Résumé :
Abstract Richelia is a widespread, heterocystous, N2-fixing cyanobacterium that occurs in oligotrophic seas. It can be symbiotic within rhizosolenoid hosts, including Rhizosolenia (R-R) and Guinardia (G-R), and occasionally occurs as free-living (FL-R) filaments. We investigated the Richelia abundances in the South China (SCS) and Philippine Seas (PS) during the northeast (NEM) and southwest monsoon (SWM) seasons between 2001 and 2016. Field results showed that G-R was most abundant in the SCS during the SWM. Both R-R and FL-R were more abundant in the PS than the SCS and during the SWM versus the NEM. In general, R-R were more abundant than G-R, except at the SCS-SWM stations where abundances were comparable. Multivariate statistical models indicate that as R-R and G-R were abundant in warmer seawaters, nitrate plus nitrite was a key factor negatively controlling R-R abundance while silicate was more positively related to G-R. Positive correlation between G-R and FL-R abundances and microscopic observations imply that like Rhizosolenia-associated Richelia, filaments released from Guinardia hosts can remain viable outside their diatom hosts for time periods on the order of days. Overall, results reveal different distribution patterns between the two rhizosolenoid-Richelia symbioses and both G-R and R-R likely contribute to FL-R in the field.

Résumé :
Symbiotic diatom-diazotrophic cyanobacteria association (DDA) of Rhizosolenia hebetata and Rhizosolenia formosa with endosymbiotic cyanobacteria Richelia intracellularis was noticed and documented for the first time during a bloom of the cyanobacterium Trichodesmium erythraeum in the oligotrophic shelf waters along Kochi and Mangalore transects, southeastern Arabian Sea (SEAS), during spring intermonsoon (April 2012). Although the host is frequently seen, the symbiont is rarely reported in the Indian EEZ. The presence of nitrogen-fixing symbiotic association of Rhizosolenia-Richelia along with Trichodesmium erythraeum highlights the significance of DDAs on the nutrient and energy budgets of phytoplankton in the oligotrophic environments of the Arabian Sea during spring intermonsoon.

In the last decades of the 19th century, Jean Richepin was both a writer and a journalist. His fame quickly spread beyond the literary world. Surrounded by a legend that grew around him during his lifetime, the figure of the writer has often served as a foil for his work. Today, this same legend makes it difficult to understand the writer's trajectory within the literary field. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the trajectory of Jean Richepin within the literary field during his period of activity (1865-1926), by taking a critical look at the media representations of the writer's character. Furthermore, this work aims to retrace Jean Richepin's journey in order to identify the key stages and question the blind spots in his literary production

The aim of this study was to describe the morphology and biometric aspects of the fruit and seed, the morphofunctional characteristics and development of the seedling, and to obtain the classification the storage capacity of the seeds of Richeria grandis Vahl. It was also verified the influence of different compositions of substrates and levels of solar reduction under the emergence of seedlings and growth of seedlings via sexual propagation and the viability of the technique of minicache in the asexual propagation of R. grandis, submitted to different concentrations of the regulator of indolebutyric acid (IBA) growth. Seed collection occurred in 18 matrix trees established in flooded Forest Mills located in Biribiri State Park, Diamantina, MG, and all experiments were conducted in Forest Nursery and Seed Laboratory belonging to the Integrated Center for the Propagation of Forest Species ( CIPEF-UFVJM). The morphological and biometric characterization of fruits and seeds was by naked eye observations and measurements using a universal caliper. In order to observe the physiological behavior, freshly harvested seeds of this species were stored in paper bags in the open air and germinated and tested (%) periodically. The morphofunctional characteristics were observed in the laboratory and in the greenhouse by means of a developmental process (from root protrusion, emergence until the first protophyte). Three compositions of substrates and three levels of shading were used to test the effect of these combinations on the quality of R. grandis young seedlings. The height, collection diameter, number of leaves , total chlorophyll and dry biomass. Finally, the base of apical cuttings from young saplings rescued in the natural environment of R. grandis, were emerged in four concentrations of IBA and evaluated at 90 days, measuring the increase in height and diameter, survival (%), rooting (% ), calogenia (%) and sprouts (%). It should be noted that for all experiments, the basic principles of experimentation (repetition, randomization and local control) were met using different experimental designs. Different tools for statistical analysis were also used to aid in decision making. The fruit of R. grandis is simple, dry, capsule type, dehiscent, with an average length of 16.24 mm and an average width of 8.57 mm. The seed is ellipsoid with presence of sarcotesta, presenting an average length of 7.40 mm and an average width of 4.57 mm. R. grandis presents recalcitrant seeds, the emergence is of the Fanero-epigene-foliaceous type, and the development process for the seed becomes a complete seedling delonged for at least 50 days. The substrates composed of different proportions of vermiculite, rice husk and Bioplant ?, associated with shading 30 and 50% were responsible for promoting R. grandis seedlings of better quality. The technique of vegetative propagation by minicutting is feasible, since there was a 100% survival and a high percentage of rooting even for the treatment without addition of AIB.

The biological nitrogen fixation adds new nitrogen into the biogeochemical cycle. This process is attributed to diazothrophic cyanobacteria, which are known to occur in environments with nitrogen limitation. Although the São Sebastião Channel (CSS) is a meso-oligothrophic environment, local rain can affect nutrients concentrations, hence the occurrence of diazothrophic species. This work addressed how the increase in the precipitation rate alters the occurrence and co-existence of diazothrophic cyanobacteria in nine scenarios in the CSS and Araçá Bay (BA). The diazothrophic species Trichodesmium spp. and Richelia intracellularis occurred after an increase in rainfall, co-occurring in 7 of the 9 scenarios. Richelia intracellularis was always associated symbiotically with Hemiaulus diatoms, specially H. membranaceus. The occurrence of diazothrophic species was highly correlated to intense SW winds, suggesting the allochthonous input of cells in the CSS. The diazothrophic species occurrence was also associated with variations in temperature and phosphate concentration. The abundance of both diazothrophic species and phytoplankton community were higher in the BA in every scenario. The nutrients and chlorophyll-a concentrations were higher in the BA, highlighting the importance of water transport between BA and CSS.

ABSTRACT Seedling production via rescue of seedlings is an understudied and very promising technique, mainly due to the maintenance of biological and genetic diversity of existing communities in the ecosystem. In this study we assessed the survival and growth of seedlings of species Richeria grandis, Tapirira guianensis, Eremanthus crotonoides and Protium heptaphyllum obtained via redemption in areas intended for removal of vegetation in remnants of Atlantic Forest. The experiment was carried out in a completely randomized design with 4x4 split plot arrangement. Four levels of shading (full sun, 30, 50 and 70% shade) and four times transplanting (0, 12, 24 and 36 hours) were tested. Were evaluated at 210 days the variables survival, growth (height, diameter, crown ?rea and number of leaves), dry weight and wet weight, and contents of chlorophyll a, b and total. The species E. crotonoide showed higher survival at 50% shading, the remaining species shading was 70% which resulted in higher survival rates. The shading of 70% was generally higher growth and chlorophyll levels for the four species, thus being the most recommended. The transplanting of seedlings of R. grandis can be accomplished within 12 hours, while for T. guianensis, E.crotonoides and P. heptaphyllum the most appropriate is to be realized within 24 hours.

Résumé :
This work comprises two main parts. The first part outlines our efforts to expand on the recent work of Gütlich et.al. by synthesizing Co(II) based spin crossover systems within a dendritic framework. We wanted to investigate the possibility of synthesizing different first generation, triazole containing dendrimers using “click” type reactions and their coordination ability with Co(II) ions. To this end we have had limited success mainly due to the numerous challenges in synthesizing a pure dendrimer product. The second part details our efforts in the synthesis of a mononuclear Co(II) based single molecule magnet. This comes as an extension to recent reports by Chang and Long where they have successfully obtained mononuclear Fe(II) single molecule magnets by inducing structural distortions within the complexes to amplify the spin-orbit coupling. We postulated that the use of Co(II) in conjunction with a bulky ligand framework would lead to desirable magnetic properties. We chose the known bis(imino)pyridine ligand scaffold due to its rich chemistry and its interesting and unexpected coordination behaviour, as we have seen in previous research efforts by our lab. To this end we were successful in isolating and characterizing 4 compounds, and we have carried out detailed magnetic measurements on the two most magnetically interesting species.

Abstract This research investigated the spatial and temporal distributions of Trichodesmium spp. and Richelia intracellularis in the South China Sea. The surveys covered the period from July 2000 to July 2002. A total of eight cruises, including spring, summer and fall were conducted. The sampling stations located between 18~22o N and 115~122 o E , over the continental shelf, the slope, and the basin of the northern South China Sea. Trichodesmium biomass was higher in summer and fall than spring. There was no significant difference in biomass among shelf , slope and basin. The averaged biomass was 69b163 x103 trichomes/m3(0~332x103 trichomes /m3)in the surface water and 355b542x104 trichomes/m2 (50~2455x104 trichomes /m2)for the depth-integration of the upper 80m. Very few was in colonial form. Free trichomes occupied 66.3﹪,52.4﹪and 48.9﹪of the total trichomes on the surface water in spring, summer and fall, respectively. The distribution of Trichodesmium was found significantly related to surface water temperature, depth of nutrient cline and [NO2+NO3] concentration. High abundance occurred at the stations of high temperature, low [NO2+NO3] and deep nutrient cline. There was no seasonal variation, nor regional variation for biomass of Richelia. The averaged density of Richelia was 15b21 x103 trichomes/m3(0~53x103 trichomes /m3)in the surface water and 127b200x104 trichomes/m2 (0~284x104 trichomes /m2)for the depth-integration of the upper 80m. The dominate symbiont diatoms were Hemiaulus spp.. The ratios of Hemiaulus sinensis to the total symbionts were 48.7﹪,49.2﹪in the surface water and the integration of upper 80m, respectively. The distribution of Richelia was significantly related to the depth of nutrient cline and surface [NO2+NO3] concentration. High abundance was at where having low surface [NO2+NO3] and deep nutrient cline. The abundance of Trichodesmium was higher than Richelia. In average, Trichodesmium density in the surface water and depth integration of upper 80m was 4-flod and 3-flod of that of Richelia. The abundance of Trichodesmium and Richelia was significantly related, since they both related to the depth of nutrient cline and surface [NO2+NO3]. The difference in their seasonal distribution was possibly because of the nature of thermophile of Trichodesmium. The depths of maximum biomass for Trichodesmium and Richelia were similer, were both at the upper water column (30b24m and 24b24m for Trichodesmium and Richelia , respectively). However Trichodesmium concentrated on the upper surface water and decreased rapidly at the depth deeper than 37﹪of surface irradiance, Richelia distributed relatively evenly over the whole euphotic zone. The estimated new nitrogen inputs to waters by nitrogen fixation from Trichodesmium and Richelia was at maximum 3.45 mg N/m2/d(Trichodesmium)and 1.08 mg N/m2/d(Richelia), respectively. These quantities were equivalent to 0.7~24﹪of nitrate-base new production that measured in October in South China Sea.

Résumé :
The article studies Ivan Bunin’s translations of the Parnassian poets, mainly Charles Leconte de Lisle. The author analyzes seven poems by Leconte de Lisle translated by Bunin, including a draft autograph of “Eternal Fragrance”, published for the first time, free paraphrase (“Malay Song”) and a quote of his poem in the story “Without a Tribe”. Finally, an attempt is made to attribute the poem “Nightmare”, published likely by Bunin in 1895 as a translation “from French”, without specifying the author of the original. The restoration of French sources and Russian translations used by Bunin makes it possible to clarify the dating of the story “Without a Tribe”, Bunin’s reading circle in the early period of his work and his dialogue, in addition to the poets of the Parnassian school, with Ch. Baudelaire, E. Verhaeren, G. de Maupassant creating a genre of free retelling-rewriting of French sources, conducted, among other things, through the medium of Russian classical writers (M. Lermontov, A. Chekhov). The author concludes that there were three kinds of attitude Bunin as a translator had to the original text: an exact poetic translation, which marks almost all translations of Leconte de Lisle; a free paraphrase “to the tune” in symphony with his own mood (poetic paraphrases of “Confessions of the Son of the Century” by A. de Musset and lyrical poetry by P. Bourget, reminiscences from “Migratory Birds” by J. Richepin in the fairy tale “Holiday”, variations on the theme of “Death of the Sun” by Leconte de Lisle in the story “Without a Tribe”); finally, a free translation “from French” (“Nightmare” as a dialogue with the Parnassians; “Night Blizzard” — with Baudelaire), which is in fact Bunin’s original work, retaining a connection with the poetic school, which seeks to return poetry to the peaks of Parnassus. The Appendix to the article reproduces all the known texts of Bunin’s translations of French poetry with the identification of the most significant variants based on autographs and author’s publications, allowing to understand the peculiarities of the translator’s work.

Résumé :
Successful NOx measurements in the end plane of the primary zone of a small tubular gaseous fuelled combustor of conventional gas turbine design, employing acoustic driving of the combustor via the air inlet pipe, have been made at scaled 1/8 load operating conditions. The acoustic drive caused partial blockage of the combustor primary zone air flow which increased the equivalence ratio in the plane of the NOx measurements. The mixing was acoustically augmented which together with the blockage richening significantly changed the combustor mean NOx-mean equivalence ratio characteristic in the end plane of the combustor primary zone. Under lean-conditions at 1/8 load and “with-drive” at 246 Hz mean NOx was reduced indicating that a value of 10ppm (50% reduction) is possible, confirming previous results. Under rich-conditions NOx “with-drive” at 246 Hz might be reduced by 23%, relative to previous results, and even might reach the “no-drive” value of about 25ppm, which was possibly due to acoustic augmentation of the primary zone aerodynamics. The NOx at the combustor exhaust “with-drive” should be even lower than that measured “with-drive” because of normal dilution. Therefore, the technique has the potential to create a low NOx conventional combustor without requiring the complicated design-changes of current industry efforts.
