The evolution of microstructure and electrical properties of silver-based thick-film metallizations of silicon solar cells prepared by infrared firing processes has been investigated. The performance of the cells are shown to be dependent on several dynamical and diffusive phenomena. In particular, the sintering of silver grains, silver diffusion into the glass, and the flow of glass at the metal/silicon interface strongly affect important characteristics of the cells such as sheet and contact resistivities and the adhesion of fingers and bus bars. The existance of an optimum value of the peak firing temperature is observed and explained in terms of competitive phenomena occurring at the metal/silicon interface. Moreover it is shown that IR firing treatments require a careful consideration of the sequence of printing and firing steps. The features of heat treatments performed in conveyor belt furnances using Joule and infrared sources are compared.

In this paper, a small medical waste pyrolysis furnance, which could disposal 1t wastes, is designed for the safe disposal of medical wastes, by in-depth research of pyrolysis, detailed calculation analysis, and considering the experimental results and other factors in general. The flue gas treatment system of the small medical waste pyrolysis furnance is designed applying 3T principle, and the dioxin’s later synthesis is controlled, so the dioxin emissions problem is also resolved. The results show that the small furnance has reasonable configuration, works reliably, and it could self-support freely, its emissions meet the national standards for the dioxin emissions 0.213 ng/m3.

Abstract Actual paperwork reflects obtained results of technological analyse of reducing oxygen content in steel for pipe manufacturing, enterprised in a steel furnance equipped with a triple aggregate EAF-LF-VD. Oxygen content was measured during manufacturing process in Loading Furnance and Vacuum Degasing and has been analysed in comparison with several parameters. The results are presented using Matlab through regression surfaces and correlation equations and highlights the influence of analysed factors on oxygen content variation in steel.

Boiler terdiri dari vessel yang tertutup pada ujung pangkalnya dan dilengkapi dengan pipa api dan pipa air sebagai media pertukaran kalor dari tinggi ke rendah dan menghasilkan uap bertekanan pada proses selanjutnya untuk memproduksi uap dengan temperature dan tekanan tertentu. Uap yang dihasilkan oleh boiler pada uap saturated digunakan sebagai fluida kerja pemanas dan proses fraksinasi. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besar efisiensi energi dari boiler dan besar laju perpindahan panas yang terjadi pada furnance dari boiler serta mengetahui besar efisiensi exergi dan rugi exergi dari boiler wanson 1 tipe fire tube. Metode penelitian ini adalah analisa secara matematis menggunakan persamaan umum perpindahan panas dan exergi untuk menghitung besar efisiensi dan kerugian exergy. Pada furnance terjadi perpindahan panas secara radiasi sebesar 1942,40 kWatt, konduksi 1942,40 kWatt, konveksi 12448,41 kWatt sementara perpindahan panas yang terjadi pada pipa-pipa api boiler ada sebesar 160,58 kWatt secara radiasi, 160,58 kWatt secara konduksi dan 101.46kWatt. Dari hasil ini diketahui penumpukan kalor terjadi pada proses perpindahan panas secara konveksi. Sementara efisiensi dari boiler berdasarkan perhitungan langsung dan tidak langsung adalah sebesar 70% dan 82%. Sementara dari hasil analisis exergi dihasilkan rugi exergi kombusternya 1148.1627 kJ/s, efisiensi eksergi kombusternya 22.88% kerugian dan efisiensi dari heat exchanger adalah 672.126 kJ/s dan 44.21% sementara kerugian dan efisiensi dari boiler keseluruhan adalah 1820.286 kJ/s dan 13.29%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa boiler wanson 1 dalam keadaan baik karena memiliki efisien yang masih tinggi yaitu sebesar 70% dan 82% yang dihitung berdasarkan analisa matematis secara langsung dan tidak langsung menggunakan neraca panas namun pada furnance boiler terjadi penumpukan kalor sebesar 59.12 kWatt. Sedangkan analisa exergi didapat efisien dari boiler sebesar13.29%.

The design goal is to propose future utilisation of large former industrial site containing heterogeneous set of manufacturing, service and dwelling buildings of different age and qualities. Also the site is heterogeneous itself – the old industrial grounds which are quite well maintained and long-term used apart from the new part – which has been conquered in hurry in the 60’ and now quickly disappearing in birch succession forest. The difference is reflected not only in site use design, but also in architectural solution of singular buildings. Buildings in the old part serv to the needs of Museum and its further activities and reacts to the style defined by Lichtenstein period architecture – power station and steam plant. Different pattern of each building aimed to utilization of the full building renovation approaches spectrum, ranging from steam plant conservation to analogical installation in the power plant to analogical reconstruction od wooden floor of the old furnance. Question of use and design of the blast furnances is far more complex and became the main topic of this work. The furnance approaches much more the LTO area than building one. It includes only two standard building spaces (threshers), the rest is taken by machinery or closed and inaccessible. The building character predestinates the furnances to become a archeologized monument. The design goal was to use the time still remaining for this unique structure with the intensity possible from the safety and functioning views. In the first stage, the furnance will house a community of artists, other creative or interested people functionally parallel to Cartuzian order monasteries. The housing units will be built in the powdery reservoirs, the common rooms in the threshers. A parallel to the chapel will be the furnance base – being accessible to the public. Every reservoir unit consists of two containers, winter garden and own garden space, every one is a miniature, but fully self sufficient unit surrounded by its own little universe, as the Cartusian idea requires. The main construction used will be the shipping containers, adapted for dwelling, put on suspended “cradles”. The unused rest of the reservoir space will be used as gigantic flower pot. In time, the roles of the spaces will change. The communication spaces of the former community house will become the only access to the furnance spaces and the corridor will remain half open as a view platform.

The whole world requirement petrochemical industry fuel still increase. Industrial apartment to improve energy usage efficiency to achieve the best energy conservation beneficial result and minimal pollutants emission. Normality analyzed operate factor of changes to best value on site, almost in accordance with practice experience, the theory inferential reasoning basis be deficient in quantitative analysis method. The research use statistical software to construct analyzing model to search operate factor of changes to best value intersects rightly compared to value on site for waste rich-hydrogen fuel. The revision model makes predicting value correspond with measured, therefore we can reduce more unnecessary resource wasting for energy conservation and profit creation. The result reveals that use multiple regression Model for factorial analysis, the combustion efficiency would be the best when natural gas mix with rich-hydrogen fuel in the range between 250 m3/hr to 600 m3/hr. When comprehensive using rich-hydrogen fuel, the best range of excess air will be 2.98 % to 3.01 %. The best range of temperature in preheating air will be 225oC to 230oC. Using the value for heating furnace could save the amount of gas consumption for 8.4 × 105 m3 and decrease the emission of NOx for 10.6 % and decrement carbon dioxide probably 1.0×103 tons/year. It could be analyzed the best economical and to agree with operate model by changes excess quantity of air and temperature of prepare heating in multiple regression.

Abstract In Taiwan,the variation of urban and rural developmentand population clusterto the city cause the roads used with highly loading bearing capacityso it has tomaintain frequently for the past few years.This study uses the physical property of the Basic Oxygen Furnace Slagdesigns of mix proportion with its different grain sizes instead of part ofnatural gradation and analyses the differences and results for rutting resistance through the test data. First of all, itconduct two sets design of mix proportionwith 19mm nominal maximum size added by 43% of basic oxygen furnace slag of different grain sizes. Determining the curve of combined gradation of aggregate throughaggregatesieve analysis,specific gravity, water absorption , physical properties tests before the design of mix proportion .Moreover , itdecidedthe porosity and optimum oil content then checked the stability,the porosity between aggregate and asphalt filling rate in accordance with ASTM. Finally, conducting the retained strength and wheel-tracking tests analyzed the differences of data. In conclusion, itevaluated the influence for rutting resistance of dense grade asphalt concrete pavement with the basic oxygen furnace slag of different grain sizes. The results showed the total settlement of asphalt concrete , dynamic stability and deformation after adding the basic oxygen furnace have a betterbehavior. Using the AC3 and AC6 basic oxygen furnace (hereinafter to be referred as AC3 an AC6) instead of the natural gradation in the same grain size, the AC6 is better. It may be the reasonthe shape and rigidity of it blend into the asphalt concrete has higher ability of resistance deformation than the same grain sizes of the natural gradation. It suggests that it can use the AC6 with AC3 to enhance the ability of rutting resistance on the highly loading bearing capacity roads.

The estimating of the electrode for arc refining steel method and the study for graphite furnance designing. Deviding into three parts, the first part is the formation mechanism of mesophase and the study of evalution production of mesophase. The second, estimating experiment for the design of graphite furnance. The third, designing the graphite furnance. In the first part, applying the Tuguchi method to get the manufacturing condition that suits for being the electrode for arc refining steel. CTP by way of the above manufacturing condition that can obtain the mesophase with high area fraction about 72% and large particle size about 39 um. After above process, the mesophase is raw materials to produce the electrode for arc refining steel. The second part, by using the Tuguchi method that obtain the manufacturing conditoin for high degrees of graphitization and high conductivity to suit for the electrode for arc refiningsteel method. After 27 times of experiment, promotion the degrees of graphitization of IG-11 from 52% to 81.1% and upgrading55.87%. The conductivity that was promoten from 11 u.OMEGA.m to 10.03 u.OMEGA.m and upgrading to 8.82%. The electron power of furnance, ampere of furnance and voltage of furnance, that can be the basis of designing graphit -ization furnance. On the third part, applying the results of foreward experiment, such as electron power of furnance, ampere of furnance and volatge of furnance. Experiment those datas to the scale of industry. Designing the graphitization furnance of huge production for industry.

The objective of this study is to establish the proportioning technology of TAICON with blast furnance slag and investigate the effects of the aggregate gradation on mixing ratio and mechanical properties of TAICON with blast furnance slag. In this study , first, slump of TAICON is set at 22±2cm,slump flow spread is set at 50±10cm and 28 days compressive strength is set at 280-350kg/cm2,the conduct mix design with Modified ACI mix design based on parameters such as water binder ratio, slag replacing cement, gradations of aggregate, maximum size of aggregates (Dmax), FM of aggregate , etc., and trial mix to find out a rational mixing ratio. After setting up the ratio, take compression、split tension、shear、and fracture toughness tests and analyze its microscope properties. The study results show that in fresh concrete the slump and fluidity of TAICON with high water binder ratio, high replacing amount with blast furnance slag , and high FM are better while aggregates of maximum size Dmax greater than 3/2" cannot meet the quality requirements of TAICON. In harden concrete , the early strength of concrete with higher replacing amount of blast furnance slag is lower but the later strength is higher. The strength of concrete with coarse aggregate of maximum size Dmax at 3/4" is the highest. The strength of concrete using coarse sand is higher than that using fine sand, that of gradation upper limit is higher than that of gradation lower limit, that of coarse sand and fine stone is higher than that of coarse stone and find sand. In TAICON the strength of flexural、shear、split tension and fracture toughness have positive relation to the compressive strength but the correlation between ultrasonic velocity and unit weight , static elastic modulus is poor.

Concrete is the most commonly used construction material in the world. Concrete is extensively used in infrastructure projects. The concrete obtained by mixing cement, water and an inert matrix of sand and gravelundergoes a number of operations such as transportation, placing, compacting, finishing and curing. Pozzolanic materials including flyash, metakaolin, slag, Rice Husk Ash and silica fume have been used in recent years as cement replacement material for developing HSC with improved workability, strength and durability with reduced permeability. Metakaolin, which is a relatively new material in the concrete industry is effective in increasing strength, reducing sulphate attack and improving air-void network. Pozzolanic reactions improve the microstructure of concrete and chemistry of hydration products by consuming the released calcium hydroxide (CH) and production of additional calcium silicate hydrate (C-S-H), resulting in an increased strength and reduced porosity and therefore improved durability. Use of Metakaolin in construction industry as partial replacement of cement started in the 1960’s and the interest in this material has considerably increased in recent years. Metakaolin has pozzolanic properties bringing positive effects on resulting properties concrete. Pozzolanic properties cause chemical reaction of active components with calcium hydroxide (portlandite), which is formed as a product of cement hydration. This reaction leads to formation of binding phases of following types: secondary C-S-H gel, C4AH13, C3AH6, and C2ASH8 thereby increasing strength. The Air cooled blast furnance slag (ACBFS) has also been used as partial replacement of coarse aggregates in the recent past . In the previous studies it has been confirmed that the concrete made with natural aggregates and with ACBFS has comparable compressive.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the use of arc furnace ballast to replace the coarse-grained materials for CLSM characteristics under different standard requirements. The control of low-strength backfill material (CLSM) To reflect the spirit of low cost, environmental protection, waste recycling and sustainable use. The research part can be divided into two parts: the first part is for the arc furnace ballast instead of coarse aggregates for the CLSM of the new filling, liquidity and other properties to be discussed, the second part is for hard solid concrete Observations of mechanical properties such as compressive strength at different ages. The test results show that the arc furnace ballast is roughly in line with the requirements of alternative control low-strength backfill material coarse aggregate. And the appropriate level of the ballast can also be mixed into a suitable control of low-strength backfill materials, and even the strength of the development of natural particles than the control of low-strength backfill material is better. It is feasible to make controlled low strength backfill material by replacing the coarse aggregate with electric arc furnace and to optimize the amount of 75%.

This paper presents and discusses the solidification of Sn-Ag eutectic solder and the effect of cooling rate on its microstructure formation with and without addition of nanosized copper powders. The composite solder mixture was mechanically mixed, and subsequently melted in an aluminum crucible placed in a temperature-controlled furnance, prior to promoting solidification. For all cases significant undercooling of the melt was observed prior to solidification. A reduction in the solidification temperature occurred by the addition of copper nanopowders. Optical microscopy observations revealed the microstructure of solders, in the as-solidified condition, to be appreciably altered by the addition of nanosized copper powders. The copper nanopowders were precipitated as an intermetallic compound. The average size of the intermetallic compound decreased as the cooling rate increased. These results suggest that adding nanosize metallic powders may significantly alter and/or improve solder joint properties.
