Abstract There is overwhelming evidence that “pop culture” depictions of age-related losses are primarily negative, ignoring positive adaptive experiences associated with the second half of life. Unfortunately, film as an entertainment medium often creates and reinforces this negative status quo. This presentation describes the usefulness of the Baltes and Baltes S.O.C. Model for offsetting losses – via narrowing and revision of goal priorities (Selection), locating and enhancing resources to achieve positive outcomes (Optimization), and using these to increase one’s personal limits and reserve capacities (Compensation). In addition, positive “S.O.C. Solutions” (Spiehs, 2018) are illustrated for everyday loss scenarios within four new documentary films. These include positive adaptations to four loss domains – personal autonomy (driving), physical capacity (sexual responsiveness), psychological well-being (loneliness and belonging), and environmental destruction (place dependency). Annotated sources will be made available.

Introduction. Kidney ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury is the main cause of delayed graft function in solid organ transplantation. Sonchus oleraceus is a plant with well-known antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities; however, its effects on renal I/R are unknown. Objective. To evaluate whether S. oleraceus extract (S.O.e.) has nephroprotective activity in an I/R model in Wistar rats. Materials and Methods. Animal groups (n=6): sham, I/R (45 min/15 h), S.O.e (300 mg/kg p.o.), and S.O.e + I/R (300 mg/kg, p.o.; 45 min/15 h). Renal function, proinflammatory cytokines, alanine aminotransferase, markers of oxidative stress, and histology were evaluated. Results. None of the mediators evaluated differed significantly between the S.O.e and sham groups. Levels of blood urea nitrogen (BUN), creatinine, malondialdehyde (MDA), and proinflammatory cytokines were higher, and superoxide dismutase (SOD) was lower in the I/R group than in the sham group. Histology showed tubular epithelial necrosis in the medulla and cortex in the I/R group. In the S.O.e + I/R group, S.O.e pretreatment attenuated the I/R-induced increases in BUN, creatinine, MDA, and proinflammatory cytokines induced, SOD was maintained, and histology showed discontinuous necrosis in the medulla but no necrosis in the cortex. Conclusions. S.O.e was neither hepatotoxic nor nephrotoxic. S.O.e. pretreatment showed a nephroprotective effect against I/R.

AbstractBetween 1941-1944, S.O.E. (Special Operation Executive)activity in Romania depended heavily on the collaboration with Maniu and P.N.T (National Peasant Party - Partidul National Țărănesc). In order to improve its activity, S.O.E. has taken steps to create a reliable communication channel between S.O.E. residents in Istanbul and Bucharest. The connections between the residence in Istanbul and the S.O.E. network in Romania were made through the connections of Switzerland and Turkey or through the transmitters sent to Istanbul, Ankara and Cairo, or through radio and radio transmissions launched by the parachute. Our study aims to find the connection between the S.O.E. activity in Romania, the Soviet Iasi-Chisinau offensive and the coup d’etat on August 23, 1944.

The School of Tomorrow (S.O.T.) having the Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) here in the Philippines promises that they can give the most advanced twenty-first-century educational system available, but the experiences and grievances of S.O.T. graduates stated otherwise. This case study intends to determine the key informant's experiences in transitioning from Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.) institution to conventional schools in Capiz. This study utilized interviews, observation, and data reviews in gathering the data while the Mayring (2002) approach was utilized in analyzing the data. Themes came out from the constructs of the interviewees in Capiz, like S.O.T. curriculum is offered in Pre-School to Junior High School only, difficulty in transitioning from S.O.T. school to conventional schools offering Senior High School Program and conventional schools must be adopted and integrated to the S.O.T. Junior High School. The output of the research is the proposed new S.O.T. curriculum model to help address the existing problems.

Résumé :

Rao (1961, '62, '63) introduced the concept of second order efficiency (s.o.e.) of an asymptotically efficient i.e., best asymptotically normal (BAN) estimator. The main purpose of introducing this concept was to discriminate different asymptotically efficient estimators. Rao considered some wellknown methods of estimation for the multinomial distribution with true cell probabilities depending on a single unknown parameter. Nagnur and Aithal (1986) obtained a general expression for the s.o.e. of minimum distance estimators, obtained from a particular form of a distance function given by Taylor (1953) for the multinomial distribution . In this paper we have obtained the expression for the s.o.e. of minimum discrepancy (minimum power-divergence) estimators, obtained from a discrepancy function defined by Cressie and Read (1984) . The distance functions and the discrepancy functions which produce estimators having the same s.o.e. have been identified.

Abstract:Controversy exists as to the neural network whereby peripheral arterial baroreceptor information is transmitted to vasopressin (VP)-secreting neurons of the hypothalamic supraoptic nucleus (s.o.n.). In vivo electrophysiological studies in the rat were undertaken to characterize the selective depression of VP cell activity consequent to activation of peripheral baroreceptors. Electrical stimulation of the diagonal band of Broca (DB) in the rat evoked a similar selective inhibition of vasopressinergic neurons of the s.o.n. Local application of bicuculline, a GABA antagonist, abolished both the DB-evoked and baroreceptor-induced inhibition of VP-secreting neurons. In addition, recordings from DB neurons antidromically activated from the s.o.n. displayed an increase in firing consequent to baroreceptor activation, coinciding with the suppression of firing in s.o.n. VP neurons. These observations collectively indicate that an intrinsic GABA projection arising in the DB cell group selectively inhibits vasopressinergic neurons of the s.o.n. and that this pathway mediates peripheral arterial baroreceptor activity that influences the release of VP in the neurohypophysis. These data may be of critical importance in our understanding the etiology of those forms of experimental hypertension where abnormalities in central baroreceptor pathways have been implicated but not proven.

Se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta y su instrumento el cuestionario. Se determinó que la herramienta leasing operativo permite el ahorro fiscal y mejora las utilidades de la compañía minera Mega Exportadora del Perú S.A.C en los periodos de estudio. Se concluyó que el leasing operativo incide en el estado de resultados y situación financiera de la compañía minera Mega Exportadora del Perú S.A.C, 2019.

Space is a significant environment a work that works in the Work that re-means, in its transformation, the very connotations of performing action. To contain the never-ending process of meaning to which such a work would be subjected, it will be Time: that granitic categorial essence that philosophy, together with Space, indicates as fundamental for any cognitive and speculative exercise. Moreover such an artifact, incorporating History and stories, re-reads – making them readable – living testimonies that animate the place of existence of subjects and objects that last the relative time of their existence, in an attempt to make them and itself eternal. As if the work could take charge of the task of triggering the memorative (making memory) device of the Real, a mysterious aesthetic mechanism that interfaces subjects and objects in the common project to adapt, know and make the world – which is more than the Real, imbued as it is of significant connections and correlations. The object work of art in its positioning (making room) in a place, invites the subject –through an imaginative pact – to signify the world through a simulation of sight that allows Man to pre-see his own possibility of existence before the unknown the real proposes him, responding to his personal S.o.S. he sends daily, threatened by the indecipherable fear of sinking in the unknown.

Abstract A meeting was held on 14th January 1944 to discuss the possibilities which might exist for increased collaboration between S.O.E. and N.K.V.D. in the Balkans. The following agenda was submitted: A review of S.O.E. aims in each area and an outline of their resources with the object of examining the possibilities of a concerted Balkans plan for all countries concerned. The coordination of all these plans into one directive. The possibility of discussing such a plan with the N.K.V.D. in an endeavor to enlist their cooperation and assistance in a common plan for S.O.E., O.S.S. and N.K.V.D. Our article follows the evolution of these plans during January-August 1944.

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo desarrollar estrategias de marketing mix que permitan captar clientes en la empresa Servisalud Nort S.A.C. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo y correlacional, aplicando un diseño no experimental – transversal. Se consideró como muestra un total de 50 clientes de la empresa Servisalud Nort S.A.C., a los cuales se les aplicó como técnica de recolección de datos la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario. La validez y confiabilidad del instrumento fueron validadas por expertos en la materia y por la aplicación del coeficiente de Conbrach, dando como resultado un 0,980 lo que significa una alta confiabilidad entre los datos. Se identificó que, para captar clientes potenciales, el factor de calidad de servicio, tiene un valor significante en la empresa, el 100% de los clientes afirmaron que en la empresa Servisalud Nort S.A.C. los servicios son de calidad y brindan una atención personalizada. Se concluye que, con la aplicación de estrategia de marketing mix en la empresa Servisalud Nort S.A.C. la empresa podrá incrementar sus ventas y elevar el nivel de captación de clientes.

Résumé :

Penanganan pasien narkotika dan psikotropika dengan asesmen baik berupa pemeriksaan fisik, psikis, diagnosis dan rehabilitasi yang pada keputusan akhirnya apakah pasien di rawat inap atau rawat jalan pada hakikatnya semua aturan yang diberlakukan pihak manajemen Rumah Sakit Jiwa Atma Husada sesuai standar yang berlaku.Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional yang berbentuk deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 5 orang dengan teknik pengambilan informan dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan pendekatan Milles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa asesmen pemeriksaan fisik masih belum sesuai dengan S.O.P dikarenakan tidak semua pasien dilakukan pemeriksaan jantung, sedangkan pemeriksaan THT semua pasien dilakukan pemeriksaan. Asesmen pemeriksaan psikis sudah sesuai S.O.P hanya saja pasien narkotika kurang terbuka terhadap petugas terkait permasalahannya sehingga menjadi salah satu masalah yang dialami oleh petugas untuk mengetahui tingkat depresi dan rasa cemas pasien narkotika. Diagnosis dokter sudah sesuai S.O.P dan hasilnya pasien lebih banyak menggunakan opium. Rehabilitasi pasien narkotika sudah sesuai S.O.P dan rehabiltasi rawat inap paling banyak dilakukan kepada pasien narkotika. Diharapkan pihak rumah sakit memberikan gambaran secara jelas terkait pelaksanaan asesmen dan pasien hendaknya terbuka saat dilakukan asesmen.

Objetivo. La presente investigación se realizó con el propósito de determinar el marketing digital y su influencia en la promoción de ventas del centro odontológico Ortodent S.A.C., Trujillo, 2021. Métodos. Consideramos como población objeto de esta investigación a los clientes de Ortodent S.A.C. Por tal efecto, se consideró a 108 clientes que utilizan el servicio de este centro odontológico, mediante el empleo de encuestas, para conocer el nivel de influencia del marketing digital en la promoción de ventas de la empresa. Resultados. Los resultados nos permitieron diagnosticar el nivel de promoción de ventas que tiene la empresa y conocer así la influencia del marketing digital. Conclusiones. El marketing digital influye directamente en la promoción de ventas del centro odontológico Ortodent S.A.C. Trujillo, 2021.

Résumé :

In this investigation, stress corrosion cracking characteristics due to pipe material degradation in the primary stage environment of the nuclear power plant was evaluated. Firstly, after artificially degrading the CF8A steel during 2, 4, and 6 months at elevated temperature, 400°C, assessed the corrosion susceptibility of the degraded material following ASTM G5 standard. And next, stress corrosion cracking (S.C.C.) tests using smooth specimens fabricated with degraded material were conducted in the 2wt.% H 2 BO 3+ Li 7 OH solution at 60°C, and static stress of 0.8 σ y (σ y : yield strength of artificially degraded material). From the results, corrosion rates linearly increased with increasing of degradation period and solution temperature. And both the raw material and the degraded materials were not failed during the S.C.C. test period. In spite of long time test (about 3,900 hrs) under S.C.C. test condition, surface pits or surface corrosion by the electro chemical reaction were not observed. Consequently, CF8A steel using as one of the pipe material in the primary stage of the nuclear power plant showed good S.C.C. resistance in 2wt.% H 2 BO 3+ Li 7 OH solution.

El objetivo de la investigación fue determinar la relación entre la apreciación del clima laboral con la apreciación de la satisfacción del cliente externo de Daruchi Solutions S.A.C. como parte de su estrategia de internacionalización. El tipo de investigación es correlacional. Se utilizó el método deductivo-explicativo. Entre los resultados más importantes resaltan que, la apreciación de los trabajadores acerca de la estructura en la empresa tiene relación con la satisfacción del cliente externo; que, la apreciación de los trabajadores acerca del riesgo en la empresa tiene relación con la satisfacción del cliente; que, la apreciación de los trabajadores acerca del calor en la empresa tiene relación con la satisfacción del cliente; que, la apreciación de los trabajadores acerca del apoyo en la empresa tiene relación con la satisfacción del cliente; que, la apreciación de los trabajadores acerca de la identidad en la empresa tiene relación con la satisfacción del cliente. Como conclusión, la apreciación del clima laboral en Daruchi Solutions S.A.C. no tiene relación con la apreciación de la satisfacción del cliente externo de Daruchi Solutions S.A.C., debido a que no todas las dimensiones del clima laboral tienen relación con la satisfacción del cliente externo de Daruchi Solutions S.A.C.; sin embargo, se halló que el clima laboral de la empresa es favorable.

La presente investigación se realizó con la finalidad de buscar solucionar el problema que atraviesa la empresa Embotelladora Agua del Norte S.A.C., con respecto al posicionamiento de su marca, que es ocasionado por no tener y/o no trabajar un Plan de Marketing Estratégico que ayude a cumplir objetivos a mediano y largo plazo. Se planteó como objetivo principal, el Proponer un Plan de Marketing Estratégico para el posicionamiento de la marca “Agua del Norte S.A.C.”, Chiclayo 2020; y que de acuerdo al propósito y problemática de la investigación, se utilizó una investigación de tipo Descriptiva-Propositiva, y a su vez un diseño No Experimental – Transversal, con un enfoque de Triangulación Concurrente. Para la recolección de información se empleó la técnica de Encuesta y su instrumento Cuestionario, siendo aplicado a una muestra de 70 clientes registrados, de acuerdo a la base de datos de la Empresa Agua del Norte SAC, conformado de 40 preguntas con la escala de Likert, llegando a determinar que el nivel de Posicionamiento de la marca Agua del Norte S.A.C., se encuentra con un bajo nivel de 95.8%, por lo que se tendría que trabajar arduamente en esta variable. Llegando a la conclusión, de que la situación actual de la Empresa Embotelladora Agua del Norte S.A.C. en cuanto a posicionamiento de marca es débil, pues no cuenta con el respaldo de muchos clientes a comparación de su competencia.
