Résumé :
In this paper, we calculated the supersymmetric contributions to the branching ratios and CP-violating asymmetries of the four B→Kπ decays in both the general and the constrained minimal supergravity (mSUGRA) model. Within the considered parameter space, we found that (a) the phase ϕμin the general mSUGRA model is strongly constrained by the data of the electron and neutron electric dipole moment and the data of B→Xsγ decay: ϕμ<0.1 (<10-3) for the case of small (large) tan β, but no limit on the phase ϕAcan be derived from the above data; (b) in both the general and the constrained mSUGRA model, the SUSY contributions are not large enough to explain the observed B→Kπ puzzle.

Résumé :
This study provides a brief overview of low energy supersymmetry (SUSY) in light of current experimental constraints, such as collider searches, dark matter searches, and muon g−2 measurements. In addition, we survey a variety of low energy supersymmetric models: the phenomenological minimal supersymmetric model (MSSM); the supersymmetric models with cut-off-scale boundary conditions, i.e., the minimal supergravity (mSUGRA) or the constrained MSSM (CMSSM), the gauge mediation of SUSY breaking (GMSB), and the anomaly mediation of SUSY breaking (AMSB), as well as their extensions. The conclusion is that the low energy SUSY can survive all current experimental constraints and remains compelling, albeit suffering from a slight fine-tuning problem. The advanced models such as mSUGRA, GMSB, and AMSB need to be extended if the muon g−2 anomaly comes from new physics.

Résumé :
No-scale supergravity is a framework where it is possible to naturally explain radiative electroweak symmetry breaking and correlate it with the effective SUSY breaking scale. Many string compactifications have a classical no-scale structure, resulting in a one-parameter model (OPM) for the supersymmetry breaking soft terms, which results in a highly constrained subset of mSUGRA. We investigate the allowed supersymmetry parameter space for a generic one-parameter model taking into account the most recent experimental constraints. We also survey the possible signatures which may be observable at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Finally, we compare collider signatures of OPM to those from a model with non-universal soft terms, in particular those of an intersecting D6-brane model.

Résumé :
The process of stop-chargino production at LHC has been calculated in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model at the complete electroweak one-loop level, assuming a mSUGRA symmetry breaking scheme. Several properties of the angular and invariant mass distributions of the basic [Formula: see text] amplitudes have been derived. For a meaningful collection of different benchmark points the overall electroweak one-loop effects are at most of the order of a few percent. At the realistically expected LHC accuracy, the main supersymmetric electroweak features of the process can be therefore essentially derived in this theoretical scheme from the simple Born level expressions.

Résumé :
In the context of the minimal supersymmetric seesaw model, the CP-violating neutrino Yukawa couplings might induce an electron electric dipole moment (EDM). The same interactions may also be responsible for the generation of the observed baryon asymmetry of the universe via leptogenesis. In the framework of mSUGRA, we identify in a model-independent way those patterns within the seesaw models which predict, barring unnatural cancelations, an electron EDM at a level probed by planned laboratory experiments and show that negative searches on τ→eγ decay may provide the strongest upper bound on the electron EDM. We also conclude that a possible future detection of the electron EDM is incompatible with thermal leptogenesis, even when flavor effects are accounted for.

Résumé :
Constraints on dark matter from the first CMS and ATLAS SUSY searches are investigated. It is shown that within the minimal supergravity model, the early search for supersymmetry at the LHC has depleted a large portion of the signature space in dark matter direct detection experiments. In particular, the prospects for detecting signals of dark matter in the XENON and CDMS experiments are significantly affected in the low neutralino mass region. Here the relic density of dark matter typically arises from slepton coannihilations in the early universe. In contrast, it is found that the CMS and ATLAS analyses leave untouched the Higgs pole and the Hyperbolic Branch/Focus Point regions, which are now being probed by the most recent XENON results. Analysis is also done for supergravity models with non-universal soft breaking where one finds that a part of the dark matter signature space depleted by the CMS and ATLAS cuts in the minimal SUGRA case is repopulated. Thus, observation of dark matter in the LHC depleted region of minimal supergravity may indicate non-universalities in soft breaking.

Gravity, itself a gauge theory of a spin 2 field, can be extended to a higher spin gauge theory on AdS spaces. Recently, Gaberdiel and Gopakumar conjectured that a large N limit of a 2d minimal model is dual to a bosonic subsector of a higher spin supergravity theory on 3d AdS space. We propose and test the untruncated supersymmetric version of this conjecture where the dual CFT is a large N limit of the [Formula: see text] CP N Kazama-Suzuki model.

We propose a discrete model whose continuum limit reproduces the string susceptibility and the scaling dimensions of (2, 4m) minimal superconformal models coupled to 2D supergravity. The basic assumption in our presentation is a set of super-Virasoro constraints imposed on the partition function. We recover the Neveu-Schwarz and Ramond sectors of the theory, and we are also able to evaluate all planar loop correlation functions in the continuum limit. We find evidence to identify the integrable hierarchy of nonlinear equations describing the double scaling limit as a supersymmetric generalization of KP studied by Rabin.

Résumé :
General forms of the Kähler and superpotenials that lead to consistent low energy broken Supersymmetry originating from N[Formula: see text]=[Formula: see text]1 Supergravity have been classified and used for model building since more than three decades. We point out the incompleteness of this classification when hidden sector vacuum expectation values are of the order of the Planck mass. Focusing in this paper mainly on the case of minimal Kähler potential, we adopt a rigorous approach that retrieves on the one hand the known forms, and demonstrate on the other hand the existence of a whole set of new forms for the superpotential of which we give a complete classification. The latter forms involve a new type of chiral superfields having the unusual property of belonging neither to the hidden sector nor to the conventional observable sector. Comparing the obtained forms with the conventional ones, we argue how new possibilities for model building can arise, and discuss the gravity mediation of soft as well as additional hard (but parametrically small) Supersymmetry breaking, in the presence of the new type of chiral superfields. In the simplest case, we study the vacuum structure, characterize the masses and couplings of the scalar components to the hidden and observable sectors and discuss briefly the physical role they could play. In the generic case, we estimate the magnitude and possible consequences of the hard breaking of Supersymmetry in terms of the interplay between hidden and visible sector mass scales.

Résumé :
We examine the Higgs sector of the minimal supersymmetric extension of the standard model. The requirement of perturbative unification combined with the recent LEP data on Higgs boson searches, excludes substantial regions of parameter space. We find that only 0.42 ≤ tan β≲0.76 and tan β≳1.30 are the allowed values for tan β=υ2/υ1. We also determine the absolute lower bound on the lightest Higgs mass to be ≈8 GeV. We conclude that improved lower bounds on the top quark mass and/or the standard model Higgs boson mass will impose yet more stringent constraints on the model. These results clearly favor tan β>1, in agreement with N=1 supergravity or superstring-inspired models.

Résumé :
Abstract Defining a scale of k-modes of the quantum fluctuations during inflation through the dynamical horizon crossing condition k = aH we go from the physical t variable to k variable and solve the equations of cosmological first-order perturbations self consistently, with the chaotic α-attractor type potentials. This enables us to study the behaviour of ns , r, nt and N in the k-space. Comparison of our results in the low-k regime with the Planck data puts constraints on the values of the α parameter through microscopic calculations. Recent studies had already put model-dependent constraints on the values of α through the hyperbolic geometry of a Poincaré disk: consistent with both the maximal supergravity model 𝒩 = 8 and the minimal supergravity model 𝒩 = 1, the constraints on the values of α are 1/3, 2/3, 1, 4/3, 5/3, 2, 7/3. The minimal 𝒩 = 1 supersymmetric cosmological models with B-mode targets, derived from these supergravity models, predicted the values of r between 10-2 and 10-3. Both in the E-model and the T-model potentials, we have obtained, in our calculations, the values of r in this range for all the constrained values of α stated above, within 68% CL. Moreover, we have calculated r for some other possible values of α both in low-α limit, using the formula r = 12α/N 2, and in the high-α limit, using the formula r = 4n/N, for n = 2 and 4. With all such values of α, our calculated results match with the Planck-2018 data with 68% or near 95% CL.

The classical (1,0) superparticle in a curved superspace is considered. The minimal set of constraints to be imposed on the background for correct inclusion of interaction is found. The most general form of Siegel-type local fermionic symmetry is presented. Gauge algebra of the model is shown to be closed off-shell (by means of adding one trivial symmetry) and deformed as compared to the flat one. The form and algebraic structure of local symmetries of the theory are shown not to be deformed (in comparing with the flat case) in the (1,0) supergravity background only.

We also make useful comparisons with results that already exist in literature, and introduce the fake supergravity (first-order) formalism to be used in our analysis. An analysis of the BPS bound all along the non-BPS attractor flows and of the marginal stability of corresponding D-brane charge configurations has also been presented.

Résumé :
We review the models unifying inflation and Primordial Black Hole (PBH) formation, which are based on the modified (Starobinsky-type) supergravity. We begin with the basic (Starobinsky) inflationary model of modified gravity and its alpha-attractor-type generalizations for PBH production, and recall how all those single-field models can be embedded into the minimal supergravity. Then, we focus on the effective two-field models arising from the modified (Starobinsky-type) supergravity and compare them to the single-field models under review. Those two-field models describe double inflation whose first stage is driven by Starobinsky’s scalaron and whose second stage is driven by another scalar belonging to the supergravity multiplet. The power spectra are numerically computed, and it is found that the ultra-slow-roll regime gives rise to the enhancement (peak) in the scalar power spectrum leading to an efficient PBH formation. The resulting PBH masses and their density fraction (as part of dark matter) are found to be in agreement with cosmological observations. The PBH-induced gravitational waves, if any, are shown to be detectable by the ground-based and space-based gravitational interferometers under construction.

Résumé :
Introduction/purpose: Supersymmetry is a symmetry of the Lagrangian that goes beyond Lie groups. It allows the exchange of bosons and fermions. The most important model is the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, or MSSM. Methods: Supercharge algebra, superfields, Grassmann numbers, Berezin integral. Results: Supersymmetric transformations are global, they do not depend on spacetime coordinates. In the case of Supergravity, they are local. Conclusion: Supersymmetric models, and MSSM in particular, could describe more physics and more particles beyond the Standard Model.

Résumé :
The Batalin-Vilkovisky quantization technique is used to provide a manifestly Lorentz covariant quantization of the σ-model describing the D=4 heterotic Green-Schwarz superstring propagating in a background superpsace consisting of minimal supergravity “entangled” with a tensor multiplet. The ultraviolet finiteness properties of the one-loop effective action are shown to be identical to those obtained earlier using a manifestly non-covariant gauge-fixing condition.

Résumé :
We examine whether the unification constraints on the Yukawa couplings and on the Higgs masses in the minimal supersymmetric Standard Model can be consistent with the observed mass pattern of the third generation fermions. The effects of the QCD interaction and the SU(2)R breaking owing to the U(1) Y gauge interaction and the absence of ντR are crucial. We observe that the parameter choice of “no-scale” supergravity is favored and the SUSY breaking scale has a lower bound, in order for the top quark to be much heavier than the bottom quark.

Résumé :
Supersymmetry is perhaps most effectively probed at the Tevatron through production and decay of weak gauginos. Most of the analyses of weak gaugino observables require electrons or muons in the final state. However it is possible that the gauginos will decay primarily to τ leptons, thus complicating the search for supersymmetry. The motivating reasons for high τ multiplicity final states are discussed in three approaches to supersymmetry model building: minimal supergravity, minimal gauge mediated supersymmetry, and more minimal supersymmetry. The concept of "e/μ/τ candidate" is introduced, and an observable with three e/μ/τ candidates is defined in analog to the trilepton observable. The maximum mass reach for supersymmetry is then estimated when gaugino decays to τ leptons have full branching fraction.
