Expressions that contribute side issues, including at least expressives, supplements, and epithets, take scope only at the level of a complete utterance. Kubota and Uegaki 2009 give a compositional semantics for side-issues, but do not explain why at-issue content never interacts with side issues. We draw an analogy with indexicals, which also depend on context but typically do not interact with surrounding semantic material. As with indexicals, side-issue content motivates staged interpretation: an at-issue stage, and a context update stage. We show how the undelimited continuations provided by Bernardi and Moortgat's 2010 Lambek Grishin calculus can provide a principled way to regulate interdimensional interaction.

Résumé :
Abstract: The Spiral Multiverse Theory suggests a continuous, spiral pattern universe from the same singularity connected by a common point as everyverse, challenging the conventional Big Bang theory. Every universe starts with a bang. An interdimensional quasar serves as the portal connecting all of the universes to everyverse. Individual universes are connected, but they are observably stable. The theory offers a fresh viewpoint on cosmic evolution and a possible path for practical research by presenting the idea of interdimensional quasars as portals for multiverse travel. The research explores the unique characteristics of the multi-bang process. The study suggests that each universe undergoes its own inflation without observable changes in the cosmic microwave background.

Résumé :
This descriptive study delves into the enigmatic nature of the “Jersey Devil,” an enduring legend of a cryptid from New Jersey (USA) while acknowledging its historical and folklore roots. The absence of tangible evidence regarding the alleged creature’s existence has often prompted explorations into metaphysical and supernatural explanations. Accordingly, three sets of theories about the creature’s origin are considered: terrestrial, interdimensional, and extraterrestrial. Events associated with the Jersey Devil compare well to, and might be linked with, documented flurries of accounts involving cryptids, UFOs, and high strangeness at alleged “paranormal” hotspots like Skinwalker Ranch in Utah and Point Pleasant in West Virginia. Caution is needed when considering esoteric theories, but the consistency of sightings over time might argue for the possibility of interdimensional or extraterrestrial entities. Finally, the paper discusses the notion of the Jersey Devil phenomenon serving as a control mechanism or a means of instilling fear of the unknown.

Résumé :
Morphometric analysis of trees can help in the selection of the most suitable species in urban areas, by allowing us to understand the dynamics of tree growth forms. The objective was to develop a morphometric index for trees located in green areas of Curitiba, Paraná. 122 trees of the five species with the highest number of records of fall and removal in Curitiba were selected: Tipuana tipu, Jacaranda mimosifolia, Erythrina falcata, Melia azedarach and Ligustrum lucidum, in the Passeio Público Municipal of Curitiba and in nine squares located in the Centro district. From the biometric data obtained in the field, the Integrated Morphometric Index (IMI) was calculated through multivariate factorial analysis performed in the statistical software IBM SPSS® Statistics. There was low variability between interdimensional sizes, indicating a pattern of growth among species, especially for T. tipu. On the other hand, J. mimosifolia, E. falcata and M. azedarach present greater variability of the morphometric data, with trees of size considerably higher than the average of the others, while L. lucidum was the species with the smallest interdimensional size. The biometric variables total height, crown height, north crown radius, east crown radius and DBH were the most correlated with the tree growth pattern, explaining 57.9% of the data variation. The generated IMI was adequate to evaluate the behavior of the variables, as it explained 72% of the data variation. The T. tipu trees showed the lowest variability between their interdimensional sizes, thus indicating a more evident growth pattern for this species.

This study aimed to determine the correlation between body dimensions in female Ettawa crossbreed goats, which had been carried out in Rano Jaya Village, Toari District, Kolaka Regency. The parameters calculated in this study were 21 parameters from 7 body dimensions in goats and 35 study samples. Then the parameters of this study were calculated using the Correlation Coefficient formula to find the level of correlation between body dimensions in female Ettawa crossbreed goats. Based on the results of the study obtained several quantitative properties of female Ettawa crossbreed goat morphology which were observed among them were body surface size. The average linear dimension of the body surface and the standard deviation include: shoulder height (64.12 ± 3.09), chest (29.30 ± 1.72), chest circumference (80.94 ± 5.64), chest width (17.15 ± 1.64), hip height (69.21 ± 2.15), hip width (21.46 ± 3.10) and body length (65.79 ± 4.50) grouped according to physiological status. Calculating of the dimensions of the female Ettawa crossbreed goat body size did not get a perfect correlation, but there were 3 variables that had a very strong (positive) correlation, namely Chest Circumference - Hip Width (0.82), Chest Circumference - Body Length (0.83) and Hip Width - Body Length (0.83). It can be concluded that the dimensions of Ettawa crossbreed female goat's body of 21 variables observed were only three variables which had a correlation value close to 1 indicating a very strong or positively correlated relationship, and it could be said that increasing body size (x) increases body size (y).

Résumé :
This paper investigates the impact of corporate boards’ gender diversity on voluntary public disclosure of climate change risks in an emerging economy context in which environmental regulations are weak and markets are ineffective. The investigation relies on data from the CDP (formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project) as a corporate sustainability reporting initiative supported by institutional investors, based on a sample of Turkish firms that were invited to disclose their climate change risks and greenhouse gas emissions over the period of 2010–2019 through the CDP platform. We report that the presence of women on board committees, as a proxy for their active involvement in corporate governance, increases the likelihood of voluntary climate change disclosure. We, on the other hand, found no evidence of a positive impact on climate change reporting with women’s overall representation in boards. These findings lend support to board reforms that aim to increase effective representation of women on boards for the better management of sustainability risks and responsiveness to stakeholder demands in countries where legislators are reluctant to introduce climate change reforms.

Résumé :
The authors succinctly note that contemporary studies of nationalism tend towards oversimplification. This oversimplification is manifested in a tacit and serious misrepresentation. The misrepresentation is a bifurcation of the colonial experience into the primary or self and the other. Such a manifestation is best represented by Said (1978) in terms of “orientalism.” Such a binary configuration of the colonial experience is an oversimplification for two reasons. First, it fails to acknowledge the interdimensional diversity of the colonized. To ignore interdimensional diversity is to fail to account for the role that gender and class play in the construct of the colonized. Second, binary configurations tend to misrepresent path dependence or the historical unfolding of particular nationalisms. In this sense, nationalism acquires an assumption of natural progression in terms of rights and welfare. The authors challenge the assumption that gender rights are acquired consummately in conjunction with nationalism. Instead, the authors make the argument that nationalism often acquires a regressive effect in terms of gender-class rights and welfare. As an example, Sharzad Mojab notes that Kurdish nationalism has had a conflictive relationship with the progression of women's welfare in addition to rights. Contemporary Kurdish nationalism has tended towards the regression of women's welfare. The root causes of a resort to regression are noted by Mojab to lie in the failure to effectively transform the preexisting precapitalist gender and class structure.

Résumé :
Sea surface temperature (SST) is one of the most important and widely used physical parameters for oceanography and meteorology. To obtain SST, in addition to direct measurement, remote sensing, and numerical models, a variety of data-driven models have been developed with a wealth of SST data being accumulated. As oceans are comprehensive and complex dynamic systems, the distribution and variation of SST are affected by various factors. To overcome this challenge and improve the prediction accuracy, a multi-variable long short-term memory (LSTM) model is proposed which takes wind speed and air pressure at sea level together with SST as inputs. Furthermore, two attention mechanisms are introduced to optimize the model. An interdimensional attention strategy, which is similar to the positional encoding matrix, is utilized to focus on important historical moments of multi-dimensional input; a self-attention strategy is adopted to smooth the data during the training process. Forty-three-year monthly mean SST and meteorological data from the fifth-generation ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) reanalysis (ERA5) are collected to train and test the model for the sea areas around China. The performance of the model is evaluated in terms of different statistical parameters, namely the coefficient of determination, root mean squared error, mean absolute error and mean average percentage error, with a range of 0.9138–0.991, 0.3928–0.8789, 0.3213–0.6803, and 0.1067–0.2336, respectively. The prediction results indicate that it is superior to the LSTM-only model and models taking SST only as input, and confirm that our model is promising for oceanography and meteorology investigation.

This paper explains step-by-step how to construct the 3D Pythagoras' theorem by geometric manipulation of the two dimensional version. In it is shown how $x+y=z$ (1D Pythagoras' theorem) transforms into $x^2+y^2=z^2$ (2D Pythagoras' theorem) via two steps: a 90-degree rotation, and a perpendicular extrusion. Similarly, the 2D Pythagoras' theorem transforms into 3D using the same steps. Octahedrons emerge naturally during this transformation process. Hence, each of the two dimensional elements has a direct three dimensional equivalent. Just like squares govern the 2D, octahedrons are the basic elements that govern the geometry of the 3D Pythagoras' theorem. As a conclusion, the geometry of the 3D Pythagoras' theorem is a natural evolution of the 1D and 2D. This interdimensional evolution begs the question -- Is there a bigger theorem at play that encompasses all three?

The proper choice of the modeling method for morphometric tree crown estimates is important to optimize measurement and support silvicultural decision-making. This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of interdimensional morphometric relationships modeling of eucalypt crown under different spacings using logistic regression and Support Vector Machines (SVM). The experiment was set up with four spacings (T1: 3.0 × 0.5 m; T2: 3.0 × 1.0 m; T3: 3.0 × 1.5 m and T4: 3.0 × 2.0 m). A continuous forest inventory was carried out at the ages of 24, 37, 48, 59 and 72 months. Two modeling methods, one using nonlinear regression (logistic model) and the other using SVM, were tested. The range, salience and vital space indexes decreased with increasing tree stem dimensions, tending to stabilization. The logistic model was satisfactorily adapted to the problems, more specifically in prediction of the first two indexes. SVM modeling using radial base Kernel function can be used with good precision for crown morphometric indexes estimation of eucalypt, simultaneously, for different planting spacings.

Résumé :
Tourists’ activity patterns result from complex interactions between time–space constraints and cognitive, social, cultural, and emotional factors. Accordingly, tourists’ intradestination activity is studied today from multiple perspectives. Yet knowledge regarding the interrelationships between these factors is limited. The current research aims to contribute to the bridging of this gap, by studying tourists’ activity patterns and the time–space resource allocation decisions they reflect. Using a smartphone application, 384 tourists’ activity days in the cities of Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem were tracked and characterized in terms of resource allocation patterns, identifying three distinct behavioral patterns. The effects of various personal and external factors on group membership were then assessed. The results uncover complex relationships between various decision-making dimensions, where interdimensional interactions occur at multiple spatial scales and decision-making instances. These findings suggest that activity patterns emerge from a decision time–space in which effects are contingent upon each other across scales and behavioral dimensions.

Résumé :
The aim of the present paper was to test the effects of response mode (choice vs. judgment) on decision-making strategies when subjects were faced with the task of deciding the adequacy of a set of tests for a specific assessment situation. Compared with choice, judgment was predicted to lead to more information sought, more time spent on the task, a less variable pattern of search, and a greater amount of interdimensional search. Three variables hypothesized as potential moderators of the response mode effects are also studied: time pressure, information load and decision importance. Using an information board, 300 subjects made decisions (choices and judgments) on tests for a concrete assessment situation, under high or low time pressure, high or low information load, and high or low decision importance. Response mode produced strong effects on all measures of decision behavior except for pattern of search. Moderator effects occurred for time pressure and information load.

Résumé :
Depression in young people is considered a public health problem, given that it affects their personal, social, and academic lives; therefore, early detection of depressive symptoms is of importance for a favorable prognosis. This study aimed to estimate the psychometric properties of the second edition of the Reynolds Adolescent Depression Scale (RADS-2) in Peruvian adolescents. The sample was composed of 917 Peruvian adolescents, aged 13 to 18 years (M = 15,241, SD = 1,020), who were selected from two public educational institutions in Metropolitan Lima. Confirmatory factor analysis supported the 25-item model with the four-dimensional structure and its overall and interdimensional reliability. This structure was found to be gender invariant. Finally, network analysis was performed to assess the relationships and centralities of the depressive symptoms of the validated version of the RADS-2. The results show that the RADS-2 measure is a consistent and reliable test that yields valid results in the Peruvian adolescent context.

Résumé :
Despite a large body of literature on online reviews, none have considered the nuanced impacts of how multidimensional reviews affect product sales differently for mainstream vs. niche products. This study seeks to fill this knowledge gap by conducting complementary studies in two product categories (i.e., automobiles and laptops) with different methods (a field study and three lab experiments). Our paper reveals three key insights into the emerging literature and phenomenon on multidimensional review systems: (1) the interdimensional rating variance is more negatively related to product sales for mainstream products than for niche products in the same category, (2) the intradimensional rating valence on the dominant dimension of a product is more positively related to product sales for niche products than for mainstream products, and (3) the intradimensional rating variance on the dominant dimension of a product is more negatively related to product sales for niche products than for mainstream products. Our research provides important managerial implications for both product providers and review platforms.
