Résumé :

The Virgin Mary is important for both Catholic and Lutheran seventeenth century religious poetry. However, spiritual poetry differs significantly regarding the role attributed to Mary. In Catholic poems, first and foremost, Mary is a moral example of her faith and compassion for Jesus Christ. This is exemplified by Mary’s agony juxtaposed to the suffering of Christ on the Cross. In comparison, Lutheran poets describe Mary as an example of the promise that God chooses the inferior so that the sinners may trust in God’s grace. This article shows the confessional similarities as well as the differences regarding the interpretation of Mary by analyzing religious poetry of Johann Rist and Friedrich Spee. Die Jungfrau Maria ist für die katholische wie lutherische geistliche Dichtung des 17. Jahrhunderts von Bedeutung. Die Konfessionen weisen aber deutliche Unterschiede auf, was die Deutung der Rolle Marias betrifft. In der katholischen Dichtung wird Maria vornehmlich als moralisches Vorbild hinsichtlich ihres Glaubens und ihres Mitleidens mit Christus dargestellt. Dies zeigt sich etwa, wenn Marias Leid mit dem Leiden Christi am Kreuz parallelisiert wird. Dagegen deuten lutherische Dichter Maria vor allem als ein Vorbild für die Zusage, dass Gott das Niedrige erwählt und so der Sünder wie sie auf Gottes Gnade vertrauen darf. Der Beitrag zeigt sowohl die konfessionellen Analogien als auch Differenzen in der Deutung Marias exemplarisch anhand der geistlichen Dichtung Johann Rists und Friedrich Spees.

Der Autor berichtet zunächst über ein – im kontinentaleuropäischen Vergleich – frühes Beispiel der Verschönerung einer Landschaft: die etwa ab 1776 geschaffenen Anlagen des Grafen Johann Philipp Cobenzl (1741–1810) am Reisenberg bei Wien. Anschließend nimmt er die überaus raumgreifenden (circa 700 Hektar) Verschönerungsmaßnahmen unter Fürst Johann I. von Liechtenstein (1760–1836) im Gebiet der heutigen Gemeinden Mödling, Maria Enzersdorf und Hinterbrühl in Niederösterreich, aber auch in Loosdorf (Gemeinde Fallbach) in den Blick. Die Bedeutung der Landwirtschaft als Element einer verschönerten Landschaft sowie die angestrebte Balance zwischen Ästhetik und Ökonomie in einer solchen werden im Beitrag besonders hervorgehoben. The author first reports an early example of landscape embellishment – by continental European standards: the grounds created by Count Johann Philipp Cobenzl (1741–1810) on Reisenberg near Vienna around 1776. He then looks at the extremely expansive (around 700 hectares) embellishment measures under Prince Johann I of Liechtenstein (1760–1836) in what are today the municipalities of Mödling, Maria Enzersdorf and Hinterbrühl in Lower Austria, but also in Loosdorf (municipality of Fallbach). The importance of agriculture as an element of an embellished landscape and the desired balance between aesthetics and economy in such a landscape is particularly emphasised in the article.

Apresenta-se, aqui, uma proposta de leitura da obra Lisboaleipzig 2: o ensaio de música (1994), da escritora portuguesa Maria Gabriela Llansol, procurando observar os diálogos intertextuais estabelecidos entre a sua efabulação ficcional e as técnicas composicionais do músico alemão Johann Sebastian Bach. A partir da observação de elos ordenados entre estas duas instâncias discursivas, objetiva-se uma reflexão que contemple o fenômeno da intertextualidade como recurso criador.We present here a reading proposal for Lisboaleipzig 2: O ensaio de música (1994), by the Portuguese writer Maria Gabriela Llansol, trying to observe the intertextual dialogue established between his fictional work and the compositional techniques of the German musician Johan Sebastian Bach. From the observation of sorted links between these two discursive instances, the objective is a reflection that addresses the phenomenon of intertextuality as a creator feature.

Der Beitrag schildert die kirchenmusikalischen Bedingungen in Breslau insbesondere in den Jahren 1740-1743, in denen Johann Christoph Altnickol an der dasigen Maria-Magdalenen-Kirche als Chorsänger nachzuweisen ist. Unter Berücksichtigung neuerer Widersprüche gegen das Verständnis der h-moll-Messe BWV 232 als Vermächtniswerk ohne eigentlichen Anlass wird im vorliegenden Artikel, der im Wesentlichen ein Referat des Autors auf dem Symposium „Understanding Bach’s B-minor Mass 2007 in Belfast wiedergibt, eine weitere neue Erklärungsgrundlage für die Vervollständigung der Messe eingeführt. Dazu wird die Person Graf Johann Adam von Questenbergs mit seiner Hofhaltung im mährischen Jarmeritz und ihren Beziehungen zum kaiserlichen Hof in Wien in den Mittelpunkt gestellt. Über die Frage eines möglichen Kontakts zu Johann Sebastian Bach wird die Möglichkeit eröffnet, die Messe könnte durch Vermittlung Graf Questenbergs für Wien entstanden sein. René Karl Wilhelm Johann Josef Maria Rilke (4 December 1875 — 29 December 1926), better known as Rainer Maria Rilke, was one of the most influential modernist poets in the 20th century. He wrote both verse and prose. His writings were greatly influenced by the philosophy of existentialism. Born in Prague, had Austrian citizenship, wrote in German. Lived and worked in Trieste, Paris, Switzerland. At the end of his life, suffering from pancreatic cancer, he described his torment in verse.

Johann Sebastian Bach is credited with writing over 300 cantatas. Sacred cantatas comprise most of that repertory, but there are just under forty known secular cantatas composed by Bach. About half of these secular cantatas were written to celebrate a person’s birthday. This thesis will attempt to provide a view of the life of the historical figures for which the birthday cantatas were written, reflections of the personality of the individual in the cantata, Bach’s relationship to the recipient, and political or social connotations associated with the work. From a study of the individuals connected with the musical work, a more thorough understanding of the time period in which Bach lived and worked may be gained. This in turn will provide a more complete understanding of Bach’s birthday cantatas. This thesis will not address recipients of name day cantatas nor will it address recipients of birthday cantatas that were not fully preserved. Résumé :

Uppsatsen ämnar att genom en ikonologisk analys undersöka altarskulpturgruppen, belägen i S:ta Maria Magdalena kyrka i Stockholm. Det man vet om skulpturgruppen är mycket begränsat. Man vet att gruppen gavs som gåva till kyrkan 1764 av slottsdeputationen vid Stockholms slott. Skulptören är än idag okänd. Syftet är att undersöka skulpturgruppens symboliska relevans i det religiösa klimat som rådde vid tiden då den flyttades till kyrkan. Uppsatsen ämnar koppla symboliken med pietismen – en religiös rörelse som växte fram i Tyskland under 1600- och 1700-talet och spred sig till Sverige under 1700-talet. Analysen kommer att använda sig av en komparativ metod där bl.a den pietistiska ikonografin jämförs med den katolska. Uppsatsens bildmaterial utgörs, förutom skulpturgruppen, huvudsakligen av emblem och andra gravyrer men även målningar och teckningar. Det ikonologiska perspektiv som kommer att användas i uppsatsen kommer ta stöd i Michael Baxandalls bok Patterns of intention. Resultatet visar på att skulpturgruppens ikonografi delvis kan kopplas till pietismens bildspråk. Cor ardens – ett brinnande hjärta – som kyrkans högra skulptur håller i sin hand. används flitigt i pietistisk retorik och emblematik. Symboliken blir även relevant när man analyserar den ur den religiösa konflikt som kretsade kring Maria Magdalena församling mellan pietister och lutheranska ortodoxa.

ZusammenfassungMargareta Maria von Buwinghausen and Walmerode (1629-after 1679), born in Lutheran Stuttgart, was the first woman to earn public recognition in the realm of English-German cultural transfer in 17th century Germany. She translated Joseph Hall’s treatise, Heaven upon Earth, from French into German: Waarer und großmütiger Christen Krieg- Sieg- und Frieden-Spiegel. [Tübingen: Werlin 1652]. The young noblewoman wrote her reliable friend, Johann Valentin Andreae, in a surprisingly confident style and tone about the genesis of this translation. Support from the network of largely aristocratic and Protestant Fruchtbringende Gesellschaft, represented by well-known members such as Andreae, Georg Philipp Harsdörffer and Johann Wilhelm von Stubenberg, was fundamental for the realization of the project in order to equalize gender-based obstructions, such as lack of cavalier tours and exclusion from university education. Therewith, in Buwinghausen’s case, members of a ‘European’ society paved the way for a young, ambitious and intellectually alert noblewoman to become an author and thus visible in the early modern republic of letters as well as on the contemporary book market.

O II Encontro Norte-Nordeste Multiprofissional em Urgência e Emergência, aconteceu entre os dias 15, 16 e 17 de agosto de 2019. În vasta contribuție exegetică a lui J. Kabatek, consideră autoarea, se remarcă, în linii mari, două direcții ale studiilor sale. Pe de o parte, cele în care dezvoltă aspecte ale lingvisticii integrale și aplică sistemul conceptual coșerian la interpretarea faptelor de limbă. Pe de altă parte, studiile în care scoate în evidență actualitatea ideilor lui Eugeniu Coșeriu sau le confruntă cu postulate ale unor curente actuale din lingvistică, demonstrând cu brio prioritatea conceptuală a lingvisticii integrale. J. Narrative imagination creates a space of learning where contemporary and historic knowledge of designed place merge. This paperdiscusses how an instructor’s curation and narration of archival material can provoke design-students to imagine narratives and actively visualize processes humans use to construct, inhabit and adjust comfort in place. The concept of narrative imagination presented in this paper is informed by traditional narrative as Marie-Laure Ryan defines it her 2005 article, Narrative and the Split Condition of Digital Textuality: (The traditionalist school) “conceives narrative as an invariant core of meaning, a core that distinguishes narrative from other types of discourse, and gives it a trans-cultural, trans-historical, and trans-medial identity.”1 The work of Gerard Genette, Levi-Strauss, Roland Barthes, Jacques Derrida, Monica Fludernik, John Fiske, James Phelan, Henry Jenkins and others is also influential.2

The tower of St. John the Baptist, known as the Scola Tower, is a small fortification with a pentagonal plan, surrounded by the sea, built by the Republic of Genoa in 1606, above a rock (Scola in the local dialect), to defend the entrance of the Gulf of La Spezia, near the island of Palmaria in Porto Venere. In 1800 it was partially destroyed by gunfire from the British fleet, which penetrated the gulf, and after that it was abandoned. When its demolition was averted in 1915 (established by the Marina Militare), given its historical interest, it was decided to convert the tower to the function of a signal lighthouse. Between 1976 and 1980 the structure received radical restoration and consolidation of the perimeter walls. Of this turret on the water, some historical plans and photographs exist, but today thanks to modern surveying techniques, such as aerial photogrammetry with drones, it has been possible to accurately scan the structure despite the inaccessibility of its location. With this survey, it was possible to process a perfect digital twin of the building, which even made it possible to make scale replicas, thanks to 3D printing. Replicas that can be a very useful source of study or beautiful souvenirs. Also, thanks to the latest frontiers of technology, such as artificial intelligence, it has been possible to increase the quality of historical photographs. This as fascinating as it is melancholy isolated turret in the middle of the sea is becoming more and more famous and well known thanks to social networks and photos taken with drones, and it is poised to become a new destination and new symbol of tourism in Liguria.

The ways of working are changing in the manufacturing industry due to new technologies and the merging of physical and virtual environments (e.g., Industry 4.0 [1], Metaverse [2]). Already, work tasks are changing from physical and routine tasks towards intellectual and social activities which often include the use of ICT tools [3]. The pandemic has changed attitudes and ways of working towards hybrid arrangements and therefore, expectations related to flexibility in work may become more pertinent also for manufacturing workers [4]. Novel technologies are being developed to support the industrial worker in the future [5], which can be called augmentation or empowerment of workers [6-8].The World Manufacturing Forum has identified the top ten skills that will be needed in future manufacturing work [9]. In our study, we wanted to add understanding of the skills and characteristics needed in future industrial work and present the results in a format that would support designers of technological tools to consider the perspective of future workers. Our goal was to create a framework of worker characteristics that could guide the design of technological tools to assist workers in work tasks requiring new skills and characteristics. To understand the transformation of work and to create a framework, we conducted a literature review and 10 expert interviews, focusing on the ways emerging technologies are expected to change the nature of industrial work. Based on the results, a framework of future industrial worker characteristics (FIW) was created. The applicability of the framework was tested by applying it in a European research project that develops software solutions for the context of modern, flexible, and data-rich manufacturing. Altogether, 19 novel software solutions that are being developed to support industrial work were mapped using the characteristics of the framework. The mapping experiment provided understanding of the relevance of the worker characteristics and the ways to support them in practice.According to the FIW framework, future industrial work will require smarter operations, which emphasizes worker capabilities in terms of mastering complexity, solving problems, making proactive decisions, and considering sustainability. Transforming work requires resilience that can be strengthened by capabilities such as creativity, the ability to lead oneself, flexibility, and continuous learning. Being interactive will be a vital part of work and can be fostered by communication, collaboration, supporting inclusiveness and interculturality, as well as sharing a safety-oriented mindset and work practices. In addition, health and well-being will have a central role in the future work. A healthy worker can be characterized as feeling motivated, balanced, capable, and focused.The FIW framework can be used by designers and industrial companies to guide the design and acquirement of novel technology solutions to support the characteristics of future industrial work, and in general, to increase understanding on transformation of industrial work from the perspective of worker skills and characteristics. Nuestra propuesta consiste en presentar un proyecto artístico personal y su vinculación con obras de reconocidos artistas contemporáneos que adoptan, como referentes formales y conceptuales, unas señales visuales espontáneas presentes en los entornos cotidianos. Rastros efímeros y transitorios generados por los comportamientos y por las interacciones de las personas, que pueden ser representativos de modelos de vida y de pensamiento en la era de la globalidad. Las obras propuestas (tanto las personales como las de referencia) formalizan y reconfiguran, en el lenguaje propio del arte, unas huellas y unos indicios visuales que no pertenecen al territorio artístico. Marcas, restos o vestigios relacionados con aspectos de las complejas consecuencias de la internacionalización económica y cultural así como del desarrollo y de la expansión de las nuevas tecnologías o de modelos de comportamiento como fundamento de identidades individuales y colectivas.
