<p><em>Development of unlimited information resulting in the loss of the diversity of architectural identity of place. Contemporary architecture develops without control and without clear concept seeds. Craftsmanship is always attached to art because in the final result there is a content of art, even though the meaning of art is always being discussed and always developing. Javanese house architecture has three important things, namely the relationship of Jiwa Cipta / wastu, resources / kalang and form / wewangunan, which are the totality of architecture. The purpose of this research is to describe the understanding of "Javanese architecture" by taking a broader perspective that will be used in this study. This relationship will be traced through the craftsmanship inherent in Javanese architectural works. The method used is field research which is a qualitative research with problems in a natural setting to interpret and interpret the observed phenomena. Craftsmanship of Javanese architectural will complement the knowledge of Javanese architecture which will enrich the identity of Indonesian architecture in accordance with the place and time travel which will always change according to human civilization. Craftsmanship in Javanese architecture produce Javanese architecture consisting of constructive and non-constructive percussion crafts that are able to provide articulation of the manufacturing process, articulation of talent / character of materials, articulation of expression of load joints articulation of material processing.</em></p>

Abstrak_ Makalah ini membahas arsitektur vernakular dalam hal konsep dan pendekatan dalam studi. Keragaman definisi, sikap, dan preferensi telah menghasilkan berbagai pendekatan dalam beberapa dekade terakhir. Mengenali perbedaan ini dapat membantu untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang kondisi saat ini dan cakrawala masa depan dalam penelitian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini termasuk mengidentifikasi dan mengkategorikan pendekatan dominan terhadap arsitektur vernakular. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian mengidentifikasi lima kecenderungan yang dianggap arsitektur vernakular sebagai objek estetika, fenomena biologis (jenis dan evolusi), substansi material-fisik (penjelasan fisik), realitas budaya-sosiologis, dan akhirnya sebagai fenomena antropologis. Pendekatan-pendekatan ini merepresentasikan perpindahan dari dokumentasi ke interpretasi, objektivitas ke subjektivitas, dan primitif ke biasa dalam studi. Fenomenologi, hermeneutika, semiotik, studi gender, dan feminisme menetapkan cakrawala baru bagi penelitian arsitektur vernakular. Evolusi sikap dapat dijelaskan di bawah perubahan paradigma penelitian dari positivisme ke post-positivisme dan fenomenologi.Kata kunci: Arsitektur Vernakular; Desain Iklim; Budaya; Sosiologi; Tipologi. Abstract_ This paper addresses vernacular architecture in terms of concepts and approaches in studies. The diversity of definitions, attitudes, and preferences has led to a variety of approaches in recent decades. Recognizing these differences can help to obtain a deeper understanding of today's conditions and future horizons in research. The objectives of this study included identifying and categorizing the dominant approaches toward vernacular architecture. The research used a qualitative and descriptive method. The results identified five tendencies considered vernacular architecture as an object of aesthetics, a biological phenomenon (types and evolution), a material-physical substance (physical explanations), a cultural-sociological reality, and finally as an anthropological phenomenon. These approaches represented the movement from documentation to interpretation, objectivity to subjectivity, and primitive to ordinary in the studies. Phenomenology, hermeneutics, semiotics, gender studies, and feminism set new horizons for vernacular architectural research. The evolution of attitudes can be explained under the change in research paradigms from positivism to post-positivism and phenomenology.Keywords: Vernacular Architecture; Climatic Design; Culture Sociology; Typology.

AbstractTiles are an essential element of a design or architecture. As part of the work of architecture, the floor can be compacted soil, marble rocks, organic types such as wood, bamboo etc. Encaustic tiles is one of the products which are the elements to meet the needs and desires of man both in terms of technical, artistic or symbolic. This tile was first introduced in Europe in the 1800s. In fact there are several archaeological sites in Indonesia there are tiles of this type. How these tiles can get to the archipelago and how the use and function. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. It is by doing a search of facts with proper interpretation, by studying the problems of society in a particular situation or period including the relationships, attitudes and ongoing process and its influence on the phenomenon. The purpose of writing this article to give an overview on some of the facts about the existence of the tiles from Europe and its use in the archipelago. The results obtained showed enkaustik tiles are spread evenly from the eastern region to the western region of the archipelago and placed in various types of buildings and parts of architectural space. Sebagai bagian karya arsitektur lantai dapat berupa tanah yang dipadatkan, batuan marmer, jenis organik seperti kayu, bambu dan sebagainya. Ubin encaustic (enkaustik) merupakan salah satu produk yang merupakan elemen untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dan hasrat manusia baik dalam hal teknis, seni maupun simbolik. Ubin ini dikenalkan pertama kali di Eropa tahun 1800an. Faktanya ada beberapa situs arkeologi di Indonesia terdapat ubin-ubin jenis ini. Bagaimana ubin ini dapat sampai ke Nusantara dan bagaimana penggunaan dan fungsinya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Ini dengan melakukan pencarian fakta-fakta dengan interpretasi yang tepat, dengan mempelajari masalah masyarakat dalam situasi atau masa tertentu termasuk dengan hubungan, sikap dan proses yang sedang berlangsung dan pengaruhnya terhadap suatu fenomena. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini untuk memberikan gambaran atas beberapa fakta tentang keberadaan ubin-ubin yang berasal dari Eropa ini dan penggunaannya di Nusantara. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan ubin-ubin enkaustik ini tersebar secara merata dari wilayah timur hingga wilayah barat Nusantara dan di tempatkan di berbagai jenis bangunan dan bagian ruang sebuah bangunan arsitektur. This paper aims to examine architectural styles that affect Tjong A Fie’s house. Scope of the study include: the pattern layout, layout, construction, decorative ornaments used in. The approach used is qualitative descriptive research. Data collection using direct observation in the field, but it also carried an interview. To deepen the analysis is conducted literature study which related to the topic under study. Sources of data used in this study is artifact and textual. Architectural style Tjong A Fie's house is the result of acculturation of Chinese architecture, Colonial and Malay.

There are quite some machine learning (ML) models, frameworks, AI-based services or products from different IT solution providers available, which can be used as building blocks to embed and use in IT solution architectures of companies. However, the path from initial prototypical proof of concept solutions until the deployment of proven systems into the operational environment remains a major challenge. The potential of AI-based software components using ML or knowledge engineering (KE) is huge and the majority of small to medium enterprises are still unsure whether their internal developer teams should be extended by additional ML or KE skills to enrich their IT solution architectures with novel AI-based components where appropriate. How can enterprises manage the change and visualize the current state and foreseeable road-map? In the current paper, we propose an AI system landscape for the public transport sector, which is based on existing AI-domains and AI-categories defined by different technical reports of the European Commission. We collect use-cases from three different enterprises in the transportation sector and visualize them on the proposed domain specific AI-landscape. We provide some insights into different maturity levels of different AI-based components and how the different ML and KE based components can be embedded into an AI-based software development life-cycle (SDLC). We visualize, how the AI-based IT-solution architecture evolved over the last decades with respect to coupling and decoupling of layers and tiers in the overall Enterprise Architecture.

Our understanding of the cultural transformation phase of the Islamic grave in South Sulawesi is still limited to the study of its territorial scope, not specific to a particular locality or kingdom. This study aims to determine the stage of transformation of Islamic shape tomb in Tanete Kingdom, Barru and its causal factors. The research used artefactual data which are four complex of King Tanete tomb, interview data and historical data. The methods used are survey, interview, literature study, identification, and interpretation. The study concludes three stages of transformation shape tomb at Tanete, the first transformation of the early seventeenth century characterized by tombstone, both occurring in the mid-18th century to the beginning of the nineteenth century characterized by decorative and inscribed tombs, and the third occurred beginning of the 20th century with the characteristic of European architecture. The cause of the three stages of the transformation of the tomb is the external factor, the first stage of the Gowa kingdom, the second stage of Malay culture, and the third stage is the influence of political relations with the Dutch Government. Pemahaman kita tentang fase transformasi budaya kubur Islam di Sulawesi Selatan masih terbatas pada kajian yang sifatnya wilayah, belum spesifik pada satu lokalitas atau kerajaan tertentu. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tahapan tranformasi bentuk makam Islam di Kerajaan Tanete, Barru dan faktor penyebabnya. Data yang digunakan adalah data artefaktual yaitu empat kompleks makam Raja Tanete, data wawancara dan data sejarah. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei, wawancara, studi literatur, identifikasi dan interpretasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan tiga tahap transformasi bentuk makam di Tanete, transformasi pertama pada awal abad ke-17 yang dicirikan oleh makam bercungkup, kedua terjadi pada pertengahan abad ke-18 hingga awal abad ke-19 yang dicirikan oleh makam dekoratif dan berinskripsi, dan ketiga terjadi awal abad ke-20 dengan ciri arsitektur Eropa. Penyebab tiga tahap transformasi bentuk makam tersebut adalah faktor eksternal, tahap pertama dari kerajaan Gowa, tahap kedua dari budaya Melayu, dan tahap ketiga adalah pengaruh hubungan politik dengan Pemerintah Belanda.

Dalam beberapa telaah di aspek filosofis yang menjadi dasar teorinya, ditemukan bahwa teori dan konsep folding architecture bercabang pada penerapan praktisnya dalam membentuk massa dan tampilan bangunan, atau penerapan abstrak yang perwujudannya adalah mengatur ruang aktivitas secara menyatu atau terpisah tergantung pada perlakuan lipat-melipat bidang/elemen bangunan. Melalui telaah tersebut dapat dikerucutkan bahwa inti dari konsep folding architecture adalah prinsip keterhubungan melalui perlakuan-perlakuan seperti mentransfer aktivitas secara mulus, memiringkan bidang, menekuk bidang dan membuka bidang.Kata kunci: Fold, Folding Architecture, Keterhubungan, Katastropik,ABSTRACT. This study is a process in understanding how the folding architecture theory is defined and applied to architectural/building works. In several studies on the philosophical aspects on which the theory is based, it was found that the theory and concept of the folding architecture branched out from its practical application in shaping the mass and appearance of a building. Moreover, it also an abstract application where the embodiment is to organize the activity space unified or separately to depend on the plane building elements' folding treatment. This study can conclude that the core of the folding architecture concept is the principle of connection through treatments such as smooth transfer of activity, tilting the plane, bending the plane, and opening the plane.Keywords: Fold, Folding Architecture, Connectivity, Catastrophe

This paper focuses on the architectural order of ancient Javanese temples. Contemporary writings often use a tripartite order to conceptualize Javanese temple architecture, which divide the edifice into three parts consisting of head, body, and feet. However, the overgeneralized nature of the order does not accurately represent the complexities of Javanese temples which contain diverse architectural elements. This has made discussion of Javanese temple architectural traits somewhat limited and undetailed. Further, the textual basis of this order is questionable. The concept has not been found in authentic Old Javanese source and only attested in modern sources as a conjecture. To support more nuanced discussion of Javanese temple architecture, the author proposes an alternative architecture order, dubbed the “vāstu order”. This order is created using an architectural-historical research method in analyzing historical architectural treatise and samples of Javanese temple. Samples are limited to Hindu temples from the Mataram era (8-11th centuries). Comparison that the authors have conducted find that the elevation of all samples can visually divided into seven parts of the vāstu order: upapīṭha, adhiṣṭhāna, pada, prastara, gala, śikhara, and stūpi. However, further inspection (using the temple’s head as an example) shows that each part has an unusual or even unprecedented architectural elaboration from the supposed Indian protype. This observation contributes to the notion that Javanese temples shows a complex amalgamation of various Indian architectural elements into a distinct creative form. This study demonstrates that a conceptual shift from the conventional tripartite order into a more refined vāstu order permitted more detailed observations in various architectural elements of Javanese temples. Applying and testing the vāstu order to other temples would perhaps yield a more robust architectural order that is useful in revealing the nature of Javanese temple architecture and its position within the web of cultural exchange between India and Southeast Asia. Tulisan ini berfokus pada tatanan (order) arsitektural candi Jawa. Tulisan kontemporer kerap menelaah arsitektur candi menggunakan tatanan triparti, yang membagi tampak candi ke dalam tiga bagian: badan, kepala, dan kaki. Meski umum digunakan, tatanan sederhana ini tidak merefleksikan secara akurat kompleksitas candi yang memiliki banyak elemen arsitektural. Akibatnya, upaya untuk menjabarkan ciri arsitektural candi cenderung terbatas dan tidak rinci. Dasar tekstual dari tatanan triparti juga dapat dipertanyakan. Konsep ini hanya ditemukan pada sumber modern dalam bentuk dugaan, dan belum ditemukan dalam sumber Jawa Kuno asli. Dalam rangka mendukung diskusi candi yang lebih rinci dan berbobot, penulis mengusulkan sebuah sistem tatanan baru, yang penulis sebut sebagai “tatanan vāstu.” Tatanan ini disusun menggunakan metode riset arsitektural-historis untuk menganalisis sastra arsitektural dan sampel candi. Sampel terbatas pada candi Hindu dari era Mataram Kuno (abad 8-11 M). Perbandingan yang penulis lakukan menunjukkan bahwa semua sampel candi dapat dibagi secara visual ke dalam tujuh bagian yang dimiliki tatanan vāstu: upapīṭha, adhiṣṭhāna, pada, prastara, gala, śikhara, dan stūpi. Namun begitu, pemeriksaan lebih jauh (menggunakan kepala candi sebagai contoh) menunjukkan bahwa tiap bagian memiliki elaborasi arsitektural yang cukup berbeda dengan elemen India yang diduga sebagai purwarupa. Pengamatan ini memperkuat pendapat bahwa arsitektur candi Jawa menunjukkan percampuran kompleks berbagai elemen arsitektural India menjadi suatu gubahan tersendiri. Kajian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan sistem tatanan berbasis vāstu, alih-alih tripartit konvensional, memungkinkan penjabaran elemen arsitektur candi secara lebih rinci. Menerapkan dan menguji kesahihan tatanan vāstu pada candi lain ke depannya mungkin dapat menghasilkan order arsitektur baru yang lebih bermanfaat untuk menelaah arsitektur candi Jawa serta kedudukannya dalam jaring pertukaran budaya antar India dan Asia Tenggara.

There were dozens of masters and gurus over the territory since the period of “Japanese occupation” till the “Postwar period” of Taiwan. The architectural painting of Kuo's Clan from Lukang Town in Changhua County had been legendary at the time. Meanwhile, Chun-Jiang Kuo, Qi-Xun Kuo and Xin-Lin Kuo were amongst those acclaimed masters. Furthermore, reputations and technique of Kuo's clan also influenced a lot of apprentice, this dissertation is about one of the reputable apprentice, Huan-Zhang Ke, who does not belongs to the Kuo's clan. Huan-Zhang Ke, the acclaimed artist from central Taiwan, his works could be found around Changhua County, Nantou County and Yunlin County. Most of his works were mainly architectural painting in temple, clan hall and residences. Many organizations and individuals also engaged him for his profession. We could identify the subtle yet delicately complex combination of handicrafts and social setting which represents the time-line of his career from his works. Moreover, his painting career also revealed the revolution in the history of Taiwan. Hence, both artistic and historical values from his architectural painting. There are a few essential elements in architecture painting, which consists framework, ornament subject, blueprint and embellishment technique. Firstly, framework is the structure designed to support or enclose a building, such as a piece vertical partition wall , beam and rafters, door-god, plaster wall and so on, all production in traditional form were greatly affected by its framework. Secondly, it is ornament subject, which also known as the content of the painting. Mostly artisans wielding some folk stories which contain great moral values such as loyalty, piety, temperance and righteousness into their artworks. Next, the blueprint is a detailed outline of a work, it is a main reference of a production. Lastly, embellishment technique is also known as painting technique, it is the main element that form a work, it represents the style and characteristics of the artisan. In a nutshell, this dissertation will based on these four elements approaching Ke's works, in addition, we will analyze his distinguishing features especially from his “Chinese Ink Wash Painting” Hence, both artistic and historical values were found from his architectural painting. Due to the importance of its location, Taiwan had governed by different regimes throughout the history, and each period contributed unique aspects culturally, which also reflected on architectural designs in Taiwan. Generally speaking, a large number of Han people from Fujian and Guangdong migrated to Taiwan in the late Qing Dynasty. They brought their religious beliefs and cultures to Taiwan, as well as their architectural styles. As time goes by, the architecture adapted local elements and transformed into a new style of its own. During the Japanese Colonial Period, Taiwan not only was able to preserve its culture under the repressive policy of Japanese Government, but also integrated Japanese and Western styles in the architectural designs. Therefore, we can still see the characteristics of South Area of Fujian Province in traditional architecture in Taiwan today. Traditional architecture painting is an essential element of buildings. The original functions of these paintings are decoration and protection for structures, but they eventually turned out to be historical traces and cultural treasures up to now. From the research of the existing works, the Japanese Colonial Period is the climax in terms of the developing in traditional architecture painting, especially from 1910 to 1930. The politics and economy were stable and prosper during this time, so many talented painters emerged, such as Guo Shin-lin, Ke Huan-zhang, Liu Pey, Qiu Zhen-bang, Pan Li-shui, and Chen Yu-fong, who are relatively well-known painters. However, because of the lack of information and research, many excellent painters remained nameless and could not be found in any documentation. Based on the results of field research, the painter Chen Deng-ke was one of them. The amount of his works was no less than the works of the Guo clan, who was the largest and the most famous painter group in Central Taiwan. Chen didn’t continue to work in architecture painting after World War II, so there is rarely any research, report or documents about his biography and training. Although he started out in Changhua, we can only get to know him from his works. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to let more people gain understanding and knowledge of painter Chen Deng-ke, in the aspects of his life and works.

The objective of this thesis are the findings of the older school-age pupils´ relationships to the sacral architecture. The theoretical part contains the literary comparison of the available sources related to the gothic and baroque architecture. I dedicate to the psychological description of the pubescent and characterization of the emotional and social aspects, too. I elaborated the quantitative research which was engaged in pupils´ knowledge and understanding of the baroque and gothic architecture and monuments in their area in the practical part. The research was realized by means of the questionnaire inquiry among pupils of 6th and 9th grades of primary schools.

The aim of the disseration is to discuss forms of commemorative art. The main focus is given to the development of micro-architectural elements as well as medieval liturgical practices. The dissertation briefly summarises historical, economic and cultural factors between 1300-1450 and their influence on the rise of gentry, guilds and merchants. They, together with the royals and clergy, were becoming influential commissioners of art at that time. English sacred buildings are not as soaring as those on the European continent. Several earthquakes are taken into account when discussing this specific character of English medieval architecture. A vast church interior space encouraged a development of micro- architectural structures. Mutual influences beween macro-architecture of buildings and micro-architecure of monuments is researched on an art-historical basis. Micro-architecture in England is very ornamental indeed. The term Decorated Style is used. English churches and cathedrals are impressive in terms of size. Their interiors offer lavishness of micro-architecture. Keywords English medieval architecture. Commemorative and votive art. Chantry chapels. The Black Death. The cult of the saints in the Middle Ages.

This bachelor thesis describes the basic components of a guidance and orientation system which is discussed under special consideration of signage. The study clarify whether an applied signage within the design of the guidance and orientation system will improve the orientation in a library and beyond that if it will have impacts on the well-being of the user and furthermore on the image nof the library. The developed properties of a guidance and orientation system with a good information design are shown at two examples of public libraries: The Mediothek Krefeld and the cental public library Hamm. At the end of this thesis, I will summarize the results and give some preview of upcoming trends in the design of control and guidance systems.

With the development of the Web and, consequently, of the digital libraries, open archives, repositories between other, new systems and information sources have been created, placing the users in a new search and information retrieval environment, characterized by the abundance of informational resources disposed in the hypertext format, increasing the access possibilities significantly. Ahead of this ‘information digital environment’, one of the Indexing Languages functions is to represent the information of the documents contained in these information systems, so that the user be capable to access that information for the use, communication and, mainly, for the generation of new knowledge. However, the problem-key of the Information Retrieval goes by the search of theoretical and methodological proceedings for the Information Organization and Representation. In other words, the principal problematic is to find means of improving the methods of Information Organization at the conceptual level, in way to increase the accessibility for the end-users. Ahead this, an exploratory study of theoretical analysis was proposed of some information search behavior models that, in agreement with the specialized literature, they are the ones that have larger impact in research terms in the area. Such models can be incorporate to the information thematic treatment processes, allowing to librarians and indexers the if give bill of the intervening variables in the search and information retrieval process of the users and, this way, that they understand the factors that affect the information organization and representation. As results are considered that an approach that tries to place the user in the center of the concerns in the Information Organization should appeal to the accumulated experience in the calls studies of users. It is ended that the studies about the users' information behaviors, that include the contextual factors that intervening in these behaviors, can contribute for the development of new systems and tools for the Information Organization and Representation, as well as for the use of the information, be in the academics/scientifics contexts or, still, in other types of organizations.

Enterprise Architecture Planning (EAP) is a Zachman Framework-based Enterprise architecture methodology. The first stage is Planning Initialization, which aims to design information technology for the future utilizing the Enterprise Architecture Planning (EAP) process (starting), second, we'll look at business modeling, systems, and present technology (where we are now) , third, data architecture, applications, and technology (recommendations), and fourth, implementation (Achievements). The existence of a recommendation or blueprint given to the Sindangjaya Ward Office is expected to solve in the resolution of problems at the ward office, and it is hoped that the method used can be applied and understood when the need for future development, particularly in the IT field.
