In terms of an arbitrary limit process T, defined abstractly for real functions, we define in a novel way a T-continuous integral of Perron type, admitting mean value theorems, integration by parts and the analogue of the Marcinkiewicz theorem for the ordinary Perron integral. The integral is shown to include, as particular cases, the various known continuous, approximately continuous, cesàro-continuous, mean-continuous and proximally Cesàro-continuous integrals of Perron and Denjoy types. An interesting generalization of the classical Lebesgue decomposition theorem is also obtained.

The notion of Denjoy integrals of abstract functions was first intro- duced by A. Alexiewicz [1]. His descriptive definitions are based upon a concept of the approximate derivative. In this paper we present another descriptive definition for the Denjoy-Perron integral of abstract functions - via the parametric derivative of Tolstov [8]. Some properties of this integral are examined.

AbstractIn this paper weak Perron integrals are characterized as n-dimensional interval functions F which are additive, differentiable almost everywhere in the weak sense and which satisfy a new continuity condition concerning the singular set. Before, only one-dimensional Perron integrals were characterized by the theorem of Hake- Alexendrov-Looman, and analogous results for strong Perron integrals (which are best analyzed, but more restrictive) are not available in higher dimensions yet. In order to formulate our continuity condition we introduce an outer measure μ by means of a new weak variation of F which is required to vanish on all null sets. The same condition is also necessary and sufficient for the integral of the weak derivative to yield the original interval function. This “fundamental theorem” is split into two fundamental inequalities of very general nature which contain additional singular terms involving our variation. These inequalities are very useful also for Lebesgue integrals.

Since the time of Cauchy, integration theory has in the main been an attempt to regain the Eden of Newton. In that idyllic time [. . . ] derivatives and integrals were [. . . ] different aspects of the same thing. -Peter Bullen, as quoted in [24] The theory of integration has gone through many changes in the past centuries and, in particular, there has been a tension between the Riemann and the Lebesgue approach to integration. Riemann's definition is often the first integral to be introduced in undergraduate studies, while Lebesgue's integral is more powerful but also more complicated and its methods are often postponed until graduate or advanced undergraduate studies. The integral presented in this paper is due to the work of Ralph Henstock and Jaroslav Kurzweil. By a simple exchange of the criterion for integrability in Riemann's definition a powerful integral with many properties of the Lebesgue integral was found. Further, the generalized Riemann integral expands the class of integrable functions with respect to Lebesgue integrals, while there is a characterization of the Lebesgue integral in terms of absolute integrability. As this definition expands the class of functions beyond absolutely integrable functions, some theorems become more cumbersome to prove in contrast to elegant results in Lebesgue's theory and some important properties in composition are lost. Further, it is not as easily abstracted as the Lebesgue integral. Therefore, the generalized Riemann integral should be thought of as a complement to Lebesgue's definition and not as a replacement.

Under den idylliska perioden [. . . ] var derivator och integraler [. . . ] olika sidor av samma mynt.-Peter Bullen, citerad i [24] Under de senaste århundradena har integrationsteori genomgått många förändringar och framförallt har det funnits en spänning mellan Riemanns och Lebesgues respektive angreppssätt till integration. Riemanns definition är ofta den första integral som möter en student pa grundutbildningen, medan Lebesgues integral är kraftfullare. Eftersom Lebesgues definition är mer komplicerad introduceras den först i forskarutbildnings- eller avancerade grundutbildningskurser. Integralen som framställs i det här examensarbetet utvecklades av Ralph Henstock och Jaroslav Kurzweil. Genom att på ett enkelt sätt ändra kriteriet for integrerbarhet i Riemanns definition finner vi en kraftfull integral med många av Lebesgueintegralens egenskaper. Vidare utvidgar den generaliserade Riemannintegralen klassen av integrerbara funktioner i jämförelse med Lebesgueintegralen, medan vi samtidigt erhåller en karaktärisering av Lebesgueintegralen i termer av absolutintegrerbarhet. Eftersom klassen av generaliserat Riemannintegrerbara funktioner är större än de absolutintegrerbara funktionerna blir vissa satser mer omständiga att bevisa i jämforelse med eleganta resultat i Lebesgues teori. Därtill förloras vissa viktiga egenskaper vid sammansättning av funktioner och även möjligheten till abstraktion försvåras. Integralen ska alltså ses som ett komplement till Lebesgues definition och inte en ersättning.

El proyecto nace de la necesidad de los dueños de perros de tener fácil acceso a clinicas veterinarias autorizadas tanto para los servicios regulares como de emergencias. De esa necesidad identificada, nace el seguro médico integral para perros el cual ofrece diversos paquetes médicos. La principal fuente de ingreso será la venta de los paquetes con precios en un rango de S/ 80.00 a S/ 200.00 según el paquete. La inversión inicial requiere un total de S/.280,049.12 incluidos los S/ 33,900.40 en activos fijos tangibles e intangibles cuyo financiamiento será de 60% capital social y 40% inversionista ; es decir, S/.168,029.47 y S/112,019.65 respectivamente. Por otro lado, la empresa deberá generar ingresos anuales equivalentes a S/ 373,585.339 para poder cubrir sus obligaciones financieras sin generar perdida ni utilidad. Para el 1er año de ventas, se estiman ingresos de hasta S/ 1,022,304.17 sin incluir IGV. La proyección de ventas nace de la estadística obtenida en la cual se obtuvo una tasa de aceptación de más de 50% en el landing page desde el primer momento identificando así la necesidad que tienen los dueños de sus mascotas de afiliar a algún tipo de seguro a fin de sentir tranquilidad. Estas cifras son alentadoras, sobre todo el margen neto proyectado para el primer año, obteniendo el 36% de margen por cada sol que se venderá lo cual afianza la viabilidad del proyecto.
The project arises from the need of dog owners to have easy access to authorized veterinary clinics for both regular and emergency services. From this identified need, comprehensive medical insurance for dogs is born, which offers various medical packages. The main source of income will be the sale of the packages with prices in a range of S / 80.00 to S / 200.00 according to the package. The initial investment requires a total of S / .280,049.12 including S / 33,900.40 in tangible and intangible fixed assets whose financing will be 60% social capital and 40% investor; that is, S / .168,029.47 and S / 112,019.65 respectively. On the other hand, the company must generate annual revenues equivalent to S / 373,585,339 in order to cover its financial obligations without generating loss or profit. For the 1st year of sales, revenues of up to S / 1,022,304.17 are estimated without including IGV. The sales projection is based on the statistics obtained in which an acceptance rate of more than 50% was obtained on the landing page from the first moment, thus identifying the need that the owners of their pets have to affiliate to some type of insurance in order to feel tranquility. These figures are encouraging, especially the net margin projected for the first year, obtaining 36% margin for each "nuevo sol" that will be sold, which strengthens the viability of the project.

Neste trabalho, apresentamos novos critérios para a existência de soluções oscilatórias e não oscilatórias de equações diferenciais funcionais em medida com impulsos, separando-as em duas classes: equações diferenciais funcionais retardadas e equações diferenciais funcionais com argumento avançado. Tratamos das formas integrais destas equações diferenciais usando as integrais de Perron e Perron-Stieltjes. Assim, as funções envolvidas podem ter muitas descontinuidades e/ou podem ser de variação ilimitada.
In this work, we present new criteria for the existence of oscillatory and nonoscillatory solutions of measure functional differential equations with impulses, separating them into two classes: delay differential equations and functional differential equations with advanced argument. We deal with the integral forms of the differential equations using the Perron and the Perron-Stieltjes integrals. Thus the functions involved can have many discontinuities and/or they can be of unbounded variation.

Lietuvoje daugelis pedagogų domisi bendruomenine pedagogika. Jie pripažįsta, kad bendruomeniškumo stiprinimas ugdymo įstaigose būtinas dėl psichologinių ir praktinių tikslų.Ugdymas bendrystės atmosferoje - tai pozitytvi vaikų socializacija, taip pat galimybė suteikti tėvams pozityvios tėvystės įgūdžių. Be to tai labai motyvuojantis ir gerų rezultatų teikiantis projektas. Tačiau Lietuvoje trūksta išbaigtos bendruomeniškumą kaip vertybę teigiančios ugdymo sistemos. Šiame darbe yra tiriama unikali ugdymo metodika, kuri ontologiniu ugdymo principu pasirinko, būtent, santykį. Agaciškosios bendrystės pedagogikos tikslas - integralus vaiko asmenybės formavimas, tai konkretus ir besitęsiantis indėlis į kultūrą ir taiką. Į šį "Saulės spindulio" darželį Kroatijoje, įsteigtą 1995 m. priimami įvairių etninių grupių ir religijų pabėgėlių vaikai iš karo zonų. Jie ugdomi visuotinės brolystės dvasia, perteikiant davimo, priėmimo ir taikos kultūrą. Šio darbo tikslas - atskleisti krikščioniškosios antropologijos matmenis agaciškoje bendrystės pedagogikoje. Terinis tyrimas ir ekspertų išvados parodė, kad ši pedagogika gali padėti efektyviai spręsti aktualias ugdymo problemas.
In Lithuania many educators are interested in Community Pedagogy. Last Year Lithuanian University of Education had organized scientific-practical Conference “Strengthening the school community”. Participants of the Conference emphasized that strengthening of community of educational institutions is necessary for the psychological and practical goals. There was identified some educational problems: education has lost its character; cooperation often becomes a temporary corporate agreements; children often feel a strong close, warm relationship deficits, lack of individual attention. In this context training in the atmosphere of fellowship is positive and potentially effective the socialization of children. This conclusion is also the opportunity to give parents positive parenting skills. All experience suggests that community development in educational institutions is highly motivating and provides good education results. However this process has its own difficulties. The main challenge is a lack of holistic community-based education system. This work aims to analyze experimental methodology for teaching, where ontological principle of development was chosen, namely, the ratio. This is Agazzi Community Pedagogy, which was introduced in kindergarten "Sunbeam" in Croatia. The project started in 1995, following the dramatic conflict severely affected Croatian, Bosnian and Serbian nations. Since the introduction of the Riemann integral in the middle of the nineteenth century, integration theory has been subject to significant breakthroughs on a relatively frequent basis. We have now reached a point where integration theory has been thoroughly researched to a point where one has to delve quite deep into a particular subject in order to encounter open conjectures. In education the Riemann integral has for quite some time been the standard integral in elementary analysis courses and as the complexity of these courses incrementally increase the more general Lebesgue integral eventually becomes the standard integral.  Unfortunately, in the transition from the Riemann integral to the Lebesgue integral there are certain topics of pure theoretical interest which to a certain extent are neglected. This is particularly the case for topics regarding the inverse relationship between differential and integral calculus and the integration of exceedingly complicated functions which for example might be of a highly oscillatory nature. From an applied mathematician's point of view, the partial neglection of these topics in the case of highly problematic functions might be justified in the sense that this theory is unnecessary for modeling most problems that appear in nature. From a theoretician's point of view however this negligence is unacceptable. Consequently, there are alternative integrals which give rise to theories which one can use in an attempt to study these aforementioned topics. An example of such an integral is the Henstock–Kurzweil integral, which can be developed in a rather similar manner to that of the Riemann integral.  In this thesis we will develop the Henstock–Kurzweil integral in order to answer some of the questions which to a certain extent are beyond the scope of the Lebesgue integral while using rather basic proof techniques from complex analysis and measure theory. In addition to that we extended various properties of the Lebesgue integral to the Henstock–Kurzweil integral, in particular when it comes to Lebesgue's fundamental theorem of calculus and the basic convergence theorems of the Lebesgue integral.

This thesis consists of three papers, each touching on a different aspect of the theory of rings of differential operators and D-modules. In particular, an aim is to provide and make explicit good examples of D-module directimages, which are all but absent in the existing literature.The first paper makes explicit the fact that B-splines (a particular class of piecewise polynomial functions) are solutions to D-module theoretic direct images of a class of D-modules constructed from polytopes.These modules, and their direct images, inherit all the relevant combinatorial structure from the defining polytopes, and as such are extremely well-behaved.The second paper studies the ring of differential operator on a reduced monomial ring (aka. Stanley-Reisner ring), in arbitrary characteristic.The two-sided ideal structure of the ring of differential operators is described in terms of the associated abstract simplicial complex, and several quite different proofs are given.The third paper computes the monodromy of the period integrals of Laurent polynomials about the singular point at the origin. The monodromy is describable in terms of the Newton polytope of the Laurent polynomial, in particular the combinatorial-algebraic operation of mutation plays an important role. Special attention is given to the class of maximally mutable Laurent polynomials, as these are one side of the conjectured correspondance that classifies Fano manifolds via mirror symmetry.

This article examines philosophical assumptions of whether and how happiness could become a goal of political action and standard for assessing government’s performance. It is argued that solidarity and care for the common good require the political economy of citizenship balanced with affirmation of the dignity of the human person in the form of basic human rights. The rule of law and fair procedures should be complemented with the concern for character development into citizenship and mature civic commitment. This unfolds both in faith-based and secular attempts to imagine and measure human development in terms beyond GDP index and economic statistics. To succeed these attempts must be based on an adequate anthropology, draw their strength from a sound moral source and inspire mature ethical agency. Catholic social thought conceives of integral human development as a way of envisaging social arrangements that foster flourishing of the whole person and each person. It is based on the vision of the human being as an image of God and draws its energy from the idea of “good society” in which respect for the dignity of the human person and care for the common good of all people are central to political and social life. Este trabajo hace una revisión de literatura sobre los estudios de corrupción en Colombia, las principales definiciones, algunos hechos estilizados y sus formas de medición. Asimismo, se presentan las series de las principales medidas de corrupción disponibles en Colombia con base en datos de entidades como la Contraloría General de la República (CGR), la Procuraduría General de la Nación (PGN) y la Fiscalía General de la Nación (FGN). Siguiendo a Henao e Isaza (2018), se identifican medidas para la corrupción generalizada y la corrupción organizacional. Dentro de esta última se analizan indicadores para la corrupción pública y la privada. Los resultados sugieren un aumento importante en la corrupción para el período 2010-2016. Sin embargo, la naturaleza compleja de este fenómeno hace muy difícil derivar conclusiones regionales y muestra en algunas ocasiones resultados contradictorios. Por ejemplo, mientras que los datos de la PGN ubican a los Nuevos Departamentos en los primeros lugares en cuanto a sanciones disciplinarias, los procesos de responsabilidad fiscal de la CGR sugieren que la mayor corrupción se presenta en los departamentos de la zona cafetera y la región central. Asimismo, departamentos como La Guajira tienen el menor número de condenas de la FGN asociados a casos de corrupción, pero es la entidad territorial con mayor presupuesto de obras inconclusas por habitante después del Putumayo. Por tanto, los resultados en materia de evolución de la corrupción y los rankings que se quieran realizar dependerán significativamente del indicador y los datos que se utilicen.

La presente guía práctica brinda recomendaciones para orientar la fase inicial del proceso enfermero: la valoración, con una estructuración de la entrevista de enfermería a la persona en el contexto familiar. La valoración establece un proceso planificado y sistemático de recopilación de datos subjetivos y objetivos, con la aplicación de instrumentos validados (escalas, test, entre otros), que conduce posteriormente a la interpretación de la información del estado de salud del sujeto de cuidado para la toma de decisiones en la elaboración de planes de cuidados con enfoque hacia la respuesta humana integral y global ante una necesidad del sujeto de cuidado. La Valoración por Patrones Funcionales de Marjory Gordon aporta una serie de primacías al proceso: pueden ser manejadas independientemente del modelo enfermero que se sigue, se integran de forma apropiada al ámbito de la atención primaria de salud y permiten estructurar y ordenar los datos de la valoración, funcionan para cualquier sujeto de cuidado: individuo a lo largo del ciclo vital, familia o comunidad, en situaciones de salud o enfermedad, y facilitan el tránsito a la siguiente fase de diagnóstico enfermero al contrastar con el origen de la clasificación por dominios de la NANDA. El objetivo de esta guía radica en ofrecer a los estudiantes del programa de enfermería conocimientos de los procesos y las herramientas que pueden ser utilizadas para la valoración de enfermería, dirigido a la familia y a la persona, fundamental en el contexto de la atención primaria.

Esta guía para el cuidado de las heridas se presenta como una guía para el estudiante de enfermería que desee adquirir conocimientos y habilidades en el cuidado integral de la piel, las heridas quirúrgicas, las lesiones por presión y las ostomías, con el fin de prevenir complicaciones y estimular su curación. Este documento está constituido por las temáticas de la piel comprendiendo su anatomía, histología y su valoración integral. Por otra parte, se determinan la clasificación de las heridas, las fases de la cicatrización y su valoración; se detallan las lesiones por presión al igual que su clasificación según sus etapas y se describen las ostomías y su clasificación. Por cada temática se describe el procedimiento para su valoración y cuidado respectivo. Finalmente tendrá un plan de cuidados de enfermería, según el tipo de lesión que tenga el usuario, que será una guía para orientar los diagnósticos más pertinentes pero que no debe obviar otros diagnósticos reales en el usuario. Los temas mencionados anteriormente le permitirán conocer más a profundidad los cuidados necesarios para los usuarios neonatales, pediátricos y adultos de manera general con diferentes tipos de lesiones o heridas a nivel hospitalario. También permitirán conocer cuáles son los insumos necesarios para ser más eficiente y eficaz en el momento de proporcionar cuidado. Además, este documento le ayudará a identificar factores de riesgo y tomar acciones correctivas cuando hay deterioro de la integridad cutánea o tisular, garantizando medidas preventivas adecuadas para la persona.

Founded by the duo of Sunandan Madan and Swapnil Aggarwal – engineers by training who met while studying for a postgraduate course at the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) – Dhwani since its inception has been trying to help a range of social sector organizations effectively integrate technology without disrupting the core ways in which these organizations work. Notably, it has been amongst one of the early enterprises in the sector which has taken efforts to understand in-depth the technology-related “pain points” common across organizations, and to bring a degree of standardisation to their solutions. The case builds an appreciation towards the fact that at the core of a successful technology-centric social enterprise, which can offer relevant and affordable digital products and services to the sector, lies building a composite culture that can straddle both the developmental and technological landscapes. Such a culture seeks to combine engineering and consulting skills in equal measure, and seeks to solve problems mindful of the particularities of the developmental sector, while also retaining a service orientation. In particular, the case looks to draw attention to the ideas of hybridity and elasticity that are integral to such a culture and how these have to be sustained against continuous pressures of talent sourcing, compensation, retention, and learning and development. In a short period of time, Dhwani has become a mature set-up with a clear sector-agnostic product and service value proposition to the sector, with a team strength of over 120 people and over 50 projects, and a variety of organizations, including nonprofits, philanthropies, CSR divisions and governments as clients. Therefore, the experiences of the founders and members of the team offer valuable lessons for other like-minded practitioners. At the same time, to researchers in the field of social enterprise the case may provide a more granular view of important aspects of culture-building in emerging social enterprises. The fact that such enterprises have to draw from a talent pool in constant competition with their private sector counterparts imparts added force to the above considerations.
