Résumé :
In recent years, the number of studies covering mindfulness, self-compassion practices, progressive relaxation, meditation and other self-help therapies or therapeutic interventions has grown rapidly. The vast interest in the field has caused fragmentation in methodological approaches and theoretical models, as well as a diffuse use of terminology, which makes it challenging to compare and critically evaluate the results of various studies. The purpose of this article is to collect and analyze the main trends and conclusions of theoretical and practical research devoted to self-help practices in recent years (2012-2017). The strategy in source selection was the following: a) researching the PsychArticles section of ProQuest database; b) main search criterion: Subject ("Self-Help Techniques"); c) additional search criteria: time of publication; peer-reviewed articles. For further analysis a research question was raised: what research topics appear in these sources and how are they elaborated? To answer it a narrative content analysis approach was used. As a result, five most significant research topics, which show an overview of latest tendencies in the research of self-help practices, were identified.

Résumé :
Claims that the self and experience in general are narrative in structure are increasingly common, but it is not always clear what such claims come down to. In this paper, I argue that if the view is to be distinctive, the element of narrativity must be taken as literally as possible. If we do so, and explore the consequences of thinking about our selves and our lives in this manner, we shall see that the narrative view fundamentally confusues art and life. We learn from art itself that our selves and lives transcend narratives and that thinking in a narrative manner ignores the rich complexity of individual persons.

Résumé :
Abstract: Curing is one of the most important factors for achieving maximum desirable strength in concrete, concrete should be cured properly so that it is fully hydrated and loss of moisture inside the concrete should be reduced. The most regularly and abundantly used construction material is concrete because of its superior compressive strength and stability. The curing involves in retaining adequate moisture content from the time of placing the concrete until final stage, at that point of time the concrete develops the satisfied properties by promoting optimum cement hydration immediately after placement. Water soluble alcohols for instance Poly Vinyl Alcohol (PVA), Poly Ethylene Glycol (PEG), and Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) are feasible as selfcuring agents in concrete. The Self Curing is an “internal curing system” in which a Hydrophilic material such as Polyethylene Glycol, Paraffin wax or Acrylic acid, the polymer that is soluble in water is allowed to mix in the prepared concrete. The calcium lignosulfonate (CLS) having water solubility 98% to 98.5% has been used as self-curing agent in different percentage (0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4%, and 0.5%). The use of polyethylene glycol in conventional concrete as an admixture helps better hydration and hence the strength of concrete. Polyethylene glycol 400 in the order of 0, 0.5%, 1% &1.5 % by weight of cement for M 30 grade of concrete and river sand is replaced by M sand in the ratio of 30%, 40% & 50%. As well as Poly vinyl alcohol has been added to concrete by weight of cement at the dosage of 0%, 1%, 1.1%, 1.2%, 1.3% 1.4%, 1.5%, 1.6% and then the mechanical properties of concrete were tested such as compressive and split tensile strength. The ratio of water to binding material (w/b) of reference concrete mixture (PC) was fixed to 0.38. S01, S02 and S03 mean the volumes of SAP are 0.1%, 0.2% and 0.3% of cementitious materials, respectively. We consider that poly ethylene glycol in concrete which helps in self-curing and helps in better hydration and hence strength.

Résumé :
To maximize student learning, teachers intentionally exhibit certain behaviors to build interpersonal relationships with students. One of the behaviors that teachers incorporate in their teaching to clarify and improve students’ understanding of the course content is self-disclosure. However, when it is used inappropriately, it may damage student learning opportunities. Thus, the purpose of this research was to establish the state of the art on teacher self-disclosure through a systematic review of the existing literature, establishing itseffect on the teaching-learning process. A bibliographic search was carried out in different national and international databases, selecting 39 scientific articles for the revision, published between 1982 and 2019, that met the established inclusion criteria. Regarding the effect of teacher self-disclosure on the teaching-learning process, 6 categories weredetermined: cognitive learning, affective learning, academic motivation, participation and interest, teacher-student out-of-class communication and perceptions and evaluations of the teacher, including in each of them the main results of the articles included in the analysis. Based on the obtained results, it is highlighted the need that, in order to promote student learning, teacher self-disclosure must be moderate, relevant and positive.

Résumé :
The article discusses the comparatively young form of written Romani literary self-expression as an example of “minor literature” in Deleuze and Guattari’s sense.[1] The focus here is on producing a classifying survey of the literary production of Romani writers in France and Spain, with the article outlining the different aesthetic fields and literary forms evident in French and Spanish Romani literature. The comparative approach reveals thatdespite regional and national differences, these minor literatures demonstrate several aesthetic similarities typical of Romani literature that could ultimately come to define the transnational, cross-border characteristics of Romani literature. Furthermore, I show that there are literary tendencies in contemporary Romani literatures that go beyond the usual forms of establishing literary self-expression in diasporic cultural productions or aesthetic appropriation of major society’s literary traditions, so that Romani literatures in French and Spanish should, I argue, also be seen as part of world literature. 1 It is important to emphasize that the potentially offending implications of the evaluative use of the term “minor” is by no means hinted at in Deleuze and Guattari: The French “literature mineure” does not indicate lower aesthetic qualities or literary inferiority to majority literature but rather describes a literature produced by writers not (exclusively) belonging to the nation-state in which they live. At the same time, it should be mentioned that the term “small literature,” in contrast to minor literatures, means literary expressions from small nations or/and in small languages like, for example, in Bulgarian, Estonian, or Luxembourgish (cf., Glesener 2012).

Résumé :
Self-esteem corresponds to a feeling of personal worth and self-respect, considering a positive or negative evaluation of oneself, while self-concept is attributed a descriptive and evaluative character, the first being related to self-image and the second to self-esteem. In order to build healthy self-esteem, the involvement of family members and school staff is strictly necessary, in order to provide a safe and motivating environment for children and adolescents. Thus, this article has the general objective of understanding the processes of building self-esteem, self-concept and self-image during child development, through the influences of the environment and affective relationships between the people with whom the child lives. The study is a review of narrative literature, through publications/articles in the following databases: Scientific Electronic Library (SCIELO), Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS) and Virtual Health Library (BVS). Studies have shown the importance of developing a positive self-concept to have a good quality of life. For that, the relationships that the individual establishes in the family, in the school, in his social environment are fundamental for the formation of the self-concept.

The article aims at highlighting the uniqueness of thinking and academic activity of Donatas Sauka, who for many years was a professor at the Department of Lithuanian Literature of Vilnius University. The article reveals his scholarly ambitions – broad interests, good knowledge of classic Western literature, and an attempt to keep the achievements of natural sciences on the horizon of humanities. However, he harboured artistic and poetic inclinations in his nature; he has translated a number of classical texts required for his research. The philological interests of the professor were permeated by self-reflection. Comparative literature science was his field of research – even though his other interests also competed for his attention, he analysed methodological issues, different scopes of national literatures and paradoxes of literary analysis. He also raised an essential question for comparison – from what and how are clusters of literary identity formed; how they are related to the mental history and language of a nation; how creative incentives are formed and how they operate.

Résumé :
The article is devoted to personality intercourse between writer and reader in Belles-Lettres. The intercourse between the self of the writer and the self of the reader realizes itself in the processes of writing and reading belles-lettres texts that serve as specific mediators between the two selfs. The article shows the free and personal nature of the intercourse. In the article, the author singles out and gives descriptions of stages/levels of involvement into belles-lettres personality intercourse. The author distinguishes five conventional stages: superficial or shallow stage, contradiction or conflict stage, identity or emotional stage, transcendental stage and supersensitive stage. Degree of openness of selfs to each other and degree of willingness on the part of the participants to express their own selfs serve as criteria of separating one stage from another. Degree of openness of selfs to each other is represented as a degree of the reader's openness to the writer's influence. While degree of willingness to express one's own self is perceived as a degree of the writer's or reader's readiness to reveal their self. The author argues that at each stage of intercourse its participants demonstrate a different degree of their involvement into it, which leads to misinterpretations of texts on the part of the reader and on the whole to misunderstanding between the reader and writer. The reader's transition from one stage to another can have a gradual character. However, the reader's transition to the writer's stage of intercourse can also be instantaneous, which depends on the reader's individual ability of perception as well as the writer's skill. The author of the article comes to the conclusion that understanding or misunderstanding between writer and reader as well as different interpretations of the writer's belles-lettres work by the reader lie at different stages in a degree of the reader's involvement into the intercourse suggested to him/her by the writer. In cases when both parties find themselves at one and the same stage of personal involvement the intercourse between them results in agreement of the written text and its interpretation by the reader. Thus, the writer acquires their readership while the reader discovers the writer who responds to his/her individuality.

This article provides a review of literature on entrepreneurial skills acquisition, self employment and mediating variables in the relationship. Salient among these variables are social influence and self motivation. The study utilized qualitative research design. In so doing, over fifty relevant literatures on the subject were espoused in order of relevance to the study. After examining several articles in the literature, we were left in a paradox. Entrepreneurial skills acquisition was found to influence self employment in most of the articles reviewed, but in limited cases, some studies found that entrepreneurial skills acquisition does not guarantee self employment. Several social and psychological factors were proffered as mediators in the relationship between entrepreneurial skills acquisition and self employment. The study thus recommends entrepreneurial skills training mix that incorporates relevant environmental variables that inhibits skills acquisition from resulting to self employment

Abstract This essay offers a novel framework for the definition of biblical wisdom as a genre by suggesting self-presentation as a key to understanding the genre’s dynamics. By framing the material as sapiential, the authors/editors provide a hermeneutical tool for readers, based on a set of shared conventions. Forming the scarlet thread of the genre, this »self-identification« is »thickened« by a set of fluid features – many of which are related to the labile conventions associated with the wise. This spinal cord links later works to the tradition even when expectations change.

A primary aim of root canal treatment is to completely clean and shape the root canal system. Various instruments are available for endodontic instrumentation. Although rotary systems do prepare many canals without major procedural errors, they do not address canal types with long-oval or flat cross sections. A newly developed self-adjusting file (SAF) was designed to address the shortcomings of traditional rotary files by adjusting itself to the canal cross section. This instrument consists of a compressible opened NiTi tube that, on placement into a root canal, will exert pressure against the canal Wall. The SAF is used in an in-and-out motion powered by a handpiece and under constant irrigation. The aim of this review was to describe instrument design, usage parameters and features of Self Adjusting File. How to cite this article: Adıgüzel Ö. A Literature Review of Self Adjusting File. Résumé :
The treatise is an investigation into the construction of character and understanding of subjectivity in general as it appears in the literature of writers associated with the Avant-Pop movement. As a movement, the Avant-Pop emerges at the beginning of the 1990’s – the time of substantial social, cultural and economic changes conditioning deeper changes of basic Geistesgeschichte paradigms marking the rise of a new, postmodern era. This article on the one hand examines the paradigm of subjectivity by discussing examples from Avant-Pop literary production in the light of prevailing theoretical opinions and speculations on postmodernity, and – on the other hand – connects the findings to broader social, cultural and technological aspects of contemporary living.

Résumé :
This paper presents the state of the art of self-etch adhesive systems. Four topics are shown in this review and included: the historic of this category of bonding agents, bonding mechanism, characteristics/properties and the formation of acid-base resistant zone at enamel/dentin-adhesive interfaces. Also, advantages regarding etch-and-rinse systems and classifications of self-etch adhesive systems according to the number of steps and acidity are addressed. Finally, issues like the potential durability and clinical importance are discussed. Self-etch adhesive systems are promising materials because they are easy to use, bond chemically to tooth structure and maintain the dentin hydroxyapatite, which is important for the durability of the bonding.
