The kindergarten period is the critical period for the formation of character and habits. Accordingly, Kindergarten education is fairly crucial for people. Nowadays, few males choose to become kindergarten teachers in the world. For instance, in South Australian kindergartens, female kindergarten teachers account for the most proportion. Until June 2005, only three male kindergarten teachers in comparison with two hundred and nineteen female kindergarten teachers worked on preschool education [1]. There is a significant gender gap among the kindergarten teachers. I have looked up some relevant reviews and statistics on the proportion of male early childhood workers in different countries and the salary of early childhood educators in Australia in 2015.

Drawing and painting activities. The finger painting technique is one type of activity that can be done to develop visual-spatial skills. The study included group B children from Merauke District Kindergartens. Classroom Action Research (CAR) was used, and it was carried out in two cycles. Three meetings were conducted in each cycle. This study included 200 students from five kindergartens in the Merauke District, including Pembina State Kindergarten, Yapis Kindergarten, ABBA WASUR II Kindergarten, and AL-FATAH Kindergarten. Techniques for collecting data include direct observation, practice, and documentation. Analyze descriptive data. The study's findings revealed that employing the finger painting technique, children's visual spatial intelligence increased at each meeting, with cycle I reaching 20 children. (10%), up to 180 children in cycle II (90%) with the criteria Developing According to Expectations.

During the last decades, early intervention has become a major concern across political parties in Norway. In line with the discourse of early intervention, kindergartens are perceived as important arenas for identifying children at risk and initiating intervention. Equally important in the kindergarten sector is the discourse of diversity, in which a tolerance for behaviours that deviate from the majority norm is assumed. Drawing on an institutional ethnography in Norwegian kindergartens, and in particular the concept of ruling relations, I compare these two discourses in this article and discuss how kindergarten staff have to negotiate between different, and sometimes conflicting, institutional discourses that can justify different interventions. As a consequence, and despite good intentions, kindergarten staff can end up treating children with different backgrounds unequally.

It is very common for parents in the city to drop off and pick up their children at the kindergartens, and it usually results in severe traffic jam because traditional kindergartens lack of space for such picking-up & dropping-off behavior. This article analyzes the current status of the Pick-up & Drop-off Space in kindergartens, studies the characteristics of the Pick-up & Drop-off behavior and the resulted space demand, learns from foreign experience, explores the design mode of such spaces and finally illustrates the mode by relevant examples. The study on Pick-up & Drop-off space has an important practical significance in both improving kindergarten building design specifications and guiding the construction of kindergartens.

Kindergarten education is a significant project which is closely related to the future development of the nation and its people's livelihood. With the development of our economy and the improvement of people’s living standard, the demand for high-quality pre-school education is increasing sharply among parents. Unfortunately, present development of kindergartens in our country is far behind the increasing demand of pre-school education which results in the phenomenon of “kindergarten enrollment difficulty” in numerous cities. In the investigation, it is found that planning and layout of kindergartens, shortcomings of their own development and related policies are the factors that interact with each other thus leading to the problem. To deal with those factors, we put up with a set of theoretical models from the angle of planning in the hope that these models can serve as reference for relieving the problem of “kindergarten enrollment difficulty”.

One of the objectives of this research was to determine the level of (linguistic & non-linguistic) communication efficiencies among the kindergarten teachers according to some demographic variables. The researcher used the Descriptive and Correlative Method, also they used observation tool, beside finding the validity, internal consistency and reliability of the tool through Cronbach's Alpha which was (0.92), then a consistency between the observers were found. The tool in its final form Consisted of (28) items. The final sample was (89) lessons observed of kindergarten teachers in Koya city. The results showed that the level of communication efficiencies in general was above average but not up to the required level educationally set at 80%, also the private kindergarten teachers was better comparing with Governmental kindergartens, also differences appeared by the years of service for the benefit of newly teachers. Based on the results the researcher presented several recommendations and suggestions.

The purpose of this study was to examine similarities and differences of American, Japanese, and Taiwanese kindergarten teachers’ perspectives about clean-up time. The participants consisted of two female American kindergarten teachers in the southeastern US, two female Japanese kindergarten teachers on the main island, and two female Taiwanese kindergarten teachers from central Taiwan, all of whom teach four-year-olds. Qualitative analysis of the data yielded four themes regarding teachers’ views of clean-up time: teaching cleaning-up methods, the developmental stages, the extension of play, and reflection of one’s own practical knowledge and skills. These teachers perceived clean-up time was more than just a transitional time. The implications for early childhood education are presented.

Adaptive serious mathematical games in kindergarten were used to investigate whether kindergarteners could grasp mathematics topics. A pretest–posttest-follow up design with two conditions. (Condition 1 educational kindergarten games on the computer, focusing on counting and comparison, Condition 2 educational kindergarten games on the computer, focusing on memory, counting and comparison) and one active control group (playing educational kindergarten games without mathematical content) was set up dealing with 45 preschoolers with a mean age of 68.78 months (SD = 4.46). Children were matched in kindergarten on their early mathematical and language skills as well as on their intelligence before the interventions took place. The study revealed that playing mathematical games in kindergarten had the potential to enhance the early mathematical skills. Children with initial weak mathematical skills in kindergarten caught up with their average performing peers, pointing to the importance of serious numerical games as “opportunities” in kindergarten. Both boys and girls benefitted, with a sustained effect in grade 1, revealing promising potential effects of offering opportunities to focus on mathematics even in very young children.

The objective of this thesis is to critically evaluate difficulty of all steps needed to set up a kindergarten focused on German language. The thesis then questions the potential of this type of organization in Pilsen. The scale for the amount of potencial is based on a conducted survey targeted at pilsner parents with young children and their priorities when choosing a kindergarten. The evaluation arises also from the captures evaluating the project schedule, financial plan and expected amount of registered children. The theoretical part summarizes the geographical development in Czech Republic during the last periods and the legislation adjusting the establishment of a kindergarten. The practical part describes the concrete steps of the project from the very first thoughts to opening the kindergarten including the first two months of its operation.

AbstractThis chapter demonstrates how information regarding infection control was recrafted on the principles of critique and attraction to art and imagination in a digital agile response in a time of crisis. The chapter narrates the process of making a video targeting the youngest children by using cultural-historical and aesthetic analytic models and concepts where co-creation, creativity and imagination are crucial. The design was explorative and collaborative, as the process involved ongoing dialogue between the researcher, the artist, a family with children aged two and four years, kindergarten teachers, and children in three groups (1–3-year-olds). Inspired by a cultural-historical methodology of collaborative exploration, we name the event as pedagogical innovation. We start off with a problem experienced in the early days of the pandemic: informing children about the importance of washing one’s hands. The information provided by the health and educational authorities was almost exclusively shaped in a manner best suited to ages four and up. The authors identified a lack of developmental and institutional knowledge and awareness regarding successful communication with children in the tool kit provided by the authorities. Although older children might follow the commands of adults regarding infection control, younger children lack the logical tools to process such information. On the basis of this critique, we responded by engaging children, kindergartens, and families in the co-creation of a 90-second video. This animated short video used imaginative language rather than the more common instruction, with the aim of targeting the youngest children. The result of the creative co-creation was a colourful, abstract cartoon language with stimulating rhythms.

AbstractProgrammable robots are now found in many early childhood centres. However, little research has considered how young children’s problem solving may link computational thinking to mathematical understandings. While most research about robots in kindergarten is from intervention studies to improve children’s computational thinking, in this study we observed two children solving tasks with a robot in a naturalistic setting. We identified when the children had a problem that they could not immediately solve, by looking for signs of uncertainty, for example by putting their hand to their mouth, stopping and/or looking up at the teacher. By analysing the children’s problem solving of those problems, alongside a teacher, we were able to identify how aspects of computational thinking were connected to mathematical understanding. In particular, number understandings, such as the difference between ordinal and cardinal counting and early addition, seemed important for solving problems related to sequencing, decomposition and debugging. The children’s developing understanding about counting may have contributed to the children’s uncertainty about programming the robot.

With this chapter, the authors aim to present a theoretical review about the use of digital technologies in kindergartens, with preschool children. They begin by taking a theoretical and generalized approach to the subject. Next, they present the added value for children when using technologies. The importance of the kindergarten teacher in the use of technologies by younger children is also explored, as well as the factors that influence technological integration in schools and kindergartens. The authors present a project carried out in Portugal, which refers to publications of books for pre-school children, with the aim of sensitizing children of these ages for a safe use of technologies. Finally, they round it up with some brief conclusions.

She was a Yankee down to the depths of her crusty soul, suspicious, sure of what she knew, forever ready to take on the world with a mixture of honesty and determination that left little room for doubt that she would do her best to stick around forever to ensure that her own would have a safe passage through the world. “Co-opers help out in the classroom,” I replied, rinsing my razor under a brief stream of water. In this paper, we analyse the kindergarten as a space that promotes children's multilingualism. We define space as a set of conditions that influence children's learning through the physical and psychosocial environment, and the design of space as an essential element that influences the interaction between individuals in a given space. As kindergarten is a culture-creating space, educators should think about the design of the space before actually designing it, as it can influence the development of community and positive identities and contribute to children's learning achievements. We live in a multicultural society where two or more languages are used naturally by up to three-quarters of humanity. Therefore, multilingualism and language pluralism are valuable resources that need to be preserved. Multilingualism in the system can be achieved in different ways. This article focuses on play corners, books, singing, ICT technology, and free play.

Abstract. Ergonomics is an interdisciplinary science that applies to various aspects of our lives, extending beyond the workplace. Ergonomics enhances work, education, and leisure activities for lifelong well-being. This article presents the ergonomic principles of the preschool child's world that influence the correct psychophysical development of the child. A quantitative study was conducted in seven non-public kindergartens in the Silesian voivodeship, using direct interviews and elements of overt observation. The study aimed to identify strengths and weaknesses in the ergonomics of kindergartens' organizational and technical spaces, specifically focusing on legal requirements for safe and ergonomic working conditions for children up to the age of 6. The results highlight the challenges faced by designers and kindergarten directors in creating an ergonomic environment for children, revealing numerous difficulties in this area. There is increasing recognition of the importance of ergonomic and safe organizational and technical conditions in early childhood education. The obtained research results are a valuable contribution to a larger study on ergonomics and safety in Polish pre-schools, scheduled for the coming years.

The current society brings up responsible university students who may be relied upon by building their personalities and psychological formation through providing them with symbols, meanings and values that govern their emotional behavior, in addition to teaching students to assert themselves through the skills of dealing with others, anticipating their behavior, predicting their responses, and interaction with them positively. Universities are among the most important educational institutions in society because it plays an important role in the process of socialization of students, so the researcher identified the research problem with the following question: What is the level of the concept of emotional suppression and self-affirmation for kindergarten students? 1- Recognizing the level of emotional suppression among kindergarten students. 2- Recognizing the level of self-assertion of kindergarten students. 3- Recognizing the relationship between emotional suppression and self-assertion among kindergarten students. 4- Identifying the extent of the difference in the relationship between emotional suppression and self-affirmation according to the stage variable. The current research was limited to the female students of the Kindergarten Department for the academic year (2021-2022) in the province of Baghdad, which the research sample included (150) female students from the College of Basic Education, Kindergarten Department. And to achieve the objectives of the research, the researcher adopted the emotional suppression scale for (Taleb, 2013), which consisted of (22) items, and the self-assertion scale of (Rattos 1979) after dividing it into seven domains, which consisted of (28) items. The researcher will reach the results of her research after applying the research tools. 1-There are Statistically Significant differences between the mean Scores of the Sample and the hypothetical mean, and this difference is in favor of the hypothetical mean of the scale this means that the Kindergarten students are not characterized by emotional suppression 2-There are Statistically Significant differences between the mean Scores of the Sample and the hypothetical mean of the scale this and this difference is in favor of the mean Scores of the Sample. 3-There are differences in the relationship between emotional suppression and selfassertion among female kindergarten students according to the second and fourth academic stages, and this difference is in favor of the fourth stage. 4-There is a relationship between emotional suppression and self-affirmation, Based on this, it can be said that the higher the self- assertion of the students, the less their emotional suppression

In school classroom, a child born soon after the selection period’s cut-off date (early born children) may benefit by up to a full year in physical and psychological development compared with a child born just before the cut-off date (late born children). This phenomenon is called the “relative age effect” (RAE). RAE is defined as the consequence of age differences between individuals within the same cohort, either in school or on sports teams (Musch & Grondin, 2001). This study examines the effect size of RAE in physical and psychological development and discusses educational problems faced by kindergarten teachers due to this RAE. Data were collected from 100 five-year-old Japanese children (60 male, 40 female) and their kindergarten teachers. Significant main effects of birth month category on physical development and on psychological development were found (early born children were more developed than late born children). The effect size of RAE in physical development was greater than that in psychological development. We concluded that the RAE existed in physical and psychological development among young children. Further, RAE appeared greatly on physical than on psychological development. Thus, we propose that kindergarten teachers could benefit from an awareness of the RAE.

This paper contains the second stage of the research "The minimum area required for children aged between 3 and 5 years old in a kindergarten", which was developed between Buen Comienzo Programme, Medellin’s Municipality and Architects Julie Waldron and Ader Garcia. Often, kindergarten are planned in a conventional way of construction; they are designed following standard building measurements (NTC4595), given by the quantity of square meters per child, rather than the spatial necessities. Therefore, the aim of this research was to evaluate the occupation area of a child in three different spaces: the classroom, cafeteria and bathrooms, as well as their correspondent activities: drawing, sleeping, eating and cleaning up. The study was developed photographing a 5 years old model, which was performing the selected activities. The photo analysis showed that the area needed in a space should not be limited by the equivalent area physically covered by the children solely performing the activities. Thus, each activity was compared in different children grouping configurations and these were analysed in different room shapes. The results were evaluated aiming to find the average occupation area. Finally, this research integrates: activity and shape of indoor spaces and dynamic required rates.

The school-family-community partnership (SFC) is given by the collaborative relationships between school staff and families, community members, organizations (companies, church, libraries, social services) to implement programs and activities to help students succeed in graduation. successful studies. The clearer operationalization of the concepts of parental involvement and participation allows the differentiation of the following aspects: - two types of parental involvement, namely spontaneous (starts from the bottom up) versus planned (from the top down); the latter refers to interventions or programs built in order to solve the problem of insufficient participation or absence of parents; - involvement at home - for example, a discussion at home about school activities and involvement in school - for example, parents' participation in school activities or aspects of organizing school activities: communication with the school, school-parent relationship. Trust is vital for collaboration and is a predictor of improving school results. In a world where the use of IT and communication technologies is a key feature, they represent the core element in education, involving changes in educational policies, both in setting goals and in developing strategies, providing resources and training specialists. One of the recommendations of the new education focuses on the organization of learning contents so they can use computer applications in learning, teaching and assessment processes. The present article "Integrating educational software in the activity of preschoolers" aims to demonstrate the need to use IT technologies by introducing educational software in the study process of children in kindergartens. The use of educational programs at kindergarten level proves to be an effective learning tool that causes significant changes in acquiring knowledge and changing attitude towards learning. Children prefer to gather knowledge through educational programs rather than through traditional methods and means, which contributes to creating a positive attitude towards learning and improving the quality of their results. At the same time, in order for new technologies to prove their effeciency, it is absolutely necessary for teachers to respect the instructional design of digital materials, the rules of didactic planning and the individual and age particularities of children.

The increase in the frequency of hypertension in youths has brought physical activity as a potentially effective non-pharmacological therapy into focus. The aim of the work is to analyze the changes in blood pressure in youths during physical activity as well as determine the importance of physical activity in youths with hypertension, with particular reference to the potential role of parents. Research shows that lowering blood pressure early in life has a positive effect on blood pressure in adulthood. The impact on the energy metabolism of youths, through a change in the ratio of physical activity and sedentary behavior, can be achieved during working days through various programs in the kindergarten or school. On weekends, it is up to parents to stimulate behavior that improves childrenʼs health. Special education of parents is a way to reduce the growing tendency of inactivity among youths. Creating and nurturing young peopleʼs habits for physical activity, reserving parents’ time for the child's physical activity, and sharing knowledge about physical activity with the child are some of the possible ways to increase overall physical activity at an early age.

In Quebec, children must be 5 years old before October1st to be admitted to kindergarten. In the same class, the youngest students are therefore up to one year younger than the oldest. In this study, the authors show that children born in September have 35% higher rates of ADHD diagnosis and medication than those born in October. ADHD could be confused with inattentive or more turbulent behaviors. Based on unpublished data from the RAMQ, including the medical services records of nearly 800,000 young people born between 1996 and 2005, the authors draw unequivocal conclusions about the extent of the phenomenon and sound the alarm on an issue of great concern.
