Résumé :
Anatomical characteristics have proved to be an invaluable asset for supporting taxonomic studies on different plant families, such as Asteraceae. Anatomical features can also help clarify taxonomical problems in the Aldama La Llave genus, especially among Brazilian representatives. The present study focussed on Aldama bakeriana, A. discolor, A. grandiflora and A. squalida. These species were chosen because they are difficult to identify taxonomically if the specimens have no flowers, they have biological and pharmacological potential and they are representative species from key morphological groups in the Aldama genus and could help in future taxonomical investigations. Aerial and underground vegetative organs from the four species were described herein for the first time and a comparative analysis was performed to highlight the unique features of each species and determine whether these species can be differentiated in terms of anatomy. All four species analysed were anatomically very similar. However, they could be differentiated on the basis of the set of anatomical features described for each species. On the basis of our findings, we concluded that anatomy is able to provide data to assist with the taxonomic problems within the four species analysed herein. The results also corroborated other studies on the Aldama genus.

Résumé :
Despite the great technological progress that has aided taxonomical identification, taxonomical issues remain for certain species found in remote and/or understudied geographical areas. The damselfly species Ischnura aurora has been the subject of a long-standing taxonomical debate, focused mainly on the existence of morphological and behavioural differences between Asian and Australo-Pacific forms of this species that could justify their placement into two different species. Here, we carried out a comparative morphological analysis of specimens currently identified as I. rubilio from India and I. aurora from Asia and Oceania, combined with the analysis of mitochondrial and nuclear sequence data, both developed by us and available in public repositories. Our results split the Asian and Australo-Pacific forms of I. aurora into two well-differentiated taxonomic units and, hence, different (albeit closely related) species, and support the specific status of I. rubilio. The results of our genetic analyses suggest the existence of a third (and even fourth) taxonomic unit, stressing the need to revise all available material belonging to the different I. aurora subspecies that have been described. Finally, we have identified several questionable DNA sequences currently available in public repositories, upon which previous conclusions about the phylogenetic position of I. rubilio are based. Our study stresses the importance of being able to link available DNA sequence data with voucher specimens as well as to carry out a careful examination of DNA sequence data prior to their inclusion in taxonomical studies.

Résumé :
A combination of taxonomical and molecular technique had done for authentic characterization of medicinally important five Phyllanthus species viz. P. acidus, P. emblica (small and large fruit form), P. niruri, P. reticulatus and P. urinaria. They were analyzed with several taxonomical parameters such as branching pattern, morphology of bark, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds. A dichotomous bracketed key is created for easy identification of the species. RAPD analysis of five Phyllanthus species displayed that P. emblica and P. reticulatus were closely related whereas P. acidus and P. emblica were genetically distantly related. The genus Phyllanthus are diverse, as seen by the 71.68% polymorphism among the five studied species determined by RAPD analysis. The two forms (small and large fruit forms) of P. emblica showed similarity as well as dissimilarity in taxonomic and molecular features. Thus, a subtle revision is necessary in the taxonomical point of view to update their taxa. Dhaka Univ. J. Biol. Sci. 33(1): 121-131, 2024 (January)

Résumé :
A taxonomical revision of the Dacryopinax species in Mexico is presented in detail. Historically, only four species were known in the country: Dacryopinax elegans, D. lowyi, D. spathularia, and D. yungensis. Dacryopinax martinii is reported for the first time from Mexico. Taxonomical descriptions and remarks for all the species, based on macro- and micro-morphology, as well as geographical distribution are included, except for D. yungensis, as its record corresponded to a misidentification of D. spathularia. We propose a new phylogeny including the taxonomic position and relationships of all species, based on ITS and LSU sequence data. Finally, a dichotomous key to identify the four species in Mexico is provided.

Résumé :
Abstract. The present investigation is based on detailed taxonomical analyses combining light microscopy (LM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and critical reviews of publications and type material. This method revealed a higher number of diatom taxa than that reported for the Altiplano, reports that are based on LM and SEM, but force-fitting the taxa into their European relatives. It also became evident that some taxa often reported from the Altiplano do not occur or are less common in this region and that misidentifications are the consequence not only of force-fitting, but also of misinterpretation of the original protologues and illustrations (taxonomic concept drift). These findings have important repercussions on past palaeoecological assessments for the Altiplano, which have been based on ecological information for taxa developing in ecosystems of highly contrasting conditions. Here we present the case of three araphid diatoms, which were reported as known taxa from Europe and elsewhere, but in fact correspond to taxa described as new for the Altiplano or unpublished taxa. It is recommended that: (1) a flora for this region is developed utilizing sound microscopical data and reviewing pertinent type material, (2) key common taxa used for past palaeoecological studies in the Altiplano are reviewed using a taxonomically thorough and critical method, and (3) future palaeoecological studies for the Andes are supported by prior detailed taxonomical analysis.

Résumé :
In the Black and the Azov seas were found 140 species of Amphipoda, concern to 73 genera, 29 families and 3 suborders. Investigations of taxonomical diversity of Amphipoda from the Black and the Azov seas were made. Indices of Average Taxonomical Distinctness Δ+, variability in TaxD index Λ+, Cluster analysis and MDS ordination were made. Taxonomical structure of the Black and the Azov seas Amphipods by indices Δ+ hierarchical aligned and close to total taxonomical list of Amphipoda these seas. By indices Λ+ Amphipoda both the Azov and the Black seas close to expected in average level of variability of structure of taxonomical tree. Two regions – north-west of the Black sea and east of the Black sea were select by indices Δ+, Λ+ and method of MDS ordination. North-west of the Black sea characterize small taxonomical diversity (little of genera and families, many of species). Presence of estuary of big rivers and lagoons with small salinity waters was reason of small taxonomical diversity of north-west region of the Black sea. Amphipoda of East coast of the Black sea have big taxonomical diversity, but a little of species number. The reason – a small shelf, near to coast noted quick increase of depth and small of soft ground. Similarity of taxonomical lists of Amphipoda of north-west of the Black sea and Azov sea was identify by cluster analysis. Ponto-Caspian species live in estuary of big rivers and lagoons with small salinity waters and they characterize of taxonomical structure impoverishment in relation to taxonomical evenness of all Amphipods of the Black and the Azov seas.

Mata, Casanova Noel. « Taxonomical revision of subfamily Anacharitinae (Hymenoptera : Cynipoidea : Figitidae) ». Doctoral thesis, Universitat de Barcelona, 2018. http://hdl.handle.net/10803/586079.

Texte intégral
Résumé :
Superfamily Cynipoidea (Hymenoptera: Apocrita) includes two very different groups of organismes. Macrocynipoids is a paraphyletic group of parasitoids of wood-bearing beetle larvae, characterized by its big size, and with a very low biodiversity. Microcynipoids, on the other hand, are a monophyletic group of smaller wasps (up to 3mm) with two distinct ways of life: while Cynipidae are gall-makers, Figitidae are parasitoids of endopterygot insects. Family Figitidae (Hymenoptera: Cynipodea) includes twelve subfamilies of parasitic wasps. Anacharitinae is one of those, characterized by being parasitoids of the aphid-feeding larvae of Hemerobiidae (Neuroptera). This subfamily included eight genera – Acanthaegilips Ashmead, 1897; Aegilips Haliday, 1835; Anacharis Dalman, 1823; Calofigites Kieffer, 1909; Hexacharis Kieffer, 1907; Proanacharis, 1996; Solenofigites Díaz, 1979 and Xyalaspis Hartig, 1843 – with most of its biodiversity located in the Neotropical and Palaearctic regions. The knowledge of the subfamily was scarce and outdated, and except for Acanthaegilips, there were no recent revisions on the taxonomical status of Anacharitinae species. The diversity of the subfamily in some of the most biodivresity-rich bioregions had not been studied. Thus, a revision was needed. The present Thesis has prosecuted three main objectives: i) studying the Anacharitinae global biodiversity, ii) studying the biology and relationships of its members and their hosts, iii) make the results accessible to the scientific community. These objectives have been accomplished through exmining all the type material of the previously described species, along with large series of unidentified material, deposited in scientific institutions all around the world. The results have been synthetized in identification keys fully illustrated and published in scientific journals with impact factor. The study of Anacharitinae material has led to the following taxonomical changes have been made: - Two new genera have been described: Acanthaegilopsis Pujade-Villar, 2013 and Cornaegilips Mata-Casanova & Pujade-Villar, 2017, the first with teo known species and the former with just one species. - Genera Calofigites, Hexacharis, Proanacharis and Solenofigites do not present changes regarding their taxonomical status. Calofigites comprises two species, while the other three remain as monotypic genera. - Regarding genus Anacharis, 12 species are considered still valid, while 10 are not considered valid anymore: 6 are synonyms, 2 have been designated as incertae sedis, and 2 have been moved to other genera (Aegilips and Figites Latreille, 1802). 8 new species have been described. - Regarding genus Xyalaspis, 8 species are considered still valid, while 5 are not considered valid anymore: 4 are synonyms, and 1 has been moved to other genera (Aegilips). 14 new species have been described. The study of Anacharitinae material has led to the following changes in the known distribution areas of the subfamily: - For the Afrotropical region, 4 genera and 11 species are known to be found there., with one endemic genus: Acanthaegilopsis. - For Asia (includying both the Eastern Palaearctic and the Indomalayan regions), 4 genera and 13 species are known to be found there, 5 of them being found in the Indomalayan region, which holded no previous Anacharitinae records. - For the Australasian region, 3 genera and 4 species are known to be found there. - For the Nearctic region, 4 genera and 17 species are found there, with one endemic genus: Hexacharis. - For the Neotropical region, 7 genera and 39 species are known to be found there. 4 genera are endemic of the region: Acanthaegilips, Calofigites, Cornaegilips and Solenofigites.

ZINNI, MATTEO. « Taxonomical characterization of Posidonia oceanica banquettes and driftwoods-related fauna ». Doctoral thesis, Università degli studi di Genova, 2019. http://hdl.handle.net/11567/944839.

Texte intégral
Résumé :
The proposed work provide a multilevel approach for two beach-related allocthonous inputs: P. oceanica banquettes and driftwoods. Since beaches are commonly perceived as true deserts, their biological values and their ecological importance are often underestimated leading even more inadequate management strategies. Banquettes - more related to seasonal cycles of P. oceanica - have been studied through coil sampling and Berlese-Tullgren extraction, focusing mainly on the infaunal arthropods. Fauna associated to driftwoods has been surveyed through pitfall trapping, aiming to study more surface related organisms. The taxonomical characterization has been followed by estimation of species richness according to the most recent frameworks, to provide an insight to these high-diverse biocenosis inferring meaningful differences within and between sampled sites. The observed diversity has been characterized through a qualitative as well as quantitative approach. Three widely used ecological index, as well as Collembola lifeforms have been applied to study the composition and the structure of beach related fauna. Moreover, as shoreline environments undergo increasing anthropocentric pressure resulting from demographic growth and recreational-only oriented management, the response of the studied fauna to several environmental factors has been analysed through linear models and community composition analysis. The number of observed species is not directly related to the individual abundance recorded for each site. The observed - and often underestimated - taxonomical richness is determined by socalled rare species, which carry most of the diversity information. Nevertheless the composition of the observed communities change in time and space under the combined effects of several enviromental variables.

Résumé :
Since the turn of the century, manufacturing industry has witnessed significant structural changes. Agility, which aims to provide companies with competitive capabilities so that they can prosper from dynamic and continuous changes in the business environment, has become a prevailing manufacturing strategy. However, how to develop a manufacturing strategy based on agility, and how to design and manage global supply chain networks effectively to implement these strategy, are not fully understood. This thesis presents survey based research that was carried out on a number of U.K. manufacturing companies. The research revisited the taxonomy of agility strategies for manufacturing industry developed by Zhang and Sharifi (2007) and investigated the methods of supply chain management employed by different strategic groups. The findings show that whilst the three broad types of agility strategies discovered in previous work (Zhang and Sharifi, 2007) have remained two sub types of agility strategies have been identified. They are named Responsive players, Quick operators, Quick innovators, Proactive players 1 and Proactive players 2. Responsive players placed a high emphasis on supplier selection related practices; Quick operators placed a high emphasis on sourcing management related practices; Quick innovators placed a high emphasis on relationship management related practices; and Proactive players 1 and 2 placed high emphases on almost all practices. This research has made contributions to the theory development of agility strategy and has provides a managerial guide with companies to improve the implementation of agility strategies in supply chains.

Résumé :
This thesis was an attempt to develop a taxonomical scheme that practitioners may employ in classifying services that are procured by the Federal Government along a continuum from procurements that are strategically complex. A secondary research objective was to determine what characteristics are appropriate for classifying services on a strategic basis. A literature review, expert interviews, and survey using 20 heterogeneous sample services were conducted to determine the relationship between characteristics and services. Cluster analysis was used to group services into categories with similar compositions of selected characteristics. A taxonomical structure was developed for classifying services into five categories. Potential benefits may arise via application to staffing and directing of procurement functions and refinement of procurement policy. Is is recommended that the taxonomical model resulting from this research be validated and refined through further use.

This thesis is an attempt to develop a taxonomical structure to use in the classification of the goods purchased by the Federal Government. The primary objective was to develop a usable scheme that practitioners could employ in classifying goods along a continuum from simple to complex. A secondary objective of this thesis was to determine the characteristics of the goods, other than their obvious physical differences, to utilize in classifying. Using 21 randomly selected heterogeneous goods and a scaling process, a survey was conducted to determine the relationship between these goods and the chosen characteristics. Cluster analysis was then utilized to group the goods into categories that exhibited similar characteristics. As a result of the research, a taxonomical structure for classifying the population of Government goods into five categories was developed. The potential benefits from using such a scheme could arise in the staffing and directing of procurement functions, training and education of the acquisition workforce, and refinement of procurement policy. It is recommended that the taxonomical model resulting from this research be validated and refined through further use.

Résumé :
The taxonomical structure of the plant communities of the landscape-technogenic systems were found taking the example Novokryvorizky Ore-Dressing Combine. Taxonomical indexes (ratio member family/genus; family/species; genus/species) were found at the plant communities. The complication of the taxonomical structure was determined by using three entropycal indexes.

Résumé :
This note brings together lessons from the IDBs and other institutions efforts to adapt a skills taxonomy for Latin America and the Caribbean countries. These efforts have focused primarily on the ability to gather and make use of labor market information on skills demand from non-traditional data sources like online job vacancies. Most of these efforts have used the European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations (ESCO) taxonomy to underpin the identification and classification of skills. This note is intended to be a starting point and set of considerations for policymakers who may be considering, or already embarking on, similar efforts to use ESCO or other taxonomical structures to help better analyze, understand and use skills-level information for decision making. It also seeks to motivate the need for additional classification systems that help governments take stock of its citizens skills in increasingly complex and rapidly changing labor markets.
