Til brug for Carl Nielsen Året 2015 – i anledning af 150-året for komponistens fødsel, som fejres både i Danmark og i udlandet ved en lang række begivenheder som koncerter, symposier, pressefremstød og udgivelser – har Det Kongelige Bibliotek i samarbejde med pladeselskabet Dacapo produceret og udgivet cd’en The Unknown Carl Nielsen. Danish Songs in English i et usædvanligt stort oplag til brug for promoveringen og markedsføringen af Carl Nielsen i udlandet ved bl.a. disse begivenheder. Titlen hentyder til, at som sangkomponist er Carl Nielsen i sagens natur nok relativt ukendt uden for Danmarks grænser, idet hans melodier og korsatser til danske digteres sange og salmer over 400 år jo altovervejende er skrevet til danske tekster, der hidtil kun sporadisk er oversat til engelsk. I Carl Nielsen Udgaven, Serie III, bind 7, der udkom i 2009, findes imidlertid en total oversættelse til engelsk af alle de sang- og salmetekster, 296 i alt, som Carl Nielsen skrev sine melodier til – altså den hidtil mest omfattende sangantologi af danske sange på engelsk – oversat og gendigtet af Holger Scheibel og Stuart Henney. Af disse har professor Niels Krabbe udvalgt 26 og skrevet en indføring, “Nielsen and the Danish Singing Tradition”, som bringes her i dansk oversættelse.

Sange products or decorative serving hoods are a typical cultural heritage of the village of lamtui, Aceh Jaya. The Sange is used for generations by the Lamtui village community. But over time, decorative or sange serving hoods have declined due to so much competitiveness, manual manufacturing and the entry of modern culture, even foreign cultures. This has resulted in many who do not know of the existence of decorative serving hood or Sange which is a characteristic of the gampong or lamtui village. With the declining situation, it is feared that today's young generation will no longer know him. So this research aims are: Efforts to revitalize Sange or Tudung Saji in the manufacturing process, motives and marketing. and This research uses a qualitative approach. AbstractFor the first time Emil Bønnelycke’s Asfaltens Sange (1918) is examined in the context of Marc Augé’s theory of places and non-places in this paper. The analysis of Asfaltens Sange focuses on the implicit presence of places and non-places. Reading Bønnelycke in content of Augé opens up for a new research position; it elucidates his position to ‘supermodernity’. Places and non-places are palimpsests in Bønnelycke’s text about Copenhagen’s urbanity. The main subject in Asfaltens Sange is the walk in Copenhagen. The big city is considered a space of formation that should be ‘read’ to disclose its anthropological status.

One of the goals for researchers of an endangered language is to help the indigenous group to revive and maintain the language that is at risk of disappearing. Sange Phiang, a native Bugun, told me on my first field trip to the Bugun area in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh that “our language will disappear very soon”. Sange, a middle school teacher, fears that in 25 years there will be no Bugun speakers. This fear is not unfounded.

Este estudo de caráter qualitativo e natureza exploratória teve como objetivos detectar a significação do ato de doar sangue; identificar elementos ligados à decisão de tornar-se um doador de sangue; conhecer as dúvidas ligadas à doação de sangue; conhecer a opinião do doador quanto à organização do trabalho realizado pelo serviço; identificar quais estratégias são mais eficientes para o desenvolvimento de um programa de doação voluntária de sangue; identificar a relevância da relação profissional-usuário na conquista de doadores voluntários e habituais. Foi realizado no Banco de Sangue do Hospital Santa Casa da cidade do Rio Grande e os sujeitos foram os doadores que se apresentaram como voluntários, no período de janeiro a março de 2007. Foi solicitado o Consentimento Livre e Esclarecido dos participantes e realizadas entrevistas (semi-estruturadas) para a coleta de dados, as quais foram gravadas e transcritas. A partir do conteúdo das entrevistas, os dados foram classificados em quatro grupos relativos: 1) à significação e o comportamento diante da doação de sangue; 2) à avaliação da organização do serviço e do atendimento ao doador; 3) às estratégias para a promoção da doação de sangue altruísta; e 4) à relação profissional-usuário na fidelização de doadores assíduos. A análise permite perceber que é indispensável desenvolver uma comunicação social eficaz que contemple informação e educação, buscando reduzir os medos, tabus e falsas idéias que podem desmotivar as pessoas a se tornarem doadoras de sangue. Deve-se elaborar ou produzir meios, materiais, mensagens que tenham como função não apenas desmistificar os efeitos da doação, mas, também, despertar a generosidade e solidariedade, e educar quanto à necessidade de doadores saudáveis e regulares. Deve-se explorar os sentimentos dos que doam e não doam para que percebam que a doação se faz de pessoas para pessoas e que, portanto, a responsabilidade pelo abastecimento é de cunho social. Os serviços precisam desenvolver uma filosofia de atendimento aos doadores apoiada na humanização das relações, procurando estar aberto e atento aos questionamentos e responder de forma correta, orientando, acalmando e satisfazendo as necessidades apresentadas pelos doadores. Receber e entender que as queixas podem servir para melhorar o serviço. Desenvolver meios e medir de forma permanente os resultados de indicadores de satisfação que permitam orientar a necessidade de ajustar a prestação da assistência. Também é de extrema valia a implantação de melhorias nos aspectos que estão diretamente relacionados à execução do trabalho para realizar o acolhimento, como ampliação do horário de atendimento, administração da demanda e melhor espaço físico, proporcionando conforto e bem-estar aos usuários.
This study of qualitative character and exploratory nature aimed to detect the significance of the act of donating blood; to identify elements connected with the decision on becoming a blood donator; to know the doubts connected with blood donation; to know the donator’s opinion according to the organization of work done by the service; to identify which strategies are more efficient to the development of a voluntary blood donation program; to identify the relevance of the user-professional relation in the conquest of voluntary and regular donators. It was carried out in the Blood Bank of Santa Casa Hospital in the city of Rio Grande and the subjects were the donators that presented themselves as volunteers, in the period from January to March, 2007. The Statement of Free and Informed Consent of the participants was required and interviews were carried out (semi-structured) for the data collection, which were all recorded and transcribed. From the interview contents, the data were classified in 4 related groups: 1) to the significance and behavior front the blood donation; 2) to the evaluation of the service organization and attention to the donator; 3) to the strategies for the promotion of altruistic blood donation; and 4) to the user-professional relation in the patronization of regular donators. The analysis allows to notice it is indispensable to develop an efficient social communication that includes information and education, seeking for reducing fears, taboos and false ideas which can discourage people to become blood donators. It’s necessary to prepare or produce means, materials, messages that have as a main role not only to desmystify the donation effects, but also, to arouse generosity and solidarity, and to educate about the necessity of regular and healthy donators. It’s necessary to explore the feelings of the ones who donate and the others who do not so that they realize donation is made from people to people and, therefore, the responsibility for the supply is of social nature. The services need to develop a philosophy of attention to the donators based on the humanization of relations, trying to be opened and aware to the questions and answer them in a proper way, orientating, calming and satisfying the needs presented by the donators. Receiving and understanding that complaints may serve to improve the service. Developing means and measuring in a permanent way the indicators of satisfaction results that allow to orientate the necessity of adjusting the giving of assistance. It is also of extreme importance the implementation of improvements on the aspects that are directly related to the work execution to do the reception, such as the increasing of the opening hours, demand administration and better room space, providing comfort and well-being to the users.
Este estudio de carácter cualitativo y naturaleza exploratória tuvo como objetivos detectar el significado del acto de donar sangre; identificar elementos ligados a la decisión de convertirse en un donador de sangre; conocer las dudas relacionadas a la donación de sangre; conocer la opinión del donador al respecto así como sobre la organización del trabajo realizado por el servicio; identificar qué estrategias son más eficientes para el desarrollo de un programa de donación voluntaria de sangre; identificar la importancia de la relación profesional-usuario en la conquista de donadores voluntarios y habituales. Fue realizado em el Banco de Sangre del Hospital Santa Casa de la ciudad de Rio Grande y los sujetos fueron los donadores que se presentaron voluntariamente, en el período de enero a marzo de 2007. Se solicitó el Consentimento Libre y Esclarecido de los participantes y realizadas entrevistas (semiestructuradas) para la colecta de datos, que fueron grabadas e transcriptas. A partir del contenido de las entrevistas, los datos fueron clasificados en 4 grupos relativos: 1) al significado y el comportamiento frente a la donación de sangre; 2) a la evaluación de la organización del servicio y del atendimiento al donador; 3) a las estrategias para la promoción de la donación de sangre altruista; y 4)a la relación profesional-usuario en la fidelidad de donadores asiduos. El análisis permite percibir que es indispensable desenvolver una comunicación social eficaz que contemple información y educación, buscando reducir los miedos, tabus y falsas ideas que pueden desmotivar a las personas a tornarse donadoras de sangre. Se debe elaborar o producir medios, materiales, mensajes que tengan como función no apenas desmistificar los efectos de la donación, pero, também, despertar la generosidad y solidaridad, y educar cuanto a la necesidad de donadores saludables y regulares. Se debe estudiar los sentimientos de los que donan y no donan para que perciban que la donación se hace de personas para personas y que, por lo tanto, la responsabilidad por el abastecimiento es de carácter social. Los servicios necesitan desarrollar una filosofia de atendimiento a los donadores apoyada en el humanitarismo de las relaciones, procurando estar abierto y atento a las interrogaciones y respondiendo de forma correcta, orientando, calmando e satisfaciendo las necesidades presentadas por los donadores. Recibir y entender que las quejas pueden servir para mejorar el servicio. Desarrollar medios y medir de forma permanente los resultados de indicadores de satisfacción que permitan orientar la necesidad de ajustar el atendimiento. También es de extrema valía el implante de mejorias en los aspectos que están directamente relacionados a la ejecución del trabajo para realizar la recepción, con ampliación del horario de atendimiento, administración de la demanda y mejor espacio físico, proporcionando confort y bienestar a los usuarios.

A presente dissertação tem como eixo de análise o romance Sangue de amor correspondido, do escritor argentino Manuel Puig, e sua tradução ao espanhol elaborada pelo próprio autor, Sangre de amor correspondido. Nosso objetivo central é analisar o resultado desse caso emblemático de contato entre o português brasileiro e o espanhol. Para tanto, no primeiro capítulo, procuramos caracterizar o narrador das obras, instância que consideramos comprometida no contato no nível discursivo. No segundo, buscamos definir em qual variante do espanhol está baseada a tradução. No terceiro e quarto capítulos, dedicamo-nos, por fim, à análise do contato entre as duas línguas que se instaura nas versões em português e em espanhol e dentro de cada uma delas. Para tanto, baseamo-nos na hipótese de que, quando se estabelece uma relação de contato entre o português brasileiro e o espanhol, constitui-se uma relação singular que promove uma permeabilidade entre as duas línguas. Partindo desse ponto de vista, buscamos examinar como se constrói essa permeabilidade por meio de uma análise contrastiva entre os dois textos nos níveis lexical, sintático, discursivo e poético.
Our central objective is analyzing the result of this emblematic case of contact between Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish: the novel Sangue de amor correspondido, by the Argentinian writer Manuel Puig, and its translation to Spanish, Sangre de amor correspondido, which was elaborated by the author himself. In the first chapter we characterize the narrator of the novel. In the second chapter we define on which variant of Spanish the translation is based. In the third and fourth chapters, we analyse the result of the contact established between the two languages. We are considering the hypothesis that the contact between Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish results in a singular relation that promotes a permeability between those two languages. Considering this point of view, we analyze how this permeability occurs by a contrastive analysis between the two novels in the lexical, syntactic, discursive and poetical levels.

Uma das principais características tanto das "Sagradas" Escrituras quanto da literatura vampírica é que ambas parecem precisar de sangue para que suas narrativas fluam, é como se todo o texto tivesse nas suas entrelinhas uma corrente sanguínea que conecta o desenrolar da trama. O sangue ocupa um papel fundamental para o desencadeamento dos acontecimentos e também parece ser o elemento usado para dar maior dramaticidade às obras a serem analisadas, criando, desta forma, uma conexão entre a Bíblia e a literatura vampírica. Nossa hipótese é que o vampirismo literário pode ter surgido a partir de releituras do texto bíblico e de obras oriundas do mesmo. Portanto, o objetivo principal desta tese é investigar a dimensão da influência desses textos religiosos sobre os escritores de literatura vampírica. Para tal nos valemos das novelas O vampiro (1816) de John Polidori, Carmilla (1872) de Sheridan Le Fanu e os romances: Drácula (1897) de Bram Stoker, Entrevista com o vampiro (1976) e Vittorio - o Vampiro (1999) ambos escritos por Anne Rice e a Bíblia de Jerusalém edição de 1998. A linha de pesquisa por nós adotada para esta pesquisa é a Teopoética, cujo foco é a comparação entre teologia e literatura. Iniciamos essa tese investigando a Bíblia e as polêmicas que envolvem sua origem, sua construção, seus conteúdos e o Deus retratado dentro da mesma. Em seguida fazemos um apanhado da evolução do vampiro, desde as lendas e mitos da antiguidade até tornar-se um personagem literário no século XVII. A partir de então, investigamos sua evolução dentro da literatura até os dias atuais. Acreditamos que Jesus, Deus e o Diabo serviram de inspiração para os escritores de literatura na construção das características de seus personagens, portanto, averiguamos como esses personagens são mostrados dentro do texto bíblico para que assim possamos justificar nossas hipóteses. Finalmente, fazemos uma análise de como se dá o diálogo entre a Bíblia e os escritos baseados na mesma com a literatura vampírica, usando para tal, trechos das ?Sagradas? que podem ter influenciado os escritores com os quais trabalhamos.

Abstract : A key feature of both the "Holy scriptures? and vampire literature is that they seem to need blood to make their narratives flow, as if the whole text had a blood stream between its lines that connects the unfolding of the plot. Blood plays a key role in triggering the events and seems also to be the element used to give more dramatic effect to the texts analysed in this thesis,thus creating a connection between the Bible and the vampire literature. Our hypothesis is that vampirism in literature may have emerged from readings of the biblical text and writings inspired by it. Therefore, the main objective of this thesis is to investigate the extent of the influence of these religious texts on vampire literature writers. In order to accomplish that we make use of the novellas The Vampire (1816) by John Polidori, Carmilla (1872) bySheridan Le Fanu and the novels: Dracula (1897) Bram Stoker, Interview with the Vampire (1976) and Vittorio - the Vampire (1999) both written by Anne Rice and also The Jerusalem Bible (1998). The line of research adopted is the Theopoetics, which focuses on the comparison between theology and literature. We started this thesis investigating the Bible and the controversies surrounding its origin, its construction, its contents and the God portrayed in it. Then we analyse the vampire evolution, from the legends and myths of antiquity until its transformation in a literary character in the seventeenth century. After that, we investigate its evolution within literature to the present day. We believe that Jesus, God and the Devil were used as source of inspiration by literature writers in the construction of the features of their characters, thus we investigated how these characters are shown within the biblical text so that we could justify our hypotheses. Finally, we analyse how the relation between the Bible and the writings based on it and vampire literature is constructed, looking at excerpts from the "Holy" Scriptures that may have influenced the writers with whom we work.

Les @travaux présentés dans ce manuscrit s'inscrivent dans une optique de valorisation non alimentaire d'une agroressource régionale : la luzerne (Medicago sativa) et plus particulièrement de son pool peptidique. La première partie des travaux a consisté à développer une méthodologie de purification de peptides utilisant la Chromatographie de Partage Centrifuge (CPC) dans un mode de développement particulier, le mode échange d'ions. Une méthodologie de purification par échange d'ions mixte a ainsi mise au point, mettant en jeu deux déplaceurs de façon séquentielle. Par ailleurs, la nature de la phase stationnaire est modulable : homogène ou divisée en deux segments correspondant à un état d'activation différent de l'échangeur. Une étude fondamentale du comportement diffusionnel de l'échangeur dans le système de solvants par RMN DOSY a permis de conforter l'hypothèse de la formation de paires d'ions. L'application du procédé par échange d'ions mixte, que ce soit pour la capture d'un peptide bioactif au sein d'une matrice complexe, ou pour le polissage d'un peptide d'intérêt pharmaceutique, a été réalisée avec succès. Le fractionnement de co-produits issu de la filière industrielle de déshydratation de luzerne a généré des fractions qui ont ensuite été évaluées biologiquement en tant qu'agent antivieillissement potentiel. La purification d'une ciclosporine modifiée à visée anti-VIH est également présentée dans ces travaux. La seconde partie des travaux a porté sur l'évaluation du potentiel des extraits de luzerne comme agent anti-âge cutané, à visée dermo-cosmétique. Le vieillissement cutané est sous la dépendance de nombreux phénomènes moléculaires initiés en partie par des radicaux libres, et amplifiés par l'activation d'une classe particulière d'enzymes : les métalloprotéinases matricielles (MMPs). Le potentiel antioxydant ainsi que l'activité inhibitrice vis-à- vis des MMPs ont été alors évalués. Un extrait brut s'est alors démarqué par son activité antioxydante non-négligeable et une activité inhibitrice prometteuse vis-à-vis d'enzymes clés du vieillissement cutané : les MMP-1 et -3
@This work presented in this manuscript deal with the valorization of alfalfa (Medicago sativa) peptide pool. In the first part of the work, the development of a new methodology for peptide purification using Centrifugal Partition Chromatography (CPC) is described. This process uses the ion exchange mode. A versatile methodology for peptide purification using a new mixed ion exchange mode was developed. A homogeneous or divided, with different exchanger activation rates, stationary phase can also be used. A fundamental study of the diffusion behavior of the exchanger in the solvent system, by NMR DOSY, confirmed the hypothesis of the ion pairs. The application of the mixed ion exchange process, whether for the capture of a bioactive peptide within a complex matrix, or for polishing a peptide of pharmaceutical interest, was successful. Fractionation of alfalfa's extracts generated fractions which were then biologically evaluated as an anti-ageing agent. The purification of an anti-HIV modified cyclosporine is also presented in this work. The second part of the work focused on alfalfa extracts screening as anti-ageing agent. Skin ageing is dependent on many molecular events initiated in part by free radicals, and amplified by activation of a particular class of enzymes: the Matrix Metalloproteases (MMPs). The potential antioxidant and inhibitory activity towards MMPs were then evaluated. A crude extract demonstrates significant antioxidant activity and inhibitory activity towards key enzymes of skin ageing: the MMP-1 and -3

SAGE-PEDD is a computational model for estimating snowdrift shapes around buildings. The main inputs to the model are wind speed, wind direction, building geometry and initial ground or snow-surface topography.
