Pazienza, Annamaria.

Texte intégralSiAD in the post-1980 period. As this perspective has been hegemonic in discourse in examining state-society relations in Turkey in recent decades, thereby dominating the political, academic, and business circles, it becomes very important for Turkish politics students to understand what is implied by this phrase in order to conceive the political developments in Turkey. This thesis aims to explore the adequacy of this perspective in accounting for the state-society relations. The focus on TÜ
SiAD is derived from the fact that its organizational evolution allows us to evaluate the adequacy of theoretical premises and main arguments of the state tradition perspective. In this study, it is concluded that the state tradition perspective offers a reductionist framework in favor of the state
neglects the impact of the social dynamics and international institutions and actors
and reproduces the strong state at any historical moment. Depending on these findings, it is claimed that the state tradition perspective does not provide an appropriate methodological and conceptual framework especially in examining the state-big business relations within the context of the changing domestic and international contexts.

Texte intégralThe numus' traditional education (in the tusian region) is linked with the values underlying their whole mentality. The transmission of knowledge is based on immersion, imitation and repetition. The numu child grows up in a complex univ erse composed of technical equipment, invisible spirits and parental figures where both father and mother can be replace d by their peers. The child's personality is subject to the group strong influence during the process of its structuring. The group prevails over the individual and the youngest has a duty to the eldest. With the advent of modern phenomena like money, the media, modern communications, the numu group is subject to a social and mental disintegration. Besides, the "western" educational system which was supposed to allow a revitalization of the traditional numu structures was itself fossilized by a traditional pedagogy both repetitive and directive. Thus, the conciliation of the two systems was impossible. Yet, in our opinion, the so-called active and cooperative pedagogy, base d on the child's own intelligence and creative faculties should allow the essential readjustment between tradition and modernity

Texte intégralThis thesis proposes a synthesis of the archaeological data in Tusian space (Western Burkina Faso). Its purpose is to study material linked to the human presence in this area. Based on an approach that combines archeology, ethnography and anthropology this study is organized around the analysis and interpretation of archaeological remains. The sources used are: written documents, oral and archaeological sources. The issue revolves around two questions: the archaeological record of the tusian country and the contribution of the artifacts to the history of the people and the territory. The work is divided into ten chapters divided between three parts. The first situates the methodological framework and the study area. The second part is devoted to the study of archaeological sites and the third part presents archaeological objects. This thesis highlights new materials for the history of tusian space. It also contributes to the improvement of the archaeological and historical knowledge of this area. The study identified caves and shelters, anthropic mounds, sites for specific activities (metallurgy, Wickerwork, burial). The archaeological objects consists of potteries, polished stone axes and adzes analyzed from the morphological, typological and functional point of views. To these tools are added grinding wheels and other grinders still in use. The study of the rock art of the area is characterized by an attempt to locate sites of engravings, the identification of the different shapes and the techniques of engravings. Concerning the ancient metallurgy of iron, the study proposes an inventory of the main artifacts based on typology, chronology and spatial distribution

Texte intégralA lot of intellectual disability (ID) genes have to be discovered. One of the approaches to identify new ID genes is to characterize chromosomal aberrations in affected patients. Array-CGH (Comparative Genomic Hybridization) made it possible to detect small CNV (Copy Number Variations) affecting only one or a few genes. Molecular outcomes of these microdeletions and microduplications are different depending on the position of the gene relative to the breakpoints. We have thus shown the involvement of MBD5 gene in the 2q23.1 microdeletion syndrome and in ID with the characterization of three partial deletions, a partial duplication and the first nonsense mutation described in this gene. We have also described in patients with severe ID a new syndrome associated with 4q21 deletions involving two candidate genes: PRKG2 and RASGEF1B. This syndrome is associated with a recognizable clinical phenotype with marked growth restriction, severe psychomotor delay and absent or severely delayed speech. In addition, we have studied two Xq24q25 duplications affecting GRIA3 gene in boys with ID. The first one affects partially the gene, the second one is located upstream of the gene and is responsible for a position effect. Finally we have studied a consanguineous family with a 8p22 duplication affecting partially TUSC3 gene which is involved in autosomal recessive ID

Texte intégralMicrotubules are highly dynamic polymers playing essential roles in cell division. Gamma-Tubulin, a centrosomal protein, acts within two main complexes, gamma-TuSC and gamma-TuRC. Gamma-TuRC, formed of gamma-TuSCs with at least four additional proteins, is involved in microtubule nucleation at the centrosome. Nevertheless, the role of gamma-TuRC components are not well defined in metazoa. I used RNAi depletion in Drosophila S2 cells to study gamma-tubulin and associated proteins functions in microtubule organization and dynamics. Gamma-TuSC proteins are essential. They are necessary for gamma-tubulin centrosomal recruitment and for mitotic spindle organization. Gamma-TuRC specific proteins are non essential. Gamma-TuRC is the optimal complex for a fully functional mitosis, but assembly of this large complex is not essential for gamma-tubulin centrosomal localization and function, as gamma-TuSC can be targeted directly to the centrosome. Gamma-TuSC participates in interphase microtubule overall organization whereas gamma-TuRC is dispensable for this process. Gamma-TuRC localize along microtubules and stabilize their plus-ends via the control of +TIPs complexes composition. To conclude, gamma-TuSC play a crucial role in microtubule nucleation and organization all along the cell cycle, while gamma-TuRC promotes non-centrosome microtubule functions as microtubule dynamic regulation

Texte intégralAfter the establishment of Buddhism in India, his influence reached the nations, allowing their political and social currents to be engaged with the various beliefs of Buddhism. Maitreya, absorbing various ideas, such as, millenarianism, paradise, eschatology, revolution and asceticism, became one of the most influential deities, who are very much functional in various domains. The scriptural origin of Maitreya is ambiguous and unclear; meanwhile the developments of Maitreya that appear in various traditions are vibrant and diverse. Thus this thesis will identify the scriptural source of departure of Maitreya myth by focusing on the "anointment" detail of Maitreya. Then we will demonstrate the influence of Maitreya cults in various Asian traditions. To analyze numerous cults, Nattier’s version of Maitreya's typology was modified; the modified version accounts for the major themes of Maitreya myth, which are, interpreter's perspective, mysticism, paradise, Mo-fa and devotionalism. For the last section, this thesis will examine the image of Buddhist triads in relation to Maitreya, in comparison with other Buddhist countries in Asia. The usages and variants of triads in Buddhist nations display how the cults were interpreted, influenced and absorbed in the societies. Going through scriptural, typological and iconographical analysis of Maitreya, this thesis will reveal the process of dissemination of Buddhist ideas through the prisms of shared beliefs, political needs and cultural adaptations of each country

Texte intégralG-Tubulin functions in microtubule assembly as two complexes, g-TuSC and g-TuRC. A genetic approach allowed us to study the role of three g-tubulin partners during mitosis, in Drosophila. Dgrip84, a g-TuSC component, is required for viability, for spindle organisation and g-tubulin polar recruitment. It seems to be involved in mitotic checkpoint regulation. Its depletion induces similar phenotypes than g-tubulin or Dgrip91 depletion, the two other g-TuSC proteins. By contrast, the g-TuRC specific proteins, Dgrip75 and Dgp71WD, are not essential for viability. Their depletions do not prevent g-tubulin polar recruitment and induce less drastic phenotypes than g-TuSC protein depletions. G-TuSC seems to be the main functional unit for microtubule organisation. G-TuRC specific proteins may optimise its function
