Résumé :

Con sumo interés hemos leído el caso presentado por González Cruz et al., en el que se describe la presentación clínica del síndrome de enterocolitis inducida por proteínas alimentarias (SEIPA), así como su diagnóstico y tratamiento. Nos llamó la atención que los autores describan la prueba de parche como método de corroboración diagnóstica de esa enfermedad. La guía internacional más reciente no pudo realizar recomendación alguna respecto a su uso debido a los resultados contradictorios obtenidos en estudios clínicos. En el consenso español entre pediatras de atención primaria, gastroenterólogos pediatras y alergólogos pediatras no se recomienda la prueba de parche para la confirmación diagnóstica del SEIPA inducido por proteína de la leche de vaca, el desencadenante más común de esta entidad.

Résumé :

Contexte : Le SEIPA est une allergie alimentaire non IgE-médiée particulière, répondant à des critères diagnostiques précis. Le traitement est l'éviction des aliments en cause. Il n'existe pas de biomarqueur sérique confirmant le diagnostic, ou prédisant l'acquisition de la tolérance. Seul le test de provocation par voie orale (TPO) permet d'évaluer régulièrement la tolérance à l'allergène en cause. L'évolution est le plus souvent favorable chez l'enfant vers l'âge scolaire. Cependant, la sévérité des symptômes et l'absence d'IgE spécifiques justifient une recherche sur le SEIPA pour mieux comprendre la physiopathologie. Hypothèses : Le SEIPA serait associé à une dysbiose digestive, une dysimmunité locale au niveau digestif, une inflammation intestinale chronique, et une augmentation de la perméabilité intestinale. L'inflammation et la perméabilité seraient majorées lors d'une réaction allergique aiguë. Après acquisition de la tolérance, tous ces paramètres reviendraient à la normale. Objectifs : Décrire de manière longitudinale les microbiotes fécaux et salivaires des patients pédiatriques avec un SEIPA, pendant l'allergie et après la tolérance, ainsi que des biomarqueurs d'intérêt évaluant l'inflammation, la perméabilité et la dysimmunité digestive, comparativement à une cohorte de référence. Matériels et méthodes : Des prélèvements fécaux et salivaires ont été collectés chez les enfants avec un SEIPA suivi dans plusieurs hôpitaux de l'AP-HP, après le diagnostic sous régime d'éviction, et après acquisition de la tolérance, ainsi que chez des témoins appariés aux mêmes âges (ratio 1:1). Des prélèvements de selles supplémentaires ont également été récoltés avant et après les TPO. La composition du microbiote a été analysée par séquençage du gène de l'ARN r16s (V3-V4). La fonction du microbiote fécal a été estimée par dosage des acides gras à chaine courte (AGCC) (chromatographie en phase gazeuse). La calprotectine fécale, la neurotoxine dérivée des éosinophiles (EDN), les IgA sécrétoires fécales, et la zonuline fécale ont évalué l'inflammation, l'immunité et la perméabilité intestinale (ELISA).Résultats principaux : De décembre 2019 à mai 2023, 38 patients ont été inclus (âge moyen : 1,3 ans). A l'inclusion, les patients allergiques avaient une dysbiose fécale et salivaire, s'exprimant par une diminution de l'alpha-diversité, une béta-diversité différente, plusieurs genres bactériens différents, et une augmentation de l'abondance relative de l'acétate par rapport aux témoins appariés. Les patients allergiques n'avaient pas d'inflammation intestinale sous régime d'éviction (calprotectine, EDN), mais seulement de manière aiguë et transitoire après une réaction allergique. Les taux d'IgA sécrétoires fécales étaient plus élevés chez les patients allergiques que chez les témoins ou chez les patients tolérants. La zonuline était similaire entre les patients et les témoins. Après acquisition de la tolérance, chez les 22 patients devenus tolérants, les microbiotes fécal et salivaire se sont rapprochés partiellement de ceux des témoins. Les AGCC et les IgA sécrétoires se sont normalisés (augmentation de l'abondance relative du butyrate, baisse du taux d'IgA). Conclusions : D'après les résultats de cette cohorte, et selon les données antérieures de la littérature scientifique, les enfants avec un SEIPA ont une dysbiose intestinale avant le début de l'allergie, une dysbiose intestinale et salivaire pendant l'allergie jusqu'à l'acquisition de la tolérance, puis un retour du microbiote proche de celui d'enfants sains. La réponse immunitaire adaptative locale est exagérée au cours de la pathologie, avec une augmentation des IgA sécrétoires fécales chez les individus allergiques par rapport aux témoins, et une normalisation après la tolérance. Background: FPIES is a non-IgE-mediated food allergy, meeting precise diagnostic criteria. Treatment involves avoiding the offending food. There is no serum biomarker confirming the diagnosis or predicting the development of tolerance. Only the oral food challenge (OFC) regularly assesses allergenic tolerance. In most cases, children acquire spontaneous tolerance at school age. However, the severity of symptoms and the absence of specific IgE justify research into FPIES to gain a better understanding of the pathophysiology.Hypothesis: FPIES is associated with digestive dysbiosis, local digestive dysimmunity, chronic intestinal inflammation and increased intestinal permeability. Inflammation and permeability are exacerbated during an acute allergic reaction. Once tolerance is acquired, all these parameters return to normal. Objectives: To provide a longitudinal description of the faecal and salivary microbiota of paediatric patients with SEIPA, at the times of allergy and tolerance, as well as biomarkers of interest assessing inflammation, permeability and digestive dysimmunity, compared with a reference cohort. Materials and methods: Faecal and salivary samples were collected from children with FPIES followed in several AP-HP hospitals, after diagnosis on an elimination diet, and after acquiring tolerance, as well as from matched controls at the same ages (1:1 ratio). Additional stool samples were also collected before and after OFC. The composition of the microbiota was analysed by r16s RNA gene sequencing (V3-V4). The function of the faecal microbiota was estimated by measuring short-chain fatty acids (SCFA) (gas chromatography). Faecal calprotectin, eosinophil-derived neurotoxin (EDN), faecal secretory IgA, and faecal zonulin assessed inflammation, immunity and intestinal permeability (ELISA).Main results: From December 2019 to May 2023, 38 patients were included (mean age: 1.3 years). At inclusion, allergic patients had faecal and salivary dysbiosis, expressed as decreased alpha-diversity, different beta-diversity, several different bacterial genera, and increased relative abundance of acetate compared with matched controls. Allergic patients did not have intestinal inflammation on elimination diet (calprotectin, EDN), but only acutely and transiently after an allergic reaction. Levels of faecal secretory IgA were higher in allergic patients than in controls or tolerant patients. Zonulin was similar between patients and controls. After acquiring tolerance, in the 22 patients becoming tolerant, faecal and salivary microbiota partially approximated those of controls. Secretory AGCC and IgA levels normalised (increase in relative butyrate, decrease in IgA). Conclusions: According to the results of this cohort, and to previous data in the scientific literature, children with FPIES have a gut dysbiosis before the onset of allergy, gut and salivary dysbiosis during allergy until the acquisition of tolerance, and then a return of a microbiota close to that of healthy children. The local adaptive immune response is exaggerated during the disease, with an increase in faecal secretory IgA in allergic individuals compared with controls, and normalisation after tolerance. Humberto Serpa (n. em 1943) formou-se em arquitetura no ano de 1966 e em urbanismo em 1967 pela Escola de Arquitetura da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (EAUFMG). Apesar do reconhecimento unânime de seus pares, arquitetos e artistas, é um arquiteto mineiro quase desconhecido para a história da arquitetura brasileira. Esta dissertação busca identificar e qualificar toda a obra realizada por esse profissional entre o final da década de 1960 até meados da década de 1990, a partir de documentação levantada em seu arquivo. É a primeira sistematização de fôlego desenvolvida sobre seu trabalho. Sua trajetória profissional e os projetos arquitetônicos são apresentados em ordem cronológica de forma a favorecer o entendimento de sua produção e de seu percurso no contexto da arquitetura de Minas Gerais na segunda metade do século 20.
Humberto Serpa (b. 1943) graduated in architecture in 1966 and urbanism in 1967 by the School of Architecture, Federal University of Minas Gerais (EAUFMG). Despite the unanimous recognition from his peers, architects and artists, he is an architect from Minas Gerais almost unknown in the history of Brazilian architecture. This dissertation seeks to identify and qualify all the work performed by this professional from the late 1960s to mid-1990s, through the documentation of his archives. It is the first in depth attempt of systematization of his work. His career and architectural projects are presented in chronological order so as to facilitate the understanding of its production and its course in the context of the architecture of Minas Gerais in the second half of the 20th century.

L'objectif de cette recherche était de démontrer que la SEGPA est à la fois un lien de socialisation et en même temps un lieu de relégation consenti par les agents sociaux. Pour cela, il nous a fallu comprendre comment s'est structuré le champ de l'enfance inadaptée. Qui sont les enseignants qui y enseignent ? Quelles sont leurs trajectoires ? Ce champ s'est considérablement modifié depuis vingt ans. Les observations et les entretiens ont permis de mettre au jour les enjeux qui se jouent au quotidien entre les enseignants spécialisés et les autres, entre les enseignants et les élèves, entre les élèves et les élèves. Il s'avère que les mécanismes sociaux l'emportent bien souvent sur le pédagogique, au détriment de tous les acteurs, et ce, en raison du poids historique et institutionnel.

Résumé :

L'objectif de ce travail est de réaliser des substrats pour l’effet SEIRA (surface enhanced IR absorption) pour mesurer de faibles volumes de gaz ambiants possédant une signature moléculaire de 3,3 μm à 5,1 μm en exploitant la forte amplification de champ électrique due à la résonance plasmon de surface localisés. A cette fin, nous avons démontré la modulation des résonances de plasmon de surface localisées MIR (LSPR) dans les nanocristaux de ZnO dopés (NCs) dopés à Ga ou Al ainsi que dans des nanofils (NWs) de ZnO dopés Ga (GZO) et dans des nanofils coeur/coquille de ZnO/GZO. En ce qui concerne l’accordabilité de MIR LSPR dans les NC, nous avons modulé la résonance plasmon de surface dans des NC de ZnO dopés Ga et Al, de 3 à 5 μm en faisant varier la teneur en Al et en Ga de 3 à 9 at.%. L’incorporation des dopants s’est révélée homogène jusqu’à 6%. Au-delà (9%), l’incorporation était fortement hétérogène, révélant que la limite de solubilité était atteinte. Les NC présentent une faible activation des impuretés. L'activation était aussi faible que 8%. Les LSPR présentaient également un fort élargissement (largeur-à-mi-hauteur FWHM). Pour accroitre l'activation des dopants, nous avons synthétisés les NC dans des conditions pauvres en O et en passivant les NC synthétisés dans des conditions riches en O (en les isolant dans des matrices telles que Al2O3 et SiO2). Nous avons ainsi augmenté l'activation de 8% à 20% pour les deux stratégies. De plus, l'incorporation des NC dans les matrices a réduit l'élargissement spectral de moitié (de 2200 cm-1 pour les NC déposés à 1100 cm-1 pour les NC noyés en matrice). En correspondance, les effets d’auto-assemblage des nanocristaux sur leur LSPR ont été modélisés par simulation FDTD. Cela a fourni des indications quant aux mécanismes responsable de l’élargissement inhomogènes des LSPR de nanocristaux de GZO. Outre les nanoparticules, nous avons étudié des nanofils ZnO dopés Ga (GZO) et coeur/coquille (ZnO/GZO) synthétisés par CVD d’organométalliques . La première conclusion importante est que le gallium produit un fort effet surfacatnt lors de la croissance MOCVD de GZO. Au lieu de former des nanofils de section hexagonale, l’introduction de Ga modifie nettement l’énergie de surface des faces latérales et conduit à al formation de structures de type « sapins de Noël ». Ce constat est aussi valable pour les coquilles de GZO déposées sur coeur de ZnO. Dans ce cas, les coquilles démouillent et forment des structures hiérarchiques en branches. Concernant les propriétés optiques de ces objets, les mesures de FTIR-photo acoustiques ont démontré une signature d’absorption reliée à la présence de Ga et pouvant être accordée selon la teneur en Ga. Cette absorption reproduit le comportement d’une résonance plasmon de surface. Cette résonance a pu être accordée de 1600 à 1900 cm-1
The scope of this thesis is about developing SEIRA (surface enhanced IR absorption) platform to probe low volumes of environmental gases that possess molecular signature from 3.3 μm to 5.1 μm leveraging the high field amplification of localised surface plasmon resonance (LSPR). To realise SEIRA, we demonstrated tuning MIR LSPR in Al or Ga doped ZnO nanocrystals (NCs) as well as in GZO or core-shell (ZnO/GZO) nanowires (NWs). Regarding tuning MIR LSPR in NCs, we demonstrated tunable MIR LSPR in Ga and Al doped ZnO NCs from 3 to 5 μm varying the Al or Ga content from 3 to 9 at.%. The incorporation of dopant was homogeneous up to 6%. At 9% dopant concentration, the incorporation was inhomogeneous, revealing the solubility limit has been reached. However, the NCs exhibited low activation of impurities. The activation was as low as 8%. The LSPR were characterised by large broadening as well. In order to enhance the dopant activation, we synthesized the NCs in O-poor conditions as well as passivated the NCs fabricated in O-rich condictions (by isolating and embedding them in matrices such as Al2O3 and SiO2 matrices). Both strategies improved the dopant activation from 8% up to 20%. Moreover, for assemblies of NCs dispersed in matrices, the broadening (FWHM) of the LSPR was reduced by half (from 2200 cm-1 in as-deposited NCs to 1100 cm-1 in embedded NCs). Correspondingly, the effect of the self-assembly of the nanocrystals on their LSPR was modeled by FDTD simulation and provided hindsight into the mechanisms responsible for the heterogeneous broadening of the LSPR. Finally, we have studied Ga-doped ZnO (GZO) and core-shell (ZnO/GZO) NW synthesized by MOCVD. The first important conclusion is that Ga plays a major surfactant role during the MOCVD growth of GZO. Instead of leading to hexagonal NWs, the introduction of Ga during the synthesis led to faceted “Christmas-tree” like architectures. The same observation held for core-shell ZnO-GZO nanowires; in the latter case, the GZO shell resulted in a dewetting branched architecture. Regarding their optical properties, photo-acoustic FTIR measurements revealed an absorption feature related to the Ga content, likely to be assigned to a plasmonic effect. This resonance could be tuned from 1600 to 1900 cm

People's names, dates, locations, organizations, and various numeric expressions, collectively called Named Entities, are used to convey specific meanings to humans in the same way that identifiers and constants convey meaning to a computer language interpreter. Natural Language Question Answering can benefit from understanding the meaning of these expressions because answers in a text are often phrased differently from questions and from each other. For example, "9/11" might mean the same as "September 11th" and "Mayor Rudy Giuliani" might be the same person as "Rudolph Giuliani". Sepia, the system presented here, uses a lexicon of lambda expressions and a mildly context-sensitive parser to create a data structure for each named entity. The parser and grammar design are inspired by Combinatory Categorial Grammar. The data structures are designed to capture semantic dependencies using common syntactic forms. Sepia differs from other natural language parsers in that it does not use a pipeline architecture. As yet there is no statistical component in the architecture. To evaluate Sepia, I use examples tp illustrate its qualitative differences from other named entity systems, I measure component performance on Automatic Content Extraction (ACE) competition held-out training data. and I assess end-to-end performance in the Infolab's TREC-12 Question Answering competition entry. Sepia will compete in the ACE Entity Detection and Tracking track at the end of September.

Cílem práce je zhodnotit situaci firmy a její příležitosti na holandském trhu, a doporučit eventuální formu vstupu na tento trh.

ZusammenfassungIm Laufe dieser Arbeit wurde wiederholt deutlich, dass es sich bei der SEPA-Echtzeitüberweisung um eine Sonderform der regulären Überweisung handelt. Der Rechtsrahmen der SEPA Instant Payments ergänzt in seiner Struktur die zur Standard-Überweisung bestehenden Vorschriften. Die Besonderheiten der jederzeitigen Erreichbarkeit, der verkürzten Ausführungsfrist und der Möglichkeit des nachgelagerten Clearings und Settlements wurden über die Regelungen des SICT Rulebooks und der SB EÜ in die verschiedenen Vertragsverhältnisse übertragen.

The connections between shared personal vehicles of individuals with disabilities (IWDs) and their household family members play an important role in the mobility, overall health, and well-being of all involved actors, yet this topic remains mostly overlooked within publicly available research. Families that include a non-driving IWD are more likely to be low-income, and often struggle with the costs of operating a family car but, due to insufficient public transportation options, they own vehicles despite their prohibitive cost. This exploratory study utilized the Systems Engineering Initiative for Patient Safety (SEIPS) model, a framework focused on assessing the interplaying sociotechnical factors that contribute toward work-systems to gain a holistic understanding of the factors that influence household vehicles, safety, and a sense of well-being for non-driving IWDs and their household family members. A combined effort of surveys, interviews, qualitative coding, and statistical analysis (including one-way ANOVA) revealed a series of influential factors, including: (1) slow bureaucratic processes for vehicle funding; (2) error-prone modifications including lift and tie-downs; (3) miscommunications between IWDs and family members; and (4) residential area development and subsequent social support. Findings highlight the need for improved access to government funding, more reliable modification equipment, and interior vehicle designs that consider better social integration for IWDs.

En el presente estudio analizamos el vínculo entre la inclusión financiera y la seguridad alimentaria en Bolivia usando dos nuevas encuestas de hogares bolivianos: la Encuesta SEIA (PNUD, 2020) y la Encuesta de Impacto COVID-19 (BID, 2021). Ambas contienen información inédita de las estrategias adoptadas por los hogares bolivianos para asegurarse alimentación durante la cuarentena estricta impuesta en mayo 2020. Con el fin de aportar a la mejor comprensión de esta relación, analizamos como la inclusión financiera tanto en su forma tradicional (acceso a una cuenta de ahorro), como por mecanismos digitales (uso de tarjetas de crédito y débito, transferencias bancarias, pagos por internet y por QR) fungió como amortiguador ante este shock adverso mitigando la probabilidad de los hogares de sufrir inseguridad alimentaria. Usando un modelo de regresión probabilístico y también un modelo de emparejamiento de puntajes de propensión, los resultados obtenidos indican que los hogares con inclusión financiera digital lograron reducir el riesgo de enfrentar inseguridad alimentaria durante la cuarentena estricta. En el caso de la inclusión financiera digital esta probabilidad se reduce hasta en 17 puntos porcentuales. Dado que los vínculos entre inclusión financiera y sus implicaciones para la seguridad alimentaria en Bolivia no se habían explorado antes, esperamos que este estudio aporte mayor comprensión de este tema.

El propósito de este texto es abordar con los estudiantes, de forma fácil y comprensible, el tema del proceso contable, el cual pueden aplicar en sus proyectos o actividades económicas. Se desarrollan tres etapas básicas del ciclo contable: a) apertura o inicio, b) movimiento o desarrollo y c) cierre; cada una explicada en detalle, con ejemplos prácticos cortos. En la etapa de apertura o inicio, se enfatiza en los aportes que realizan los socios para constituir la sociedad y empezar operaciones, a través del balance inicial. Seguidamente, en el proceso de desarrollo o movimiento, se registran contablemente todas las actividades económicas que se van dando a diario, para luego toda esa información quedar resumida en unos estados financieros básicos: el Estado de situación financiera (balance general), que contiene lo que posee la sociedad (activos), sus obligaciones con terceros (pasivos) y lo que les corresponde a los socios (patrimonio); así como el estado de resultados, que comprende los ingresos (ventas), costos y gastos, y lleva a una utilidad del ejercicio. Se busca al final que el estudiante comprenda el proceso contable y lo sepa aplicar a su proyecto; que entienda, analice y sea capaz de tomar decisiones una vez generados los estados financieros, lo cual le ayudará a ser asertivo y pueda lograr mantenerse y manejar de forma eficiente los recursos con que cuenta la empresa.

Este documento analiza cómo la inclusión financiera, entendida como el acceso y/o uso a medios de pago tradicionales y electrónicos, e instrumentos de ahorro por parte de los agentes económicos en Bolivia, contribuyó al suavizamiento del gasto en alimentos durante los periodos de las cuarentenas estrictas en el contexto de la pandemia COVID en 2020. Usando datos inéditos de la Encuesta SEIA (PNUD, 2020) y la Encuesta de Impacto COVID-19 (BID, 2021) a hogares bolivianos, las cuales contienen variables que permiten estudiar la inclusión financiera, los resultados confirman su papel como amortiguador ante la inesperada y abrupta caída en los ingresos de las familias por la pandemia. Lo anterior permitió que los hogares con inclusión financiera pudieran suavizar su gasto en alimentos hasta en 6 pp en comparación con aquellos hogares que no contaban con inclusión financiera. Esta relación positiva entre la inclusión financiera y el suavizamiento del gasto en alimentos de los hogares bolivianos es robusta al incluir en el análisis el efecto de un shock de ingreso y también de empleo, después de controlar en todos los casos por las características del hogar sociodemográficas, laborales, de riqueza, decil de ingresos, y ubicación geográfica. Esta relación positiva entre inclusión financiera y suavizamiento en el gasto de alimentos es más fuerte en los hogares de menores ingresos, resaltando sus beneficios en el caso de los hogares menos favorecidos.
