Résumé :

Esse artigo trata da trajetória de Mary Rena Humphrey Butler (1861-1954), empresária, missionária e esposa do médico e missionário protestante, George William Butler (1853-1919). O trabalho de Rena foi fundamental para a consolidação protestante no interior pernambucano, um legado inscrito no espaço urbano pela construção de edifícios em Canhotinho-PE. A partir dessa perspectiva, a trajetória de Rena confrontou as representações de gênero que marcam os registros históricos e a memória construída sobre ela. Essa pesquisa complexificou as imagens consagradas pela memória oficial sobre o casal e realocou o papel de Rena Butler como sustentáculo financeiro daquela missão por meio da exportação de orquídeas. Uma trajetória que possibilitou repensar a importância das mulheres e de outras missionárias no processo de consolidação e visibilização do protestantismo no espaço público brasileiro.

Résumé :

Several factors can be used to determine the success of consumer purchase intentions. In this study, the factors that can influence purchase intention are formed from social media marketing, e-commerce, and in-store displays. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of social media marketing, e-WOM, and in-store displays on purchase intention of skincare products (study on consumers of Rena beauty store-Tuban). This research is quantitative. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with judgmental methods. The sample used was 100 people. The respondent in this study has seen the contents of Tiktok owned by Rena beauty store and has never purchased skincare products at Rena beauty store, with an age range of 17-35 years. The measurement scale uses the Likert scale. The measurement method used is a questionnaire, data analysis using multiple linear regression equation models. The data is processed using SPSS version 26. The results of this study indicate that social media marketing has a significant effect on the intention to buy skincare products for consumers in Rena beauty store-Tuban; meanwhile, e-WOM has no significant effect on the intention to buy skincare products for consumers because beauty store-Tuban, the in-store display also does not affect. Significantly on the intention to buy skincare products to consumers of Rena beauty store-Tuban.

Talaga Rena Mahawijaya dan Bukit Badigul yang dibangun oleh Sribaduga Maharaja pada abad ke-16, merupakan danau buatan yang diperuntukkan sebagai tempat upacara srada. Namun jika dilihat dari sudut pandang yang berbeda, danau buatan ini memiliki banyak fungsi yang dampak positifnya sangat besar terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat. Untuk meneliti dan mengkaji permasalahan ini harus ditinjau secara mendalam dan memerlukan analisis yang kuat, maka metode sejarah yang terdiri atas heuristik, kritik, interpretasi dan historiografi akan digunakan oleh penulis. Selain metode sejarah, teori-teori dan konsep ilmu-ilmu keteknikan akan digunakan pula sebagai pisau analisis, agar menghasilkan simpulan yang cukup kuat dan mendalam. Penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh penulis, Talaga Rena Mahawijaya mempunyai fungsi utama sebagai area tangkapan air, yang kita kenal sebagai waduk atau embung, yaitu sebuah danau yang sengaja dibuat untuk memecah volume aliran air yang sangat besar, juga berfungsi sebagai cadangan air ketika musim kemarau. Simpulannya, Sribaduga Maharaja membuat Talaga Rena Mahawijaya untuk fungsi water catchment, water treatment, dan water supply. Talaga Rena Mahawijaya and Bukit Badigul built by Sribaduga Maharaja in the 16th century, are artificial lakes designated as srada ceremonies. But when viewed from a different perspective, this artificial lake has many functions that have a very large positive impact on people's welfare. To investigate and examine these problems, the in depth and strong analysis is required. Thus, the historical method consisting of heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography are used by the author. In addition to historical methods, theories and concepts of engineering sciences are also used as analytical tools in order to produce the strong and deep conclusions. From this research, Talaga Rena Mahawijaya has a main function as a water catchment area, known as a reservoir or embung. It is a lake intentionally made to break down a very large volume of water, also serves as a water reserve during the dry season. In conclusion, Sribaduga Maharaja made Talaga Rena Mahawijaya as the water catchment, water treatment, and water supply.

Résumé :

The community service at SLB-C Dharma Rena Ring Putra II aims to improve students' understanding of mathematics, especially in the subject of mixed arithmetic operations using the MUTU (Mudah Berhitung) application. In their daily life, mentally retarded students at SLB-C Dharma Rena Ring Putra II are quite difficult in participating in mathematics learning, because they only rely on textbooks, so students cannot focus and the learning process is less than optimal. The service method is carried out in 3 stages, pretest-assistance-posttest. Comparison of pretest and posttest scores showed an increase in the average ability of students in understanding the material and solving mixed arithmetic operations, from 38 to 79. The results were used as a reference for mentally retarded students to improve their understanding of mixed arithmetic operations and become a reference for learning media for teachers at SLB-C Dharma Rena Ring Putra II.

Abstract The value of rehabilitating oiled wildlife is an on-going global debate. On October 5, 2011, the cargo vessel C/V Rena grounded on Astrolabe Reef, New Zealand (NZ), spilling over 300 tonnes of heavy fuel oil. As part of the Rena oil spill response, 383 little blue penguins (LBP, Eudyptula minor) were captured, cleaned, rehabilitated and released back into a cleaned environment. Over the last four years, since the C/V Rena spill, we have undertaken survival, diving behaviour, diet and stress hormone response research on these and non-rehabilitated LBPs from the spill area to assess the success of the rehabilitation process, determine what lessons could still be learnt and to help determine if the environment has returned back to its natural state. Findings from this research showed that the survival was reduced for both rehabilitated and non-rehabilitated groups in the first six months following the spill and clean-up process however, the survival probabilities of both groups increased thereafter and remained high and stable over a two year period directly after the spill. The foraging behaviour and diet studies showed there were no foraging behaviour differences between rehabilitated and non-rehabilitated LBPs and the overall diving behaviour of these LBPs were similar, if not less energetic, than other LBPs in NZ, indicating that the environment appeared to have also returned to pre-oiling state. Concurrently, the stress hormone response study showed no differences between groups, suggesting the rehabilitation process for LBP did not affect their long term physiological responses to humans, meaning no habituation or excessively stress caused by humans over the long term. Together these results suggest the rehabilitation process and clean-up undertaken after the C/V Rena appears effective and helps validate the rehabilitation of oiled wildlife.

Juan Rena fue un clérigo veneciano que acaparó una gran cantidad de cargos y prebendas gracias al servicio prestado al emperador Carlos V. Participó en conflictos y negociaciones de gran relieve político y viajó constantemente. Además, destacó por sus actividades mercantiles y financieras, pero también por la reorganización administrativa del reino de Navarra tras su conquista en 1512. Gracias a su archivo personal, se ha podido recoger un abanico importante de consejos que recibió de diferentes médicos dispersos por la geografía europea, ya fuera personalmente o a través de correspondencia mantenida con ellos. En el presente trabajo analizamos estos consejos y, en definitiva, las diferentes estrategias seguidas por Juan Rena, para atender las enfermedades que le aquejaron.

Introdução: A COVID-19 é doença multissistêmica que pode acometer o sistema renal, implicando em piores desfechos. Objetivo: Analisar a prevalência de insuficiência rena aguda (IRA) em pacientes com COVID-19. Método: Estudo transversal para analisar a relação da doença com sexo, idade, comorbidades, comparando com grupo controle. Resultados: Foram analisados prontuários de pacientes internados por SARS-CoV-2, divididos em sem lesão renal e com lesão renal – com e sem hemodiálise. Cerca de 15% desenvolveu (IRA) como complicação, sendo 9,5% com hemodiálise. Tempo de internamento e ventilação mecânica, taxas de acometimento pulmonar, necessidade de UTI, valores de ureia e creatinina foram piores nos pacientes com IRA, além de que a mortalidade foi maior no grupo com IRA e hemodiálise (86%). A prevalência de IRA nos pacientes com COVID-19 foi maior nos acima de 50 anos, nos homens e nos portadores de hipertensão arterial. Conclusão: Os pacientes com IRA tiveram piores desfechos e maior número de complicações.

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu unutk menganalisis proses implementasi asesmen yang diterapkan untuk anak tunagrahita, menemukan pola perkembangan anak tunagrahita, serta mencari problematika pelaksanaan asesmen di TK LB C1 Dharma Rena Ring Putra. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan dengan langkah mereduksi data, menyajikan data serta menyimpulkan data. Pemerikasan keabsahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan proses pelaksanaan asesmen di TK LB C 1 Drama Rena Ringputra I Yogyakarta dialkukan dengan dua cara yaitu: Pertama, Asesmen perkembangan anak disabilitas, pelaksanan dimulai dengan asesmen prasekolah yang bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan kemampuan serta hambatan pada anak sebelum masuk sekolah, kemudia dilanjutkan asemen pasca sekolah, sebagai tindak lanjut sesmen pasca sekolah yang bertujuan mengembangkan kemampuan anak dengan mengacu tahapan perkembangan anak disabilitas atau TPPAD (Tingkat Pencapaian Perkembangan Anak Disabilitas). Kedua, Asesmen perkembangan anak tunagrahita dari sudut kenormal, pelaksanan asesmen anak disabilitas dari kenormal dimulai dengan pengamatan setiap hari, pencatatan harian, menganalisa data setiap bulan dan rekap perkembangan selama semester dengan mengacu pada STPPA (Setandar tingkat pencapaian perkembangan anak). Pola perkembangan anak tunagrahrita selalu berkembang berpasang-pasangan, aspek kognitif selalu berpasangan dengan aspek motorik, aspek sosial emosional berpasangan dengan nilai moral agama sedangakan aspek perkembangan bahasa dan seni selalu mengiringi aspek-aspek tersebut. Abstract The purpose of this study is to analyze the assessment implementation process applied to mentally retarded children, find patterns of development of mentally retarded children, and look for problems in carrying out assessments at TK LB C1 Dharma Rena Ring Putra. This research is a qualitative research with location in SLB C-1 Dharma Rena Ring Putra I Yogyakarta. Data collection is done by observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis is done by reducing, presenting and concluding data. Data validity is done by using technique triangulation. The results showed the process of conducting the assessment in TK LB C 1 Drama Rena Ringputra I Yogyakarta was conducted in two ways: disabled child development assessment, the implementation begins with a preschool assessment that aims to describe the ability and barriers to the children before entering school, then continued assessment of post-school, as a follow-up post-school assessment that aims to develop and maximize the ability of children by referring to the development stage of children with disability or commonly called TPPAD (Level Achievement of Children Development Disability). Second, the assessment of the development of the intellectual disability children from the normal point, the implementation of the child's assessment of disability from the normality begins with daily observation, daily recording, analyzing data every month and recap the progress during the semester. The process of implementing the child's assessment of intellectual disability from the angle of normality refers to STPPA (Standard level of child development achievement).. Pattern development of intellectual disability children always develop in pairs, cognitive aspect always pairs with motor aspect, emotional social aspect paired with religion moral value while the aspect of language development and art always accompany those aspects. Problematic implementation of the assessment is the absence of assessment standards and appraisal books for intellectual disability children. This article deals with the autobiography Livsdrömmen rena (1982; The Clear Dream of Life), written by the Finland-Swedish author Christer Kihlman. It is his second so-called South America book and is based on the writer’s own experiences from the early 1980s, when he visited several South American countries. The text is seen in a theoretical-methodological frame of postcolonial studies, i.e. the 1978 book Orientalism by Edward W. Said, which describes, how “the Orient”, Oriental people and nations were viewed by their western colonizers. The analysis, which also takes into account Latin American postcolonial specificities, follows the article author’s already performed interpretation of Kihlman’s first South America book, Alla mina söner (1980; translated as All My Sons, 1984).

Threadsnakes of the tribe Epictini are endemic to the New World, occurring from the United States to Argentina, mostly in the Neotropical region. Currently, the taxonomic status of most species is unclear and there has been no previous attempt of a comprehensive taxonomic revision of Neotropical taxa. Taxonomy of the group is a difficult task due to the paucity of geographic samples, general homogeneous morphology and brevity of species descriptions. Therefore, the only way to address the taxonomic status of existing names is through detailed characterization of the types and the search for additional material of the poorly known species. In this study, we evaluated the taxonomic status of the Colombian threadsnakes and report on geographical variation of meristic, morphometric, colour pattern, and hemipenis characters. On the basis of available samples we recognize the following species in Colombia: Epictia goudotii, E. magnamaculata, E. signata, Rena nicefori, Tricheilostoma brevissimum, T. dugandi, T. joshuai and T. macrolepis. We discuss the systematic position of Rena nicefori and propose its allocation in the genus Tricheilostoma based on a unique combination of morphological characters. Furthermore, we provide a key to the representatives of the tribe Epictini in Colombia.

ABSTRACT Vertebral hemangiomas are the most common benign tumors of the spine and usually present as cold defects on skeletal scintigraphy. However, these lesions may rarely show uptake of Tc-99m methylene diphosphonate, mimicking metastases. In this patient with renal carcinoma, abnormal vertebral tracer uptake (indicative of skeletal metastases on planar bone scintigraphy) was subsequently localized to vertebral lesions identified as hemangiomas on the CT component of single photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography (SPECT/CT). None of these hemangiomas showed any uptake of F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose on positron emission tomography/ computed tomography (PET/CT). El objetivo del estudio fue conocer la relación de las variables biológicas, psicológicas y sociodemográficas con la incidencia de factores de riesgo para Enfermedad Renal Crónica (ERC) en estudiantes universitarios. El muestreo fue no probabilístico, participaron estudiantes universitarios mexicanos N=200, con un rango de edad de 18 a 25 años (Ẋ= 19.97, D.E.= 1.73). Se trató de un estudio no experimental transversal. Se recopilaron datos mediante pruebas de laboratorio de sangre y orina para determinar la Tasa de Filtrado Glomerular (TFG) mediante la fórmula CKD-EPI, un Cuestionario de Frecuencia de Consumo de Alimentos (CFCA), un Auto-registro de Consumo de Agua Simple, el instrumento SISCO de Estrés Académico, el Inventario de Ansiedad de Beck (BAI) y se registraron datos sociodemográficos. Los resultados se analizaron utilizando estadística descriptiva y correlación de Pearson. El estudio generó información de importancia, para ser considerada en la implementación de programas de intervención en promoción de la salud y prevención de ERC desde las primeras etapas de vida.

This article argues that Rena Owen’s star persona has been constrained, and ultimately undermined, by essentialist definitions of her status as Māori on the part of print media, in particular women’s magazines, in response to her role as Beth in Once Were Warriors (Lee Tamahori, 1994), a role that thrust her into the international limelight. These ancillary texts served to emphasise two stereotypes, positioning her either in relation to the traditional Pacific Island female type of the ‘dusky maiden’ or focusing on her criminal past and current scandalous behaviour. These representations of the actress detracted from her considerable talents and were undoubtedly a factor in determining a career trajectory that failed to fulfil its early promise. The scandal mongering of the tabloids expressed the uneasiness with which Aotearoa/New Zealand viewed public personalities that embraced a cultural past that included both Māori and European identities. Unlike the international press, which compared Owen’s performance to that of a range of film stars noted for their dramatic and charismatic capacities and presence, from Bette Davis to Anna Magnani, the New Zealand press portrayed her as ‘Beth’—as a social victim rather than an accomplished thespian.

Résumé :

Florence Rena Sabin received her MD from the Johns Hopkins University in 1900. She was one of the first women to become a medical intern at Johns Hopkins and worked for the year of her internship (1900–01) under William Osler. At Johns Hopkins from y>1902 to 1925, Sabin studied embryology and histology with mentor Franklin Mall. She became the first woman professor of histology at an American school. Recruited to the Rockefeller Institute (1925), she focused on tuberculosis immunology, tubercle-bacillus biochemistry and haematology. She was the first woman department head at the Rockefeller and, in 1925, the first woman elected to the National Academy of Sciences. Settling in Colorado in 1938, she entered public health, emphasizing tuberculosis control. She received the Trudeau Award in 1945 and the Lasker Award in 1951. Her experience with tuberculosis under Osler's tutelage defined the shape of her work in basic tuberculosis research and in public health.

Physiol. 83(1): 95–101, 1997.—Previous studies in several strains of rats have demonstrated that 35 consecutive days of recurrent episodic hypoxia (7 h/day) cause an 8- to 13-mmHg persistent increase in diurnal systemic blood pressure (BP). Carotid chemoreceptors and the sympathetic nervous system have been shown to be necessary for development of this BP increase. The present study was undertaken to further define the role of renal artery sympathetic nerves and the adrenal medulla in this BP increase. Male Sprague-Dawley rats had either adrenal medullectomy, bilateral renal artery denervation, or sham surgery. Rats from each of these groups were subjected to episodic hypoxia for 35 days. Control groups received either compressed air or were left unhandled. Adrenal demedullation or renal artery denervation eliminated the chronic diurnal mean BP response (measured intra-arterially) to episodic hypoxia, whereas sham-operated controls continued to showed persistent elevation of systemic BP. Plasma and renal tissue catecholamine levels at the end of the experiment confirmed successful adrenal demedullation or renal denervation in the respective animals. The chronic episodic hypoxia-mediated increase in diurnal BP requires both intact renal artery nerves as well as an intact adrenal medulla.

We report on the morphological variation (meristic, morphometric, pholidosis, and color pattern characters) and sexual dimorphism of Trilepida macrolepis. We also took the opportunity to redescribe the holotype of Rena affinis in an effort to evaluate its taxonomic status. Based on the congruence of characters from external morphology, we transfer Stenostoma affine to the genus Trilepida. We also discuss the Andean specimens previously refereed to Trilepida affinis and Trilepida macrolepis and provide an identification key for the genus Trilepida.

En lo que sigue, continuaremos adentrándonos en el territorio de lo corpóreo ?ya explorado pero aún inexorable— con la ayuda de Jean-Luc Nancy. Y, finalmente, buscaremos conexiones con el territorio del signo, estudiado por Umberto Eco y por Erika Fischer-Lichte, en su caso, en directa aplicación al campo de la realización escénica.Is there a physical language that subsumes the verbal language? To bring this question up, in all its amplitude, firstly, we will detain in the observation of the body as an artistic object and subject after three pieces carried out by the performer Bruce Nauman, the actress Rena Mirecka and the dancer Yvonne Rainer, respectively.
