Résumé :
Objective. To analyze the active compounds, potential targets, and diseases of JianPi Fu Recipe (JPFR) based on network pharmacology and bioinformatics and verify the potential biological function and mechanism of JPFR in vitro and in vivo. Methods. Network pharmacology databases including TCMSP, TCM-PTD, TCMID, and DrugBank were used to screen the active compounds and potential drug targets of JPFR. Cytoscape 3.7 software was applied to construct the interaction network between active compounds and potential targets. The DAVID online database analysis was performed to investigate the potential effective diseases and involved signaling pathways according to the results of the GO function and KEGG pathways enrichment analysis. To ensure standardization and maintain interbatch reliability of JPFR, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) was used to establish a “chemical fingerprint.” For biological function validation, the effect of JPFR on the proliferation and migration of CRC cells in vitro was investigated by CCK-8 and transwell and wound healing assay, and the effect of JPFR on the growth and metastasis of CRC cells in vivo was detected by building a lung metastasis model in nude mice and in vivo imaging. For the potential mechanism validation, the expressions of MALAT1, PTBP-2, and β-catenin in CRC cells and transplanted CRC tumors were detected by real-time PCR, western blot, and immunohistochemical staining analysis. Results. According to the rules of oral bioavailability (OB) > 30% and drug-likeness (DL) > 0.18, 244 effective compounds in JPFR were screened out, as well as the corresponding 132 potential drug targets. By the analysis of DAVID database, all these key targets were associated closely with the cancer diseases such as prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, bladder cancer, small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma. In addition, multiple signaling pathways were closely related to JPFR, including p53, Wnt, PI3K-Akt, IL-17, HIF-1, p38-MAPK, NF-κB, PD-L1 expression and PD-1 checkpoint pathway, VEGF, JAK-STAT, and Hippo. The systematical analysis showed that various active compounds of JPFR were closely connected with Wnt/β-catenin, EGFR, HIF-1, TGFβ/Smads, and IL6-STAT3 signaling pathway, including kaempferol, isorhamnetin, calycosin, quercetin, medicarpin, phaseol, spinasterol, hederagenin, beta-sitosterol, wighteone, luteolin, and isotrifoliol. For in vitro experiments, the migration and growth of human CRC cells were inhibited by the JPFR extract in a dose-dependent way, and the expression of MALAT1, PTBP-2, β-catenin, MMP7, c-Myc, and Cyclin D1 in CRC cells were downregulated by the JPFR extract in a dose-dependent way. For in vivo metastasis experiments, the numbers of lung metastasis were found to be decreased by the JPFR extract in a dose-dependent manner, and the expressions of metastasis-associated genes including MALAT1, PTBP-2, β-catenin, and MMP7 in the lung metastases were downregulated dose dependently by the JPFR extract. For the orthotopic transplanted tumor experiments, the JPFR extract could inhibit the growth of orthotopic transplanted tumors and downregulate the expression of c-Myc and Cyclin D1 in a dose-dependent manner. Moreover, the JPFR extract could prolong the survival time of tumor-bearing mice in a dose-dependent manner. Conclusions. Through effective network pharmacology analysis, we found that JPFR contains many effective compounds which may directly target cancer-associated signaling pathways. The in vitro and in vivo experiments further confirmed that JPFR could inhibit the growth and metastasis of CRC cells by regulating β-catenin signaling-associated genes or proteins.

Résumé :
We present jpf-logic, an extension of the model checker Java PathFinder (JPF). Our extension jpf-logic provides a framework to check properties expressed in temporal logics such as linear temporal logic (LTL) and computation tree logic (CTL). To support a logic in our framework, we (1) implement a parser for the logic, (2) develop a hierarchy of classes that represent the abstract syntax of the logic and implement a transformation from parse trees of formulas to the corresponding abstract syntax trees, and (3) implement a model checking algorithm that takes as input an abstract syntax tree of a formula and a partial transition system. The latter represents a model of the Java application. All three components have been implemented for CTL. The first two have been implemented for LTL.

Résumé :
There is a growing discussion of the idea of jus post bellum (jpb) and what it means as an addition to just war thinking. This essay connects jpb to the thought of Augustine and Aquinas, so that jpb appears as integral in that tradition. To make this case, I argue that achieving jpb is key to building a just peace, of which the fundamental characteristic must be human security, and thus defines two approaches to the study of human security that emerges from the theological development of jpb ethics: Michael Schuck’s Augustinian and Kenneth Himes’s Thomistic jpb conceptions. I argue that they both emphasize the importance of human security, as shown by their arguments for building humanitarian norms post bellum, but have different aims and jpb moral implications.

Résumé :
Java Pathfinder (JPF) is currently the most feature-rich platform for an in-depth analysis of programs that run on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). However, using JPF and interpreting its results is a challenge. Dependencies on specific Java versions inhibit the adoption of JPF, and its textual output makes it hard to understand its analysis results. To this end, we present the Theia Trace Viewer (TTV) for JPF traces, which features a web-based graphical user interface. It does not only make it easier to get an overview of JPF traces, but it can visualize traces without requiring an installation on the client side, thus making JPF more accessible at the technical level as well. We evaluated TTV with several groups of users, showing the potential of our approach.

Résumé :
Tests that modify (i.e., "pollute") the state shared among tests in a test suite are called \polluter tests". Finding these tests is im- portant because they could result in di erent test outcomes based on the order of the tests in the test suite. Prior work has proposed the PolDet technique for nding polluter tests in runs of JUnit tests on a regular Java Virtual Machine (JVM). Given that Java PathFinder (JPF) provides desirable infrastructure support, such as systematically exploring thread schedules, it is a worthwhile attempt to re-implement techniques such as PolDet in JPF. We present a new implementation of PolDet for nding polluter tests in runs of JUnit tests in JPF. We customize the existing state comparison in JPF to support the so-called \common-root iso- morphism" required by PolDet. We find that our implementation is simple, requiring only -200 lines of code, demonstrating that JPF is a sophisticated infrastructure for rapid exploration of re-search ideas on software testing. We evaluate our implementation on 187 test classes from 13 Java projects and nd 26 polluter tests. Our results show that the runtime overhead of PolDet@JPF com- pared to base JPF is relatively low, on average 1.43x. However, our experiments also show some potential challenges with JPF.

Résumé :
JPFS (juvenile primary fibromyalgia syndrome) is a musculoskeletal pain illness that affects children and adolescents. The intricacy of the clinical picture in JPFS has not been adequately characterized in the literature. JFMS symptoms are sometimes difficult to compare to adult fibromyalgia syndrome since many of them are "medically unexplained" and frequently overlap with other medical disorders. The etiology of the illness is multifaceted, with impaired central pain processing being a significant contributor. Musculoskeletal pain that is severe and pervasive is the defining symptom. Other signs and symptoms include headaches, stiffness, subjective joint swelling, sleep and mood disorders, and headaches. Multiple sensitive spots might be found during a physical examination. The diagnosis has certain criteria and is clinical. Early detection and treatment are crucial. The gold standard of care combines a variety of modalities, but most significantly, exercise and cognitive behavioral therapy. The outlook varies, and symptoms might last well into adulthood. Discussing the epidemiology, etiology, pathophysiology, clinical symptoms, diagnosis, and management of JPFS is the goal of the review.

Résumé :
Java Path nder (JPF) is a virtual machine executing Java byte- code that is able to perform model checking using backtracking execution. Due to backtracking, parts of a program may be ex- ecuted multiple times during model checking. Hence, we explore whether method summaries can be used to make JPF's model checking more efficient. We present the design and implementa- tion of dynamically generated summaries as an extension of JPF. While our summaries incur an overhead that outweighs the bene- ts in most cases, the approach shows promise in certain cases, in particular when stateless model checking is used. We also provide some results related to cases when our summaries are applicable that could provide guidance for future work within this eld.

Résumé :
Fungal and mite associates may drive changes in bark beetle populations, and mechanisms constraining beetle irruptions may be hidden in endemic populations. We characterized common fungi of endemic-level Jeffrey pine beetle (JPB) in western USA and analyzed their dissemination by JPB (maxillae and fecal pellet) and fungivorous mites to identify if endogenous regulation drove the population. We hypothesized that: (1) as in near-endemic mountain pine beetle populations, JPB’s mutualistic fungus would either be less abundant in endemic than in non-endemic populations or that another fungus may be more prevalent; (2) JPB primarily transports its mutualistic fungus, while its fungivorous mites primarily transport another fungus, and (3) based on the prevalence of yeasts in bark beetle symbioses, that a mutualistic interaction with blue-stain fungi present in that system may exist. Grosmannia clavigera was the most frequent JPB symbiont; however, the new here reported antagonist, Ophiostoma minus, was second in frequency. As hypothesized, JPB mostly carried its mutualist fungus while another fungus (i.e., antagonistic) was mainly carried by mites, but no fungal transport was obligate. Furthermore, we found a novel mutualistic interaction between the yeast Kuraishia molischiana and G. clavigera which fostered a growth advantage at temperatures associated with beetle colonization.

Résumé :
Jaboticaba (Plinia spp.) peel is an emerging co-product with high levels of flavonoids, anthocyanins, and differentiated sensory characteristics. During the industrial processing of jaboticaba, as in the production of juices, only the pulp is used, and the peel is discarded. This work aimed to produce sequilho biscuits with different concentrations of jaboticaba peel flour (JPF) and evaluate the technological and sensory properties of the products. Biscuits with four concentrations of JPF (B1= 0.75%, B2= 1.5% B3= 2.25% and B4= 3.0%) were prepared. The physicochemical analysis, instrumental texture, color, total flavonoids, and total anthocyanins were evaluated. Sensory perceptions were investigated using the check-all-that-apply (CATA) questionnaire, hedonic scale, and purchase intention scale. Jaboticaba peel flour had high levels of total flavonoids (227.9±14.6 mg 100 g-1) and total anthocyanins (114.2±4.2 mg cyanidin-3-glycoside 100 g-1). Specific volume and bite force were not affected by the addition of JPF. The global impression for all biscuits elaborated with JPF ranged from approximately 6.5 to 7.5. It positively influenced the global impression of the biscuits, with associations with the CATA terms of fruit flavor, jaboticaba flavor, and fruit aroma. However, terms related to the texture, such as fibrous and hard, negatively influenced the global impression. It is recommended to produce sequilho biscuits with JPF addition up to 1.5%. This study demonstrated that the food industry could better exploit the jaboticaba peel, meeting consumer demand for products with differentiated sensory characteristics

Résumé :
Juvenile papillomatosis of the breast (JPB, also known as Swiss cheese disease) is a rare ailment that typically afflicts young females, and presents as a mass-forming lesion. The lesional mass usually comprises multiple cysts and duct stasis, amid a variety of proliferative and nonproliferative epithelial changes. The proliferative changes include papillary hyperplasia, florid hyperplasia, and papillary apocrine hyperplasia. Concurrent carcinoma (either in situ or invasive) is present in approximately 10% of cases at presentation, and subsequent carcinoma (either in situ or invasive) is diagnosed in about 10% of patients. About 20% of patients have a strong family history of breast carcinoma. A total of 10 cases of JPB have been previously reported in males, both children and adults, only one of which, in a 33-year-old, was associated with invasive carcinoma. Here, another case of JPB in a 45-year-old male—one with subsequent sequential diagnoses of ipsilateral intraductal carcinoma, invasive carcinoma, and widely metastatic carcinoma over the course of 15 years—is reported.

Résumé :
ABSTRACT Jabuticaba (Myrciaria cauliflora Berg) is agreatly appreciated fruit with nutritional importance, primarily found in the majority of Brazil. Its peel is a discarded by-product of the Brazilian agroindustry. The objective of this study was to develop cookie formulations with partial replacement of wheat flour (WF) and oat flour (OF) by jabuticaba peel meal (JPF), analyzing the technological aspects of the elaborate cookies and evaluating the acceptance of the selected product. All regression models of the cookies with JPF flour were significant. Cookies with JPF tended to blemish and had smaller thicknesses, greater ISA and IAA, smaller values of breaking strength and decreased color parameters (L*, a* and b*) compared to standard cookies. Cookies made with larger OF fractions had lower values of specific volume. Both the standard and the selected cookies from the cookie desirability test were deemed acceptable among students. This work presents a new possibility to produce cookies based on an agro-industrial co-products, which is interesting for the market for this type of product.

Résumé :
Juniperus phoenice stem bark have been source of wide array of bioactive compounds with endless therapeutic properties. This study evaluated the gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy of Juniperus phoenice stem bark extract and its influence on the haemato-biochemical values of growing rabbits. Gas chromatography and mass spectroscopy of Juniperus phoenice stem bark extract revealed the presence of 37 phytoconstituents with varying concentrations with total aggregate of 95.28 %. 40 – 6 weeks growing male rabbits (Newzealand white × chinchilla) weighing 456 ± 8.03 were randomly assigned to 4 groups (A, B, C and D) of 10 animals which was further divided into 5 replicates consisting of 2 rabbits each in a completely randomized design. Basal diet according to the nutrient requirement of rabbits outlined by NRC (1977). Animals in group A was fed basal diet with 0 % Juniperus phoenice stem bark extract (JPSB) while B, C and D were fed basal diet with JPSB at 3 mL, 6 mL and 9 mL once daily. It was observed that rabbits in group D fed 9 mL/day had a significantly (P˂0.05) higher pack cell volume, haemoglobin, red blood cell, mean corpuscular volume, mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentrations, mean corpuscular volume, white blood cells and their differentials compared to the other treatment except basophil count were not significantly (P˃0.05) influenced by the treatments. Similarly, serum biochemical indices values were topmost in G3 (6 mL/day) and G4 (9 mL/day), midway in G2 (3 mL/day) and lowest in G1 (0 mL/day). Creatinine, urea and total bilirubin count were not significantly (P˃0.05) different among the treatments. It was concluded that JPSB has potential pharmaceutical properties and can be fed to growing rabbits up to 9 mL/day without jeopardizing the health of animals.
