This article describes the results of the analysis of correlation between the soil electrical conductivity and BPEJ (valued soil-ecological units). The measurements were made in 2006 at the School Agribusiness Land Farm in Lány established by the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague. The soil electrical conductivity (EC) was measured by the contact method using a sensor with six electrodes. The soil EC data measured were compared with the data obtained from BPEJ maps. The aim was to verify if any relationship exists between the soil EC and BPEJ. The results achieved show that the same dependency exists between the values of the main soil unit of the BPEJ code and the soil EC. The results achieved can be used in the precise agriculture system to improve the decision process.

Résumé :
Akhism, highly influential in Islamic and Anatolian societies between 13th and 19th centuries is a professional, commercial, economic, cultural, social, moral and educational organization whose influence in this process exceeds the boundaries of time and space. It consists of highly moral and well-behaved people, each of its members interacting with each other, providing both material and spiritual guidance to its members, and aiming at the perfect human being. On the basis of its acceptance and strong influence for ages the role of its construction with a spirit and understanding inspired by Islamic sources is very great. It is very important scientifically in terms of dealing with Akhism in a way that sheds light on the present, to make sense of it by examining it, evaluate it, and to benefit from the results of a successful experience in the past. Considering that education is an activity of introducing ideal cultural elements to future generations, the introduction of institutions that affect the culture of society in history to today's people is also among the duties of education. In Akhism, educational values, both verbal and behavioral, have been inherited from the past to the present within the framework of the master-assistant master relationship. The aim of this study is to determine the prominent values in Akhism and to reveal the importance of advice value. In this context, the values in the Akhi organization and the value of “advice”, which stands out from these values, were investigated. At the same time, the role of the concept of advice in adding value to individuals and societies has been tried to be determined, although its value has weakened today. The study has been designed with a qualitative research design and the main Islamic sources have been examined in accordance with the document analysis method in the research. Based on the richness of meaning of the concept of advice, the aspect of advice that educates a person, guides, shapes life and makes it valuable and how it builds a lifestyle has been examined. In this study, according to the 5N+ 2K (What, why, where, how, when and who, to whom) technique, the use of advice and teaching methods in the Akhism have been tried to be determined. It is assessed that the results obtained from the richness of meaning of the advice, which has been determined to have an important place in theA khism, will shed light on today's educators and values education. Résumé :
Marketing strategy represents a key element of success for organizations. Executing an effective marketing strategy is just as important as conceptualizing and creating it. Through marketing strategy implementation firms employ scarce resources through marketing capabilities in order to attain the set goals and targets. In order to illustrate the value of marketing strategy and the process of implementation a detailed literature review was performed. A total of (Number of Studies Depending On the References Count, After Employee Deletion) studies on the topic of marketing strategy have been examined. The meta-analysis uncovers two distinct but related features to marketing strategy content: marketing strategy decisions and marketing strategy decision implementation. The literature also suggests there is a relationship of marketing strategy, and marketing mix elements on organizational performance, and emphasizes a further need to perform conceptual and empirical studies. The originality and value of the review lies in the fact that marketing strategy has been analyzed both in terms of its outcomes and as a process that does not yield satisfactory results without effective implementation.

Résumé :
The objective of the work was to analyse the prevailing activation process of the Localized Agri-food System (LAS) by using social networks as a tool to value the pre-existing social capital. There were 27 producers of “Chiapas Cream Cheese” and the members of the formal cheese maker organization from the state of Chiapas, Mexico that were interviewed. By the means of cluster analysis and the graphic design of friendship, the kinship, the “compadrazgo” knowledge, the collaboration and cooperation networks, we concluded that the structural activation must transcend the formal creation of an organization. It is best to value and then mobilize the pre-existing social capital in a territory with a specific traditional know-how as a foundation to the structure and activation process of the LAS. Four actors were identified for their active participation in all analysed networks; these were the information diffusers and network structures. Weak links in the cheese maker organization favour the innovation adoption; whereas the strong links maintain the know-how.

Résumé :
The completion process in oil and gas production is one of the most important steps and affects to the final result of the entire process. In actual conditions, many things must be considered in the completion process. One of the most important things is about tubing movement. Tubing movement is the movement of tubing caused by differences in pressure and temperature in the well. Tubing movement can cause deformation of the tubing structure, and if the selection of tubing and packer is not appropriate, it can cause damage to the tubing or well structure. Calculating tubing movement can be done by calculating the total movement and force generated by this four tubing movement effects, which is: temperature effect, ballooning effect, buckling effect, and piston effect. The case study analyzed in this proposal is horizontal well X, and has a total tubing movement of 13,48 in elongation, or produces a force of 47.864,36 lbs. Because the value is positive, the force that applies is the compression force. By knowing the total force and displacement generated by the tubing movement, the engineer can design what type of packer will be used. For the case study in this report, it can be concluded that a force of 47.864,36 lbs can still be resisted by tubing which has a body yield strength specification of 361.000 lbs. Therefore, the tubing can be design to use a no slip packer where there is no movement between the tubing and the packer.

Résumé :
Abstract. The following research focuses on universal value analyses and lingvocultural analysis. It primarily focuses on the innovation, in that the concept of linguistic analysis has been combined with the concept of text. Furthermore, this method raises the work's theoretical level. These values therefore have an impact on how citizens are motivated to act as citizens and how their acts as global citizens are validated. Values serve as social action regulators. According to some researchers, education tends to lead to emancipation. "Universal value" refers to uncritically copying the value system of another country, supporting so-called "western" "freedom, democracy, equality, and human rights," among other ideals, while ignoring the originality and specificity of their own growth. It promotes itself as the universal ideals of human society, then goes on to criticize China's contemporary political structure. It is directly intended at promoting a political discourse and system with a strong stamp of western institutions, which is wrapped in academic language and transmitted through academic discourse. Universal values are supra-individual regulators of activity in society. Their image is a composite representation of certain values, which are reflected in the scientific public consciousness and the public consciousness of ordinary speakers of the national language and culture. Being a powerful personal resource, values also act as a basis linking the individual and society. Values perform a socializing function, because they are reproduced in the cultural structures of society, determine the consciousness of generations. This research is based on the idea that the real reality perceived by a person in the process of objective activity is reflected in the consciousness of an individual in the form of temporal, spatial and causal connections of phenomena and objects. In this regard, the model of linguistic consciousness can be represented by a certain set of associations, with the help of which a carrier of a certain culture acquires an idea of a fragment of the image of the world. Introduction. Both inside schooling and throughout society, education promotes, amplifies, and transmits values. Individuals will operate within society as a result of their values motivating them to take acts that they consider worthwhile. Individuals' actions may be influenced by society's emphasis on values, which may be influenced by social pressure to comply or social affirmation of good ideals. Research methods. The translation of values, the meaning of valus, the essence of the concept, the excessive length, complex phrases are inconvenient, with an excessive number of English values. Results and discussions. It is very important for a lingvoculture to work with a specialist in the field from the beginning to the end of the translation development process. There are good reasons for this. Bilingual dictionaries are more practical than textual content. For dictionaries of practical translation, the functional value of the term is important, that is, the user must be able to use the dictionary in order to understand a certain value in the correct context, understand it from a communicative point of view and understand it herself. Conclusion. In terms of idea, language and its intended use are extremely crucial to examine in the context of mass media. For the time being, any of us must be active in the process of communication.

Résumé :
AbstractIn this paper, we are concerned with the analysis of heavy-tailed data when a portion of the extreme values is unavailable. This research was motivated by an analysis of the degree distributions in a large social network. The degree distributions of such networks tend to have power law behavior in the tails. We focus on the Hill estimator, which plays a starring role in heavy-tailed modeling. The Hill estimator for these data exhibited a smooth and increasing “sample path” as a function of the number of upper order statistics used in constructing the estimator. This behavior became more apparent as we artificially removed more of the upper order statistics. Building on this observation we introduce a new version of the Hill estimator. It is a function of the number of the upper order statistics used in the estimation, but also depends on the number of unavailable extreme values. We establish functional convergence of the normalized Hill estimator to a Gaussian process. An estimation procedure is developed based on the limit theory to estimate the number of missing extremes and extreme value parameters including the tail index and the bias of Hill's estimator. We illustrate how this approach works in both simulations and real data examples.

Résumé :
Target value design (TVD) is a management approach that applies target costing in the design and construction industry. TVD enables a project environment with favorable characteristics to generate value. However, because the TVD’s primary assessment is cost, target cost can be met without necessarily achieving the project’s full value. This research applies the action research approach to implement TVD in a housing project and explores the value generation of the project using a value analysis model (VAM) to study the balance between cost and value fulfillment in the product and design process. According to the results, even though the target cost was achieved, the desired value of the project was not achieved during the project design. However, there is a tendency to increase value over time to a greater extent in the product and not so much in the process. The main contributions of this study are the possibility of comparing cost and value, identifying the emphasis of product over process and cost over value throughout the TVD project. This study enhances the literature on project value generation and maximization, offering new knowledge for a better understanding of how to conduct a value analysis in combination with costing in TVD projects.

AbstractWe study some functionals associated with a process driven by a fractional boundary value problem (FBVP for short). By FBVP we mean a Cauchy problem with boundary condition written in terms of a fractional equation, that is an equation involving time-fractional derivative in the sense of Caputo. We focus on lifetimes and additive functionals characterizing the boundary conditions. We show that the corresponding additive functionals are related to the fractional telegraph equations. Moreover, the fractional order of the derivative gives a unified condition including the elastic and the sticky cases among the others.

Résumé :
The architecture, engineering, and construction industry requires methods that link the capture of customer requirements with the continuous measurement of the value generated and the identification of value losses in the design process. A value analysis model (VAM) is proposed to measure the value creation expected by customers and to identify value losses through indexes. As points of reference, the model takes the Kano model and target costing, which is used in the building project design process. The VAM was developed under the design science research methodology, which focuses on solving practical problems by producing outputs by iteration. The resulting VAM allowed the measurement and analysis of value through desired, potential, and generated value indexes, value loss identification, and percentages of value fulfillment concerning the design stage. The VAM permits the comparison of different projects, visualization of the evolution of value generation, and identification of value losses to be eradicated. The VAM encourages constant feedback and has potential to deliver higher value, as it enables the determination of parameters that add value for different stakeholders and informs designers where to direct resources and efforts to enhance vital variables and not trivial variables.

Résumé :
The purpose of this article is fourfold. The first is to get practitioners and academics understand the value of a value destruction focus. How can it improve value creation? This is a brand new area that has not hitherto received much attention. The second is to get practitioners to use this thinking more actively in building their strategy, operational thinking, compliance thought process and regulatory and political (environmental and external) thinking. The third is to open up a new area of research for academics who work on various subjects where value creation is a goal or is important. Perhaps they can analyse past failures and come up with recipes for greater value creation and a process for analysis before committing to a path of action or they can find better processes for looking at, designing, developing or monitoring strategy, new products and services, new technologies and new operational thinking. What new tools can be developed to analyse or mitigate value destruction or simply foresee these? This should also open a debate and papers in Journal of Creating Value and perhaps lead to a special issue. What techniques can be used to change managerial mind-sets. Finally and fourth, the aim is to get away from reactive and ‘after-the-fact’ analysis to proactive value creation and reduce value destruction and learn from value destruction potential.

The purpose of this paper is to analyse value creation from the customer's perspective with an aim to learn how value emerges for the customer. The author provides empirical findings on customer value and value creation and adds to the present knowledge on value and value creation. The findings show that value for the customer emerges in a variety of activities related to use and ownership, but that use and ownership are not equivalent to value creation as value does not always emerge. Based on the findings from empirical and theoretical sources, the author concludes that value could be defined as a positive emotional response and it is proposed that market offerings and relations to service providers do not contribute to the customer's process of value creation until a personal meaning has been ascribed to them by the customer.

Résumé :
Purpose – Analyze how complexity influences the implementation of sustainability in complex civil construction projects. Design/methodology/approach – Based on the proposal of indicators due to the composition of the theoretical background of this research, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) multi-criteria method was applied. Thus, the sampling for collection, through a questionnaire, was be limited to engineering professionals working in the Metropolitan Region of Cariri, extreme south of Ceará, more specifically in the cities Crato, Juazeiro do Norte, and Barbalha. Findings – In terms of the complexity of the projects, the research participants pointed out that changes made over time and the financial aspects are variables that considerably hinder the completion of the building. Finally, it was possible to notice that there is a close relationship between the indicators of complexity and sustainability, where the target audience of the research showed a strong tendency to consider the most important economic aspects of the design and execution of civil construction projects. Originality/value – This research contributes to the national literature by combining mathematical tools with practical applications. It encourages managers and academics to develop indicators for building a sustainability classification system for complex projects, according to their specificities. It also explains how the AHP determines the weights for each criterion, proposing a conceptual sustainability index module. Keywords - Sustainability. Civil Construction. Complexity. AHP

Résumé :
The research focuses on the evolution of a certain company's stock price time series. The purpose of this study is to measure and evaluate the growth in Apple Inc. stock prices using a time series approach. Data is provided on a daily basis from January 2020 to July 2022. According to the statistics, Apple stock prices climbed progressively from 2020 to 2022. The most prevalent reason for a spike in stock prices is the introduction of a new product or service to the worldwide market. On the other hand, the cause of the stock price decrease is consumer unhappiness, an excess of demand over supply, or the political atmosphere. The investigation of time series throughout the economic crisis demonstrates that, owing to the firm's development, innovation, and regular introduction of new goods into the market, the company and stock prices were not significantly affected by the crisis. Naturally, there were some market fluctuations, but by the end of 2022, the corporation's stock had reached its highest level in history. During the global epidemic of, time series analysis demonstrates a continual rise in stock prices. Currently, the firm offers an expanding variety of products and creates new services to let us work, study, or enjoy ourselves from the comfort of our own homes during these tough times.

Résumé :
The organizational capability of a firm to create, integrate and maintain cyber versions of complex physical systems known as Digital Twins is a key enabler for joining the 4th Industrial Revolution. This article highlights the business case for firms in the petrochemical process industry to manage digital twins as valuable business assets based on academic and business literature, webcast and live presentations, and the professional experiences of the author. A digital twin maturity model is provided to differentiate how each level of data integration contributes to informing. Three digital twin asset valuation models are introduced to illustrate how digital twins can inform value in different contexts. Findings include how knowledge is generated from digital twins, and how an informing attribute of decision making referred to here as ‘insight value’ can be realized from maintaining digital twins over the full asset lifecycle. Many software applications and tools have become available for firms to adopt this innovative technology; however, integration with the diverse and often siloed systems that serve as data sources have been hampered by inconsistent data governance, data exchange requirements, and interface standards. This article, the first in a series of three, explores on-going efforts to mitigate this problem of practice as interest in application of this innovative technology reaches the tipping point where industry-wide adoption drives greater efficiency and improves decision making throughout the complex facility lifecycle.

Résumé :
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to investigate the firm’s role in the value creation process. In particular, after categorizing the activities that firms carry out to facilitate the creation of value, the “value space,” an actionable framework within which different dimensions of value creation are integrated, is developed and discussed. Design/methodology/approach – The framework is built up on process theory, an in-depth review of the literature and a multiple case study carried out on 65 European firms in the furniture industry. Findings – The value space is both a practical and theoretically based framework which contributes to the development of a more holistic and “actionable” view on the role of firm in the value creation process; also it provides managers with a tool to support the analysis, management and innovation of the value creation process. Originality/value – The systematic categorization of firms’ activities and their subsequent integration into a value creation framework are a missing piece in terms of understanding the value creation process carried out by firms. Also, by facilitating the analysis and innovation of the value creation process, the framework can be used to support both exploitative and explorative business process management.

Résumé :
Purpose The purpose of this study is to develop and test a theoretical framework to examine business purchase decisions using the concept of “values” (personal values (PV), organizational values (OV) and values-congruency). Design/methodology/approach The data for the study were collected from members of the Supply Chain Management Association of Canada. The relationships between perceived PV/OV/ values-congruency (IVs) and perceived role values played in business purchase decisions (DV) were hypothesized. Three factors, namely, humanity, bottomline and convention were identified using exploratory factor analysis. The hypotheses were tested using polynomial regression, which is a preferred method for measuring congruency or fit (Edwards, 1994). Findings Perceived humanity (humaneness or benevolence) values of an organization were found to have a positive relationship with the perceived role that humanity and convention (risk aversion or compliance) values played in business purchase decisions. Perceived purchase function formalization within buying organizations was also found to have a positive relationship with the perceived role of humanity, bottomline and convention values played in business purchase decisions. Research limitations/implications The study drew a relatively small convenience sample from a single industry association/country with a low response rate. It used the perceived role of values instead of behavioral intention or actual behavior to measure business purchasing behavior. McDonald and Gandz’s (1991; 1993) list of values may be more suitable to measure OV than PV. The study only considered the buyer side of purchase decisions and values to have positive characteristics. Practical implications Buying organizations may consider formalizing their purchase functions, clarifying their humaneness/benevolence and risk aversion/compliance values to their employees and vendors and incorporating them in the purchasing criteria/process. Similarly, selling organizations may benefit from considering these values of customers to position their products and services for better sales outcomes and business relationships. Originality/value The study explores the role of values in business purchase contexts by proposing and testing a theoretical framework. The study has implications for practitioners and academics in the field and identifies several areas for future research.

Résumé :
Value Stream Mapping (VSM) is a useful tool for depicting the flow of materials and information in manufacturing and service processes. It is known as one of the most popular lean methods to identify bottlenecks, reduce cycle time, and improve current processes. Although VSM has been extensively used in manufacturing, there are limited studies that applied VSM in non-manufacturing environments. In this study, we present an application of VSM to improve Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process in an IT firm. The current process flows (as-is) are mapped to identify non-value-added activities as well as areas for improvement. Based on the analysis of the current state map, we propose recommendations, action plans, and a future state map (to-be-process). We estimate that, with the new process changes, IT project delivery time can be reduced from 210.5 days to 137.5 days – a 34.7% reduction in the software development life cycle process. This provides a powerful base for IT project management and enables the IT department to meet its expected project turnaround time.

Value stream analysis is only partially covering the logistics of material supply processes. This prevents a holistic optimization of the production system. The paper defines the goals of production logistics and points out the gap in research. Then, –it presents a value stream analysis oriented approach to identify potential improvements regarding inventory and transport at process level. Practical feasibility is demonstrated on an industrial use case.

Résumé :
The servitization of construction enterprises based on value chain integration means that construction enterprises use prefabricated buildings and combine advantageous resources to integrate preconstruction feasibility analysis, investment and financing services, design, etc., and postconstruction decoration, operation and maintenance, and waste disposal. This article takes the equipment-manufacturing industry as the research object, and based on the analysis of the service-based value chain integration process, it puts forward research hypotheses, constructs research models, and conducts data simulation research to explore how the equipment-manufacturing industry can realize the logic of industrial value through service reintegration and optimization reveal the changing laws and key influencing factors of the equipment-manufacturing industry’s value-added capabilities during this process. The results show that the industrial connection density, service element embedding methods, and knowledge absorption capacity have a significant impact on the value-added ability of the equipment-manufacturing industry during the integration process. The increase in industrial connection density promotes the enhancement of value-added capabilities, and it is significant at the initial stage and then weakened. Both the input-side and output-side service element embedding can affect the value-added ability, but the effects of the two are different. The improvement of knowledge absorptive capacity can promote the occurrence of service innovation, thereby enhancing the value-added capacity of the equipment-manufacturing industry.

Résumé :
The preservation of critical knowledge has become a serious problem for modern organizations. Today there is no universal and widespread method of preserving knowledge. To manage this process, it is necessary to determine which knowledge needs to be preserved. To do this, it is important to identify the causes of the loss of knowledge and assess the risks of the organization arising from such a loss. It is advisable to manage the preservation of knowledge on the basis of a value chain. The article presents the structure of the processes of the “Value formation” stage within the value chain of the knowledge preservation process. The implementation of such processes makes it possible to identify the knowledge that needs to be preserved and to prioritize the appropriate management actions.
