Texte intégralThis dissertation aims to investigate the most relevant passages of Myrmedon, focusing on the analyse of a not well-known poem of Giovanni Pascoli. Moving from an overview of the theme of memory in Pascoli, linked with the motif of phylogenetic memory, the INTRODUCTION, in five chapters, reconstructs the theoretical assumptions and the artistic purposes of Myrmedon, and separates the interpretation of this poem from the exegesis of Pecudes and Canis (all this poems are part of the Ruralia). The most substantial source of Myrmedon is Virgil’s Georgics (4, 1-115; 149-280); this point has been analyzed in the fourth chapter. Finally, the introduction explains the poem’s greek title and the inscription. This section is followed by TESTO E TRADUZIONE, and then by six chapters dedicated to a close reading of the vv. 1-14 (6 PROTASI); 22-32 (7 I CARUSI SICILIANI); 33-40 (8 LA VISTA DELLE FORMICHE); 225-238 (9 SCHIAVE); 261-290, 65-75 and 223-224 (10 ANCORA SUL LESSICO DEL MYRMEDON); 301-312 (11 NOZZE). These chapters contain a specific introduction about the motives and peculiarities of the sections, and a wide commentary on: formal aspects, biographical notice, and psychological, theoretical, intertextual influences of the poem. The final chapter (ASPETTI STILISTICI E FIGURATIVI DEL MYRMEDON) analyzes some fragments of the poem clearly linked to impressionistic tendencies and to the fin de siècle decorativism (Myrm. 61-64 and 97-99). A particular attention has also been given to phonosymbolic phenomena and to the more expressive and frequent hexametric formulas. [edited by Author]

Texte intégralThe beaches of Lake Vänern in Sweden are in a stage of being overgrown by bushes, trees and reeds. Today many of the bays and channels are covered with reeds, and this is one of the main reasons for the loss of species around the beaches of Lake Vänern. Causes that may be affecting, for example, increased nitrogen deposition, increased amounts of ground deposited agricultural nitrogen, reduced maintenance in the form of grazing or mowing, and also the fact that the water levels are being regulated in the lake which reduces the natural fluctuations that may otherwise contribute to a more open beach environment. Many species are dependent of an open sunlit area for their survival and amongst them is the small antlion (Myrmeleon bore), who can serve as an indicator species for the biodiversity of an area. The purpose of this report is to provide a frame of what factors in nature that favors small antlion. This is to possibly provide a basis for further work on the restoration of the shores of Lake Vänern and surrounding land. The small antlion prefers dry, well sunlit sand slopes, where it can be found somewhat uphill from the shoreline. The inventory of larvae of small antlion on beaches were made using line transects with 2 meter intervals, from where the conical traps built by the antlions where counted. The environment variables that were measured in the survey in order to see a possible link with the presence of small antlion was tree density, cardinal on the beach, distance to another beach with the presence of small myrlejonslända, grain size, the slope of the beach, proportion exposed sand on the beach, proportion of vegetation on the beach and the presence of pine in the beach area. The analysis shows that the most important explanatory factor for the occurrence of small antlions is proximity to another beach where there are small antlions. As explanations for variations in the density of small antlions, slope of the beach was number one followed by the proportion of bare sand on the beach.

They are located in the body cavity. They are either free or inserted in the rectum wall, forming an arrangement known as the cryptonephridial system. The Malpighian tubules may have morphologically different regions, with each one formed by a specific cell type. Secondary specializations are found in Malpighian tubules, in which a region of the tube may be involved in the production of some substances, while other regions are responsible for other products. This is what occurs in cases of certain species of the order Neuroptera, which utilize tubules to produce cocoon silk thread during the last larva stage. The cells of Malpighian tubules of Myrmeleon sp undergo endoreduplication during the species' larval development, and they become highly polyplodic in the last larvae stage. However, this increased ploidy does not establish itself in all parts of the tubule, but only in select regions, which suggests that only some parts of the tubule undergo these modifications for silk production while the other regions of the tubule are still used for basic functions of osmoregulation. In this study, the following cytochemical techniques were used: Toluidine Blue, Xylidine Ponceau, Impregnation by AgNOR and the molecular cytogenetic technique called Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH). These techniques allowed us to see alterations on both the cellular and cytoplasmic levels. These alterations were evidence of an increase in synthesis of the substances secreted by specific cell types during the course of larval development. Ultrastructural analyses were also performed...
