Résumé :
The Higgs sector of supersymmetric models with an additional SU (2)× U (1)Y singlet or an additional pair of Higgs doublet superfields is investigated. It is shown that in the model with a Higgs singlet bounds on Higgs boson masses are considerably weaker than in the minimal supersymmetric model; in particular, all neutral scalars can be heavier than about 150 GeV or lighter than [Formula: see text], whereas the mass of the charged Higgs boson is essentially unconstrained. The four doublet model resembles the minimal model more closely; in particular, the bounds for the heaviest and lightest neutral scalar and the heaviest charged Higgs boson are unaltered. In this model, many relations between masses of different Higgs bosons can be found; 44 of the 66 possible decays of one Higgs boson into another Higgs boson plus a real W or Z boson are kinematically forbidden. It is also shown that in both models, the lightest neutral scalar becomes indistinguishable from the standard model Higgs boson if all other Higgs bosons of the model are much heavier than Mw.

Résumé :
Quark models with four-fermion interaction including derivatives of fields in the strong coupling regime are used to implement composite-Higgs extensions of the Standard Model. In this approach the dynamical breaking of chiral symmetry occurs in two (or more) channels (near polycritical values for coupling constants), giving rise to two (or more) composite Higgs doublets. Two types of models are built for which Flavor Changing Neutral Currents (FCNC) are naturally suppressed. In the first Model I the second Higgs doublet is regarded as a radial excitation of the first one. In the second Model II the quasilocal Yukawa interaction with Higgs doublets reduces at low energies to a conventional local one where each Higgs doublet couples to a definite charge current and its v.e.v. brings the mass either to up- or to down-components of fermion doublets. For the special configuration of four-fermion coupling constants the dynamical CP violation in the Higgs sector appears as a result of complexity of v.e.v. for Higgs doublets.

Résumé :
We assess the status of models in which Higgs is a composite pseudo-Nambu Goldstone boson, in the light of the latest 13 TeV Run 2 Higgs data. Drawing from the extensive Composite Higgs literature, we collect together predictions for the modified couplings of Higgs, in particular examining the different predictions for κV and κF. Despite the variety and increasing complexity of models on the market, we point out that many independent models make identical predictions for these couplings. We then look into further corrections induced by tree-level effects such as mass-mixing and singlet VEVs. We then investigate the compatibility of different models with the data, combining Run 1 and recent Run 2 LHC data. We obtain a robust limit on the scale f of 600 GeV, with stronger limits for different choices of fermion embeddings. We also discuss how a deficit in a Higgs channel could pinpoint the type of Composite Higgs model responsible for it.

Résumé :
We study the stability of the effective Higgs potential in the split supersymmetry and Little Higgs models. In particular, we study the effects of higher dimensional operators in the effective potential on the Higgs mass predictions. We find that the size and sign of the higher dimensional operators can significantly change the Higgs mass required to maintain vacuum stability in Split SUSY models. In the Little Higgs models the effects of higher dimensional operators can be large because of a relatively lower cutoff scale. Working with a specific model we find that a contribution from the higher dimensional operator with coefficient of O(1) can destabilize the vacuum.

I suggest a two-Higgs-doublet model in which CP violation is mediated only by the neutral Higgs bosons, via the mechanism of scalar-pseudoscalar mixing. In this model there is no CP violation in the exchange of either W bosons or charged Higgs bosons. The model has only two basic CP-violating quantities. I remark that other models of this kind, but with more than two Higgs doublets, may also be built.

We derive the effective action for composite Higgs models in electroweak theory from Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model. This action contains vector and axial vector mesons together with Higgs, W, Z and photon. Due to the interaction of the techni-quark with SU(2) L × U(1) gauge fields, mixing terms of SU(2) L × U(1) gauge fields and vector and axial vector resonances develop in the kinetic term of the effective action. Mass relation of the techni-rho and the Higgs is obtained.

Résumé :
Composite Higgs models have the potential to provide a solution to the hierarchy problem and a dynamical explanation for the generation of the Higgs potential. They can be tested at the LHC as the new sector which underlies electroweak symmetry breaking must become strong in the TeV regime, which implies additional bound states beyond the Higgs. In this paper, we first discuss prospects and search strategies for top partners (and other quark partners) in the strongly coupled sector, which we study in an effective field theory setup. In the second part of the proceedings, we go beyond the effective field theory approach. We discuss potential UV embeddings for composite Higgs models which contain a Higgs as well as top partners. We show that in all of these models, additional pseudo-Nambu–Goldstone bosons beyond the Higgs are present. In particular, all of the models contain a pseudoscalar which couples to the Standard Model gauge fields through Wess–Zumino–Witten terms, providing a prime candidate for a di-boson (including a di-photon) resonance. The models also contain colored pNGBs which can be searched for at the LHC.

Résumé :
We modify the implementation of T-parity in the fermion sector (called LHT-III), where the mixing of top quark and T-even partner can be absent, and the Higgs mass quadratic divergence contributed by the top quark and a T-odd partner cancel each other. Besides, the Yukawa couplings of down-type quarks and leptons can be enhanced in this model, while these couplings are suppressed in other little Higgs models. Finally, we study the channel [Formula: see text] at LHC in several typical little Higgs models, and find that the rate in all these little Higgs models can have a sizable deviation from the SM prediction, especially for that the rate can only be enhanced in LHT-III, but suppressed in other little Higgs models. Therefore, the Higgs production process [Formula: see text] at LHC can provide a powerful way to probe these little Higgs models, especially for distinguishing the LHT-III from other little Higgs models.

Résumé :
In this review we summarize the ongoing effort to study extra-dimensional gauge theories with lattice simulations. In these models the Higgs field is identified with extra-dimensional components of the gauge field. The Higgs potential is generated by quantum corrections and is protected from divergences by the higher dimensional gauge symmetry. Dimensional reduction to four dimensions can occur through compactification or localization. Gauge-Higgs unification models are often studied using perturbation theory. Numerical lattice simulations are used to go beyond these perturbative expectations and to include nonperturbative effects. We describe the known perturbative predictions and their fate in the strongly-coupled regime for various extra-dimensional models.

Résumé :
The constraints from the measurements of the [Formula: see text] decay rate on the parameter space of 3-Higgs Doublet Models (3HDMs), where all the doublets have nonzero vacuum expectation values, are studied at the next-to-leading order in QCD. In order to naturally avoid the presence of flavour changing neutral currents at the tree level, we impose two softly-broken discrete [Formula: see text] symmetries. This gives rise to five independent types of 3HDMs that differ in their Yukawa couplings. We show that in all these 3HDMs (including the case of type-II-like Yukawa interactions) both masses of the two charged Higgs bosons [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] can be smaller than the top mass [Formula: see text] while complying with the constraints from [Formula: see text]. As an interesting phenomenological consequence, the branching ratios of the charged Higgs bosons decay into the [Formula: see text] final states can be as large as [Formula: see text] when their masses are taken to be below [Formula: see text] in two of the five 3HDMs (named as Type-Y and Type-Z). This light charged Higgs boson scenario provides a hallmark 3HDM signature that cannot be realised in [Formula: see text] symmetric 2-Higgs doublet models. We find that in the Type-Y and Type-Z 3HDMs the scenario with [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] is ruled out by the direct searches at the LHC, but in the Type-Y 3HDM [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] is allowed by [Formula: see text] and direct searches at LEP2, Tevatron and LHC due to the reduced sensitivity of these searches to the degenerate case [Formula: see text]. The cases where only one or both charged Higgs bosons are above the top quark mass are also naturally allowed in the both Type-Y and Type-Z 3HDMs.

In this review we consider the distinctive phenomenology of supersymmetric models in which the scale of SUSY breaking is very low, [Formula: see text], focusing on the Higgs sector and the process of electroweak breaking. Using an effective Lagrangian description of the interactions between the observable fields and the SUSY breaking sector, it is shown how the conventional MSSM picture can be substantially modified. For instance, the Higgs potential has non-negligible SUSY breaking quartic couplings that can modify completely the pattern of electroweak breaking and the Higgs spectrum with respect to that of the conventional MSSM-like models.

Résumé :
The SM-like Higgs pair production is discussed in the framework of the general CP-violating two-Higgs-doublet model, where we find that the CP-violating mixing angles can be related to the Higgs self-couplings. Therefore, the future experimental searches for Higgs boson pairs can be constrained by the improved precision of the electric dipole moment measurements. Based on a series of constraints of the SM-like Higgs boson signal fits, the perturbative unitarity and stability bounds to the Higgs potential, and the most recent LHC searches for heavy Higgs bosons, we suggest a set of benchmark models for the future high-energy collider searches for Higgs pair production. The [Formula: see text] colliders operating at [Formula: see text] are capable of measuring the Higgs cubic self-couplings of the benchmark models directly. We also estimate the cross sections of the resonance contributions to the Higgs pair productions for the benchmark models at the future LHC and SppC/FCC-hh runs.

Résumé :
We have studied the existence of self-dual effective compact and true compacton configurations in Abelian Higgs models with generalized dynamics. We have named an effective compact solution the one whose profile behavior is very similar to the one of a compacton structure but still preserves a tail in its asymptotic decay. In particular, we have investigated the electrically neutral configurations of the Maxwell-Higgs and Born-Infeld-Higgs models and the electrically charged ones of the Chern-Simons-Higgs and Maxwell-Chern-Simons-Higgs models. The generalization of the kinetic terms is performed by means of dielectric functions in gauge and Higgs sectors. The implementation of the BPS formalism without the need to use a specific Ansatz has led us to the explicit determination for the dielectric function associated with the Higgs sector to be proportional to λϕ2λ-2, λ>1. Consequently, the followed procedure allows us to determine explicitly new families of self-dual potential for every model. We have also observed that, for sufficiently large values of λ, every model supports effective compact vortices. The true compacton solutions arising for λ=∞ are analytical. Therefore, these new self-dual structures enhance the space of BPS solutions of the Abelian Higgs models and they probably will imply interesting applications in physics and mathematics.

Résumé :
With no conclusive signal till date of the minimal supersymmetric and extra-dimensional models at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), the issue of naturalness of the Higgs mass still calls for attention. One way to achieve that is to introduce additional bosonic degrees of freedom and rely on fine-tuning thereafter. That is, to arrange for a cancellation between various parameters so that the coefficient of the quadratically divergent term in the Higgs mass is vanishing or small to a manageable level. In this work, we explore the possibility of doing so using two- and three-Higgs doublet models. We consider different versions of the same and fold in various relevant constraints accordingly. The study reveals that the quadratically divergent mass term of the 125 GeV Higgs can be exactly canceled in most of the models considered here. However, the same does not hold for the nonstandard scalars owing to the applied constraints.

Résumé :
From several points of view, it is strongly suggested that the current universe is unstable and will ultimately decay to one that is exactly supersymmetric (SUSY). The possibility that atoms and molecules form in this future universe requires that the degenerate electron/selectron mass is non-zero and hence that electroweak symmetry breaking (EWSB) survives the phase transition to exact SUSY. However, the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) and several of its extensions have no EWSB in the SUSY limit. Among the extended Higgs models that have been discussed, one stands out in this regard. The Higgs sector that is revealed at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will therefore have implications for the future universe. We also address the question as to whether the transition to the exact SUSY phase with EWSB is exothermic.

We introduce the fermion non-universality into the little Higgs models SU (5)/ SO (5), SU (6)/ Sp (6) and study the phenomenology of the new models. We find that if we change the transform property of the observed fermions under the extended [ SU (2)× U (1)]2, the cancellation of the one-loop quadratically divergent correction to the Higgs mass arising from gauge bosons will not be changed, whereas the phenomenology at W-pole, Z-pole and low q2 will be changed.

Résumé :
Electroweak precision data have been extensively used to constrain models containing physics beyond that of the Standard Model (SM). When the model contains Higgs scalars in representations other than singlets or doublets, and hence ρ≠1 at tree-level, a correct renormalization scheme requires more inputs than the three commonly used for the SM case. In such cases, the one-loop electroweak results cannot be split into a SM contribution plus a piece which vanishes as the scale of new physics becomes much larger than MW. We illustrate our results by presenting the dependence of MW on the top-quark mass in a model with a Higgs triplet and in the SU (2)L × SU (2)R left–right symmetric model. In these models, the allowed range for the lightest neutral Higgs mass can be as large as a few TeV.

Résumé :
Extended scalar sectors appear in various extensions of the Standard Model of particle physics, such as supersymmetric models. They are also generic extensions of the Standard Model and can address a number of its shortcomings. Direct searches for additional Higgs bosons and measurements of the 125-GeV Higgs boson, both of which provide insights into the different possible sectors, are carried out at the LHC. This review gives an overview of searches for the additional Higgs bosons and their implications for different models. The discussed analyses comprise searches for neutral and charged Higgs bosons that decay in various final states. In addition, the review summarizes the constraints from precision measurements, including in particular the observed couplings of the 125-GeV Higgs boson. While several models naturally incorporate a Higgs boson with couplings that are similar to the ones in the Standard Model, the measurements of the 125-GeV Higgs boson provide constraints on all considered extensions.

Résumé :
Imposing a family symmetry on the Standard Model in order to reduce the number of its free parameters, due to the Schur’s Lemma, requires an explicit breaking of this symmetry. To avoid the need for this symmetry to break, additional Higgs doublets can be introduced. In such an extension of the Standard Model, we investigate family symmetries of the Yukawa Lagrangian. We find that adding a second Higgs doublet (2HDM) does not help, at least for finite subgroups of the U ( 3 ) group up to the order of 1025.

Résumé :
We analyze the stability of two kink-type classical solutions available in a model describing two scalar Higgs fields in (1+1) dimensions. It is shown that one of these solutions is stable while the other is sphaleron. A few algebraic eigenmodes of the problem are exhibited.
