Résumé :
It is undeniable that the death of biological parents can affect the emotional development of children. The purpose of this study is to reveal the reality of the emotional development of orphaned adolescents at the Dorkas Sidoarjo Orphanage. To answer the purpose of the author uses a literature study research method in a phenomenological perspective. The findings of this study there are two factors that influence the emotional development of adolescents. The internal factor is the age when teenagers face the death of one or both of their parents, which greatly affects their emotional development: feelings of worthlessness, anxiety and depression arise and some even fall into juvenile delinquency who deal with the police. The external factor is spiritual development and is also supported by a conducive atmosphere full of kinship in the orphanage which has a positive impact on emotional development.

Résumé :
In order to improve the basketball theory and provide theoretical and intellectual support for the scientific, mental health, and sustainable development of basketball, we propose to take the development dynamic mechanism of juvenile basketball as the research object and make a systematic and in-depth study on the dynamic mechanism, the cultivation of Chinese and foreign juvenile basketball reserve talents, and the dynamic dilemma and influencing factors of juvenile campus basketball development by using the methods of literature, questionnaire, and expert interview. A method of cultivating the ring tone of juvenile basketball is proposed. This method is based on Chan algorithm. When the target is close to each base station, the first estimation also needs an initial value to solve the initial solution estimation matrix. The method is also based on multivariate Taylor algorithm, taking into account the measured distance between the targets to be measured, so it will get some useful information, which will improve the positioning accuracy. The experimental results show that the accuracy of the algorithm used in this paper is more than 85%. However, the accuracy of rebounding and passing recognition and prediction is low. The recognition accuracy and prediction accuracy of the test set are slightly lower than that of the effective set, which shows that the performance of the target detection system model in this paper can be further improved through more significant training examples. It is proved that the algorithm based on Taylor ring can meet the needs of teenagers in the basketball coordination and mental health.

Lunatomalacia or avascular necrosis of the lunate in children is a rare disease not described by Kienböck. It is somewhat surprising that the term Kienböck’s disease has been used to describe this disease of the lunate in children. We report our experience in 13 cases and review the literature. In children under 12, the prognosis is very good after immobilization alone. Persistent symptoms may indicate surgery, probably radial shortening, in some older teenagers although the outcome appears better than in adults. We suggest the term lunatomalacia to describe this disorder, in recognition of the term originally used by Kienböck.

The role of parents and youth coaches in the growth and development of adolescent life is significant. This is because there is much news about teenage problems, such as teenage fights, school shootings, alcohol-related accidents, drugs, early pregnancy outside marriage, and teen suicide. Juvenile delinquency due to dropping out of school and lack of parental attention is also often a problem. Adolescent problems can extend to whole communities, schools, churches, cities, and countries. Teenagers at their critical age are trying to find their identity after going through childhood to adult humans. All positive and negative influences in teenagers' lives tend to be easily absorbed, studied, and carried out, even though many are developed as innovations from their creativity. The presence of the adolescent phenomenon from Citayam has recently become the author's interest to examine the role of parents and youth coaches in responding to their influence on teenagers as the next generation of the Kingdom of God. The phenomenon of Citayam youth brings positive and negative impacts and brings a new challenge for parents and youth coaches to answer the challenges of today's youth. This research was made using a qualitative literature study from the Bible, books about teenagers, articles, and social media content about the Citayam youth phenomenon.

Teenagers are the nation's next generation. Adolescents are expected to have a character that is in accordance with the norms prevailing in society. However, the fact is that many crimes are committed by teenagers and originate from juvenile delinquency which is caused by various factors. Both from internal factors such as the psychological condition of adolescents themselves who are unstable due to various changes and problems that have started to emerge in their lives or external factors from an environment that is too free and has a bad impact on adolescents so that they dare to commit crimes. The guidance program is a program aimed at developing social skills and also as a medium for personal development. This research is a qualitative research that uses the literature study method by collecting various scientific articles related to the research topic. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the guidance program was able to solve the problem of social behavior deviance and crime in adolescents based on pre-existing research and it is hoped that this research can add references to academic literacy. From the various studies that have been conducted, it can be concluded that the guidance program is able to be a solution to dealing with deviant social behavior and juvenile crime. In addition, the guidance program must also be adjusted to the needs and problems faced in order to produce effective results. Key Words: guidance, teen, juvenile crime

Résumé :
Children and adolescents are the nation's most important assets, and they must be protected from harmful influences that might lead to juvenile delinquency, which leads to criminal activities, and punishment by the law. In Indonesia, a crime is punished according to the court's ruling. If done to children or teenagers, it can lead to negative stigma and discrimination that can impact their future development. For this reason, other approaches to child-related legal cases, such as restorative justice, must be considered. As a result, this study seeks to assess the impact of restorative justice in Indonesian juvenile courts. The research method used is normative juridical legal research, and the research strategy is legal. Secondary data sources include literature and document investigations. The research concluded that diversion is one of the alternatives for addressing legal issues outside of court, as stated in Law No. 11 of 2012 about the Juvenile Justice System, stressing deliberation among perpetrators, victims, families, and connected parties. Recovery, not vengeance, is the aim.

People born in today's information technology era between 1995 and 2010 are commonly referred to as generation Z (gen Z), namely teenagers born in the digital generation who enjoy the wonders of internet technology. They are proficient in information technology and various computer applications and can easily and quickly access information for educational or personal purposes. They live with smartphones and are very busy with social media. Information technology providing convenience has significantly impacted the way of life of young people from generation Z. Many teenagers cannot control themselves, use information technology in a defective manner, and encourage them to be involved in juvenile delinquency. This study aims to describe and develop learning formulas for generation z in the modern era. This research uses the literature review method, in which the study focuses on domestic and foreign literature. A literature review is a research method that collects data from various literary sources, which are then analyzed to obtain the required information. The results of the literature review found that the concept of spiritual education for generation Z requires efforts in the form of a school with an integrated system with a model of character and spiritual development or integration of faith and practice.

Résumé :
In the past few decades, with the continuous development of pedagogy and educational psychology, the academic community has begun to study juvenile peer bullying behavior more deeply and extensively. Peer bullying, as a non-prosocial behavior, can have lasting negative effects on all group members involved in bullying contexts including the bully, the bullied and the bystander. This paper mainly focuses on discussing and analyzing several aspects of the definition, history, intervention and solution techniques of juvenile peer bullying in the academic field. Through case analysis and literature review, this article systematically introduces the general picture of peer bullying to readers. The findings suggest that despite the extensive studies on intervention and solutions for peer bullying behaviour, there is still a research gap in the early identification of peer bullying among teenagers.

The United States is one of the few nations that permits the execution of offenders for murders committed while under the age of 18. The juvenile death penalty has received considerable media and public attention both nationally and internationally. Yet despite the extensive literature on public attitudes toward the death penalty, little research exists on public attitudes toward the juvenile death penalty. This article examines attitudes toward this penalty, using data collected in a telephone survey of two midwestern cities. A substantial majority of those surveyed opposed the death penalty for juveniles above the age of 14 convicted of murder. The implications of these findings are discussed.

Résumé :
Based on the analysis of archival documents and scientific literature, the article discusses issues related to the formation and functioning of various types of reformatories for juvenile delinquents (school and shelter, probation and supervision station for morally defective children, reception center, children’s home, juvenile colony for difficult children, et al.) that operated in the territory of Vologda Governorate during the initial period of the Soviet era. The data on the location of these institutions, specific features of their management, and the number, composition and confinement conditions of the inmates were clarified. When characterizing the activities of these institutions, along with positive experience, the problems, difficulties and shortcomings in their work were considered and attention was paid to the measures taken to eliminate the latter. The author came to the conclusion that the history of the Vologda juvenile reformatories in 1918 – the 1920s was a reflection of the national policy of the Bolsheviks implemented at the regional level that was aimed at combating homelessness, neglect, and juvenile delinquency, at developing effective measures to eradicate and prevent these negative phenomena, and at searching for an optimal model of an institution for correcting difficult teenagers.

Résumé :
Most fantastic texts are, in the first place, stories of adventure: the risk of being injured or killed is a predetermined part of the plot. This article analyses representations of death in fantastic juvenile literature and the horizons of expectation associated with the genre and the particular motif. In non-realistic narratives death often serves as a framework for culture contact highlighting differences and similarities between fantastic communities and the environment of the audience. The portrayal of death likewise acts as a key marker of personhood by using the motivations and circumstances under which a character kills – or dies – as a feature distinguishing between ‘good’ and ‘evil’. The article also discusses magic as a tool that provides extended means to heal, to evade death or to bring back the dead. This last issue brings significantly into play the morals and ethics of protagonists as well as antagonists. Referenced texts are, among others, The Neverending Story, the Ink-Trilogy, Harry Potter, the Inheritance quartet and Lord of the Rings.

Résumé :
China lacks three categories of education: sex education, education of love, and death education, which correspond to the integrity of the body, the abundance of the soul, and the value of life, but they have become forbidden, obscure, and taboo. In recent years, self-mutilation, suicide, and violence are becoming infantilization, which has a growing negative impact on teenagers. Through literature review, the main arguments of this paper are 1) the social influences caused by the lack of death education 2) the process of developing public awareness of death from 1928 until the present, and 3) the discussion on the first-hand data from the primary questionnaire. Therefore, this paper investigates in-depth domestic death education in China, aiming to find the correlation between whether people have received death education before and their awareness of death.

Résumé :
The goal of this research consists in determination and analysis of the current trends of juvenile crime in Russia. The subject of this article is the basic patterns of juvenile crime identified by keeping track of its dynamics, modification and activity in Russia from 1991 to 2019, and classified by the authors into separate periods – “waves” in accordance with the “bursts” of such type of crime. It is underlined that the timely identification of factors and conditions that lead to the spate of criminal activity among juveniles in a specific time period allows preventing similar situations in future, as well as contributes to the development of an effective toolset for preventing deviant behavior of teenagers. The empirical basis of this research is comprised of the statistical reports on the state of juvenile crime in Russia that are posted annually on the official websites of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation. The authors also lean on the fundamental Russian and foreign research dedicated to the problematic questions of preventing juvenile crime. In the course of studying statistical data that reflect qualitative and quantitative indicators of juvenile crime in Russia from 1991 to 2019, the authors determined five so-called “waves” of juvenile crime: I wave 1991-1997, II wave 1998-2002, III wave 2003-2012, IV wave 2012-2014, and V wave 2014-2019. Examination of media source, publicistic and scientific literature allowed revealing the most probable causes of the sharp increase in criminogenic situation in the juvenile environment. The article also reveals certain negative trends, such as the increase in the rate of grave and especially grave crimes committed by minors.

In today's digital age the use of the Internet in particular social media has become a passion for teenagers. It has led to a decline in ethics and morals in mainstream youth, where social values are becoming one of the identities of indonesians. The article was created because of the writer's interest in bullying and even the death threats made by Indonesian netizens on Thai social media (facebook), which in turn sparked a fight that even prompted hate speech among citizens. The case of course affects Indonesian identity in the eyes of other countries. The main purpose of the article is to learn the level of media awareness and ethics in young children and to analyze how social media ethics can affect national identity. The authors further study using qualitative methods using social social samples (15-17 year old) and supported by the review literature. According to research, the authors have tried to provide some of the problem solutions: socialized media education, maximize family roles as the first "teacher", and government policies on social media users.

Résumé :
The article analyses the debut historical juvenile novel by the German writer Dorit Linke (b. 1971) “Beyond the Blue Border” (“Jenseits der blauen Grenze”, 2014) in the aspect of the literary, historical and pedagogical potential of the text. The main events take place in the Baltic Sea in August 1989 when youths tried to escape from Rostock to West Germany with flashbacks into their life in the GDR. The connection between the periods of the late 1960s and 1980s is emphasized. It was a time of formation or changing the worldview of the main novel’s characters, which belong to three different generations: 1933 (grandfather), 1968 (parents) and 1989 (teenagers). The title of the book points to a kind of marine locus, representing the key stereotypes about the element of water and the inner state of the heroes. The sea is regarded as a constitutive topos, which not only performs the traditional background function of nature but also turns into an artistic image of a literary text. The narrative from the perspective of a teenage girl makes it possible to explain better to the reader of the appropriate age the motives of the incredible act of their peers and helps to get insight into the everyday life of the “Ossi” (residents of East Germany) in contrast to the “Wessi” (West Germans). In this way, the modern German historical juvenile literature demonstrates the relevance for its recipients, performing the cognitive and didactic functions without aggressive interference in the minds of adolescents.

Résumé :
Objectives: The purpose of this systematic review is to investigate the risk factors and association of the incidence of diabetic kidney disease in adolescents with type 1 diabetes (T1D) patients. Methods: We conducted a thorough search of PubMed, SCOPUS, Web of Science, Google Scholar, and Science Direct to find pertinent literature. Rayyan QRCI was utilized during the entire process. Results: We included eight studies with a total of 11,468 T2D patients and 4966 (43.3%) were females. The available literature on the association between T1D and CKD among adolescents lacks epidemiological data on the prevalence and sex differences. Higher eGFR, diabetes duration, low C-peptide levels, glycemic control, age at a clinic visit, advanced glycation end products, and BMI were reported as significant risk factors for developing renal impairment in adolescents with T1D. Conclusion: The results of this research point to the necessity of a standardized screening procedure for the early identification and appropriate treatment of DKD. In order to provide an accurate assessment of this illness, methodological approaches should be taken into account. Furthermore, it's imperative to educate teenagers with T1D about the possibility of DKD, which can result in renal failure and even death. Future improvements in the quality of life for teenagers with T1D are anticipated as a result of this awareness.

Résumé :
This systematic appraisal explores the literature surrounding treatment adherence in teenagers and young adults (TYAs) with cancer, with the aim of identifying influential factors that could affect adherence rates. This area is particularly important due to the increased risk of relapse and death associated with nonadherent behavior. In addition, TYAs are found to be the age group least likely to adhere to medical regimes. A comprehensive review of the literature was conducted and seven studies met the inclusion criteria, the articles were then critiqued using a data extraction form and eight themes were generated and discussed. This review highlights the complexities and difficulties in measuring adherence, as well as the key factors affecting adherence, before identifying implications for practice. Good communication and relationships are crucial between all parties involved in TYAs’ care including the patients, professionals, parents, and peers. A model of adherence was adapted on the basis of the result of the systematic review, other literature pertaining to adherence in TYAs, and the clinical experience of the authors. Personal factors and external factors, along with treatment factors and interactions with the system all have an effect on the patient's response or ability to adhere. It is apparent that there is a need for more high-quality qualitative and quantitative research in this area, with an emphasis on finding interventions that directly improve adherence specific to this age group.

Résumé :
Klitih is a juvenile delinquent in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and is a social violence committed by young people due to many reasons, such as lack of parental care and the failure of schools in fostering positive character. Klitih is a type of youth anarchism carried out on the street by teenagers using samurai, swords, and knives to randomly stab people at night time. This study aims to determine how effective is the parenting role in addressing klitih among adolescents in Yogyakarta. Type of the study is field research with subjects that consist of five parents and five teachers in Banguntapan District, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, and relevant documents of the literature study. The research is a descriptive analysis where the researchers used interview narratives and citations of journals and books as either primary or secondary sources. The results show that parenting in dealing with adolescent clients focuses on three aspects: first, warmth which is determined by parents’ affection and emotional involvement with their children. Second, control which is characterized by parents who enforce discipline on their children. Third, communication between parents and children should maintain open communication. Furthermore, the roles of educational institutions in addressing klitih among teenagers are: the existence of moral education, value education, religious education, social education, intellectual education, spiritual education, democratic education, and the existence of extracurricular activities to instill character education in children.

Résumé :
AbstractAddressing a gap in the extant literature on single-parent families and juvenile delinquency, we distinguish between different types of single-parent families. Using Dutch population register data on nearly 1.3 million children, we performed logistic regressions to assess the relation between growing up in a single-parent family before age 12 and the likelihood to engage in juvenile delinquency during adolescence. Our findings suggest that the likelihood of juvenile delinquency increases (1) when children are born to a single parent, followed by children with separated parents and children experiencing parental death, compared to children growing up with both biological parents; (2) when the single-parent family started at a younger age; and (3) when children grow up with only a biological mother, for both sons and daughters, compared to only a biological father. The relationship between growing up in single-parent families and juvenile delinquency is much more complex than often assumed. Future research should pay more attention to diversity in the composition of single-parent families.

The article offers a variant of updating the modern school literature program by including modern texts aimed at “young adult literature”. In contrast to the foreign practice of publishing and discussing literature for teenagers and “young adults”, in which new children’s literature has long been working with the established taboos of the adult world (themes of death, sex, bullying in the collective, domestic violence, etc.), in Russia the value of such literature is a debatable issue, although a number of popular texts (P. Sanaev, N. Abgaryan, D. Sabitova et al.), obviously, correspond to this trend. Based on an experiment with grade 8 students, who were offered modern works of three thematic blocks (texts dedicated to unknown and tragic pages of the history of the XX century, family themes and topical issues of relations between peers), the potential of modern domestic and foreign literature young adult to encourage interested reading and dialogue with the student is shown. The article presents comments on excerpts from school essays, in which they tell about the texts they read and offer to include in the school course works that are understandable and close to the modern teenager.

The article presents the actual problem of teenagers’ suicides as a reflection of the realities of the modern information society. The research methodology was made up of a general scientific method, namely the analysis of scientific literature on the research topic, as well as methods of statistical data analysis, which made it possible to prove that the modern information society increases the threats in the field of adolescent suicide. As a result of the analysis, it was revealed that the individual psychological characteristics of children and teenagers affect the formation of their propensity for suicidal behavior. In adolescence, children have not yet formed an adequate attitude towards death, which can lead to committing suicide for seemingly insignificant reasons. The main conclusion that we have made basing on the results of the study is the following: adolescence is a very dangerous and unstable period in the development of an individual. Social structure, environment, various events - all these things can have a detrimental effect on the vulnerable, fragile psyche of a teenager. The Internet is a separate and very significant threat, as the global network contains dangerous content. In a modern fragmented society, a teenager is usually left to himself, and if, at the same time, he does not have an emotional contact with his parents (and this contact, as a rule, is absent during this period even in fairly prosperous families), then the teenager has no one to share his experiences or consult. Thus, an unhealthy society creates unhealthy conditions for the development of future generations, and as a result, modern children choose death without even knowing life.

The objective of this article was to bring up discussions about social inequality and the politics of death for black youth in Brazil. In the search to answer whether inequality can be considered one of the factors of juvenile crime, a literature review was conducted through the dialogue between Foucault, Agamben, and, considering Achille Mbembe's theory of necropolitics. The method of approach was speculative research, using reference/bibliographic and documentary research techniques. This article analyses the images of “us”, the “other” and the “enemy” on the example of three books describing the contemporary military conflict through the eyes of a child (“Vovka, who rode a bomb”, KompasGuide, 2018) and teenagers (Anna Zenkova, “Scorpion’s Strike”, KompasGuide, 2021 and Andrei Bulbenko, Marta Kaidanovskaya, “Sit and Watch”, Samokat, 2022). In contrast to the established tradition in Soviet and Russian children’s literature about war, in particular about the Great Patriotic War, where “us” and “the enemy” are always clearly defined, personalized and endowed with a stable set of features, in the works under consideration here the circle of “us” is extremely narrow, questioned and reconstructed by the distrustful and ironic narrator, while the “enemy” is present in the form of an faceless aggressor, represented through comparisons and metaphors as an violent natural element that brings destruction and death. Thus, these works stand apart from the general trend of bringing the “other”, present in children’s literature of recent decades, returning rather to more ancient traditions of representing the enemy.

Résumé :
When we read crime fiction, we oftentimes expect a cast dominated by adult characters. This is likely a result of decades’ worth of popular crime fiction narratives almost exclusively containing adult characters. The earliest literature in the mystery and crime genre that was targeted towards younger audiences contained teenage detectives and adult criminals because it allowed the younger audiences to read about powerful teenagers overthrowing adult authority while still only engaging in acceptable moral activities in an attempt to decrease or discourage juvenile delinquency. A newer trend among young adult crime fiction novels is the adolescent playing the part of the criminal in addition to the detective. Applying social cognitive theory explored in the study conducted by Black and Barnes to the roles of adolescents in Karen M. McManus’s young adult mystery novel One of Us Is Lying and its sequel One of Us Is Next, this paper will analyze the novels’ adolescent characters to show how adolescent characters in young adult crime fiction reflect their young audiences’ desires to subvert adult hierarchies while still displaying acceptable morals and how they possibly influence their sense of morality.

Résumé :
Brawls between students are a very worrying problem for parents, schools, and the community. The brawl has resulted in many victims, both minor and severe injuries, even to the point of death from being hit by sharp weapons. The incident of brawls between students, of course, also disturbed the peace of the general public. Unfortunately, Indonesia has to lose the young generation to succeed in the nation's struggle in an unexpected event. This article aims to determine the function of family socialization and the role of society as social control in an effort to prevent brawls between students. Through the socialization process in children, parents can instill mutual respect for differences, tolerance, cooperation, fairness to one another, and respecting the rights of others, as well as an understanding of the joint obligations of other community members to create a calm, peaceful, and peaceful life. Peaceful and conducive. This effort can prevent teenagers from doing evil deeds such as brawls between students. Society as social control is needed as an element to avoid brawls between students. The community must instill positive values and be supported by mutually agreed rules to prevent juvenile delinquency. A morally conducive society can teach children and young people how to behave, respect differences, respect the rights of others, and carry out their obligations as members of society

Résumé :
The development of the times has had positive and negative impacts on the whole world. The consequences of developments over time are very visible in the social environment. The impact of these developments has had a huge influence on humans, especially teenagers. The problem of juvenile delinquency is quite worrying for Indonesian society at this time. It has been stated that the social environment greatly influences juvenile delinquency. Like in coastal areas for example. Coastal areas are known for their harsh environments. This is due to the influence of both religious, socio-cultural and economic factors. This problem was researched using qualitative descriptive research methods with data collection techniques through observation, case studies and literature studies. By using this research method and through a case study approach we can provide a description of how efforts or prevention of juvenile delinquency in the Wonokerto coastal area include drinking alcohol using group guidance techniques. This problem can be reduced by group guidance efforts that have been carried out by several religious leaders or experts in this coastal area. Perkembangan zaman memberikan dampak positif dan negatif terhadap seluruh dunia. Akibat dari adanya perkembangan zaman sangat terlihat dalam lingkungan sosial. Résumé :
The article presents a clinical case of a rare onset and a special clinical course of juvenile scleroderma. A clinical case of a child who was born and lives in the ecologically unfavorable industrial Donetsk region is described. The literature review of influence of unfavorable environment on morbidity and features of autoimmune pathology course in patients of Donetsk region is offered. In particular, the literature indicates that negative environmental factors lead to an increase in the progression of systemic scleroderma; over the past 20 years, there has been a tendency to increased mortality of children suffering from it, which is associated with deteriorating environmental conditions in industrial regions. The growing incidence and prevalence of scleroderma, the variety of clinical manifestations, and difficulties in early diagnosis of the disease make it important to study the options for the course of this pathology in children and adolescents in the early stages of the disease. A feature of this clinical case was the onset of juvenile scleroderma with severe convulsive syndrome at the age of 8 years, which required Finlepsin at a dose of 200 mg daily. Further course was also uncharacteristic: within 2 years, there was a linear indentation in the forehead on the right side; the patient was diagnosed with linear "saber-shaped" limited scleroderma, Parry–Romberg facial hemiatrophy syndrome, and further developed manifestations of systemic involvement, lesions of internal organs: pneumofibrosis and scleroderma esophagitis. The management and observation of the patient are presented here. It was emphasized that early aggressive intervention led to the prevention of severe organ pathology and death. The described clinical case expands the knowledge of physicians on the clinical polymorphism of the onset and course of the disease, which allows faster and more accurate identification of the disease, timely and adequate therapy, and will lead to earlier stabilization and remission of the disease.

Résumé :
In the family, an atmosphere of harmonious relations between parents and children is needed because harmony in the household greatly influences the growth and development and education of children. But in reality it has become human nature that happiness, misery, suffering, joy, sorrow, harmony, harmony and conflict are events that always come and go in human life. This study aims to describe the impact of divorce on children's psychological development. With this type of literature review research, the authors explain that it is not the end of the husband and wife relationship, but divorced parents must still think about the further development and education of their children because divorce does not only have an impact on husband and wife but the biggest impact is the psychological development of children. The findings of this study are that divorce has a negative impact on the psychological development of children, because in general the psychological development of children whose parents are divorced is very disturbed, besides that the negative impact of divorce is the lack of love and attention from both parents. Household integrity is needed to help the development of psychology and children's education. Lack of attention and affection for children towards the divorce of the child's parents causes feelings of anxiety, confusion, restlessness, shame and sadness. Especially for teenagers, children will experience emotional disturbances and will run into juvenile delinquency and drugs

Résumé :
Pediatric palliative care (PPCs) seeks to promote quality of life in patients or families of children and adolescents with illnesses or conditions that threaten and/or limit life. CPPs are carried out by multidisciplinary teams and the psychologist is one of the professionals who can be part of them. However, the role of the psychologist in this context remains unsystematized in empirical studies and literature reviews. Thus, the objective of this article was to describe, through an integrative literature review, the state of the art of the psychologist's role in palliative care for children and teenagers. It was used the Prisma P protocol, in which 12 databases were accessed and 968 studies were extracted. Six articles were included at the end of screening the abstracts and reading the studies. The publications were analyzed by deductive-inductive thematic analysis, creating three categories: (1) concept of CPPs and end of life, (2) role of the psychologist in CPPs, and (3) understandings about the role of the psychologist in CPPs. The results indicate that the role of the psychologist in CPPs covers all moments of care: focusing on management of emotions, interpersonal relationships, communication, supporting family members after death, beyond the possibility of assisting other health professionals and doing training or supervision. It was observed that there is little integration of psychologists in PPC teams, and a small distinction in the scientific literature regarding the support provided by psychologists and other professionals.

Résumé :
Background:Follow-up cohorts (observational studies) were initiated consecutively or simultaneously to the development of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) in JIA patients(1,2). They help to identify many complications observed only in clinical practice related to off label use, coadministration of treatments, drug misuse, and occurrence of rare or unexpected event. In addition, observational studies include a higher number of patients with a longer duration of follow-up compared to randomised trials. Hence, they have a higher power to capture the occurrence of serious adverse events (SAE) in daily clinical practice3.Objectives:To estimate the incidence of serious adverse events (SAEs) including serious infections, malignancies, and death in patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) treated with biological agents (BAs) in daily clinical practice, using meta-analysis techniques. Methods:We systematically searched, up to May 2019, Medline and Embase databases for observational studies performed in JIA disease under BAs treatment. Outcomes were SAEs, serious infections, malignancies and all-cause mortality. Complementary, the incidence of SAEs in randomised controlled trials (RCTs) with withdrawal and parallel designs was performed by meta-analysis.Results:A total of 31 observational studies were included (6811 patients totalizing 17530 patients-years [PY] of follow-up). The incidence rate of SAEs was similar in observational cohorts and withdrawal RCTs (4.46 events per 100 PY, 95% CI 2.85- 6.38, I2= 95%) and 3.71 events per 100 PY (95%CI 0.0-13.34), I2= 56%, respectively). The incidence of SAE was lower in parallel RCT. The incidence rate of serious infections, malignancies and death in observational cohorts was estimated at 0.74 events per 100 PY (95%CI 0.32-1.30, I2=83%), 0.10 events per 100 PY (95% CI 0.06-0.16, I2=0%) and 0.09 events per 100 PY (95% CI 0.05-0.14, I2=0%), respectively. Infections were the known cause of death in 8 of the 14 deaths. In meta-regression and subgroup analysis, variation of serious infections rates were partially explained by follow-up time (R2= 30.3%, p= 0.0008), JIA categories (all JIA versus polyarticular versus systemic JIA categories, p= 0.001) and cohort quality (Newcastle-Ottawa score ≥ to 6 versus ≤ to 5 stars, p= 0.0025).Conclusion:Our results suggest that the incidence rate of SAEs related to BAs in JIA disease is similar to those observed in randomised withdrawal trials. The overall incidence remained low. However, unsatisfactory description of SAEs prevents analysis of hospitalisation causes. Infection and, to a lesser extent, cancer and death, explain only part of burden of BAs.References:[1]Berard RA, Laxer RM. Learning the hard way: clinical trials in juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Résumé :
In Europe, 82% of minors use a social network (SN). Although SNs offer opportunities for social interaction, they also involve some risks, such as online sexual victimization (OSV). As many as 39% of teenagers are estimated to be at risk of OSV. The literature suggests that risky online behaviors, such as sexting, indiscriminate expansion of SNs, and intimate and face-to-face relationships with strangers met online, can increase the risk of OSV among adolescents. The aim of the study was to investigate the prevalence of OSV and related risk factors in a sample of early adolescents. A cross-sectional study was conducted based on 310 Italian adolescents (12–14 years old) who completed the Juvenile Online Victimization Questionnaire (JOV-Q). Sixty percent of the sample reported at least one form of OSV, with males more at risk than females. Age, gender, and online risk behaviors are predictors of different kinds of OSV. In the whole sample, the most frequent kind of OSV was unwanted exposure to sexual content, followed by sexual pressure, online grooming, and sexual coercion. Sexting and indiscriminate expansion of one’s network increase the likelihood of having been the target of at least 1 OSV in the past year. Early adolescents can face a higher risk of OSV than adolescents, based on known percentages. The study of the prevalence and risk factors in this age group therefore deserves specific attention in order to design programs to prevent and combat OSV.

Résumé :
At the beginning of the twentieth century about one in twenty American teenagers graduated from high school; by mid century over half of them did so; and today six of seven do. Along with this expansion in graduation, the experiences of high schooling became more significant. Though diversity existed at the school level, by the interwar period most high schools offered courses in “higher” academic subjects (literature, mathematics, and ancient and foreign languages), while they gave large numbers of students a chance to practice music, drama, and other fine arts. Business leaders and educators developed programs in technical-skill training. Courses in household economics, personal hygiene, and sex and reproduction appeared as well. A few schools operated with two shifts: day and night Many maximized their capacity by rotating students between newly constructed gymnasiums, stadiums, fields, swimming pools, showers, cafeterias, laundries, machine shops, laboratories, performance halls, and libraries. Some provided up-to-date diagnostic and preventative medical and psychological services. Others developed vocational guidance. Nearly all established relationships with juvenile justice and youth custody agencies. More than any other institution, the increasingly comprehensive high schools of the twentieth-century redefined the social lives of American youths through teams, clubs, bands, and groups engaged in a long list of contests, games, performances, and other events. Early in the century extracurricular activities began to rival formal class work as the primary focus of secondary schooling. Today there is a joke told from Ohio to Texas, funny for its sad truth. Q: How do you pass a school levy? A: Put football on the chopping-block.
