Li, Junkang. « Games with incomplete information : complexity, algorithmics, reasoning ». Electronic Thesis or Diss., Normandie, 2023. http://www.theses.fr/2023NORMC270.
Texte intégralIn this dissertation, we study games with incomplete information. We begin by establishing a complete landscape of the complexity of computing optimal pure strategies for different subclasses of games, when games are given explicitly as input. We then study the complexity when games are represented compactly (e.g.\ by their game rules). For this, we design two formalisms for such compact representations. Then we concentrate on games with incomplete information, by first proposing a new formalism called combinatorial game with incomplete information, which encompasses games of no chance (apart from a random initial drawing) and with only public actions. For such games, this new formalism captures the notion of information and knowledge of the players in a game better than extensive form. Next, we study algorithms and their optimisations for solving combinatorial games with incomplete information; some of these algorithms are applicable beyond these games. In the last part, we present a work in progress that concerns the modelling of recursive reasoning and different types of knowledge about the behaviour of the opponents in games with incomplete information
Miras, José-Louis de. « Entre cinéma et jeu vidéo : la fiction actable : sur les traces d'une forme filmique interactive en devenir ». Thesis, Bordeaux 3, 2020. http://www.theses.fr/2020BOR30030.
Texte intégralInteractive cinema, playable movies, interactive movies: all these denominations are the demonstrations of attempts to define a cinema where the spectator would have the possibility to interact with the narration by choosing alternatives. In this kind of cinema, the spectator is able to correct and modify the narration proceeding, because of the consequences of his choices. Since its creation in 1967, interactive cinema has not stopped searching for a stable form to define itself. Throughout the years, it has respectively taken the shape respectively of cinema, Internet and finally video games. This latter seems to have been the more stable form and has been for several years. Interactive cinema is, therefore, a promising interactive filmic form to be. This thesis leads us on its traces, bounding the lines and outlines and so highlights a marginal object which shows the transformations of the field of cinema. By establishing the story of interactive cinema, we will try to understand how this complex phenomenon, which is out of the traditional field of artistic disciplines, could have an effect on the convergence between cinema and video games. It is also question of studying how the interactive narration deploys itself and how it makes the spect-actor participate; to wonder about its viability in this current context, about the creation’s conditions of such works, and finally, to highlights the sociocultural stakes of this object registered in an artistic landscape where convergence media has become a common thing
Abdelkader, Yamna. « Poétiques de la rive : la forme en jeu : la poésie de langue française issue du Maghreb (1995-2005) ». Thesis, Bordeaux 3, 2014. http://www.theses.fr/2014BOR30054.
Texte intégralThe French-language poetry from Maghreb, and more notably its aesthetics, remains a poorly researched subject, despite the numerous works produced by several dedicated authors. The following research document aims to identify the native and acquired cultural elements constituting a poem, basing itself in a collection belonging to six poets who have crossed the Mediterranean and have established themselves in France: Malek Alloula, Jamel Eddine Bencheikh, Abdelwahab Meddeb, Zaghloul Morsy and Amina Saïd. The chosen period (1995 – 2005) allows a comparison between the formal novelty and poetry writing and their relevance to the duality of both French and Maghreb tradition, such as they are present in the dawn of the new millennium. The visual elements of a poem, as well as its vocal form and its enunciation techniques, are highlighted by means of a linguistic and literary study approach, using poetics and inter-semiotics. These indicate the elements specific to Maghreb poetry written in France, in contrast to both French poetry in general and French-language poetry from Maghreb

Texte intégralEmpirical objective : To approach the tarot as a cultural object. To present the multi-facets of the modern divinatory practice and its "baroque style". To show that the tarot is, in a new age californien setting, a tool for individual transformation participating to the collective project of bringing the aquarion age and a new spirituality methodological objective : to use a historical and imaginary approach of a cultural object and a contemporary social practice (to use micro-sociological methods of research seen as (interviews, life histories observant participation)). To shedy "from the inside" a social form. To "become the phenomenon" theoretical objective :. To describe a neo-tribal community (organized as a social network) in which the "affect", the "informel", the "proxemique", and the "ephemenous" are the dominant values. To see in the tarot a "sur-adaptation" to modernity, a social contestation, and an social force of innovation

Texte intégralHistory is the knowledge of men's life in the past. But the historian necessarily has a retrospective approach, in contradiction to life which is, by definition, forward-looking. In aiming to resolve this tension, historical knowledge involves the act of thought by which we act as if we were living in the era we seek to know. Acting "as if" we were living such and such an experience is playing. More specifically, the video game brings the player through representation in a particular universe whose consistency lies in the resistance and, on the other hand, the support it offers to the player's enterprises. The video game form is likely to allow the player to experience past times in the present. However, this specific form of representation has never been developed or used in a proper scholarly perspective, and it is far from being naturel for the historian to use it as the medium of development and transmission of knowledge. The epistemological review of its own resources leads us not only to question Ricoeur's position that narrative is the exclusive form of historical knowledge, but also to design a new kind of video game that allows us to experience ways of life of bygone societies ; the player's personal journey in this social space proceeds from interactions with non-player characters whose individuation process also results from the intertwining between enterprises of all characters in social relations which have historically defined forms

Texte intégralWe are consciously or unconsciously influenced by scientism and logical positivism. So we asked a question: Can we speak of God today? To answer the question, we focus on two philosophers, Wittgenstein and Simone Weil. According to Wittgenstein, “Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one must be silent.” What he means by that is not that God doesn’t exist or that God is not intelligible as say scientism and logical positivism. What he means by that is that God does exist, but we can’t talk about him because of the limits of our language. But the lack of Wittgenstein is to look away from religious or metaphysical intelligibility. As for Simone Weil, she speaks of God in her writings and letters. What allows her to speak of God? This is our first point of interest. And our second point of interest is to define the mystical experience of Simone Weil, because the use of the word “mystical” in studies of Weil is rather arbitrary. Our third point of interest is to highlight the relationship between “non-reading” and intuition in Simone Weil. Our fourth point of interest is to explore the relationship between Zen Buddhism and the thought of Simone Weil. Through studying them, we will answer this question and, through Weil’s concept of intuition, we propose a worldview that is different from scientism and from logical positivism
