Objective: To describe and critically appraise the economic evaluations of antineoplastic drugs submitted to the ANS during the process of updating its 2020’ list of procedures. Methods: Cross-sectional study of critical analysis of the economic evaluation studies included in the documentation submitted to the ANS with the aim of incorporating them into the list of procedures. The methodological quality assessment was carried out using the Methodology Checklist 6: Economic Evaluations Version 3.0 of the Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network. Results: Overall, 49 economic evaluations were included: 22 cost-effectiveness studies, 10 cost-utility studies, three cost-minimization studies and 14 mixed economic studies. Methodological quality was mostly considered as acceptable or low quality. Conclusion: Economic evaluation studies are fundamental in the decision-making process of incorporating technologies into supplementary health care. This critical appraisal suggests that the quality of the economic studies presented within the proposals to incorporate antineoplastics during the process of updating the ANS 2020 roll was limited. Methodological inconsistencies and lack of transparent reporting reduce the validity and applicability of findings for decision-making

IntroductionOne potential source of bias in randomised clinical trials of psychological interventions is researcher allegiance (RA). The operationalisation of RA differs strongly across studies, and there is not a generally accepted method of operationalising or measuring it. Furthermore, it remains unclear as to how RA affects the outcomes of trials and if it results in better outcomes for a preferred intervention. The aim of this project is to develop and validate a scale that accurately identifies RA, contribute to the understanding of the impact that RA has in a research setting and to make recommendations for addressing RA in practice. Methods and analysisA scale will first be developed and validated to measure RA in psychotherapy trials. The scale will be validated by surveying authors of psychotherapy trials to assess their opinions, beliefs and preferences of psychotherapy interventions. Furthermore, the scale will be validated for use outside the field of psychotherapy. The validated checklist will then be used to examine two potential mechanisms of how RA may affect outcomes of interventions: publication bias (by assessing grants) and risk of bias (RoB). Finally, recommendations will be developed, and a feasibility study will be conducted at a national mental health agency in The Netherlands. Main analyses comprise inter-rater reliability of checklist items, correlations to examine the relationship between checklist items and author survey (convergent validity) as well as checklist items and trial outcomes and multivariate meta-regression techniques to assess potential mechanisms of how allegiance affects trial outcomes (publication bias and RoB).Ethics and disseminationThis study has been reviewed and approved by the Scientific and Ethical Review Board (VCWE) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Study result and advancements will also be published on the Open Science Framework. Furthermore, main findings will be disseminated through articles in international peer-reviewed open access journals. Results and recommendations will be communicated to the Cochrane Collaboration, the Campbell Collaboration and other funding agencies.

Résumé :
ObjectivesTo assess the reporting quality of randomisation and allocation methods in occupational health and safety (OHS) trials in relation to Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials (CONSORT) requirements of journals, risk of bias (RoB) and publication year.MethodsWe systematically searched for randomised controlled trials (RCTs) in PubMed between 2010 and May 2019 in 18 OHS journals. We measured reporting quality as percentage compliance with the CONSORT 2010 checklist (items 8–10) and RoB with the ROB V.2.0 tool (first domain). We tested the mean difference (MD) in % in reporting quality between CONSORT-requiring and non-requiring journals, trials with low, some concern and high RoB and publications before and after 2015.ResultsIn 135 articles reporting on 129 RCTs, average reporting quality was at 37.4% compliance (95% CI 31.9% to 43.0%), with 10% of articles reaching 100% compliance. Reporting quality was significantly better in CONSORT-requiring journals than non-requiring journals (MD 31.0% (95% CI 21.4% to 40.7%)), for studies at low RoB than high RoB (MD 33.1% (95% CI 16.1% to 50.2%)) and with RoB of some concern (MD 39.8% (95% CI 30.0% to 49.7%)). Reporting quality did not improve over time (MD −5.7% (95% CI −16.8% to 5.4%).ConclusionsArticles in CONSORT-requiring journals and of low RoB studies show better reporting quality. Low reporting quality is linked to unclear RoB judgements (some concern). Reporting quality did not improve over the last 10 years and CONSORT is insufficiently implemented. Concerted efforts by editors and authors are needed to improve CONSORT implementation.

Résumé :
Clinical practice guidelines (CPG) can be defined as systematically developed recommendations and related content obtained by reviewing scientific evidence, which help healthcare providers make decisions. CPG is one of the most powerful tools that helps clinicians make evidence-based decisions in practice. Methodologies in areas essential for CPG development, such as for systematic review, risk of bias (ROB) assessment, adaptation, and the GRADE (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluations, are rapidly developing. Therefore, they must be well-understood and applied to evidence-based CPG development. In this regard, it is necessary to learn about the updates and changed in the methodologies for CPG development. This manuscript covers the following CPG development methodologies: (1) main principles of CPG, (2) managing conflict of interest, (3) considering patient value and preference, (4) determination of key questions, (5) ROB assessment, (6) adaptation, (7) rapid guideline development, (8) living guideline development, and (9) GIN-McMaster Guideline Development Checklist.

The exact significance of the Rule of Law principle has been subject to political, historical, philosophical, and legal influences ever since antiquity. Indeed, identifying its meaning is still – and will probably remain – the elephant in the room. Its widely complicated, elusive, vague, and multidimensional nature makes any Rule of Law discussion quite challenging. In the research, while relying upon the traditional significance of the Rule of Law in Europe, we will analyze a new European approach to the principle, shifting from a theoretical to a practical and operational notion. The thesis focuses on the Venice Commission's role in identifying a new notion of Rule of Law and its practical implementation within its Member States. The thesis starts with a reconstruction of the principle’s historical affirmation in Europe from a national point of view through an analysis of the Anglo-American, German and French experiences. Then, projecting the notion in the European scenario, the thesis will focus on the supranational conception of the Rule of Law principle. It will analyze it both in the Council of Europe and European Union scenarios, starting with its formal provision in the Organizations’ founding documents and then concentrating on its practical implementation. This second part will pay specific attention to the interpretative and creative work conducted on the principle by the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Union. With the aim to identify the European common standards on the Rule of Law, it will analyze the most relevant Rule of Law-related case-law. After a brief introduction to the Venice Commission’s composition and credentials, the work exposes its contribution to creating a common European framework on the Rule of Law. Specifically, it presents the innovative aspect of the Venice Commission’s approach to the Rule of Law principle, highlighting three original facets of its working method, defined as inclusive, operational and systemic. Once described the VC’s working method and the innovative aspects of its approach to the Rule of Law, the work focuses on its understanding of the principle. First, the thesis discusses the framework in which the VC’s notion has been developed. After having identified the sources, the work focuses on the principle’s content. We will identify and discuss the elements selected by the Venice Commission as ‘core values’ of the Rule of Law principle. This part of the work will rely on the ECtHR’s and CJEU’s case law and their contribution to identifying common standards on the Rule of Law and on the VC’s interpretation of such standards. Once detected the standards and the benchmarks on the Rule of Law selected by the Venice Commission, the third chapter, adopting a case-study approach, analyzes their practical implementation through the VC’s working method. The analysis converges on some recent and relevant opinions, adopted after the creation of the Rule of Law Checklist, in which the VC has issued its assessment concerning the conformity of the state’s legal framework with the identified Rule of Law’s standards in Europe. This practical approach consists of the study of the Commission’s application within its Member Stats of the standards it has identified and developed based on the common European heritage. The rationale of the research will be to demonstrate the success of the VC’s working method in the Rule of Law’s enforcement within its Member States and the potential strengths of adopting a Common European definition of the principle. As we will see, indeed, a consensual approach on the content of the Rule of Law principle among European organizations and States will surely bring important results in the fight against illiberalism and give new impetus to the promotion of the European founding values.

Abstract Background: The employer has the overall responsibility that the work environment is satisfactory in the work place, the usage stage. Most of the physical working environment factors which the employer has the responsibility for are determined early in the construction process, in the planning and design stage. Work environment legislation describes the tasks and responsibilities for the property developer and design engineers, how the work environment should be considered and who is responsible for the construction process from design to operation stage. The literature describes a development in which architects and other property developers responsibility to take into account the working environment aspect has increased. A responsibility where their efforts are often limited. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to examine which role the occupational health and safetey (OHS) engineer may have to take into account in the planning and design of new office workplaces. Method: The thesis is based on literature review and interviews with mainly working engineers and architects. Results: The literature and interviews shows that the OHS engineer is involved late in the process, resulting in shortages and rebuilding as a measure. It also emerges a situation where the knowledge of work environment legislation of architects are perceived as weak, which is confirmed by those interviewed. Respondents believe that checklist as a tool is used more or less often. Existing checklists from the Swedish Work Environment Authority (Arbetsmiljöverket) are presented in the thesis and are recommended as tool to be used. Conclusion: The interviews reveal that respondents believe that the OHS engineer can act as an expert, based on their knowledge and experience in the planning process. The OHS engineer thus constitutes its expertise and supports the property developer and the design engineer. The role, described in Swedish Work Environment Legislation (Arbetsmiljöverket), construction work environmental coordinator - planning and design (BAS-P) would be a natural role for the OHS engineer. The OHS engineer is given a natural role early in the construction process. Keywords: Construction planning, Architect, Work Environment, Occupational Health Service, Checklist

Résumé :
Class of 2006 Abstract
Objectives: To evaluate the public’s awareness regarding the professional role pharmacists have in a community pharmacy setting. Methods: The study design was a small-scale, cross-sectional survey conducted in two community pharmacy sites. Subjects included patients picking up prescription medications requiring pharmacist consultation. Volunteer participation and completion of the PQ, constituted eligible enrollment into the study. The pharmacy questionnaire (PQ) consisted of 11 statements. Subjects were to read and signify along an ordinal scale whether they strongly disagreed to strongly agree with each statement. A total of 134 surveys were completed and returned for analysis from the two pharmacy sites. Analysis of the PQ looked at responses within and between group demographics, such as gender, age, frequency and reason for visitation to pharmacy. The impact of the independent variables on patient responses to the questionnaire and the differences in patient responses between the two collection periods was analyzed using independent t-tests or a one-way ANOVA. Results: The average response scores were positive for all Statements, ranging from ‘Somewhat Agree’ to ‘Agree.’ The two lowest rated statements were concerning the refusal to fill an unsafe prescription, and checking for prescription 3x for accuracy. The three highest rated Statements were ensuring patient understanding of proper medication use, answering questions about side effects, and pharmacist knowledge and expertise. Women answering questions more positively than men, particularly with ensuring patient understanding of proper medication use (p <0.01) and answering questions about side effects (p <0.05). The pharmacists’ knowledge and expertise was significantly higher rated in women than in men (p <0.01) and older women answered more positively than younger women (p <0.05). The statement about Refusing to fill an unsafe prescriptions had subjects 26 to 35 years old answering more negatively when compared to the 46 to 55 and >65 year old groups (p <0.05). As age increased, subjects responded more positively to the pharmacist verifying dosages, and men disagreed to a greater degree than women (p <0.01). Increases in the frequency of pharmacy visits had a visual trend of more positive responses, but only the verification of dosages was nearly significant (p <0.05). By whom the questionnaire was completed by (self or non-self) had no bearing on the response. Conclusions: Regardless of age, gender, or setting, patients tended to be reasonably familiar with the role community pharmacists take part in as a member of the health care profession.

To suffer from a rheumatic disease may cause physical symptoms such as inflammation, functional impairment and immune reactions. The disease results in consequences in the everyday life that may affect activity performance in roles.

The purpose of this study was to describe how people with rheumatic disease can experience impact on their roles in everyday life.

Integral method was used with match sampling on ten people with rheumatic disease. The instrument Role Checklist and semi-structured interviews were used to obtain a comprehensive and reliable picture of experiences impact in roles.

The result was described in a table, a schematic figure and descriptive text with quotations. The study showed that a rheumatic disease had an experienced impact on roles in everyday life through functional impairments and reduced endurance. The worker-role and home maintainer influenced, since they were decreased or completely missing. People who had developed strategies did not experience as much influence on their roles.

The authors believe that strategies can help people with rheumatic disease to maintain their roles despite sickness. Occupational therapists plays an important and crucial role by teaching strategies enabling people to engage in activities which can cause meaning and satisfaction. This promotes physical and emotional wellbeing for the person.

Résumé :
Background: In many severely mentally disordered children, the clinical presentation is complicated by comorbid affective and behavioral dysregulation. Recently, a highly heritable behavioral phenotype of simultaneous deviance on the anxious/depressed, attention problems, and aggressive behavior syndrome scales has been identified on the Child Behavior Checklist Dysregulation Profile (CBCL-DP). The aim of the present pilot study was to determine an equivalent to the CBCL-DP using the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ). Sampling and Methods: We applied stepwise linear discriminant analyses and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis to data from 543 consecutively referred children and adolescents, aged 5–17 years. The CBCL and the SDQ were completed by parents as part of the diagnostic routine. ICD-10 discharge diagnoses were established in consensus conferences. Results: A combination of five SDQ items (SDQ-Dysregulation Profile, SDQ-DP) yielded the best discrimination of children with and without CBCL-DP and classified 81.0% of the subjects correctly leading to an area under the curve of 0.93. The content of the five SDQ-DP items mirrors well the mixed behavioral phenotype of anxious-depressive, aggressive and attention problems captured by the CBCL-DP. SDQ-DP status was highly correlated with CBCL-DP status and was best defined by a SDQ-DP score ≧5. Conclusions: The psychometric properties of the SDQ-DP have been robustly tested and validated. Based on these results, clinicians may use the SDQ-DP as a useful and economical screening measure to improve the assessment, prevention, and treatment of severe dysregulation in childhood and adolescence. Future investigations should study the longitudinal stability, heritability, and genetic associations of this behavioral phenotype

Résumé :
Deviance at the workplace is the displaying of counterproductive work behavior by the employees that includes in its ambit a set of behavioral activities that jeopardize, sabotage, and undermine the motives, goals, objectives, and interests of the organization at large. The present study makes a modest attempt to study the occurrence of negative deviance in the banking sector through the use of Counterproductive Work Behavior Checklist (CWD-C). The choice of this particular sector has been motivated by the researchers' academic interest and due to the presence of limited number of empirical studies in this area. Further, the study aims to identify the role of gender with regard to the occurrence of counterproductive work behavior among the bank employees. The results of the study point out female bank employees were found to be engaging in abuse and theft significantly more than the male employees, while the men were found to be significantly more likely to commit production deviance than their female counterparts.

Résumé :
This chapter discusses palliative care issues during active dying. This so-called terminal phase or active dying is characterized by a series of changes that affect the dying person, the family, and clinicians. The chapter explains how to assess and predict active dying, the signs and symptoms commonly present, and the role of the family in active dying. An approach to coaching of family members and loved ones is suggested. This approach parallels natural physiologic changes in the dying person, suggesting, for example, how best to nurture the patient when hunger and thirst are gone. It also provides a clinician checklist of things to review once active dying is identified.

The Los Angeles Police Department has developed a systematic approach to investigating and managing cases involving stalking, workplace violence, and threats to high-profile individuals, including celebrities and elected officials. The authors note that there is no checklist or “one size fits all” formula to successfully manage these cases. From the law enforcement perspective, successful case management comes from experience, a fundamental understanding of threat assessment principles, in-depth familiarity with applicable laws, and knowing the available resources within jurisdictional control. This chapter explores the nuances inherent in investigations of this type, the necessity to integrate multiple avenues of prevention and intervention, and the critical role that mental health plays.

Résumé :
The territory of Alto Sertão plays a role of extreme social and economic importance for Sergipe, as it is an important region that produces milk and its derivatives, with emphasis on artisanal Coalho cheese. However, when this food is not obtained under adequate conditions of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), undesirable microorganisms may multiply, which may reflect negatively on the product's final quality, in addition to possible risks to the consumer's health. In this context, this study aimed to diagnose GMPs in establishments producing artisanal coalho cheese in Alto Sertão Sergipano. First, a survey was carried out in partnership with the municipal secretaries of Agriculture of possible cheese factories in the cities of Alto Sertão Sergipano, being chosen five establishments in four cities with the most representative in the production of artisanal Coalho cheese from Alto Sertão Sergipano (Canindé do São Francisco, Gararu, Monte Alegre and Nossa Senhora da Glória). Then, a checklist adapted from ANVISA, 2002, was applied in person, totaling 20 establishments producing artisanal coalho cheese. From the results obtained, it was possible to verify that most cheese factories, regardless of the city surveyed, were not in compliance with the recommendations recommended by current legislation, especially concerning the hygienic and sanitary conditions of the facilities, transport of raw materials, storage of the cheese and lack of training and technical assistance, in addition to failures or absence of GMP. KEYWORDS: Hygienic-sanitary habits, checklist, GMP, artisanal Coalho cheese.

Résumé :
In spite of the fast development of eLearning and distance learning in our countries (Romania and Bulgaria), the MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) phenomenon is not popular enough among educational actors: teachers, researchers, students, lifelong learners or policy makers. More specifically MOOCs are not integrated in the area of higher education at curriculum level. While in Bulgaria there is no research that can confirm or reject the important role of MOOCs for introduction of new reforms, for needs of scientific explorations and for implementation of innovative solutions in university settings, in Romania the situation is a bit different: there are some initiatives related to MOOCs like those developed by University Politehnica Timisoara in the last two years. But in both countries, at this moment there are no clear answers to questions like: Will universities accept the idea of a Massive Online OPEN Course? Who are the target groups? Should existing platforms be used or should a new one be created? How do government authorities see the role of MOOCs in support of university education? Will MOOC projects be started? In this context, the paper presents the authors' learning experience as MOOC activists. We have tried to map / identify which design approaches suit us both at individual and institutional level, by proposing a step-by-step approach that we called the ,,P-OOC (Personal Overview of Online Competencies) Checklist" of a MOOC activist. Furthermore, we'll present an empirical analysis based on an online survey applied to university actors from Europe. Starting from the results, we'll propose a matrix/model of the possible digital perils for academia. Résumé :
This paper presents a protocol used in case studies with the objective to validate a Lean Production methodology in Textile and Clothing Industry (TCI) in North of Portugal. The methodology was developed under a Doctoral Program on Industrial Engineering and Systems. During the development of the methodology, the TCI contextualization was studied in parallel with the development of a survey applied to the TCI companies. The development of the methodology (structured in three phases) was followed by its validation in case studies. Thus, this paper objective is to describe and explain the case study designed and conducted to attain feedback from companies. These case studies demanded a protocol constituted by an overview of the project, the field procedures (meetings and visits, interviews, questionnaires and checklist form), the preliminary questions of the project and the guide for the reports from the case studies. From the field procedures, the interviews was the first instrument used and it allowed the identification of the needs of change, the workers and management role in this change, the expected and achieved results. These preliminary results are presented in this paper. The questionnaire, adapted from others studies, would be used for a better context in the national framework and it would be applied in a following phase as the checklist. It will enable the data and metrics collection related with several aspects, namely work ergonomic conditions. This protocol will allow the knowledge of the work environment for a good implementation of the Lean Production.

Résumé :
Graduates of technical architecture and construction have several work possibilities ahead of them. One is to join firms that carry out supervisory work of construction design projects, and their role in such firms is to perform an in-depth and formal verification of the content of design documents. This paper presents a number of results obtained in practical activities with students, the objective of which was to understand how they would carry out the management of such supervisory tasks by means of a systematic process of item verification. It is thus intended to hold an exercise of how they will eventually organise their professional duties. The results are grouped into five fully systematised checklist tables, one for each of the component elements of design projects (description, attachments, plans, measurements and budgets, and terms and conditions). A total of 108 testing and control checks were envisaged, each of which is well suited to be used, as-is, in a real professional context.

Résumé :
The way that buildings are designed and constructed today has a negative impact on building energy consumption. Facade components are essential in determining the building energy demand during the operational phase. This paper aims to investigate what role the building façade plays in improving the energy efficiency of a low rise office buildings in a Mediterranean climate. Verification of the façade energy performance for one of the Eastern Mediterranean University buildings in Northern Cyprus, namely Rector’s Office Building is the second phase of the study. To conduct the present study, a literature review is used, as well as, an analyze for a group of contemporary low rise office buildings with LEED certification from the Mediterranean climatic zone is achieved to attain the investigation and to set the verification checklist. The study has established the important role that building facade can play to reduce the annual building demand for energy in the Mediterranean low rise office buildings through a set of strategies. Different techniques were used to apply these strategies. According to the verification, the study revealed an attempt to achieve an energy efficient building through the façade design by using specific techniques. Some suggestions have been recommended in order to improve the facade energy performance for this type of buildings.

Résumé :

The paper is to assess contribution of maintenance toward reducing building vulnerability to extreme weather events such as high wind, wild fire and flood. The aims are to gather technical knowledge to develop policy recommendations and guidelines for practice in Australia. Reducing building vulnerability to extreme events is one way of improving building resilience that is partly under the control of the building owners/occupiers. The performance of buildings will decease overtime without effective maintenance and their vulnerabilities to extreme events will increase. What are the opportunities to reduce building vulnerability via maintenance is the key question. Lack of consideration for maintenance during the design phase and lack of proper as-built documentation at completion of construction are the two main deficiencies of the Australian building system. The paper reviews the impacts of weather events in Australia. Losses due to storms, cyclones, wildfires and floods accounted for 96% to total losses due to disasters. Emerging risks for Australia are due to climate change, changes to construction practice and the introduction of new construction products without appropriate control. Maintenance activities currently carried out in Australia include (i) maintenance of essential safety measures, (ii) maintenance for habitability and

(iii) preventive maintenance for extreme events. Maintenance is considered as a post-construction activity and a responsibility for States and Territories governments. Opportunities for reducing building vulnerability vary with the types of events. For storms and cyclones, water penetration remains a recurring and costly issue. For floods, the opportunities for the owners/occupiers are mainly in preparation of the buildings before the floods and subsequent clean up and repairs. For wildfires, the main opportunity is in reducing the risk of ignition due to embers action with appropriate maintenance measures for the buildings and surrounding areas. The main recommendation of the research is to establish a building maintenance manual for each building with prescribed information including (i) as-built construction details relevant to maintenance, (ii) required preventive maintenance checklist.

Résumé :
The number of design studies using statistical testing has increased dramatically over the past decade. While this has benefits, statistical testing requires scrutiny to protect against common errors and misconceptions. To illuminate how these issues affect design, this paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the past decade of studies within the DTM community. Specifically, the paper 1) reviews the background of statistical testing across multiple fields, highlighting recommended practices, 2) discusses its use in the Design community, and 3) provides concrete methods for authors and reviewers to evaluate statistical tests employed in Design Cognition studies. The analysis identifies recurring issues with: ignoring multiple comparisons; deficiencies in study and result reporting; inadequate defense of modeling assumptions; unavailable plots, data, and analysis files for replication; and lack of interpretation of statistical results with respect to practical outcomes or alternate forms of scientific inquiry. Based upon practices already adopted in other research communities, we put forth: 1) checklists that help authors and reviewers verify data reporting, analysis, and statistical assumptions; and 2) design guidelines for creating more reproducible design experiments. Ultimately, we argue that design researchers, reviewers, and editors should view statistical testing less like a sword and more like a scalpel — a specialized tool best used in concert with other techniques — to gain a more complete picture of Design Cognition.

Multisensory design in workplace plays an important role in the sense of wellbeing and sense of coherence of its users. Both are important for workplace productivity and efficiency. Workplace designs are often driven by maximising capacity and corporate identities rather than the need for improving the quality of environments and sense of wellbeing of its users which is critical for optimising workplace productivity. Multisensory design features vary across workplace environments and the response to such may also vary based on the user groups, their background, cultural differences, type of profession or work being performed etc. The study aims to explore multisensory design in workplace and its impact on sense of wellbeing and coherence of its users in a case study of a workplace of academics in a Higher Education Institution. A qualitative approach is used to collect data on user perceptions via in-depth interviews, memory sketching, visual surveys etc. The workplace multisensory design features are assessed using checklists and photographic observations. Findings show that universal factors such as adequate privacy, availability of biophilia, informal interactions in the workplace and the flexibility for personalisation enhanced sense of wellbeing and coherence in workplace., which led to a positive impact on workplace productivity.in the users.

Résumé :
The paper is an investigation of the underlying factors that eventually lead to achieving autonomy and automaticity in the process of language learning. It starts from an experimental procedure of assessing speaking among students in Tourism, at Babes-Bolyai University. Initially designed as a task for developing fluency outside the classroom context (the test of real linguistic autonomy), the recorded spoken productions of students in Tourism were integrated in the final assessment. The paper discusses the importance of a task-based approach, a task-based syllabus and of collaborative tasks. It also questions the way technology assists the teaching and assessment practices by looking into the advantages of using wikis in and outside the classroom context. As assessing speaking is time and resource-consuming, solutions to making it more efficient and less class-dependent must be identified. Another key-issue that the paper addresses is that of authenticity: the authenticity of tasks, of context, of participants. Students' recorded productions were organized in an authentic context(hotel industry) and this helps develop communicative competence and an awareness of the needs of the job market. From a pedagogical perspective, a selection of the video recordings presented in class offered students the possibility to self-assess and inter-assess their linguistic competence (use of checklists). The role of feedback and washback is further analysed in relation to the question of the assessment impact on the overall teaching practice. This, in turn, should closely respect the basic principles of assessment (feasibility, validity, authenticity), as they are formulated in the Common European Framework of Languages.

Résumé :
Reciprocating compressors are extensively used on high pressure and critical applications in all industries. These equipment needs through review of design of various components for a failsafe design. API-618 specifies various details about construction of various components, but due to OEM design by compressor vendor, proper review is not done or due to cost economic of equipment these are not given importance. There are many examples when accident took place when these issues were ignored or correct assembly procedure for assembly of components is not followed and there were mistakes in design of piping system. In this paper, some of such cases are discussed and improvements are suggested for preventing any safety incidents. The issues described are designs of unloaders and venting system, unloader and vent piping, cylinder tap off connections, end clearance pocket unloaders, distance piece and crank case venting system, purge system for motors. One of the risks with valve unloaders is the contamination of the instrument air with flammable gas specially on high pressure application. The instrument air may get contaminated with hydrocarbon if unloader leaking from stem and leak off gas tubing which is connected to flare may get interchanged with the instrument air connection. The same mistake if not noticed & compressor started, it may lead to the incident where compressor can show showed a strange vibration pattern, and instrument air header may get contaminated with hydrocarbon gases. Another issue is crank case pressurisation due to improper venting system which can lead to pressurisation of crank case, failure of oil seals leading to flywheel end bearing failures. Further checking for finding reasons of crank case pressurisation, it is observed that excessive rod packing leaks results from incorrect leveling of compressor, distance and cylinders. Motor purge system is one of the essential requirements for starting large reciprocating compressors; mistake in design/fabrication of vent system may create unsafe condition leading to explosion in motor. All issues have been discussed in paper and various solutions and fail safe design have been suggested to improve safety and reliability. The studies also indicates that proper start up procedure and follow up of correct checklists during overhauling and start up can eliminate/ identify such mistakes.

Dans 2021 Virtual Scientific Meeting of the Research Society on Marijuana. Research Society on Marijuana, 2022. http://dx.doi.org/10.26828/cannabis.2022.01.000.53.

Résumé :
Background: Driving under the influence of cannabis (DUIC) almost doubles car crash risk (odds ratios range: 1.28-2.49). Known DUIC correlates include male gender, low perceived danger of DUIC, and greater frequency of cannabis and other drug use. Less is known about the role of executive cognitive functioning (e.g., skills in planning, organization) as a correlate of DUIC. Deficits in executive cognitive functioning could precede, and be exacerbated by heavy cannabis use, potentially contributing to DUIC risk. Objectives: This cross-sectional survey study used a person-centered analysis (latent profile analysis) to (1) identify prototypical profiles representing aspects of executive functioning and substance use in young adults, and (2) determine which profiles were associated with self-report of DUIC. We hypothesized that at least two profiles would be identified: mainly or only cannabis use vs polysubstance use. We also predicted that the polysubstance use profile would be associated with worse executive functioning and self-report of DUIC. Method: Young adults (N=69; ages 18-25; mean age=20.0 [SD=1.9]; 62.3% female; 75.4% White, 13.0% Black, 11.6% Other race/ethnicity) who reported weekly cannabis use were recruited from the community in Pittsburgh, PA to participate in a study of cannabis effects on cognition. Baseline collected demographics, self-reported age of cannabis use onset (age <16 vs age >16), NIDA modified ASSIST, Marijuana Withdrawal Checklist, Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT), Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Functioning (BRIEF) (working memory, organization/planning scales), and Marijuana Consequences Questionnaire (item on “driven a car when high” in past 6 months). Latent profile analysis (LatentGold 5.1) was used to identify distinct classes, testing the fit of 1-5 classes. Each model included 10 indicators: age of cannabis use onset, frequency of cannabis and tobacco use, cannabis withdrawal severity, ASSIST scores for cannabis, cocaine and hallucinogens (the substances most often reported), AUDIT score, and BRIEF working memory, and organization/planning scores. For the best fitting model, covariates (i.e., self-report of DUIC, age, gender) were examined as profile correlates in a separate, final step. Results: A model with 3 latent profiles was selected (see Figure). The profiles represented “Polysubstance Use” (40.8%), “Primary Cannabis” (22.3%), and “Later Onset Cannabis” (36.9%). Polysubstance use profile reported more cannabis-related problems and other drug use, and more problems with executive functioning than the other profiles (p<.05). Later Onset (vs Polysubstance Use) profile had older onset age (p<.05), and had the lowest level of cannabis involvement. Primary Cannabis and Later Onset profiles did not differ in report of problems with executive functioning. DUIC in the past 6 months (reported by 50.7% of the total sample) was more likely to be reported by Polysubstance use than Later Onset profile (p<.01). Polysubstance use profile was younger than Primary Cannabis profile (p<.05). The profiles did not differ by gender. Conclusions: As hypothesized, Polysubstance Use profile (which reported early cannabis use onset; and worse executive functioning, including problems with memory, planning/ organization) was associated with self-report of DUIC. Results highlight the role of self-reported executive functioning difficulties in DUIC risk, and the importance of targeting polysubstance use in preventing DUIC.
