In Brazil, especially in Northeastern region, the wood used in civil construction, is almost all from Amazonian forest. The reduction of its consumption will be an environmental benefit. The utilization of waste plastics that are randomly thrown everywhere, would also be beneficial to the environment. In this work, we tried to verify the technical viability of a product made from waste plastic as frechal for housing, replacing the wooden parts commonly used for such. A literature review on single-family construction, plastic material and new product development was initially made. Material properties such as density, compressive strength, flexural strength, resistance to concentrated loads were studied. The results showed that the tested product, although flexible, it applies well in frechal function because there it works continuously against the wall top.
A redução no campo da construção civil do consumo de madeira, que no Brasil, e sobretudo no Nordeste brasileiro, é quase toda originária do que resta da floresta amazônica, seria um benefício ambiental considerável para o país. O aproveitamento de resíduos plásticos que são lançados aleatoriamente por toda parte, também seria de muito valor para o meio ambiente. Neste trabalho, procurou-se verificar a viabilidade técnica do emprego de um produto feito com resíduos de plástico, desempenhando o papel de Frechal, para emprego em habitações, em substituição às peças de madeira comumente usadas para tal. Foi inicialmente feita uma revisão bibliográfica sobre construções unifamiliares, material plástico e desenvolvimento de novos produtos. Foram estudadas as propriedades do material tais como densidade, resistência à compressão, resistência à flexão, resistência a cargas concentradas. Os resultados mostraram que o produto testado, apesar de ser flexível, aplica-se bem na função de frechal, porque ali trabalha apoiado continuamente na parede.

Esta dissertação propõe uma reflexão sobre as contradições no processo de territorialização de camponeses da Reserva Extrativista Quilombo do Frechal, situada no município de Mirinzal (MA), na baixada ocidental maranhense. Distribuída em três povoados Rumo, Deserto e Frechal a população da Resex relata descender de escravos e trabalhadores livres vinculados desde o século XVIII aos proprietários da Fazenda Frechal. Nas décadas de 1970 e 1980, moradores ligados particularmente ao povoado de Frechal se viram diante de ameaças de expropriação, que desencadearam contra o fazendeiro um processo de luta pela terra que se estenderia ao longo de mais de uma década. Em sua resistência, a população de Frechal se viu envolvida no movimento das chamadas comunidades negras rurais que culminaria, em 1988, na inclusão do artigo 68 no ADCT na Constituição, a reconhecer o direito à terra dos remanescentes de quilombo. Frechal pleiteou esse reconhecimento, no que foi atendida, em 1990, tornando-se a primeira comunidade assim entendida no Brasil inteiro. No entanto, à falta de regulamentação para possibilitar a titulação nesses moldes, a garantia dos direitos territoriais de Frechal e o fim do assédio do fazendeiro viram-se assegurados por meio de uma recém-estabelecida modalidade de unidade de conservação ambiental, a de Reserva Extrativista. A criação da Resex Quilombo do Frechal, em 1992, com tal perímetro que coincidisse com os da antiga fazenda, resultou em que os outros dois povoados, Rumo e Deserto, até então beneficiados pelo fazendeiro para minar o pleito de Frechal, fossem também reconhecidos como beneficiários da Resex. Pelos diplomas atinentes a esse tipo de unidade de conservação, portanto, os três grupos são entendidos como populações tradicionais. Trata-se, portanto, de coletivos que se viram interseccionados, à época, por dois recém-criados objetos político-administrativos e formas de tutela do território (remanescentes de quilombo/titulação pelo artigo 68 e populações tradicionais/reservas extrativistas). A implementação da Resex Quilombo do Frechal, em particular na última década, traz, assim, situações conflituosas oriundas dessa sobreposição de objetos e tutelas, e que resultaram em uma contraditória territorialização desses grupos. Esse é o objeto de investigação desta pesquisa.This thesis proposes a reflection on the contradictions of the territorialization process experienced and conducted by peasant groups of the Reserva Extrativista Quilombo do Frechal, situated in Mirinzal, on the northern portion of Brazilian state of Maranhão. Distributed among three villages Rumo, Deserto e Frechal the Resex population associates their ascendancy to former slaves and free peasants that were connected to the owners of the Frechal Farm since the 18th century. During the 1970s and 1980s, villagers mainly from Frechal were confronted by expropriation threats, which triggered off a struggle for the land. In their resistance, Frechal people got involved in what was known as the black rural communities movement. In articulation with the uprising of the Brazilian black movement, this dynamics culminated, in 1988, with the inclusion on the new Constitutional letter of an article (the 68th of the ADCT) assuring territorial rights to remainders of quilombos (maroon communities). Frechal pleaded the recognition of its identity as quilombolas, which was granted and turned the village into the first officially recognized remainder of quilombos in Brazil. However, there was not yet an agreement over the juridical regulation to actually give land titles to Frechal based on the 68th article. As the conflict with the land owner intensified, the solution came in the form of an Extractivist Reserve (Resex), an also recent form of environmental conservation unit with origin within the seringueiros movement. In 1992, the Resex was created exactly over the former farm perimeter, which entailed the recognition of the other two villages, Rumo e Deserto, as Resex beneficiaries as well as Frechal. According to Resex statutes, that qualifies them as members of traditional populations. The peasant villagers are, therefore, intersected by two recent juridical and administrative objects (remainders of quilombos/traditional populations), two official ways to guard the territory (the 68th article and the Resex). The actual implementation of the Resex, particularly over the last decade, results in a contradictory process of territorialization, and this was made the object of this research.

Based on an anti-essentialist and ‘monist’ framework, this thesis deals with the epistemological potentialities of interpretative anthropology in the study of ‘nature’. Influenced by post-structuralist political ecology, this ethnography of a Brazilian Amazonian natural reserve - inhabited by a community of afro-descendents - tries to experiment with theoretical formulations that overcome the traditional ‘nature-culture’ dichotomy. The category ‘hybrid identity’ applied to ‘nature’ suggests its relational and situational character, a by-product of the interrelation between practice and discourse, as well as symbolic and material dimensions. The case-study highlights the coexistance of different paradigmatic configurations of ‘nature’ in the same ethnographic context: a pragmatic nature experienced in everyday life through the incorporated practices of the roça, example of swidden agriculture; a contested political-managerial nature, discursively constructed through the relation between local community and government institution that controls the Reserve; finally, a “magical/spiritual” nature, domain of invisible entities – known as encantados – invoked on occasions of specific sicknesses that harken back to the world of pajelança rituals. Combining an actor-oriented methodology with a reflexive and reflective approach, the thesis also problematizes the logocentric attitude of anthropology in order to valorize the role of researcher’s body in the field work

As Reservas Extrativistas (Resex) são unidades de conservação genuinamente brasileiras, de domínio público e concedidas às populações tradicionais para uso e extração sustentável dos recursos naturais. Neste trabalho, elas foram analisadas enquanto um instrumento da ação pública, construído a partir da interação de diversos atores sociais que atuaram num processo conflituoso de disputas agrarias na Amazônia brasileira e de uma arbitragem do governo que as adotou como instrumento de regulação territorial e ambiental. Partindo da hipótese de que as Resex são instrumentos da ação pública local, analisou-se, neste estudo, as experiências socioterritoriais de duas Resex situadas no Litoral Ocidental do Estado do Maranhão, na Amazônia brasileira, a Resex Quilombo de Frechal e a Resex Marinha de Cururupu, com o objetivo de conhecer as aplicações desse instrumento e as ações públicas que estão sendo construídas nesses territórios. O estudo, entre outros, apontou para apropriações e interpretações diferenciadas do instrumento, assim como para recomposições territoriais feitas com base em elementos identitários. Em Frechal, a recomposição territorial tem se dado via construção de uma identidade quilombola, diacrítica e ressemantizada, gerando tensões dentro do território. Em Cururupu, esta recomposição tem-se dado via um novo território turístico. A conclusão principal deste estudo é que o instrumento Resex detém uma força de ação que se desenvolve e se diferencia a partir das interações e interpretações dos atores sociais. Como instrumento de ação pública local, as Resex não são estáticas e redutíveis ao instrumento, ao contrário, produzem efeitos independentes dos objetivos que elas assinaram. Sendo a dinâmica e a apropriação pelos atores sociais, determinantes, na construção da ação públicas.
The Extractivists Reserves (Resex) are typical conservation units from Brasil, belonging to the public domain and given to the traditional populations for the use and lengthy extraction of natural resources. In this study, they have been analyzed as a public action tool, built from the interaction between various social actors who work within a conflictual process of agricultural fights in Brazilian Amazonia, and the patronage of the government which adopted them as an environmental tool of territorial control. Considering that the Resex are tools of the local public action, that study analyzed the social and territorial experiences Mof two Resex located in Brazilian Amazonia, the Resex Quilombo of Frechal and the Resex Marinha of Cururupu, in order to better understand this tool's applications and ongoing public actions being conducted on these territories. Between other things, the study revealed different ownerships and interpretations of the tool, as well as territorial conceptions based on identity elements. The main conclusion of that study is that the Resex encompass a workforce which develop and show its differences from the interactions and feelings of the social actors. As local public action tools, the Resex are not static and reduced to the tool, but instead, produce further and independant effects than those initially planned. Les Réserves Extractivistes (Resex) sont des unités de conservation typiquement brésiliennes, de l’ordre du domaine public et concédées aux populations traditionnelles pour un usage et une extraction durable des ressources naturelles. Dans ce travail, elles ont été analysées en tant qu’instrument d’action publique, construit à partir de l’interaction entre divers acteurs sociaux qui agissent au sein d’un processus conflictuel de luttes agraires en Amazonie brésilienne, et de l’arbitrage du gouvernement qui les a adoptées en tant qu’instrument de régulation territoriale et environnementale. Partant de l’hypothèse que les Resex sont des instruments de l’action publique locale, cette étude a analysé les expériences socio-territoriales de deux Resex localisées en Amazonie brésilienne, la Resex Quilombo de Frechal et la Resex Marinha de Cururupu, dans le but de comprendre les applications de cet instrument et les actions publiques qui sont en construction sur ces territoires. L’étude, entre autres, a révélé des appropriations et des interprétations différentiées de l’instrument, ainsi que des recompositions territoriales faites sur la base d’éléments identitaires. À Frechal, la recomposition territoriale s’est faite par la construction d’une identité quilombola, diacritique et resémantisée, générant des tensions au sein du territoire. À Cururupu, cette reconstruction s’est faite par le biais d’un nouveau territoire touristique. L’une des conclusions de cette étude est que les Resex détiennent une force d’action qui se développe et se différentie à partir des interactions et des interprétations des acteurs sociaux. Comme instrument d’action publique locale, les Resex ne sont pas statiques et réductibles à l’instrument, mais au contraire produisent des effets indépendants des objectifs qui leur étaient fixés. La dynamique et l’appropriation par les acteurs sociaux sont ainsi déterminantes à la construction de l’action publique.

Existence of basis in locally convex space has been an important problem in functional analysis for more than 40 years. In this thesis the conditions for the existence of basis are examined. These thesis consist of three parts. The first part is about the exterior interpolative conditions. The second part deals with the inner interpolative conditions on nuclear frechet space. These are sufficient conditions on existence of basis. In the last part, it is shown that for a regular nuclear Köthe space the inner interpolative conditions are satisfied and moreover another type of inner interpolative conditions are introduced.

Dans cette thèse nous étudions l'ordre séquentiel du produit de deux topologies de Frechet. Nous montrons que pour tout nombre ordinal dénombrable, il existe une topologie de Fréchet régulière et transverse dont le carré est d'ordre séquentiel alpha. Pour ce faire nous utilisons la notion de multi-suites introduite par D. H. Fremlin. Nous donnons une caractérisation de l'ordre séquentiel d'un point par rapport à une partie en termes de multi-suite admissible. D'autre part, définissant deux relations d'équivalence sur une multi-suite, nous introduisons les notions de flèche et de multi-faisceau. Nous donnons la borne inferieure de l'ordre séquentiel du produit de deux topologies transverses en termes de leurs fascicularité et sagittalité. Nous construisons, pour tout ordinal dénombrable alpha, un espace de lasnev dont le carré est d'ordre séquentiel alpha. Une méthode basée sur l'utilisation des multi-suites convergentes est présentée. Elle nous a permis de retrouver comme T. Nogura et A. Shibakov la borne supérieure de l'ordre séquentiel du produit d'une topologie séquentielle avec une topologie séquentielle et localement dénombrablement compacte. De plus elle nous a permis d'unifier deux résultats classiques de la théorie des convergences séquentielles, l'un de e. Michael et l'autre de A. V. Arhangel'skii puis d'étendre ce dernier

Location-aware devices are one of the examples of variety of systems that can provide trajectory data. The formal definition of a trajectory is the path of a moving object in space as a function of time. Surveillance systems can now automatically detect moving objects and provide a useful dataset for further analysis. Clustering moving objects in a given scene can provide vital information about the trajectory patterns and outliers. The trajectory of an object may contain extended data at each position where the object was detected such as size, colour, etc. The focus of this work is to find an efficient trajectory clustering solution given the most fundamental trajectory data, namely position and time. The main challenge of clustering trajectory data is to handle the length of a single trajectory. The length of a trajectory can be extremely long in some cases. Hence it may cause problems to keep trajectories in main memory or it may be very inefficient to process them. Preprocessing trajectories and simplifying them will help minimize the effects of such issues. We will use some algorithms taken from literature in conjunction with some of our own algorithms in order to cluster trajectories in an efficient manner. In an attempt to accomplish this, we have designed a representation of a trajectory Furthermore, we have designed and implemented algorithms to simplify and evaluate distances between these trajectories. Moreover, we proved that our distance function obeys triangulation properties which is beneficial for clustering algorithms. Our distance function is a variation of the Fréchet distance proposed in 1906 by Maurice René Fréchet. Additionally, we will illustrate how our work can be integrated with an incremental clustering algorithm to cluster trajectories.

The Frechet distribution was applied to a set of earthquake data in order to test its validity as a practical alternative distribution for extreme value data. It was concluded that the Frechet distribution was the best model representing that data set. Also, a Poisson model of occurrence could not be rejected for that data set. The combination of these two models resulted in a closed form unconditional extreme value distribution which was developed analytically. Nous donnons des proprietes d'equi-frechet differentiabilite et d'equicontinuite de familles d'applications vectorielles convexes, biconvexes ou concave-convexes ; nous etudions aussi la convergence compacte de suites de derivees directionnelles et de gateaux differentielles et nous etablissons quelques resultats de differentiabilite presque partout. Nous donnons ensuite quelques proprietes de continuite des sousdifferentiels approches de fonctions convexes vectorielles et de cyclique monotonie de ces sousdifferentiels. Enfin, nous terminons avec l'etude des multiapplications monotones et monotones maximales a valeurs dans un espace d'applications lineaires.

Parametric search, invented by Nimrod Megiddo in 1983, is a complex yet powerful technique for solving general optimisation problems. It has since become a cornerstone technique in computational geometry and has led to efficient algorithms for a wide variety of problems. In this thesis, we apply parametric search to voting games and Fréchet queries. The connection between voting games and computational geometry is a relatively recent one, and as such, geometric optimisation techniques are not commonly used for solving problems in voting games. We apply parametric search to compute the yolk, which is an important concept in spatial voting games. The connection between the Fréchet distance and parametric search is much more well understood. Our contribution is using repeated inductive applications of parametric search to achieve efficient queries for a variant of a Fréchet distance problem.

This thesis presents certain recent methodologies and some new results for the statistical analysis of probability distributions on non-Euclidean manifolds. The notions of Frechet mean and variation as measures of center and spread are introduced and their properties are discussed. The sample estimates from a random sample are shown to be consistent under fairly broad conditions. Depending on the choice of distance on the manifold, intrinsic and extrinsic statistical analyses are carried out. In both cases, sufficient conditions are derived for the uniqueness of the population means and for the asymptotic normality of the sample estimates. Analytic expressions for the parameters in the asymptotic distributions are derived. The manifolds of particular interest in this thesis are the shape spaces of k-ads. The statistical analysis tools developed on general manifolds are applied to the spaces of direct similarity shapes, planar shapes, reflection similarity shapes, affine shapes and projective shapes. Two-sample nonparametric tests are constructed to compare the mean shapes and variation in shapes for two random samples. The samples in consideration can be either independent of each other or be the outcome of a matched pair experiment. The testing procedures are based on the asymptotic distribution of the test statistics, or on nonparametric bootstrap methods suitably constructed. Real life examples are included to illustrate the theory.

Questa tesi tratta di modelli generativi in ambito di deep learning e delle metriche utilizzate per valutarli.
In particolare si analizza la Frechét Inception Distance (FID), il funzionamento dei Variational Autoencoders (VAE) e le diverse strategie che si possono adottare per comporre il training set per migliorare le performance di questi ultimi in fase generativa.
Vengono inoltre trattate l'adozione di un'architettura a due livelli e la stima ex-post della distribuzione dello spazio latente.
Viene altresì condotto uno studio sul comportamento della FID in base al dataset usato, e in particolare dataset composti da immagini ripetute progressivamente e dataset contenenti immagini scomposte in varie sezioni e ricomposte casualmente.
Unitamente allo studio sopracitato si prova a selezionare il dataset secondo due criteri. Il primo criterio, l'errore di ricostruzione, permette di selezionare le immagini sulle quali il VAE ha meno difficoltà in fase di ricostruzione. Il secondo criterio, la distanza di Mahalanobis, permette di calcolare quanto un'immagine sia rappresentativa dell'insieme delle immagini usate per calcolare la FID.
In conclusione, i risultati ottenuti vengono presentati e confrontati con i risultati in bibliografia.

En anatomie computationnelle, on suppose que les formes d'organes sont issues des déformations d'un template commun. Les données peuvent être des images ou des surfaces d'organes, les déformations peuvent être des difféomorphismes. Pour estimer le template, on utilise souvent un algorithme appelé «max-max» qui minimise parmi tous les candidats, la somme des carrées des distances après recalage entre les données et le template candidat. Le recalage est l'étape de l'algorithme qui trouve la meilleure déformation pour passer d'une forme à une autre. Le but de cette thèse est d'étudier cet algorithme max-max d'un point de vue mathématique. En particulier, on prouve que cet algorithme est inconsistant à cause du bruit. Cela signifie que même avec un nombre infini de données et avec un algorithme de minimisation parfait, on estime le template original avec une erreur non nulle. Pour prouver l'inconsistance, on formalise l'estimation du template. On suppose que les déformations sont des éléments aléatoires d'un groupe qui agit sur l'espace des observations. L'algorithme étudié est interprété comme le calcul de la moyenne de Fréchet dans l'espace des observations quotienté par le groupe des déformations. Dans cette thèse, on prouve que l'inconsistance est dû à la contraction de la distance quotient par rapport à la distance dans l'espace des observations. De plus, on obtient un équivalent de biais de consistance en fonction du niveau de bruit. Ainsi, l'inconsistance est inévitable quand le niveau de bruit est suffisamment grandIn computational anatomy, organ shapes are assumed to be deformation of a common template. The data can be organ images but also organ surfaces, and the deformations are often assumed to be diffeomorphisms. In order to estimate the template, one often uses the max-max algorithm which minimizes, among all the prospective templates, the sum of the squared distance after registration between the data and a prospective template. Registration is here the step of the algorithm which finds the best deformation between two shapes. The goal of this thesis is to study this template estimation method from a mathematically point of view. We prove in particular that this algorithm is inconsistent due to the noise. This means that even with an infinite number of data, and with a perfect minimization algorithm, one estimates the original template with an error. In order to prove inconsistency, we formalize the template estimation: deformations are assumed to be random elements of a group which acts on the space of observations. Besides, the studied algorithm is interpreted as the computation of the Fréchet mean in the space of observations quotiented by the group of deformations. In this thesis, we prove that the inconsistency comes from the contraction of the distance in the quotient space with respect to the distance in the space of observations. Besides, we obtained a Taylor expansion of the consistency bias with respect to the noise level. As a consequence, the inconsistency is unavoidable when the noise level is high

Ordinary differential equations (ODEs) play an important role in mathematics. Although intrinsically, the setting for describing ODEs is the continuous framework, where differential operators are considered as maps from one function space to another, common numerical algorithms for ODEs discretise problems early on in the solution process. This thesis is about continuous analogues of such discrete algorithms for the numerical solution of ODEs. This thesis shows how Newton's method for finite dimensional system can be generalised to function spaces, where it is known as Newton-Kantorovich iteration. It presents affine invariant damping strategies for increasing the chance of convergence for the Newton-Kantorovich iteration. The derivatives required in this continuous setting are Fréchet derivatives, the continuous analogue of Jacobian matrices. In this work, we present how automatic differentiation techniques can be applied to compute Fréchet derivatives. We introduce chebop, a Matlab solver for nonlinear boundary-value problems, which combines damped Newton iteration in function space and automatic Fréchet differentiation. By proving that affine operators have constant Fréchet derivatives, it is demonstrated how automatic linearity detection of computed quantities can be implemented. This is valuable for black-box solvers, which can use the information to determine whether an iteration scheme has to be employed for solving a problem. Like nonlinear systems of equations, nonlinear boundary-value problems can have multiple solutions. This thesis present two techniques for obtaining multiple solutions of operator equations: deflation and path-following. An algorithm combining the two techniques is proposed.

The characterization of the local ill-posedness and the local degree of nonlinearity are of particular importance for the stable solution of nonlinear ill-posed problems. We present assertions concerning the interdependence between the ill-posedness of the nonlinear problem and its linearization. Moreover, we show that the concept of the degree of nonlinearity com bined with source conditions can be used to characterize the local ill-posedness and to derive a posteriori estimates for nonlinear ill-posed problems. A posteriori estimates are widely used in finite element and multigrid methods for the solution of nonlinear partial differential equations, but these techniques are in general not applicable to inverse an ill-posed problems. Additionally we show for the well-known Landweber method and the iteratively regularized Gauss-Newton method that they satisfy a posteriori estimates under source conditions; this can be used to prove convergence rates results.

New algorithms for the matrix exponential and its Fréchet derivative are presented. First, we derive a new scaling and squaring algorithm (denoted expm[new]) for computing eA, where A is any square matrix, that mitigates the overscaling problem. The algorithm is built on the algorithm of Higham [SIAM J.Matrix Anal. Appl., 26(4): 1179-1193, 2005] but improves on it by two key features. The first, specific to triangular matrices, is to compute the diagonal elements in the squaring phase as exponentials instead of powering them. The second is to base the backward error analysis that underlies the algorithm on members of the sequence {||Ak||1/k} instead of ||A||. The terms ||Ak||1/k are estimated without computing powers of A by using a matrix 1-norm estimator. Second, a new algorithm is developed for computing the action of the matrix exponential on a matrix, etAB, where A is an n x n matrix and B is n x n₀ with n₀ << n. The algorithm works for any A, its computational cost is dominated by the formation of products of A with n x n₀ matrices, and the only input parameter is a backward error tolerance. The algorithm can return a single matrix etAB or a sequence etkAB on an equally spaced grid of points tk. It uses the scaling part of the scaling and squaring method together with a truncated Taylor series approximation to the exponential. It determines the amount of scaling and the Taylor degree using the strategy of expm[new].Preprocessing steps are used to reduce the cost of the algorithm. An important application of the algorithm is to exponential integrators for ordinary differential equations. It is shown that the sums of the form $\sum_{k=0}^p\varphi_k(A)u_k$ that arise in exponential integrators, where the $\varphi_k$ are related to the exponential function, can be expressed in terms of a single exponential of a matrix of dimension $n+p$ built by augmenting $A$ with additional rows and columns. Third, a general framework for simultaneously computing a matrix function, $f(A)$, and its Fréchet derivative in the direction $E$, $L_f(A,E)$, is established for a wide range of matrix functions. In particular, we extend the algorithm of Higham and $\mathrm{expm_{new}}$ to two algorithms that intertwine the evaluation of both $e^A$ and $L(A,E)$ at a cost about three times that for computing $e^A$ alone. These two extended algorithms are then adapted to algorithms that simultaneously calculate $e^A$ together with an estimate of its condition number. Finally, we show that $L_f(A,E)$, where $f$ is a real-valued matrix function and $A$ and $E$ are real matrices, can be approximated by $\Im f(A+ihE)/h$ for some suitably small $h$. This approximation generalizes the complex step approximation known in the scalar case, and is proved to be of second order in $h$ for analytic functions $f$ and also for the matrix sign function. It is shown that it does not suffer the inherent cancellation that limits the accuracy of finite difference approximations in floating point arithmetic. However, cancellation does nevertheless vitiate the approximation when the underlying method for evaluating $f$ employs complex arithmetic. The complex step approximation is attractive when specialized methods for evaluating the Fréchet derivative are not available.

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo tratar de uma parte pouco conhecida da obra de Guillaume Apollinaire: a sua crítica de artes. A partir da análise dos textos que o autor publicou neste domínio, evidencia-se a elaboração de uma série de conceitos que lhe possibilitam pensar a pintura e se posicionar no debate artístico francês dos anos iniciais do século XX. Considerando tais conceitos, mostra-se como estes podem ser relacionados com a reflexão do autor sobre a poesia de sua época e, em particular, com a sua própria. O encontro de suas ideias sobre a pintura e sobre a poesia traduz-se em um projeto estético em sentido amplo que, por isso mesmo, produz efeitos em sua obra poética. Com a finalidade de evidenciá-los, analiso alguns poemas para mostrar como a reflexão artística de Apollinaire importa para a compreensão da obra poética.The present work aims to deal with the little known part of Guillaume Apollinaires work: his critique of arts. From the analysis of the texts that the author published in this field, it is evident the elaboration of a series of concepts that allow him to think about paintings and position himself in the French artistic debate of the early year of the Twentieth Century. Considering theses artistic concepts, it is shown how they can also be related to the authors views of poetry of his time and, in particular, with his own. From this communication of artistic ideas, it is exposed how it translates into na aesthetic project in the broad sense and that, for this very reason, produces effects in his poetic work. With the purpose of showing this, poems are analysed to express Apollinaires artistic views matters for the understanding of his poetic work.

Le but initial de cette thèse était d'étudier les espaces de superlacets, version géométrique des espaces de supercordes en Physique. Le point de départ était alors d'étendre les résultats de classifications de l'article de Oleg Mokhov : Symplectic and Poisson structures on loop spaces of smooth manifolds, and integrable systems au cadre de la supergéométrie. Dans cet article l'auteur établit une classification des formes symplectiques locales homogènes d'ordre 0, 1 et 2 sur l'espace des lacets LM = C1(S1;M) à partir d'objets géométriques sur la variété différentiable M. Dans cette thèse, on remplace la variété M par une supervariété Mpjq et le cercle S1 par un supercercle S1jn et l'on étudie l'espace des morphismes de supervariétésMor(S1jn;Mpjq). Dans les deux premières parties, l'on définit les structures géométriques classiques et super des espaces de superlacets. Pour ce faire, l'on se restreint aux deux supercercles S1j1 et en s'inspirant des travaux sur LM, l'on détermine une structure de variété de Fréchet des espaces de superlacets SLM = Mor(S1j1;M). Puis l'on introduit la structure super qui nous a semblé la plus naturelle sur SLM en terme de faisceaux. Afin de pouvoir travailler en coordonnées, l'on introduit la structure super par un autre point de vue en considérant l'espace de superlacets SLM comme le foncteur de points SLM. De plus, en interprétant les calculs de Mokhov en terme de jets, ceci nous permet d'une part d'apporter une justification rigoureuse aux-dits calculs et d'autre part, d'obtenir une généralisation directe des méthodes de calculs en coordonnées ("à la physicienne"). Le troisième chapitre expose les résultats de classification obtenus. Comme dans le cas classique, on obtient un théorème de dépendance limitée de l'ordre des jets qui interviennent dans les formes d'ordre 0 et 1. Puis, on obtient une classification des formes d'ordre 0 au moyen de formes différentielles sur la supervariété Mpjq. Une classification des formes homogènes d'ordre 1 et 2 au moyen de métriques Riemaniennes et de connexions sur Mpjq. Enfin le quatrième chapitre est consacré à la généralisation des résultats d'un autre article de O. Mokhov : Complex homogeneous forms on loop spaces of smooth manifolds and their cohomology groups. De par la présence de la variable impaire, on précise tout d'abord la définition des formes homogènes locales sur SLM, puis on démontre que muni de la différentielle extérieure, l'espace des formes homogènes sur SLM d'ordre m 2 N donné définit un complexe. On calcule alors complètement les espaces de cohomologie pour les ordres m = 0 et 1, partiellement pour les ordres 2 et 3 et on explicite ainsi les formes symplectiques exactes obtenues au troisième chapitre.

In this paper, we study ill-posedness concepts of nonlinear and linear inverse problems
in a Hilbert space setting. We define local ill-posedness of a nonlinear operator
equation $F(x) = y_0$ in a solution point $x_0$ and the interplay between the nonlinear
problem and its linearization using the Frechet derivative $F\acent(x_0)$ . To find an
appropriate ill-posedness concept for the linarized equation we define intrinsic
ill-posedness for linear operator equations $Ax = y$ and compare this approach with
the ill-posedness definitions due to Hadamard and Nashed.

In this thesis I present a new numerical scheme for 2.5-D/3-D direct current resistivity modelling in heterogeneous, anisotropic media. This method, named the ‘Gaussian quadrature grid’ (GQG) method, co-operatively combines the solution of the Variational Principle of the partial differential equation, Gaussian quadrature abscissae and local cardinal functions so that it has the main advantages of the spectral element method. The formulation shows that the GQG method is a modification of the spectral element method and does not employ the constant elements and require the mesh generator to match the earth’s surface. This makes it much easier to deal with geological models having a 2-D/3-D complex topography than using traditional numerical methods. The GQG technique can achieve a similar convergence rate to the spectral element method. It is shown that it transforms the 2.5-D/3-D resistivity modelling problem into a sparse and symmetric linear equation system, which can be solved by an iterative or matrix inversion method. Comparison with analytic solutions for homogeneous isotropic and anisotropic models shows that the error depends on the Gaussian quadrature order (abscissae number) and the sub-domain size. The higher order or smaller the subdomain size employed, the more accurate the solution. Several other synthetic examples, both homogeneous and inhomogeneous, incorporating sloping, undulating and severe topography are presented and found to yield results comparable to finite element solutions involving a dense mesh. The thesis also presents for the first time explicit expressions for the Fréchet derivatives or sensitivity functions in resistivity imaging of a heterogeneous and fully anisotropic earth. The formulation involves the Green’s functions and their gradients, and is developed both from a formal perturbation analysis and by means of a numerical (finite element) method. A critical factor in the equations is the derivative of the electrical conductivity tensor with respect to the principal conductivity values and the angles defining the axes of symmetry; these are given analytically. The Fréchet derivative expressions are given for both the 2.5-D and the 3-D problem using both constant point and constant block model parameterisations. Special cases like the isotropic earth and tilted transversely isotropic (TTI) media are shown to emerge from the general solutions. Numerical examples are presented for the various sensitivities as functions of the dip angle and strike of the plane of stratification in uniform TTI media. In addition, analytic solutions are derived for the electric potential, current density and Fréchet derivatives at any interior point within a 3-D transversely isotropic homogeneous medium having a tilted axis of symmetry. The current electrode is assumed to be on the surface of the Earth and the plane of stratification given arbitrary strike and dip. Profiles can be computed for any azimuth. The equipotentials exhibit an elliptical pattern and are not orthogonal to the current density vectors, which are strongly angle dependent. Current density reaches its maximum value in a direction parallel to the longitudinal conductivity direction. Illustrative examples of the Fréchet derivatives are given for the 2.5-D problem, in which the profile is taken perpendicular to strike. In this thesis I present a new numerical scheme for 2.5-D/3-D direct current resistivity modelling in heterogeneous, anisotropic media. This method, named the ‘Gaussian quadrature grid’ (GQG) method, co-operatively combines the solution of the Variational Principle of the partial differential equation, Gaussian quadrature abscissae and local cardinal functions so that it has the main advantages of the spectral element method. The formulation shows that the GQG method is a modification of the spectral element method and does not employ the constant elements and require the mesh generator to match the earth’s surface. This makes it much easier to deal with geological models having a 2-D/3-D complex topography than using traditional numerical methods. The GQG technique can achieve a similar convergence rate to the spectral element method. It is shown that it transforms the 2.5-D/3-D resistivity modelling problem into a sparse and symmetric linear equation system, which can be solved by an iterative or matrix inversion method.
Comparison with analytic solutions for homogeneous isotropic and anisotropic models shows that the error depends on the Gaussian quadrature order (abscissae number) and the sub-domain size. The higher order or smaller the subdomain size employed, the more accurate the solution. Several other synthetic examples, both homogeneous and inhomogeneous, incorporating sloping, undulating and severe topography are presented and found to yield results comparable to finite element solutions involving a dense mesh.
The thesis also presents for the first time explicit expressions for the Fréchet derivatives or sensitivity functions in resistivity imaging of a heterogeneous and fully anisotropic earth. The formulation involves the Green’s functions and their gradients, and is developed both from a formal perturbation analysis and by means of a numerical (finite element) method. A critical factor in the equations is the derivative of the electrical conductivity tensor with respect to the principal conductivity values and the angles defining the axes of symmetry; these are given analytically. The Fréchet derivative expressions are given for both the 2.5-D and the 3-D problem using both constant point and constant block model parameterisations. Special cases like the isotropic earth and tilted transversely isotropic (TTI) media are shown to emerge from the general solutions. Numerical examples are presented for the various sensitivities as functions of the dip angle and strike of the plane of stratification in uniform TTI media.
In addition, analytic solutions are derived for the electric potential, current density and Fréchet derivatives at any interior point within a 3-D transversely isotropic homogeneous medium having a tilted axis of symmetry. The current electrode is assumed to be on the surface of the Earth and the plane of stratification given arbitrary strike and dip. Profiles can be computed for any azimuth. The equipotentials exhibit an elliptical pattern and are not orthogonal to the current density vectors, which are strongly angle dependent. Current density reaches its maximum value in a direction parallel to the longitudinal conductivity direction. Illustrative examples of the Fréchet derivatives are given for the 2.5-D problem, in which the profile is taken perpendicular to strike. This study aims to explore the relationship between French restaurant brand image, reputation spread and purchase intention. The research object is mainly for the consumers of stores such as French restaurants in Taiwan, French restaurants in hotel,and French restaurants in department stores.The questionnaire method is a sample survey method. A total of 420 questionnaires were distributed in this study questionnaire, and the invalid questionnaires were excluded. After the 306 questionnaires were collected, the effective questionnaire recovery rate was 72.8%. After the descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model analysis, the obtained data are as follows:1.First, French restaurants should establish a good brand image, so that consumers have an impact on brand impression, cognitive value and identity. Relative consumers will share the advantages and disadvantages of this French restaurant through reputation spread,and indirectly affect the willingness of others to purchase.2.Second, the brand image of French restaurants has an intermediary effect between reputation spread and purchase intention. Brand image will directly affect reputation spread,and influence on purchase intention through reputation spread, which can increase consumers' willingness to purchase, and believe that behavior spreads. More, consumers have higher brand awareness, brand impression, cognitive value and recognition, and their willingness to purchase will also increase customer spending. The study concludes with a discussion of the results and suggests further research in the future.
