Résumé :
Background: Crouzon syndrome is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder characterized by craniosynostosis, midface retrusion, and exophthalmos. Over the past century, the treatment of craniofacial disorders like Crouzon syndrome has evolved significantly. Methods: An institutional review board–approved retrospective study was conducted to ascertain the treatment of three individuals with Crouzon syndrome from one family, complemented with a series of literature searches to examine the evolution of craniofacial surgical history. Results: Dr. David Williams Cheever developed the Le Fort I level to correct malocclusion, maxillomandibular malformations, and midface hypoplasia. Later, Dr. Paul Tessier introduced the Le Fort II and III osteotomies to treat syndromic midface hypoplasia. In 1978, Dr. Fernando Ortiz-Monasterio and Dr. Antonio Fuente del Campo published the first series of monobloc osteotomies, allowing for simultaneous correction of supraorbital and midface malformations, although complicated by blood loss and high infection rates. In 1992, McCarthy et al introduced the concept of gradual distraction to the craniofacial skeleton. In 1995, Polley et al performed the first monobloc advancement using external distraction. Subsequently, in 1997, Polley and Figueroa introduced a rigid external distraction device with multiple vector control to manage severe cleft maxillary hypoplasia. The technique was further refined and applied to treat syndromic midface hypoplasia, reducing complication rates. Currently, either external or internal distraction approaches are used to safely treat this challenging group of patients. Conclusion: The treatment of syndromic midface deficiency has significantly evolved over the past 50 years, as evidenced by this report of three generations of Crouzon syndrome.

Résumé :
Pollen Powder or Sari : Aspects of Morphology, Systematics and Application on Menthol Family Plant Pollen is the important component of plant to develop through reproductive. Pollen is the male organ of plants that plays an important role in the process of the evolution of plants. Menthol family plants (the Family Lamiaceae) is one of biggest families after Asteraceae. The process of the cross breeding often dominates the process of the evolution to the ment al Family. The research on the menthol Family's pollen aimed to know the affinity and the process of his pollination. The form of pollen of the Family Lamiaceae, was round and hexacolpate, the form was the same as the species member with their relatives. In the process of pollination often helped by the bee where pollen that clung to the abdomen part and the chest of the bee and moved to the other flower where the cross-pollination happen. The process of the cross-pollination happened also because of the same of maturity time between pollen of male and the stigma surface of female. The seed was still being the dominant factor in the reproductive in the Family Lamiaceae. Key words : Pollen, Pollination, Lamiaceae, the Mint family, the bee, the seed Abstrak Serbuk sari atau dikenal dengan pollen merupakan komponen penting tanaman untuk berkembang melalui reproduktif.

Abstract Introduction: The risk of specific clinical subtype of breast cancer (defined by ER and HER2 status) among women in the general population who are carriers of germline pathogenic variants (PVs) in cancer predisposition genes is not well-defined. Methods: A total of 13,153 women with breast cancer (ER+/HER2-: 9381; ER+/HER2+: 1462; ER-/HER2+: 690; and ER-/HER2-: 1620) and 25,005 unaffected women (controls) from nine studies within the CAnceR RIsk Estimates Related to Susceptibility (CARRIERS) consortium that were not enriched for family history or early onset disease were included in the present analysis. A multiplex amplicon-based panel was used to perform germline sequencing for cancer predisposition genes. Case-control associations for each of the four clinical subtype of breast cancer was performed for PVs in 5 common breast cancer predisposition genes (ATM, BRCA1, BRCA2, CHEK2 and PALB2) utilizing a logistic regression model adjusting for study, age at diagnosis, race/ethnicity and family history of breast cancer. Results: The frequency of PVs in 5 genes was 3.8% for ER+/HER2-, 6.2% for ER+/HER2+, 4.2% for ER-/HER2+ and 9.3% for ER-/HER2- subtypes. PVs in BRCA1 and BRCA2 were associated with high risk (Odds Ratio (OR) >4) for all clinical subtypes of breast cancer, but the risk was highest (OR>8) for ER-/HER2- breast cancer. PVs in PALB2 were associated with high risk (OR>4) of ER-/HER2- and ER+/HER2+ subtypes and moderate risk (OR: 2-4) of ER+/HER2- breast cancer. Irrespective of the HER2 status, PVs in ATM were associated with a moderately increased risk (OR: 2-4) of ER+ breast cancer but the risk of ER- breast cancer was not elevated. In contrast, PVs in CHEK2 were associated with high risk (OR>4) of ER+/HER2+ breast cancer and moderate risk (OR: 2-4) of ER+/HER2- and ER-/HER2+ breast cancer, but the risk of ER-/HER2- breast cancer was not elevated. Conclusions: This study provides population-based estimates of risk of specific clinical subtypes of breast cancer which will be useful for genetic counseling and targeting appropriate screening strategies in PV carriers based on subtype specific risks of breast cancer. Résumé :
As the American population ages, the need for long-term care, already great, will become even greater. Some of this care is paid for by government programs, such as Medicaid, and by individual long-term care insurance policies. But the combination of the public fisc and private insurance are, and will continue to be, insufficient to pay for all of the care our seniors and adults with disabilities need. The provision of care in a family residence by one or more family members is an important component of our health care delivery system and must be supported and encouraged by public policy and law. As experts in the law of estate planning and health care, respectively, we address in this Article the following question: How might the American law of succession realistically recognize, support, and promote family caregiving? Our answer is a pragmatic proposal that can be adopted into the Uniform Probate Code (UPC). We propose a modified elective share for a family member who has provided the decedent with substantial uncompensated care in a family residence. (In this context, "family member" excludes the decedent's surviving spouse, because the UPC already provides a spousal share.) Our approach contrasts with the prevailing law in the U.S., which treats personal services rendered by family members as gratuitous, hence not compensable. The scope and amount of the caregiver's elective share can be structured by way of analogy to the surviving spouse's elective share, though with important differences, as we discuss herein.

Résumé :
The paper presents the development and transformation of the Czech population policy since the 1950s. It changed from the pronatalist, carried out at a time when the Czech Republic was part of the communist Czechoslovakia, to mostly social in the time of the transition from the 1990s, and the actualization and introduction of new measures in the last decade. The measures that were defined and implemented over a certain period of time represented the state?s response to the family and reproductive behavior of the population, most often reflected in low fertility, largely determined by the current social, economic and cultural conditions. In this sense, the period of the greatest challenges came after 1989, with the transformation of the social and political system and the great economic and social changes that followed, as well as the decline in fertility to an extremely low level. At that time, family policy excluded the pronatalist incentives and benefits and only kept social measures aimed at reducing poverty and alleviating inequalities. Since the early 2000s, new measures have been defined and implemented, motivated by the need to stop and change the declining fertility trend that reached the lowest level (TFR 1.13 in 1999), by looking at the possible negative socio-economic consequences, as well as the recommendations and directives of the European Union, member of which became Czech Republic in 2004. Since 2000, the decline in fertility stopped, TFR reached 1.43 in 2011 and according to data for 2016, it was 1.63 children per woman.

Résumé :
Abstract The aim of the article is to confront the knowledge about the specificity of the functioning of the family system in the situation of exposure of its members to traumatic phenomena, which are undoubtedly the hostilities in Ukraine. The wave of war refugees, that we have been encountering in our country for two years, requires developing ways of helping to contain traumatic experiences, rebuilding a sense of security and restoring homeostatic mechanisms natural to the family system. Knowledge of the mechanisms that govern, regulate and order the family system can be helpful in developing a methodical approach. What can potentially hinder this type of work is, on the one hand, the accumulation of a large number of traumatic stimuli (m.in. war, refugeeism, cultural and linguistic differences, different levels of social and personal capital), and on the other hand, the fact that methods of working with post-traumatic disorders are used to work with this type of families, in a situation where trauma is an ongoing experience.

Résumé :
The pervasive sense of crisis in Japan over the falling birth rate and aging society issues is generating an active public debate about gender, the family, the organization of the workplace and the policy approaches best able to cope with these problems. This article considers explanations for demographic change, then turns to current Japanese family policy, focusing on the contradiction between formal laws and policies which aim at supporting families and informal practices which make domestic responsibilities more burdensome. It attempts to provide insight into these policies by focusing on the policy process, identifying characteristic patterns and approaches, strengths and weaknesses of the Japanese political system.

Family policy now has greater prominence in UK politics than ever before. These policies are developing in the context of major constitutional change across the UK, which has the potential for significant policy divergence. Devolution has generated greater interest in Scottish family policy, and how its policy processes have been reconfigured. New Scottish legal and policy initiatives with a family focus have emerged from both Westminster and Holyrood. This paper reviews the present context for family policy in Scotland, some recent family policy developments at both UK and Scottish levels of government, and identifies key issues these raise.

Résumé :
Abstract In 1936 Italy adopted a family allowance system which was employment-based and financed by a payroll tax. On time, the system moved in the direction of providing allowances for all families. However, since the early 1980's, a particularly significant trend has been to target family allowances towards low-income families. In more recent times, a fundamental change has been suggested towards a system closely resembling public assistance, giving more room to the income tax treatment of the family. The paper tries to advance arguments in favour of a family policy based on the combination of lump-sum child allowances (not income-tested) with progressive taxation.

Résumé :
In current conditions, a special role in strengthening family relations can be played by the state, which is interested in preserving and strengthening the institution of the family. In different countries, the state policy towards the family depends on the traditions, the legislative framework, the level of economic development and the problems that characterize the course of family life in a given state.

Résumé :
Family-friendly policy is impossible to fit all working individuals. The circumstance has been revealed in work-family literature which relationship between the policy use and the work-family conflict mitigation has been found inconsistent. Little focus is given in the past studies to ensure the human resource policy is truly useful in meeting individuals’ needs. Work, family or both work and family life could be important to individuals. The distinctive life centrality requires individuals to negotiate with the significant others who have influence on their work and family life arrangements to access and use the preferred and needed family-friendly policy. Boundary management practices seem to be useful for working individuals to reduce work-family conflict. This conceptual paper aims to propose work-family boundary negotiation to buffer the relationship of family-friendly policy use and work-family conflict. Boundary theory is the underlying theory embedded to explain the phenomena. Boundary negotiation style that could be employed for accessing the policy and managing work-family boundary effectively is identified. Future directions and implications for research on negotiation in dealing with work-family issue are discussed.
