Résumé :
All the cloud based applications work on serviceoriented architectures and collaborate with multiple components from other services to execute discreet application logic. In this environment there are a lot of Web services facilitated to the customer to make the systems. As the potential of the same Web service will change with respect to users' needs. On an average a user will be heavily relied on tools to aid their activities on the internet vice versa the Service provider are also dependent on the users profile and what services are being used in the system. A User Reputation model offers a solution to the Service providers in supporting their service decision based on the User Profile. This model takes usage ratings as data and produces a personalised score. We suggest a new Cumulative separation on the basis of Tags and popularity estimation method and showcase its enhanced filtration ability.

Résumé :
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the gap between recovery-oriented processes and clinical outcomes in peer support, an exemplar of recovery-oriented services, and offer suggestions for bridging this gap. Design/methodology/approach This viewpoint is a brief review of literature on peer support services and gaps in outcome measurement towards building an evidence base for recovery-oriented services. Findings Clinical outcomes like hospitalizations or symptoms remain a focus of research, practice and policy in recovery-oriented services and contribute to a mixed evidence base for peer support services, in which recovery-oriented outcomes like empowerment, self-efficacy and hopefulness have more evidentiary support. One approach is to identify the theoretical underpinnings of peer support services and the corresponding change mechanisms in models that would make these recovery-oriented outcomes mediators or process outcomes. A better starting point is to consider which outcomes are valued by the people who use services and develop an evaluation approach according to those stated goals. User driven measurement approaches and more participatory types of research can improve both the quality and impact of health and mental health services. Originality/value This viewpoint provides a brief review of peer support services and the challenges of outcome measurement in establishing an evidence base and recommends user driven measurement as a starting point in evaluation of recovery-oriented services.

Résumé :
Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) enable dynamic integration of Web Services (WS) to accomplish a user's need. As such, they are sensitive to user errors. This article presents a framework for mitigating the risks of user errors due to changes in the service delivery context. The underlying methodology incorporates usability in the design, testing, deployment and operation of dynamic collaborative WS, so that the error-prone elements of the User Interface (UI) are identified and eliminated. The methodology incorporates Statistical Process Control (SPC) of Web Service Indices (WSI), obtained by a Decision Support system for User Interface Design (DSUID), in which the users are elements of the control loop.

Résumé :
The Web enters a new era where contents are to take the back seat and services will take the driver seat to form a service-oriented Web. This paper presents a service-oriented user interface design for the next generation Web. The design leverages the advances of semantic Web and service composition technologies to provide an intelligent and generic user interface to query, compose and execute Web services for a variety of user tasks. First, a simple cost model is developed for estimating the development and learning overheads of Web service interfaces for service-oriented applications as the motivation of this work. Then, the authors present the design of the service-oriented browser and discuss the enabling technologies. A prototype system is developed using existing technologies and standards as a proof of concept.

Résumé :
This paper presents the basic design of a new web service search technique for mobile mashup. Web service search means searching web APIs to build a new mobile mashup service. The technique is based on user-oriented profiling and can be easily used on mobile devices. For web service search, a user must know the details of a web service in advance. However, conventional service search cannot provide such information on whether the web service can be used for the mashup. This study discusses a user-oriented web service search technique for mobile mashup. Its key feature is that users can easily search for web services that use mashup on mobile phones without knowing the details.

Résumé :
Advances in sequencing technologies have made it possible to analyse large amounts of germplasm against low production costs, which has opened the door to screen genebank collections more efficiently for DNA sequence variation. The present study explores how these developments may affect the operations of genebanks and, consequently, how genebank agendas may change. It is argued that the new developments are more likely to have an impact on the user-oriented activities than the housekeeping operations of genebanks. To better facilitate the user community, genebanks may have to strengthen their core business, in particular, by improving quality management procedures and by providing access to a wider diversity of a crop's gene pool. In addition, genebanks may have to provide novel services, such as the introduction of specific user-oriented collection types, including research populations and genetically purified lines, and the development of novel information services, including plant genetic resources portals that should guide users to the information and materials of specific interest. To improve their user-oriented services, genebanks need to increase their communication and collaboration with the user community and to develop strategic alliances with this sector.

Résumé :
Purpose National Board of Health and Welfare claims that the quality of elderly care services differ considerably between municipalities in Sweden. This study aims to analyze to what extent these variations can be accounted for by the older person’s municipality affiliation (i.e. receiving elderly care in a certain municipality). Design/methodology/approach Addressing this issue, national survey data from 78,538 older respondents receiving elderly care services in Sweden were analyzed using multilevel modeling (MLM). Findings The results showed that municipality affiliation only marginally explained the variance in satisfaction with care, i.e. its variations were larger within than between municipalities. Instead, user-oriented care accounted for the variation in satisfaction with care. Specifically, the way the care workers behave toward the older person proved to be much more crucial for satisfaction with care than municipality affiliation. Moreover, random effects analyses revealed that the effects of user-oriented care on satisfaction with care varied across municipalities. Care setting (i.e. home care or nursing home) only marginally accounted for its variance. Practical implications Developing care quality should start and primarily be discussed at the interpersonal care level, and not, as is customary, at the municipality level. Originality/value The present research is the first in its kind to quantitatively investigate the sources of variation in perceived quality of Swedish elderly care using MLM.

Résumé :
This paper proposes a search-based method to partly automate the workflow composition, including the planning and execution stages, with web services in a service-oriented architecture. The proposed methodology models the workflow composition problem as a directed and weighted graph, henceforth called the service-oriented architecture graph, where vertices are associated with the degree of completion of the overall task at hand and edges represent service executions. Edge weights are formulated based on the quality of services as defined by the user. A uniform cost search algorithm is adapted and applied to identify the optimal path based on user input, which constitutes an ordered sequence of service executions, from a given initial state to a user-defined goal state. The proposed approach for service oriented workflow composition was applied to an information-technology domain problem to demonstrate its utility through a simulation study. Simulation results indicated that the proposed methodology is feasible and optimal solutions can be computed within reasonable computational cost bounds.

Résumé :
Abstract We compare single-valued forecasts from a consensus of numerical weather prediction models to forecasts from a single model across a range of user decision thresholds and sensitivities, using the relative economic value framework, and present this comparison in a new graphical format. With the help of a simple linear error model, we obtain theoretical results and perform synthetic calculations to gain insights into how the results relate to the characteristics of the different forecast systems. We find that multimodel consensus forecasts are more beneficial for users interested in decisions near the climatological mean, due to their reduced spread of errors compared to the constituent models. Single model forecasts may present greater benefit for users sensitive to extreme events if the forecasts have smaller conditional biases than the consensus forecasts and hence better resolution of such events. The results support use of consensus averaging approaches for single-valued forecast services in typical conditions. However, it is hard to cater for all user sensitivities in more extreme conditions. This underscores the importance of providing probability-based services for unusual conditions.

The authors propose a method to dynamically determine appropriate quality of service (QoS) required by users for video streaming services. In the proposed method, the video bit rate as the QoS parameter is determined based on the passive aggressive learning, which is an online learning algorithm for a regression problem, according to the user requirements, computational/network resources and service provisioning environments. Moreover, the method makes it possible to provide appropriate QoS by using optimization solution. In this paper, the authors describe the design and implementation of the method, then confirm the feasibility of the proposed method through the experiments.

Résumé :
Purpose – Care process quality (i.e. how care is enacted by a care worker toward a client at the interpersonal level) is a strong predictor of satisfaction in a wide range of health care services. The purpose of this paper is to describe the basic elements of care process quality as user-oriented care. Specifically, the questions of how and why quality in user-oriented care varies were investigated in the context of elderly care. Design/methodology/approach – Two municipalities were selected for in-depth field studies. First, in each municipality, the authors interviewed and observed care workers’ interactions with the older persons in both home care and nursing homes during two weeks (Study 1). Second, in an attempt to gain a deeper understanding of why process quality in terms of user-oriented care varies, the authors conducted interviews with care workers and care unit managers (Study 2). Findings – A new taxonomy for categorizing process quality variation, the Big Five of user-oriented care (task-focus, person-focus, affect, cooperation, and time-use), is proposed. In addition, the perceived reasons for process quality variation are reported in our own developed Quality Agents Model, suggesting that variations in care process evaluations may be explained from different perspectives at multiple levels (i.e., older person, care worker-, unit-, department-, and municipality level). Originality/value – The proposed taxonomy and model are useful for describing user-oriented care quality and the reasons for its variations. These findings are of relevance for future quality developments of elderly care services, but also may be adapted to applications in any other enterprise employing a user-oriented approach.

Résumé :
Purpose – This paper aims to present a detailed description of Agents for Enriching Services (AES), an agent-oriented framework that allows adapting a service in an information system. AES provides an adaptation logic that can be instantiated and extended to be useful in different domains. In previous works, we presented the adaptation mechanism of AES, which considers context aspects such as location, infrastructure; user aspects such as preferences and interests; and device aspects such as hardware and software features. Design/methodology/approach – The first step was the definition of different profiles, mainly user and context profiles. Then the adaptation mechanism was defined, which considers these profiles. With this mechanism, the adaptation filters to apply them to the initial queries was specified. Finally, feedback was provided, which included implicit and explicit information from the user and the system. AES is an agent-based framework implemented in Java, using the multi-agent platform BESA and a rule-based engine Drools. Findings – AES can be used as the starting point to adapt services by enriching them considering different stimulus whether they come from the environment, devices or user preferences. Research limitations/implications – This work was tested in an academic environment and was only applied to enhance queries by using keywords. AES uses the query mechanism implemented in the system that invokes it. Originality/value – This paper focuses on: an integrated view of AES including its formal description and details about its implementation. Particularly, it includes an exhaustive and formal definition of the filters used to create the adaptation rules and three different scenarios of the application of AES to adapt content according to user and context features. Finally, a comparison analysis is presented to highlight the strengths of our framework, specially its capacity of integration with systems that require providing user- and context-oriented services.

Résumé :
The widespread of Web services in the ubiquitous computing era and the impossibility to predict a priori all possible user needs generates the necessity for on-demand service composition. Natural language is one of the the easiest ways for a user to express what he expects regarding a service. Two main problems need to be solved in order to create a composite service to satisfy the user: a)retrieval of relevant services and b) orchestration/composition of the selected services in order to fulfill the user request. We solve the first problem by using semantic concepts associated with the services and we define a conceptual distance to measure the similarity between the user request and a service configuration. Retrieved services are composed, based on aspect oriented templates called Aspects of Assembly. We have tested our application in an environment for pervasive computing called Ubiquarium, where our system composes a service according to the user request described by a sentence. The implementation is based on the WComp middleware that enables us to use regular Web services but also Web services for devices.

Résumé :
Web service has become the technology of choice for service oriented computing to meet the interoperability demands in web applications. In the Internet era, the exponential addition of web services nominates the “quality of service” as essential parameter in discriminating the web services. In this paper, a user preference based web service ranking (UPWSR) algorithm is proposed to rank web services based on user preferences and QoS aspect of the web service. When the user’s request cannot be fulfilled by a single atomic service, several existing services should be composed and delivered as a composition. The proposed framework allows the user to specify the local and global constraints for composite web services which improves flexibility. UPWSR algorithm identifies best fit services for each task in the user request and, by choosing the number of candidate services for each task, reduces the time to generate the composition plans. To tackle the problem of web service composition, QoS aware automatic web service composition (QAWSC) algorithm proposed in this paper is based on the QoS aspects of the web services and user preferences. The proposed framework allows user to provide feedback about the composite service which improves the reputation of the services.

Résumé :
CPS (Cyber Physical Systems) is an approach often adopted for improving real-world activities by utilizing data. It also can be used to improve customer experiences in service applications by analyzing customer behavior, captured by sensing devices and by supporting utilization of that data by the service providers, to improve the system. In developing such systems, no method has been established to systematically evaluate the impact of individual component design on the user experience. Knowledge Experience Design is a method for distilling and validating information that affects the quality of the user experience by focusing on user activities and underlying knowledge. This methodology has been applied to a system for a museum, in which visitor activities are observed by sensing devices, to aid the Curator’s awareness for improving museum services. As a result, a cooperative process for designing devices and user experience as a service was derived, in which competing interests of lower power consumption and user experience improvement have been attained. The proposed design method can be used for the co-design of systems that are built on the close coordination of hardware devices and software applications, for providing value-oriented services to users, which aids realization of CPS oriented to evaluating and improving such environments.

Résumé :
Service-oriented software utilizes services as fundamental elements for developing applications that have the capability to autonomously modify their behavior at run-time in response to changes in their environment. While a few techniques have been developed to support the modeling and analysis of requirements for self-adaptive systems, limited attention has been paid to the description of service requirements and uncertainty in requirements of service-oriented software. In this paper, we propose a task solving strategy for requirement analysis and modeling framework as a fundamental of self-adaptation evolution. We introduce task solving strategy method for requirement analysis process; a context snapshot model to represent uncertainty in requirement with domain knowledge; goal-oriented context requirement to model user requirements and process-oriented context requirement to model service requirements; and finally, propose means-c-end analysis to relate user and service requirement with context condition.

Résumé :
Recommender system is used to suggest product or topic based on user’s interest. Existing recommender system have focused on books, product, music etc. The problem in existing recommender system is that wedding/event based suggestions are not available. In the modern information era; storage, communication has been a challenge due to information veracity, volume, and velocity. Due to the constant and exponential growth of information, the utilization of information for context-oriented services is not productive. In this paper, a wedding planner recommender system framework has been proposed based on hybrid approach i.e., content based, collaborative filtering technique. The motive of proposed framework is to generate user-specific recommendations for different tasks related to the event specially wedding event, analyzed from the user comments on his social networking portal. Its main objective is to assist the user for organizing the events by suggesting specific vendors needed to arrange the event activities. Also, it would enhance the sales of location sensitive products in social commerce. The trial study conducted using a set of Facebook users is carried out to validate the proposed recommendation system framework. The success of the proposed framework is reported in terms of the level of user satisfaction achieved.

Résumé :
The goal of distributed heterogeneous information integration is seamless interactions among different business tasks. To achieve the goal, the paper presents a novel middleware framework in service oriented computing (SOC) environment. We analyze the framework in detail and propose three steps for integrating the heterogeneous information resource, including heterogeneous databases. The unified user interface is provided which invoking and binding Web services more dynamically and flexibly in the framework. Especially, we put forward the specific realization process of the core modules of the framework. As an example, we propose the realization of wrapping heterogeneous database as Web services. Finally, we propose the services oriented business integration process and provide the remedial measures for the model of the business process integration. The approach can achieve low cost, flexibility to change and full of system extensibility for distributed heterogeneous information integration.

Résumé :
The European Union (EU) is reforming its public services and suggesting Public‐Private Partnerships (PPPs) as a solution for producing high quality and cost effective real estate service delivery. However, the use of PPP approach in real estate industries has been found to have significant constraints related to the end‐users’ (general public's) perspective. The purpose of the paper is to show how PPP projects have failed to produce desirable characteristics expressed in purchasing processes and fulfilment of the end‐user expectations. While the customer‐oriented development of public services and the needs of the end‐users were noted to be crucial points in all five major Finnish PPP projects studied, the case studies pointed out a fundamental lack of understanding and maintaining the end‐user perspective through the tendering and evaluation processes. Especially, in the final stage of evaluation, and evaluation criteria used to decision making, the disappearance of the end‐users’ perspective was evident. The findings are further used to develop a new suggested Public‐Private‐People Partnership (4P) model. The results can be useful to the public sector's purchasers and to the private sector's providers to understand the limitations of current PPP practices and to further develop their practices towards more customer‐oriented service production.

This paper presents dissertation work on semantic-oriented architectures and models for personalized and adaptive access to the knowledge in a multimedia digital library. The work was presented on October 27, 2008 before the Specialized Academic Council in Informatics and Mathematical Modelling at the Higher Attestation Commission. As a result of the work there appeared a functional module providing customized user access to the library content flow. The module used an IEEE PAPI and IMS LIP-oriented ontological user model. The main services provide customized user access, browsing, searching, and grouping of digitised objects and collections, user profile management, tracking the user’s behaviour, etc. The services require and trace out data about the preliminary level of the users’ knowledge in the domain covered by the digital library, their object observation style, cognitive goals and interests, preferences about the objects/collections presentation and grouping, physical limitations, used knowledge delivery channels (Web, mobile phone), etc. Then they transform the available digitised objects into a new personalized form, and finally deliver them to the user. The module uses special usage scenarios/instructions defining a wide range of service actions dependent on the user’s background, events, informal learning situations, knowledge delivery channels, etc.

Résumé :
Under the background of information technology and the Internet era, the matching problem in different application scenarios is becoming increasingly prominent. With respect to the matching problem in knowledge services, enabling users to choose suitable knowledge out of massive information has become an urgent demand to be satisfied. Initiating from interdisciplinary perspective, this paper proposes a matching method for online learning services according to user characteristics, which focuses on the matching of decision making for knowledge service with user relevance and characteristic under social network environment. Firstly, the complex network among users is constructed, and the user group is subcategorized into subgroups, thereby aggregating the subgroup information effectively. Secondly, the weight of the indices that evaluate the matching subject is determined by conducting the best-worst method. Thirdly, considering the difference between the expectation and actual levels of the matching subject, the cumulative prospect theory is adopted to calculate the satisfaction degree of both sides. Aiming at maximizing the satisfaction degree of the subjects, a multi-objective optimization model is established to obtain the optimal matching pairs. Finally, the validity and rationality of the proposed method are verified, offering interdisciplinary perspective and theoretical foundation for knowledge service matching and the education reform of humanities.

Résumé :
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to identify service design strategies to improve outcome-oriented services by enhancing consumers’ emotional experience, while overcoming customer variability. Design/methodology/approach An abductive, multiple-case study involves 12 service firms from diverse online and offline service sectors. Findings Overall, six service design strategies represent two overarching themes: customer empowerment can involve design for typical customers, visibility, and community building, while customer accommodation can involve design for personas, invisibility, and relationship building. Using these strategies helps set the stage for a service to offer an emotional experience. Research limitations/implications The study offers a first step toward combining investigations of service experience and user experience. Further research can strengthen these links. Practical implications The six design strategies described using examples from case research offer managerial recommendations. In particular, these strategies can help service managers address the customer-induced variability inherent in services. Originality/value Extant studies of experience staging have focused on particular sectors such as hospitality and leisure; this study contributes by investigating outcome-focused services and identifying strategies to create unique experiences that offset variability. It also represents a rare effort to combine research from service management and interaction design, shedding light on the link between service experience and user experience.

Résumé :
Purpose Many features constitute an adaptive system such as user model, interface specification, business functionalities and service implementation. Context awareness is an important facet of service oriented application creation dealing with the gathering, use and representation of context information. Generally, user interfaces and services communities work separately on the adaptation process and do not converge. The aim of this work is to manage the system’s functionalities and the user interface that delivers data to the relevant consumer early since the design phase until the code generation. Design/methodology/approach The authors discuss how a unified method based on a model-driven architecture for adaptive user interface and pervasive service creation eases the work of designers and developers, limits incompatibility issues and supports dynamic generation of systems adapted to different contexts of use. Findings The proposed approach is able to support a semi-automatic ubiquitous application generation with service, behavior, presentation and content adaptation. Originality/value In this paper, the authors tackle context-awareness at two levels: system functionalities and user interface generation. The authors also tackle adaptation at the specification and implementation levels.

Résumé :
Resource allocation is one of the most important research topics in servers. In the cloud environment, there are massive hardware resources of different kinds, and many kinds of services are usually run on virtual machines of the cloud server. In addition, cloud environment is commercialized, and economical factor should also be considered. In order to deal with commercialization and virtualization of cloud environment, we proposed a user utility oriented queuing model for task scheduling. Firstly, we modeled task scheduling in cloud environment as anM/M/1 queuing system. Secondly, we classified the utility into time utility and cost utility and built a linear programming model to maximize total utility for both of them. Finally, we proposed a utility oriented algorithm to maximize the total utility. Massive experiments validate the effectiveness of our proposed model.

Résumé :
The vision of pervasive computing is to create and manage computational spaces where large numbers of heterogeneous devices collaborate transparently to serve the user tasks all the time, anywhere. The original utility of a computer is now changing from a stand-alone tool that runs software applications to an environmentaware, context-aware tool that can enhance the user experience by executing services and carrying out his/ her tasks in an efficient manner. However, the heterogeneity of devices and the user’s mobility are among the many issues that make developing pervasive computing applications a very challenging task. A solution to the programmability of pervasive spaces is adopting the service-oriented architecture (SOA) paradigm. In the SOA model, device capabilities are exposed as software services thus providing the programmer with a convenient abstraction level that can help to deal with the dynamicity of pervasive spaces. In this chapter the authors review the state of the art in SOA-based pervasive computing, identify existing open problems, and contribute ideas for future research.

Résumé :
Service Oriented Architecture is a software design paradigm of choice for building and integrating distributed Information Systems. The greatest challenge of SOA is to make the system more flexible and adaptable to the enterprise and user environment changes. However, services can change constantly. These changes are produced due to adjustment in structure, e.g., changing service signature, integrating new services into existing business services; in behavior e.g., adding new business rules in simple or composite services; and in interaction schema between the services and the clients. This paper presents a solution based on service component concepts for dealing with changes confined to services and clients in SOA-based applications. It uses service components concepts to define adaptable services that facilitate the extension and the customization of existing services in harmony with service users. In addition, it presents an adaptation service-oriented lifecycle scenario to control service changes in the entire service lifecycle ranging from the announcement to the execution phase

Cloud manufacturing is emerging as a new intelligent and collaborative manufacturing model. With the development of virtualization technology, the manufacturing resources can be encapsulated as manufacturing cloud services (MCSs). The accuracy of service quality evaluation is the key to selecting a MCS from many available ones with similar functions but different QoS, but existing QoS evaluation models only focuses on common service attributes, which cannot meet user needs. Hence, this paper presents an execution framework for domain-oriented QoS evaluation for MCSs. Four function modules for domain-oriented QoS evaluation of MCSs were analyzed, and the involving key technologies were discussed as well.

Résumé :
Service Reliability is an important consideration for new service deployment. Traditional system-oriented measures are no longer adequate to describe the reliability perceived by the user. In this paper we propose a general service reliability analysis approach based on user behavior, and derive formulas to compute service reliability from the user model and service models. The derived user-perceived service reliability incorporates the user task reliabilities, the dependencies of different user tasks, and various types of user behavior besides failure and recovery of system hardware and software components. This approach is applied to the service reliability computation for an example fault tolerant cluster hosing two services. Factors from both the system side and the user side are analyzed for the user-perceived service reliability of the cluster, and the results are compared with the system availability and service reliability lower bound.

Résumé :
The emergence of e-services benefited the stakeholders due to ease of access to data, information and knowledge sources. Service-based applications have evolved into flexible and adaptable systems capable of coping with changes in user requirements and business processes. The shift from monolithic application silos towards service-oriented approaches is evident in the literature today. The benefits of service-oriented approaches include cost effectiveness, improved inter-operability, reusability, and flexibility. The benefits are not enjoyed without the threat of cognitively overloading managers in their decision making activities. Tools for effective management of information are necessary. Effective and efficient service-oriented applications need to operate within their situational boundaries. As such, decision support type tools require tight integration with the service-based approach. This study proposes an integrated Situated Service-Oriented Model and demonstrates its value via a case study of an e-learning service-based application used over a period of 15 months. Two designs were used; component-based and service-oriented. The significance of this study is in the tangible value of the model proposed and demonstrated by the e-learning case study.

Résumé :
Many new network-oriented services have been developed in recent years, and Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) has been standardized to improve the responsiveness of services. When deploying services in a MEC environment, it is necessary to consider a service structure that can flexibly switch service behaviors to meet various user requests and that can change service behaviors according to the real-world environment at a low implementation cost. In this paper, we introduce a core/periphery structure for service components, which is known as a model for flexible behavior in biological systems, and design and implement a network-oriented mixed reality service based on this structure. We investigate what kinds of functions should be developed to accommodate user requests in conjunction with various types of devices and real-world environments in which users and devices are located. To utilize the flexibility of a core/periphery structure, we regard core functions as those whose behaviors remain unchanged even when there are changes in user requests or the environment. In contrast, peripheral functions are those whose behaviors can change under such circumstances. Experiments reveal that implementation costs are reduced while retaining increases in service response time to less than 31 ms. These results show that taking advantage of a core/periphery structure allows appropriate division of service functions and placement of functions in a MEC environment, with only small penalties on latency and at a low implementation cost.

Résumé :
The creation of official websites of modern libraries has opened up for them fundamentally new opportunities to present a wide range of information resources and services for remote users. The purpose of the article is to reveal the problem of determining the rational composition and placement of headings and subheadings in the content structure of library sites and to present a typical content model as one of the possible means to ensure the orientation of users on the sites of the same type of libraries from the standpoint of a user-oriented approach. A typical model of the content of the official website of the central libraries of the subjects of the Russian Federation is proposed. It can be used in any of the libraries of the types under consideration (republican, regional, autonomous districts and regions, as well as central libraries of cities of federal subordination). The proposed typical model is aimed at overcoming the unreasonable diversity of structural elements by reducing the existing list of headings and subheadings and bringing them to uniformity and to provide mutual understanding between library site developers and remote users. The unification of the content structure of official library websites can become a condition not only for improving the quality of the content of individual sites, but also for ensuring their compatibility to form uniform digital library and information space in Russia.
