Texte intégralWeight training is validated method to development strength in youth (Malina 2006). Volleyball players use the vertical jump in competition and training (Kenny 2006; Papageorgiu 2003), with the aim to overcame the net (2.24m. for women, 2.43 for men). Power explosive ability and anthropometric characteristic are needed to complete the attack, block and jump service. The aim of the study in to analyzed the effect of several protocol of training in young volleyball. Six team: four female young teams, one men young team (15y) and one senior female team (22y) are evaluated in this work. The assessments are divided in performance tests (jump, throw, leg power, agility, flexibility) and anthropometric tests (Height, weight, FM, FFM, arm girths). Each team held in the season different training protocols for volume and intensity of the load used. The competitive results during the season were evaluated for two teams. This analysis showed that the attack and service are strongly correlated with the final result in the youth sectors as Drikos (2009) has found for international level. The height increase significantly and differently for youth groups. The variations of FM and FFM and arm girths depend from training carried out. The teams held two training sessions per week of physical training have improved in tests: CMJ, CMJ+A, medicine ball throws, Agility Flexibility The teams that make only one session for week improve, in particular periods according to previous training seasons, work developed, and gender. The best results are obtained by changing the training methodology. Different training methods allow a better adaptation.

Texte intégralThe study will investigate the subject of technologies as tools to support and sustain the design and creation of flexible learning process attentive to the specific characteristics of the individual student. Such investigation has requested the identification of strategies and expertise to support successfully the main objective to meet the special needs of the students by developing their differences, paying particular attention to the customization of activities and technologies used. A similar design has, however, required a theoretical and empirical analysis of national and international experience in support of inclusive perspective, with a focus on “inclusive practice” and on the effectiveness of the same technologies in support of inclusive processes. Starting from the consideration by which, in most cases, just provisioning a particular technological instrument is really not sufficient, in the first step we have pointed out needs of people involved, we’ve investigated on the material resources and on teaching and methodological expertises to meet the student’s heterogeneous needs. In the second step of the study we have done an action on customizing the technological tools to make sure that they could be fully accessible by the students involved. The work aimed for the implementation of flexible and equitable educational pathways: criteria that can be guaranteed only if the use of technologies - requiring a specific adjustment - is viewed continuously, within a learning process which tends to be characterised as an inclusive and effective process for the greatest number of students.

Texte intégralSTRENGTHENING OF THE STUDY METHOD: ANALYSIS OF AN INTERVENTION The aim of this research is to verify if an educational training focused on the learning method leads to an increase of self-regulation skill, a meaning of the study and the personalization of the learning. Besides applying certain tools for which results are already available, an instrument of selfregulation skill analysis, which data is not available in Italy, was translated, the LASSI (Learning and Study Strategies Inventory). The educational training was applied on two classes of second year of secondary school; a third class had the role of control group. The identified tools were appropriate for the analysis that were lead. Students showed that they possessed different levels of perception and conceptualization of the objects of teaching, of their experience and of their own role in teaching activities besides different levels of self-control and of cognitive strategies implied in learning. The relationship between awareness and metacognitive control and profit didn’t turn out to be linear: especially the students of the intermediate zone of profit have higher levels of awareness and more appropriate beliefs. The answers to the various instruments are weakly linked. This shows that at this age kids are not yet able to build an integrated representation of learning. The answers given to the different activities in relation to the different opinions and study habits are consistent. Some beliefs are also found to be exposed to gender. These results indicate that training brought students to recognize their active role in relation to the organization and study management. Finally, this work proved that students’ beliefs regarding learning can be explained, discussed and modified in the scholastic setting.

Texte intégralThe present research thesis describes the development of an experimental interdisciplinary project aiming at studying the evolution of two cognitive processes, working memory (WM) and selective attention, in the students of the Master’s Degree in Interpreting of the Department of Interpreting and Translation (DIT) of the University of Bologna. It was a longitudinal study in which four groups of students took part. The first group was formed of a study subgroup of interpreting students (25) and a control subgroup of translation students (19). Participants took a battery of memory and selective attention tests three times, at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of the Master’s Degree. The second group was formed of a study subgroup of interpreting students (21) and a control subgroup of translation students (36) and they took the same test battery twice, at the beginning and at the end of the first year of a two-year Master’s Degree. The tests used were six memory tests, of which five are the verbal memory tests of the “TEMA” battery and one is a WM test, “N-back task (letter stimuli)”. Then three selective attention tests were administered, “Auditory Selective Attention Task (ASAT)”, “Centre for Research on Safe Driving Attentional Network Task (CRSD-ANT) – Arrows” and “Color Word Stroop with Keyboard Responding”. For both study subgroups also data about autonomous interpreting exercise and interpreting exam results were collected. The results highlighted an improvement of WM efficiency in interpreting students, whereas no advantages were found for selective attention. From the analysis of the interaction of tests, autonomous exercise and exams in the study subgroups through regression models, it emerged that WM and selective attention have a positive influence on academic performance. Instead, autonomous exercise has no direct effect on exam results.

Texte intégralReelin is a large extracellular glycoprotein mainly secreted by Cajal-Retzius neurons during brain development (Lambert de Rouvroit & Goffinet, 1998; Rice & Curran, 2001). During the embryonic stage, reelin controls the position of neurons, the laminar structure of the cortex (Howell et al., 2000; D'Arcangelo, 2005) and the cellular organization in brain stem nuclei (Trommsdorff et al., 1999) by acting on apoliprotein E receptor 2 (apoER2), very low-density lipoprotein receptor (VLDL-R) and a3β1 integrin receptors (D'Arcangelo et al., 1995; Trommsdorff et al., 1999; Rodriguez et al., 2000). In adulthood, reelin is synthesized and secreted by a subset of cortical and hippocampal γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA)ergic interneurons (Alcantara et al., 1998; Drakew et al., 1998). In particular, it accumulates at postsynaptic densities in the hippocampus and neocortex, and regulates spine cytoskeleton by binding to integrin receptors expressed on dendritic spines (Dong et al., 2003). Because reelin is present in postnatal neurons during the different periods of neuronal migration (D'Arcangelo, 2005) and aggregates in the proximity of postsynaptic densities expressed in apical dendrite spines (Rodriguez et al., 2000), its function might not be limited to the developmental period. In fact, recent studies have shown that recombinant reelin modulates synaptic plasticity in the adult hippocampus by enhancing long-term potentiation (LTP), which is instead reduced: (i) in transgenic mice lacking reelin receptors; and (ii) in apoER2 knock-in mutants (Weeber et al., 2002; Beffert et al., 2005). There is evidence that, in addition to the plastic changes occurring in the hippocampus which are thought to be the cellular bases for learning and memory (Bliss & Collingridge, 1993; Bear & Malenka, 1994; Bear & Abraham, 1996), enduring synaptic changes occurring in the striatum also represent the cellular basis for some forms of learning, mainly linked to motor activity and reward (Calabresi et al., 1996; Lovinger & Tyler, 1996; Charpier & Deniau, 1997; Charpier et al., 1999; Centonze et al., 2001). In addition, reelin expressed in the embryonic striatum has been hypothesized to control the positioning of nigral mesencephalic dopamine (DA) neurons, which are malpositioned in reeler mice (Nishikawa et al., 2003). In the present study, Reelin-deficient mice have been used to investigate the role of this extracellular protein in cortico-striatal plasticity and striatum-related behaviours. Here we show that a repetitive electrical stimulation of the cortico-striatal pathway elicited long-term potentiation (LTP) in homozygous reeler (rl/rl) mice, while causing long-term depression in their wild-type (+/+) littermates. The N-methyl-d-aspartic acid (NMDA) receptor antagonist d-(–)-2 amino-5-phosphonopentanoic acid prevented the induction of LTP in (rl/rl) mice, thus confirming that this form of synaptic plasticity was NMDA receptor-dependent. Interestingly, in the presence of tiagabine, a blocker of γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) re-uptake system, the probability that (rl/rl) mice showed LTP decreased significantly, thus suggesting an impaired GABAergic transmission in reeler mutants. Consistent with this view, a decreased density of parvalbumin-positive GABAergic striatal interneurons was found in (rl/rl) mice in comparison to (+/+) mice. Finally, compatible with their abnormal striatal function (rl/rl) mice exhibited procedural learning deficits. Our data, showing alterations in cortico-striatal plasticity largely depending on a depressed GABAergic tone, delineate a mechanism whereby the lack of reelin may affect cognitive functions.

Texte intégralThe doctoral research "The university as agent of local development: Experience of articulation of the university program in the field of UNAN - Managua, in Tuma - La Dalia, Nicaragua 2018 - 2020", was carried out under the line of doctoral research Human Development Sustainable. Education is one of the fundamental pillars of sustainable human development, therefore, it is one of the human rights that states must guarantee based on the deployment of local capacities that will contribute to local development through access to decent employment and economic growth, improvements in the care and quality of health services and improvement of the quality of life in rural areas. The research highlights the importance of the university as an agent of local development that through educational processes generates alliances (articulation) with public and private institutions and non-governmental organizations based on the deployment of local capacities, the exchange of experiences and the strengthening of the professional skills for life that allow to contribute to local development with identity. The research results also present the level of impact and relevance of the UNICAM Program, focused on the experience of health, education and rural development students who become part of public institutions, spaces from which they contribute to improve care services. and improvements in the quality of health and education in their communities, but in turn have an impact on local economic development. UNICAM is a program that has transformed the lives of young people and adults in rural areas by developing an entrepreneurial culture among its students and their families, to be generators of jobs and opportunities in their communities. The research also integrates a proposal to strengthen the UNICAM Program in order to maximize the experience developed in the classroom, the collaboration networks with local governments and institutions with a presence in the sector that have cont

Texte intégralTheory of Mind (ToM) is the ability of recognition and mental states' attribution to predict future behaviors. ToM deficit is well recognized in MS; hence, ToM training in this population is relevant because ToM is strictly connected with quality of life of people with multiple sclerosis (pwMS). To our knowledge, there is no training established for the treatment in this population. For this reason, we proposed to investigate the efficacy of social cognition training in other adults with chronic disease. We conducted a systematic review and a meta-analysis of SC training in schizophrenia, given that these subjects present demographic characteristics similar to pwMS. Hence, we design a rehabilitation ToM training for pwMS; before evaluating its efficacy, we conducted an acceptability study to overcome potential barriers for its feasibility. Lastly, we implement this novel rehabilitation training testing its efficacy on ToM in pwMS.
