Résumé :
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to first outline the central thrust of two currently non-convergent but intrinsically related streams of research – urban management and destination management – and explore the links between them. Both require an approach which coordinates and integrates multiple actors and functions in dynamic settings. Design/methodology/approach – The paper then analyses empirical examples from three New Zealand cities to illustrate relationships between destination management and urban management in practice. Findings – These cases show that without being labelled as such, quite a lot of activity takes place which reflects dimensions of both destination management and urban management, especially in terms of integration and coordination. This raises questions of just what constitutes destination management, a series of discrete ad hoc actions or some broader vision and framework. Originality/value – Empirical evidence from the three New Zealand cities shows that, with the exception of Dunedin, destination management is not a term or a concept that is explicitly used there. Nevertheless, without being labelled as such, in practice there is quite a lot of activity taking place which reflects dimensions of both destination management and urban management, especially in terms of integration and coordination.

This paper proposes the idea of Distributed Energy Resource (DER) management, in light of dynamic bunching of energy assets for better coordination of free market activity. An audit on load profiling and estimating components is given which to be used in building information, required for nearby and worldwide coordination. To stay away from substantial scale complexities, a decentralized control approach with Multi Agent Negotiation Framework (MANF) is conveyed. An audit on MANF innovations and their application in power framework is displayed. With MANF we give a system to planning maker, shopper and group specialists. These specialists additionally negotiate Service Level Agreements for overseeing free market activity and ideally using the energy assets.

Résumé :
This study aims to determine how the coordination of regional disaster management agencies in providing logistics and equipment for disaster management in Gunung Mas district, Central Kalimantan province, from the elements of time management, synchronization, shared interests, and common goals in coordination. The method used in this research is qualitative. Data collection techniques are by using interviews, observation, and documentation study. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out through three activity streams which were an interrelated unit, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the research, it found that the coordination carried out by the Regional Disaster Management Agency in the provision of logistics and equipment from the aspects of time management and timeliness, synchronization, shared interests, and common goals have been well-coordinated by the system. Pattern as well as the applicable provisions, namely when pre-disaster, emergency response, and post-disaster, the only obstacle in this coordination is different lines of command or different work units among other related agencies. This research concludes that the coordination of the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Gunung Mas Regency in the provision of logistics and equipment for disaster management in Gunung Mas Regency has been well-coordinated according to the existing system and the prevailing patterns and regulations. These obstacles in coordination are greatly influenced by the lack of understanding from other relevant agencies regarding their duties, powers and responsibilities for disaster management. The next inhibiting factor is that the service/agency/other institution does not have a hierarchical relationship (line of command) due to different work units, resulting in less than optimal coordination.

Résumé :
This article investigates managerial work in relation to the managerial function ‘coordination’. The work and efforts of managers have been assumed to be central to preparing coordination by both the managerial work and coordination literature; however, none of these have thus far clarified exactly what managers do in coordination as it unfolds. This article adds to the literature by accounting for a study investigating of what the managerial practice of coordination consists. For this purpose, we adopt a practice theory-based approach to managerial work and relate the managerial function ‘coordination’ to the daily doings and sayings of a manager, to the overall activity and context of the organization. We empirically study the instrumental case of the skipper and crew of a racing sailboat. We show that, and how, managerial work is pivotal in situ to coordination as it occurs through sustaining circulation among coordination mechanisms and combinations of these mechanisms. We also contribute to the managerial work literature by putting forward rhythmicity and the temporal engagement of the skipper within the ongoing flow of activity.

Résumé :
Physical activity (PA) has been identified as an essential tool for the prevention and management of multi-morbidity in patients. Coordination of patients’ care through interventions like physical activity referral schemes (PARS) could foster the utilization of PA. This study explored the views of General Practitioners (GPs) and Exercise Physiologists (EPs) as key stakeholders, for optimizing patient care and efficiency of PARS. Sequential explanatory mixed methods design was used to explore the perceptions of these health professionals on PA and coordination strategies for PARS patient care. Data analyses included descriptive and inferential statistics for questionnaires and theoretical framework analysis for the semi-structured interviews. Participants demonstrated a good knowledge of PA and valued PARS. However, the findings unravelled external factors, inter-organisational mechanisms, and relational coordination obstacles that hinder efficient coordination of PARS patient care and delay/limit beneficial health outcomes for patients. Incentivising the PARS initiative and empowering patients to seek referral into the programme, are strategies that could boost PARS efficiency. Improving inter-professional relationships between GPs and EPs could lead to enhanced PARS functionality and efficient coordination of care for patients with chronic diseases.

Résumé :
The article examines the powers of public administration subjects through the system of free legal aid. It was established that public administration is performed by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and the Coordination Center. The place of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in the management system of the free legal aid system is characterized. It has been proven that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine possesses general managerial competence, which is manifested in the rule-making and organizational-regulatory powers regarding the system of providing free legal aid. The article establishes that the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine carries out general management of the system of free legal aid, at the same time exercising organizational, law-making and normative, coordination and advisory powers in the system of ensuring the right to free legal aid. Special attention was paid to the powers of the Coordination Center, which is a special management body and exercises powers of an organizational, coordinating, expert-analytical, informational, and controlling nature. It was concluded that public administration through the system of free legal aid is a purposeful activity of authorized subjects aimed at ensuring the right to free legal aid. The system of entities that carry out public administration is characterized by the following immanent features: first, it includes the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and the Coordination Center; secondly, in contrast to other systems of public administration, it is not extensive; thirdly, it includes subjects possessing general and special management competence; fourthly, the sphere of social relations in relation to which public administration is carried out is specific and includes a positive obligation of the state to ensure the right to free legal aid.

This article argues that active coordination of research engagement after disasters has the potential to maximize research opportunities, improve research quality, increase end-user engagement, and manage escalating research activity to mitigate the ethical risks posed to impacted populations. We focus on the coordination of research activity after the 22 February 2011 Mw6.2 Christchurch earthquake by the then newly formed national research consortium, the Natural Hazards Research Platform, which included a social science research moratorium during the declared state of national emergency. Decisions defining this organization's functional and structural parameters are analyzed to identify lessons concerning the need for systematic approaches to the management of post-disaster research, in collaboration with the response effort. Other lessons include the importance of involving an existing, broadly based research consortium, ensuring that this consortium's coordination role is fully integrated into emergency management structures, and ensuring that all aspects of decision-making processes are transparent and easily accessed.

Résumé :
IntroductionThe European Network for Health Technology Assessment (EUnetHTA) facilitates and produces Health Technology Assessments (HTA) across Europe. Project Management (PM) provides the coordination and strategic overview of assessment production and enables the flow of scientific knowledge and assessment publications through collaboration and standardized processes, procedures and documentation.MethodsEUnetHTA established a central PM function at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for HTA (LBI-HTA) for central coordination and assessment production of non-pharmaceutical technologies. LBI-HTA subsequently pursued capability and capacity through a decentralized hub-and-spoke-PM model with six activity centers (AC) providing decentralized coordination and PM of assessments. LBI-HTA provided central oversight and supervision with training days, e-meetings and ad hoc e-mail and telephone support as required. This was complemented by standardized operating procedures (SOPs) in the online Companion Guide (CG). A qualitative data collection via electronic questionnaires collected feedback from AC-PM, LBI-HTA-PM and assessment authors. Specific questions with free-text responses assessed current experiences, challenges, recommendations, communication and task distributions of the centralized and decentralized PM processes from these different perspectives.ResultsThe feedback concluded that PM is a separate, well-defined and important role for assessment coordination and production. The AC-PM received adequate training from the central PM and authors experienced no difference between projects managed centrally or decentrally. The CG and SOPs are important for guiding standard practice and allowing AC-PM to operate independently. Challenges were around extended timelines due to complex topics, external stakeholder involvement, insufficient team communication and not yet published SOPs resulting in additional central support.ConclusionsDecentralized coordination of assessments, knowledge management and governance achieve scale, capacity and capability through a designated pool of agencies with established roles and growing experience in sustainable collaboration of HTA production. Valuable insight into the PM model's operational efficiency, avoidance of duplication and resource savings potentially provides a sustainable post 2020 European network policy and efficiency model for high quality HTA assessment production.

Résumé :
Abstract. The article identifies the features of financial management in international economic activity in terms of limiting economic relations associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. It is clear that the current state of the economy requires the spread of international economic activity at both macro and micro levels, as only provided that the integrated system of economic relations between the national economies of different countries and the benefits of international cooperation, it is possible to avoid economic and social problems associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. It is noted that Ukraine’s active participation in world economic processes requires economy. In turn, the transformation processes in Ukraine require a clear coordination of actions in all areas and parts of the financial system, which is the conceptual basis of a new model of economic and social development of the state. Such a model should combine the constant improvement of the welfare of society and every citizen and the formation of a competitive national economy in Ukraine, which would be organically integrated into global economic processes and take a worthy place in them. It is determined that Ukraine’s international economic activity has a very great potential in the development of economic relations, despite the existing problems, the solution of which is the key to future success in the development of trade in the international market. A SWOT-analysis of Ukraine’s international economic activity was conducted, which revealed trends in the development of foreign economic activity. The financial mechanism of development of the international economic activity (IEC) which is an element of management and the regulator of foreign economic relations is offered. The concept of IEC financial management is proposed, which substantiates the purpose and main tasks, which are specified at the micro and macro levels. It is concluded that many problems of financial management in international economic activity should be addressed primarily at the macro level, i.e. public institutions. Résumé :
Introduction For telemonitoring to support care coordination, a sound business model is conditional. The aim of this study is to explore the systemic and economic differences in care coordination via business-to-business and business-to-consumer models for telemonitoring patients with chronic diseases. Methods We performed a literature search in order to design the business-to-business and business-to-consumer telemonitoring models, and to assess the design elements and themes by applying the activity system theory, and describe the transaction costs in each model. The design elements are content, structure, and governance, while the design themes are novelty, lock-in, complementarities, and efficiency. In the transaction cost analysis, we looked into all the elements of a transaction in both models. Results Care coordination in the business-to-business model is designed to be organized between the places of activity, rather than the participants in the activity. The design of the business-to-business model creates a firm lock-in but for a limited time. In the business-to-consumer model, the interdependencies are to be found between the persons in the care process and not between the places of care. The differences between the models were found in both the design elements and the design themes. Discussion Care coordination in the business-to-business and business-to-consumer models for telemonitoring chronic diseases differs in principle in terms of design elements and design themes. Based on the theoretical models, the transaction costs could potentially be lower in the business-to-consumer model than in the business-to-business, which could be a promoting economic principle for the implementation of telemonitoring.

Résumé :
Currently, there is still a strong trend in research and in the market connected with the role of 3PL (third-party logistics) companies and the trend of developing and creating coordination in logistics networks. The most important issue for the following paper is the examination of the 3PL enterprise, which is able to create the demand forecasts to gain the functions of logistics coordination in the fields of inventory management and transportation planning. This research paper focuses on showing the demand forecasting tool results for 29 chosen distribution networks (in this paper, the traditional forecasting methods were used based on time series exponential smoothing, ARIMA, machine learning and neural-network-based methods, created in the R programming environment). In the next steps, the forecasting results were compared in the conditions of transportation planning and inventory management (in the conditions of “future” dynamic ABC analysis). The forecasting function supports the inventory management and transportation planning activity of 3PL as a key element of logistics coordination in distribution networks. The proper way to transfer the results of forecasting to an ABC analysis and transportation planning concept is to create a cloud-based system supported by data from the WMS (warehouse management system), while providing the possibility of results visualization by using some BI (business intelligence) solutions or different tools to create managerial information dashboards. Currently, one of the most efficient models connected with logistics coordination is the centralized network with 3PL responsible for planning and executing logistics processes with the creation of additional value. As such, 3PL is able to create a similar forecast for different types of DN and with different aggregations (per SKU or per recipient). It could support coordination in DN from the point of view of inventory management and transportation planning.

Résumé :
The paper aims to analyse how the management science literature explains sustainable coordination and management of Information Technology (IT) outsourcing chains. The IT outsourcing theories,—that is, transaction cost theory, theory of agency, resource based view, activity based theory, contractual theory, partnership and alliance theory and stakeholder theory—are applied as a background to the analysis. A systematic literature review reveals that IT outsourcing is developed in collaborative networks and chains. There are some mechanisms identified in the literature for outsourcing chains’ management, interchain sustainability, coordination and interchain activities’ cohesion. The complexity of outsourcing relationships presented among outsourcers and outsourcees stimulate looking for new business models. Furthermore, outsourcing chains research would benefit from considering strategy-based theoretical discussions, relationship modelling and project management. Résumé :
Abstract The integration of user-centered design (UCD) activities into agile information systems development has become more popular recently. Despite the fact that there are many ways the merging of UCD activities into agile development can be carried out, it has been widely recognized that coordinating design activities with development activities is one of the most common problems, especially in distributed environments where designers, developers and users are spread over several sites. The main approach to coordinate UCD activities with distributed agile development is the use of informal methods (e.g. communication through using video conference tools). In addition to the temporal, geographical and socio-cultural barriers associated with this type of methods, a major limitation is a lack of awareness of how UCD activities and development activities affect each other. Furthermore, some agile project management tools are integrated with design platforms but fail to provide the necessary coordination that helps team members understand how the design and development activities affect their daily work. This research aims to support the effective management of integrating UCD activities into distributed agile development by (i) identifying the key activity dependencies between UX design teams and development teams during distributed UCD/agile development and (ii) designing a computer-based system to provide coordination support through managing these activity dependencies. In order to achieve these objectives, two case studies are carried out. Our findings revealed 10 main dependencies between UCD design teams and development teams as shown by six types of activity. In addition, the participatory design approach shows that developing a computer-based system to manage seven of these selected dependencies is achievable.

Résumé :
Objective Substantiation of marketing and logistics approaches to the formation of logistics flows of tourism enterprises. Methodos. Marketing activity in the market of tourist services forms a system of continuous coordination of the offered services with the services that are in demand in the market. Marketing management at a tourist enterprise includes planning of marketing activities, selection and application of marketing strategies, development and selection of alternative strategies, effective organization of marketing activities and its control. Results The peculiarity of tourism logistics as a service sector is to determine the flow of tourists and the distribution of requirements. This is due to the fact that travel refers to those types of services in which the consumer moves to the producer, and not the producer with his goods ? to the consumer. Management of a tourist enterprise is a rather complex process that requires the development of logistics systems to optimize economic flows, which has a significant impact on the financial results of the company. Scientific novelty. The peculiarity of tourism logistics as a service sector is to determine the flow of tourists and the distribution of requirements. This is due to the fact that travel refers to those types of services in which the consumer moves to the producer, and not the producer with his goods ? to the consumer. The management system in a travel agency that uses a logistics approach is aimed at forming an integrated approach that creates a real opportunity to combine functional areas of logistics by coordinating actions performed by independent parts of the logistics system. Practical significance The main flows in the logistics systems of the tourism industry are the tourist flow, as well as the flow of tourist services, which are caused by the availability of solvent needs of potential consumers (tourists); all other flows that arise in the logistics system of enterprises (material, information, financial, etc.) only provide these flows. As for the tourist flow, it is provided by providing transport and related services. The combination of marketing activities in the formation of logistics tourist flows determines the competitive vector of the tourism industry. Introduction:Located in the Pacific Ring of Fire, Indonesia is prone to natural hazards, such as earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, and volcanic activity. Management in the health sector is a necessary foundation for dealing with a disaster. Management lessons and essential experiences identified from disasters are often forgotten. The faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing Universitas Gadjah Mada has been developing disaster health management since 2009 after Padang Earthquake, followed by Merapi Volcano Eruption (2009), Pidie Jaya Earthquake (2016), and Lombok Earthquake (2018). The latest series of earthquakes that struck Central Sulawesi has revealed management problems with respect to the communication process, the development of coordination, and information and data synchronization.Aim:To show the importance of effective management in a health cluster, including what went well, what went poorly, and what will happen from the acute phase until the transition phase. Methods:Disaster health management implementation was compared from Padang to the Central Sulawesi’ earthquake. Then health cluster management was compared in Lombok and Central Sulawesi. Indicators were coordination, communication, data information, and organization.Discussion:There has been good progress for disaster health management in Indonesia. The health cluster approach makes coordination, data collected, and communication much easier. However, it also needs to focus on disaster planning, training, or simulation for the district health office while enhancing district response capacity. Although the challenges have changed in the last few decades, additional research is planned to limit management difficulties in the health cluster.

One of the functions of the primary care/family physician in case management is as a care coordinator/coordinator of the patient’s management1. McDonald defines a care coordinator as a patient’s management activity in healthcare that involves two or more participants (including patients) to improve the quality of health services. The definition emphasizes the need for collaboration between doctors and various parties including patients, families, and other health workers in managing health problems2. This paper emphasizes coordination and collaboration between health workers and families, which aims to increase knowledge and perceptions of families and communities to prevent malnutrition events such as failure to thrive, or obesity in children in the management of the first 1000 days of life.Management of the first 1000 days of life and growth and development monitoring needs doctors who motivate as well as parenting guidance to be able for caring and feeding the baby, as well as directly monitor the growth and development of their children. Many perceptions and stigmas develop in community can affect parenting parents towards their children. Accordingly, the function of the family physician is expected to have the ability as a care coordinator to support the successful management of the first 1000 days of life. This service requires collaboration between doctors and other healthcare professionals. This is in line with a spirit of partnership and cross-sector cooperation3. Primary care/family physician responsible for providing health services sustainably and comprehensively to individuals, families, and the community, in collaboration with other health workers. Primary care/family physicians manage various resources for the benefit of patients and families. Health services in primary care services provide primary to tertiary prevention services4, which doctors cannot do alone. Primary care/family physician is not only responsible for primary prevention and screening, however, must also be prepared to manage health problems in the first 1000 days of life, growth, and development, including facilitating referral and reconciliation. This responsibility proves the importance of collaboration practice in primary care services.

Résumé :
e18310 Background: Cancer care is complex, requiring multidisciplinary care over time and settings. Our implementation strategy for participation in CMS’ Oncology Care Model included the development of a new care management program to provide elderly patients with cancer support and continuity between inpatient and outpatient care with the goal of reducing acute care utilization. With no published models of care coordination in cancer, we launched this program using nurses experience to risk stratify and manage the needs of nearly 2500 patients. To optimize their work, we sought to understand the activity breakdown of their working time and to identify areas that can be managed more efficiently. Methods: Care coordinators are nurses responsible for completing the Institute of Medicine (IOM) care plan, stratifying patients by risk and comorbidity and administering weekly symptom assessment scales to those at high risk for disease and treatment complications. We created, pilot tested and refined a data collection tool that care coordinators could self-report the time they spent in activities of direct and indirect patient care. We performed a desk audit to measure the amount of time that oncology care coordinators spend on various activities and to explore differences in academic center versus care center care coordinators. A total of seven care coordinators self-reported activity specific time for 5 working days. Data were analyzed to assess variation in the proportion of activity time by care coordinator, site of care and day of the week using anova and t-test for the difference in mean activity time. Results: Care coordinators spent the majority of their time in indirect patient care (58%) with the highest percentage of their time specifically on charting/documentation (28%) while only 42% of their time included activities that were direct patient care. We observed no significant difference in the proportion of time spent in direct versus indirect patient care across care coordinators (p = 0.47, day of the week (p = 0.35) or by location of care (p = 0.68). Conclusions: A minority of care coordinators time is spent on providing direct patient care and substantial time is spent on indirect activities including charting and documentation. The efficiency of the care coordination model may be improved by transferring tasks that do not require the clinical expertise of these nurses.

The article is devoted to study the factors of knowledge sharing in managing the cross-functional teams of Russian companies within innovative development. The goal of the paper was to analyze the influence of individual, organizational, and managerial factors on the activity of cross-functional team members in knowledge sharing. Based on the results of the survey among 259 participants of cross-functional teams, the econometric assessment was done to determine that intrinsic motivation as an individual factor makes sense asa moderator for exolaining the relationship between organizational, managerial factors and activity of participants in knowledge sharing. As a result of the analysis of the management factorsthe most favorable mechanism of coordination for knowledge exchange was mutual coordination. It was implemented through informal communication and it was based on understanding of roles, degree of responsibility and sense of belonging by the team members. It was also revealed that organizational factors, including the system of incentives, have little influence on the activity of participants in knowledge sharing. The findings can be the basis for appropriate choosing the cross-functional team management tools for innovative development.

Résumé :
Increased reclamation activity has adversely affected the conservation of coastal environments. The interactions between reclamation activities and their interference with the natural and functional properties of coastal zones increase the difficulty of marine spatial planning and eco-environmental management. In this study, an evaluation method for describing the intensity of the reclamation activity (RAI) based on regional planning theory and human–marine coordination theory was proposed, and a quantitative evaluation index system was constructed. The method was applied to Shandong Province in China via geographic information system (GIS) spatial analysis. The results reveal that there was an obvious increase in the RAI from 1974 to 2021, with the total reclamation scale index and coordination of reclamation activities index being the most prominent. In addition, it was found that 2007–2017 was the peak period of infilling reclamation in Shandong Province. The natural coastlines are mainly occupied by enclosed mariculture and saltern, which should be strictly managed. The proposed index system can effectively identify the spatiotemporal characteristics of the reclamation intensity and can be used to efficiently determine management priorities. It provides a theoretical basis for regional reclamation management and can be conveniently adopted by management departments for coastal environmental protection.

The CapBasED-AMS (Capability-based and Event-driven Activity Management System) deals with the management and execution of activities. A Problem Solving Agent (PSA) is a human, or a hardware system, or a software system having an ability to execute activities. An activity consists of multiple inter-dependent tasks that need to be coordinated, scheduled and executed by a set of PSAs. Since security is essential and integral part of activities, the activity management system has to manage and execute the activities in a secure way. In the CapBasED-AMS, threats, such as, unauthorized access or modification are identified as events. In this paper, we develop a logical framework for security enforcement in CapBasED-AMS by taking into consideration the system infrastructure, secure match-making under security constraints, security policies and secure PSA, the task coordination model for security enforcement during activity execution.

Empirical evidence is based on a detailed observation of a successful open-source project — the K Desktop Environment (KDE). Our findings show that successful collaboration is based on coat-tailing systems. Coat-tailing means to inextricably bind together individual action and collective activity through careful design of complexes of technological, mental and cultural artefacts.

Résumé :
The coordination of a social event requires a number of time-bounded tasks (exact time, location, activities of the event) to be determined prior to the event. On university campuses, Facebook is increasingly used to organize ad hoc physical gatherings within social groups. The coordination takes place via Facebook event pages and a ‘wall’ that represent online, shared, interactive spaces. This paper explores how such online interactive spaces facilitate the temporal coordination of social events. We content analyze Facebook's event pages and walls to understand how social group behavior is different from prevailing theories of group task progress and media use. The results suggest that, similar to many work groups, social groups exhibit differential interactive behaviors before and after the midpoint of when the event is created on Facebook and when the offline activity is going to happen. However, the results differ in the sense that the interactive behavior is highest before rather than after the midpoint. We also found that the involvement of the creator of the event pages is associated with higher interactive behavior of the social group. We discuss the findings and derive implications for the design of online tools for social event management.

Résumé :
To neutralize the danger associated with business management there is a special security service in the management system of successful companies the structure of which depends on the nature and scale of the business. A medium-sized security service consists of four structural divisions: 1. Security; 2. Operative; 3. Analytical; 4. Technical. In each, depending on the specifics of the activity , up to 1 or 10 employees can be employed. Every business has its general and specific challenges. The main challenge still comes from direct competitors. Rivalry often transcends civilized boundaries and escalates into physical or other confrontation, especially if there is a new "player" in the segment. In the advanced countries of the West, in addition to state security institutions, there are private detective and detective organizations, news agencies, studying scientific and consulting centers, which provide various services on a fee-for-service basis. Coordination of state law enforcement agencies and private security structures is sophisticated. There is created a special body, if necessary and it harmonizes their activities. It would be nice to transfer this practice to Georgian conditions.

ObjectiveThe Care-coordination Approach to Learning Lupus Self-Management (CALLS) study was designed to improve SLE disease self-management. This study aims to assess the benefits of the intervention compared with existing lupus care.MethodsParticipants were randomly assigned to participate in 12-weekly phone sessions with the patient navigator that included structured educational content, care coordination and patient-centred support services, or a usual care control condition. Validated measures of health literacy, self-efficacy, patient activation and disease activity were collected. We used least squares means and linear mixed-effects regression models for each outcome variable to assess the changes in outcome, from baseline to postintervention and to estimate the difference in these changes between the intervention and control group.ResultsThirty participants were enrolled and 14 were randomised to the treatment group. For perceived lupus self-efficacy, there was a significant increase in mean score for the intervention group, but not for the control group. With regard to disease activity, the experimental group experienced a slight decrease in mean flare score in the previous 3 months, whereas the control group experienced a slight increase, but this finding did not reach statistical significance. Trends were similar in self-reported global disease activity, but none of the findings were significant. Health literacy and patient activation measure scores remained largely unchanged throughout the study for the two groups.ConclusionThese findings suggest that the CALLS intervention may work to improve aspects of SLE disease self-management. Future research will be needed to validate these findings long-term.Trial registration numberNCT04400240.

Résumé :
Prefabrication is considered as a modern method of construction, transferring part of on-site work into factories and generating a new decoupling point in supply chain. Management of prefabricated component (PC) suppliers plays a key role in the performance of prefabricated construction project (PCP). Evaluating and improving supplier management maturity (SMM) become critical issues for large contractors. Previous research on PCP supply chain mainly focused on technology, process and performance aspects, while paying little attention to supplier relationship management. This study proposes an assessment criteria system of supplier management from five dimensions, including procurement process, operation efficiency, relationship coordination and strategy alignment and corporate social responsibility. A maturity grid with five levels is designed to present continuous improvement of supplier management. 34 large PCP construction firms listed in contractor directory were investigated in China through semi-structured interview and questionnaire survey. Independent two-samples t-test and one-way analysis of variance were adopted to explore SMM of different groups according to business scope, procurement method and construction experience. The results indicate that the overall maturity level of supplier management is relatively low, implying that supply activity cannot achieve inter-organization integration. Management on relationship coordination and strategy alignment lag behind procurement management and operation efficiency. Single business contractors have higher SMM than diversified ones. Contractors integrated in engineering, procurement and construction are superior to design-bid-build contractors in supplier management, especially in relationship coordination and strategic alignment. Construction experience is conductive to supplier operation efficiency. Noticeably, there are no statistically significant differences in the performance of corporate social responsibility among different groups. These results will contribute to developing a benchmark framework for contractors to evaluate SMM and achieve continuous improvements in PCP.

Résumé :
35 Background: Medical comorbidities pose challenges to the delivery of quality cancer care. Underserved cancer patients have the highest burden of chronic comorbidities, with increased risk for worse outcomes. Their health outcomes and care transitions might be improved by enhancing collaboration between oncologists and primary care providers (PCPs). Methods: This is a cross-sectional study of oncologists and PCPs in a large public safety-net hospital system in Houston, TX. Providers completed electronic surveys assessing demographics, attitudes, and satisfaction regarding the shared care of cancer patients with chronic comorbidities. Results: Eighteen oncologists (39% minority, 72% female) and 25 PCPs (23% minority, 77% female) completed the surveys. Independent samples t-tests revealed both oncologists and PCPs reported moderate levels of interprofessional collaboration, felt that existing processes to facilitate coordination of care were inadequate, and expressed moderate levels of dissatisfaction with the management of cancer patients with comorbidities within HHS (all p-values = n.s.). However, their attitudes toward care coordination differed significantly depending on the nature and timing of the care being provided. With regard to side effect management during cancer-directed therapy, 81% of PCPs preferred to co-manage side effects with oncologists, but 100% of oncologists preferred to be responsible for this activity (χ2= 23.08, p <.001). With regard to management of late-effects of cancer treatment, 40% of oncologists were either interested in co-managing late effects with PCPs or having PCPs be solely responsible for this activity. Conversely, 86% of PCPs preferred to co-manage late effects with oncologists (χ2= 26.74, p <.001). For cancer surveillance, oncologists and PCPs expressed interest in sharing responsibility depending on the patient’s risk for recurrence (χ2= 1.62, p =.30). Conclusions: Oncologists and PCPs were similarly dissatisfied with comorbidity management in cancer patients, but differed in their attitudes towards care coordination. Oncologists were more resistant to sharing responsibilities of toxicities during and after treatment. They were more accepting of PCPs assuming follow-up care for lower-risk patients. Further investigation is needed to determine specific areas of care coordination, barriers to provider collaboration, and knowledge and processes for effective shared care.

Résumé :
This study focuses on the role of dynamic and ambivalent competence among factors affecting sustainable supply chain activity and its performance creation process. Sustainable supply chain management should pursue economic, environmental, and social activities simultaneously, and decision making such as coordination and resource allocation among these activities is inevitably important. Therefore, this study examines the role of dynamic and ambivalence capacities of adjustment and resource allocation among various factors affecting sustainable supply chain management, and conducts an empirical analysis focusing on the process of performance creation between purchasers and customers. Accordingly, a survey was conducted on those in charge of managing supply chain management in a company, and 296 valid questionnaires were analyzed to verify the research hypothesis. The analysis revealed that both dynamic and ambivalent competences have a positive effect on the economic, environmental, and social activities of sustainable supply chain management. Conversely, economic and social activities have a positive effect on both supplier and purchasing company performance, whereas environmental activities do not have any effect. Furthermore, the result of suppliers through sustainable supply chain activity was confirmed to have a positive effect on the performance of the purchaser. The findings are meaningful in that they present theoretical grounds for the importance of coordination and resource allocation among the three main aspects that constitute sustainable supply chain activities and empirically suggest that dynamic and ambivalent capabilities can serve as a significant preceding factor in creating results.
