Показано довгострокову результуючу дію комплексу факторів, що склалися у Кременчуцькому водосховищі, на морфометричні показники ляща (Abramis brama L.). На зазначеній водоймі традиційним сітковим промислом уже понад 40 років вилучаються особини ляща з кращими показниками екстер’єру, що приводить до виживання особин із певним напрямом мінливості, зсуву середнього показника у той чи інший бік. У результаті досліджень встановлено функціональну відповідність морфології умовам навколишнього середовища.

Капшагайское водохранилище – это один из крупных рыбохозяйственных водоемов Казахстана. В настоящее время в водохранилище основную долю в уловах соствляют карповые виды рыб, среди которых доминирует лещ (Abramis brama L.). Известно, что характер формирования биопродукционного потенциала экосистем водоемов во многом определяется питанием и формированием пищевых взаимоотношений рыб на разных этапах развития. Поскольку лещ (Abramis brama L.), сазан (Cyprinus carpio L.) и вобла (Rutilus rutilus caspicus J.) имеют сходные спектры питания, были изучены их особенности и характер конкуренции за пищевые ресурсы. Приводятся данные мониторинговых исследований по питанию рыб, проведенных в весенний период 2018-2021 гг. Для характеристики особенностей питания вычислялся процент встречаемости, относительная масса кормовых компонентов и индекс наполнения желудочно-кишечных трактов рыб. На основании приводимых данных выявлены пищевые взаимоотношения между исследованными видами.

Приведены результаты сравнительного исследования лейкоцитарной формулы леща Abramis brama, обитающего в Иваньковском, Угличском и Рыбинском водохранилищах. Между особями всех исследованных водохранилищ в периферической крови, пронефросе и селезёнке зафиксированы достоверные различия по содержанию палочкоядерных нейтрофилов и эозинофилов. Наиболее высокий индекс обилия лейкоцитов отмечен у лещей Угличского водохранилища.

Проведено исследование микрофлоры леща (Abramis brama L.) Вислинского залива с видимыми патологиями на кожных покровах. Микробиологический анализ пораженных участков кожи и измененных внутренних органов выявил наличие большого количества штаммов условно-патогенных Аeromonas allosaccharophila и санитарно-значимых Сitrobacter freundii бактерий. У леща также отмечено носительство патогенных бактерий Aeromonas hydrophila, обнаруженных в составе микрофлоры кожи. Идентифицированные микроорганизмы при существовании в ассоциациях друг с другом и наличии отрицательно действующих факторов среды способны инициировать инфекционный процесс у леща Вислинского залива

Досліджено розподілення метацеркарії в трема-тод Paracoenogonimus ovatus (Katsurada, 1914) ум’язовій тканині популяції прісноводних риб, а саме:тарані (Rutilus rutilus), густери (Blicca bjoerkna), ляща(Abramis brama), карася (Carassius gibelio), червоно-пірки (Scardinius erythrophthalmus), щуки (Esox lucius),судака (Sander lucioperca). Показано, що максималь-на кількість метацеркаріїв P. ovatus локалізувалася уділянці спинних м’язів, а саме поблизу спинного плав-ця та становила 41,3 % від загальної кількості вияв-лених паразитів. Мінімальні показники кількості ме-тацеркаріїв трематоди спостерігали в ділянці аналь-ного плавця – 2,1 %. The distribution of metacercariae of trematodes Paracoenogonimus ovatus (Katsurada, 1914) in the muscle tissue of the population of freshwater fish, such as: roach (Rutilus rutilus), silver bream (Blicca bjoerkna), bream (Abramis brama), crucian (Carassius gibelio), rudd (Scardinius erythrophthalmus), pike (Esox lucius), pikeperch (Sander lucioperca). It is shown that the maximum number of metacercariae P. ovatus was localized in the dorsal muscles, namely near the dorsal fin and amounted to 41,3 % of the total number of identified parasites. The minimum number of indicators fluke metacercariae is observed in the anal fin – 2,1 %.

The fish were found to have been translocated into the reservoir by anglers from the native population of Lake Durusu (İstanbul). AbstractRibosomal internal transcribed spacer 2 (ITS2) structure was studied in monozoic tapeworms Caryophyllaeus laticeps (Pallas, 1781) from freshwater bream Abramis brama (L.) and white-eyed bream Ballerus sapa (Pallas) and Caryophyllaeus brachycollis Janiszewska, 1951 from A. brama and Mediterranean barbel Barbus meridionalis (Risso). Homologous intragenomic ITS2 structure (474 bp) was determined for C. brachycollis from both fish hosts and for C. laticeps from A. brama (486 bp). Contrary to this, divergent intragenomic ITS2 copies (ITS2 paralogues) were detected in C. laticeps from B. sapa. They were mostly induced by different numbers of short repetitive motif (TA)n within the sequences, allowing their assortment into two ITS2 variants (457 and 467 bp). Current data represent first information on ITS2 structure/ITS paralogues in the caryophyllidean family Caryophyllaeidae with focus on their applicability in the molecular taxonomy of the genus Caryophyllaeus.

Trypanosomes are flagellated protozoa; they parasitize in the blood of a wide range of vertebrates and invertebrates, including fish, for which leeches are carriers. The metabolites released by trypanosomes are toxic to the host, cause disruption of homeostasis, which leads to illness and even death. Parasites in fish living in hot climates are the most common and better studied. Trypanosomes were first detected in common bream (Abramis brama L.) from the Uglich Reservoir (Upper Volga) in August 2015. The aim of this work is to study the effect of these parasites on the hematological parameters of the fish. As a control, blood indices of uninfected fish were used. The condition factor of infected fish did not differ from that of healthy fish. There were no significant differences between the two groups of fish in contents of total serum protein and glycemia. This may indicate a low level of bream parasitemia. At the same time, a significant increase in the leukocyte abundance index was detected, which indirectly indicates an increase in the number of these cells in the infected fish compared with the control ones, statistically significant differences were found in the leukogram: the proportion of eosinophils in the diseased fish increased almost 6 times while the relative number of lymphocytes decreased. The pattern of red blood also changed: the proportion of immature erythrocytes increased in the infected fish; a small number of microcytes and amitoses of erythrocytes and differences in the cytometric characteristics of red blood cells were found. The level of hemoglobin significantly decreased. A sharp increase in the content of circulating immune complexes indicates a shift in antigenic homeostasis caused by the presence of parasites. A similarity in the reaction of a number of indicators of the blood system of bream with trypanosomiasis to that of animals of higher systematic groups was revealed. The interpretation of the results obtained during the study of the effect of parasites on the host organism requires consideration of its physiological status and habitat conditions, the stage of the disease and the mechanism of adaptation of the parasite to the host defense system.

AbstractA total of 40 carp bream, Abramis brama (L.) from Lake Jamno were examined for their parasites in May 2002. Lake Jamno is a brackish-water coastal lagoon, strongly eutrophied and polluted by communal and industrial sewage from the city of Koszalin. The survey yielded 15 parasite species, representing different systematic groups, including 7 monogeneans Dactylogyrus auriculatus, D. falcatus, D. wunderi, D. zandti, Gyrodactylus elegans, Gyrodactylus sp., Diplozoon paradoxum; 4 digeneans (at the stage of metacercaria) Diplostomum sp., Tylodelphys clavata, Ichthyocotylurus platycephalus, I. variegatus; 1 cestode Caryophyllaeus laticeps; 2 crustaceans Ergasilus sieboldi, Argulus foliaceus; and 1 hirudinean Caspiobdella fadejewi. Monogeneans constituted the most abundant parasite group, accounting for 61.5 % of all parasite individuals collected. They were followed by the cestodes (20.7 %), digenean flukes (16 %), crustaceans (0.7 %), and leeches (0.2 %).

Mucus boluses, found in the oropharyngeal cavity of a large number of freshly caught bream (Abramis brama), appear to play an important role in the aggregation and transport of food particles from the branchial sieve to the esophagus. Mucus boluses, some containing up to 900 zooplankters, were isolated from the oropharyngeal cavity of bream, and from these the filtering rate and retention ability of the filtering system were calculated. Using light microscopy and special staining methods, we identified different types of mucus cells in the oropharyngeal wall of bream that increase in number from anterior to posterior. Based on these data and on our knowledge of branchial sieving, we have hypothesized the role of mucus in the filter feeding mechanism of bream. Initially, small particles are retained mechanically in the branchial sieve, eventually becoming coated with mucus. They then act as "sticky" particles with respect to other mucus-coated particles. During recollection from the branchial sieve following closed protrusion of the mouth, the sticky particles adhere to one another forming a mucus bolus that is stored at the posterior end of the branchial chamber. After several of these cycles over a period of several minutes the bolus is swallowed.

Исследованы биологические показатели леща (Abramis bra-ma L.) – одного из самых многочисленных видов и основного объекта промысла в Волгоградском водохранилище. Проанализированы данные по размерно-возрастному составу и количественным характеристикам леща в промысловых уловах различных типов орудий и на различных участках водоема. Согласно исследованиям 2014–2018 гг. популяция леща находится в стабильном состоянии. В уловах доминируют четырех-восьмилетки. В 90-е годы прошлого века возрастная структура была нестабильна и характеризовалась пилообразной кривой населения леща. По более ранним данным, с 1970–1998 гг. доминирующей возрастной группой также были четырех-восьмилетки. Показатели размерно-возрастных характеристик близки к среднемноголетним значениям. Средний возраст нерестовой части популяции составляет 6,3 года. Условия для нереста и нагульных угодий для молоди в 2018 г. были неблагоприятными. С 2016 г. по настоящее время можно наблюдать изменения в промысле после его реорганизации, заключающейся в выделении рыболовных участков по всей акватории Волгоградского водохранилища. Рост промышленного вылова с 371 до 472 т говорит о положительном эффекте реорганизации промысла. О стабильном состоянии популяции леща свиде-тельствует тот факт, что доминирующая возрастная группа осталась неизменной. Согласно динамике качественных характеристик леща, вылавливаемого различ-ными орудиями лова, интенсификация промысла является предельной.

In most cases in natural environments, hybrids of roach Rutilus rutilus L. and bream Abramis brama L. possess mitochondrial DNA of bream. Presumably, the genetic basis for unidirectional hybridization of roach and bream is the high level of divergence in the genes of the mitochondrial electron transport chain (cytochrome b and cytochrome c oxidase subunits I, III). Disruption of the interaction of the products of these genes leads to nuclear-cytoplasmic incompatibility of alien genomes, what is shown in a decrease of viability and developmental abnormalities in hybrids. In the present work we studied the viability and morphology of hybrid underyearlings obtained by crossing of hybrid females of first generation (RA and AR) with males of roach R. rutilus and bream A. brama. The method of genotyping (ITS1 ribosomal DNA, cytochrome b mtDNA) and comparative analysis of the complex of 23 plastic and meristic characteristics of backcrossed hybrids are used. All progenies showed an increase in morphological variability compared to parental species and F1 hybrids. In progenies with introgression of mtDNA, a violation of associations between traits and the formation of transgressive phenotypes that go beyond the parental populations were found. In RAA backcrosses (combining mtDNA of R. rutilus and nuclear genome of A. brama) a decrease in viability with impaired recovery of external traits of bream was found. Conversely, ARR backcrosses (combining mtDNA of A. brama and the nuclear genome of R. rutilus) have a high viability and completely restore the morphotype of roach, which indicates the stable development of hybrids when they include alien genetic material. The differences in viability and morphology between backcrossed hybrids with the mtDNA of R. rutilus and A. brama evidence varying degrees of nuclear-cytoplasmic compatibility of the genomes of roach and bream. The complete interaction between mitochondrial and nuclear DNA from different species (wild-type-like) happens in direction of introgression mtDNA of A. brama, the less polymorphic of the two parental genomes. In the direction of introgression of highly polymorphic mtDNA of R. rutilus the formation of a reproductive barrier occurs. Our results show that the main reason for the asymmetry of hybridization of R. rutilus and A. brama is unequal rates of mitochondrial evolution and the priority of the introgression of mtDNA belongs a species with a lower rate of changes in mtDNA.

The commonest species, M. bramae showed a prevalence of 33%, while the other species occurred sporadically. Myxobolus bramae and M. macrocapsularis infected the tips of the gill filaments and caused both intralamellar and interlamellar infection. Intralamellar plasmodia of small size developed in the capillary network of the gill lamellae whereas the much larger interlamellar plasmodia were formed in the arteria afferens. The intralamellar plasmodia of M. hungaricus always infected the basal or central part of the gill filaments. In contrast to the above species developing in the blood vessels, M. impressus proved to be an epithelial parasite, as its plasmodia always developed in the adjacent gill filaments of two opposite haemibranchia, in the stratified epithelium between the respiratory plates, causing changes of the haemibranchium which were well visible even by the naked eye.

Wild spawners of common bream, Abramis brama, were caught in the Kortowskie Lake (north Poland) and transported to a hatchery for artificial spawning. Fish were hormonally induced using GnRH analogue combined with metoclopramide (ovopel). The results of bream reproduction in captivity were compared with fish treated with the combination of hCG and CPE and with control group injected saline. Males from treated groups produced significantly more milt (over 4.3 ml/kg vs. 2.1) of better qualities: spermatozoon concentration (over 9.3&nbsp;&times; 10<sup>9</sup> vs. 6.8) and motility (over 85% vs. 62). Females from the control group did not spawn whereas those from hormonally induced groups ovulated: 62% after CPE treatment and 100% after GnRHa treatment. Generally, the fish after ovopel stimulation showed the best hatchery parameters. &nbsp;

The hypothesis that the variability in prey-size selection of filter-feeding bream (Abramis brama) is related to sieve adjustment was tested by feeding bream of approximately 20 and 30 cm standard length with daphnids. The size-selective feeding observed in experiments was compared with predicted selectivity curves derived from the channel width of branchial sieves, total filtered volume, and the retention probability of prey in the reduced or unreduced channels. The relationship between mesh size and retention probability of Daphnia of known length was determined empirically in sieving experiments using commercial sieves. The results with 20-cm fish demonstrated that the variability in prey selection of bream can be explained by the adjustment of its filter in two distinct mesh sizes. The relationship between filter adjustment and zooplankton availability was not always clear. The retention ability of large bream (>30 cm) was in close accordance with the model prediction for filter-feeding with reduced channels.

The aim of this paper was to examine cholesterol content in meat of five Cyprinidae species: white bream (Bllica bjoerkna L), carp bream (Abramis brama L), baltic vimba (Vimba vimba carinata Pallas), zope (Abramis balerus L) and crucian carp (Carassius carassius gibelio Bloch) from the river Danube. Cholesterol content was examined in the function of season factor and individual weight. Cholesterol concentration in meat of white bream carp bream, baltic vimba, zope and crucian carp is on average level below 20 mg/100 g of meat, which makes meat of these fish species nutritively very valuable. Cholesterol content is variable during the season. Its concentration in meat and in lipids is lowest during spring, during summer it increases and during autumn decreases, except in meat of white bream. Body weight has influence on cholesterol content when its concentration is expressed as % of cholesterol in lipids. Its content in lipids decreases with increasing of individual weight, except in meat of carp bream.
