Abstract (sommario):
Agricultural support policies are important for the sustainability of the agricultural sector of the countries. Policy instruments may change on the basis of countries and periods. In this research, the effects of Turkey's supply deficit experienced which are sunflower, soybean, safflower and rapeseed cultivation areas of deficiency payment supports were investigated. The research includes between 1994-2016 years. Granger Causality Test and Johansen Cointegration Test was used. According to the results obtained, the effect of deficiency payment support on sunflower producer decisions was statistically significant. Safflower, rapeseed and soybean on cultivation areas while there was no significant effect. However, it has been determined that the between deficiency payment support with the current prices is available an interaction. Accordingly, it may be advisable to discuss of the different payment support with a participatory approach, taking into account the problems experienced in support policies in the past periods. The maintenance of such supports can be expressed as a requirement, since it is in property of being protected in terms of market prices. However, from one side, the place of support in the budget, from the other side. the effects on the producer's income taking into consideration should not be taken away from a balanced policy approach.

Abstract (sommario):

Abstract (sommario):
INTRODUCTION. Healthcare databases are a valuable source for epidemiological research in obstructive sleep apnoea, but accurately registered diagnoses are pivotal in contributing quality evidence. We examined positive predictive values (PPV) of the International Classification of Diseases, tenth version (ICD-10) diagnosis for “obstructive sleep apnoea” and “sleep apnoea” in the Danish National Patient Register. METHODS. Using the Danish National Patient Registry, we randomly sampled 100 patients from the North Denmark Region diagnosed with “obstructive sleep apnoea” (ICD-10 code DG4732) and 100 patients diagnosed with “sleep apnoea” (DG473*) during the year 2020. We calculated the PPV using a documented Apnea-Hypopnea Index (AHI) ≥ 5 to confirm the recorded diagnosis. A total of 70 patients were referred to the private sector for assessment of the AHI and excluded due to limited access to their data. RESULTS. The study population included 130 patients, among whom 64 were diagnosed with “obstructive sleep apnoea”, and 66 patients were registered with “sleep apnoea”. The PPV for “obstructive sleep apnoea” was 93.8% (95% confidence interval (CI): 85.0-97.5%), and the PPV for “sleep apnoea” was 80.3% (95% CI: 69.2-88.1%). CONCLUSIONS. Our findings indicated a high validity of the ICD-10 code DG4732 with a PPV of 93.8% and a lower PPV (80.3%) for the ICD-10 code DG473* for identifying patients with obstructive sleep. The “obstructive sleep apnoea” diagnosis is a suitable source of data for epidemiological research to identify patients with the disease. FUNDING. None. TRIAL REGISTRATION. Not relevant.

Abstract (sommario):
Although numerous radiologic parameters of abnormal hip joint morphology are utilized in practice, studies on the relation of these parameters to acetabular fractures are limited. This study hypothesized that certain morphological features of hip joints are associated with acetabular posterior wall (PW) fracture patterns and aimed to identify morphological characteristics predictive of acetabular PW fracture. The records of 107 consecutive patients, who were diagnosed with acetabular fractures in a level I trauma center from August 2017 to April 2021, were initially reviewed. After excluding patients who lacked proper radiographic evaluation and had previous surgery or concomitant injury on the ipsilateral lower limb, a total of 99 patients were analyzed to investigate the morphological characteristics of the hip joint, measured in computed tomography, associated with acetabular posterior wall fracture. We included patient demographics, acetabular index (AI), sharp angle, acetabular depth-to-width ratio (AD/WR), center-edge angle (CEA), head–neck offset ratio (HNOR), acetabular head index (AHI), anterior acetabular sector angle (AASA), posterior acetabular sector angle (PASA), and acetabular version angle (AVA) in the univariate and multivariate analyses. The injury mechanism (p = 0.001) and AD/WR (p = 0.021) were predictors of PW fracture in the univariate analysis. In the multivariable analysis, injury mechanism (p = 0.011), AI (coefficient B = 0.320; Exp (B) = 1.377; p = 0.017), and AD/WR (coefficient B = 33.047; Exp (B) = 2.250 × 1014; p = 0.028) were significant predictors of PW fracture. This study highlights the importance of morphological factors, such as a larger AI and AD/WR, that may influence joint stress distribution, resulting in acetabular PW fracture. Understanding these pathomechanisms may protect the hip joint and prevent future injuries through the early identification and treatment of pathological conditions.

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract Bee venom (BV) is a rich source of secondary metabolites from honeybees (Apis mellifera L.). It contains a variety of bioactive ingredients including peptides, proteins, enzymes, and volatile metabolites. This study investigated the antibacterial effects of the bee venom obtained from honey bees (Apis mellifera L.) against bacterial fish pathogens, such as Lactococcus garvieae (Lg1, Lg2, Lg3), Vibrio anguillarum (Va1, Va2, Va3), Yersinia ruckeri (Yr1, Yr2, Yr3), and Aeromonas hydrophila (Ah1, Ah2, Ah3) and the expression levels on the antibiotic resistance genes hly and fbp (hemolysin and fibronectin-binding prot) of them. It was determined that bee venom had an antibacterial effect against L. garvieae, L. anguillarum, and Y. ruckeri strains, while it had no effect only against Ah3 and Ah2 bacterial strains. As staded by the gene expression of hly (hemolysin) and fbp (fibronectin-binding protein), among the antibiotic resistance genes the effect levels of bee venom on bacterial species varied, although it affected antibiotic resistance and gene expression level in all bacteria. It was revealed that the expression level was the highest for V. anguillarum strains, whereas it was below the control group for L. garvieae. i.e the effect of bee venom on the resistance mechanism for L. garvieae was much less compared to V. anguillarum. Based on the results in the current study it could be concluded that applying bee venom to pathogenic bacteria that cause mortality in the aquaculture sector could induce the defense-related gene and change the broad-spectrum biocontrol activity at the molecular level.

Abstract (sommario):
China’s carbon intensity (CI) reduction target in 2030 needs to be allocated to each province in order to be achieved. Thus, it is of great significance to study the vertical linkage of CI change between China and its provinces. The existing research on the vertical linkage focuses more on energy-related economic sectors in China; however, attention has not been paid to China’s animal husbandry (AH) sector, although the role of the China’s AH sector in greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction is increasingly important. This study firstly established a vertical linkage of change in greenhouse gas emission intensity of the animal husbandry sector (AHGI) between China and its 31 provinces based on the logarithmic mean Divisia index (LMDI) decomposing method from the perspective of combining emission reduction with economic development, and quantified the contributions of each province and its three driving factors of environmental efficiency (AHEE), productive efficiency (AHPE), and economic share (AHES) to reducing China’s AHGI during the period of 1997–2016. The main results are: (1) The AHGI of China decreased from 5.49 tCO2eq/104 yuan in 1997 to 2.59 tCO2eq/104 in 2016, showing a 75.25% reduction. The AHGI in 31 provinces also declined and played a positive role in promoting the reduction of national AHGI, but there were significant inter-provincial differences in the extent of the contribution. Overall, the provinces with higher emission levels contributed the most to the reduction of China’s AHGI; (2) The AHPE and AHEE factors in 31 provinces cumulatively contributed to the respective 68.17% and 11.78% reduction of China’s AHGI, while the AHES factors of 31 provinces cumulatively inhibited the 4.70% reduction. Overall, the AHPE factor was the main driving factor contributing to the reduction of China’s AHGI. In the future, improving the level of AHEE through GHG emissions reduction technology and narrowing the inter-provincial gap of the level of AHPE are two important paths for promoting the reduction of China’s AHGI.

Abstract (sommario):
AbstractPeople surviving severe acquired brain injury (ABI) may potentially benefit from the Council of Australian Governments' (COAG) 5-year initiative for young people with disability in residential aged-care facilities. Yet critical examination of this policy initiative for ABI population is warranted for 2 reasons. First, reliance on the disability sector to resolve the complexities of long-term care for people with ABI detracts attention from systemic failures at the health/disability sector interface, and notably, debate concerning the role of, and right to rehabilitation. Second, the COAG initiative is being pursued within an extraordinarily complex and variable contemporary care environment, involving multiple services and sectors, and historically, high unmet need. This raises questions as to the adequacy and sustainability of care provided under the responsibility of state-based disability services. In this article, it is argued that long-term care for young people with severe ABI is better served by incorporating a health and rehabilitation perspective alongside a disability support approach. Although the effectiveness of rehabilitation may be contested in some instances of very severe ABI, nevertheless the role of rehabilitation in seeking to reduce the number of young people at risk of entering residential aged care needs to be addressed in policy solutions. It is also suggested that provision of long time care in the contemporary care environment involves a number of challenges due to the complex and changing patterns of need, diverse funding arrangements and mix of government and nongovernment services, and the increasing demand for care.

Abstract (sommario):
Artificial intelligence (A.I.) provides the ability to interpret massive amounts of data, which many industries are already taking advantage of. This contribution aims to investigate the potential applications of A.I. in healthcare in order to understand how it can help optimize resources in a sector that risks becoming unsustainable due to high costs and lengthy care processes. Because A.I. development is constantly evolving, the authors examined the relevant literature, focusing on the last decade to highlight the significant advances made during this time period. A scheme of uses based on the care phases is presented as a result of the analysis. This scheme, which is made up of 4 + 1 categories, can help frame and analyze potential uses. Before the conclusion, the last section of the contribution addresses the remaining challenges and discovers that there are at least three types of open issues that must be resolved before A.I. can be effectively used in healthcare, as well as other sectors. A.I may revolutionize the delivery of healthcare services, but this process must be guided because the technology does not appear to be sufficiently mature and solutions to several problems must be found.

Abstract (sommario):
e22512 Background: The W.H.O estimates that people with disabilities make up 15% of the world’s population. In the Horn of Africa (Djibouti, Kenya, Ethiopia & Uganda) there have been several disability inclusion programs in Education, livelihoods and empowerment through the Development Response to Displacement Impacts Project (DRDIP). In Kenya, the Government has continued to leverage on the private sector to accelerate progress towards inclusion. A strategic partnership with Safaricom enabled provision of Assistive devices and medical cover exceptional approval to a tune of USD 223,000 to Persons with Disabilities in the formal and informal economy in Kenya. Women CHVs were selected to reduce cultural barriers because many women in the communities are more comfortable being screened by a fellow woman. Objectives: To identify and deploy women living with disabilities as community health volunteers in the county EMPOWER Clinics; To build capacity of women living with disabilities and enable them to accurately screen for breast and cervical cancer. Methods: A total of 25 women living with disabilities and 7 able-bodied women from Meru and Kisumu counties were selected for the training program through county disability coordinators. The training program consisted of a basic community health volunteer (CHV) module and focused on Breast and cervical cancer awareness topics. The CHVs were equipped with mobile phones with assistive technology (AT) features such as braille keyboards, magnifiers, and text-to-speech technology. The training was delivered through Amref Health Innovations' (AHI) LEAP platform in collaboration with 5 county community health assistants. The CHVs' understanding of the material was evaluated through performance tracking on the LEAP platform. The CHVs were also given regular feedback on their progress, and any areas of difficulty were addressed through additional support and guidance. Results: The trained CHVs demonstrated an increased understanding of breast and cervical cancer screening, as well as the skills necessary to perform medical tactile breast exams. The trained CHVs were then commissioned to be integrated into the community health workforce, with a focus on breast and cervical cancer screening and awareness. Conclusions: The deployment of inclusion-centered learning for women Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) living with disabilities is a promising approach for improving access to health services for this marginalized group. This program provides a model for promoting disability inclusion in health services and underscores the need for continued investment in disability-inclusive programs. The findings of this program can inform the development of similar programs in other regions and contribute to the achievement of universal health coverage and health for all.

Abstract (sommario):
This paper evaluates the potential impact on the competitiveness of the Spanish Agri-Food Industry (AFI) of the economic strength of the two most important territorial factors that impact its development, namely the sector(s) of activity and the region(s) of operation within which each AFI enterprise operates. The importance of studying such topic centers on a two-part rationale, namely (i) the central role played by competitiveness in the survival, growth and profitability of any firm; and (ii) the pivotal position of the AFI within the manufacturing sector, as well as its proximity to the agricultural sector of the economy. The method of analysis adopted for these purposes is based upon the concepts of α and β convergence and upon shift-share analysis. As a final conclusion, it may be stated that the territorial development of the AFI does not tend to converge. Hence, it is necessary to study the specific regional and sectorial strategies that have been developed to carry out the competitive position of the AFI.

Abstract (sommario):
Cross-sector collaboration is increasingly relied upon to tackle society’s pressing and intractable problems. Chief among societal problems are unfavorable structural and social determinants of health. The ability to positively change these health determinants rests on the collaborative processes and structures of governance across diverse sectors in society. The purpose of this article is to present a conceptual framework that sheds light on the basic requirements of cross-sector collaboration for social change to promote the health of populations. A search for theoretical articles on cross-sector collaboration in the fields of public administration and public health was conducted within the journal databases ABI/INFORM Complete and MEDLINE. This search strategy was supplemented by an internet search of the grey literature for high-profile models of cross-sector collaboration. The conceptual framework builds on previous scholarly work by placing emphasis on five essential conditions for collective impact, and on the pivotal role of collective learning. Collective learning, at the basis of planning and taking action, is at the core of effective cross-sector initiatives, specifically because of its critical role in constantly adapting strategies to changing circumstances and unanticipated situations within complex socio-ecological systems.

Abstract (sommario):
This paper presents the application of the Logarithmic Mean Divisia Index Decomposition Analysis (LMDI) to the aggregate carbon intensity (ACI) of the power sector in Colombia in the period 1990–2020, with the aim of identifying the main drivers influencing the ACI change. The analysis performed identifies the main drivers among: carbon intensity, generation efficiency, and contribution of fossil generation at the specific and total level of electricity production. The analysis is performed at the aggregate and disaggregated level of fossil fuels. Due to the highly variable behavior of the ACI, a multi-temporal decomposition is performed in the eight presidential administrations in the period of analysis. For each period, the main drivers are identified and the energy policy implications and their effects on the operation and management of the power sector are analyzed. The results show that the main driver is the fossil share of total energy production. Important effects on thermal generation efficiency and fossil energy mix were also identified in some analysis periods. The need for effective long-term policies and regulation in relation to the factors influencing the ACI was identified. It is recommended to accelerate the diversification of the energy mix of the power sector and the permanent monitoring of the behavior of the drivers.

Abstract (sommario):
Population health improvements can be achieved through work made possible by government spending on health care, public health, and social services. The extent to which spending allocations across these sectors is synergistic with or trade-off against one another is unknown. Achieving a balanced portfolio with multi-sector contributions is key to improving health outcomes. This study tested competing hypotheses regarding achievement of balanced multi-sector resources for health. County-level U.S. Census Bureau data on all local governmental spending measured each county’s average per capita local government spending for public hospitals, public health, social services, and education. American Hospital Association (AHA) Annual Survey data on hospital community health service provision were used to calculate an index of hospital community service provision aggregated to county level by year. County Health Rankings data measured each county’s health outcomes and health factors. Longitudinal mixed-effects regression models (n = 1877 counties) predicted changes in spending for each government spending category based on two sets of predictors ( government spending vs community health services and needs) from current and prior year. Models account for average spending in each category and county-, state-, and time-trends. Models showed that spending increases in each of the four spending categories examined (public hospitals, public health, social services, and education) were not associated with changes in spending across other categories in current or prior years. For all categories, an increase from baseline spending levels in Year 1 was always significantly associated with an increase from baseline spending level in that same category in Year 2 (ie, spending stayed above baseline in Year 2). Multi-sector initiatives to health outcomes require funding across sectors, yet there was little evidence to suggest that communities that invest in public hospitals, public health, or other social services see commensurate increases in other areas. Underlying funding decisions may reflect strategic decisions within a community to scale up single sectors, constrained resources for multi-sector scale up, or a host of additional factors not measured here.

Abstract (sommario):
The software for the e-procurement system was developed based on .NET Core RESTful API with Open API specifications. The server side uses RESTful API which ensures compatibility with the ma-jority of clients and enables them to exchange information in JSON format. The authentication and authorization flow was implemented using OAuth open standard paired with Microsoft Identity Service. User roles and functionality were handled with a standalone service for authentication and registration that made our system efficient and scalable. Business logic was designed to be split into micro-services accessible through rout-ing controllers. This approach allowed us to separate the responsibilities between the server and the client side. Special authorization headers passed during modi-fication queries allowed us to control and restrict access to particular resources for unauthorized users. The distributed cache mechanism inside the data repository level was used in order to increase the responsiveness of the system. The state handling subsystem was designed utilizing Finite State Machine concepts. The developed system was verified using unit and integration tests.

Abstract (sommario):
BackgroundA national accreditation policy for the Australian primary healthcare (PHC) system was initiated in 2008. While certification standards are mandatory, little is known about their effects on the efficiency and sustainability of organisations, particularly in the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) sector.AimThe literature review aims to answer the following: to what extent does the implementation of the International Organisation for Standardization 9001:2008 quality management system (QMS) facilitate efficiency and sustainability in the ACCHS sector?MethodsThematic analysis of peer-reviewed and grey literature was undertaken from Australia and New Zealand PHC sector with a focus on First Nations people. The databases searched included Medline, Scopus and three Informit sites (AHB-ATSIS, AEI-ATSIS and AGIS-ATSIS). The initial search strategy included quality improvement, continuous quality improvement, efficiency and sustainability.ResultsSixteen included studies were assessed for quality using the McMaster criteria. The studies were ranked against the criteria of credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. Three central themes emerged: accreditation (n=4), quality improvement (n=9) and systems strengthening (n=3). The accreditation theme included effects on health service expenditure and clinical outcomes, consistency and validity of accreditation standards and linkages to clinical governance frameworks. The quality improvement theme included audit effectiveness and value for specific population health. The theme of systems strengthening included prerequisite systems and embedded clinical governance measures for innovative models of care.ConclusionThe ACCHS sector warrants reliable evidence to understand the value of QMSs and enhancement tools, particularly given ACCHS (client-centric) services and their specialist status. Limited evidence exists for the value of standards on health system sustainability and efficiency in Australia. Despite a mandatory second certification standard, no studies reported on sustainability and efficiency of a QMS in PHC.

This paper analyzes the drivers behind the changes of the Aggregate Carbon Intensity (ACI) of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) power sector in five periods between 1990 and 2017. Since 1990 the carbon intensity of the world has been reduced almost 8.8% whereas the carbon intensity of LAC countries only decreased 0.8%. Even though by 2017 the regional carbon intensity is very similar to the one observed by 1990, this index has showed high variability, mainly in the last three years when the ACI of LAC fell from 285 gCO2/kWh in 2015 to 257.7 gCO2/kWh. To understand what happened with the evolution of the carbon intensity in the region, in this paper a Logarithmic Mean Divisia for Index Decomposition Analysis (IDA-LMDI) is carried out to identify the accelerating and attenuating drivers of the ACI behavior along five periods. The proposal outperforms existing studies previously applied to LAC based upon a single period of analysis. Key contributions are introduced by considering the type of fuel used in power plants as well as specific time-series of energy flows and CO2 emissions by country. Results reveal structural reasons for the increase of the ACI in 1995–2003 and 2008–2015, and intensity reasons for the decrease of the ACI in 1990–1995, 2003–2008 and 2015–2017.

Abstract (sommario):
e19015 Background: In a dramatic reversal of trends, cancer now kills more Africans each year than malaria. Should trends continue, Africa’s cancer burden is projected to double to over 2 million new cases and over 1.4 million deaths annually by 2040. Africa’s burgeoning cancer crisis is attributable to many factors, including insufficient preventive, diagnostic, and treatment services; inadequate clinical infrastructure; and shortages of trained healthcare personnel. Methods: BVGH launched the African Access Initiative (AAI) in 2017 to address Africa’s cancer crisis. Utilizing a holistic approach that establishes sustainable access to cancer medicines, strengthens healthcare infrastructure, and builds clinical oncology capacity, BVGH is eliminating or minimizing many of the challenges African clinicians face when diagnosing and treating cancer patients. Complementing its innovative approach, BVGH engages experts across sectors to build capacity and execute programs. African ministries of health and cancer leaders are engaged to ensure AAI activities are driven by their priorities and needs. AAI is not a donation-based program. Pharmaceutical companies are engaged to ensure access to quality, lifesaving cancer drugs in a sustainable and patient-focused manner. International cancer experts are enlisted in capacity building programs that directly align with their expertise and meet their global oncology goals. Results: BVGH is applying its multi-faceted, multi-sector model in Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Senegal. In partnership with Nigeria’s Ministry of Health, BVGH held a cancer stakeholder meeting to define the country’s priority cancers, drugs, and treatment regimens. Following the meeting, BVGH launched an RFP to pharmaceutical companies and subsequently developed reports that forecast full treatment costs based on the companies’ offerings of deeply-discounted drug prices. While simultaneously coordinating drug access, BVGH began planning training refreshers to ensure recipient Nigerian hospitals were ready to use the prioritized cancer drugs successfully. Beyond Nigeria, BVGH has improved Rwanda’s ability to diagnose cancer efficiently; improved Côte d'Ivoire’s multidisciplinary approach to diagnosing and treating cancer patients; and helped Kenya refine its cancer patient sample referral mechanisms. Conclusions: This presentation will describe BVGH’s holistic, multi-sector approach to addressing Africa’s cancer crisis, including partners, activities, lessons learned, and best practices.

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract Diagnosis of myocardial fibrosis has a relevant prognostic and therapeutic role. Scar–tissue analysis is commonly performed with late gadolinium contrast–enhanced (CE) cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR). However, CMR might be contraindicated or unavailable. Coronary computed tomography (CCT), which is the technique of choice for many routine assessments, is emerging as an alternative to CMR. The objective of this study is to evaluate whether artificial intelligence (AI) could allow identification of myocardial fibrosis from routine early CE–CCT images. Fifty consecutive patients with left ventricular dysfunction (LVD), who underwent both CE–CMR and (early and late) CE–CCT were retrospectively selected. According to the late enhancement CMR patterns, patients were classified as with ischemic (n=15, 30%) or non–ischemic (n=25, 70%) LVD. Scar regions were manually traced on late CE–CCT using CE–CMR as ground–truth. On early CE–CCT images, the myocardial sectors were extracted according to AHA 16–segment model and labeled as with scar or not based on the late CE–CCT manual tracing. A deep–learning model was developed to classify each sector (Picture 1). Of the initial 44187 sectors computed out of the 8285 slices available from the early CE–CCT images, 4594 sectors (10%) presented scar. The CNN approach on the early CE–CCT images yielded a classification accuracy for all sectors of 71% (95% confidence interval (CI): 63%–79%) obtained through 5–fold cross validation. The mean sensitivity, positive predictive value (PPV) and negative predictive value (NPV) for the testing fold resulted in 73% (95% CI: 66%–79%), 56% (95% CI: 48%–65%) and 85% (95% CI: 82%– 88%), respectively. The mean AUC across the five folds was 76% (95% CI: 72%–81%). In a per–segment analysis of the 16–segment AHA model the bull’s eye segmental comparison of CE–CMR and respective early CE–CCT findings an 91% agreement was achieved (Picture 2). Artificial intelligence can detect both ischemic and non–ischemic myocardial fibrosis from routine noninvasive coronary scans, without additional contrast–agent administration or radiational dose, thus assisting diagnosis and management of patients with LV dysfunction and coronary artery disease.

Abstract (sommario):
Blockchain technology (BCT) is an emerging technology. Cybersecurity challenges in BCT are being explored to add greater value to business processes and reshape business operations. This scoping review paper was aimed at exploring the current literature’s scope and categorizing various types of cybersecurity challenges in BCT. Databases such as Elsevier, ResearchGate, IEEE, ScienceDirect, and ABI/INFORM Collection (ProQuest) were searched using a combination of terms, and after rigorous screening, 51 research studies were found relevant. Data coding was performed following a framework proposed for scoping review. After careful analysis, thirty different types of cybersecurity challenges in BCT were categorized into six standardized classes. Our results show that most of the studies disclose cybersecurity challenges in BCT generally without pointing to any specific industry sector, and to a very little extent, few papers reveal cybersecurity challenges in BCT related to specific industry sectors. Also, prior studies barely investigated the strategies to minimize cybersecurity challenges in BCT. Based on gap identification, future research avenues were proposed for scholars.

The main activities in granite mining consist of stripping the overburden, drilling, blasting, dismantling, loading and transporting to the processing unit (crushing plant) with the distance from the mining front to the processing unit namely ± 1.7 km. Area of 40 Ha Mining Business Permit is located in Jurung village. The granite mining activities carried out by PT ABI are carried out with an open-pit mining system. Based on the PT ABI work plan for the production target of transporting granite in January 2018 is 13,000 BCM, while the actual production is only 9,085 BCM with unattainable 3,915 BCM. The percentage of granite stone production reaches 69% of the work plan target. The cause of not achieving the production target value set by PT ABI can be influenced by several factors, one of which is the ineffective amount of work time wasted. ncreased work efficiency is done by making improvements to avoidable obstacles so that the working efficiency of the loading and excavating tool has increased from 75% to 78% and transportation equipment from 70% to 77.6% with production to 11,139 BCM. Addition of transportation equipment for 1 unit match factor so that it reaches the target of 13,000 BCM

Abstract (sommario):
Fashion Design, both in its theoretical foundation and practical application, is experiencing a significant cognitive transformation. This evolution is best interpreted not simply as a mere transition but as a continuous process of adaptation that affects professions, processes, and cultures (Anantrasirichai & Bull, 2022). This ongoing change necessitates a critical re-evaluation and recalibration of current ontological and epistemological frameworks (Dufva & Dufva, 2019; Kraus et al., 2021), emphasizing the need to redefine and reconsider the principles and methodologies in the Fashion Design field. In this context, the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) signifies the onset of an era of evolutions and revolutions in Fashion design thinking and practice, characterized by shifts, advancements, and radical changes (Ozmen Garibay et al., 2023). Fashion, traditionally reflective of societal, cultural, and economic dynamics, is now at a pivotal point due to the integration of AI into its processes. This transformation, both rapid and extensive, is reshaping the entire spectrum of the fashion industry, influencing various aspects such as design, production, customer purchasing experiences, and communication strategies (Särmäkari & Vänskä, 2022; Särmäkari, 2021). The second issue of Fashion Highlight Journal situates itself within this evolving landscape, endeavoring to unravel and comprehend the multifaceted implications of integrating artificial intelligence in the realm of fashion design. Through the diverse perspectives and insights offered by its contributors, this issue aims to delve into the intricate ways AI is reshaping fashion design’s traditional methodologies and creative processes. This issue particularly aims to encourage scholarly discussion regarding the interplay between fashion, artificial intelligence, and rights. It examines how the fashion sector, within a rapidly changing environment, is addressing key concerns related to pri vacy, intellectual property, inclusivity, skills development, and responsibility. A significant area of focus is exploring AI’s potential to maintain diversity, function inclusively, and protect individual identities, highlighting its critical role in the context of contemporary fashion.

Abstract (sommario):
Promoting technological advancements and energy transitions in electricity generation are crucial for achieving carbon reduction goals. Some studies have examined the effectiveness of these measures by analysing the driving forces of “aggregate carbon intensity” (ACI) change. However, only a few studies have considered the effect of the installed capacity mix and capacity factor. Moreover, such analysis has never been applied at China’s provincial level after 2015. To alleviate this gap, our study applied a temporal and multi-regional spatial IDA-LMDI model to analyse the driving factors of ACI changes and disparities among the provinces of China from 2005 to 2019. The model notably includes the effects of the installed capacity mix, thermal capacity factor, and overall capacity factor. The analysis revealed that the decline in China’s ACI was diminished after 2015, while an ACI rebound was identified in five provinces. The changes in the ACI from 2015 to 2019 were mainly driven by the effect of the installed capacity mix rather than by the thermal efficiency and thermal capacity factor. The overall capacity factor was the only factor with a negative impact on the ACI change. We also found that its combined effect with the thermal capacity factor on increasing ACI can offset the effect of the installed capacity mix by reducing the ACI in provinces with significant additions of renewable energy installed capacity. The analysis of the influencing factors on the provincial ACI differences revealed that the share of hydropower installed capacity was significant. Moreover, the thermal efficiency and thermal capacity factor both played key roles in the ACI disparities in northeast, northwest, and central China. Overall, this study paves the way for data-driven measures of China’s carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals by improving the capacity factor of wind and solar power, leveraging the critical impact of hydropower, and narrowing the differences in the thermal power sector among provinces.

Abstract (sommario):
This study aims to observe the effect of audit committee (AC) characteristics, namely AC size (ACS), AC independence (ACI), and AC meetings (ACM) on two financial performance indicators; return on assets (ROA) and Tobin’s Q. This study was conducted on 63 non-financial firms listed on the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) in Oman for the period from 2016 to 2019. Multiple regression techniques have been applied to analyze the data and get empirical results. The findings revealed that two of the three independent variables have an insignificant effect on financial performance, and ACI has a substantial negative effect on Tobin’s Q. Based on the findings, it can be implied that the corporate governance mechanism and AC structure in Omani firms need to be improved. Stricter control government authorities may be necessary to ensure that firms appoint AC members who can enhance the firm’s performance, and contribute to the country's economic expansion.

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract This research paper analyses the opportunities for the possible implementation of the latest technological innovations in the Romanian manufacturing industry. The latest trends in technology can be summed up by the term “Industry 4.0”, or the “Fourth Industrial Revolution”, which brings unprecedented levels of automation, thanks to recent breakthroughs in Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), robotics and much more. However, manufacturing sectors are not created equally and some are more susceptible to implementing new technologies than others. The industrial situation in Eastern and Central Europe is highly debated and complex. During the Cold War, most of the Warsaw Pact and COMECON countries were characterized, economically speaking, by rapid industrialization, be it heavy or light industry. This is also the case in Romania, as it saw an increase in industrial output during the communist era. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union and the collapse of the collectivist ideology, some manufacturing sectors collapsed, while new ones appeared, the case of deindustrialization in Central and Eastern Europe still being under scrutiny, as the industrial output has been more stable than we tend to believe. However, a shift did occur, especially in Romania. Following the transition to a market economy, industrial output suffered a metamorphosis, exchanging some sectors (such as the textile one) for new ones (such as the automotive one, following an increase in foreign direct investments from the West). These shifts in the manufacturing sector have an advantage in the unfolding context, as the new industries (such as auto-manufacturing) are more inclined to adopt Industry 4.0. These factors, in combination with the recent trend of reshoring, are prone to positively influence the future economic environment of Romania.

Abstract (sommario):
In recent years, there has been a significant rise in the importance of sustainability in business and personal life. Unsustainable techniques are used throughout the whole lifecycle of the clothing and textiles business, from the time it is made to the time it is recycled or thrown away. The garment sector and its customers must be ready for a more sustainable future as the government, corporations, and society turn their focus toward it. An investigation of how the apparel design industry (ADI) might adhere to the global value chain (GVC) in light of sustainable economic development (SED) and their relevance in China. This study analyzes the ADI moves up from one functional level to another within the global apparel value chain and what factors allow them to break into the global market. Researchers demonstrate that the existing sustainable operations in the AD industry are a long way from attaining the aims of economic development going hand in hand with the goals of economic sustainability by studying both the relevant literature and the industrial practices in the sector. This study relies on various case studies, proposes the “apparel global value chain” of governance-based sustainability, explores the implications of these models for areas with very varied degrees of development and diverse AD structures, and considers their implications for regional development and sustainability. As a development of a better knowledge of how fashion design contributes to economic sustainability. The study aims to examine how ADI uses economically sustainable techniques and how designers contribute to the creation of environmentally friendly goods.

Abstract (sommario):
Background: For many years, researches on Business Intelligence (BI) development have been popular in primary industry (trading, telecommunication, and manufacturing). Nevertheless, the academic sector has not been the primary beneficiary. This lack of practices also means there has been limited knowledge relating to the development of BI in the academic sectorObjective: This study presents the development of an Academic Business Intelligence (ABI). Taking an actual ABI development project in a small and medium-sized university in Indonesia context, it specifically sought to understand as to why the university needed an ABI and how it could be developed within the limited resources (funding, IT infrastructure and expertise). Methods: Following the business intelligence development roadmap, this study was able to develop an ABI as an attempt to provide a smart way for generating valuable information from scattered data interactively. It also successfully deployed the newly developed ABI into the existing IT legacy and then run a series of pilot testing involving the intended users. Results: The results showed the acceptance rate was high (87.25%) and suggested that the system found to be usable for conducting students' performance assessment and decision making faster. In short, this study contributes to the growing body of BI development literature by providing empirical evidence on how to successfully develop a BI within the unique context of the academic sector. Conclusion: Considering the findings, this study also draws practical recommendations and highlights a few limitations from which future study could address, especially when developing BI or similar ABI in particular.

Abstract (sommario):
Areca husk fibre is an agro-waste natural fibre that can be used in reinforced resin composites due to its low density, low cost and higher mechanical strength. Hard composites have applications in the packing industry and automobile industries. Over the years, researchers have been trying to develop lightweight, cheaper and efficient materials for them in daily life. In the present study, the Shore-D hardness level of chemically surface-modified unripe and ripe Areca Husk Fiber (AHF) reinforced polyester resin composites have been investigated. The unripe and ripe AHF are chemically treated through mercerization, potassium permanganate treatment, benzoylation, acrylation and acetylation methodologies to change their fibre-matrix bonding ability. The composites of chemically treated unripe and ripe AHF-reinforced polyester resin composites are fabricated, polyester resin as matrix material and methyl ethyl ketone peroxide (MEKPO) as a hardener. The Shore-D analysis was carried out to study the hardness properties of the composites. In conclusion, The acrylation treated AHF polyester resin composite shows a better harness among the other chemically treatments. Although, the fibre maturity of AHF increases the composite hardness except for benzoylation and acetylation chemical treatments. AHF-reinforced polyester resins can be used as hard materials in various applications such as automobile sectors, the packaging industry and more.

Abstract (sommario):
Abstract. The effect of Patagonian dust over primary producers in the Southern Ocean has long been disputed. Here we present new remote sensing evidence in favour of dust mediated biological response and postulate a hypothesis to explain the spatial relation observed. A new remote sensing definition of dust source areas based on the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Absorbing Aerosol Index (AAI) correlation is presented and interannual variation in AAI is evaluated within the source regions as a proxy for dust activity. Correlation of this data with annual chlorophyll concentration, phytoplankton biomass, and diatom dominance reveals a spatially coherent latitudinal band of positive correlation concentrated between the Polar Front and the Subtropical Front. This pattern is restricted to western areas in the biomass correlation and extends toward Africa for the chlorophyll and diatom correlation. This region is equivalent to the area of the Subantarctic Mode Water formation, characterized by a ratio Si : N ≪ 1 in late summer, an unfavourable condition for diatom development, especially under iron limitation. Therefore, due to Si–Fe co-limitation, the positive correlation could be the consequence of an enhanced sensibility of this area to external iron addition for diatom growth. For the Argentinean shelf-break, is not clear whether direct dust input and/or wind stress driving water masses upwelling could be responsible for the positive correlation.

Abstract (sommario):
AbstractWe investigate winter Arctic Amplification (AA) on synoptic timescales and at regional scales using a daily version of the Arctic Amplification Index (AAI) and examine causes on a synoptic scale. The persistence, frequency and intensity of high AAI events show significant increases over the Arctic. Similarly, low AAI events are decreasing in frequency, persistence and intensity. In both cases, there are regional variations in these trends, in terms of significance and timing. Significant trends in increasing persistence, frequency and intensity of high AAI events in winter are concentrated in the period 2000–2009, with few significant trends before and after this. There are some decreases in sea-ice concentration in response to synoptic-scale AA events and these AA events can contribute to the decadal trends in AA found in other studies. A sectoral analysis of the Arctic indicates that in the Beaufort–Chukchi and East Siberian–Laptev Seas, synoptic scale high AAI events can be driven by tropical teleconnections while in other Arctic sectors, it is the intrusion of moisture-transporting synoptic cyclones into the Arctic that is most important in synoptic-scale AA. The presence of Rossby wave breaking during high AAI events is indicative of forcing from lower latitudes, modulated by variations in the jet stream. An important conclusion is that the increased persistence, frequency and intensity of synoptic-scale high AAI events make significant contributions to the interannual trend in AA.

Abstract (sommario):
Eating-related challenges and discomforts arising from moderately acquired brain injuries (ABI)—including physiological and cognitive difficulties—can interfere with patients’ eating experience and impede the recovery process. At the same time, external environmental factors have been proven to be influential in our mealtime experience. This experimental pilot study investigates whether redesigning the sonic environment in hospital dining areas can positively influence ABI patients’ (n = 17) nutritional state and mealtime experience. Using a three-phase between-subjects interventional design, we investigate the effects of installing sound proofing materials and playing music during the lunch meals at a specialised ABI hospital unit. Comprising both quantitative and qualitative research approaches and data acquisition methods, this project provides multidisciplinary and holistic insights into the importance of attending to sound in hospital surroundings. Our results demonstrate that improved acoustics and music playback during lunch meals might improve the mealtime atmosphere, the patient well-being, and social interaction, which potentially supports patient food intake and nutritional state. The results are discussed in terms of potential future implications for the healthcare sector.

Abstract (sommario):
This research aimed to classify achievement factors for electrical engineering students at Tidar University using K-Means and Agglomerative Clustering classification algorithms. The goal was to understand if any parameters influence high-achieving student performance. The Indonesian government and private sector for university students provide significant education funds. Student scholarships are awarded based primarily on GPA and entry path, overburdening staff and causing confusion during distribution to eligible recipients. A system was needed to accommodate additional eligible criteria. The researcher selected factors to identify engineering student performance, including school origin, entry path, tuition fees, and GPA. These inputs could determine graduation status. The results compared calculation methods based on collected data accuracy, processing times, and characterizing clustered data to determine the best classification method. Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering performed better. Accuracy testing on 600 training data points yielded 73.94% for improved K-means and 90.42% for AHC. The Average processing time was 674.92 seconds for improved K-means and 554.35 seconds for AHC. Silhouette testing also characterized calculation methods, with improved K-means scoring best at 0.654 and AHC at 0.787 using two clusters.

Abstract (sommario):
Due to the increasing importance of websites as elements of digital corporate identity, website quality has become an area of great importance in practice and academic research. The goal of the research is to evaluate the quality dimensions of the website and determine their importance in choosing the most desirable option among several competing options. Given that the online visibility of companies from the construction industry is unsatisfactory, this sector was selected for the research, and the Web pages of selected companies from this sector were analyzed. By using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, it was examined which dimensions of quality have the greatest influence on the quality of a Web page. It was found that loading speed (0.703) and information quality (0.554) have the greatest influence on the quality of the website. The results of the research can be used by companies and Web designers in practice, in order to make the proper decisions regarding website content, design and functionality and their use in the context of improving the digital corporate identity.

Abstract (sommario):
The isothermal heat treatment process has been identified as a unique process of fabricating exceptional graphite cast iron due to its remarkable mechanical properties, such as excellent machinability, toughness, and high level of ultimate tensile strength. Austempered ductile iron (ADI), ductile iron (DI), and gray cast iron (GCI), known as spheroidal cast irons, are viable alternative materials compared to traditional steel casting, as well as aluminum casting. The graphite nodules from the microstructures of DI, ADI, and GCI are consistently encompassed by acicular ferrite and carbon-saturated austenite in the matrix, forming a distinctive ausferritic structure. All these materials are extensively used in the fabrication of engine sleeves, engine blocks, valves, gears, and camshafts in the automobile sector. With relative motion and outward loads, these components are regularly exposed to surface contact. In this project, it was observed that austempering temperature and a shorter holding period could also be used to manufacture needle-like ferrite platelets for austempered ductile iron (ADI) and other graphite cast irons. To overcome the brittleness challenges and catastrophic failures encountered by applied loads in present-day applications, it is essential to comprehend the isothermal treatments, morphological behaviors, phase analyses, processing techniques, and mechanical properties needed to properly incorporate these materials into future designs. This review article provides detailed information on the characterization and relevant potential mechanisms of ADI, DI, and GCI.
