3 segregated groups of Arab and Jewish deaf children of CA 10;9 ( n = 28) were compared with a group of hearing Arab first graders (CA = 6;10, n = 32) on tests of basic arithmetic, static balance control, and the ability to suppress synkinetic finger movements. The hearing-impaired performed as well on arithmetic tasks and on the tests of synkinetic control as their normal peers who were four years younger, while on static balance they were even inferior to the latter. Significant correlations were found between the basic airthmetic and motor skills, within the hearing as well as within the hearing-impaired groups; these remained significant even within the small subgroups of the latter. As these results cannot be accounted for by low intelligence and neurological disturbances, or by direct or indirect effects of deficient language development, the assumption is supported that some type of neurological immaturity, unrelated to hearing loss, interferes with the acquisition of numerical skills in deaf children.

Water quality index (WQI) is a unique value indicator used to assess overall water quality in a single term. [1]This study aims to assess the water quality of Shatt al Arab (south of Iraq) for drinking purposes for the period 2014-2018 using the weighted arithmetic WQIR method. Samples were taken from five monitoring stations on Shatt al Arab and fourteen physical and chemical parameters were analyzed. Spatial analyses were done using the Geographic Information System (GIS) to map the water quality index results. More river parts were found to be between good and poor qualities in 2014 whereas all of them were unsuitable for drinking in 2017 and 2018

This study aimed to determine the level of students’ test wiseness during remote learning. The study sample included (391) students from Amman Arab University. A scale consisting of (28) items was deployed to the participants after assuring its validity and reliability. The results showed a high level of students’ test wiseness. Moreover, there were no statistically significant differences at ( α = 0.05 ) between the arithmetic means of the total degree of test wiseness attributed to the study variables, while there were statistically significant differences at ( α = 0.05 ) between the means of the dimension “Using of Time” on favor of male students. In addition, the findings elucidated that there were statistically significant differences at ( α = 0.05 ) between the arithmetic means of the dimension “Avoidance of Error” attributed to faculty in favor of the humanities faculties. Finally, the results showed statistically significant differences at ( α = 0.05 ) between the arithmetic means of the dimension “Deductive Thinking” attributed to the academic program in favor of master and bachelor students.

The purpose of this study was to identify the influence of delegation of authority and administrative control on the effectiveness of managerial decisions in the Arab Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company Limited in Al-Salt city in Jordan taking into account the demographic factors: gender, age, years of experience, educational qualifications, and job position. Data were collected through survey questionnaires, which were distributed among the sample of the study. The researchers used a census-style for collecting data from the population of the study which consisted of (286) employees in the Arab Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company Limited in Al-Salt city. The (252) questionnaires that were distributed amongst the study sample were valid for statistical analysis. The researchers used many statistical methods, including; frequencies, percentages, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, simple and multiple regression. The results indicated that there was a statistically significant impact of the delegation of authority and administrative control on the effectiveness of management officials’ administrative decisions of the Arab Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Company in Al-Salt city.

The current study aimed to reveal the impact of the Arab Spring on the concept of political participation among Jordanian university students (Isra University as a model), with different variables (gender, age, and school year), the researchers used the descriptive analytical approach, as a questionnaire was developed for this purpose after reviewing the theoretical literature in this field, and it was applied on a sample of (192) male and female students from Al-Isra University in the second semester of the academic year 2019. By using appropriate statistical analyzes, the results of the study revealed that the effect of the Arab Spring on the concept of political participation among Jordanian university students came with an average degree, as the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences for the impact of the Arab Spring on the concept of political participation among Jordanian university students due to gender and age variables, while a statistically significant difference was observed between the arithmetic averages of the effect of the Arab Spring on the concept of political participation among Jordanian university students due to the variable of the school year in favor of the first, second and third years when compared to the fourth and fifth years.

The main objective of this article is to determine the validity of the proposed system for measuring strategic performance (MSP Unis) in Arab universities at the level of its three Perspectives; performance measurement, measurement processes, and measurement potentials. However, most of the Arab universities face difficulties in the measurement of their strategic performance due to cost and the lack of human resources specialists in that field. The study was conducted through a questionnaire consisting of 38 items distributed on a sample of 116 experts working in the field of strategic planning in universities registered in the Association of Arab Universities. So, by the use of factor analysis, the results disclosed a very high degree of correlation between the paragraphs and the three dimensions that make up the system. The results of the statistical analysis demonstrated the validity of the proposed strategic performance measurement system for use in measuring the strategic performance of Arab universities from the viewpoint of respondents with a very high arithmetic average amounted 4.30, and a very high approval rate for the content of the paragraphs reaching to 86%. Accordingly, the current study is consistent with the previous studies. The research recommendations obviously have been concluded as (a) An implementation of the suggested system (MSP Unis) in Arab universities and supporting its implementation’s potentials. (b) A Benefiting from the results of the factor analysis in implementation plans on the level of its three Perspectives. (c) Developing training programs to consolidate the proposed MSP Unis. (d) Enabling strategic planning departments to implement the proposed MSP Unis.

The study aims to determine the factors affecting the low academic achievement of secondary school students in Jordan, which was imposed by the Corona pandemic, and provides ways to address it. It examines the differences in results according to many variables of study. In order to achieve the objectives, two research's tools were conducted. The first method is the questionnaire and the second one is interviews. The methods stratified randomness distributed to 263 teachers and second grade secondary students in Irbid schools. The results of the study showed that the degree of the total arithmetic averages from teacher's point of view is medium. Study shoes also, that the arithmetic averages in the perspective of secondary school, according to student’s degree is also medium. The analysis of the study shows that there is a difference from the point of view of teachers related to the impact of sex in favor of males, and no difference is related to experience. The difference from student's views is related to the impact of sex in favor of males and no difference is related specialization. Both teachers and students agree that there must be communication between the school and the local community. In order to achieve the online learning.

The present study aims to identify the most significant roles of the invisible web in improving academic research and the main obstacles and challenges facing the use of the invisible web in improving academic research from the perspective of academics in Saudi universities. The descriptive analytical approach was utilized in this study. It covered all faculty members in Saudi universities. It applied a 20-paragraph questionnaire to a randomly selected sample of 168 academics. It concluded that the participants agreed on the role of the invisible web in improving academic research, with an arithmetic means of 3.91. They also agreed on the obstacles of using invisible web for the improvement of academic research, with an arithmetic means of 4.107. The study provides ideas that would develop the use of the invisible web in higher education institutions in Saudi Arabia, in particular, and the Arab countries, in general. Furthermore, it is hoped that such results may provide decision-makers, educational designers and programmers with solutions for the development of research engines and academic databases in Arabic.

With the increasing refugee crisis worldwide, a great promise lies in the 2030 agenda to help ‘leave no one behind.’ This article aims to take stock of implementing the 2030 Agenda in the refugee camps of the Arab Middle East based on empirical data from Syrian refugees and Iraqi IDPs collected using a questionnaire distributed in Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon. SDGs’ indices were calculated using arithmetic mean and principal component analysis methods. Our study finds that the progress toward achieving the SDGs is diverse in three locations, mainly due to the policy applied in the host country. The respondents in Iraq ranked the best at social and economic sustainability, Jordan ranked the best at environmental sustainability, and Lebanon was the furthest left behind in the three dimensions. SDG7 has a high performance, but accelerating the progress toward achieving the remaining SDGs is essential. Without the substantial efforts of all stakeholders, the 2030 agenda will not be accomplished.

This research is empirical research, meaning research that is conducted through a scientific method based on two sets of variables. Using YOUTUBE (x) in teaching Arabic (y) for the intensive class in Islamic boarding school, Padang Panjang. As for the quantitative approach, it is the approach that uses realistic, objective, measured, logical, and organized scientific bases on the existence of numbers and analyzes them using the statistical method. The result of the research is the use of YOUTUBE in intensive Arabic language teaching in the Islamic boarding school of Padang Panjang in the experimental class, with a grade of very good. As for the results of the pre-test in the experimental class, they are with an average value of 64,45. And the results of the test The dimensionality in the experimental class has an average value of 83.7. The t-arithmetic is 2.701 higher than the t-table is 2.110. Then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, so the conclusion is that there is an effective YOUTUBE use and raises the result of intensive Arabic language education in Islamic boarding school (Islamic boarding school Padang Panjang).

From the eighth century, Muslims developed not only their knowledge in the field of theology, but also astronomy, mathematics, chemistry, medicine and other sciences. It is in the nature of Islam to encourage understanding and knowledge, research and study of nature. The text wants to show that the foundations of the Islamic scientific tradition existed even before the introduction of the Greek tradition, that is, that the golden age of Islamic science began with Abdel al-Malik, a century and a half before the creation of Bayt al-Hikma in Baghdad in the 9th century. For almost an entire millennium, the scientists of the Islamic civilization not only studied and analyzed the Greek (and other) sciences, but also added to them many completely new concepts that were unknown to their predecessors. The Crusades and the Mongol invasion influenced the circumstances in which Islamic science developed.The slow introduction of printing technology contributed to the slowdown of scientific development, as did the cessation of the use of the Arabic language as a scientific lingua francae. It is important to point out that Europe in the 12th century paid great attention to Islamic works on astronomy, arithmetic, trigonometry, optics, geometry, astrology and medicine (Mushtaq 1990). The proposed narrative therefore tells us that the science that began with the Greeks came to the Arabs and Muslims where it was accepted, assimilated and rearranged. It was then transferred to Europe over the centuries, where it ultimately contributed significantly to the industrial revolution.

Achieving fluency in arithmetic operations is vital if students are to develop mathematical creativity and critical thinking abilities. Nevertheless, a substantial body of literature has demonstrated that students are struggling to develop such skills, due to the absence of appropriate instructional support or motivation. A proposed solution to tackle this problem is the rapid evolution and widespread integration of educational technology into the modern school system. To be precise, the Learning Management System (LMS) has been found to be particularly useful in the instructional process, especially where matters related to personalised and self-regulated learning are concerned. In the present work, we explored the aforementioned topics in the context of a longitudinal study in which 720 primary education students (4th–6th grade), from United Arab Emirates (UAE), utilised an LMS, at least once per week, for one school year (nine months). The findings revealed that the vast majority (97% of the 6th graders, 83% of the 4th graders, and 76% of the 5th graders) demonstrated a positive improvement in their arithmetic fluency development. Moreover, the Multiple Linear Regression analysis revealed that students need to practice deliberately for approximately 68 days (a minimum of 3 min a day) before seeing any substantial improvement in their performance. The study also made an additional contribution by demonstrating how design practice compliance with gamification and Learning Analytics in LMS may lead children to be fluent in simple arithmetic operations. For educators interested in LMS-based intervention, research implications and directions are presented.

<p style="text-align: justify;">The equal symbol has been used in diverse mathematical frameworks, such as arithmetic, algebra, trigonometry, set theory, and so on. In mathematical terms, the equal sign has been used in fixed command of standings. The study reports on the students meaning and interpretations of the equal sign. The study involved Grade 6, 7, and 8 students in a secondary school in Alain, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Much of the earlier research done on the equal sign has focused on the primary school level, but this one focuses on middle school students. The study shows that the maximum foremost understanding of the equal sign amongst Grade 6, 7, and 8 students is a do-something, unidirectional symbol. Students realize the equal sign as an instrument for marking the response moderately than as an interpersonal symbol to associate extents.</p>

This paper assesses the impact of compliance of organizations with the application of laws and regulations in reducing the strategic contradiction in the two companies of the Jordanian phosphate mines public shareholding limited, and the Arab Potash Company in Jordan. The study was conducted by distributing questionnaires to administrative staff from all career levels. Several questionnaires were distributed, and 215 valid questionnaires were retrieved for analysis. The data was entered into the SPSS program.V.25 the use of descriptive statistics measures to be able to apply statistical methods and indicators such as frequency, percentage, and arithmetic averages. The results of the analysis of the data showed that the "application of laws and regulations" index reached (3.94) and "strategic contradiction reduction" index reached (3.95). The study recommended a set of recommendations, including "strengthening periodic commitment to establish better procedures to monitor and ensure regular compliance with regulations and laws".

Abstract (sommario):
This investigation pertains to the evaluation of water quality in the Shatt Al-Arab River, located in the Basrah province of southern Iraq, from 2017 to 2022. Its quality should be assessed regularly, and the condition of water resources should be maintained accordingly. The most common analytical method for describing and assessing general water quality is the Water Quality Index (WQI). Various physicochemical parameters like pH, total dissolved solids, total hardness, calcium, magnesium, chloride, and total alkalinity are considered for the present study. The Weighted Arithmetic Water Quality Index Technique is used to evaluate these data. For checking the portability of the parameters within the acceptable limit, WHO is adopted. According to the study mentioned above, the quality has been found to be very low compared to the WQI value. It is also observed that the water was found unsuitable for drinking purposes, and it is considered harmful to human health; therefore, it requires some kind of processing before use. This study will be beneficial to policymakers for identifying and providing details about water quality in the form of a specific value.

Abstract (sommario):
The research to determine the effect of Self Determination on Achievement Motivation, Peer Support on Achievement Motivation, Self Determination and Peer Support together on Achievement Motivation. The sample in this research were students aged 13-15 years who took a special class in Arabic with a total of 110 subjects. The data collection technique used Likert scale distribution as a research instrument. The instrument trial was conducted at the Islamic Boarding School Nurul Huda Singosari with N=30. The results showed the effect of Self Determination on Achievement Motivation with an r of 0.510 with a t-test result of 6.157 which is greater than the t table with a significance level of 5%. Peer Support Variable on Achievement Motivation also has an effect of r = 0.439 and t count of 5.083 > t table (1.984). Self Determination and Peer Support variables together also have an influence on Achievement Motivation, with a value of r = 0.597 and F arithmetic (29.55) > F table (3.15). The results of testing the value of the contribution of Relative Self Determination is 57.3%, Peer Support is 42.7% and the total value of the contribution of the two independent variables to achievement motivation is 35.5% while the remaining 64.5% is contributed by other variables that are not discussed in this study.

The present descriptive study aimed to survey the Faculty of Education students’ attitudes to handicapped individuals in Jordan, in a bid to explore the need for programmes to change negative attitudes to this group. The population of the study consisted of all the 123 students who registered in the introduction to special education course in the summer course in the academic year 2021-2021 or the first semester of the academic year 2021-2022 among bachelor’s degree majors of the Faculty of Education at the Arab Open University/Jordan. The sample of the study consisted of 57 students, who were selected at random of the population. The tool applied was that developed by Al-Qureiti for students’ attitudes to handicapped individuals, which was adapted for Jordan’s environment by Darwish. It consisted of 60 paragraphs of three sections on different aspects. On the other hand, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, T-test and one-way analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) are adopted. It is found that there are statistically significant differences at 0.05≥α attributed to taking the course. There are similar statistically significant differences related to the gender factor, as female are shown to have more positive attitudes than male.

Mustafa Jawad was one of the flags of Iraq’s renaissance in the modern era. His name became known and spread in Arab scientific and linguistic academies, and literary and intellectual forums. He was a proven historian, an unquestionable investigator, and a linguist who surrounded the kingdom of the vast and sprawling language because Arabic is to him: (a grave, great, orthodox language for a nation). Generous, great, ancient language, noble descent, arithmetic, rich in words, abundant in grammar, ever-increasing, steadily increasing, derivation, musical pronunciation, poetic letters, abundant literature, abundant in substance. He heard the poems of praise and lamentation in the family of the Messenger (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him and his family), he accepted to plow it, study it and read the books written in its art, and his love for her grew, and he fell in love with her, traces the stray and the one coming from it, digging into its secrets and subtleties, defending it, correcting this, criticizing that. He searches for a common way that facilitates the ways of knowing her, and raises her status, after the tribulations of time coincided with her, then collectively expresses her tongue, and collectively raises her foundations and structure.

The present study aimed to determine the level of application of psychological care methods in Palestine from the perspective of the inmates, "The Arab Orphanage and the House of Faith(EL-Eman) are a model", in the cities of Tulkarm and Qalqilya, for the first semester of the scholastic year (2019-2020) The two researchers chose the study community purposively; it reached the size of (92), and the sample was(86) orphans from two associations, and the two researchers developed a questionnaire, which was distributed in its final form, in four main fields, and was used in the descriptive method. The results of the study showed that the level of implementing methods of psychological care in Palestine from the perspective of inmates was 64.81% and the fields came in a descending order, and their mean (arithmetic mean) The first place: guiding The second place: social The third place: educational The fourth place: psychological Hence, the research results shown that there are no statistically significant differences at the level of (α≤0.05) and the mean of the Level of Psychological Care Methods in Orphanages in Palestine from the perspective of inmates based on the type variables, the cause of residence in the orphanages, the academic achievement level, age and the name of the institution, thus, the two researchers recommended the necessity

The study aimed to identify the digital readiness of school principals in The northern Jordan Valley in the light of the Corona pandemic and its impact on administration administrative tasks from the teachers' point of view, The researcher used the descriptive and analytical method, the tool is a questionnaire that distributed to a group of male and female teachers in public schools and those affiliated to the education directorates in the northern Jordan Valley, which numbered (180) teachers, who were chosen by simple random method, The results of the study showed that the effect of digital readiness of school principals in the light of Corona pandemic in the administration of administrative tasks on an overall average (3.88 out of 5), i.e. an approval degree of readiness (high), There are no statistically significant differences between the arithmetic means of the responses of the sample members to the tool as a whole due to variables (gender, experience, educational qualification), In light of the results, the researcher recommended the necessity of holding workshops and training courses for teachers and school principals to help them use the computer and the Internet efficiently and effectively to deal with the requirements and strategies of digital learning, in addition to supporting the digital readiness of school principals to maintain the permanence and continuity of education in the Jordan Valley and throughout the Kingdom of Jordan and the Arab countries.

<p>This study aims to disclose the relationship between the feeling of psychological security among talented adolescents at Gifted and Talented Schools in Ajloun Governorate/Jordan and Academic Achievement level, and its relationship to some demographic factors: (gender, class). In order to achieve the objectives of the study, it was used Maslow scale of feeling of security, and it was developed by Al-diwani and Al-dirani (1983) to match the Jordanian Arab environment, and to identify and ensure validity and reliability, the sample consisted of 100 talented students were selected randomly from class of supreme basic and secondary schools. It was analyzed the data through the arithmetic averages standard deviations and value of (t), the multi variance analysis correlation coefficient between psychological security &amp; academic achievement, and the study came up with some results including: that the level of psychological security between the talented students ranged between medium, high. And there is statistically significant effect when (α≤0.05) between psychological security and its dimensions at class factor for the seventh class (12 years) and there is statistically significant effect when α≤0.05 between psychological security and its dimensions at the gender factor in favor of females. And there is a positive correlation relationship between psychological security and its dimensions and academic achievement among the talented. And the results were discussed in the light of the theoretical framework &amp; previous studies, it was suggested some recommendations on the basis of the results of the study.</p>

The current research aims to identify the nature of the Iraqi media network’s practice of strategic prowess and job performance, as well as to test the correlation of the impact of strategic prowess as an independent influencing variable in job performance as a dependent variable directly affected, and given the scarcity of studies that attempted to identify and identify the nature of the correlation between the three research variables in their form direct and indirect in the Iraqi environment, add to this the researcher’s attempt to examine and address a real and realistic problem that directly affects the Iraqi media network.However, the research adopted the intentional stratified sampling method for a population of network managers 250 individuals. The researcher utilized the Thompson equation and Mascheran’s table for small samples. The size of the research sample was 160, and the questionnaire was distributed to them, from which the researcher retrieved 146 which was valid for statistical analysis with a response rate 91.25%, And for this purpose, statistical tools and methods were utilized in analyzing the practical part of the search (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression method, path analysis, Sobel test), and they were analyzed by the statistical program (SPSS V.26 & AMOS V 26), in addition to the descriptive and analytical approach through polling opinions and interviews, so it was the main tool in data collection (the questionnaire), and the research reached the most prominent results represented by the existence of direct correlation between strategic prowess and job performance, and the research contributed to providing the Iraqi and Arab library with the theoretical part In an attempt to bridge the knowledge gap in the interpretation of variables.

The study addressed the role of Arabic investments in Aqaba special economic zone (ASEZ), and tried to answer the following questions: are the necessary potentials and features available in (ASEZ) to provide an attractive investment climate for the Arabic investments, what is the level of policies effectiveness for improving the investment climate in (ASEZ) to attract the Arabic investments, what is the level of guarantees effectiveness provided by (ASEZ) to encourage Arabic investments, and what is the level of investment privileges and facilities, related to the investments provided by (ASEZ) to attract the Arab investment to it. Data were collected through one study tool that consisted of 30 paragraphs by using Likert fifth scale. Study importance comes from its benefit to decision makers at (ASEZ) to avoid some of the pitfalls and barriers that face the investment in it, where the descriptive analytical approach was used to calculate the arithmetic means, standard deviations, percentages, and T-test on paragraphs of the questionnaire that was distributed by the simple random survey method. Study results showed the existence of distinctive characteristics within the investment climate at (ASEZ), and also concluded that (ASEZA) plays a big role in attracting Arabic investments to Aqaba, the study in return arrived to the existence of some barriers that limit the Arabic investments attraction to Aqaba, the most important of those are: management problems, multiple decision making parties, bureaucratic, and routine. The study recommended to reformulate operation of the united investment window, in a way that makes it a role model, to repair the internal house of government institutions and agencies dealing with investment, entrepreneurship or projects, and train staffs to facilitate the procedures offers for foreign investors, which encourage them to establish their projects there and improve the image of Jordan as an attractive country for investment and investors.

<p><em><em><span>This study aims to determine how much influence word of mouth, destination image and brand image have on consumer decisions. The population in this study were consumers, namely students who carried out Arabic language courses in the city of Pare, Kediri, as many as 81 respondents, because the population was less than 100, all of them were taken so this research is also called a census research. Sampling using non-probability sampling techniques. Data collection techniques used interviews, literature studies and questionnaires, while for data analysis using the validity and reliability of the questionnaire items, multiple linear regression analysis and proving hypotheses and drawing conclusions, were used, partial hypothesis testing with T test, simultaneous hypothesis testing with F test and the coefficient of determination. The test results show that Word of Mouth has a significant effect on consumer decisions, as evidenced by the results of sig.0.007 &lt;0.05 and t count (2.772)&gt; t table (1.98). Destination image has a significant effect on Consumer Decisions, as evidenced by the results of sig.0.002 &lt;0.05 and t arithmetic (3.183)&gt; t table (1.98). Brand Image has an effect on Consumer Decisions, as evidenced by the results with sig. 000 &lt;0.05 and t count (9,517)&gt; t table (1.98). Brand Image has the most dominant influence on Consumer Decisions, as evidenced by the results of the greatest calculation value of the other variables.</span></em></em></p><p><em><br /></em></p><p><em>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh word of mouth, citra destinasi dan brand image terhadap keputusan konsumen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah konsumen yaitu pelajar yang melaksanakan kegiatan kursus Bahasa arab di kota pare kabupaten Kediri sejumlah 81 orang responden, oleh karena jumlah populasi kurang dari 100 maka diambil seluruhnya sehingga penelitian ini juga disebut sebagai penelitian sensus. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik non-probability sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, studi pustaka serta kuesioner, sedangkan untuk analisis data menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas item kuesioner, analisis regresi linear berganda dan pembuktian hipotesis dan penarikan kesimpulan, digunakan, uji hipotesis secara parsial dengan Uji T, hipotesis secara simultan dengan Uji F serta koefisien determinasi. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa Word of Mouth berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Keputusan Konsumen, dibuktikan dengan hasil sig.0,007&lt; 0,05 dan t hitung (2,772)&gt; t table (1,98). Citra destinasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Keputusan Konsumen, dibuktikan dengan hasil sig.0,002&lt;0,05 dan t hitung(3,183)&gt;t tabel(1,98). This article describes how the decimal place value system was transmitted from India via the Arabs to the West up to the end of the fifteenth century. The arithmetical work of al-Khwārizmī's, ca. 825, is the oldest Arabic work on Indian arithmetic of which we have detailed knowledge. There is no known Arabic manuscript of this work; our knowledge of it is based on an early reworking of a Latin translation. Until some years ago, only one fragmentary manuscript of this twelfth-century reworking was known (Cambridge, UL, Ii.6.5). Another manuscript that transmits the complete text (New York, Hispanic Society of America, HC 397/726) has made possible a more exact study of al-Khwārizmī's work. This article gives an outline of this manuscript's contents and discusses some characteristics of its presentation.

The diverse opus of Marin Getaldić can methodologically and conceptually be divided into two parts. Getaldić’s early works can be considered as a reinterpretation of selected works from the ancient Greek and Roman tradition with the aim of transmitting ancient knowledge and theories, but also as an effort to further explore and improve these teachings within the framework of ancient Greek mathematical methods. In his more mature works, Getaldić was focused on the problem of the method. For twenty years, in his native Dubrovnik, he was developing the ideas he had encountered on a study trip across Europe, independently and almost completely isolated from the intense developments in the European scientific community in the first decades of the 17th century. He summarized the findings of his research in a seminal, five-volume work De resolutione et compositione mathematica (Rome 1630). Although Getaldić operated in an environment that was permeated by the Renaissance and humanist influences, in his local environment knowledge was transferred more slowly than in Western European countries where modern science emerged during the 16th and 17th centuries. In Dubrovnik isolation, he created new theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as original works that echoed in the European scientific community not only during his lifetime, but also later, during the 17th and 18th centuries. His example shows that the transfer of knowledge did not take place only from European epistemological centers to the periphery, for it shows that the scientific transfers within Europe went in both directions. He worked at a time when the accumulated knowledge about ancient works and the spread of humanistic education outgrew the ancient tradition, and gradually, after the methodological transformation, modern science was founded and shaped. It took almost twenty centuries for the ancient mathematical methodology, complemented by knowledge assimilated from the Arab and Indian mathematical traditions, to be conceptually modified and new methods aiming at achieving new theoretical knowledge and practical solutions to be developed. In building his rich opus, Getaldić relied heavily on the original ancient mathematical methods, which he consistently applied to a variety of problems. His work was largely based on the works of Greek mathematicians, among whom Pappus and Diophantus stand out, and was influenced by Eudoxus’ theory of scale and Archimedes’ application of logical methodology, i.e. arithmetic interpretation of geometry. Getaldić combined different tendencies of ancient Greek mathematics in a unique and fruitful way. After mastering Viète’s symbolic algebra that operated with general quantities, Getaldić systematically explored the possibilities of symbolic algebra in relation to ancient mathematical methods, which played a crucial role in the further development of modern mathematics and gradually lead to another major conceptual change in mathematical history. The change did not only affect mathematics, but also enabled the emergence of new, simpler and more exact interpretations in other sciences as well.

Mathematics was the focus of Getaldić’s work, not only in the development of mathematical methods and the establishment of new disciplines, but also in building a new approach to nature research based on quantitative approach, application of mathematics and experimental work, as opposed to the hitherto frequent conception of mathematics as an abstract discipline unsuitable for describing the physical world. He introduces mathematics into the research and description of natural phenomena, considering it the key to understanding the world and the most appropriate and unavoidable science in the study of nature. Getaldić’s approach to the study of nature is fully reflected in his work Promotus Archimedes. Getaldić’s style of presenting physical material using scale and the geometric method is an early hint of the spread of the geometric method to various areas of 17th century philosophy, and the paper places it into general philosophical frameworks. In addition to introducing mathematics into the description of physical problems, Getaldić emphasizes another important aspect of the work, and that is its experimental validity, made possible by real measurements. Seen from the perspective of intellectual history and the history of transfer of knowledge, Getaldić’s Promotus Archimedes is a significant contribution to the development of hydrostatics, in which he places himself alongside Galileo Galilei with the excellence of results and elegance of mathematical derivations. Getaldić, experimenting with hydrostatic scales and dealing with physical problems related to determining the relative weight, gave some of the best solutions and methods in the then current field of hydrostatics. Inspired by ancient sources (Archimedes, Euclid, Vitruvius, and others), Getaldić not only participated in the transfer of theories and knowledge from the ancient tradition with his work Promotus Archimedes, but also contributed significantly to the further development of hydrostatics through new knowledge and through the rich reception of his work Promotus Archimedes in the European scientific community of the 17th and 18th centuries. Getaldić was active at a time when the accumulated knowledge of ancient works and the spread of humanistic education outgrew the ancient tradition, and gradually through methodological transformation, modern science was founded and shaped. It took almost twenty centuries for the ancient methodology and approach to the study of nature, complemented by knowledge assimilated from the Arab scientific and philosophical tradition, to change and develop new methods for achieving new theoretical knowledge and practical solutions. Under the influence of Eudoxus’ theory of proportion and Archimedes’ application of logistical methodology, that is, the arithmetic interpretation of geometry, Getaldić combines the various tendencies of the ancient scientific tradition in a unique and fruitful way.Getaldić’s application of the geometric method in the physical work Promotus Archimedes, and its characteristic methodological unit composed of a lesson, problem and accompanying numerical example, fully reflects the quantitative, modern approach to the study of natural science. The main features of Getaldić’s research are based on the permeation of hitherto opposite tendencies and approaches; they are based on the convergence of the empirical approach and mathematical theory. Getaldić consistently applies mathematics to the researched physical content, conducts the analysis with a strict scientific methodology, and each of his conclusions is accompanied by mathematical evidence, which is entirely derived in the spirit of ancient Greek mathematics. He uses Archimedes’ application of scale and logistical methodology, as well as the arithmetic interpretation of geometry. He systematizes the results of the research and presents them on the model of Euclid’s Elements, to which he refers several times in his work. For Getaldić, mathematics is the science that leads to true knowledge about the world and it is the key to our knowledge. Archimedes served as an inspiration for Getaldić to apply the geometric method upon the physical structure and in the arithmetic interpretation of geometry. Although Getaldić’s style of presenting the material in this work could be called Euclidean in its form, it was Archimedes, not Euclid, who used the logistical methodology, that is, the arithmetic interpretation of geometry in describing physical problems. Also, Archimedes provided the theoretical basis in this area on which Getaldić relies in his work Promotus Archimedes, so in that sense it is justified to consider Archimedes as the fundamental inspiration of this work. The new role of mathematics was fundamental to the modern philosophy of nature. In this sense, Getaldić’s Promotus Archimedes is an outstanding example of an early transformation that later fully developed in modern science. Unlike the previous tradition, Getaldić’s application of mathematics in science is neither symbolic nor figurative. He uses mathematics to connect it to real measurements. Mathematics serves Getaldić to shape sensory reality and he uses extensive mathematical deduction. Therefore, the work Promotus Archimedes fully represents an early hint of the future development of modern science, which some twenty years later will be theoretically exposed by Galileo Galilei in his work Il Sagiatore. Getaldić’s new methodological approach to nature research and the results of his theoretical and practical work, systematized and published in Promotus Archimedes, fully reflect Getaldić’s important role in the early formation of modern science, placing Getaldić alongside Galileo. This is evidenced by the rich transfer of knowledge from Getaldić’s Advanced Archimedes throughout the 17th century, which is presented as an inspiration to generations of scientists, from the publication of the work until the beginning of the 18th century. The paper presents a strong echo of Promotus Archimedes in modern natural science literature, which discusses its contribution to the transformation of modern science and epistemological aspects of Getaldić’s work. According to preceding knowledge, as many as thirteen scientists have used and transmitted the findings of Getaldić’s hydrostatic research in various ways. Starting from his Roman teacher, knowledge was passed on to younger generations of students and scientists. Even during Getaldić’s lifetime, this knowledge was passed on by: Christoph Grienberger, his student Giovanni Bardi and Giuseppe Biancani, a professor in Parma. The influence of Getaldić’s Promotus Archimedes was spread mostly by scientists and philosophers from Jesuit circles, so the findings of his research continue to be passed on after Getaldić’s life by Jesuits: Mario Bettini, Niccolò Cabeo, Giovanni Battista Riccioli, Kaspar Schott, Athanasius Kircher and Michael Klaus. In particular, Riccioli’s, Schott’s and Kircher’s works, created in the middle of the 17th century, emphasized the importance and role of Getaldić’s Advanced Archimedes in the history of hydrostatics. The theoretical and practical results of Getaldić’s hydrostatic research were incorporated by these three Jesuits and polyhistors into as many as eight printed works. Along with the works of older scientists who were inspired by Getaldić, Riccioli’s, Schott’s and Kircher’s works promote Getaldić into one of the most influential hydrostatists of the 17th century. Three of their works are particularly significant for this: Riccioli’s Almagestum novum (1651), Schott’s Magia universalis naturae et artis (1658) and Kircher’s Mundus subterraneus (1665). There are different branches and modalities of spreading knowledge from Getaldić’s Advanced Archimedes. Except within Jesuit circles, they were transmitted through an extensive network of scientific connections. The influence of Getaldić’s Advanced Archimedes spread not only in Rome, Parma and Bologna, as foci of Jesuit science, but also in England, France, Bavaria and Sicily, as evidenced by the works of William Oughtred, Marin Mersenne, Pierre Petit, Georg Philip Harsdörffer, and Giovanni Battista Odierna. The example of Getaldić’s work Promotus Archimedes shows that the transfer of knowledge did not take place only from European scientific centers to the periphery, but in his case the process of transfer of knowledge took place in both directions and Getaldić’s influence in shaping the foundations of modern science is confirmed.

The aim of the paper is to extend the ARAS (Additive Ratio ASsessment) strategy to the single-valued pentapartitioned neutrosophic number environment which we call the SVPNN-ARAS strategy. The single-valued pentapartitioned neutrosophic number is the extension of fuzzy number and neutrosophic number. It comprehensively deals with uncertainty as it replaces indeterminacy with three independent entities, namely, contradiction, ignorance, and unknown. To develop a decision-making strategy, the arithmetic averaging operator for pentapartitioned numbers is defined and its basic properties are established. Single valued pentapartitioned number is a suitable mathematical tool to deal with uncertainty comprehensively. The SVPNN-ARAS strategy effectively evaluates and ranks feasible alternatives. In this paper, the ARAS strategy for multicriteria group decision-making in a pentapartitioned neutrosophic number environment is developed. To demonstrate the applicability of the proposed strategy, a green supplier selection problem is solved and sensitivity analysis is performed to reflect the impacts of weighting of the decision makers and criteria on ranking the alternatives.

Recently, artificial intelligence (AI) including machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) models has been commonly employed for the automated disease diagnosis process. AI in biological and biomedical imaging is an emerging area and will be a future trend in the field. At the same time, biomedical images can be used for the classification of Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) diseases. RA is an autoimmune illness that affects the musculoskeletal system causing systemic, inflammatory and chronic effects. The disease frequently becomes progressive and decreases physical function, causing articular damage, suffering, and fatigue. After a time, RA causes harm to the cartilage of the joints and bones, weakens the tendons and joints, and finally causes joint destruction. Sensors (thermal infrared camera sensor, accelerometers and wearable sensors) are more commonly employed to collect data for RA. This study develops an Automated Rheumatoid Arthritis Classification using an Arithmetic Optimization Algorithm with Deep Learning (ARAC-AOADL) model. The goal of the presented ARAC-AOADL technique lies in the classification of health disorders depending upon RA and orthopaedics. Primarily, the presented ARAC-AOADL technique pre-processes the input images by median filtering (MF) technique. Then, the ARAC-AOADL technique uses AOA with an enhanced capsule network (ECN) model to produce feature vectors. For RA classification, the ARAC-AOADL technique uses a multi-kernel extreme learning machine (MKELM) model. The experimental result analysis of the ARAC-AOADL technique on a benchmark dataset reported a maximum accuracy of 98.57%. Therefore, the ARAC-AOADL technique can be employed for accurate and timely RA classification.

Population-ecological analysis of Aral roach (Rutilus rutilus aralensis) was conducted in Tuzkan lake of Aydar-Arnasay lake system in Uzbekistan. In the Aydar-Arnasay lake system, it was analyzed the age structure, body weight, 19 morphometric and 5 meristematic indicators of 158 fish specimens caught in Tuzkan Lake in January and February 2020. The main selected indicators as a result of statistical analysis are: arithmetic mean; error rate; indicators of variability of morphometric and morpho-physiological signs; and variable asymmetry of meristem indicators. Statistical evaluation was conducted to determine the reliability of the survey results. Some features of the morpho-physiological state of the studied population were identified, which were explained by natural-climatic features, as well as anthropogenic impact on the water basin.

Abstract. Investigation of genetic relationship among populations has been traditionally based on the analysis of allele frequencies at different loci. The prime objective of this research was to measure the genetic polymorphism of five microsatellite markers (McMA2, BM6444, McMA26, HSC, and OarHH35) and study genetic diversity of 14 sheep types in Iran. Genomic DNA was extracted from blood samples of 565 individuals using an optimized salting-out DNA extraction procedure. The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was successfully performed with the specific primers. Some locus–population combinations were not at Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium (P < 0. 05). The microsatellite analysis revealed high allelic and gene diversity in all 14 breeds. Pakistani and Arabi breeds showed the highest mean number of alleles (11.8 and 11 respectively), while the highest value for polymorphic information content was observed for the Arabi breed (0.88). A UPGMA (unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean) dendrogram based on the Nei's standard genetic distance among studied breeds showed a separate cluster for Arabi and Pakistani breeds and another cluster for other breeds. The Shannon index (H0) for McMA2, BM6444, McMA26, HSC, and OarHH35 was 2.31, 2.17, 2.27, 2.04 and 2.18, respectively, and polymorphic information content (PIC) values were 0.88, 0.92, 0.87, 0.84, and 0.86 for McMA2, BM6444, McMA26, HSC, and OarHH35, respectively. The high degree of variability demonstrated within the studied sheep types implies that these populations are rich reservoirs of genetic diversity that must be preserved.

The problem was for stuck in the computer-use for a long time per day. The goal was to follow child-health in the Arab-community to notice its influence on the child-health. The method was through a arithmetical study by sending Internet questionnaire and receiving the parents' advice. The results were in the 500 parent answers and 14 comments. The first was "You have a child up to 13 years old?"; 83.6%. The second was "Your child used a computer?"; 80.8%. The third was "Your child used the computer for a long time?"; 67.9%. The fourth was "The computer caused a health problem for your child?"; 70.3%. The fifth was "The computer caused your child mental disorder?"; 68.5%. The sixth was "The computer caused your child trouble seeing?"; 77.2%. The seventh was "The computer caused your child trouble sleeping?"; 72.0%. The eighth 8 was "The computer caused your child feeding problem?"; 69.5%. The ninth was "The computer caused your child family relationship problem?", 72.0%. The tenth was "Prevent your child from using the computer to protect his health?"; 79.0%. It was concluded that the extent of the harms of child computer-use from a health and psychological point. They have young and sensitive tissues. The computer-use affected them, child-health. It was recommended the parents instructions will protect children from the computer-use for long periods. That will reduce child-health and psychological problems.

The present research aimed to investigate the efficacy of the CABRI 3D Program in increasing the academic achievement in mathematics of middle school students in Arar city, Northern Border Region. Through its general objective, the study sought to answer the following key question: Are there statistical differences in the academic achievement in mathematics of the members of the study sample as a result of the implementation of the CABRI 3D Program? Methodology and research methods. The study sample consisted of (70) junior high school students in public schools in Arar city. The sample was distributed randomly between a first control group of (36) students and a second test group of (34) students, who learned using the CABRI 3D Program. After conducting the study, all arithmetic means were extracted, along with the standard deviations of the overall scores of the individuals in the sample, Results, and scientific novelty. The results of the study indicated that the students in the test group on whom the CABRI 3D Program was implemented had better direct and deferred academic achievement than the students in the control group who learned in the traditional way.

Grassland swards containing white clover varieties (WCV) may result in lower enteric methane (CH4) output from grazing ruminants than swards of only perennial grass species (PGS) due to differences in their chemical composition and rumen fermentation dynamics. The objectives of the present study were to compare the chemical composition, in vitro rumen fermentation variables and CH4 output per unit of feed for a range of common PGS and WCV harvested in May from simulated grazing regimes, and to determine the effects of binary mixtures of the PGS and WCV on in vitro rumen fermentation variables and CH4 output, using a batch-culture technique. Four PGS (perennial ryegrass, cocksfoot, meadow fescue and timothy) and three WCV (Aran, Chieftain and Crusader) were incubated as sole substrates or as part of binary mixtures (PGS : WCV ratios of 0 : 1, 0.25 : 0.75, 0.5 : 0.5, 0.75 : 0.25 and 1 : 0) for 24 h at 39°C with buffered rumen fluid. All WCV had lower (P < 0.001) CH4 output per unit of apparent DM disappeared (aDMD; mean value across WCV (s.e.m.) of 27.0 (1.35) mL/g aDMD v. 36.1 (0.90) mL/g aDMD across PGS) during the in vitro rumen incubation than did all PGS. The WCV also had lower CH4 output per unit of total volatile fatty acids (corresponding values of 0.147 (0.0090) v. 0.199 (0.0073) mmol/mmol total volatile fatty acid output) and per unit of total gas produced (0.118 (0.0022) v. 0.153 (0.0024) mmol/mmol total gas produced) than did the PGS. In addition, Aran and Crusader had lower (P < 0.001) CH4 output per unit of feed DM incubated than did all PGS. There were synergistic associative effects (i.e. where the response was greater for the mixtures than the arithmetic calculation using the responses for PGS and WCV alone; P < 0.05) of mixing the PGS and WCV in binary combinations on all CH4 output variables.

Background: In the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), cervical cancer ranks the 9th most diagnosed cancer among females aged 15-44 years and according to the World Health Organization (WHO) recent figures, it ranks the 6th leading cause of cancer-related mortalities in this age group in Saudi Arabia. Objectives: To assess the knowledge, attitudes and practices of the primary health care physicians towards the Cervical Cancer and Human Papilloma Virus and its prevention. Subjects and methods:A descriptive cross-sectional facility basedstudy was conducted in Arar city in a period from February to December, 2021 among all the primary health care physicians, in addition to gynecologist and pediatricians in Maternity and Child hospital. A comprehensive structured English self-administered questionnaire to assess the levels of knowledge and attitudes regarding cervical cancer and the two major preventive strategies (the Pap smear and HPV vaccine) was used for data collection. Results: The study included 128 physicians. Females represented 61.7% of them. Their age ranged between 24 and 56 years with an arithmetic mean±tandard deviation (SD) of 31.6±6 years. The total knowledge score about cervical cancer prevention and screening ranged between 2 and 21 out of a maximum possible of 22 with a median (interquartile range IQR) of 15 (12-17). The highest knowledge score was observed among family physicians (mean rank=72.90) whereas the lowest score was observed among pediatricians (mean rank=38.55), p<0.001. The total attitude score ranged between 7 and 15 out of a maximum possible of 17 with a median (interquartile range IQR) of 11 (9-12). Only 20.3% of the physicians reported a history of ever been vaccination agaist HPV.The age of vaccinated physicians was significantly lower than that of not vaccinated group (29.0±4.1 vs. 32.2±6.3), p=0.014. Similarly, the years of experience of vaccinated physicians was significantly lower than those of not vaccinated group (3.5±3.0 vs. 5.9±5.2), p=0.024. Almost half of physicians between R1 and R3 (46.2-55.6%) compared to only 4% of R4 and 4.9% of specialists reported history of being vaccinated against HPV, p<0.001. Knowledge about cancer cervix score was significantly higher among not vaccinated compared to vaccinated group (median scores were 16 and 14, respectively), p=0.018. Conclusion:Knowledge of physicians in Arar regarding cancer cervix prevention and screening is moderate, favorable attitude towards the disease was observed, however, suboptimal uptaking of the HPV vaccine was observed.

This study was conducted in the animal field of the College of Agriculture and the Marshes / University of Dhi Qar for the period from 11/6/2020 to 16/2/2021. In this experiment, (12) Arabi dairy sheep were used with their lambs ranging in age from one and a half to two years, single and close in birth. The times of their birth, and their average initial weights were (43.90, 48.50, 44.60) kg for the first, second and third treatments, and after giving the ewes a preparatory stage for two weeks, the ewes and their lambs were randomly distributed between three treatments (nutrition) equally, and each treatment was four replicates, and the ration was given to the ewes on the basis of 3% The ewes of the first treatment were fed a control ration consisting of (25% barley, 25% wheat bran, 20% crushed corn, 20% flour, 7% soybean meal and 3% salt) and the second treatment (basic ration + 3 gm yeast /head /day) and the third treatment (basic diet + 5 gm yeast /head/day) and straw was provided freely to all the mothers of the different treatments.The weights, weight increases and the amount of feed consumed were recorded. The study aimed to disclose the guidance needs of gifted students at Ajloun Governorate in light of some demographic variables (gender, grade, educational level of the parents, and economic level of the family). To achieve the purposes of this study, the researchers used the counseling needs scale, based on the theoretical framework of the foundations of counseling and psychological guidance, that was built by Mann and Araba Asaad (2009), and the researchers developed it to suit the study sample, and high validity and reliability indicators were found for this scale. The sample consisted of (127) gifted students, and they were selected in a randomly stratified manner from the upper and secondary basic grades. The data was analyzed through Finding arithmetic means, standard deviations, finding the value of (t), and one-way analysis of variance. The results of the study showed that the level of guidance needs among gifted students Of school students was medium. It was also shown that there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤ 0.05) in the scores of guidance needs among gifted students according to the gender variable and in favor of females. There were also statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≤ 0.05) at the degrees of Guidance needs among gifted students for the grade variable in favor of the highest grade, it was also shown that there aren't any statistically significant differences in the degrees of guidance needs among gifted students for the educational level variable of the parents and the economic level variable of the family. The results were also discussed in light of theoretical literature and previous studies, and some recommendations were suggested based on the results of the study.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan model perkembangan lebar tajuk pohon dominan jati asal Kebun Benih Klon pada tegakan berkualitas baik.Penelitian dilakukan di Kesatuan Pemangkuan Hutan Ngawi pada petak tanaman jati asal Kebun Benih Klon bertumbuhan baik pada umur 615 tahun. Petak tanaman bertumbuhan baik ditentukan berdasarkan kriteria persentase keberhasilan tanaman, rata-rata tinggi pohon dan rata-rata diameter batang serta aksesibilitasnya. Pada petak yang memenuhi syarat bertumbuhan baik dipilih sebanyak 30 sampel pohon dominan dan tiap sampel diukur radius tajuk pada empat arah mata angin. Hasil pengukuran radius tajuk digunakan untuk menghitung rata-rata radius tajuk sebagai rata-rata kuadratik 4 arah pengukuran radius tajuk dan lebar tajuk sebagai dua kali rata-rata radius tajuk. Rata-rata aritmatik dari lebar tajuk 30 pohon dominan tiap petak pengukuran digunakan sebagai variabel respons dan umur tegakan sebagai variabel prediktor. Data pengukuran selanjutnya dipilah menjadi dua bagian, yaitu sebagian besar untuk pengembangan model dan satu bagian lagi untuk validasi model. Analisis regresi non linear dengan metode kuadrat terkecil digunakan untuk memilih 4 kandidat model penduga rata-rata lebar tajuk, yaitu model Sigmoid, Power, Schumacher dan Gompertz. Pemilihan model didasarkan atas nilai koefisien determinasi tertinggi dan standard error of the estimate terkecil serta signifikansi uji F dan uji T. Akhirnya, model terbaik diuji kelayakannya dengan kriteria root mean squared error, simpangan agregatif dan simpangan relatif. Model Gompertz adalah model terbaik untuk memprediksi perkembangan rata-rata lebar tajuk pohon dominan, yang dapat dituliskan dengan persamaan:CW = 6,585 Xe-0,705xe-0,091sagedan dapat menjelaskan 79% variasi data. Model tersebut lolos validasi dan layak digunakan untuk memprediksi rata-rata lebar tajuk pohon dominan jati asal Kebun Benih Klon pada tegakan berkualitas baik umur 6 tahun sampai dengan umur 15 tahun di Kesatuan Pemangkuan Hutan Ngawi.Predicting Crown-width of Dominant Trees on Teak Plantation from Clonal Seed Orchards in Ngawi Forest Management Unit, East JavaAbstractThis study aims to determine the model of crown width development of the dominant teak tree planted using seeds from clonal seed orchards. The research was carried out in Ngawi Forest Management Unit on the good quality teak compartment having stands age from 6 to 15 years old. The good quality compartments were determined based on higher stand density, taller average tree height, larger average stem diameter, and good accessibility. In a well-qualified compartment, 30 samples of the dominant tree were selected and each sample was measured for the crown radius in the four radii. The measured crown radius was used to calculate average crown radius as a quadratic mean of 4-crown radii and crown width as double of average crown radius. The arithmetic mean of the crown width of the 30 dominant trees in each measured compartment was used as the response variable and stand age as the predictor variable. The measurement data were then sorted into two parts, namely: mostly for model fitting and the remaining for model validation. Non-linear regression analysis with the least squares method was used to evaluate 4 candidate models of average crown width, namely: Sigmoid, Power, Schumacher, and Gompertz models. The model selection was based on the highest coefficient of determination and the smallest standard error of the estimate and the significance of F test and T test. The best model was eventually validated using the following criteria : root mean squared error, aggregate deviation, and relative deviation. Gompertz model was the best model to predict the average crown width development of dominant teak tree and expressed as:CW = 6.585 Xe-0.705xe-0.091xageand able to explain 79% variation of data. The model was passed based on statistical validation and it was feasible for predicting the average of crown width of dominant teak tree from clonal seed orchards on good quality stand aged 6 to 15 years in Ngawi Forest Management Unit.

Abstract (sommario):
The total quality management standards in vocational training and education are crucial for reforming the vocational training system to overcome the shortage of skilled labour in the domestic labour market and diversify the country’s income by exporting surplus labour to foreign markets. To support economic growth, especially in priority sectors, it is necessary to adhere to total quality management standards in Vocational Training and Education (used in the process of Institutional and Program Accreditation of educational institutions in Libya and Algeria). The article investigates the compliance of vocational training and education in Algeria with these standards (based on the example of the Center for Vocational Training and Apprenticeship “Ould Cheikh El Arabi” in Relizane). The solution to this research problem is relevant, among other things, because, thanks to regulated state programs in such sectors as construction, public works and agriculture, the Algerian government has allowed construction and contracting companies to hire foreign labour from China, Turkey, Egypt and other countries, which has led to an increase in unemployment in the domestic labour market. That is why it is relevant to identify why the Algerian labour market cannot provide qualified labour to meet the needs of supplier companies and contractors. The study is based on the survey of a random sample of 150 students, 40.43% of the total number of students enrolled at the Centre. To ensure the clarity and coherence of the questionnaire, a preliminary study was conducted with a random selection of 25 students, eliminating linguistic and methodological imbalances. 6 expert reviewers confirmed the validity of the questionnaire content. Reliability was confirmed using Cronbach’s alpha test. The questionnaire’s content is structured according to five main criteria contained in the Total Quality Management Standards in Vocational Training and Education, each consisting of a set of indicators and measures to assess the fulfilment degree of the criterion. They evaluate the quality of educational and training programs (6 paragraphs), the quality of teaching staff (6 paragraphs), the quality of students’ affairs (8 paragraphs), the management quality of the educational institution (9 paragraphs), and the quality of structures and services (10 paragraphs). During the questionnaire, students expressed their opinion on the importance of a particular criterion using a five-step Likert scale. Based on the results, the arithmetic means, and standard deviations of the degree of students’ approval of the importance and fulfilment degree of each criterion as a whole and its individual paragraphs were calculated. The influence of these criteria on the dependent variable − the quality of training − was assessed using the Pearson correlation matrix. Based on the study results, several recommendations have been investigated to improve the quality management efficiency of training and education at the Centre.

Este trabalho tem finalidade didática e o objetivo desta síntese da história da álgebra é percorrer o caminho da sua construção desde a antiguidade, destacando os avanços e recuos no seu desenvolvimento em decorrência da falta ou presença de outros elementos fundamentais que foram sendo construídos em paralelo, visando subsidiar professores de Matemática em seu trabalho de conquistar a atenção do estudante para essa ciência. Tem como meta estimular a busca por uma justificativa para a inclusão da história as álgebra no currículo da Educação Básica. O percurso desta síntese histórica vai da álgebra retórica à simbólica, dos motivos sociais às transcendentais, de Diofanto a al-Kowarismi, da álgebra geométrica dos gregos e da álgebra prática dos árabes à álgebra abstrata dos nossos dias. Apresenta-se os fatores econômicos intervenientes, o papel da álgebra clássica, a contribuição da álgebra moderna, o enigma histórico, o pensamento algébrico, o papel da álgebra na educação, a generalização da aritmética, o que é uma mente para a Matemática, a capacidade numérica e a capacidade matemática, o senso numérico e a algoritmização como fatores necessários à compreensão da álgebra. Trata-se, portanto, de uma revisão sistemática apoiada em autores que abordam a História da Matemática e discutem o papel desempenhado por ela ao longo dos séculos. O resultado aponta para a necessidade de uma maior discussão sobre a contribuição da álgebra para a constituição da mente matemática e para o desenvolvimento do pensamento algébrico. AbstractThis work has didactic and the objective of this synthesis of the history of algebra is to follow the path of its construction since antiquity, highlighting the advances and setbacks in its development due to the lack or presence of other fundamental elements that were being built in parallel, aiming to subsidize Mathematics teachers in their work to gain student attention for this science. It aims to stimulate the search for a justification for its inclusion in the Basic Education curriculum. The route goes from rhetorical algebra to symbolic, from social to transcendental motives, from Diophantus to al-Kowarismi, from the geometric algebra of the Greeks and the practical algebra of the Arabs to the abstract algebra of our days. It presents the intervening economic factors, the role of classical algebra, the contribution of modern algebra, the historical enigma, algebraic thinking, the role of algebra in education, the generalization of arithmetic, what is a mind for mathematics, numerical ability and mathematical ability, number sense and algorithmization as necessary factors for understanding algebra. It is, therefore, a systematic review supported by authors who address the history of Mathematics and discuss the role played by it over the centuries. The result points to the need for a greater discussion about the contribution of algebra to the constitution of the mathematical mind and to the development of algebraic thinking. Purpose The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of perceived social support on postpartum depression (PPD) in Arab immigrant mothers and Turkish mothers. Design/methodology/approach This descriptive study was conducted with 140 mothers between September 2017 and January 2018. The data was collected via the Turkish and Arabic versions of the sociodemographic questionnaire, the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) and the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. Percentage and arithmetic mean calculations, independent samples t-test, Mann–Whitney U test, paired logistic regression analysis backward elimination method and Pearson and Spearman correlation analyses were conducted to analyze the data. Findings The data revealed that the risk of PPD was twice as high in Arab immigrant mothers (56.3%) compared to Turkish mothers (29%). The EPDS mean score was 12.37 ± 6.28 for Arab immigrant mothers and 8.81 ± 5.48 for Turkish mothers. The social support mean score was found to be 50.70 ± 19.27 for Arab immigrant mothers and 61.41 ± 16.51 for Turkish mothers. The independent risk factors for Turkish mothers included mother’s age, monthly income level and infant’s age, while the independent risk factors for Arab immigrant mothers included number of children, husband’s status of employment and access to regular medical care during pregnancy. The negative correlation between EPDS and social support overall scores and subscale scores was found to be significant for both groups. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study on the impact of social support on PPD in Arab immigrant and Turkish women in the national and international literature. The study helped reveal the correlation between perceived social support and PPD, the PPD risk rates and risk factors according to citizenship status for the first time.

The current research aims to measure the role that knowledge donation plays in collective intelligence, represented by the dimensions. The researcher distributed (125) questionnaires to a sample of Al-Rajhi Bank employees in Riyadh, and (102) analysis forms were adopted. To draw the results, the researcher used Several statistical methods such as normal distribution, Cronbach’s alpha stability coefficient, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and structural equation modeling. The researcher reached a set of results, including that Al-Rajhi Bank's interest in encouraging its employees to share knowledge among them contributes to developing their collective intelligence by improving their mental abilities to present new creative ideas that serve the interest. Implementing training and development programs: the bank can provide training and development programs for its employees to improve their Arabic language skills and ensure their ability to communicate effectively with customers. In addition, the researcher presented several recommendations, including that Al-Rajhi Bank's keenness to share knowledge requires them to urge employees to participate in training workshops to improve their cognitive and mental abilities—improving the bank's performance in its various branches.

The aim of the research was to investigate the reality of the practice of the dimensions of the servant leadership in the heads of the scientific departments at the University of Hafr Al-Batin. The researcher used the descriptive approach. The tool was in a questionnaire to measure the degree of practice, which was applied to 131 of 600 faculty members Hafr al-Batin with 21.83% of faculty members. The most important results of this study were the following: - The general arithmetic mean for all fields of study reached (3.70) out of (5). This means that the faculty members confirm that the degree of the heads of the departments for the leadership of the servant is high. - that all the terms of the leadership command contained in the questionnaire came at a high and medium level, and finally did not get any of the resolution of the degree of very high, low or very low. - The ranking of the dimensions of the servant leadership according to the degree of the practice of the heads of departments from the point of view of the faculty members ranked in descending order according to the values ​​of the arithmetic averages. It came first after the conceptual skills with an average of 3.76 and came second after empowerment with an average of 3.70. In the third place after the attention to subordinates first with an average (3.65). - There were statistically significant differences in the sex variable at (0.01) in favor of males, and there were no significant differences in the scientific level variable at (0.01). In the light of the results of the research, a number of recommendations and suggestions were presented to enhance the practice of leadership dimensions in the heads of scientific departments at Hafr Al-Batin University and the various Saudi and Arab universities.

The dialectic relationship between poetry and philosophy is both an old and modern problem, as it is originally related to the dispute about the type of knowledge that a person needs, is it the knowledge of physical issues, or the external, sensory issues of existence? It is also related to determining the source of human knowledge. Is it the pure mind or the senses? Are we being driven behind logic and arithmetic, or behind imagination and conscience? These questions represented the starting point for the disagreement between philosophers and poets about the nature of the relationship between poetry and philosophy, and this debate began with Plato's expulsion of poets from his republic, where he saw that poets are imitators, and that poetry is a harmful art, which the righteous states must get rid of, as Plato affirmed the oldness of this conflict and transfered to us forms of it. This study deals with the attitude of ancient Greek philosophy (Plato and Aristotle) and modern Western philosophy (Friedrich Nietzsche and Martin Heidegger) towards poetry, as well as the position of Arab poets on the dialectic relationship between poetry and philosophy, and the effect of that on poetry. The study consists of an Introduction and two parts, namely: The first part: the attitude of philosophy towards poetry, and includes two topics: The attitude of ancient Greek philosophy towards poetry, and the attitude of modern Western philosophy towards poetry. The second part: the attitude of the Arabic poetry towards the relationship between poetry and philosophy, and it includes two topics: Poets who reject the existence of a relationship between poetry and philosophy and Poets who support the existence of a relationship between poetry and philosophy.

The study aimed to reveal the degree to which the students of the University of Jordan represent concepts of national identity from their point of view. To achieve the goal of the study, the researchers used the descriptive approach. The tool was represented in a questionnaire consisting of (20) paragraphs. After confirming its stability and sincerity, it was applied to a random sample consisting of (400) A student and a student from the University of Jordan, the results showed that the total degree was obtained to represent the students of the University of Jordan for the concepts of national identity from their point of view on an arithmetic average (3.75) with a high degree. In addition to, there are statistically significant differences appeared in a degree that represents the students of the University of Jordan for the concepts of national identity attributed to variable gender, while there are no statistically significant differences appeared in a degree that represents the students of the University of Jordan for the concepts of national identity attributed to variable (college and year). In light of these results, a number of proposals and recommendations were presented, the most important of which was interest in creating a generation that adheres to its national identity, consolidating elements of national heritage from childhood, emphasizing the importance of the Arabic language as the language of the Qur’an, and informing them of the honorable Arab history to be proud of their past belonging to their present.
