La tesi si pone l’obiettivo di indagare il ruolo del portico nella città, non come singolo episodio architettonico, bensì come bene culturale diffuso in maniera capillare. Si vuole sottolineare l’importanza del binomio portici e tessuto urbano, poiché spesso ci si limita a studiarne solo l’evoluzione dei metodi costruttivi e del linguaggio. Il susseguirsi di episodi porticati, indistintamente dalla propria ricchezza architettonica, definisce la forma della città ed eleva il tessuto edilizio a monumento, pertanto una distinzione tra emergenze architettoniche ed edilizia minore, in termini di valore, non risulta soltanto superflua, ma bensì fuorviante. Il valore del portico è intrinseco alla sua presenza e si incorrerebbe in una serie di disguidi ad affermare che sono gli edifici monumentali a dare valore alla città: Portici monumentali e seriali dialogano nel continuum dando vita ad un unicum che assume valore in quanto intero, non totale, come più volte affermato da Cesare Brandi. La ricerca in parallelo sull’evoluzione urbanistica della città e sull’origine e lo sviluppo dei portici, intrecciata con i dati relativi ai rilievi diretti delle sezioni stradali e dei casi studio, ha permesso la ricostruzione dello sviluppo del portico in relazione all’evoluzione del tessuto urbano nel corso dei secoli, individuando tre momenti ritenuti fondamentali: la diffusione dell’elemento porticato nelle città medievali, la risposta politica di bologna e il portico come elemento determinante l’evoluzione del linguaggio della città. Si è così dimostrato come la città, in ogni epoca storica, abbia identificato nei portici un mezzo tramite il quale rinascere senza perdere la propria storicità e continuità architettonica. In conclusione, si è elaborata una “carta del restauro dei portici”, che possa indirizzare l’intervento di restauro verso un approccio culturale, al fine di garantire la salvaguardia dell’intero sistema porticato, a prescindere dal linguaggio del singolo manufatto.

Resumo: O Brasil é um país de clima tropical e o conforto térmico é de capital importância na elaboração de projetos de edificações. Entretanto não se observa este cuidado amiúde, o que consequentemente leva os edifícios a serem mal ventilados e desconfortáveis. Um estudo sobre a eficiência de lantemins em coberturas, para melhoria do conforto térmico, propõe ums nova geometria de treliça de madeira que contemple um incremento na ventilação natural do ambiente. É fixado um valor ideal de abertura em lantemins assimétricos, incorporados às treliças, em função do vão coberto. A treliça de madeira proposta foi construida usando-se conectores metálicos dentados tipo "gang-nail", que conferem engastamento parcial às ligações. Esses podem apresentar valores desde próximos da articulação até aqueles próximos do engaste perfeito, dependendo do tamanho da chapa, superfície efetivamente pregada e da espécie da madeira. Nesse trabalho são feitas abordagens teóricas que se aplicam a essas ligações, originando o Programa Engnail, para cálculo de estruturas planas com ligações semi-rígidas. Uma análise experimental desenvolvida em laboratório teve o objetivo de comparar os resultados teóricos e experimentais, bem como contribuir para o equacionamento dos casos onde se pretende considerar ligações semi-rígidas
Abstract: Thermal comfort is a very important point to be considered in buildings placed in a tropical country like Brazil. U sing natural ventilation and an efficient ridge vent, we can minimize the thermal discomfort and increase the personal welfare. A new Portico- Truss, proposed by an original geometry, improves the thermal comfort. Using nail plates, this truss joints have a semirigid behavior. Normaly the behavior ofthe joints is considered pinned or rigid. The experimental tests of all sizes of nail plates, named "Gang-Nail", resulted in a Partial Fixing Coefficient (CEP) for each size. These CEP's have important influence in truss stiffuess. A truss, built in natural scale and with new geometry, was tested. The difference between theorical and experimental results was acceptable

In the second chapter, there are internet campaigns analyzed using web analy-tics. On the basis of this analysis are formulated specific recommendations in the third chapter. The fourth chapter deals with the evaluation of modified campaigns. The fifth chapter deals with the evaluation of the results and the formulation of final recommen-dations.

Fast development of services in the area of internet technology requires continuous research and development of software products, including information portals. Absence of documentation often limits the development of software products and increases the costs of maintenance of the product. It is essential to maintain or prepare, in case it is absent, quality documentation of the software in use to continue in portal's controlled development. Subject of this work is the analysis of services of internet information portal focused on tourism, specifically camping. The goal of the paper is to focus in detail on all services offered at the portal and subsequently analyse their benefits for the portal's users. We introduce basic terminology of internet portals. We introduce rules of usability and accessibility of web pages and their application for portal services. We describe the method of reverse engineering, that I use for update of the documentation of the services. The analysis is split in two phases. In the first phase, each service is described in detail and service's representation at higher abstraction level is created via reverse engineering. In the second phase we carry out and review questionnaire research. The research focuses on usage of the services by a group of potential customers. Based on the research carried out we conclude on recommendations about changes in further operation of the system.

The thesis is focused on the analyse of procedures in the area of drawing financial support from European structural and investment funds within implementation of the EU Cohesion Policy. Based on the screening and analysis of current operational programmes, the objective of the thesis is developping a design of a path that could help an applicant find more easily by using a convenient flowchart an intervention area in a particular operation programme, within which an applicant may potentially apply for a subsidy. The thesis contains a screening of the primary national information sources www.dotaceeu.cz in terms of KPI and usability testing. The practical part of the thesis contains a design of a chart that learly shows the various ways of obtaining the required information about the possible subsidy. The main classes of questions needed to be answered while searching for the appropriate financial aid are the type of the applicant, the place where the project is to be implemented, the form of the aid and the type of the project.

OSE is a real-time operating system from ENEA. One of the key features in OSE is the signaling interprocess communication (IPC) system. ENEA has also released a similar IPC system called LINX, that is platform independent.
For the purpose of running OSE programs under Linux, I have evaluated two software libraries that are designed to simulate the OSE programming environment. The libraries in question are called SoftApi and OSEPL, where SoftApi was developed by RealTime Logic and modified by me to utilize LINX for interprocess communication, and OSEPL was designed by me to overcome some of the limitations in SoftApi. Neither of those libraries proved to be suited for production systems, but it is deemed possible to implement a similar library that is.

Programming PLC systems is limited by the provided libraries. In contrary, hardware-near programming needs bigger efforts in e. g. initializing the hardware. This work others a foundation to combine advantages of both development sides. Therefore, Portable.NET from the DotGNU project has been used, which is an implementation of CLI, better known as “.NET”. The target system is the PLCcore-5484 microcontroller board, developed by SYS TEC electronic GmbH. Built upon the porting, two variants to use interrupt routines withing the Portabe.NET runtime environment have been analyzed. Finally, the reaction times to occuring interrupt events have been examined and comparedDie Programmierung für SPS-Systeme ist durch die gegebenen Bibliotheken beschränkt, während hardwarenahe Programmierung einen größeren Aufwand durch z.B. Initialisierungen hat. Diese Arbeit bietet eine Grundlage, um die Vorteile beider Entwicklungsseiten zu kombinieren. Dafür wurde Portable.NET des DotGNU-Projekts, eine Implementierung des CLI, bekannter unter dem Namen “.NET”, benutzt. Das Zielsystem ist das PLCcore-5484 Mikrocontrollerboard der SYS TEC electronic GmbH. Aufbauend auf der Portierung wurden zwei Varianten zur Einbindung von Interrupt-Routinen in die Portable.NET Laufzeitumgebung untersucht. This thesis deals with portation of the OptaPlanner tool to the Android operating system. The OptaPlanner is used for solving planning problems and it is completely written in the Java programming language which is also used for application development of the Android operating system. However, Android does not contain all of the Java Standard Edition Application Programming Interface libraries and porting of OptaPlanner to Android thus causes dependency problems. The result of the thesis is solution design and implementation of the problems mentioned above and model Android Vehicle Routing Problem application which uses ported OptaPlanner tool.

This dissertation thesis is focused at opportunities in real estate industry in connection with using internet based portal for real estate agencies. The thesis is based on Čestmír Kadlec's dissertation thesis which presents a methodology for creating real estate agencies portal. The main aim of this paper is to specify a concept of real estate agencies portal web pages according to methodology developed by Kadlec and evaluate required investment into development and operation the real estate agencies internet based portal. Firstly, theoretical part deals with information society, real estate market in the Czech Republic and how the evolution of information society influenced Czech real estate market in the past. Also the thesis contains description of real estate agency portals in the Czech Republic, their typology and a selection of a web portal for further analysis. The analysis of Sreality.cz contains a description of key processes and also description and fees of provided services. Practical part is focused at specification of real estate agencies web portal according to Kadlec's methodology which can be found in his dissertation thesis. Firstly, there is a description of real estate agencies portal as a system. Then there is an assessment how the proposed solutions meets the criteria specified by Kadlec, which the "ideal" web portal must have. In conclusion, the business case was prepared to Compaq the costs of development and operation of the portal and potential revenues according to competition market analysis. The outcome of the whole thesis is a recommendation whether the investment in the portal makes business sense.

The objective of this thesis is to propose an online marketing strategy for the Divadlo.cz web portal, which is currently undergoing a complete redesign including the extension of functions and services provided to its users. The proposed mix of marketing activities should help to increase the target groups' awareness of news on the web and provide the increase of the targeted visit rate. At the same time I focused on the possibilities of the increase of the web conversion ratio and, on the basis of the analyses and user testing performed, I proposed some changes on the web, which will contribute to the creation of more user-friendly environment and will facilitate the achievement of the web's objectives. Owing to the fact that the operator of the portal is the Arts Institute - Theatre Institute, which is a state-funded organization founded by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, I selected such marketing methods which least burden the budget and their staffing can be mostly provided in-house. The elaboration of this thesis was primarily based on my own knowledge and experience, obtained by several years of self-study and work in a company, which engages in web design and Internet marketing. The entire thesis is divided into two main parts; the first, theoretical part deals with the Internet marketing itself and its selected tools, which can be utilized during the creation of online marketing strategy of the web in the non-profit sector. In the other, principal part I focus exclusively on the Divadlo.cz portal: first I subject the portal to web analyses and user testing, and in the conclusion I propose the specific marketing strategy for the increase of the web visit rate, divided into the following components: subject, time, finances and personnel.

This thesis attempts to account for the appearance, persistence, and eventual decline of an architectural motif, derived from ancient pagan temples, widely used as the principal feature on an increasing variety of building types in Britain, during the period 1630 to 1850. The thesis seeks to do this by defining both the word 'portico' and the architectural forms to which, historically, it was applied, and by examining the religious, political, social, and stylistic contexts in which the portico, as a metaphor for the temple, was utilized. The rationalization within the Vitruvian-Christian tradition of the ancient temple's pagan connotations; the portico's intrinsic capacity to symbolize virtue, distinction, and authority; the changing perceptions of the idea of the temple; and the different nature and sources of both the authority and the architectural style which the portico expressed, are investigated. Architecturally, the portico expressed grandeur, centrality, and an entry; it controlled, defined, and gave focus to urban space. Introduced to Britain by Inigo Jones, and based on classical Roman and Palladian models but with Salomonic overtones, the portico initially symbolized Stuart dynastic claims to divine kingship. As political and economic power shifted to an aristocratic oligarchy, the temple that was Britain, Rome's heir, symbolized a church and state united, and the secular virtues of the Augustan age. Palladio's fusion of Roman temple and villa provided the model for the oligarchy's power base, the porticoed country house. Archaeology and politics combined, first to project mercantile opulence through imperial Roman-inspired neo-classicism, then the more fundamental qualities of the Greek temple. The Pantheon gave way to the Parthenon; the temple of private wealth to the imagined temple of democracy. After epitomizing the characteristic early nineteenth-century public style, the too-pagan Greek portico succumbed - as did the classical ideal - in the anarchy of styles, to the Gothic.

Barrelfish operating system is an experimental instance of multikernel structure which exhibits good features such as hardware heterogeneity, scalability, dynamicity, etc. Barrelfish is in progress and lacks applications. Therefore, there is a need to investigate the efficiency of applications running in Barrelfish and one of candidates is a shared-memory application. To conduct an empirical study, Cilk is chosen inasmuch as its runtime library is designed for shared-memory architectures and it has been known to expose good performance. This thesis focuses on making Cilk run on top of Barrelfish in order to reach two goals: portability which is described to be supported by Barrelfish, and good speed afterwards. The porting involves compiling Cilk runtime source code by replacing its pthread subroutines with set of APIs in Barrelfish and then changing the way Cilk scheduler spawns worker thread on multiple cores. However, the main point of the porting is to make different cores access to the same virtual address space. Luckily, Barrelfish provides a notion of domain which specifies the number of cores in an application so that these cores can share the same memory space. This thesis also has carried out benchmarks on some Cilk programs and found that Cilk does not perform as well as it is expected. In addition measurements on parallel workers shows that Cilk on Barrelfish takes more cycles to perform computation. Although Cilk still maintains work-first principle, it cannot achieve the time bound. The spanning domain cost is proportional to the number of cores, but it will matter if applications take small time to complete.

Barrelfish is a research operating system with the focus on the scalability of manycore architectures and the increasing numbers of heterogeneous hardware. Instead of heavily relying on the cache coherency protocol which has been proved to be an inherent bottleneck on manycore systems, Barrelfish employs the thought of distributed systems and uses the message-passing approach to implement inter-core communication. The TilePro architecture is a manycore system with up to 64 cores and several mesh networks. Because of its special hardware design, TilePro is considered to be a ideal vehicle to run Barrelfish on, in order to make full use of the advantages from its manycore and network structure. The porting of Barrelfish on TilePro architecture involves some general set-ups of image booting, virtual memory system, context switch, interrupts and system calls, inter-dispatcher communication and so on. At the beginning, the whole system fully starts up on the first logic core, and later the monitor process on the first core will be responsible for booting up others in order, according to the pre-configuration of memory space on the initial core. There are two sorts of communication provided originally in Barrelfish under the protocol of user remote procedure call (URPC). The local message passing (LMP), which happens when two dispatchers communicate with each other on the same core, is implemented by invoking system calls, passing all the values through reserved registers. The user-level message passing (UMP), which is designed for inter-core communication, depends on a shared memory approach. The inter-core communication begins as the second core is starting. The project also investigates how to utilize TilePro mesh network structure to fulfil the inter-core communication so that the characteristic of the architecture would be exploited thoroughly. TilePro offers several mesh networks with different properties and behaviours. In this case, we mainly use user dynamic network (UDN) instead of UMP to carry out remote core-to-core communication, although still based on the existing protocol of URPC. The result shows that Barrelfish can completely boots up on two cores at least and some user applications could be executed either on the first core or on the second properly, while the core-to-core communication is working on TilePro UDN network.

Les compilateurs modernes consacrent beaucoup d’efforts pour générer un code à la fois correct et efficace. De nombreuses optimisations ont été développées pour améliorer les performances du programme. Classiquement les techniques de compilation dynamique ne se sont pas imposées comme norme. Il a été démontré que la compilation dynamique peut aider à optimiser le code au-delà des limites traditionnelles des compilateurs statiques. Les compilateurs dynamiques incluent généralement des optimisations telles que : l’évaluation partielle d’expression arithmétique ou logique, la propagation de constante/zéro, déroulage de boucles, etc… en vue de l’optimisation des programmes. Durant cette thèse, je présente les techniques de compilation dynamique qui étendent le champ d’application d’optimisations dynamiques. Les techniques que j’ai développées génèrent du code binaire sous forme des composants simples appelés code blocks. On peut interconnecter ces composants en diverses manières, plus tard, selon le problème sous la main et selon le modèle d’ILP de la machine cible. Je montre que le code généré par mes techniques est souvent plus performant que du code C généré statiquement. En plus, mes techniques étant dynamiques sont plus flexibles que des techniques statiques traditionnelles. Je montre que mes techniques facilitent l’utilisation des opérations matérielles spécialisées de manière portable avec la possibilité d’exploitation du contexte au temps d’exécution, par exemple on peut générer des opérations spéciales de chargement de mémoire en se basant sur l’alignement mémoire de variables au temps d’exécution. Ensuite, je montre des techniques dynamiques permettant de choisir les jeux d’instructions (ISA) pour les noyaux d’un programme en fonction de conditions d’exécution sur une architecture multicore hétérogène. Finalement, je montre que la compilation dynamique peut être appliquée pour exploiter les zones mémoires qui se chevauchent sur une application de compression vidéo. Au cours de mes expérimentations, j’ai comparé la performance des codes que je génère avec des codes optimisés/tunés à la main. J’ai observé que dans certains cas, le code généré dynamiquement a des performances similaires à ceux optimisés à la main et dans certains cas il les dépasse en terme de performanceModern compilers work hard to generate both correct and efficient code. A number of compiler optimizations have been developed overtime to achieve better program performance. State-of-art compilation tools have largely remained static. Although dynamic compilation techniques have failed to make it to the mainstream, it has been shown that dynamic compilation can help optimize code beyond the limits of traditional static compilers. Classical dynamic compilers have generally relied upon optimizations like partial evaluation, constant/zero propagation, loop unrolling etc. . . To improve program performance. In this thesis I present dynamic compilation techniques that extend the scope of dynamic optimizations. I have developed techniques that allow binary code generation in the form of simple code components called code blocks that can be interconnect in different ways according to the problem at hand and the ILP-model of the target machine. I show that in most cases the code generated by this technique exhibits performance superior to optimized static C-code. Moreover the technique being at runtime is more flexible as compared to the corresponding static code. I show that my techniques help exploit special purpose machine operations in a portable manner with possible context exploitation e. G. The use of special load operations based on the runtime memory alignment of different variables. I demonstrate dynamic techniques to choose the instruction set (ISA) for several program kernels based on the runtime conditions on a heterogeneous multi-core architecture. Finally I demonstrate that dynamic compilation can be used to exploit overlapping memory regions in video compression applications. Program performance in some cases has been compared to that of hand tuned assembly codes where available. It has been shown that dynamically generated code demonstrates similar performances to the hand tuned codes in some cases and outperform them in others

The main goal of this diploma thesis is the creation of the bases for the project realization with the output in the form of the web portal for disabled fellow - citizens and people with special needs, e.g. elderly, foreigners etc. Mentioned bases form especially the analytic part of the project and description and realization of the most activities, which are in some way related to the work of the analyst. One of the most important contributions of this diploma thesis is the identification of the issue of disabled people, the identification of current available significant and germane information within the framework and especially the proposal and recommendation for developing the present situation. This diploma thesis forms finally the indispensable benefit for resolution of the whole project, because it contains its substantial part. The thesis is divided into several comprehensive and connected blocks. There are the main goals and reasons leading to choosing this subject described in the introduction, as well as the premises and limitations of realization of this diploma thesis. The author continues with identification of the information needs of possible portal users, whereas the emphasis is placed on the status and number of disabled citizens in the Czech Republic. Another important part of this thesis is the construction and description of the project plan, which includes the activities and occurrences needed for the realization of the overall solution. The remaining structure of the thesis is determined by a sequence of phases and activities described in the project plan. The evaluation of achieved goal's levels and detail identification of the contributions is made at the close of this diploma thesis.

The work focuses on the design, development and implementation of a web entertainment portal. The main objective of this work is to create an application that will meet the required functionality using appropriate technologies. Defining the desired functionality as well as the selection of appropriate technology is part of corresponding chapters. As the selected and then used technology was chosen server-side programming language PHP in conjunction with the MySQL database system. The application is a web portal based on Zend framework application that is practical implementation of the MVC architecture. As the client-side programming language was chosen JavaScript, together with a freely available library jQuery that simplifies and streamlines work with the language. The thesis then describes the design data model, which forms the basis for future application. The following chapter describes the structure of each system and relations between them. The conclusion is devoted to consideration of whether the fulfillment of the objectives, benefits and work output.

The thesis deals with the topic of eGovernment and services provided within eGovernment in the Czech Republic. The aim is to describe the present eGovernment possibilities and to focus more closely on the analysis of the Public Administration Portal. The analysis serves as a foundation for proposing improvements to the Portal, including basic interface design. All changes are sufficiently backed by arguments. The second chapter introduces the basics of eGovernment and the history of eGovernment in the Czech Republic. The third chapter summarizes basic conditions for the existence and realistic functioning of effective eGovernment. The fourth chapter describes selected important eGovernment services. The fifth chapter describes selected duties of a company that are dependent on the existence of eGovernment services. In the sixth chapter an analysis of Public Administration Portal itself is done. The structure of the Portal itself and displaying information on mobile devices are covered as well. Furthermore, possible changes and extensions to the Portal are proposed so that the Portal may become a real gateway to eGovernment services. In the seventh chapter it is possible to find the summary of findings, thesis contributions and assessment of their usability.

Carasoft AB är ett företag som specialiserat sig på utveckling av dokumenthanteringssystem. Man erbjuder bland annat ett Windowsbaserat dokumenthanteringssystem vid namn Caradoc. Systemet består av flertalet DLL:er skrivna i Delphi och har inte ändrats eller kompilerats sedan 2004. Det här examensarbetet har i syfte att utreda om det finns möjlighet att inom rimlig tid portera Caradoc till Windows 7, med hjälp av den nya Delphi-versionen XE2. Efter en förstudie i ämnet portering, programspråket Delphi och systemets struktur gjordes ett försök att portera systemets största DLL "OfficeUtils.dll".Erfarenheter från examensarbetet visar på tre viktiga förutsättningar för att porteringen ska lyckas. Arbetet resulterade i en fungerande DLL samt ett antal porterade och fungerande Delhpi-komponenter. Slutligen dras slutsatsen att systemet bör kunna porteras som tänkt.Carasoft is a company specializing in document handling systems. Caradoc, a product from Carasoft, is a system that has not been updated or compiled since 2004. It is a document handling system for Windows with several DLLs written in Delphi. The main goal of this thesis is to investigate whether a full scale porting of Caradoc to Windows 7 is feasible within a reasonable period of time. The work is done with the new Delphi version XE2. An initial study was performed, concerning porting in general, the Delphi programming language and the Caradoc system in particular. Thereafter an attempt was made to port the largest DLL, “OfficeUtils.dll”, of the system. This thesis shows three conditions that should be satisfied for a porting effort to be successful. This work also resulted in a functional DLL and several working Delphi components. In conclusion, the system can be ported as envisioned.

La tesi si propone di individuare per la città di Cavezzo ed il suo centro urbano, colpito dal sisma di maggio 2012,
le strategie per la ricostruzione e la definizione delle proprie forme urbane.
In particolare, nel sistema delle piazze urbane del centro storico, ci si concentra sulla ridefinizione di Piazza Martiri della Libertà, oggi piazza del mercato che si presenta come un grande parcheggio asfaltato e privo di identità, sulla quale si affaccerà la nuova sede comunale ospitata nelle ex scuole elementari.
Questo avviene tramite il progetto di un portico, elemento unificatore di un contesto frammentato e generatore di un nuovo ordine spaziale.
Il primo capitolo di questo volume raccoglie alcune informazioni relative al territorio e alla storia della città di Cavezzo, nel capitolo secondo si affronta il tema del terremoto mentre nel terzo capitolo si ripercorre una sintesi dell'ampio tema della piazza correlata da casi studio.
Infine gli ultimi capitoli affrontano i temi progettuali del ridisegno del centro di Cavezzo e della riqualificazione di piazza Martiri della Libertà con il progetto di un edificio polifunzionale che circonda una piazza coperta.

Previous issue date: 2014-01-13This research was developed into the domain of linguistic theory and analysis, more specifically phonological studies, and aims at diferenciating light and heavy syllables in Portuguese. Quantity sensitive languages treat these two structures differently in relation to their role in processes such as stress assignment, tone, etc (GORDON, 2004). Tone or stress are rather assigned to heavy or bimoraic syllables (HYMAN, [1985] 2003; HAYES, 1989). Under this view, this research describes the behavior of CVC, which can be heavy in Portuguese, in the absence of long vowels, based on the process of stress assignment, a classical theme in the studies on phonological theory. Studies about stress in Portuguese meet no consensus on the role of weight for stress (CAMARA JR., 2007 [1970]; BISOL, 1992, 1994a; LEE, 1994; WETZELS, 1996, 2002, 2003, 2006; MAGALH?ES, 2004, 2010). The notion of contextually-dependent weight is necessary to describe stress, as in this work we treat weight as a relevant factor only at the right edge of the word (BISOL, 1992, 1994a; MAGALH?ES, 2004, 2010). Non-derived and derived items ended in CVC, in which final C is a sonorant [l,r,N] and the obstruent [S], compose the corpus of the study. They are all part of a 10.191 closed-syllable-word corpus. Once word final CVC usually behaves as strong, attracting main stress, we look for morphological reasons to justify the behavior of the exceptions. Thus, we argue that feet are constructed based on moras and that the stress rule in Portuguese is sensitive to the morphological structure of words, blocking weigth assignment to the terminal element in syllables which belong to specific morphemes. The analysis of the phonology/morphology interface in derived and non-derived items follows Pater (2000, 2004, 2007, 2009), counting on indexed constraints and considering inconsistencies as morphologically conditioned. Moreover, the dubious behavior of post-vocalic /S/, which is sometimes light, sometimes heavy, is as well discussed. Sonority constraints on moraic segments are verified (ZEC, 1998,1995, 2007). Optimality Theory, an output oriented model, which does not deal with rule ordering or derivation cycles, allows us to work with syllabification, weight and stress assignment in parallel.
Este trabalho insere-se no dom?nio da teoria e an?lise lingu?stica, mais especificamente dos estudos fonol?gicos, e tem como objetivo principal diferenciar s?labas leves e pesadas no portugu?s. L?nguas com sensibilidade quantitativa tratam essas duas estruturas diferentemente com rela??o ao seu papel em processos como acentua??o, tom, etc (GORDON, 2004). Nessas l?nguas, s?labas pesadas ou bimoraicas s?o preferencialmente as portadoras de acento ou tom (HYMAN, [1985] 2003; HAYES, 1989). Dentro desse panorama, este trabalho busca descrever o comportamento da s?laba CVC, que pode manifestar-se como pesada na l?ngua, na aus?ncia de vogais longas, a partir do processo de acentua??o no portugu?s, tema cl?ssico nos estudos em teoria fonol?gica. Nos estudos sobre o acento em portugu?s n?o h? consenso sobre o papel do peso na atribui??o de acento (CAMARA JR., 2007 [1970]; BISOL, 1992, 1994a; LEE, 1994; WETZELS, 1996, 2002, 2003, 2006; MAGALH?ES, 2004, 2010). A no??o de peso contextualmente dependente ? necess?ria para dar conta do acento, uma vez que, neste trabalho, em conformidade com Bisol (1992, 1994a) e Magalh?es (2004, 2010), trata-se o fator peso como relevante apenas na borda direita da palavra. Comp?em o corpus deste estudo itens n?o derivados e derivados terminados por s?laba CVC cujos elementos p?svoc?licos s?o as soantes [l,r,N], e a obstruinte [S], todos oriundos de um banco de dados composto por 10.191 palavras terminadas em s?labas fechadas. Como a estrutura CVC em posi??o final geralmente se manifesta como pesada na l?ngua, recebendo o acento principal, buscam-se justificativas de origem morfol?gica para o comportamento das exce??es. Defende-se, assim, que a forma??o de p?s ? realizada com base nas moras e que a regra de acento em portugu?s ? sens?vel ? estrutura morfol?gica dos termos, de modo a impedir a atribui??o de peso ao elemento terminal da s?laba quando na presen?a de determinados morfemas. A an?lise da interface fonologia/morfologia em itens derivados e n?o derivados fundamenta-se na proposta de Pater (2000, 2004, 2007, 2009) de restri??es indexadas, considerando a altern?ncia morfologicamente condicionada. Al?m disso, discute-se o comportamento d?bio do segmento /S/ p?s-voc?lico, que ora porta-se como leve, ora pesado, verificando os patamares de sonoridade para segmentos m?ricos atuantes na l?ngua (ZEC, 1998,1995, 2007). A Teoria da Otimidade, um modelo voltado para o output, que n?o conta com o ordenamento de regras ou ciclos na deriva??o, permite lidarmos com silabifica??o, atribui??o de peso e acentua??o paralelamente.

XDtools is a plugin originally used in the NeOn Toolkit ontology editor. XDtools is used as a tool for the ontology engineer when designing new ontologies or to add new parts to existing ontologies. The XDtools plugin was partially ported to another ontology editor, Protégé. This thesis describes the implementation and design choices made during the work with porting the plugin. A description of the parts that have been ported can be found in the report. It also contains the result of the testing and user study made after the implementation. Conclusions of those results and proposed changes to the plugin are also found in the report.

The smartphone market has grown to a significant size these recent years. Currently several platforms are competing against one another - each holding a noticeable market share. It is therefore beneficial to release a product on several platforms to reach more customers. Two of the most popular platforms for smartphones are the iOS and Android operating systems. The aim of the thesis is to create a full portation of an iPhone application to the Android platform, based upon the requirement specification and source code for the iPhone application. Making changes to better suit the Android platform where needed. The application being ported fetches truck travel data from a web service and visualizes the data for the user. The results show that the portation was successful even though some components did not have exact equivalents. This was solved by creating something from Slight changes was performed to accommodate the differences between the two platforms e.g. incorporating the back button.
