Résumé :
Recently there were patents on not switched gear continuously variable transmission (CVT) without hydro transformer. In transmission wheelwork with two degrees of freedom and one entrance is used. Adaptive mechanism of CVT provides possibility of output link movement with speed inversely to resistance force at constant input power. However the theoretical description of such transmissions is not convincing enough. Obviously at the basis of creation of adaptive transfers with two degrees of freedom essentially new regularity of mechanics lies. Purpose of present work is to formulate regularities of the mechanics allowing creating the adaptive-mechanical continuously variable transmission. The using of the found regularities will allow creating transmissions with mechanical adaptation to variable technological loading.

Résumé :
The paper describes a new system of mechanical spherical conical friction drive. In the present a row of simple friction, belt, chain, wave and differential variable speed drives is published. For the required range of speed variation they are altogether unfit. The currently used power transmissions are of low efficiency (60–70%). Therefore the better power transmission efficiency is required. The possibility of multicontact power transmission appears as the most suitable principle of the power transmission. Using the designed function model, which was made according to the small tractor producers requirements, the real output kinematical characteristic was measured. It is derived the complete drive conversion unit kinematics and the theoretical kinematical characteristic design. The theoretical design is compared with the real characteristic determined by measuring using the test station. From the measured values we determined that the geometrical characteristic, i.e. the relation between output speed and ring position, corresponds in the ring position range (2.8÷14) mm to the theoretical premise.

Résumé :
This study investigates the limited-slip and steering characteristics of a dual continuously variable transmission system. The dual continuously variable transmission is a unique final drive system composed of two continuously variable transmissions, with one continuously variable transmission connected to each rear wheel. In this study, a dynamic model of the dual continuously variable transmission system is derived, and models of the conventional final drive systems, i.e. the solid axle and the open differential, are used as benchmarks. In the simulations, the dual continuously variable transmission model, the solid axle model and the open differential model are applied to a vehicle dynamic model for split- μ road tests and a series of steering tests. According to the results of the split- μ road tests, the limited-slip function of a dual continuously variable transmission system is verified. The results of the steering tests show that different torque distributions for the inside wheels and the outside wheels while cornering can be controlled with different gain values of the continuously variable transmissions; for this reason, the application of the dual continuously variable transmission system as a torque-vectoring device is proposed, and a basic setting principle is presented. The results of this study establish a fundamental knowledge for developing the dual continuously variable transmission as an advanced final system for improving the vehicle dynamics.

Résumé :
In order to solve the oversize problem of continuously variable transmission, a rod gear pulse continuously variable transmission is designed. The kinematic mathematical models of key components are established by the matrix method and are simulated by MATLAB in a single phase, based on the analysis of basic structure and working principle of transmission. Also, the length requirements of each rod are studied, and the effect of three adjustment manners on the output-speed is simulated in the single phase. Furthermore, the simulations of the movement law of annular gear are achieved on two conditions of both different phases and different eccentricities on 8-phase. The results show that the manner of adjusting the eccentricity of eccentric wheel is the preferential selection of out-speed regulating method, and 8-phase is an optimal phase of transmission; meanwhile, for the rod gear pulse continuously variable transmission, the variable range of transmission ratio is wider and the pulsation rate is far less than the other traditional continuously variable transmissions.

Résumé :
Nowadays, most of continuously variable transmissions (CVT) adopt hydraulic system to exert pressure on the cone-plate, in order to realize variable speed control. Electronic Mechanical Continuously Variable Transmission (EMCVT) studied in this paper, however, used rolling screw mechanism instead of the energy-hungry hydraulic system. Mechanical speed governor controlled by electro was adopted in EMCVT to regulate speed, which not only reduced the automobile’s fuel consumption, but also brought down the transmission’s manufacturing cost and failure rate obviously. Further study on the ratio control strategy of EMCVT was made and digital PID control algorithm with target ratio tracing was raised. Moreover, an improved PID control algorithm, that was integral separation and differential precession algorithm, was given. Platform experiment of EMCVT was finished, thus, the functionality and rationality of this transmission’s mechanical structure was proved, so was the feasibility and rationality of the speed ratio control strategy.

Résumé :
After a short introduction characterizing the general outline of the issue, this paper describes the test results of oil leakage measurements through CVT actuator seals. The research was done using Jatco company's CVT 7 model, the popular gearbox for small passenger cars. Several curves of leakage values are given for both actuators, concerning different conditions such as rotational speed, oil temperature or pressure. In the summary several conclusions are formulated, based on presented test results. The determined maximal value of leakage is about 1 l/min. It emerged that the influence of centrifugal force is negligible. What is more, the observed phenomena are shortly described and projected for more detailed investigation.

Résumé :
The purpose of this article is to propose an infinite variable transmission with orbital pulleys, which consists of two parallel transmission systems. The system comprises a planetary gear set and a continuously variable transmission. The principle of operation of the infinite variable transmission proposed in this article is based on the actuation of one half-sided pulley, which has a translational movement in a direction, and the same amount of movement is reproduced by the other half-sided orbital pulley in reverse to secure that the length of the belt remains constant. The fixed constant horizon enables the infinite variable transmission to change the transmission ratio from negative values to positive passing through zero in a continuous manner without using a clutch or interrupting the system. The dynamic model and prototype of the infinite variable transmission with orbital pulleys are developed for designing, controlling, and validating purposes. The model is obtained using the Euler–Lagrange methodology, and it is experimentally validated by comparing the proposed model with the experimental measures. The infinite variable transmission with orbital pulleys is controlled under different conditions; the experimental results show that the proposed design of infinite variable transmission provides robustness to maintain constant speeds at the output to changes at the input velocity.

Résumé :
A mathematical model of the power transmission through a Van Doorne steel belt continuously variable transmission is developed. The approach is based on a simplified viscous oil shear stress model. This enables the determination of the power transmission loss resulting from shearing the oil film along the traction line. The power to maintain the necessary hydraulic clamping forces is taken into account to optimize the power transmission efficiency. The analytical solution is evaluated numerically and compared with experimental results. Variations in the hydraulic pump displacement that are determined by the required ratio adjustment dynamics show that with a sufficiently small pump, peak efficiencies exceeding 97 percent are possible.

Résumé :
BACKGROUND:Modern agricultural activity requires the use of hightech equipment such as, in particular, a multifunctional tractor, which, according to actual trends, should be an autonomously controlled mobile power plant. In modern tractors, meeting current requirements, multiflow shaft-planetary gearboxes with cumulative effect are used. AIMS:Comparison of the operation principles of two types of automatic tractor transmissions: with hydrostatic drive and with electromechanical drive. METHODS:During the research, a literature review of printed and online publications with technical description of the transmissions of the considered design was carried out. RESULTS:The operation principles of two types of automatic tractor transmissions were considered: with hydrostatic drive (Fendt VarioDrive) and with electromechanical drive (Ruselprom-electroprivod LLC). The operation principle of the Fendt VarioDrive transmission (planetary multiflow transmission with mechanical and hydrostatic branches) consists in dividing the torque coming from the internal combustion engine by a planetary gearbox into mechanical and hydrostatic branches, followed by summation of flows by a collecting shaft. The change in the gear ratio and movement direction of the tractor is controlled by the ECU by means of controlling the hydrostatic branch of the transmission. The transmission is nominally continuously variable due to the absence of gears as such. The set of traction electrical equipment of the transmission developed by Ruselprom- electroprivod LLC, installed on a tractor, includes: an synchronous motor generator with a power converter and a microprocessor control system; a traction asynchronous motor of the central drive with a power converter and a microprocessor control system; a DC-DC converter for energy supply of auxiliary equipment. power converters and a DC-DC converter are integrated into the power electronics unit; a top-level controller with controls and indicator panel in the drivers cab. The control system of the electromechanical transmission provides with full control of its operation and the functioning of the internal combustion engine. The operation principle of the system is based on the essentials of hybrid transport operation. Tractor movement is possible in one of two ranges: range 1, operational (0...18 km/h) and range 2, transport (0...42 km/h) CONCLUSIONS:Due to the modern concept of electric drive units, layout solutions with an electromechanical drive having an electric generator in their design are more promising and applicable in the future, especially for trailed equipment.

Résumé :
Compared to conventional transmission layouts, Active continuously variable transmission (CVT) provides smoother gear shifting and gear ratio in smaller increments, and is, therefore, more accommodating the needs of both the driver and passengers. A few notable improvements are enhanced passenger comfort, higher transmission efficiency, and improved acceleration. Incorporating all of the above qualities has become a major developmental focus for the automotive industry, and the potential for improvement warrants further investigation. A CVT controls the gear ratio by changing the diameters of the primary (input) and the secondary (output) pulleys by adjusting the hydraulic pressure applied to each using valves. Hydraulic pressure in the channel is developed using a basic pump connected to the input shaft. Excess pressure produced at higher speed is wasted. This study aims to minimize this hydraulic pressure without affecting the transmission’s performance, in order to conserve energy. A user interface was set up and the CVT’s torque converter was modified such that the inner and outer shafts could be operated independently, allowing for full control of hydraulic pressure .This experiment successfully achieved, via a custom LabVIEW program, its goal of controlling the gear ratio between the primary and secondary pulleys whilst operating at lower pressures to those specified by the manufacturer. This proves that it is possible to fully control the CVT whilst operating at a reduced hydraulic pressure.

Résumé :
The present work proposes a numerical approach to model the dynamic behavior of the mounting layout of hydrostatic transmissions in continuously variable transmissions for off-road vehicles. The methodology takes advantage of a finite element model constituted by a rigid body, representing the hydrostatic transmission, connected to the overall transmission frame through a combination of torsional couplings, rolling-element bearings and brackets, considered as flexible components. Bearings, in particular, are substituted with nonlinear springs, while brackets and frames are 3D meshed according to the actual geometry of the system. The model allows to estimate the frequency dependent forces applied on the frame in reference to the loads generated within the hydrostatic transmission. The method is applied on a case study, showing that the torsional joints play a relevant role on the overall NVH behavior of the system and their kinematic characteristics should be carefully defined to tune the loads transmitted on the transmission frame.

Résumé :
Quantum capacity, as the key figure of merit for a given quantum channel, upper bounds the channel's ability in transmitting quantum information. Identifying different types of channels, evaluating the corresponding quantum capacity, and finding the capacity-approaching coding scheme are the major tasks in quantum communication theory. Quantum channel in discrete variables has been discussed enormously based on various error models, while error model in the continuous variable channel has been less studied due to the infinite dimensional problem. In this paper, we investigate a general continuous variable quantum erasure channel. By defining an effective subspace of the continuous variable system, we find a continuous variable random coding model. We then derive the quantum capacity of the continuous variable erasure channel in the framework of decoupling theory. The discussion in this paper fills the gap of a quantum erasure channel in continuous variable setting and sheds light on the understanding of other types of continuous variable quantum channels.

Résumé :
This paper proposes a new transmission scheme of hydromechanical continuously variable transmission (HMCVT) for tractors. The HMCVT has 4 working ranges in each of the front and rear directions. The speed characteristic and the torque characteristic of HMCVT are theoretically derived. On the basis of HMCVT power flow direction, the Крейнeс formula is used to calculate the transmission efficiency. Then, the image analysis method is used to study the influence of parameters on the transmission efficiency of HMCVT, and the main influencing factors are found. The results of theoretical derivation demonstrate that, by coordinating control of the HST displacement ratio and the engagement conditions of shifting clutches, the stepless speed regulation of HMCVT at the tractor speed of 0–50 km/h can be realized. The proposed HMCVT has the ability to continuously transmit and change torque over all working ranges. The overall transmission efficiency of HMCVT is at a high level. To verify the theoretical derivation, Amesim simulation software is used for the modeling and simulation of HMCVT. The simulation results are consistent with the theoretical analysis results. Therefore, the HMCVT proposed in this paper has the advantages of compact structure and high transmission efficiency, and it is suitable for matching tractors.

Résumé :
Abstract: Shock of Monetary Policy Transmission and Macroeconomic Variable in Indonesia: A Structural VAR Approach. The purpose of this paper is to find out how much the shock of monetary policy transmission affects macroeconomic variables in Indonesia and vice versa by using Structural Vector Autoregression (SVAR) model. The results showed that the transmission of monetary policy in Indonesia only gives a weak influence toward inflation, but it greatly stimulates economic growth. However, the shock of macroeconomic variables influences the transmission of monetary policy in Indonesia significantly. Keywords: Structural Vector Autoregression (SVAR), monetary policy, macroeconomic policy.

Transmission spheres used in interferometry are specified by f-number and source wavelength. In this paper, we explore a broadband variable transmission sphere (BVTS) system based on freeform Alvarez lenses that enables variable operation across a broad range of f-numbers and wavelengths. Potential applications and performance tradeoffs are discussed in comparison to conventional spherical transmission spheres. Simulation results are presented for f/15 to f/80 configurations from visible to long-wave infrared sources in a Fizeau interferometer. Simulation results highlight that spherical, coma, and astigmatism impose limits on surface measurement quality.

Résumé :
Abstract Infinitely variable transmission (IVT) is a system which delivers the ratio between two turning elements to a continuous (non-discrete) variation (including zero). This article uses Solidworks software to build and simulate a cam-based IVT system. There are two identical units in the system under examination. Each unit comprises a cam with an oscillating slot connection that swings on a hinge and can be vertically shifted by changing the transmission rate. This modifier can be a power screw or a hydraulic ram. In addition, a grooved wheel and followers or an actuator are included in the system units. The raised wheels swing rotating movement, such that they are coupled by a single-way clutch to the output shaft (ratchet) to move the output shaft one way. During the performance research, cam shapes are considered and examined inside the mechanism. a mixture of the unchanging speed and 1-5 polynomial shapes, used for the current investigation and tailored for The results produced from the simulation generally reveal the theoretical results expected in accordance with the layout of the current IVT system. For all parts in these units, the findings imply a uniform velocity while each unit is powered. In this investigation, nevertheless, the ratchets used cause remarkable fluctuations in the angular speed of the output axis. Further research is therefore urgently needed in the choice and investigation of more efficient ratchets.

Résumé :
The low efficiency restricts the development of pulse continuously variable transmission (P-CVT) mainly, so it is an urgent task to reveal the physical essence of P-CVT, find out the main factor of energy loss, optimize the structure and improve the efficiency. In this paper for this problem, the energy model is established, proposing the calculation method of the energy loss in kinematic pair, the energy loss caused by the resistance of lubrication and the energy loss caused by the damping of the materials of transmission machine. And on this basis, the energy loss will be analyzed specifically by taking the Y2 P-CVT for example, pointing out the corresponding measures which can improve the efficiency. Finally, the physical essence of P-CVT is revealed. Therefore, this paper can provide theory for the efficiency analysis and optimal design of P-CVT.
