Kamara, Moustapha. « Les opérations de transfert de footballeurs professionnels ». Reims, 2006. http://www.theses.fr/2006REIMD005.
Texte intégralThe transfers of professional footballers, come up to enormous difficulties of juridical assessment. Presented until then in the guise of the dilemma of the attribution of the rights of clubs transfer (reseve clause) or the players (free agents), the transfers come up to a problem of the distribution of the right of football talent less than a problem of the distribution of the right of property on the same talent. That is why nor the north america system, nor the several federal reforms at the national and international level couldn’t satisfy the main parties at he transfer operations, nor reach their goal; the competition balance and the protection of the formation. This situation led to several contesting. In fact, the professional footballers transfers come up to basically two problems. The problem of their juridical qualification and, above all the problem of the inequitable distribution of the financial flow of the operation between the parties. Thus in a first party, we qualified the transfer operation in a contractual assign of agreement, and accurately, a transfer of work contract period determined by the player. However, the operation, in particular, the payment justification of the allowance of the transfer, if it is necessarily born in the work contract, can also express itself irrelevant to that contract, through federal law as the real compensation of the lost of qualification and the one linked to the lost of the image capital of the player. Concerning the problem of the inequitable distribution of the financial flow, in particular the real compensation of the training clubs and the corolary the freedom of movments of the players, we thought of the recognition of the work force of the professional footballer as an incorporeal good

Texte intégralAlix, Sy Déborah. « Evaluation psychophysiologique du stress en situation de compétition chez des footballeurs professionnels ». Paris 11, 2007. http://www.theses.fr/2007PA113003.
Texte intégralThe purpose of this study was to investigate psychophysiological relationships in competition in light of psychophysiological models of stress proposed by Frankenhaeuser (1986, 1991) and Henry (1986; Henry & Meehan, 1981). A key notion of these models is that cortisol concentrations are particularly reflective of the hedonic tone of affective state rather then its intensity. To investigate these relationships in the pre-competitive period, three psychological models that emphasize hedonic tone of affective domain in a different manner were chosen: the Mental Health Model (Morgan, 1985), the Directional Model of anxiety (Jones, 1991) and Reversal Theory (Apter, 1989). Eighteen professional soccer players (M age = 24. 6 years, SD = 3. 3), all members of the same team playing in the first division of the French professional league agreed to participate in these studies. Saliva samples were carried out a non-training-day and before three league games. The day of the game, players had to complete three questionnaires. Results of these studies (a) confirmed the existence of differential links between hedonic tone of affective components (e. G. , moods and emotions) and cortisol concentrations during the pre-event phase of the game in professional soccer players; (b) highlighted some psychological constructs that are of interest to investigate psychophysiological relationships. This work attempts to understand and to provide an explanation of stress competition adaptation and purposes, to conclude, different ways in which the results may be useful to optimize performance

Texte intégralThis thesis is based on a field survey of fifty French footballers emigrated to Great Britain and playing within the English and Scottish professional and semi-professional leagues. Using an interactive approach, the research analyses of how sport workers enter and remain in the profession. This work highlights anonymous sports workers and the plurality of their commitments in order to access then to keep their professional status. It studies, in particular, those whose profession is characterized by uncertainty and precariousness. All professional footballers do not have a long career. The thesis demonstrates that, in order to last in the profession(game), sports workers must overcome a set of sporting and social obstacles. Footballers learn to become professional players by multiplying professional experiences. Through this thesis, we want to make a contribution to the sociology of sports work and the sociology of sports migration
Frenkiel, Stanislas. « Des footballeurs professionnels algériens entre deux rives : travailler en France, jouer pour l'Algérie (1954-2002) ». Paris 11, 2009. http://www.theses.fr/2009PA113004.
Texte intégralIn this doctoral thesis, we have told the stories of three successive generations of professional Algerian soccer players (the « sports migrants » of 1954-1972, the « family based immigrants » of 1972-1988 and those « born in France » between 1988 and 2002) in first and second division French clubs. To write the socio-history of these players in the French Championships (194 played for it in the period 1954 to 2002) and in the Algerian national team, we have drawn on various oral sources -some sixty interviews (« life stories ») carried out in France and in Algeria- as well as written sources : the French and Algerian press and personal records, the C. I. O, the F. A. F. , the F. I. F. A. , the Ligue d’Alger de Football and the Musée de la Préfecture de Police de Paris. From the France-North Africa match to the France-Algeria match, combining the prosopographic method and the quantitative reconstruction of this population, the goal has been to shed a new light, from a cultural point of view, on complex sports migrations. Therefore, we have emphasized the fact that theses migrations between France and Algeria were « put into play » because athletic capital in a competitive market and a historically high level of opportunity existed. Besides the crucial existence of sports and non-sports networks which might help players cross the Mediterranean and get to this relatively close country, these athletic migrations can be explained by looking at the socioeconomic perspective (the expectation of upward social mobility) and the political context, a strict governmental framework of regulations established by France and Algeria. At the heart of this historic relationship between the two countries -and for 132 years they were one and the same country, these sports migrations can also be accounted for by cultural factors which we have attempted to set forth alongside the explanations discussed earlier. Otherwise stated, these soccer players’ bicultural identity nurtured a desire in them, regardless of the country in which they were born or in which they grew up, to play in the French Championships (« desire for France ») but also to play for the Algerian national team (« desire for Algeria »). During the colonial and the postcolonial periods, Algerian acculturation to western modernity, essential to the construction of a model of the migration of Algerian soccer players, plays out more or less along the same modalities. As to the overwhelming choice of « Algerians of France » professional players (« family based immigrants » and « born in France », in both cases sons of immigrant workers) to defend the Algerian colors, this can also be explained by complementary and concomitant factors (athletic, economic and political) which must be considered in conjunction with the familial and sociocultural shaping of their « Algerian identity »

Texte intégralIf they constitute about 15% of the number of professional football players in France, Africans are almost absent from management positions. Very visible on the pitch, what are the reasons why former African players are so invisible in these positions that constitute the bulk of the internal reconversion (Hugues, 1958, Becker 1985)? Our work based on the articulation of the Big Man as an institution of influence tends to demonstrate that African players can have a different socialization and perception of success than their professional environment. On the basis of a multi-located survey (Marcus, 1995), a participating observation on several sites between France, Belgium and Germany, and netnography, our work shows that through the practice of football, play with the mechanisms of representation allowing a hierarchy at the top of which are Big men, these people who combine symbolic, economic and political wealth. By the extraversion, the use of resources from the international system, these Big men monopolize pockets of accumulation allowing them to put under their authority groups of dependent. Originally, only the modern state offered the possibility of accessing these statutes, now accessible by migration. Football offers players the opportunity to represent their country, allowing them to enter the competition for prestigious positions in their national environment. But, if the sports results and the salaries received from their professional clubs offer them symbolic and economic wealth, they do not have the same recognition as the Big men from the state configuration. Similarly, they cannot always maintain a catch differential on the people closest to them, who benefit from means of unfolding and can compete with them. The end of their career on the fields creates a tension between the impossibility of being a former Big Man, and the end of the important revenues produced by the player contracts. To maintain their place in high positions, the former internationals create new alliances in diaspora and maintain together in position to play meetings, hoping to maintain a position allowing them to negotiate a pole of accumulation between football and the country of origin

Texte intégralThis doctorate thesis in Human geography deals with the international trade and migration of African football players towards and within Europe through a relational theoretical framework. Through the case study of African footballers, the goal is to gain a better understanding of several ongoing mechanisms occurring in the context of the global economy, such as the new international division of labour, the emergence of global production networks and the segmentation of labour markets. The thesis pleads for taking into account the social embeddedness of the economic action and of social networks as fundamental analytical unity to understand the process of globalization

Texte intégralWhat do the football players Jean-Marc Bosman, Nicolas Anelka (as a young player, when he leaves the football club PSG for Arsenal), and Philippe Mexès have in common? These three football players have been at the center of sports affair revealing individual initiatives where the background concerns the application of the freedom of movement for football players. Although in each case, the football players call for an individual cause, the cause is transformed during the polemics by the protagonists. We notice that the debate opens up for other issues which overrun the football player’s individual cause. This research focuses on what the actors do when they are questioning the matter of course. This thesis also examines the protagonists in their action when faced to the transformations of the debate. Finally, the thesis explores how a simple case reconfigures the world of football and hereby animates and initiates social transformations on a larger scale

Texte intégralSince the end of world war two, nearly two thousand soccer players of foreign extraction have played in the professional french championship, accounting for over fifteen per cent of the top-ranking players. In Europe, the french case is distinctive owing to the large number of players taken into account, the very specific way of recruiting them, born from france's colonial history arid the successful integration of half of them into french society. Three large groups can be established : migrants'sons steadily settled in the country which greeted their parents, young players trained abroad but country to fame in France, torn between two apparently antinomic cultures and last international " mercenary " players whose integration is unlikely. Based on ideas of social or national revenge and promotion, the adventurous lives of migrant soccer-players supply a good example of the success of the french melting-pot

Texte intégralThe increase in movement of professional footballers from Africa to the European leagues as observed since the 1990’, has transformed the labour football migration. In return, this also impacted African footballers’ incomes, social status, and their relation to the communities of origin in terms of socio-economic support. This research focuses on this subject by drawing on the understanding of the evolution of African professional football, players migration itineraries, as to explain the ‘give back phenomenon’ (GBP) related to their relationship with the communities of origin. It examines the role of the economic and non-economic factors that orient African footballers’ ways of giving back to their families, relatives, and the communities. Their give back may be determined by the aim of return on investments, by the influence of communities’ values, norms, or by embeddedness in social networks or by the institutionalised networks related to footballers’ migration. In other words, the analysis of their giving back may be based on the combination of social, cultural and economic factors. Thus, this research mobilised multidisciplinary approach through the socio-economic theoretical model of analysis. Weber methodology helps to do so, in the analysis of footballers’ 'give back' action. This is generally considered as the players’ social contribution and their communities expect to receive something from financially successful professional African migrant players. The study’s qualitative survey was based on thirty-two interviews of professional players from Africa including, biographies and autobiographies. The results show that African migrant players’ behaviours in term of giving back depend on their justifications, which are based on economic interest, social or cultural logics. The research revealed three major outcomes:1) specific evolution of African football and communities’ perception of professional football. This identified one periodization, with three phases, showing families, football structures and migration strategies evolution: a) the controversial vision of football (the 1980s): football vs. school b) the shared vision of football (the 1990s): gradual shift from social activity to a professional activity, and c) football professionalism as an opportunity (the 2000s) 2) three types of players’ migration itineraries which are linked to their strategies, networks mobilised, and the resources available to them: a) collective resource-based, b) formal networks-based, and c) individual resource-based. 3) typology of 'GBP' based on African migrant players’ socio-economic behaviours was a) hybrid family, b) cross-closed family, c) shared family, and d) shadow family that influenced their type of investments in the communities. On another hand, some projects of players tend to support regional and national development in the communities. However, African player migrants have to manage and protect the fame, and sporting resources by using them intelligently to do good things for their communities, friends and others beyond the continent. In conclusion, the itineraries of players’ show the role of the communities in their migration projects. On another hand, the evolution of African football displays how players’ strategies changed with the structuration of African football and the attractiveness of the European football market. The co-determining of economic and non-economic factors relating to the ‘GBP’, justify the use of economic sociology theories. This research demonstrates that ‘GBP’ is not only based on the players’ economic interest but also the combination of social, cultural and economic elements

Texte intégralIf the relationship between anxiety and performance has been the subject of numerous studies in sports psychology, diversity of results makes it difficult to conclude as to the exact nature of this relationship, particularly in view of taking into account the existence different forms of anxiety (cognitive anxiety, somatic anxiety, self-confidence) and the variety of methods employed to measure. This research, conducted among a sample of Moroccan athletes consisting of footballers and middle distance runners short (800 and 1500 meters), therefore proposes to deepen the knowledge about the relationship between precompetitive situational anxiety (ASP) and athletic performance while taking into account, in several specific studies, the main limitations identified and recommendations made in the scientific literature. A preliminary study will primarily assess the psychometric properties of the different measures of anxiety and positive affective states, to test the existence of links between these measures and determine whether they can be linked to certain sports characteristics. A second study will propose to determine whether ASP predictors factors can be considered stable or on the contrary they depend on the performance of implementation context, distinguished by the good performance of poor performance. A third study to identify key predictors of athletic performance will attempt to determine the respective weight of dispositional characteristics, experiences and past performances and emotional states while differentiating the objective performance indicators and subjective performance indicators. A fourth study will propose to test the effectiveness of a specific program of preparation on anxiety and positive emotional states as well as sports performance. The results, based on the consideration of the most valid ASP measures, show that (1) the predictors of ASP are not the same when the sport is experiencing good performance or poor performance; (2) cognitive ASP allows much better to predict athletic performance that characteristics of personality or past performance, and (3) VMBR type of mental preparation programs appear to be effective to reduce the level of ASP sports and improve their subjective performance. These results, discussed in light of the available scientific knowledge on this subject and the limitations inherent in the methodologies used in the context of this research will provide recommendations for the improvement of the psychological preparation of Moroccan athletes

Texte intégralIn a four-year longitudinal study, we followed about twenty elite teenagers soccer and their families. We tried to understand the challenges of psychological support for the high-level athletic teenager in a sports structure. A triangulation of methods characterizes our research work. It crosses qualitative and quantitative data in different systems : sports and family. Once data were analysed, we developed modeling from the Ionescu model. It can help sports psychology professionals to identify the times and spaces of resilience in a teenager's sport path that enable his individuation. Our methodology opens up new possibilities of intervention in the field of sport to meet new needs. Questioning the appropriateness of psychological support has led to questions about the reponsability of sports organizations on the biopsychosocial development of the adolescent on the one and support for the parenthood of his family on the other

Texte intégralThe phenomena of "sportivization" of contemporary societies and the development of information and communication technologies have enabled sports brands to rise rapidly and profitably on a global scale. Similarly, the over-mediatization of sport and sports celebrities only increases this trend. More and more people tend to consume emotionally, which underlies individual and collective behaviours. The objective of this thesis is to understand better the behaviours and attitudes of sports consumers (Djiboutians and French) of sports brands. To do this, it uses "social representations" (Moscovici, 1961) as an analytical "grid" that will make it possible to highlight, on the one hand, the shared cognitions of consumers and, on the other hand, the marketing strategies put in place by companies. This work will make it possible to compare the sports relations of the two groups of different subjects from a socio-cultural point of view, in this case French and Djibouti sportsmen and women. Two exploratory studies, one qualitative (semi-directive interview) and the other quantitative (free association of words), made it possible to collect the first data sets from Djiboutians and French athletes (footballers and athletes). The first exploratory study revealed the categories of discourse. The second study defined the scope and structure of social representations. Finally, a confirmatory study, using a structural equation model, made it possible to test all the hypotheses according to brands, sports practised and the national affiliation of groups. In the end, the results did not reveal any significant differences between Adidas and Nike. Similarly, a dichotomy has not been established between the social representations of athletes and the social representations of footballers. On the other hand, there are contrasts between athletes' representations according to their national affiliation

Texte intégralKnees muscular groups (Quadriceps, Hamstring) are very widely studied and they present an important percentage of footballers injuries. The objective of this thesis is to study the effects of isokinetic fatigue exercises during concentric and eccentric contractions on hamstring function, as well as the identification of possible muscular imbalance and prediction of hamstring injury in dominant leg. A total of 39 senior male footballers (10 injured, 29 non injured) aged 22,5 ± 3 years were tested. In a first step, tests were applied on 5 Concentric and eccentric peak Torque, of quadriceps and hamstring muscles of dominant leg of both footballers groups using Biodex isokinetic dynamometer at angular velocities of 90°/sec. In a second step, we made the tests on 25 Concentric and eccentric peak Torque at angular velocities of 120°/sec for both muscular groups. A week interval between both tests. A flexibility test was assessed for 20 subjects, where 10 of them were injured. The force developed by the concentric peak torque in the case of injured soccer players was a significantly weaker than that of non injured ones (p < 0,05), as well as, an ipsilatéral conventional ratio on eccentric mode(p< 0,05). During fatigue exercises, we noticed for non injured subjects, that both tested muscular groups get tired significantly more in concentric than eccentric mode, while hamstring muscular was fatigued in eccentric contractions in injured soccer players (p < 0,05). We also observed a significant difference for a functional, and concentric conventional ratios comparing injured and non injured soccer players (p < 0,05). Eccentric ipsilatéral ratio presented a significant difference between the two groups of subjects. We have also found a muscular fatigue imbalance in subjects that were injured in the past, concerning conventional ratio in eccentric mode (p < 0,05). To conclude, fatigue and strength isokinetic muscle evaluation at (120°, 90° /sec) were complementary, and both of them represent the best predictor of hamstring muscle injury, by revealing muscle fatigue and torque asymmetry. Correction of muscular imbalance for both muscular groups in the two contraction modes, and increase of fatigue and strength functional and conventional ratio (hamstring -to- quadriceps), particularly those that presented previous hamstring muscle injury, improvement of hamstring flexibility, is essential to decrease injury risk factors and improve the performance
