Résumé :
The autobiographical impulse and act is central to woman's writing in India. The range of Indian women's writing generates an unending discourse on personalities, woman's emotions and ways of life. In a way, it presents the socio-cultural state in India from a woman's stance. It affords a peep into Indian feminism too. Besides giving a historical perspective, it throws ample light on woman's psychic landscape. It takes us to the deepest emotions of a woman's inner being. The varied aspects of woman's personality find expression in the female autobiographical literature. We find that a deeper study of women’s autobiographies unravel the hidden recesses of feminine psyche of Indian society. Whatsoever the position of women maybe, behind every social stigma, there is woman, either in the role of mother-in-law, sister‑in‑law or wife. The women writers with sharp linguistic, cultural and geographical environment represented the problems and painful stories of Indian women from 19th century until date. However, they have not shared the contemporary time of the history, the problems of patriarchal society, treatment women, broken marriages and the identity crises for the women remained similar. Women writers have also been presenting woman as the centre of concern in their novels. Women oppression, exploitation, sob for liberation are the common themes in their fiction. Dalip Kaur Tiwana is one of the most distinguished Punjabi novelists, who writes about rural and innocent women’s physical, psychological and emotional sufferings in a patriarchal society. As a woman, she feels women’s sufferings, problems, barricades in the path of progress as well as the unrecognized capabilities in her. Dalip Kaur Tiwana has observed Indian male dominated society very closely and has much understanding of social and ugly marginalization of women. She can be considered a social reformer as she is concerned with human conditions and devises for the betterment of women's condition in Indian Punjabi families. This paper focuses on the theme of feminist landscape. It presents the miserable plight of women characters. She has come across since her childhood. Women, who felt marginalized, alienated, isolated and detached in their lives, but were helpless as no law was there in her time to punish the outlaws. Dalip Kaur Tiwana beautifully portrays the landscape of her mind. The paper shows how Dalip Kaur Tiwana presents the unfortunate image of her mother, grandmother aunts and some other obscure women who were unable to mete out justice during their life time.

Résumé :
Abstract Objectives: to evaluate the association between dietary intake during pregnancy and different gestational clinical conditions (hypertensive, diabetics, smokers, having intrauterine growth restriction and a control group) and associated factors. Methods: cross-sectional study nested in a cohort study from 2011 to 2016 that occurred in three hospitals in Porto Alegre (Brazil). Sociodemographic conditions and prenatal were investigated and maternal feeding practices were analyzed by the Food Frequency Questionnaire. To calculate the caloric percentage from food groups, food items were categorized into:unprocessed or minimally processed, processed and ultra-processed foods. The Kruskal-Wallis test with Dunn's post-hoc compared food consumption between the groups and the Poisson regression evaluated the association between the variables. Results: there was no statistical difference in food intake among 303 mothers of different gestational clinical conditions, but diabetic pregnant women had lower caloric contribution value of ultra-processed foods. In addition, pregnant women from all groups showed adequate consumption in relation to the percentage of caloric contribution of macronutrients in the total energy value. Conclusions: there was no difference in energy consumption according to different gestational clinical conditions. In diabetic, smokers and hypertensive pregnant women, associations between total energy intake and different sociodemographic factors were observed between the groups.

They are confident that they can achieve anything in life. But a woman cannot live alone in society. They live on orders in one way or another. In the end, the woman's condition is reduced to a very bad state, no matter what mistakes the woman makes in her life. Women bear more responsibilities. Whether a man makes mistakes or a man makes mistakes, the woman ultimately accepts the consequences. In this way, the problems caused by men to women in devibharathi short story are manifestations of male and female relationship. Résumé :
The article is written on the analysis of 15 semi-structured interviews with nail artists working in the city of Saint Petersburg. The beauty industry is identified as a “woman's” professional sphere according to symbolic and quantitative indicators. Care, provision of services and work on the creation of attractiveness are symbolically identified as the “woman’s” sphere in culture. Women outnumber men in professions of the beauty industry, and the clients are mostly women. The distinguishing characteristic of interaction between the nail artist and the woman client is that it includes emotional work and care in the situation of body contact. As opposed to the medical field, care is visible in the beauty industry because it deals with the client’s visual image; it can be controlled and evaluated by her. The purpose of the article is to describe the construction of masculinity by nail artists in the field of visible care of the woman clients’ bodies in the beauty industry. In the empirical part of the text, we identified and described the practices that nail artists follow within the framework of models of four structures indicated by Raewyn Connell; power relation, production relation, emotional relation and symbolic relation of the model. Men from the beauty industry which is identified as a “woman’s” sphere, produce hybrid masculinity which was named soft selective masculinity. Based on the research findings, nail artists provide emotional work towards their woman clients but not towards their colleagues. As working with woman clients, men provide three types of emotional work: controlling emotions, communication and attention. They create interaction with woman clients which is based on accessory masculinity, whereby, directly and indirectly, men benefit from the privileges of supremacy. Men opt for soft selective masculinity, if it doesn’t come into collision with their role of providers or becomes a condition for reaching it.

Diabetes is an increasingly common condition observed in antenatal clinics. It describes not only those women with pre-existing diabetes, but also a significant number of women who develop diabetes during their pregnancy (gestational diabetes), which may resolves postnatally. These high-risk pregnancies are known to be associated with maternal, fetal and neonatal complications and require specialist care. This happy time in a woman's life can also be one of anxiety and concern over their baby's health. Having diabetes in pregnancy requires daily monitoring of blood glucose levels, adaptions to dietary intake, frequent hospital visits, additional ultrasound scans and the fear of the baby growing ‘too big’. This article describes the woman's journey from pre-conception to postnatal care and the management, guidance and support offered by the multidisciplinary team to keep her and her baby safe and achieve a successful pregnancy outcome.

This paper examines the condition of women in both Israel and Islamic countries, specifically their freedom to leave a marriage, and compares respective models. First, the study analyses the peculiar relationship between secular and religious law in Israel and Islamic countries. Second, it studies the nature of marriage as a contract in these legal systems, comparing a totally private approach and a mixed, public–private approach. Third, it analyses the possibilities of dissolution of marriage in such legal systems, indentifying some aspects of gender disparity. Finally it discusses some juridical tools offered in these legal contexts, which are intended to rebalance the exercise of a woman's freedom to leave a marital relationship and its conditions.

The liberty of the woman is at stake in a sense unique to the human condition and so unique to the law. The mother who carries a child to full term is subject to anxieties, to physical constraints, to pain that only she must bear. That these sacrifices have from the beginning of the human race been endured by woman with a pride that ennobles her in the eyes of others and gives to the infant a bond of love cannot alone be grounds for the State to insist that she make the sacrifice. Her suffering is too intimate and personal for the State to insist, without more, upon its own vision of the woman's role ….For years, Jehovah's Witnesses have posed a challenge to the medical profession. Bound by religious belief to refuse blood and blood products, they can frustrate physicians who, since World War II, have utilized transfusions when indicated in the course of treatment.

Abstract. Inflammatory periodontal tissue diseases during pregnancy occur in more than 90% of cases and often tend to progress. Inflammatory periodontal tissue diseases, especially in pregnant women, are not only a medical problem, but also a social one that requires an interdisciplinary approach. Pregnancy is a special condition of a woman's body, in which a new life is born in her. However, despite the miraculous transformation, the body of the expectant mother is experiencing significant changes that do not always improve her health. During pregnancy, occurred hormonal restructuring of the body worsens blood supply and weakens the immune system. In the saliva of expectant mothers, the concentration of calcium and phosphorus decreases, which makes the tooth enamel more vulnerable and accessible to the development of caries. During pregnancy in a woman's body, especially in the third trimester, there are changes in the vitamin mineral complex, and especially the calcium-phosphorus metabolism changes. This circumstance is because more than 90% of calcium in the last stages of pregnancy is directed to the mineralization of the bones of the skeleton of the unborn child.

Résumé :
Marriage and divorce of women who have become pregnant as a result of adultery are problems that are given attention in the discussion of Islamic jurisprudence. Marrying a pregnant woman due to adultery has been a polemic among Islamic scholars since long ago in various countries, including in Indonesia until it was finally stipulated in the Book of Compilation of Islamic Law which became an explanation of the Law on Marriage. Divorce after marriage, which is preceded by pregnancy due to adultery, is also an interesting discussion, especially regarding the issue of idah, or the waiting period for women who are pregnant and subject to divorce. Idah or waiting period has been prescribed by Islam for the noble purpose of maintaining the authenticity of one's lineage so as not to mix with others. This problem was studied from a socio-cultural normative perspective, which compares the arguments and factual conditions, thus giving different values. Law of idah can differ from one woman to another, based on the type of divorce or the process of breaking the marriage bond, as well as on the woman's condition. The law of divorce for women who are pregnant that is the birth of the child they are carrying can also apply to women who are divorced, while they are pregnant as a result of adultery.

Cardiovascular disease is often thought of as a condition that mainly affects men. Beverley Bostock analyses the role practice nurses can play in recognising and managing cardiovascular disease in women Although cardiovascular disease (CVD) is recognised to be a condition that affects men more than women overall, this risks underplaying the significant challenges relating to the diagnosis and management of CVD in women. Women are adversely affected compared to men in terms of diagnosis, acute management and implementation of secondary prevention, and the evidence base for treating women is lacking, due to the low numbers of women included in trials. Hormonal fluctuations throughout a woman's lifetime can also affect CVD risk. Résumé :
Introduction: The problem of remote monitoring of people's health has become especially urgent nowadays due to the rapid spread of dangerous infectious and viral diseases, such as COVID-19. This period was especially difficult for pregnant women. According to Rosstat statistics, in 2020, maternal mortality in Russia increased by 24.4% compared to 2019 and reached 11.2 per 100,000 newborns. This is the worst level since 2013. In the current conditions, there is a necessity for developing remote monitoring systems which allow you to check the health status of a pregnant woman remotely using tools outside a medical institution. Purpose: To develop the structure and validate the choice of elements for a hardware and software complex which would perform remote monitoring outside a medical institution and assess the condition of pregnant women during their active life. Results: An automated questionnaire for pregnant women has been developed in accordance with the methodological recommendations of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, providing a quantitative assessment of the current state of a pregnant woman in order to study the dynamics of her health. Based on the results of instrumental studies, according to 30 factors of patient's body functioning and the questionnaire data, a set of diagnostically significant indicators was developed. For each of them, a range of values was specified (norm, alarm, pathology). We have developed an experimental sample of the hardware and software complex and tested its functioning, particularly the modes of taking biomedical data by urine tests. The algorithms for processing and analysis of biomedical data have been experimentally studied in order to confirm the validity of the proposed solutions. Practical relevance: The results of the studies allow us to affirmatively answer the question about the possibility of remote monitoring outside a medical institution and assessing the health state of a pregnant woman in order to predict pregnancy complications, as well as to validate the choice of measuring channels for recording a complex of biomedical signals and data, and the choice of algorithms for information processing and analysis.

This article aims to find out the views of Islamic law on a woman's hymen surgery. The research methodology used is library research which relies on a critical and in-depth study of research materials and results related to the topic of the study problem, using a juridical and sociological approach. The results of the research obtained are that contemporary scholars give different opinions. Some absolutely forbid whatever the reason and some allow it under certain conditions. The differences of opinion of the scholars on the issue of hymen surgery can be concluded as follows: a) If the hymen is only ruptured due to sexual intercourse in marriage or adultery which is known to many people, the scholars agree to forbid it. b) If the rupture of the hymen is due to adultery which is unknown to others, rape or other than sexual intercourse, this is where the scholars differ, some allow it on condition that the operation must be performed by a female doctor.

The aim of the study: To present, based on the available literature, the principles of management of a pregnant woman infected with SARS-CoV-2 virus. State of knowledge: The evidence of infection is the detection of the virus in the clinical specimen confirmed by PCR. Chest computer tomography can be useful in diagnosis, especially when the PCR test result is negative. Particular attention should be paid to pharmacological treatment, which should be both effective and safe for the fetus. Certain antiviral and anti-inflammatory drugs as well as anticoagulants drugs are used in COVID-19 therapy. Oxygen and fluid therapy is also important. The condition of the fetus should be monitored regularly. It is recommended to measure the fetal heart rate, perform cardiotocography, pregnancy ultrasound and assess the volume of amniotic fluid. The decision about the time and method of delivery should be made individually on the basis of obstetric indications and the maternal-fetal condition. Summary: The therapy of a pregnant patient infected with SARS-CoV-2 should be adjusted individually depending on the woman's health condition. In therapeutic interventions, the welfare of both the mother and the fetus should be taken into account.

Résumé :
Any unjust situation where one group denies another group is considered as oppression. This condition is possibly initiated by groups that assume their internal attribute as superior to another group. Therefore, the groups assume they have the right to deny another group's rights. Women oppression is one of kinds of oppression. The differences in physical and biological features of a woman's body benefit men with more privilege and no responsibility to carry children. As a result, a woman is considered as not necessarily need education and career path. A movement has arisen to defense oppressed women, especially women of color, whose experiences are not represented through the mainstream feminist movement. Black feminism's distinctive perspective sees oppression as an intersection of factors. This article aims to elaborate Black feminist perspective toward women oppression in Maya Angelou’s memoir entitled A Letter To My Daughter. The oppression experienced by Black women is identified in the form of the control of Black women images and the regulation of Black women bodies. The narrator’s critical perspective toward the oppression is articulated through her action in promoting self-definition and self-valuation to Black women. Self-empowerment enables Black women to resist and oppose any forms of oppression.

This is a qualitative research that aimed to investigate Brazilian Landless Workers Movement women's access to pre-natal care and cervical cancer prevention. Interviews were done in 2005 with five women in the city of Cajamar, Brazil. The thematic analysis of content made it possible to evidence that access barriers such as territorial delimitation and geographical distance let women use false addresses as mechanisms to receive care. Pap smear tests were performed only during pregnancy. Health care provided for these women was fragmented and they received care solely because of their reproductive condition. Access to health services must be understood as continuous and complete assistance in all phases of a woman's life and they consist of a challenge to reach rural women. Improving access to information and education for these women corresponds to the possibility of exercising the universal right of access to health care based on the principle of equity.

Résumé :
The issue of menstruation has attracted a lot of attention from fiqh scholars to discuss it, because the scholars have tried to eradicate and abolish the myths surrounding menstruation that have existed for a long time. But if we want to take a closer look at the stipulations, more or less there are still stereotypes in treating menstruating women, although there are still debates in it. The explanation in fiqh still causes ambiguity in the argument why menstruating women are prohibited from fasting, is there still a misogynistic assumption about menstruation in fiqh, so that menstruating women are not allowed to fast? From this point of view, it is necessary to re-examine why menstruating women are prohibited from fasting, because the scholars of fiqh do not provide sufficient studies on various implications arising from the existence of the menstrual cycle, except for a global explanation of all the prohibitions that must be avoided for women menstruating. In the book of fiqh it is explained that fasting is forbidden for menstruating women because fasting is pure worship. This study concludes that by looking at the physical conditions experienced by menstruating women in general, the prohibition of menstruating women from fasting can be understood as people who are sick who get relief to break their fast for the benefit of and maintain their health. So the prohibition of a menstruating woman from fasting is a relief (rukhsah) from God to maintain the stability of her body, and it does not mean a prohibition, considering that the condition of a menstruating woman's body is not the same.

Abstract: In essence, a woman's fitrah is to have a meek nature. However, nowadays many women resemble men or are often also called tomboys. One of the causes of tomboyish behavior is like the poor education taught by his parents. A person's behavior will be influenced by the habits that exist in his environment. Unconsciously, the environment will help educate the child's good and bad qualities. Thus, the role of parents is very important so that the child does not fall into these damned traits. Narrated from Ibn Abbas radhiallahu'anhu, he said, "The Messenger of Allah shalallahu'alaihi wa salam circumcised the men who resembled the women and the women who resembled the men" (HR Bukhari). In the environment I saw, there was a woman whose style was worthy of a man.' Sometimes in the community environment, it is a little disturbed because of the presence of tomboyish women around their environment. Tomboy comes from English. Linguistically, it means the nature of women that is synonymous with activities that are usually associated with male roles. Feminine it is a trait within the self that accentuates the gentle side of womanhood. Why tomboyish women (have the nature of maleness) look cool, while feminine men (have female traits) are labeled negatively. This shows that after all gender construction in society not only harms women, but also harms men. This is because not all men can conform to the values of masculinity constructed by society. How the human condition is created is essentially the best form according to Allah Almighty. If the Creator says so, then we as beings are truly unsavory to label ourselves as rudimentary and worthy of being changed.

The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors associated with the incidence of hypertension in pregnant women at RSIA.St.Khadijah 1 Makassar. This type of research is observational analytic with a cross sectional design, which is a study to study the dynamics of the correlation between risk factors and effects by using an approach, observation or data collection all at once (Point Time Approach). This study was conducted to explain the factors associated with the incidence of hypertension in pregnant women at RSIA.St. Khadijah 1 Makassar. This research was conducted at RSIA. The results of this study indicate that there is a relationship between maternal age and the incidence of hypertension in pregnancy. Hypertension (preeclampsia-eclampsia) increases at a young age due to the imperfection of the organs in a woman's body to reproduce, in addition to psychological factors that tend to be less stable in adapting to pregnancy. Factors that influence hypertension in pregnancy are the condition of young primigravida and repeated deliveries.

For many, ethno-confessional identity has become defining. Women's organizations also emerged and co-opted more and more members every year. This social tendency eventually caused the need to study the phenomenon of "ethno-confessional communication" by the example of the culture of organization and the activities of women's public organizations. The issue requires a theoretical substantiation for the features of manifestation of ethno-confessional communication in the context of the socio-cultural phenomenon of women's public organizations in modern Russian society. The paper is intended for researchers of the problems concerning the culture of communications for researching ethno-confessional communications as a condition for the formation of a woman's social status by the example of modern public organizations of Muslim Tatar women in the Republic of Tatarstan.

Résumé :
The article reveals the organizational features of medical and psychological assistance in cases of perinatal losses in modern conditions. The paper presents the peculiarities of perinatal loss, psychological condition of women’s health during the onset of subsequent pregnancy as well as experiences of the women who have lost a child at different stages of pregnancy. The article notes that the majority of pregnant women with a history of perinatal loss are in a state of chronic stress, which can lead to the emergence and development of various medical and psychological complications. The peculiarities of the experience of grief in the situation of perinatal loss, as a serious mental trauma for the woman's psyche were analyzed. It has been substantiated that the experience of perinatal loss is a non-normative crisis in marital relations, and the process of providing psychological assistance should be directed not only to the woman, but also to the married couple as a whole, which will reduce the risk of rupture of relations, promote their harmonization, which can be considered as an effective resource for a constructive experience of the situation of loss. The main tasks of psychologists and medical staff during the organization of medical and psychological assistance for women and married couples experiencing perinatal loss are also revealed. It is crucial to comprehend the feelings women experience in such cases, which makes medical and psychological care more effective in the process of working with those who are through child loss or have had such an experience previously. The conclusion notes the priority of organizing and providing comprehensive medical and psychological assistance not only to women, but also to married couples in a situation of perinatal loss; the need for special training both for medical psychologists, obstetricians and gynecologists to provide complex assistance to women experiencing perinatal losses.

Preeclampsia is a clinical manifestation of the physiological and psychological maladaptation in the pregnant woman. The objective: to determine the characteristics of the psychoemotional status of pregnant women with pre-eclampsia based on the results of psychological testing using questionnaires using the Spielberger-Khanin technique and studying the psychological component of the gestational dominant (PCGD) Dobryakov [3]. Materials and methods. The subject of this study was the results of clinical-laboratory and psychological testing of 90 women in the III trimester of pregnancy. In 50 women, moderate and severe preeclampsia was diagnosed and they were included in the main group, and 40 women with a physiological pregnancy were included in the control group. Results. Pathological subtypes of the psychological component of the gestational dominant are revealed by the method of IV. Dobryakova and an increase in anxiety level by the Spielberger-Khanin technique. The high level of anxiety, the absence of a dominant pregnancy or the presence of its pathological subtypes in the case of gestosis is both a reflection of the maladaptation of the whole organism and the woman's unwillingness to transform her stereotypes of behavior in accordance with the needs of a new condition-pregnancy and forthcoming births, Have long-term consequences even from offspring [5]. The conclusion. The necessity of psychological counseling of pregnant women and correction of the revealed violations of the period of gestation is proved. Key words: pregnancy, delivery, preeclampsia, perinatal psychology, anxiety, gestational dominant.

Résumé :
Introduction. One of the most dramatic conditions in obstetrics is definitely bleeding from the uterus which fails to compress. This condition is known as postpartum atony. When such a condition is diagnosed, the obstetrician has a choice of several conservative methods to stimulate the uterus to contract and several surgical methods to stop the bleeding. The most extreme measure used to save the patient's life and stop the bleeding is hysterectomy. This surgery is characterized by high morbidity, primarily by the loss of woman's fertility. In order to avoid hysterectomy, several authors have introduced the compressive uterine suture technique into gynaecological practice. Objective. The aim of the paper is to demonstrate the technique of applying compressive uterine suture after delivery to stop excessive bleeding, and to present results obtained by this technique. Methods. The paper explains the technique of applying compressive suture to the atonic uterus in cases when all other procedures to stop excessive bleeding after delivery fail. Since uterine atony is the main reason for excessive and uncontrollable bleeding after childbirth, the need to perform such surgery is rather common. Authors demonstrate the technique of applying four compressive sutures which prevent uterus dilation and thus stop the bleeding. Results. Compressive suture technique was used by the authors eight times, seven of which during caesarean section and one after spontaneous delivery. All patients had normal postpartum period and normal involution of the uterus. Conclusion. Although this surgery requires a skilful and experienced obstetrician, the authors find it rather easy to perform and it is suggested to be applied in all cases of uterine atony when excessive bleeding cannot be stopped by other any other method except hysterectomy. This surgical procedure saves the uterus and facilitates quick and easy patient's recovery.

Résumé :
Introduction: Dysmenorrhea also known as painful menstruation is a public health problem with high prevalence among adolescents. It is defined as a severe, painful, cramping sensation within the lower abdomen occurring just before, during or few days after menstruation starts. Dysmenorrhea can negatively affect a woman's quality of life and interfere with daily activities. The two categories of dysmenorrhea are primary and secondary. Dysmenorrhea occurring in the absence of any pathological condition of the pelvis is known as primary dysmenorrhea while dysmenorrhea occurring in the presence of pathological condition of the pelvis is called secondary dysmenorrhea. Aim of review: The purpose of this review is to present a general overview of the types, epidemiology, diagnosis and available treatment options of both primary and secondary dysmenorrhea. Methods: PubMed, Google Scholar and Medline search engines (2000 to 2021) were used to conduct searches of relevant articles on dysmenorrhea. Citation lists of publications, including studies for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and review articles were searched. Conclusion: Although prevalence is difficult to determine, dysmenorrhea may affect as high as 90% of menstruating women. Risk factors for dysmenorrhea may include smoking, early menarche, nulliparity, and family history. Analgesics and oral contraceptives are the mainstay of treatment for primary dysmenorrhea. Complementary and alternative treatments options such as herbal medicines, exercise and diet are also available. Addressing the underlying pathology of secondary dysmenorrhea is the main stay for its management.

Résumé :
OBJECTIVE To report a case of carbamazepine-induced acute hyponatremia resulting in seizures. CASE SUMMARY A 44-year-old white woman developed acute hyponatremia and 2 subsequent tonic–clonic seizures after ingesting twice her evening dose of carbamazepine (usual evening dose 600 mg). On admission, her serum sodium level was 122 mEq/L. An infusion of NaCl 0.9% was begun and, within 24 hours, the serum sodium level had returned to her previous level of 136 mEq/L. The woman's preadmission carbamazepine concentration was 8.6 μg/mL, and it was 11.3 μg/mL on admission. Carbamazepine was withheld and, the following day, the concentration was 5.6 μg/mL. The woman had experienced a similar event 6 months earlier when she also took a large dose of carbamazepine. DISCUSSION We attributed the acute hyponatremia and seizures to the large increase in dose of carbamazepine in the presence of other risk factors for hyponatremia. Hyponatremia associated with carbamazepine has been well described. The incidence ranges from 1.8% to 40% depending on the patient population studied. Severe hyponatremia in patients treated with monotherapy is uncommon. Several risk factors have been reported to increase the risk of hyponatremia including age >40 years, concomitant use of medications associated with hyponatremia, menstruation, psychiatric condition, surgery, psychogenic polydipsia, and female gender. Treatment is focused on removal of the precipitating factors or discontinuation of carbamazepine therapy. Use of the Naranjo probability scale indicated a highly probable relationship between acute hyponatremia and carbamazepine in our patient. CONCLUSIONS Hyponatremia with carbamazepine is well known. The factors associated with increased risk are less understood. An increased awareness of these risks, careful monitoring, and patient education are important in the prevention of neurologic complications.

Just what is it about fame that so alienates women? or, why is it that famous women often speak of their experience of celebrity as something that is ultimately lonely and a shabby substitute for love? And why are these statements of loneliness in celebrity attenuated for mothers? Whether it is a famous American author of the nineteenth century and mother of seven, Harriet Beecher Stowe; an iconic and volatile star of the mid–twentieth century and mother of three, Judy Garland; or a twenty-first-century reality celebrity and mother of eight, Kate Gosselin, these women suggest that the experiences of fame are isolating and ultimately unsatisfying. To paraphrase Stowe, it is not fame and celebrity that satisfies the heart of the female star; it is the old-fashioned comforts of love. Their combined comments are thus a corrective to fans' implied perception of famous people as happy, when, indeed, their celebrity seems to have alienated them from love. Whether the female celebrity seeks romantic or familial love is not clear, and we would do well to realize that the abstract palliative is actually a culturally imagined comfort that probably has little to do with either these women in particular or stardom more broadly. But the consistent remarks about fame as a condition of loneliness establish a discursive imperative that the famous woman speak of longing for affective completion, in turn suggesting that public ardor cannot satisfy the woman's heart. In other words, fame cannot replace love.

Our heart is a vital organ that pumps blood and through the vessels of the circulatory system. In medical applications, we can observe the heart rate using Electrocardiograph (ECG). Currently, people tend to have high working activity without a proper exercise intensity. This study was conducted to observe the heart rate variability (HRV) on the healthy young woman who was not doing any exercise. We evaluated the HRV characteristics while exercising with a regular period and different intensity (light to hard) and how the difference before and after of evaluation period. Seven young-healthy women (19 - 21 years old) women were observed during three observation stages: pre-exercise, main exercise-period, and post-exercise for 2 months. We analyzed MeanRR, SDRR, CVRR, rMSSD, VLF, LF, HF, and the Poincaré plot parameters (SD1 and SD2) as the HRV properties. We found that SDRR was decreased from the first week (0.08 s) to the last week of the evaluation period (0.03 s) followed by the HF component (0.15 – 0.2 Hz). The Poincaré plot properties also reduced from the first week to the last week of the exercise period (0.07 s to 0.03 s). We indicated the characteristics of a woman's HRV during regular exercise periods with different intensity have made the heart more effective in pumping blood. We concluded that the heart condition would be improved during regular exercise with the increment of intensity even in a short of a period. Finally, the heart rate performance may be decreased during absent from regular exercise for a month.

The physician, after speaking with her, agrees that this is an acceptable option. The procedure in question is in fact one of the commonest surgeries performed on American women. The physician is also aware that although the procedure is deemed elective in this and in most cases, research has shown that the consequences of not providing the procedure when it is requested can be severe in terms of both physical and emotional sequelae—in fact, the woman's death can be a worst-case result when the procedure is denied. However, this senior physician is also aware that the procedure is controversial, and that ever fewer of his (now mostly younger) colleagues perform it, either because they are not appropriately trained, not so inclined, or fearful of becoming the target of vocal and even violent opponents of the procedure. In fact, he knew of seven American physician colleagues who had been slain in the past five years for providing this procedure, and of 16 more attempted slayings. Seeking an appropriate referral for this patient, the physician learns that she will have to travel hundreds of miles, involving considerable additional expense and delay—which itself can add to the complexity and risk of the procedure. Presented with this option, the patient expresses dismay but also her resigned commitment to follow through with this referral, and leaves the office in tears.

Résumé :
Background: SARS-CoV-2 can infect anyone, including pregnant women. Pregnant women with COVID-19 experienced fetal hypoxia and reduced amniotic fluid; therefore, a cesarean section was performed. This study aimed to report a case of fatality in pregnant women's G3P1A1 status with COVID-19 after a cesarean section. Case Report: The patient was a 33-year-old female 36-37 weeks pregnant with G3P1A1 status and infected with SARS-CoV-2. A cesarean section is performed to save the mother and fetus in cases of pregnancy complications. Due to fetal hypoxia and reduced amniotic fluid, a cesarean section was performed, thereby changing the patient status from G3P1A1 to P2A1. The baby survived, healthy and normal after the cesarean section, while the mother underwent COVID-19 treatment. However, the patient still experienced shortness of breath and acute respiratory distress syndrome. Unfortunately, she experienced more symptoms, including hematuria, respiratory failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and cardiac arrest on cardiopulmonary resuscitation, before her eventual death. Conclusion: The pregnant mother G3P1A1, successfully underwent a cesarean section, and the baby is healthy and normal. The pregnant woman's condition worsened during treatment for COVID-19, and she died.

Résumé :
War has been a part of the lives of the people of the Sangam age. They did not take war merely as a matter of speech, but they treated it in accordance with the rules. This article compares the war with the war traditions of the Sangam age, the war traditions mentioned by Tholkappiyar. And with the novel Velpari, written by S. Venkatesan. If a king wants to wage war against another country, he can wage war only according to the rules. First of all, through spies, they will know the condition of the enemy country and want to capture the wealth of the country, that is, cattle-lifting. Then they will wage war in order to rescue the cattle. The literature highlights the traditions of war, such as the king who won after the end of the war, wearing the flower (albizia lebbeck/woman's tongue). Therefore, although there are innumerable war traditions in the Sangam age, only espionage, cattle-lifting, declaration of war, and flowering have been examined in the article. They have also been examined in terms of comparative criticism and descriptive criticism.

Résumé :
AbstractOver the decades, there have been continuous efforts to enhance the quality of human life. Postmenopausal syndrome is a serious concern for the wellbeing of a woman's health. Hormonal therapy is currently the mainstay of treatment for this condition. However, this therapy could lead to estrogen abuse, leading to adverse reactions and side effects. As a result, hormonal therapy has been unsuccessful in ameliorating postmenopausal syndrome. Cistanche deserticola is a classical tonic herb in traditional Chinese medicine. It exhibits significant estrogenic activity. The main active compounds of this herb are glycosides. In a previous experiment, three important factors contributing to the total glycoside yield, acteoside yield, and estrogenic activity were identified, namely, eluent concentration, pH, and eluent volume. In this experiment, an optimal purification process was determined using a central composite design-response surface methodology to obtain glycosides from this herb. An eluent (ethanol) concentration of 85% and volume of 25 BV at a pH of 11 was found to be optimal. Twenty-one active compounds were identified by a high-performance liquid chromatography/ quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry assay. This study provides valuable insights for further in-depth research evaluating the estrogenic activities of total glycosides of Cistanche deserticola.

Résumé :
AbstractThis paper traces the history of the notion of female chastity (zhen) in China from pre-Qin to the mid-imperial era and argues that, prior to the arrival of Buddhism in China, the idea of female “chastity” was concerned not so much with physical virginity as the dutiful fulfillment of wifely obligations as stipulated by the Confucian marriage rites. A woman's chastity was determined by her moral rectitude rather than by her biological condition. The understanding of the physical body as a sacrosanct entity that must be defended against defilement and violation emerged under the influence of Buddhist notions of the uncontaminated body, the pious observance of the Buddhist monastic code, and the performance of religious charity that became popular in early imperial China. Based on a critical analysis of a wide array of Confucian canonical texts, dynastic histories, Indian Buddhist scriptures, biographies of Chinese monks and nuns, the monastic code, and Chinese Buddhist encyclopedias, this paper delineates the gradual process by which the Buddhist concept of the “pure body” became fully assimilated into the indigenous Chinese notion of female “rectitude” and the notion of female chastity finally acquired an ontological identity around the end of the sixth century.

Résumé :
Several conclusions can be drawn from a review of the formation, function and regression of the corpus luteum. Ovulation and luteinization encompass degenerative and growth changes. Inflammatory conditions associated with ovulation lead to the breakdown of the follicle wall and the membrana granulosa, along with initial damage to theca and granulosa cells. The early corpus luteum is, therefore, a tissue in stress. Thus, one view of the corpus luteum is that it, like the phoenix, rises from the inflammatory ashes of the postovulatory follicle to exist briefly and to be consumed by a similar process at regression. The luteinization process is associated with parenchymal cell hypertrophy and matrix remodelling, which appear to be regulated by IGFs and androgens, and with angiogenesis, which is induced mostly by bFGF. High levels of functional activity of the corpus luteum are regulated by control at the level of the LH receptor, whose activation leads to the translocation of cholesterol into the cell and mitochondria for conversion to steroids. Functional luteal regression can be considered as another inflammatory-like condition with apparent activation of the immune system, along with cytokine, reactive oxygen, and eicosanoid production. Structural luteolysis is subsequently invoked that leads to matrix dissolution and cellular degeneration. It is perhaps not surprising that the invocation of immune activation, which causes the production of DNA-damaging reactive oxygen species and cytotoxic cytokines each cycle, may increase the risk of pathologies. One example may be ovarian cancer which appears to be associated with the use of fertility-enhancing drugs and associated with the number of ovulations in a woman's lifetime.

Résumé :
Choosing a spouse is a very important process in the life of the individual. This choice influences marital harmony or disharmony and for this reason, the decision should be made after a sufficient period of knowing the partner. Moreover, the decision to marry should be the synthesis of concrete experiences that show how the partner reacts in the concrete situations of life, how the partner reacts to the needs of the other, what is the level of participation in the joint actions of the couple and, of course, how they react in situations of stress. But, beyond the "theories", the elections are often the effect of the emotion of the moment, an effect of the immediate need for fusion or an effect of the culture of the reference community. Thus, although the choices seem to be free, they receive influences from the families of origin, from the reference group or from the culture of the community of which an individual is a part. The study aims to investigate the situation of culturally imposed marriages due to the woman's condition of being pregnant before marriage. With cultural imperatives like "get married because you're embarrassing us!" or "get married because there is a risk that the man will leave you!", some of the pregnant women accept the haste of marriage. The study is based on the analysis of official documents, which are divorce files from the period when the Family Code was into force.

Résumé :
The simultaneous development of autoimmune hemolytic anemia and immune thrombocytopenia is known as Evans syndrome. This pathology is extremely rare during pregnancy, requires careful differential diagnosis and is associated with a high risk of hemorrhagic and thromboembolic complications. Treatment approaches for autoimmune hemolytic anemia and immune thrombocytopenia are similar, but in the case of autoimmune hemolytic anemia, thromboprophylaxis is mandatory. Heparin-induced thrombocytopenia is a serious adverse event of anticoagulation. One presents with a decrease in platelets but a paradoxical increase in thrombotic risk and mandates switching of the anticoagulant agent to a non-heparin one. Clinical case. We describe the case of pregnancy complicated with Evans syndrome and development of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia at 28 weeks. Treatment of the underlying disease was effective on the use of first-line therapy. Fondaparinux and vitamin K antagonist (warfarin) have been used to treat heparin-induced thrombocytopenia. Monitoring of the fetal condition is carried out with careful control of Doppler ultrasound of the middle cerebral artery. Successful change of anticoagulant, close surveillance and carefully selected therapy allowed to achieve a successful termination of pregnancy. A healthy female newborn with body weight 2450 g, 8–8 Apgar scores was vaginally delivered uneventful at the 38th week. There were neither neonatal thrombocytopenia nor anemia. During the year after birth, the woman's condition is not worse, the child develops according to age. An analysis of similar cases of pregnancy from the literature is described. The research was carried out in accordance with the principles of the Helsinki Declaration. The informed consent of the patient was obtained for conducting the studies. No conflict of interest was declared by the author. Key words: thrombocytopenia, hemolytic anemia, pregnancy, Evans syndrome, heparin-induced thrombocytopenia.

Résumé :
Objective: Comprehensive analysis of causes, clinical signs, diagnostic process, differential diagnosis and therapy of hymenal atresia. Methods: Literature search using the Web of Science, Google Scholar and PubMed databases with keywords and analysis of articles published in high impact and reviewed journals. Results: Hymenal atresia is a congenital malformation of a woman's genitals, which is manifested by complete obstruction of the vaginal introitus by a closed hymen. It should be diagnosed in the neonatal period, but clinically it usually manifests itself only during puberty as a result of menstrual blood retention (cryptomenorrhea) with the cyclic abdominal pain at monthly intervals. The therapy is based on optimally timed surgical creation of communication in the hymen (hymenotomy, hymenectomy) enabling free evacuation of menstrual contents. The aim of this simple treatment method is immediate subjective relief from pain and a permanent solution to this congenital anomaly. Conclusion: Knowledge of all types of congenital malformations of the female genitalia is a basic condition for an early and effective diagnostic process in adolescent girls with abdominal pain. The girl who has not yet menstruated and has cyclic lower abdominal pain and a tumor behind the pubic symphysis should be examined by a specialist in pediatric and adolescent gynecology who will confirm hymenal atresia according to a bluish and closed hymen, and suggest prompt and effective therapy. Key words: hymenal atresia – hematocolpos – hymen – hymenectomy – hymenotomy
