Résumé :
The article is devoted to the study of electronic economy and artificial intelligence from the point of view of their influence on economic theory. Economic theory is still a science that studies the world of things and the economic relations between people and their economic behavior. At the same time, special importance is attached to the effective use of limited material resources in order to create more wealth. All this is becoming unattainable in the age of information technology, the digital economy, which strengthen the intangible forms of capital and its impact on human life. Therefore, the task is to show how the electronic economy can affect economic science, and how economic science can contribute to the development of this economy.

Résumé :
This article explored human capital intelligence and economic development in Zimbabwe with some examples adopted from Israel and many other countries. A qualitative-exploratory literature review methodology was used for the purpose of this study because of its suitability. The primary concern of the author was to have and provide an in-depth analysis and understanding of the multiple realities and truths pertaining to human capital intelligence and economic development in Zimbabwe. An inductive approach was adopted for the purpose of this study. The findings of this article will make it possible to generalise the role of human capital intelligence towards economic development of a country and to develop some valuable propositions for future studies. The findings showed that human capital intelligence plays a critical role in economic development, through laying a foundation for economic development, attracting foreign direct investment, personal remittances, as well as attracting venture capitalists. Empirical evidence from countries such as Israel shows the criticality of human capital intelligence development to economic development of a nation. This article will assist business managers, societal leaders, policymakers, as well as governments to understand the criticality of human capital intelligence towards the development of a company, society and nation at large. This article has, therefore, academic, societal and business value. Keywords: Zimbabwe, economic development, human capital, intelligence, intellectual capital. JEL Classification: O1, J41, O34

The concept of permanent revolution was formulated in the XIX century became a subject of constant debate in humanities circle. In contrast-scientific and technological revolutions are natural components at all steps of human development. Their permanence is commonly recognized imperative, followed by numerous confirmations with a convincing inevitability. Information and industrial revolutions taking place now in the world are such evidences. Experts declare today the fourth industrial revolution. Peter Drucker fairly predicted the fourth information revolution. It is interesting that the most important trait of both revolutions is the artificial intelligence which functions in the sphere of Big Data and Internet of Things. The application field (not the only) is the economy-its structure and content. Experts state the emergence of information capitalism and the information economy — innovations obtaining special and revolutional traits. The article is devoted to analysis of main components of the innovations and offers the ways how they should be reflected in the curriculum for modern economists and managers.

Résumé :
AbstractThe history of AI in economics is long and winding, much the same as the evolving field of AI itself. Economists have engaged with AI since its beginnings, albeit in varying degrees and with changing focus across time and places. In this study, we have explored the diffusion of AI and different AI methods (e.g., machine learning, deep learning, neural networks, expert systems, knowledge-based systems) through and within economic subfields, taking a scientometrics approach. In particular, we centre our accompanying discussion of AI in economics around the problems of economic calculation and social planning as proposed by Hayek. To map the history of AI within and between economic sub-fields, we construct two datasets containing bibliometrics information of economics papers based on search query results from the Scopus database and the EconPapers (and IDEAs/RePEc) repository. We present descriptive results that map the use and discussion of AI in economics over time, place, and subfield. In doing so, we also characterise the authors and affiliations of those engaging with AI in economics. Additionally, we find positive correlations between quality of institutional affiliation and engagement with or focus on AI in economics and negative correlations between the Human Development Index and share of learning-based AI papers.

Résumé :
The use of Gardner’s multiple intelligences (MI) theory is touted as one of the ideal ways of teaching students with diverse intelligences. However, there appears to be paucity of research in this area of knowledge. This study, therefore, explored the application of multiple intelligences approach in the teaching of Economics. The study was a quantitative research that adopted the descriptive cross-sectional survey design. In total, 100 senior high school teachers were selected for the study. Data were collected by the use of a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, ranging from “never” to “very frequently.” Descriptive (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (MANOVA) were used to analyse the data. The study revealed that Economics teachers frequently used interpersonal intelligences in teaching Economics. Additionally, it was found out that there was a statistically significant difference in the application of bodily-kinesthetic intelligence approach in the teaching of Economics based on Economics teachers’ teaching experience. However, the findings of the study showed no statistically significant difference in the Economics teachers’ application of MI approach in the teaching of Economics based on their gender. It was, thus, recommended that Ghana Education Service, Ministry of Education, and Non-Governmental Organisations should organise seminars and conferences for teachers to deepen their understanding of the application of the MI approach in the teaching of Economics. In addition, heads of senior high schools should organise professional development programmes and conferences to enable teachers acquire information on the following domains of MI: logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, musical, and naturalistic intelligences.

Introduction. The versatility of the components of the human intelligence system, applied aspects of the mechanisms of formation of activity behavior of the individual in terms of its economic choices are considered. Research methods. The basis of methodological research is the methods of empirical and theoretical research: the use of a systematic approach in the analysis of theoretical foundations and practice in the field of behavioral economics. To achieve this goal, the following research methods were used: system and logical analysis, the method of analogies, systematization and generalization. Results. The versatility of the essence of the category "human intelligence" is investigated. The trinity model of human intelligence, which determines the influences, individual and collective life priorities, choices, including economic ones, is examined in more detail. The neural and psychological aspects of the brain and the tools that influence our human beliefs, desires, needs, financial choices, shape actions and personal economic behavior in general are considered. The essential characteristic of the definition of the economy of intelligence is given. The role and essence of human intelligence in the context of modern research of the transdisciplinary approach to economic choices of behavior of subjects in the conditions of interaction are substantiated. Perspectives. Further research on various aspects of human intelligence is important in the context of election economics, financial thinking, and entrepreneurship, in terms of a qualitatively new institutional plane of development of relations between educational services in the current realities of socio-economic development and economic reset at the national, regional and local levels..

Résumé :
In the last half-century, the economic relations between countries have become more difficult to manage. Economic intelligence is a new complex and multidisciplinary concept introduced to help countries to interact in the new more complex scenario. The intelligence involves researching and finding informative asymmetries between two actors to use the obtained information for economic purposes. This study makes use of a new scientific theoretical approach to explore the economic intelligence concept represented by different contributions in academic literature. As a result, a lexicographic definition of the economic intelligence concept is proposed as a specialized elucidation that involves a theoretical approach to form information set for developing strategies of international economic relations between countries.

Résumé :
It has long been surmised that the Paduan singer, lutenist and composer Angelo Notari (1566–1663) was employed as a spy after immigrating to England circa 1610. In examining Venetian counterintelligence papers previously neglected by musicologists, I here confirm that Notari was indeed an intelligencer. More specifically, he was a paid informant for the Venetian State Inquisitors between 1616 and 1619 and participated in a contentious international trial concerning the Venetian ambassador to England, Antonio Foscarini. I argue that Notari's work as a musician was inextricable from his identity as an intelligencer and former Venetian citizen and demonstrate that Italian musicians in Jacobean London significantly influenced international diplomatic relations. By identifying intersections between the two highly social practices of music-making and intelligence-gathering, I encourage greater musicological attention to political networks that transmitted music across borders and, conversely, musical networks that transmitted political intelligence. I thus situate seventeenth-century musical transculturation within its broader diplomatic, confessional and economic contexts.

Résumé :
The goal of the thesis is to highlight the main uses and impacts of artificial intelligence to consumers’ life in high-tech cities such as Singapore. The different ways to exploit artificial intelligence in consumers daily life is explored and the overall impact to society as a whole. Current technology development is substantially rapid which affects various aspects of societies. The article considers advantages and disadvantages of the artificial intelligence to consumers, especially the ethical consideration of artificialintelligence which is becoming increasingly powerful issue. However, artificial intelligence’s development has started with momentum that is challenging to halt, thus, the question is whether we are able to maintain superior control over artificial intelligence. The importance of in-depth understanding of high-tech societies such as Singapore under the impact of artificial intelligence. This type of exploration can suggest various different changes in close future, for instance, concerning economy, transportation, healthcare and communication. Globally, these are issues that are intensely linked to the people’s daily lives affecting substantially to societies, for instance, economical algorithms are carried out already by the artificial intelligence which creates opportunities and threats. Artificial intelligence’s opportunities and threats are still under control, but great number of scholars have been arguing the moment the artificial intelligence is able to begin thinking about its strengths and weaknesses itself. Also, multiple societies and countries have been considering heavily investing into artificial intelligence which can provide substantial advantages to different aspects of society. In addition, greater and growing dependency on artificial intelligence will create vacuum of real human power in societies. Nevertheless, artificial intelligence carries disadvantages for societies too which needs to be scrutinized.

Résumé :
More and more companies operate today in a worldwide market under conditions of globalization, increased complexity, and competition. In such an environment, business decisions need to be made quickly yet intelligent, substantiated by the most salient and relevant information available. Under the global competition, with a diligent and measured manner, many companies are increasingly treating business like an economic war. Enterprises are methodically monitoring and investigating their competitors, while deploying all the resources they have at their disposal in order to beat their current or future rivals. Competitive Intelligence (CI) has become the ‘latest weapon in the world war of economics’. This paper contributes to the growing body of literature on competitive intelligence by synthesizing knowledge stemming from many years of experience in the standardization arena. The authors aim to show how, in the economic war, engaging in committee-based standards development may be used for winning the competition battle.

Abstract In a post-Cold War environment countries live in a state of permanent economic warfare. Political alliances are more and more fragile, and while countries have compete every day on the global market in order to survive, only those with a structured system can prevail. Economic intelligence is the most advanced political and economic theory of state management, which also offers the framework for private-public cooperation. In defining economic intelligence and analyzing some examples of structured foreign systems, this article aims to show that in a globalized world countries can be competitive and safe only by adopting an economic intelligence strategy. Within such a scenario Slovenia, despite contemplating the defence of national economic interests through the Law on Slovenian Intelligence and Security Agency, has no comprehensive strategy to defend or promote its economic interests by a structured economic intelligence system. Policy makers must take into consideration reforms that could guarantee the country’s future economic efficiency and security. Key words: economic intelligence, secret services, security, development

Résumé :
Abstract This paper extends the growing literature on knowledge economy by investigating the effect of intelligence on economic diversification. Using a battery of estimation techniques that are robust to endogeneity, we find that human capital has positive correlations with export diversification, manufactured added value and export manufactures. This empirical evidence is based on a world sample of 170 countries for the year 2010. The findings have significant implications for the fight against the Dutch disease. In essence, investing in human capital could bring economic diversity and therefore dampen negative external shocks related to resource-dependence. Other knowledge-economy implications are discussed.

Résumé :
This paper presents an integrated and distributed intelligent system being capable of automatically estimating and updating large-size economic models. The input-output model of economics uses a matrix representation of a nation’s (or a region’s) economy to predict the effect of changes in one industry on others and by consumers, government, and foreign suppliers on the economy (Miller & Blair, 1985). To construct the model reflecting the underlying industry structure faithfully, multiple sources of data are collected and integrated together. The system in this paper facilitates this estimation process by integrating a series of components with the purposes of data retrieval, data integration, machine learning, and quality checking. More importantly, the complexity of national economy leads to extremely large-size models to represent every detail of an economy, which requires the system to have the capacity for processing large amounts of data. This paper demonstrates that the major bottleneck is the memory allocation, and to include more memory, the machine learning component is built on a distributed platform and constructs the matrix by analyzing historical and spatial data simultaneously. This system is the first distributed matrix estimation package for such a large-size economic matrix.

Résumé :
Two recent failures of the U.S. intelligence system have led to the creation of high-level investigative commissions. The failure to prevent the terrorist attacks of 9/11 prompted the creation of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (2004), or 9/11 Commission. The mistaken belief that Saddam Hussein had retained weapons of mass destruction prompted the creation of the Commission on the Intelligence Capabilities of the United States Regarding Weapons of Mass Destruction (2005), or the WMD Commission. In this paper, we use insights from organizational economics to analyze the principal organizational issues these commissions have raised in the ongoing discussion about how to prevent intelligence failures.
