Résumé :
Given their vital role in the homeostasis of the limbal stem cell niche, limbal melanocytes have emerged as promising candidates for tissue engineering applications. This study aimed to isolate and characterize a population of melanocyte precursors in the limbal stroma, compared with melanocytes originating from the limbal epithelium, using magnetic-activated cell sorting (MACS) with positive (CD117/c-Kit microbeads) or negative (CD326/EpCAM or anti-fibroblast microbeads) selection approaches. Both approaches enabled fast and easy isolation and cultivation of pure limbal epithelial and stromal melanocyte populations, which differed in phenotype and gene expression, but exhibited similar functional properties regarding proliferative potential, pigmentation, and support of clonal growth of limbal epithelial stem/progenitor cells (LEPCs). In both melanocyte populations, limbus-specific matrix (laminin 511-E8) and soluble factors (LEPC-derived conditioned medium) stimulated melanocyte adhesion, dendrite formation, melanogenesis, and expression of genes involved in UV protection and immune regulation. The findings provided not only a novel protocol for the enrichment of pure melanocyte populations from limbal tissue applying easy-to-use MACS technology, but also identified a population of stromal melanocyte precursors, which may serve as a reservoir for the replacement of damaged epithelial melanocytes and an alternative resource for tissue engineering applications.

Résumé :
Population of Soil Nematodes in The Treatment of Brassicaceae Plant Waste Brassicaceae plants are known to contain glucosinolates which can be hydrolyzed into biofumigant compounds. This research was conducted to examine the effect of biofumigant derived from Brassicaceae plants waste on soil nematode population dynamics. Greenhouse experiment was carried out on 4 types of Brassicaceae plants waste, consisting of leaf waste of radish (Raphanus sativus), broccoli (Brassica oleracea var. italica), cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata), and whole parts kamanilan weed (Roripa indica) in polybags containing 5 L of nematode infested soil. Plant waste was chopped ± 1 cm in size, then as much as 117 g per polybag was mixed in nematode infested soil, doused with water until wet and tightly closed for the biofumigation process for 14 days. At the end of biofumigation step, the polybags were opened for 3-5 days, then 7 day - old cucumber seedlings of var. Roberto 92 were planted and the plants were maintained in greenhouse for up to 8 weeks. Observation of the type and population of soil nematodes was carried out three times, i.e. before treatment, after treatment, and 8 weeks after planting. This experiment was designed in a completely randomized design with 6 treatments and 5 replications. The results of the study showed that the population of free-living nematodes (bacteriovorous nematodes and fungivorous nematodes) was increased in all treatment of Brassicaceae plants waste. On the other hand, there was a significant decrease in the phytonematodes population in the treatment of broccoli leaf waste. All Brassicaceae wastes was able to suppress population of Helicotylenchus sp., Rotylenchulus sp., and Xiphinema sp., significantly. Leaf waste of broccoli leaves showed the highest inhibition value against all phytonematodes genera with inhibition reached 100%.

Résumé :
The fate decision of limbal epithelial progenitor cells (LEPC) at the human corneal limbus is determined by the surrounding microenvironment with limbal niche cells (LNC) as one of its essential components. Research on freshly isolated LNC which mainly include limbal mesenchymal stromal cells (LMSC) and limbal melanocytes (LM) has been hampered by a lack of efficient protocols to isolate and purify these cells. We devised a protocol for rapid retrieval of pure LMSC, LM and LEPC populations by collagenase digestion of limbal tissue and subsequent fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) using antibodies against CD90 and CD117. The sorted cells were characterized by immunophenotyping and functional assays. The effects of LMSC and LM on LEPC were studied in 3D co-cultures and LEPC differentiation status was assessed by immunohistochemistry. Enzymatic digestion and flow sorting yielded pure populations of LMSC (CD117−CD90+), LM (CD117+CD90−), and LEPC (CD117−CD90−). The LMSC exhibited self-renewal capacity (55.0 ± 4.6 population doublings), expressed mesenchymal stem cell markers (CD73, CD90, CD105, and CD44), and transdifferentiated to adipocytes, osteocytes, or chondrocytes. The LM exhibited self-renewal capacity and sustained melanin production. The sorted LEPC expressed epithelial progenitor markers (CK14, CK19, and CK15) and showed a colony-forming ability. Co-cultivation of LMSC and LM with LEPC resulted in a 4–5-layered stratified epithelium and supported the preservation of a LEPC phenotype, as reflected by increased p63+ and Ki67+ cells and decreased CK12+ cells compared with LEPC monocultures. A highly efficient isolation of pure LM, LMSC, and LEPC populations from a single preparation may allow for direct transcriptomic and proteomic profiling as well as functional studies on native unpassaged LNC, which can be considered as proper equivalents of LNC in vivo. The developed biomimetic 3D co-culture method could provide an experimental model for investigating the functional role of LNC in the limbal stem cell niche.

Résumé :
Introduction: Acute central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) afflicts young middle-aged males in the Western population. We aimed to analyse patient demographics and to determine the angiographic characteristics of acute CSCR in an Asian population. Materials and Methods: This is a retrospective study of all patients presenting with acute CSCR who had fundal fluorescein angiograms performed within a 4-year period (between 1 January 1998 and 31 December 2001). Results: The fluorescein angiograms of 128 patients were analysed. The majority were male (109/128) with a male-to-female ratio of 5.7:1. The age range of patients was 26 to 60 years, with a mean age of 41 years. The majority of patients (84%) were aged 30 to 50 years. With regard to racial distribution, 83% were Chinese, 6% were Malays and 11% were Indians or of other races. Unilateral disease was found in 74 patients (58%) and 52 had bilateral disease. The macula was the most common site of fluorescein leakage and was found in 97 patients (76%). Almost half the patients (44%) had more than one site of disease involvement (i.e., multifocal). The inkblot leakage pattern was found in 103 patients (80%). Conclusions: The patient demographics of acute CSCR in our population were compared to that reported in the West. The gender ratio was similar, with males being afflicted 6 to 10 times more compared to females. There was no racial predilection found for acute CSCR in the local population. We also found a significant proportion of patients with bilateral and multifocal disease compared to the West. The inkblot pattern of leakage was the most common pattern seen on angiography. There were a significant number of cases with bilateral and multifocal involvement, exceeding those reported in non-Asian populations. Résumé :
AbstractPhenology, fecundity, development, and mortality were studied for co-occurring, declining populations of Dendroctonus ponderosae Hopkins in limber pine and lodgepole pine at two sites in the Porcupine Hills of southwestern Alberta in 1985–1986. Beetles reared in lodgepole pine emerged and attacked new hosts 7–8 days earlier than those in limber pine in 1985. Beetles were able to utilize over two-thirds of the length of each limber pine bole but only about one-third of the length of each lodgepole pine bole. Also, beetles infesting limber pine had significantly higher fecundity, produced more eggs per centimetre of gallery length, and their progeny developed faster and survived better than beetles infesting lodgepole pine. There was no apparent phenological or other barrier that might inhibit gene flow between D. ponderosae populations in limber pine and lodgepole pine. In the area studied, limber pine was a better host for D. ponderosae reproduction, development, and survival than was lodgepole pine. Thus, beetle populations may be able to increase much more quickly in limber pine, arguing for regular monitoring of these populations.

Résumé :
This paper aims to examine the regulation of land use by the Limboto Lake community. This study uses an empirical juridical approach. The study results show that the regulation of land rights, especially land along the banks, has been regulated by the government and local governments, starting from laws and regulations, regional regulations, and other decisions. The existence of laws and regulations has given legitimacy to the state, in this case, the government, regarding the control and utilization of the land on the banks of the lake because the state legally owns the land on Lake Limboto. However, the fact is that the land on the banks of the lake has changed its function to become a community settlement. , making it difficult to carry out an inventory of the surrounding population. In order to prevent mismanagement or management that is not based on the rule of law, it is necessary to have clear and accurate boundaries regarding the allotment of areas/zones for various interests so that there is no overlap between the government and the land agency, considering that some community lands already have land rights (land certificate). Thus, an alternative solution to save the lake is establishing a zoning system.

Résumé :
AbstractObjectiveTo analyse associations between brain morphology and longitudinal and cross-sectional measures of outcomes in schizophrenia in a general population sample.MethodsThe sample was the Northern Finland 1966 Birth Cohort. In 1999–2001, structural brain MRI and measures of clinical and functional outcomes were analysed for 54 individuals with schizophrenia around the age of 34. Sex, total grey matter, duration of illness and the use of antipsychotic medication were used as covariates.ResultsAfter controlling for multiple covariates, increased density of the left limbic area was associated with less hospitalisations and increased total white matter volume with being in remission. Higher density of left frontal grey matter was associated with not being on a disability pension and higher density of the left frontal lobe and left limbic area were related to better functioning. Higher density of the left limbic area was associated with better longitudinal course of illness.ConclusionsThis study, based on unselected general population data, long follow-up and an extensive database, confirms findings of previous studies, that morphological abnormalities in several brain structures are associated with outcome. The difference in brain morphology in patients with good and poor outcomes may reflect separable aetiologies and developmental trajectories in schizophrenia.

Abstract This qualitative study, based on interviews and participant observation, is an effort to understand the religious identities of Turkish Shi'is (Ja'faris) living in Igdir by examining their rituals, their social and cultural lives, and their relations with Iran. The local population of Igdir consists of Shi'i Turks and Sunni Kurds. While the Turkish Shi'is living in the region meet on common ground with the majority of the country with their ethnic identities, they differ in their religious identities. It is possible to see these differences in the sociocultural life of the city, its religious rituals, and its multifaceted relations with Iran, the center of Shi'ism. The results of this research, which spanned a long period and included people from different parts of society, may constitute a basis for the further discussion of some points about the Ja'faris living in Igdir.

Résumé :
Limbal melanocytes (LMs) are found in the corneoscleral limbus basal epithelial layer and interact with neighboring limbal epithelial progenitor cells. The difficulty of isolating and cultivating LMs is due to the small fraction of LMs in the overall limbal population and the frequent contamination of primary cultures by other cell types. This has limited the research on freshly isolated LMs and the investigation of their biological significance in the maintenance of the limbal stem cell niche. Here, we describe an optimized protocol for the efficient isolation and expansion of LMs from cadaveric corneal limbal tissue using CD90 and CD117 as selective markers in fluorescence-activated cell sorting to obtain a pure population of LMs (CD90− CD117+) with self-renewal capacity and sustained melanin production. The isolation of pure LMs from a single preparation enables direct transcriptomic and proteomic analyses, as well as functional studies on freshly isolated LMs, which can be considered the proper counterparts of LMs in vivo and have potential applications in tissue engineering.

Résumé :
Limboto Lake is one of the lakes in Indonesia which is increasingly degraded due to uncontrolled sedimentation rates and aquatic plant populations, causing siltation. This study seeks to identify the ecotourism potential in Limboto Lake with a supply and demand approach. It applied questionnaires distribution, observation, and literature study method, while the analysis used is scoring and descriptive. Based on findings, Limboto Lake possesses supply aspects, including tourist attractions, facilities, accessibility, and community. For tourist attractions, there are a variety of lake activities that can be turned into ecotourism attractions, as well as the biodiversity of flora and fauna, art, and culture. In addition, the tourist facilities are still minim, which requires supporting facilities such as public toilets, homestays, information boards, and parking. Further, demand potential includes the characteristics, motivation, and tourists’ desires/demands. The tourists are dominated by women, and domestic tourists, with frequent visits. The main activity for a visit is lake boating, and the most preferred object is the natural scenery. Information about the potential for ecotourism with conservation principles can be one way to support efforts to save Limboto Lake.

Résumé :
The success of cultivation is influenced by several aspects, one of which is the natural food in the hatchery or fish larvae phase. One type of natural feed that is suitable for fish larvae is silk worms (Tubifex sp.). But the availability of silk worms is still very limited, so further culture is needed. This study aims to determine the effect of PUN-11 enrichment with mustard greens waste on the growth of silkworm populations. The design used in this study was a comparative design consisting of 2 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments used were P1 (PUN = 11%) and P2 (PUN = 11%) + mustard greens waste (10%). The results showed that the highest population of silk worms (Tubifex sp.) was obtained in treatment P2 (PUN: 11 90% + mustard greens waste 10%), which was 3105 ind/cm2, and the lowest number of silk worms was in treatment P1 (PUN: 11 100%), which is 2868 ind/cm2. The results showed that the T test showed that P2 had a significantly different effect (P > 0.05) on the silkworm population growth.

Résumé :
There are 83 paper mills in Indonesia recorded by the Indonesian Pulp and Paper Association (APKI) spread throughout the archipelago. These paper companies produce products in the form of tissues, various types of paper, and other fiber-based products. Efforts to meet the needs of this raw material produce innovations in the form of using waste paper by separating the ink from the fibers contained in the paper, this separation process is known as the deinking process. Paper mill solid waste can be in the form of sludge, pith, and biosludge. Sludge is a factory solid waste originating from the settling of WWTP which consists of 90% solid and 10% liquid. Paper mill waste in the form of solid waste from sludge contains heavy metals such as Cd, Cr, Pb, Ni, Cu, and Zn. These metals can be overcome by bioremediation using guano fertilizer which is an organic material derived from bat droppings which is rich in phosphate. The purpose of this study was to determine the microbial population in soil contaminated with paper mill sludge waste treated with guano fertilizer. The parameters observed in this study were the total number of bacteria and fungi that survive in soil contaminated with paper mill waste as an indication that the land can still be planted with certain plants. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Soil Biology, Laboratory of Soil and Land Fertility Agrotechnopark – Faculty of Agriculture – University of Jember. This study used a 3x3 two factorial experimental design with the basic pattern of Randomized Block Design (RAK), namely between the concentration of paper mill effluent and the dose of guano fertilizer, each treatment was repeated three times. The microbial population can be determined by analyzing total bacteria, total fungi. Soil that had been contaminated with paper mill waste was incubated with guano fertilizer, each combination was analyzed at 15 hst and 30 hst for total bacterial and total fungal populations. During the incubation period, irrigation was carried out using a sprayer to maintain moisture in the incubation media. The results showed that the total population of bacteria and fungi in the growing media contaminated with paper mill sludge waste by administering different doses of guano showed results that were not significantly different, but the total population tended to increase. with increasing incubation period. Pollution of sludge waste in the planting medium has a significant effect on increasing the total Fungi Population when compared to the control. The relationship between paper mill effluent pollution and guano fertilization is very low with a coefficient of determination of less than 0.5.

Résumé :
Limbal stem cells constitute an important cell population required for regeneration of the corneal epithelium. If insults to limbal stem cells or their niche are sufficiently severe, a disease known as limbal stem cell deficiency occurs. In the absence of functioning limbal stem cells, vision-compromising conjunctivalization of the corneal epithelium occurs, leading to opacification, inflammation, neovascularization, and chronic scarring. Limbal stem cell transplantation is the standard treatment for unilateral cases of limbal stem cell deficiency, but bilateral cases require allogeneic transplantation. Herein we review the current therapeutic utilization of limbal stem cells. We also describe several limbal stem cell markers that impact their phenotype and function and discuss the possibility of modulating limbal stem cells and other sources of stem cells to facilitate the development of novel therapeutic interventions. We finally consider several hurdles for widespread adoption of these proposed methodologies and discuss how they can be overcome to realize vision-restoring interventions.

Résumé :
Limber pine, Pinus flexilis E. James, a wide-ranging tree species in western North America, is highly susceptible to white pine blister rust (WPBR), caused by the non-native fungal pathogen Cronartium ribicola J.C. Fisch. The Canadian populations in particular have been heavily impacted, and in 2014, limber pine was designated endangered in Canada by the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC). Little is known about genetic resistance to WPBR in limber pine, but major gene resistance (MGR) has been characterized in some populations in the United States. This study examines resistance in seedling families from 13 parent trees from British Columbia, Alberta, and Oregon, representing the northern- and northwestern-most populations. Most families were susceptible, with 100% of the seedlings cankered, but one family from Alberta segregated 1:1 for cankered and canker free. This is the first report of (a) MGR in Canada of any of the four species of five-needle pines native to Canada and (b) any resistance in limber pine in Canadian populations and is the northernmost known incidence of putative R-gene resistance in a natural stand of any five-needle pine species. Many of the Canadian selections were from stands with high incidence of WPBR infection, and their high susceptibility in this trial suggests that further infection and mortality is likely in the Canadian populations.

Résumé :
Head direction (HD) cells fire as a function of the animal’s directional heading and provide the animal with a sense of direction. In rodents, these neurons are located primarily within the limbic system, but small populations of HD cells are found in two extralimbic areas: the medial precentral cortex (PrCM) and dorsal striatum (DS). HD cell activity in these structures could be driven by output from the limbic HD circuit or generated intrinsically. We examined these possibilities by recording the activity of PrCM and DS neurons in control rats and in rats with anterodorsal thalamic nucleus (ADN) lesions, a manipulation that disrupts the limbic HD signal. HD cells in the PrCM and DS of control animals displayed characteristics similar to those of limbic HD cells, and these extralimbic HD signals were eliminated in animals with complete ADN lesions, suggesting that the PrCM and DS HD signals are conveyed from the limbic HD circuit. Angular head velocity cells recorded in the PrCM and DS were unaffected by ADN lesions. Next, we determined if the PrCM and DS convey necessary self-motion signals to the limbic HD circuit. Limbic HD cell activity recorded in the ADN remained intact following combined lesions of the PrCM and DS. Collectively, these experiments reveal a unidirectional functional relationship between the limbic HD circuit and the PrCM and DS; the limbic system generates the HD signal and transmits it to the PrCM and DS, but these extralimbic areas do not provide critical input or feedback to limbic HD cells. NEW & NOTEWORTHY Head direction (HD) cells have been extensively studied within the limbic system. The lesion and recording experiments reported here examined two relatively understudied populations of HD cells located outside of the canonical limbic HD circuit in the medial precentral cortex and dorsal striatum. We found that HD cell activity in these two extralimbic areas is driven by output from the limbic HD circuit, revealing that HD cell circuitry functionally extends beyond the limbic system.

Résumé :
Since the 2004 Orange Revolution, Ukrainian media have provided a number of Russian journalists an alternative place to continue their career, whether they were looking for a comparatively free and pluralistic media space, a new job, or safety. The number of Russian media professionals in Ukraine increased in the subsequent years. Euromaidan and the annexation of Crimea in 2014, followed by Russia’s military intervention in Donbas, have contributed to decisions to move or extend their stay in Ukraine. However, these events have also complicated the position of Russian journalists in Ukraine. This paper seeks to explore the challenges connected with being a Russian journalist and working in Ukraine-based media during Russia’s hybrid war against Ukraine. This population of migrant media workers has arrived from an aggressor country, where mainstream media have been producing manipulative anti-Ukrainian discourse. They are diverse in terms of social backgrounds and migration histories, but mostly are qualified and experienced professionals. They do not form a tightly knit migrant community, and do not work for media outlets targeting such a community. This article addresses the experiences of a number of these media personalities, drawing upon a series of interviews conducted in late 2015, and open source materials. I argue that the Maidan, the annexation of Crimea, and the ongoing conflict have had a significant impact on Russian migrant journalists in Ukraine, by providing a migration context, influencing their work ethics and making them particularly sensitive to the ideas of responsibility and journalistic subjectivity.

Résumé :
Durian lahung (Durio dulcis) is one of the germplasm of Kalimantan which is becoming rare. One method of propagation with the advantage of obtaining lots of seeds, simultaneously and free from pests is through in vitro technique. One of the obstacles encountered in this process in the laboratory is the use of large amounts of aquades (distilled water), so alternative water is needed with almost the same characteristics so that it does not interfere the growth of explants, namely AC wastewater. The aim of this research is to compare the growth results of Lahung durian explants in a second subculture medium using AC wastewater which is unused waste with distilled water. The experimental design uses the t test by comparing 2 independent populations. The sample consists of a population from subculture result on media with an AC wastewater source and a population on distilled water. Each population consists of 10 replications and each replication consists of 5 bottles, so there are 100 planting bottles. The observations were made on the variables of contamination percentage (%), life percentage (%), browning percentage (%), number of roots, number of shoots, number of leaves, number of plumules, and shoot height. The results of the observations at 6 weeks after subculture showed that the explants from both treatments did not experience contamination, browning, and root growth, and 100% of the explants were alive. Meanwhile, the number of leaves, the number of plumules, shoots, nodes and shoot height were not significantly different between the two treatments.

Résumé :
We examined genetic differentiation among seven populations of limber pine using four classes of gene marker. Among-population differentiation was much higher for maternally inherited mitochondrial DNA polymorphisms than for paternally inherited chloroplast DNA, indicating that wind-dispersed pollen is the main agent of gene flow. Chloroplast DNA differentiation is consistent with gene flow estimated in a prior paternity analysis. Using the estimates of seed and pollen flow derived from mtDNA and cpDNA differentiation, we predicted the value of Fst expected at nuclear loci. Allelic frequency differentiation at seven allozyme loci was relatively homogeneous across loci and consistent with the level of differentiation predicted from the organellar haplotypes. By contrast four of the nine randomly applied polymorphic DNA (RAPD) markers we examined were more strongly differentiated than this prediction, suggesting the action of diversifying selection. However, the differentiated RAPDs and mtDNA were concordant in dividing the populations into two groups, suggesting some historical division. Simulations show that such historical division can increase the interlocus variance in Fst but neither a historical nor an equilibrium model could account for the joint distribution of Fst estimates across both allozyme and RAPD loci. Thus at least one group of loci appears to be experiencing natural selection.

Résumé :
Stem cells (SCs) undergo asymmetric division, producing transit-amplifying cells (TACs) with increased proliferative potential that move into tissues and ultimately differentiate into a specialized cell type. Thus, TACs represent an intermediary state between stem cells and differentiated cells. In the cornea, a population of stem cells resides in the limbal region, named the limbal epithelial stem cells (LESCs). As LESCs proliferate, they generate TACs that move centripetally into the cornea and differentiate into corneal epithelial cells. Upon limbal injury, research suggests a population of progenitor-like cells that exists within the cornea can move centrifugally into the limbus, where they dedifferentiate into LESCs. Herein, we summarize recent advances made in understanding the mechanism that governs the differentiation of LESCs into TACs, and thereafter, into corneal epithelial cells. We also outline the evidence in support of the existence of progenitor-like cells in the cornea and whether TACs could represent a population of cells with progenitor-like capabilities within the cornea. Furthermore, to gain further insights into the dynamics of TACs in the cornea, we outline the most recent findings in other organ systems that support the hypothesis that TACs can dedifferentiate into SCs.

Résumé :
The protective function and transparency provided by the corneal epithelium are dependent on and maintained by the regenerative capacity of limbal epithelial stem cells (LESCs). These LESCs are supported by the limbal niche, a specialized microenvironment consisting of cellular and non-cellular components. Disruption of the limbal niche, primarily from injuries or inflammatory processes, can negatively impact the regenerative ability of LESCs. Limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD) directly hampers the regenerative ability of the corneal epithelium and allows the conjunctival epithelium to invade the cornea, which results in severe visual impairment. Treatment involves restoring the LESC population and functionality; however, few clinically practiced therapies currently exist. This review outlines the current understanding of the limbal niche, its pathology and the emerging approaches targeted at restoring the limbal niche. Most emerging approaches are in developmental phases but show promise for treating LSCD and accelerating corneal regeneration. Specifically, we examine cell-based therapies, bio-active extracellular matrices and soluble factor therapies in considerable depth.

Résumé :
Indonesia is one of the largest pepper producing countries in the world. One of the pepper-producing provinces in Indonesia is the Bangka Belitung Islands (Babel). However, the infection of Radopholus similis and Meloidogyne spp. which causes yellow disease becomes one of obstacles in pepper cultivation in Babel. Thus, alternative solution to overcome this yellow disease is by reducing the amount of nematode inoculum of R. similis and Meloidogyne spp. in soil. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the infusion of oyster mushrooms baglog waste enriched with molasses to control the population of R. similis and Meloidogyne spp. and to increase the population of rhizobacteria. Infusion of oyster mushrooms baglog waste was mixed with 1% of molasses and was poured into soil obtained from the pepper plant roots. The concentrations used were 10%, 20%, 30% and 50%. Population of phytonematode, rhizobacteria, proteolytic bacteria, and group of fluorescence bacteria were calculated before and 7 days after treatment. Results showed that the populations of R. similis and Meloidogyne spp. in the soil poured with the influsion of oyster mushroom baglog waste decreased by 29.11% (R. similis) and 24.61% (Meloidogyne spp.), compared to the before and control treatments. The suppression of nematode population was found to be the highest in the influsion treatment at concentration of 50%. Overall, treatment of all concentrations succeeded to increase the population of rhizobacteria, proteolytic bacteria, and group of fluorescence bacteria in soil. Moreover, the highest increase was found in soil treated with concentration of 50%. This study provided new information that the infusion application of oyster mushrooms baglog waste enriched with molasses had the potential to increase the population of rhizobacteria and suppress the amount of pathogens R. similis and Meloidogyne spp.
