Texte intégralDen här uppsatsen behandlar kommats användning vid satsgränser i två kontexter: mellan samordnade huvudsatser och vid adverbialbisatser i huvudsats. Syftet är att kartlägga bruket genom att registrera frekvensen av komma, brukets förhållande till ett antal relevanta variabler och till etablerade kommateringsregler. Detta har skett genom en kvantitativ analys omfattande sammanlagt 800 fall av nämnda kontexter. Materialet är hämtat från politiskt orienterade bloggar.
Resultatet visar att komma använts mellan 61,75 % av huvudsatserna och vid 27,75 % av adverbialbisatserna. Dessutom har samband noterats mellan komma och faktorer som kon-junktion, förekomsten av gemensamma satsdelar, adverbialtyp, bisatsens position och längden hos olika textelement. Bruket bedöms ligga ganska nära Svenska skrivreglers komma-teringsregler, även om betydande avvikelser finns i fråga om huvudsatsfogning.

Asian-American dance study is an integration of dance studies and Asian-American studies. The existence of social and political stereotypes on Asian-American dancers often categorizes them into an oriental labeling. The labeling of Asian-American dancers based on their ethnicity and their culture’s history in the United States and not considering the artists’ intent and the nature of their works cause this orientalism bias. Due to lack of researches in the past, older generations of Asian-American dancers in the United States fell victim to this oriental labeling. Anything that the public did not seem to understand often led them to believe what they were seeing was foreign. It is not about the issue of racism that this study intends to bring, but rather this study will focus on the Asian-American dancers’ place of belonging in the American society. Eiko & Koma, two renown Asian-American dancers, have an extensive performance career throughout their lives traveling from Japan to Europe in the early 1970s and eventually settling down in the United States in 1976. Eiko & Koma witnessed through the social, economic, and political changes in the United States from the mid-1970s to present. This research will focus on the perceptions on Asian-American dancers by the American society both in the past and the present and address the issues that revolve around them primarily through the works of Eiko & Koma and their career history.

Texte intégralWhen the work was switched to remote as a result of the Corona pandemic, new conditions were created for many industries. For external management consultant it means meeting the needs of a client organization when the client works remotely. The management consultant therefore needs to behave in a new role at distance, which means new ways for the change consultant to create and influence the client's understanding for organizational change. To find out how management consultants has been affected, the purpose of this study is to investigate the experience of management consultant when client organizations switch to work remotely with a focus on the management consultant's role. By this purpose we use the research question; How does the management consultant experience his/her role has been affected when the client organizations’ transition to work remotely? This essay is based on Weick's theory of sensemaking, Gioia and Chittipeddi’s sensegiving and Jang and Lee's role theory about the management consultant. The management consultant's experience has been analyzed based on the previous named theories. The theory has been a basis for the study's operationalization, which is based on understanding how the change consultant experience the role based on making and giving- activities. The essay is based on how the distance has affected the sensemaking and sensegiving processes for the change consultant through seven interviews. The results have shown that the role of management consultants has been affected by the fact that the client organization is no longer in the workplace and that the role is dependent on where in the change process the management consultant is. It means that the management consultant needs to ask more explicit questions for each employee to understand the organization. It means an experience that the management consultant gets closer to the employees at a distance as the management consultants create new relationships with each employee, rather than the organization.

Texte intégralThe function of reading fictional texts in Swedish secondary school education has been questioned in public debate (e.g. Melin, 2016-07-17), even though the reading of fictional texts has been shown to be important to young people’s academic achievement (Jerrim & Moss, 2019). Swedish policy documents clearly state that upper secondary teaching of literature in the subject of Swedish is aimed at increasing the pupils’ self-awareness and their comprehension of experiences and perceptions of others (The Swedish National Agency of Education, 2011). However, results from a large-scale reading project show that Swedish teenagers find it difficult to reflect upon their own roles as readers of fictional texts (Nordberg, 2018). Therefore, this licentiate thesis targets upper secondary reading of fictional texts, and the possibility of using literary terminology pedagogically to visualize and develop pupils’ transformative learning processes. The overall research question posed is: - How can applied literary terminology be used in upper secondary literary studies todevelop pupils’ transformative learning processes? A pilot study was conducted based on three focus group-sessions with teachers and the librarian at an upper secondary school. The main study was based on reading journals written by pupils reading John Ajvide Lindqvist’s novel Låt den rätte komma in (2004) [Let the Right One In, 2008] as part of the Swedish 3 course. The methodological framework is inspired by participatory research. Consequently, this research-project uses an inclusive approach to the participants – 11 Swedish teachers, 1 librarian and 31 pupils – which means that they are considered as subjects rather than objects of knowledge. My own role in this project is tripartite: as a colleague, a teacher, and researcher. The pilot study was conducted in order to find out which possibilities and obstacles arose when the staff participants worked on teaching literature. The main study, within which the pupils are included as participants, focuses on advancing meta-perspectives of their own reading and made use of results from the pilot study and concepts derived from Felski’s (2008) ‘modes of textual engagement’. The pilot study revealed tensions which obstruct the teaching of literature, including the teacher-experienced importance of pupils ‘stepping into’ stories, as opposed to a great many pupils’ reluctance both towards the text and the act of reading. Moreover, the tension between engaged reading and the heavy emphasis placed on assessable outcomes of teaching and learning was addressed by the teachers. The main study revealed that reluctance is an inherent part of reading fictional texts. Further, that the pedagogical application of concepts used in literary studies can support the reading process, make it move forward, encourage the adoption of meta-perspectives on reading and on the pupils themselves as readers, as well as supporting a cohesive view of the finalized text. In summary, the findings suggest that applying literary concepts in literary studies supports pupils towards advancing their transformative learning and potentially points to a new way of making the goals section of the policy documents tangible for teaching and learning practices. According to this study, transformative learning-goals can be achieved if critical perspectives are preceded by individual engagement with the reading of the text. The suggested concept of transformative potential is beneficial to an analysis of the pedagogical function of a certain fictional text used in a certain learning situation geared towards transformative learning. This finding stands in contrast to trends of using reading as a means of writing practice or imaging historical epochs.

Texte intégralThe purpose of this paper is to examine what support unaccompanied young refugees feel they receive from the social services, and how they believe they are included in the work regarding them as they arrive in Sweden. Six youth were interviewed in our study, all came here unaccompanied at least three years ago. The interviews were based on their own experiences of the social services. The collected material was coded and divided into four categories. These were: Finally arrived, Trust in the social services, Listen and explain as well as Thank you Sweden. The results were analyzed according to Eides phase model. The results and analysis show that the support is experienced differently depending on the relationship the young person has with his or her social secretary. They show that the youths trusting in the social secretary are important for them to be able to accept the support offered. Therefore the results show that the majority of the youth feel that social workers listen to them, but do not include them in the decision process itself. The conclusion of the studies is that the individual social secretary plays an important part as the youth that has had a good connection with them experience the support more positive as opposed to those who hasn’t had an as good of a connection.

Texte intégralThe purpose of this study is to examine how spatial information-design and theories of wayfinding could be of help in order to strengthen existing navigation systems in public and indoor areas. The examined area is the main entrance of Mälarsjukhuset (Eskilstuna`s regional hospital), and the primary target group is first time visitors, while the secondary group is the staff at the hospital. The aim of the study is to clarify and improve the navigation system in the main entrance area, because of flaws that the region of Sörmland has observed in that navigation system. They also observed that the main entrance area fails to make first time visitors feel safe and well informed, which has also led to an increased workload for staff members. A site analysis, notations, litterateur study, interviews and several digital navigation tests, have all laid the foundation for a design proposal in the form of a 3D-modell. The result of the study has been summarized in a list, with guidelines to cater to the needs of public environments. It is important that the element of navigation is available on several different levels, to allow for the different individual strategical choices that visitors might make in their wayfinding processes. An environment that has a good overview facilitates visual searching, which creates a sense of security for the visitor. A hierarchy split between the most important functions in a room also aids visual searching.

Texte intégralBackground: The pharmacy business is a business that is undergoing constant change. Since the re-regulation of the pharmacy market in 2009, the Swedish pharmacy has undergone several changes that have been unpredictable. E-commerce has increased, the pharmacy's availability has increased and also has the needs. How the future will look for the pharmacy's part is something we lack knowledge about unlike the rest of the world where research on the subject has been ongoing. Hence the great importance to investigate how people at the relevant authorities and organizations believe that Sweden's pharmacy business may look like in 2030. Method: The question was answered by a quantitative questionnaire which various pharmacy actors and authorities/organizations answered. The questions consisted of statements about how the future pharmacy business might look year 2030, which they had to agree to different degrees.Results: The pharmacy actors and authorities /organizations had similar opinions in the majority of the questions. Both parties felt that e-commerce will increase, the pharmacy in the future will become a part of the healthcare system and that the health services in pharmacies will increase in the future. Discussion: In some questions, however, the views were contradictory, which indicates that there is a need for further studies that outweigh the question and clarify the meaning of the result for society as a whole. Conclusion: The pharmacy business development in the future will result in more health services at pharmacies, while the collaboration between pharmacies and healthcare in Sweden will improve by 2030.

Malmö University: Malmö University: Faculty of Health and Society, Department of social work, Year, 2017.Single women have a legal right to inseminate in Sweden since 1 April 2016, the law has been debated for a long time and with today's technology around fertility treatments, reproduction without sexuality is an opportunity for single women. This means that norms and notions about reproduction, sexuality and family formation are again faced with a change. The purpose of the study is to investigate how single women who have undergone insemination alternatively plan insemination, experienced how norms and beliefs, both their own and the environment's norms and beliefs, influenced them during the process of becoming a parent. In the study, five women were interviewed, they were asked to freely tell about their experiences about norms and beliefs during their process of becoming parents, and the material was then processed based on coding and categorization. Eight categories were identified and the empirical material was analysed from previous research and theoretical starting points such as queer theory and family theory. The study results showed that norms and performances affect single women who inseminate and the norms that appeared were a heterosexual norm and norms around the nuclear family. The women in the study expressed a desire to live in heterosexual relationship and in a nuclear family. Nevertheless, they decide to acquire children without sexuality being involved, which opposes both their wishes and prevailing norms. These women become independent actors with their decision on reproduction without sexuality. The study contributes to the knowledge that the family as a family form is still the prevailing norm, even though it is challenged by today's diversity of family forms in reality. Although women in the study can be seen as independent actors who manage without men as dads to the children and family providers but they still express a desire to include a man in some way in their family.Keywords: Family formation, insemination, norm, parenthood, reproduction, sexuality, single women.

Texte intégralDenna C-uppsats syftar till att nå en större förståelse för vilka krafter det är som påverkar individers engagemang i ett livslångt lärande. Både lärandets livsvida och dess livslånga dimension behandlas. Dessa dimensioner är ett försök att inom ramen för ett livslångt lärande beskriva hela det universum inom vilket lärande kan ske. Studien har genomförts med hjälp av halvstrukturerade intervjuer och sex informanter, som alla har anknytning till ämnesområdet pedagogik. Resultatet visar att den starkaste drivkraften utgörs av individernas egen inneboende längtan och vilja till lärande och utveckling. Studien visar också att livslångt lärande i stor utsträckning handlar om ett självstyrt lärande, som individen har eget ansvar för. De få hinder som finns återfinns på en nationell och institutionell nivå utgörs av ekonomiska bidrag och behörighetskriterier.

The numbers of students in higher education with foreign background are still lower than expected. The universities around the country are increasingly committed to attract students among this group. Many of investments and researches have been done to explore new approaches. There is need to understand how students evaluate their choices. These studies will help marketing the educations which are more responsive to student's expectations. I based my investigation to three university students. The major focus concerned the factors which affect the choices in getting into the higher educations for students with foreign backgrounds. In a qualitative method I interviewed three Kurdish students in age group under 25 years old. The results showed that the attitude of parents, environment, language, independent life style and the personal ambitions are among the main decision making factors. It is believed that the characteristics of native culture, independent life style and personal ambitions are positive factors. Nevertheless the language difficulty can create obstacle for many students as well.
Sammanfattning
Andelen studenter med utländsk bakgrund på högre utbildning är fortfarande underrepresenterad. Universitet och högskolor runt om i landet satsar allt mer på att rekrytera studenter bland dessa grupper. Allt mer investeras i forskning på den arenan. Man vill få kunskap om hur studenter utvärderar sina val. Genom att får reda på dessa kunskaper kan man marknadsföra utbildningar som lever upp till gymnasisternas förväntningar. I studien har jag undersökt tre ungdomar som studerar på universitet. Syftet med undersökningen var att studera de faktorer som underlättar för ungdomar med utländsk bakgrund att komma in på högre utbildning. I en kvalitativ undersökning har jag intervjuat tre kvinnliga kurdiska studenter i årskullar under 25 år. Resultatet visar att föräldrarnas inställning och attityd, miljö, språk, självständighet och ungdomarnas egna ambitioner är faktorer som har sina effekter. Det tycks att hemkulturen med sin inställning och sitt krav, självständighet och ungdomarnas ambition är underlättande faktorer, men att språksvårighet och utanförskap kan utgöra hinder för många.

The concepts of “subculture” and “stigmatization” applied to drug addicts are central in the analysis. The essay is based on interviews with two different groups of informants: one consisting of drug addicts and the other of non-addicts. The essay describes, analyses and interprets the informants’ ways of relating to society and the observed tendencies of being a part of a subculture as well as obejcts of stigmatization, both individual and structural.

Texte intégralUppsatsen undersöker faktorer som påverkar kreativitet i konstnärliga organisationer. Faktorerna har delats in i kategorierna process- och strukturfaktorer. Processfaktorer definieras som faktorer som är föränderliga över tid, medan strukturfaktorer är stabila över tid. Syftet med uppsatsen är bland annat att ge en breddad bild av faktorer som har betydelse för kreativiteten i konstnärliga organisationer. Uppsatsen utgår från en Grounded Theory-metod och baseras på kvalitativa intervjuer med personer som arbetar med film, respektive nycirkus. Uppsatsen visar att både faktorer som är föränderliga över tid och faktorer som är stabila påverkar intervjupersonernas kreativitet. Analysen behandlar tio av de faktorer som visat sig i empirin. Fem av dem identifieras som processfaktorer. Dessa är: samarbete, inspiration, idéer, tanken om processen och motivation. De fem strukturfaktorer som behandlas är: arbetsgången i produktionen, rätten och ansvaret att fatta beslut, tid, ekonomi och visionen som ram. I undersökningen framkommer att de behandlade faktorerna har många aspekter och kan ha både positiv och negativ påverkan på kreativiteten. Vissa har också visat sig ha effekter som varken kan sägas vara positiva eller negativa. Uppsatsen visar också att faktorerna ibland är svåra att skilja åt och att de interagerar med andra faktorer i sin påverkan på kreativiteten.

Texte intégralEvery year roughly 15 million children are born prematurely. A premature born child is in need of specialized care focusing on his or her well-being. This may cause parents' involvement in the care of their child to be overridden and the possibility of connection becomes impaired. The aim of this literature study was to describe parents' experiences of coming home with their premature born child. A general literature study was conducted with systematic searches in databases and supported by content analysis. The result was presented in three main themes: Experiences of coming home, Experiences of caring for one's child at home and Experiences of support. The result showed that feelings like positivity and relief were predominant, but parents also experienced insecurity and concern. At home everyday life was characterized by new routines and various obstacles. Parents' received support from the nurse, support groups and relatives. The support from the nurse was considered important for parents to experience homecoming as positive. This literature study can give the nurse an increased understanding of parents' experiences of coming home with their premature born child and lead to better support from the nurse in those areas where the insecurity among parents' is the greatest.
