Résumé :
The article describes the socio-economic problems of labor migration in Russia, CIS and the world in General. It is noted that Russia plays the role of a donor country supplying manpower to the markets of host countries, however, in relation to the CIS and some neighbouring Asian countries, Russia is the host country. The causes of migration flows directed to and from Russia our country abroad are studied. The segments of the labor market in which workers compete with citizens of the Russian Federation are identified. The social, economic and legal problems of labour migrants are analyzed. It is emphasized that the main problems at present are born not by the scale of immigration to Russia, and its spontaneous, uncontrolled character. The mechanisms of harmonization of social and labour relations on the labour market are proposed.

Résumé :
The article discusses the concept of “competitiveness” in various aspects of the life of society. It was revealed in the course of the analysis of the works of domestic and foreign scientists that the competitiveness was actively used and is used in the economy, in particular, as a tool to stimulate labor in the form of competitions. As economic forms of competition, one can single out: labor competition, economic competition, production competition, socialist competition. The characteristic features and disadvantages of each of the forms are noted. The author of the article, taking into account the peculiarities of each of the economic forms of competition, substantiates the necessity of introducing a new form – industrial and economic competition, gives his own definition of the term “industrial and economic competition”, adapted to the Belarusian economic system. It is noted that holding industrial and economic competitions is an effective mechanism in stimulating the labor of workers and increasing labor productivity in general. The principles of holding production and economic competitions are stated, the mechanism of holding is described. It is concluded that competitiveness, as a specific personality trait, is an effective tool for stimulating labor, and in terms of production activity, it is advisable to introduce and apply a system of industrial and economic competition, which will be maximally adaptive to the production conditions of the modern Belarusian economy and will become a powerful catalyst for increasing labor productivity.

Résumé :
In the context of globalization and economic integration, labor mobility in general, international labor migration and export in particular are increasingly playing an important role in reshaping the future of the world’s economic geography. This study is conducted to provide insights into employment, costs and incomes of export labors in Yen Khe, Thanh Ba district, Phu Tho province. In-depth interviews and questionnaire surveys were applied to collect primary data on employment, costs and incomes of export labors, related issues and consequences. These were also supplemented by the secondary data collected from different sources during the study process. The study found that labor export not only helps to create jobs, reduce unemployment and underemployment, but also to diversify jobs for workers, contributing to the restructure of the local economy. Remittances from export labors contribute directly to the increase of individual workers and their families’ incomes, transforming the income structure in the way that is less dependent on local livelihood capitals and local livelihood strategies. However, labor export has also posed issues and consequences for export labors and their families. Notably, the status of illegal labor abroad, investment capital for labor export and related debt, services for labor export, voluntary unemployment, family conflicts, income inequality caused by remittances.

Résumé :
Child labor has long been recognized as the most disturbing and one of the most serious concerns of our day, we believe that it is time to take action. Even in emerging and developing nations, those who have been evicted or expropriated sometimes send their children to work so that they may compete with their own salaries. In a considerable number of these nations, tremendous deprivation lurks under the surface of neediness. Thus, child labor is not uncommon in the region at all. As a general rule, these are signs of a lack of economic stability, the negative repercussions of supporting a kid's employment for financial support, and a lack of opposition to child labour in any form. Due to the fact that the rights of children are progressively being raised in both advanced and emerging cultures to some extent. Every child is born with the right to food, clothing, and safety until they reach the age of maturity. Keywords: Pakistan, Punjab, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Child labor

Résumé :
The expectation was a crucial element in the decision-making process about migration, so this study analyzed the impact of economic prospects on international labor migration on Java Island. The data sourced from the Indonesian Statistics includes international labor migration, economic prospects, unemployment, wage difference, and poverty in six provinces on Java Island from 2011 to 2020. This study utilized regression analysis based on the Panel Fully Modified Ordinary Least Square (FMOLS) and the Panel Dynamic Ordinary Least Square (DOLS). This method was complemented by expert judgments summarized in the Delphi analysis to identify the causes of international labor migration. The result shows that improving economic prospects negatively affects international labor migration. The better economic prospects would be followed by lower international labor migration. Meanwhile, increased unemployment and poverty rates lead to a rise in international labor migration. However, the wage difference has no impact on international labor migration. The Delphi analysis revealed that international labor migration is associated with some causes, such as vacancies in the home country, poverty, economic prospects in the home province, language similarity with the home country, distance to the destination country, and living costs in the destination country. Nevertheless, the wage difference between the wage rate in home country and the destination countries unrelated to international labor migration.

This study investigates the process by which married women and men allocate their labor between employment and housework. The two forms of labor are conceptualized as economically productive and subject to economic determinants at three levels: the macroeconomic structure, the family economy, and individual human capital characteristics. Data from the Panel Study of Income Dynamics indicate that both women's market and domestic labor are highly sensitive to the family economy, whereas men's market labor is subject to the macroeconomic structure and men's domestic labor is little affected by its economic context. Implications of these patterns for the process of gender stratification are described.

Résumé :
The importance of the ocean economy in island regional development requires the local government to formulate relevant policies according to the potential of its ocean economic activities. Based on the 2012 North Maluku Province I-O table updated to 2016, this study was conducted by aggregating 20 ocean subsectors to measure inter-sectoral linkages, output multipliers, income multipliers, and labor multipliers in the ocean economic sector. The I-O analysis results show that the leading sectors of the ocean economy of North Maluku Province are fisheries, ore mining, and construction. The marine sector which has excellent development potential in the economic development of North Maluku Province is based on the output multiplier, namely the metal ore mining sector, the food, and beverage industry, marine transportation, and the provision of food and beverage. Based on the number of labor multipliers, the education service, construction, and ore mining sectors can absorb high labor compared to other sectors.

Résumé :
The object of the study is the transformation of the Russian labor market. The aim of the work is to assess the quantitative and qualitative consequences of non-economic crises for the Russian labor market. The relevance of the study is due to the need for both retrospective analysis and short-term forecast estimates of changes in the most important parameters of the Russian labor market under the influence of external shocks. The novelty of the research consists in the application of the author's approaches to obtaining factor forecast estimates of changes in the number of employed and unemployed in the economy in 2022 under the influence of restrictions imposed on the country on foreign economic activity. One of them is based on estimates of the elasticity of labor demand in relation to changes in the most important macro parameters, the other is based on estimates of the impact of the effects of reduced imports and disruption of production chains on industry output parameters. The research methods are analysis, economic and mathematical modeling based on the balanced approach, and the RAS method. The findings of the study show that due to the sanctions regime, the potential demand for labor in the economy may decrease by 6.4-6.7 million jobs (employed). However, large-scale government support measures can save about 5 million jobs. In this regard, it is justified that as a result of sanctions, a sharp surge in the number of unemployed should not be expected. A number of factors are also considered that can support the demand for domestic labor in the medium term, namely the intensification of the import substitution policy and the deterioration of the position of foreign labor migrants in the Russian labor market. The article also analyzes the change in industry and qualification (by type of occupation) employment structures under the influence of the coronavirus pandemic. Despite minor changes in the overall industry and qualification structure of employment in 2021 compared with the pre-pandemic 2019, a number of significant changes were noted in the qualification structure of the use of labor within industries. The author draws a conclusion about the effectiveness of economic policy measures aimed at supporting the economy and the labor market and also defines the main directions of transformation of the employment structure in non-economic crises

Résumé :
This paper provides a review of the role of enterprise in a capitalistic setting to promote economic growth. For this purpose, two indexes on productivity and economic freedom were utilized to compare countries grouped by region and income. The finding by relating productivity to economic freedom index of the Heritage Foundation indicates a statistically significant relationship between the two. This gives credence to the hypothesis that economic liberalization induces growth, despite significant gaps in the levels of productivity and economic freedom index between groups of countries.

Résumé :
Unlike most previous research on the relative changes in earnings of job stayers and job changers, this study examines the variance in earnings changes rather than simply average changes, men and women rather than only men, and the five-year period following job change rather than only the first year or two. The author finds great variability in earnings changes both within and across race and gender groups. Notably, men gained more from quits and, except in the case of low-wage workers, lost less from layoffs than women. Also, men suffered a much smaller penalty than women for repeated job changes. For all groups, the percentage difference between earnings before and after leaving a job generally persisted for several years.

Résumé :
Digital technologies and digital competencies of employees have widened the gap both between those employed in different industries and between specialists within the same company, as well as in the level of development between individual countries. While creating social elevators, opportunities for advanced training, remote work, regardless of geographic and gender-and-age characteristics, they have called into question the possibility of “stable work”, dictating the need for constant retraining and acquiring new skills related to the use of digital technologies. This paper’s authors examine the impact of digitalization and automation on the labor market and economic development, systematize the trends in changing of the employment structure and the share of labor in value added, consider the problems of labor force release and ways to solve them, and the changing of the decent work concept in the digital economy.

Résumé :
Nepal and Sri Lanka are recognized as labour-exporting countries. The flow of labor migration in foreign labor markets has been increasing each year. Trends of foreign labor migration started to increase in both countries after 1990. Both countries are categorized under income group countries. Foreign employment has become one of the nation's main household income and foreign exchange earnings sources. After the 1990s, Remittance contributed to foreign exchange earnings and had a favourable impact on the balance of payments, solving unemployment problems, reducing poverty, and boosting economic growth. This study aims to examine the impact of foreign employment on Remittance and the economic growth of these economies. The impact of labor migration on macroeconomic variables (balance of payments, economic growth) has been measured using statistical tools such as correction and regression models from 1995-2019. The study finds that the flow of Remittance has increased and positively impacted macroeconomic variables in the study periods. The study shows that foreign employment has become the main destination for the youths of both countries. The results showed a positive relationship between foreign employment and Remittance and a positive impact on economic growth.
