source opinion leadership and tie strength was operated on 1141 dyads source/consumer in order to test research hypothesis. The results tend to show that consumers essentially select strong ties who score high in opinion leadership, and that attributed influence mediate the effects of tie strength and attributed expertise on personal sources selection. Moreover, the integration of moderators like enduring involvement and information need reveals that consumers make a trade-off between attributed expertise and tie strength to choose their personal sources

Testo completoEven though sexuality is at the heart of sex work, research has not yet focused on how sex workers experience it. It is therefore from ideological positions that different discourses argue about the moral, emotional and sexual consequences arising from the sale of sexual services, some maintaining that there is necessarily an alienation, others saying this is not the case. The aim of this study was to better understand, through testimonies from women offering or having offered escort services, how their experience of sexuality is constructed and organized. I thus individually met with 16 participants through two semi-directed interviews in order to explore the representations and the emotional experience they have regarding sexuality. The first interview focused on the perception and experience that the participants have regarding sexuality within the frame of paid sexual performances as well as during personal sexual relationships. The second interview gave space for an in-depth exploration of these themes through a discussion of their experience of eroticism in its genital and fusion aspects, of their feeling of femininity and, finally, of the way they interact in their daily life with men and women. Data analysis has been done using grounded theory methodology. The sample is mainly composed of women pursuing or accepting sexual pleasure during the paid performance of sexuality, while also including some participants who avoid feeling sexual pleasure in this circumstance. Participants from this sample chose, among different work possibilities that were offered to them, to engage themselves in the sex industry. Furthermore, most of them offer their services as independents, thus exerting more control over their work conditions than those working as employees. Results show that the emotional experience felt during a paid performance of sexuality is linked to the type of representations regarding sexuality that is being held by the sex worker. Those who pursue or accept sexual pleasure share a set of representations in which sexuality is perceived as holding the possibility of being healthy, nourishing and satisfying when expressed outside love relationships and within the frame of paid services. They believe in the legitimacy of their services and wish to bring wellness to the clients they encounter. Doing emotion work of “deep acting” (Hochschild, 1983) and creating a professional space of “bounded authenticity” (Bernstein, 2007), they put emphasis on the creation of an empathetic contact with the client, investing a part of themselves in this contact and feeling at ease regarding the increase in sexual arousal that is happening for the client as well as regarding the one that they are experiencing within themselves. As a result, they experience different types of pleasure from their work (regarding work well done; related to sexual performance; sexual pleasure) as well as a feeling of personal satisfaction and even of personal self-accomplishment through work. For their part, participants who avoid sexual pleasure share another set of representations in which sexuality is perceived as having to be expressed only within a love relationship in order to remain moral and normal. They engage themselves in sex work for its good income but, in order to maintain the significance of sexuality as an expression of the lovers' bond, they have to ensure that work sex is emptied of all similarities with private sex. The emotion work they perform is completely different from the first group. They do “surface acting” (Hochschild, 1983), playing a role in which they pretend to be sexually interested in the client while avoiding all sexual sensations as well as all emotional contact with him. They dissociate from the role but this distancing does not protect them from shame and disgust, and the encounter becomes stressful and displeasing. They therefore experience their work as being alienating even though it brings good income. In sum, this study identified two different sets of personal representations of sexuality and of sex work, these being linked to two different processes of emotion work which, in turn, lead to two different types of experiences regarding work, whether of pleasure and personal satisfaction or of displeasure and alienation.

Testo completoThe objective of this research is to explain the answers of the French consumers towards a request of personal data from the companies. The study of the literature and two exploratory studies make it possible to identify the factors influencing the behavior of the consumers towards such a request. We deduce a conceptual model aiming at exposing the decision-making process of the individual, since the exposure to the request until its answer, which is tested by an experimental methodology. The results validate the process of answer and show that the situational factors have a major influence, higher than the personal convictions. The effect of the privacy policy and of the quantity of required data is proven. The impact of the context in which information is requested and of the level of familiarity with the company is more delicate to apprehend

Testo completoVarious reports from major scientific organisations emphasise the negative consequences of climate change for society and the planet (IPCC, 2019, 2022). They also point to the need for major social change to deal with this issue. A great deal of work in social psychology therefore focuses on individual's motivation to participate in social change, and act pro-environmentally. This research often focuses on two variables: personal attitudes and perceived social norms (Ajzen, 1991; Klöckner, 2013). When studying these two factors, researchers have, for the most part, looked at their principal effects on pro-environmental behaviour. Recent studies show, however, that these two factors can also interact. Some of these studies show that the targeted behaviour appears most often when attitudes and social norms are congruent, and are both in favour of the behaviour (Acock & Defleur, 1972; Fife-Shaw et al., 2007). Conversely, others have shown that perceiving a mismatch between favourable attitudes, and perceived social norms that are less pro-environmental, can also motivate action (Deffuant et al., 2022; Khamzina et al., 2021, 2023). In this thesis, we seek to explain the effect of this mismatch on pro-environmental behaviour. Based on the theories of constructive deviance (Packer, 2008; Packer & Chasteen, 2010) and active minorities (Moscovici et al., 1969; Moscovici & Lage, 1976), we hypothesize that this mismatch effect on pro-environmental behaviour can be explained by individuals' willingness to change social norms. Six studies were conducted to gain a better understanding of this mismatch effect, and to see whether its direct positive effect is mediated by individuals' willingness to change group norms. The results tend to show, firstly, that there is no direct relationship between this mismatch perception and pro-environmental intentions or behaviour. Secondly, even if the results are mixed, they suggest that its indirect effect via the willingness to change norms could play a greater role in motivating pro-environmental behaviour. These results are discussed and compared with other studies to better understand the place of the mismatch perception in the scientific literature on behaviour change. This comparison gives a better understanding of the results and provides an answer as to the theoretical and applied usefulness of the model

Testo completoThe general goal of this thesis is the question of the consumer perceived value in the case of organic wine. More precisely, this dissertation try to answer three research questions: 1st what are the social and psychological determinants of willingness to pay for the organic attribute of a product; and 2nd how much the consumers are willing to pay for. Our main theoretical framework includes: 1st the planned behavior theory, 2nd the action phases theory, and 3th the personal value theory. Methodologically we have a classic hypothetico-deductive model approach. Our hypothesis were tested using multivariate statistics models and econometric models

As for the others, their opposition to progress would ensue from circumstancial or institutional factors

Testo completoOur research question resulted from acknowledging the existence of a state of tension, characterizing the consumer decision-making process for luxury brands. Many brand choices are driven by a desire from consumers to correlate their self perception, and personality, with that of the brand. However, in the specific field of luxury, it has been traditionally emphasized that motivations driving brand purchases are essentially ostentatious. We seek to explain how the motivation of consumers to establish an attachment relationship with a particular luxury brand is based on an integrative model, formed from the perception of a brand belonging to the luxury category and from the image congruence with a luxury brand. The perceived value of a luxury brand can also be influenced by individual psychological variables. Whilst some of them effectively distinguish consumers for all consumer goods, it seems they do not take into account all the particularities of the individuals’ relationship to the luxury dimension. We have developed the concept of “luxury sensitivity” to allow us to analyze the differences in consumer decision-making logic for luxury brands. The intensity of luxury sensitivity can provide us with the opportunity to understand the reasons why some consumers will choose a luxury brand that resembles them and others a brand that especially symbolizes luxury

Testo completoIn at attempt to help managers make the decision between unification and personalization of their products/services in an international context, this research studies and compares the purchase decision-making styles of French and Vietnamese consumers in the context of audiovisual product purchase, and examines the influence of time style and perceived purchase self-efficacy on the consumer's decision-making style. This research aims at three objectives : to compare the French and Vietnamese consumers regarding their purchase decision-making styles, their time styles and their perceived purchase self-efficacy ; to study the influence of the consumer's time style and perceived purchase self-efficacy on their decision-making style ; and finally to identify groups of consumers according to the characteristics of their purchase decision-making styles, and to qualify the time style and the perceived purchase self-efficacy of each of the identified groups. One survey was conducted on a sample of 579 French and 600 Vietnamese consumers. The results point out that there is a strong difference between the French and Vietnamese consumers on their decision-making styles, their time styles and their perceived purchase self-efficacy. A significant influence was found in both cultures between the dimensions of time style, especially the present orientation, the future orientation, the economic time and the future anxiety, and of perceived purchase self-efficacy on the characteristics of decision-making styles. The segmentation showed some segments of consumers whose decision-making style is specific for each culture. Finally, theoretical contributions, managerial implications of this research, and some directions for future research were discussed

Testo completoIncreasing attention is being given by researchers, practitioners and stakeholders to issues raised by consumers’ financial and budgetary behavior. Models of behavior change can help develop messages and adapted approaches in this area. This research shows that strategies of change used by the consumer are basically approach and avoidance strategies and proposes a model defining the role of decisional balance in using of these strategies. The model also includes individual variables such as attitude towards money and anxiety level that may have influenced the adoption of these strategies. This model is applied to groups of consumers in similar situations in the trajectory of change. The dimensions of the transtheoretical model of change (precontemplation, contemplation, action, maintenance) has been used to obtain these groups. The results also show effects of consumer's paratelic orientation. Theoretical contributions mainly explain the adoption of approach-avoidance strategies of financial behavior change. Managerial contributions correspond to actions to promote change by considering several variables of segmentation in particular the position of consumers on their trajectory of change

Testo completoIn product marketing, aesthetic attributes are often regarded as buying factors. Packaging design shows how difficult it is to measure such attributes. The aim of this research is to develop two new measuring scales: the consumer's aesthetic attitude (c. A. A. ) and its independent variable, "personal aesthetic sensitivity" (p. A. S. ). The first concept - the consumer's aesthetic attitude - is based on three main theoretical dimensions: aesthetic evaluation, mental imagery and the emotional reactions resulting from the product design stimuli. The second concept - "personal aesthetic sensitivity" - is rooted in a qualitative approach: a thematic content analysis and a Jungian interpretative frame justify p. A. S. Dimensions. The quantitative results reveal several aesthetic types. For both c. A. A. And p. A. S. Concepts, a two-way validation is applied: principal component analysis and structural equations. Book cover design is used as the main validation field. These two measuring scales of the aesthetic experience can be applied to market study as well as marketing research

Testo completoTo be perceived as believable partners in human-machine interactions, virtual agents have to express adequate social attitudes. The social attitude expressed by an agent should reflect the social situation of the interaction. The agent ought to take into account its role and its social relation toward its interactants when deciding how to react in the interaction. To build such an agent able to reason about its role and relation and to adapt its social attitude, we built a model of social decision making. First, we formalized the dynamics of the social relation through a combination of goals and beliefs. Then, we designed a decision making model based on the social goals and the situational goals of the agent. Finally, we conducted an empirical study in the context of virtual tutor-child interaction where participants evaluated the tutor’s perceived social attitude towards the child while the tutor’s social role and relation were manipulated by our model. Results showed that both role and social relation have an influence on the agent’s perceived social attitude

Testo completoThis research aims to answer the following questions : how do employers represent to themselves the object "employee's fidelity to the firm" and what kind of convergences and divergences can one underline with a worker's population ? In order to answer these questions, several iterations between theory and practice were necessary. In spite of the stakes which the fidelity of employees represent for the company, some paradoxes appear. The employee sees himself, but is also seen, like employable and could be tempted to adopt a wandering behaviour. After having studied authors in finance, social law and marketing which frequently use the concept of fidelity, a definition of fidelity is suggested. Its polymorphism engages to study it under the angle of social representations. Assumptions as for certain dimensions of the representation of the employeee's fidelity are then put forth. They result from the literature as well as from a first qualitative phase and place confidence and engagement at the core of the representation. In order to test the assumptions in the second phase of research, several methods of collection of data were necessary : study of internal secondary data from two metallurgical industries and distribution of a questionnaire near their worker's population. In fine, the representations of the employers can be interpreted according to two types of relations between employers and employees : a transactional relation and a "relational " relation. It is then in the balance between these two kinds of relations that fidelity lasts beyond the rupture of the employment contract, in particular thanks to the reciprocal relation of confidence. With regard to the convergences and divergences between employers and workers, the principal convergence is due to the core of the representation : confidence characterizes the behaviour of fidelity. Divergences are noted in terms of tools likely to support the fidelity of the workers (for instance : wage) but also regards their fidelity behaviour

All the university students cross in a period of adjustment that well can culminate in an appropriate way, or in desertion motivated by the academic difficulties or by the inability to adapt to the context. he university students can have major trend to this type of disorders that the majority of the population for the age and the external factors which they face, although many students do not face only the academic load, but also they enter to the labour market or establish a family, being constituted in an important problem because to the psychological discomfort one adds the low yield, the loss and repetition of the semesters or academic years and desertion of the programs, besides the high costs for the families. This implies that in the particular case of the students, nowadays not only one speaks about the psychological discomforts that they can present and his possible consequences, but even of certain characteristics that on having been present, can promote his mental health, for example, Arriola (2002) raises that " in the relating thing to the sphere of personality it is important that the pupils have a locus of internal control, a discharge autoestimates and puntajes minimums of depressive symptoms. As for the part of the personality, it is important that the students had a mechanism of internal control, a car estimates importantly, and the minimum of symptoms of depression. For this reason before the high possibilities of repitencia or student desertion corresponds to the teachers and executives to know and to describe the mental positive health that the university students possess, to turn it into an element that reinforces the existing programs, where the prevention prevails mas that the concept of disease and realizes a contribution to the process of adjustment and suitable utilization of the students in his step along the university. Testo completoContext: Management of breech remains complex due to divergence of practices and recommendations reported in the literature. Objective: To highlight the effects of health professionals' interventions on women's experiences. Methods: Five research studies qualitative were conducted at the University Hospitals of Geneva, including a total of 311 participants. Two studies used a method with interviews and thematic analysis, two used a quantitative method with a statistical analysis, and one used a mixed methods' design. Results: Breech diagnosis often requires anticipating a disappointment of an idealized childbirth. Women demonstrate a strong motivation to try to turn their fetus. 69% of women use complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) for their treatment. 68% of participants qualified external cephalic version (ECV) as "strong to unbearable". An accompaniment by a hypnotist compared to a midwife did not decrease pain intensity (visual analogic scale: 6.0 vs 6.3/10, respectively; p=.25). For the choice of breech delivery mode, women reported strong decisional conflicts. Medical information is often perceived in favour of a planned caesarean. Feelings of control, emotions and the first moments with the newborn are perceived differently and, notably, negatively in the case of emergency ceasarean section. Conclusion: A difficult emotional and decision-making process is associated with term breech. Use of CAM should be considered by professionals. Developing tools to assist women, and relationship techniques for professionals could facilitate these processes. Reduction of pain during ECV is necessary

Testo completoOn the 13th February 1991, a colloquium about the « Vietnamese topicality » isorganized at the French Senate. When Georges Boudarel, an academic at Paris VII University and a Vietnam specialist starts to speak, he is immediately interrupted by Jean-Jacques Beucher, former Secretary of State for the Veterans and who is also a former French prisoner of the Indo-China War. The latter wants to confound him for his role as a political commissioner in the Viet-Minh camps. This is the beginning of the Boudarel case confronting former prisoners to Georges Boudarel during long months, and who is now the incarnation of the communist ideology. The sufferings of a community of Indo-China War veterans longing for gratitude are hidden behind the political dimension of this case. The situation compelled this memorial group to organize themselves and to build up strategies in order to get gratitude from the public opinion. This “subterranean” memory is going to face history in a zone of memorial tension, in which each one thrives on each other. The pragmatic sociology thanks to its followed approach of the actors allowed us to see the evolution of this space and how the actors witnesses took over it.In their strategies, the actors- witnesses saw the advantages they could take of the use of Internet. Indeed, it allows a visibility which was impossible with the usual Medias. However, this new order may have repercussions on the historical discipline, especially concerning the traces generated by the actors-witnesses and their perpetuation. It turns out that the writing of history of different contemporary events could be modified

Testo completoPeople are often reminded that influential external entities are by their side while they pursue important personal goals. In the context of reduced personal control, feeling their presence compensate for the realization of one’s own limitations when it comes to producing desired outcomes and avoiding undesired ones. Such reminders make people feel confident that there is structure and order in the world and help them cope with the anxiety inducing fear of randomness and chaos. In other words, when people feel that they do not have control over the pursuit of a goal, perceiving that overall “things are under control” because of the intervention of external agents promote the belief that actions and outcomes are interconnected. Just as religion often reminds believers that a deity is by their side, brands often explicitly remind their customers of their presence for goals they are pursuing. However, one may question the relevance of such a tactic. Prior work has provided extensive evidence showing that promoting influential external agents was detrimental to individuals’ willingness to take goal-directed actions (e.g., reactance and social loafing). In this dissertation, we examine this contradiction. We propose and test a theoretical reconciliation based on three researches. In doing so, we develop the notion of functional homology between religion and brand by arguing and demonstrating that both an interventionist deity and an interventionist brand serve the basic need for order and structure when people deal with a control threat. We further discuss the limitations of this work, directions for further research and the implications for marketing practice

Testo completoConsumer wants, through his or her consumption, to eliminate any negative effects and maximize the long-term beneficial impact on the society. This type of consume is known as socially responsible consumption. There exist a large body of literature on this concept in Western countries, but relatively few studies focused on countries in Asia in general and Vietnam in particular. This doctoral has two main aims. The first aim was to build a socially responsible consumption scale in the context of Vietnam. The second one was to propose and validate a consumer decision-making model regarding socially responsible consumption in a perspective of values in which cultural orientations, human values, perceived consumer effectiveness and perceived value directly and indirectly influence on consumer behavior. Our thesis highlights a socially responsible consumption structure in five facets: social orientation, ethical orientation, environmental awareness, local consumption and anxiety of economy with three Vietnamese typical behaviors. Modeling structural equations allows to partially validating the proposed model. Indeed, the vertical collectivism indirectly influences the socially responsible consumption via social-oriented values that are themselves directly influence the socially responsible consumption and indirectly influences the latter, via the perceived consumer effectiveness and perceived value. However, the consumer decision process is not the same between the two socially responsible consumer studied facets

It raises the question of the self-directed learning’s power in this type of training situation. The human teaching mediation and the technological mediatization are both in the center of the concerns. This research is an approach, through the design even of instruments of investigation, to the concepts :control, autodirection, autonomy, effectiveness, competence, self-determination in relation with the engagement. Competences and readiness scales related to the adults’ self-training are also observed. One proposes to observe motivational directions and the engagement’s reasons in relation with the perception of oneself as self-directed learners in a context of self-training. Our reflections also relate to the concept of Alterdidacticism in opposition to the self-educated steps, to the Autodidacticism in a context of adults’ self-training.

Testo completoThe practice of an aesthetic sport is considered by some to be a risk factor for the adoption of inappropriate eating behaviors and attitudes towards food and body image (IEBA) and ultimately the development of an eating disorder (ED). However, the current literature on this issue reports conflicting results. In addition, some methodological flaws related to sample heterogeneity limit the interpretative scope of these results. To overcome the current limitations of the literature, the goal of this thesis is to explore the problematic of eating disorders in young elite athletes in aesthetic sport. To do this, a homogeneous sample of 145 adolescents aged between 12 and 19 years was recruited; 52 high level athletes and 93 non-athletes. The sports represented are figure skating, synchronized swimming and ballet. From this sample, two studies were conducted. The objective of the first study was to compare the intensity of IEBA and the prevalence of ED using the Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDE-Q) and the Eating Disorder Inventory-3 (EDI-3). The results indicate that there is no significant difference between the groups in regard to the intensity of IEBA and the prevalence of ED. The second study consisted of two goals. First, compare personal characteristics of the two groups. Selected personal characteristics are body image disatisfaction (BID), normative eating self-efficacy NESE), body image self-efficacy (BISE), perfectionism (P), asceticism (As), emotionnal dysregulation (EMD) and interoceptive deficit (ID). The second exploratory objective of this study was to describe and compare the personal characteristics that are associated with IEBA in each group. To achieve these objectives, two other questionnaires were used; the Eating Disorder Recovery Self-efficacy Questionnaire-f (EDRSQ-f) and the Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ). The analysis indicated that the athletes of the sample have lower levels of NESE and EMD. Once age and body mass index are controlled, the results also showed that the NESE and the BID contribute to the prediction of IEBA (e.s. drive for thinness) in each group. The NESE has also been associated in both groups to the intensity of bulimic symptoms. However, the models differ in the main predictor variables. Among the athletes sample, the intensity of bulimic behaviors was associated with EMD while it was more related to ID in the non athlete group. Finally, in addition to discussing and comparing all these results with the current literature, the distinctive contributions of the thesis and the main limitations of the studies were discussed. Ideas to guide future research and practical clinical implications are also proposed.

Rewarding Payment and Work Attitudes of Personnels in the National Tax Administration Student:Shin-Pong Gou Advisor : Tong-Yi Huang , Ph. D. Feng Chia University Graduate Institute of Public Policy Thesis Abstract The purpose of this research is to understand the relationship between rewarding payment and work attitudes of personnels in the National Tax Administrations. It also studies how to encourage the national tax officers and enhance their work attitudes. This research treats rewarding payment as independent variables; and job involvement, job satisfaction, and turnover intention as dependent variables. The extraneous variables are: sex, age, educational level, job level, and working experience. We sent 850 questionnaires by stratified random sampling to the national tax officers, and 543 copies were recollected. By using statistic method to analysis those factors mentioned above, we have following findings: 1)The job involvement and job satisfaction of the national tax officers would be effected by the rewarding payment; however, the payment would influence the intention to change job. 2)The outside satisfaction of male staff is higher than female staff; nevertheless, the rate of resignation of female staff is higher than male staff. 3)The working performance will be influenced by sex, age, the years of service, level and places but is free from education. 4)40 years old is the turning point of job transition. 5)Staffs who have working experience of 4-10 years would have the highest tendency to chang their jobs. 6)Rewarding payment would improve job satisfaction as well as job involvement, and also affect the intention to change job. 7) Financial encouraging method improves more job involvement than non-financial method. The suggestions would be: 1)A reasonable and alternative promoting system is needed. 2)More feedback to staff performance. 3)A plan to keep good staff. 4)To improve job satisfaction, the staff with high education and position should be given more challenging task. 5)Strengthen staffs’ warm feeling to the job to reduce the turnover rate.

In an information era of new knowledge-based economy, how should the traditional medical industry respond? Do medical professionals have any awareness of knowledge management? If yes, what is their attitude towards knowledge? What are the features? Based on the infusion methodology of knowledge management, if a hospital seeks to adopt an information system for knowledge management (KM), the hospital will have to go through the process of integrating the strategy, the process, the information technology and the awareness of the people and the organization. Subjects of this study were medical professionals, and Arthur Andersen’s knowledge management model was taken as reference. The structure of the study is divided into two sections, i.e. “employees’ awareness of knowledge management” and “employees’ awareness of the hospital’s knowledge management”. In the former section, factor analysis reveals that medical professionals tend to view knowledge management as the planning and integration of personal knowledge management. Medical professionals recognize that knowledge is an important personal asset, and some inexpressible tacit knowledge still exists in one’s knowledge that needs to be valued. Furthermore, they also believe that in order to increase the value of knowledge assets, it is necessary to share knowledge. In the latter section, factor analysis reveals that medical professionals recognize that a hospital should have a properly planned process to gain knowledge and should create an innovative and practical environment to accumulate knowledge-based assets for the hospital. As for personal property, in the section of “employees’ awareness of knowledge management”, the study manifests obvious difference on the variables of personal property which includes scale of hospital, age, gender, working years, educational background, type of work and management post. On the other hand, the study shows that in the section of “employees’ awareness of the hospitals’ knowledge management”, there is obvious difference on the variables of personal property including scale of hospital, age, working year, educational background while the property of the gender, type of work and management post remain relatively the same. Moreover, the study also shows that if employees are more satisfied with the self-awareness of knowledge management, they are more likely to agree with every dimensions of the knowledge management of the hospital they work in. On the other hand, if all dimensions of the hospital’s knowledge management are recognized by the employees, the variable of the self-awareness of knowledge management reflected on the employees will also be positive. This demonstrates that the demand of employee’s personal awareness will be influenced by the working environment, and vice versa. Outstanding employees will affect the operation performance of the hospital. Similarly, a properly managed hospital will enhance the performance of the employees. It is apparent that the two are related to each other from the feature analysis of the study. Thus, if the hospital can invest in improving the structure of the knowledge assets of the hospital and enhance education and propagation, any improvement of the ability of knowledge management of either employers or employees will definitely benefit the other party. In regards to the four elements including the promotion of knowledge management, high-level leadership enterprise culture, information technology and measurement indicators, the canonical correlation analysis and the regression analysis show that the four elements have been highly approved by the medical professionals. In terms of high-level leadership, the establishment of the Chief Knowledge Office (CKO) has been applauded by the employees. At the meantime, the employees’ ability of using computers and the willingness of sharing information have been greatly influenced by the culture of the enterprise. As for information technology, the information reveals the close relationship between the employees’ ability of using computer and the result of the hospital performance of using the information technology. For measurement indicators, in order to make medical professionals recognize the introduction of knowledge management, performance evaluation of all phases of the introduction of knowledge management should be properly conducted. It is recommended by the study to adopt the theory of the balanced scorecard to be the measurement indicators for evaluation the practical performance of the three components of knowledge assets because the framework of both theories are quite similar. Furthermore, the study reveals that employees who have worked longer and who are older will be more likely to recogize the management of knowledge self-supervision and are more willing to share their knowledge. Apparently, when a hospital tries to introduce knowledge management to the employees, it will be more efficient and more effective if the hospital can make full use of the participation of senior employees.

The turmoil of global economy makes companies face a high degree of external uncertainty; therefore, high-tech industry needs to maintain their competitive advantage through enhancing R&D professional’s competence of product development and technology upgrading. Organizations expect that R&D personnel obtain required skill and ability from training and convert those skills into valid output; however, the issue regarding transfer of training has existed. To clearly analyze transfer of training, this study applies the perspective of planned behavior theory to the training transfer context. This study proposes that transfer intention is a significant predictor of training transfer, and transfer intention is also affected by training attitude and peer support. Therefore, the study proposes transfer intention to be a mediating variable in the relationship of training attitude, peer support, and transfer of training. The sample of the study were the R&D personnel in high-tech industry, and data were collected through the paired questionnaires with one-employee and one -colleague. A total 500 questionnaires were distributed. The number of valid questionnaires are 284. The valid return rate is 56.8%. Through the analysis of structural equation modeling, the results are as follows: 1. Training attitude has a positive effect on transfer intention. 2. Peer support has a positive effect on transfer intention. 3. Transfer intention has a positive effect on transfer of training. 4. Training attitude has a positive effect on transfer of training. 5. Peer support has a positive effect on transfer of training. 6. Transfer intention has a mediating effect in the relationship of training attitude and transfer of training. 7. Transfer intention has a mediating effect in the relationship of peer support and transfer of training.

Testo completoAs training and development programs have become one of the most essential elements for organizations, the question rises of what influences training effectiveness. Recently training motivation has been considered as the key determinant. Thus, the objectives of this particular study were to examine if training motivation correlates well with its antecedents and its outcomes as well as to see if training motivation plays a mediator role in predicting the outcomes of training. Three pre-training variables were chosen for this study: general attitude toward training, training self-efficacy, and career planning. Immediate trainees’ reactions were chosen as a post-training variable. A total of 152 employees from a large Quebecois company participated in the present study by filling out one questionnaire before training and one after. The results of this study evidenced that training motivation can be predicted from general attitude toward training, training self-efficacy and career planning. Moreover, training motivation was shown to be the best predictor of trainees’ reactions. Our results also showed that training motivation fully mediates the relationship between training self-efficacy and trainees’ reactions and partially mediates the relationship between general attitude toward training and trainees’ reactions, but only partially. Mediation effect of training motivation was not found between career planning and trainees’ reactions. Additionally, this study discovered that new employees differ from permanent staff in their pre-training attitudes and post-training reactions. The outcomes of the present study are discussed, some theoretical implications are commented and practical implications for the companies are suggested.

Economic and technology has prolonged life expectancy and had become an aged society. Study shows that Medical specialization is not enough for people at present due to the increase of the complexity of the disease of elderly patients, instead, with a patient centered medicare service system we call it Holistic Health Care. This study aimed to investigate the association of medical personnel among attitude, cognition and behavior in a regional teaching hospital of Yun-Lin County. The Questionnaire is designed with different perspectives, and the questionnaire was based on 375 valid samples collected from 2016/5/2 to 5/13, the effective response rate was 96.89%. First, the study appeared a significant association between “department” and “holistic health care training”, secondly, it displayed a significant association between “department”, ”education level” and “holistic health care training”, finally it displayed a significant association between “status” ,“career“, “department” and “holistic health care training” Medical personnel have an ambiguity in definition of Holistic Health Care. According to the results of the item “ have attended the training for holistic health care” , we found the numbers of personnel who are unsure if they have attended the training is more than who have done the training. Besides, many Medical personnel heard about “Holistic Health Care” for the first time, not even know about the whole concept. Related on-job training is highly recommended. The regional hospital has positive response to the issue of Holistic Health Care. Medical personnel have a higher degree in cognition and attitude toward holistic health care. Nevertheless, they have lower degree in behavior because of “labor shortage” and “difference in departments”. According to the multiple regression analysis, cognition and attitude are positively correlated, cognition and behavior are positively correlated, and attitude and behavior are positively correlated as well. The study shows that physician and nurses’ degree of implementing care behavior is higher than supporting medical personnel. The result could be used as references of in-service education and policy making.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the knowledge and attitude of the residents and the related medical personnels toward the concepts about the dispensing system and their influencial factors. The study consisted of two parts. 500 physicians and 600 pharmacists using stratified random sampling method were surveyed through the help of registry of the associations of physicians and pharmacists in the first part. We investigated the physicians'' and the pharmacists'' knowledge and attitudes toward the concepts about the dispensing system were invegisted by mail questionnaire. In the second part, 1200 residents in Taiwan area and 500 residents in Kaohsiung city were interviewed by trained interviewers. The statistical methods we used included descriptive statistics, correlation, t-test, kai-square test, one-way ANOVA, multiple regression, logistic regression and factor analysis. The response rate for the questionnaired survey was 41.75% in the residents of Taiwan, 95.6% in Kaohsiung city; 34% for physicians; and 33% for pharmacists. We found that pharmacists have the highest knowledge score toward dispensing system among the redidents and related medical personnels, the second was the residents, and the physicians was the lowest. The attitude toward the dispensing system revealed the same degree among the residents, pharmacists, and physicians. Factors influenced the knowledge of the residents toward the dispensing system included their education, whether they were told theconcepts about the medicine by their physicians, their reactions when they faced the drug side effect, their opinions about their right of the medicine, and whether they were confused that they didn''t know what department of physicians they should consult. As for the physicians, factors influenced their knowledge included their age, how many years they have graduated from schools, their work site (hospital or clinic; town, suburb, or city). Factors influced pharmacists knowledge include sex, educational level, work site (hospital or pharmacy) and opinions about the rights of knowledge toward the medicine of patients have been found to be related to the knowledge toward dispensing system. The educational level and opinions about the right of medicine, no matter what the residents in the community had heard the concepts about dispensing system have been found associated with the attitude toward dispensing system. Factors related to the physician''s attitude included scores obtained from the knowledged about the dispensing system have been revealed highly related to phyisician''s attitude. As for pharmacists, factors related to attitude included sex, the score of knowledge about the dispensing system, how many years they have graduated from school, and their opinions about the rights of knowledge about the medicine of patients. In addition to the demographic factors, the propaganda about the patients'' knowledge toward medicine and dispensing system have been found significantly related to residents, physicians, and pharmacists'' support to the dispensing system.

Testo completoThis experimental study investigates simultaneously the independent and interactive effect of two types of modeling and three goal orientations on a series of training outcomes (cognitive, affective, and behavioural). 275 trainees enrolled in a corporate training program have participated to this study. Trainees were randomly distributed in two different conditions showing either a positive or a mixed model display. Participant’s goal orientation (learning, proving, avoiding) were measured prior to experimentation using the Goal Orientation Scale developed by VandeWalle (1997). Regarding cognitive outcomes, results show that trainees who were avoidance oriented, perceived more positively the utility of the training content when exposed to a positive model display. Concerning affective outcomes, results show that trainees who were performance oriented, perceived a higher level of self-efficacy following training when exposed to a positive model display. In the case of behavior reproduction, results show that trainees, who were learning mastery oriented, were more likely to reproduce behaviours subjects to training better when exposed to a mixed model display. Theoretical and practical implications for future behavior modeling training research are discussed.

The army follows the government’s policy of organization reformation to promote the military downsizing – a reengineering of the army organization. The demand of organizational delayering and the spirits of the reproduction of improved organization are to be expected for promoting the training effect of the whole army and strengthening the fighting capacity. However, by reviewing the researches about the organizational downsizing and mergence, we found that personnel were suffered from the pressure of uncertainty, anxiety, and even the crisis of facing separation from service or unemployment, and thus influenced the working performance. When considering about how to eliminate the negative effects caused by the organizational reformation, we study on the relativity of organizational downsizing and the working attitude of personnel remaining in office, and also on the working performance influenced by their working attitude. With these studies, we hope to find the possible mechanism to ensure the personnel’s working performance, and therefore strengthen and promote the fighting capacity of the armed forces as a reference of future planning. This research takes the military and hired personnel under the influence of organizational downsizing – the mergence of the Army military schools as learning target. We conduct the data collection and statistical analysis with the method of verified research – the quantized questionnaire survey. The research results show that: 1. In the discussion of the relationship of the personnel’s working attitude and working performance to the reason of organizational downsizing of the Army military schools, it shows that “the demand of national defense’s policy” is the most important factor. For increasing the efficiency of the organization and the working performance of the personnel, we should adjust the flow of operation and the responsibility of each position to delayering the organization during the process of the organizational downsizing. 2. In the discussion of relationship of the personnel’s working attitude and working performance to the reason of organizational downsizing of the Army military schools, the high-ranking offices lay their emphasis on the mergence of the Army military schools among the reasons of the organizational downsizing. They generally think that it is very hard to preserve their profession and thus affect the working performance. However, some reasons, such as promotion, salary for life, and premium pay, will still push them to work harder. 3. In the discussion of relationship of the personnel’s working attitude and working performance to the reason of organizational downsizing of the Army military schools, being transferred to other military departments is the result that the personnel of the schools hope the most. It is because that all the military personnel are looking forward to a stable working opportunity and receive a salary for life, keeping working in the military is definitely a expected result for those working in the three schools previously. 4. In the discussion of the relationship between working attitude and working performance to the personnel profile, elder personnel with a seniority of more years and an educational background of military academy will have a better performance and show a lower tendency to quit their job; in contrast, younger personnel with a seniority of fewer years show a higher tendency to quit their job. However, since the salary and benefit in the military are generally better than those outside, the tendency will be decreased. Also, the tendency is related to the economic environment and the working competition.
