Résumé :
This article attempts to explore working methods for developing hybrid tendencies within electroacoustic music compositions. These working methods, such as the novel concept of reconstructive sampling, are each explored with musical examples given. The article opens by giving definitions of genre, and then explores hybridisation as a concept through ideas developed by Duff (2000), Waters (2000) and Frow (2015). While the article focuses on the musical output of the author, personal compositions are placed in a broader context through the discussion of other artists within the wider field of electronic music composition.

Résumé :
Project management is very critical for any project's success regardless of its category. Various Project management methodologies are available that provide set of guidelines and standards to effectively and efficiently manage projects in the organization. Managing software development projects has faced a lot of challenges while complying with these project management methodologies. This is mainly because project management methodologies like PMBOK does not provide specific guidelines for managing software development projects. This embarks the importance of project management tailoring activities in the software development firms, to tailor these project management methodologies according to their own need. This paper will propose six most essential tailoring activities for managing software development projects. These tailoring activities will be performed on the project management body of knowledge (PMBOK).

Résumé :
Over the past few years, nutraceuticals have gained substantial attention due to the health-promoting and disease-preventing functions behind their nutritional value. The global prevalence of nutraceuticals is reflected in the increasing number of commercially available nutraceuticals and their wide range of applications. Therefore, a unique opportunity emerges for their further exploration using innovative, reliable, accurate, low cost, and high hit rate methods to design and develop next generation nutraceuticals. Towards this direction, computational techniques constitute an influential trend for academic and industrial research, providing not only the chemical tools necessary for further mechanism characterization but also the starting point for the development of novel nutraceuticals. In the present review, an overview of nutraceuticals is discussed, underscoring the crucial role of chemoinformatic platforms, chemolibraries, and in silico techniques, as well as their perspectives in the development of novel nutraceuticals. This review also aims to record the latest advances and challenges in the area of nanonutraceuticals, an innovative field that capitalizes on the assets of nanotechnology for the encapsulation of bioactive components in order to improve their release profile and therapeutic efficacy.

Résumé :
Research into the basic biology of human health and disease, as well as translational human research and clinical applications, all benefit from the growing accessibility and versatility of mass spectrometry (MS)-based proteomics. Although once limited in throughput and sensitivity, proteomic studies have quickly grown in scope and scale over the last decade due to significant advances in instrumentation, computational approaches, and bio-sample preparation. Here, we review these latest developments in MS and highlight how these techniques are used to study the mechanisms, diagnosis, and treatment of human diseases. We first describe recent groundbreaking technological advancements for MS-based proteomics, including novel data acquisition techniques and protein quantification approaches. Next, we describe innovations that enable the unprecedented depth of coverage in protein signaling and spatiotemporal protein distributions, including studies of post-translational modifications, protein turnover, and single-cell proteomics. Finally, we explore new workflows to investigate protein complexes and structures, and we present new approaches for protein–protein interaction studies and intact protein or top-down MS. While these approaches are only recently incipient, we anticipate that their use in biomedical MS proteomics research will offer actionable discoveries for the improvement of human health.

Résumé :
Test case selection is to minimize the time and effort spent on software testing in real-time practice. During software testing, software firms need techniques to finish the testing in a stipulated time while uncompromising on quality. The motto is to select a subset of test cases rather than take up all available test cases to uncover most bugs. Our proposed model in the research study effort is termed SCARF-RT, which stands for Similarity coefficient (SC), Creating Acronyms, Regression test (RT), and Fuzzy set (FS) with Dataset (DS). Clustering of test cases using ranking and also based on similarity coefficients is to be implemented. This research considered eleven different features for clustering the test cases. Two techniques have been used. Firstly, each cluster will, to a certain extent, encompass a collection of distinct traits. Depending on the coverage of the feature, a cluster of test cases might be chosen. The ranking approach was used to create these groupings. The second methodology finds similarity among test cases based on eleven features. Then, the maxmin composition is used to find fuzzy equivalences upon which clusters are formed. Most similar test cases are clustered. Test cases of every cluster are selected as a test suite. The outcomes of this research show that the selected test cases based on the proposed approaches are better than existing methodologies in selecting test cases with less duration and at the same time not compromising on quality. Both fuzzy rank-based clustering and similarity coefficient-based clustering test case selection approaches have been developed and implemented. With the help of these methods, testers may quickly choose test cases based on the suggested characteristics and complete regression testing more quickly.

Résumé :
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (BIA) is the core airport of Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macau Greater Bay Area. This study produced the noise maps of BIA during summer and winter using a simplified calculation method for the weighted equivalent continuous perceived noise level (LWECPN). Particularly, this method used open-source flight data and short-term noise measurement to replace the traditional long-term noise measurement method. The accuracy of the developed noise map was verified by the field experimental data with an average error of 1.5 dB. The noise maps were analyzed in many aspects including the area and population under different noise levels, the spatial distribution of the aircraft noise, the distribution of noise sensitive points, and the land use condition around BIA. It was manifested that about 22.22% and 25.46% of the total population of the five administrative regions were exposed to LWECPN > 70 dB during summer and winter, respectively. The total area within the noise-affected area that violated the noise limit were about 18.740 km2 and 18.109 km2 during summer and winter, respectively.

Résumé :
Abstract Community mobility is an individual’s movement outside the home. It is essential for the completion of many instrumental activities of daily living, such as shopping and healthcare, and promotes physical function, social engagement, independent living, and quality of life. Mobility research often focuses on gait speed measured in clinical settings, a critical but not sufficient determinant of community mobility. Here we present four talks that assess community mobility and its determinants using novel methodologies to enhance our understanding of how to maintain independence in older ages. First, Andrea Rosso presents characteristics of individuals with the strongest associations between environmental walkability, as assessed by virtual audits, and walking. Second, Kyle Moored demonstrates associations of self-reported fatigability with life space among older men, independent of their physical functioning. Breanna Crane introduces GPS-based objective measures of community mobility and their associations with cognitive and physical function of older adults. Finally, Pam Dunlap presents results of a randomized clinical trial of a physical therapy intervention to improve walking in older adults on subjective and objective measures of life space. These talks will provide a better understanding of the factors related to community mobility, introduce attendees to novel methodologies in the assessment of both community mobility and risk factors associated with the loss of community mobility, and demonstrate approaches to improve community mobility in at-risk older adults. The discussant, Jana Hirsch, will provide perspectives on how these data inform our current view of community mobility and will lead a discussion with the audience.
