Résumé :
This article considers three application modes of chemical castration in various countries, which are completely voluntary mode, compulsory mode and the combination mode of voluntary and compulsory. In terms of overseas investigation, the applicable conditions mainly include two aspects: the need to compensate the deficiency brought by the abolition of death penalty, and the social conditions of commutation and parole to guarantee human rights. While some conditions are satisfied to a certain extent in China, the existence of death penalty and the defects in parole and commutation make it unfeasible to introduce chemical castration to China.

Résumé :
AbstractThis paper provides a critical assessment of the term ‘resilience’ – and its highly agent-centric conceptualisation – when applied to how individuals and households respond to hardship. We provide an argument for social conditions to be embedded into the framework of resilience analysis. Drawing on two different perspectives in social theory, namely the structure-agent nexus and path dependency, we aim to demonstrate that the concept of resilience, if understood in isolation from the social conditions within which it may or may not arise, can result in a number of problems. This includes misidentification of resilience, ideological exploitation of the term and inability to explain intermittence in resilience.

Résumé :
ABSTRACT Social work represents an applied profession and academic discipline that promotes social change and development, social cohesion, empowerment and emancipation of individuals. This paper aimed to gain an insight into the perspective of social workers on working conditions and social attitudes towards the profession, with recommendations from professionals for advancing its current position. The thematic analysis was applied within a qualitative research framework. Research results indicated negative perceptions on working conditions among research participants – social workers in Croatia – pinpointing issues, such as financial insecurity, understaffing, inadequate office space, shortage of business vehicles for field visits, an excessive scope of work and administrative burden, disrespect for social workers’ dignity, and difficulties in establishing cooperation with service users. Social workers’ recommendations for addressing these issues concerned: improving working conditions (amendments to the legal framework, employment of professional staff and professional training), improving workplace security (reinforcing the public official status and increasing security staff), and promoting the social work profession, involving enhanced media relations, consistent communication and raising public awareness through best practices from the organisations and institutions in the system. Key words: social work; working conditions; perspectives; society

Résumé :
The main goal of the article is the efficiency justification of energy-efficient house (EEH) from the different points of view: economic, ecological and social. In this case, the EEH under the green economy context was considered by the authors. In addition, according to the Ukrainian ongoing condition, the key preconditions of EEH implementation among the Ukrainian households were allocated. Besides, the main approaches to define EEH are analyzed and systematized by the authors. On this basis, the main bullet points and features of EEH were indicated. The authors determined the EEH opportunities for spreading among the Ukrainian households. It should be noted, that the lack of awareness among the civil society provokes the slow temp of the EEH enlarging in Ukraine. At the same time, the European experience showed that the huge part of their households can be characterized as energy-effective. With the purpose of understand the efficiency of EEH, the authors had estimated the economic benefits of installed solar collector in the household as one of the parts of EEH. According to the results, the authors allocate the restraining factors of the EEH spreading in Ukraine. Thus, the great payback period is one of them. In addition, the high level of the currency rate has negative impact on the payback period. From the other side the continuously increasing of the utility bills have been indicated as a negative stimulate factor. In order to increase the awareness of the EEH benefits under the Ukrainian civil society, the main economic, ecological and social benefits of EEH were systematized by the authors.

Résumé :
Since February 2022, Ukraine has been in a state of constant threat due to a military invasion. In this regard, the activities of enterprises, in particular marketing, require the development of new approaches for survival and development. Social media marketing and advertising can be a particularly powerful tool in these circumstances. The consumer's awareness of the company's news and product range updates, live communication with the client, prompt resolution of controversial and conflicting situations and, in general, constant presence in the information field - this is far from a complete list of advantages that are open to businesses when using social networks. In turn, well-planned targeted advertising allows you to expand the target market almost limitlessly, attracting the most potential age, social and gender groups. Under conditions of external military aggression social media marketing (SMM) turns from a simple competitive advantage into a mechanism for saving both the business itself and the well-being of thousands of migrant families. Advertising, the techniques and practices used to bring products, services, opinions, or causes to public notice for the purpose of persuading the public to respond in a certain way toward what is advertised. The article discusses ways to use SMM and advertising tools, as well as features and tips for the wartime period. The mechanisms of promotion in various social networks, such as Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and others are considered. Regardless of which platforms is used or how it is used, the most important thing to remember is that social media is not a platform to pitch the business. It’s a community to express the personality, demonstrate the values, share useful information, and build up those around the brand. With people naturally following the page and promoting the content, there will be no need for pitching. And with this approach, it is possible to achieve not just the business goals but all of the other intangibles that translate to gratification and fulfillment.

Résumé :
Relevance is determined by the riskogennostju social, political, economic, social and cultural living conditions of Russians, growing uncertainty, fragmenarnostju the functioning of many social institutions. Relevance also lies in the intensity of the negative development orientations of youth as a result of the socio-economic changes and the growing public controversy, resulting in loss of life smysloobrazujushhih ideals, loss of confidence, changing values in public and individual consciousness. The problem of trust/distrust of youth to social agents, personal safety, self-actualization become relevant. Aggressive behaviour becomes the norm of the time. The role of trust as one of the most important factors in the implementation of dialogue in society. Prerequisites for the actualization of the destructive problems are complex and diverse in many respects, part of the Russian society and the socio-economic and political contradictions. The novelty is that the necessity of an interdisciplinary approach in the study of the phenomenon of "trust"; on the basis of a theoretical and comparative analysis of the factors forming confidence as conditions for social dialogue shows that supports socio-cultural situation in the society. Category "trust/distrust" appeared to be integrative, structural and properties of multicomponent, developing and undergoes a transformation.

Résumé :
Arrow’s impossibility result stems chiefly from a combination of two requirements: independence and fixity. Independence says that the social choice is independent of individual preferences involving unavailable alternatives. Fixity says that the social choice is fixed by a social preference relation that is independent of what is available. Arrow found that requiring, further, that this relation be transitive yields impossibility. Here it is shown that allowing intransitive social indifference still permits only a vastly unsatisfactory system, a liberum veto oligarchy. Arrow’s argument for independence, though, undermines any rationale for fixity.

The article is devoted to the study of temporal and spatial characteristics of the conditions of the social environment as potential resources for the social success of subjects. The author's methodology was used (questionnaire “Dynamics of professional life style”); respondents (482 men and women aged 30–50 years old — civil servants, engineers and heads of departments of industrial enterprises, managers) assessed in points the role of social environment conditions as “professional factors”, the dynamics of their professionalism from 20 to 65 years; their socio-demographic and service characteristics were recorded. In the course of statistical analysis, the total sample was divided into different groups (men and women, specialists and managers, representatives of various professions, realized and unrealized in the family sphere); the sums of assessments of the environmental conditions of different social spaces were used (“Parental family”, “Relatives”, “Interpersonal relations”, “Own family”, “Work environment”, “Mesoenvironment”) and relative assessments (reflecting the duration of the duties of the head, managerial experience and family life relative to the age of the respondents). We received confirmation of the hypothesis that different positively influencing conditions of the social environment are not equally significant for all people, people of different sex, age, working in different fields of activity, having different social experience; in case of joint and/or long-term impact, the positively influencing conditions of the social environment are not summed up and do not give a stronger effect than with their separate, selective and/or short-term effects.

Résumé :
This study is an attempt at further specification of the relationship between social class and self-esteem. We argue that the effects of social class on self-esteem are largely experienced through occupational conditions which affect the self-evaluation dimensions of self-efficacy and self-worth. We examine these relationships, with the use of path analysis, for a sample of working men. The path model considers the direct and indirect effects of social class (socioeconomic status and education) on occupational conditions (work complexity; control over work; degree of supervision and routinization), on dimensions of self-evaluation (self-efficacy and self-worth), and on general self-esteem. We found the direct effect of our social class indicators on general self-esteem to be small and insignificant. But occupational prestige was significantly related to occupational conditions, which in turn were significantly related to self-worth and self-efficacy. Education had a direct effect on self-efficacy and self-esteem and an indirect effect on self-esteem via self-efficacy and job complexity. Of the two dimensions of self-evaluation, self-efficacy had a substantially stronger effect than self-worth on general self-esteem. These findings support our expectation that the effects of social class on self-esteem are largely mediated by occupational conditions which affect primarily the efficacy dimension of self-evaluation.
