Objective: The study clarifies Phan Boi Chau's views on feminism expressed in the right to life, human rights, freedoms, equal rights with men, and the viewpoint of fighting for women's rights. Methods: Dialectical method was chosen as the main research method. Results: The study sheds light on Phan Boi Chau's views on women's rights and the fight for women's rights through the following main issues: the position of women is not only reflected in their role in the family and society. On the basis of criticizing views that do not respect the legitimate rights of women and the inequality between men and women, Phan Boi Chau advocates fighting for women's rights, protecting their legitimate rights and status. of women, that is, the right to life, the right to be a human being, the right to freedom, and the right to be equal with men. Conclusions: The value of the study helps us to realize the role of women's rights in current socio-economic development. Thereby providing the Vietnamese government with policies to promote women's rights in the socio-economic development of Vietnam today.

The black southern press was an entity dominated by male editors and entrepreneurs. The effort to equalize teacher pay, one of the core fights for rights in the South, and the principal effort at gendered race advocacy during the World War II era, was led in large measure by black women. While both the fight for salary equalization and the survival of the black press depended upon segregation to maintain their survival, those newspapers were entities dominated by men advocating for equal salaries in a profession dominated by women, and the gendered nature of their coverage shaped knowledge of the fight within the black community.

Polish Association of Equal Rights for Women (1907–1914) in the Light of Autobiographical Relations, Women’s Press and Feminist Historiography The text investigates the history of the Polish Association of Equal Rights for Women (1907–1914) – one of the first legal feminist organisations in the Kingdom of Poland. The Association was the product of ideological and social clashes within the environment of the emancipationists gathered at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries around Paulina Kuczalska-Reinschmit, the leader of Polish suffragettes. The group was organised around the Women’s Labour Circle attached to The Society for Support of Industry and Trade (1894–1905), and then in the informal Polish Union of Equal Rights for Women. In 1907 the suffragettes formed the Union of Equal Rights for Polish Women, and the proponents of the integration of the fight for gender equality and Polish independence established the Polish Association of Equal Rights for Women. The relations between the Union and the Association were characterised by competition for succeeding in being the first to introduce new ideas into the mainstream and good practices inside the organization.

In Article 28C paragraph (2) of the Constitution 1945, “Every person is entitled to advance himself in the fight for their rights to collectively build a community, nation and country”, Article 28D paragraph (3) which reads, “Every citizen is entitled to equal opportunities in government”, should be the basis for guaranteed political rights of women. However, parties often overlook the urgency of this women’s representation. In addition to the provisions of the 1945 Constitution, there is also Election Law, Article 7 and Article 8 of CEDAW and the Convention on the Political Rights of Women who all voiced that women have equal political rights with men. But will the urgency of women’s representation in politics is hampered due to negative stereotypes of women’s capabilities.

God created male and female in His image (Gen. 1:27). According to the image, it means that there is equality of men and women before God. In life, there are indeed differences in performing functions. The man as the husband becomes the head of the household while the wife becomes the helper. This difference aims for harmony and regularity in the order of life in the family. Recently, a feminist movement has fights for equal rights and opportunities between men and women. This movement is closely related to efforts to fight the domination, exploitation, and repression of an unfair system against women. This movement is closely related to efforts to fight the domination, exploitation, and repression of an unfair system against women. The gender equality movement tries to fight for balance, equality, and equivalence of the roles and/or responsibilities of men and women in things that are not natural, such as rights, opportunities, work relations between men and women. In the family, the wife is the co-heir of grace for a husband. The Apostle Peter warned, “Husbands, live wisely with your wives, as the weaker people! Honour them as co-heirs of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered” (1 Peter 3:7). This study uses a descriptive qualitative method using a narrative study approach to Titus 2:1-5.

Women have been subjected to oppression and marginalization on social-political grounds, but the economic reason is also an important one. Women are labeled physically incapable of performing tasks at the same level as males. In this context, women are confined to their homes and are not permitted to engage in paid employment outside the home. On the other hand, they are expected to carry out all aspects of domestication and, most significantly, they are responsible for the health and well-being of their husbands. In the first world, these problems have already been solved because of the various feminist movements that have resulted in women gaining equal rights. For example, on social grounds, women have been given equal rights to vote, right to properties, and a great deal of other rights. After some time had passed, women eventually gained access to equal jobs in which they were paid equally. On the other hand, women in the third world still have to fight for their rights, and maybe more crucially, they do not have the right to wages or the ability to make money for themselves. The only space available to women is within their homes, and they are expected to serve their husbands. The Marxist feminist analysis of Daniyal Mueen-ud-deen’s Other Rooms, Other Wonders shows the said projection in a similar design. Marxist feminist theory serves as the theoretical foundation for the investigation. The research shows discrimination against women, and those women are denied the right to work for the simple reason that they are expected to obey men’s instructions.

This is the personal memoir of blind lawyer and volunteer disability rights advocate David Lepofsky. It describes his involvement in and perspectives on the successful fight from 1980 to 1982 to get Canada’s proposed Charter of Rights amended to guarantee equal rights for people with disabilities. It includes a foreword by the Hon. Rosalie Abella, former Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada. This memoir recounts the little-known saga of the disability amendment to the Charter. Few know that equality for people with disabilities was the only constitutional right added to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms during the widely publicized eighteen-month battle over the patriation of Canada’s Constitution, from October 1980 to April 1982. It is aimed at anyone interested in disability rights, human rights, Canadian political or legal history, social justice advocacy, and Canadian constitutional law. It provides a mix of legal and legislative history, personal autobiography, grassroots advocacy strategy and reflective commentary on lessons learned. It compares social justice advocacy techniques in 1980 to those practiced in the disability rights arena four decades later.

Feminism is a women’s movement fighting for equal rights and status. The purpose of this study concentrates on the reflection of feminism in Namita Gokhale’s selected works The Book of Shadows (1999), Priya: In Incredible Indyaa (2011), and Things to Leave Behind (2016). The features of feminism strive for equal rights for both men and women, particularly the emancipation of women, fight for their rights, freedom, equal rights, and gender issues. Namita Gokhale is a famous writer, and her notable works are The Book of Shadows, Priya: In Incredible Indyaa, and Things to Leave Behind. These selected works address the issues of feminism. The major protagonists of these selected works of Namita Gokhale are Rachita, Tilottama and Priya. Each character’s life reflects the issues of feminism theory. Some famous feminists are Rachel Speght, Olympe de Gouge, Mary Wollstonecraft, Judith Sargent Murray, Fredrika Bremer, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and so on. The methodology of this study focuses on the feminist theory which is compared with Namita Gokhale’s selected works. In discussion, the researchers compare the survey with the other studies for deeper understanding. Future study recommendations are alienation, self-identity, psychoanalysis, self-disorder, and parental care.

The transformation of the fight for gender equality has led to a shift from the fight for equal rights to the fight for equality of opportunity. Provided by the laws the equal rights of men and women came across the existence of unwritten standards of proper behavior and occupations of women, “glass ceilingˮ, the existence of which is noticeable, but often unprovable. At the same time, technological development and universal informatization have created an era of digital economy in which women also have to take their place. The social status and capabilities of the individual in the digital age will depend on how well they have been able to adapt to changing technological conditions, educational requirements and skills. As a result of the analysis of the data, it was found that Russian women are full participants in economic relations and entrepreneurship. About one third of entrepreneurs in STEM business are women. In that sphere of business, there is gender differentiation and niches traditionally occupied by women: accounting services, advertising, textiles and food production, humanities and social sciences, biotechnology and medicine. The larger the business and the more employees it employs, the fewer women managers there are. The structure of business activities of men and women is similar to the educational structure of the population: technical specialties — male, humanitarian — female. In general, the analysis of the data leads to the conclusion that women’s participation in STEM business is insufficient.

It has been revealed whether there are differences between the scores given to the scale not only according to gender, but also according to demographic characteristics such as race, education, place of birth, etc.

S. Samuthiran’s “Vaadamalli” is a novel that projects the difficulties and sufferings undergone by transgenders in this society. This world has differentiated men and women but hasn’t given recognition to transgenders. These transgenders have been suffering in society without getting proper recognition. They have been fighting to get equal rights as other genders and live normal human lives which have been denied to them by society. A particular society has even gone to the extent of ill-treating and teasing them in return for their fight for rights. These transgenders have been stamped as refugees and are people who live on the edge. If this society can recognize men and women it should give that equal recognition to these transgenders too. As we know X chromosome stands for women and Y for men. This is the scientific reality. An error in their chromosomal structures brings about these behavioral changes in them which are beyond their control and all these happenings are mere science. The transgenders fail every time they try to prove this in society. Like the character named “Suyambu” in the novel who fights for the rights of transgenders, there should be organizations who help them live a peaceful life. There are still limitations for transgenders, for instance, using a public toilet. They aren’t given jobs in all fields. To conclude, the feelings and rights of transgenders should be taken into consideration and respected. Before anyone in society accepts them, their own family should accept them to avoid criticism from society.

Women’s rights advocates in Egypt are credited with leading the fight for equal rights for women. They played a vital role in the uprising of women’s rights in parliament and judiciary, and the women of Egypt soared through the Arab Spring revolution after 25th and 30th of January. Women in Arab countries have been marginalized and discriminated, leading to the Arab Spring Revolution of 2010 and 2011, which brought about positive changes for women in their traditional, political and decision-making lives. This study demonstrated every aspect and its outcomes of the revolution started by the women of Arab for their rights. The research is focused on discussing an important topic, namely the role of women in the State’s public policy-making process and ensuring they represent one of society’s most effective forces.

ABSTRACT Gender equality is defined as a thought that men and women have equal rights as human beings and should be treated equally. This issue becomes interesting to discuss because not all women and girls around the world experience equal rights. Mulan (2020) is a movie that shows the problem of gender equality. This research aims to point out that Mulan (2020) is considered as a movie depicting issues against women and a main character's effort to fight for human rights and achieve gender equality by analyzing scenes and dialogues. The research used descriptive study with a qualitative approach as a method of research. The semiotics analysis of Charles Sanders Peirce and liberal feminism theory used as the ground of knowledge to support the research. The results found in this research indicate that gender equality in this movie is a part of culture that includes physical and verbal form. The amount of research data analyzed consists of 10 data in the form of pictures and dialogues. In addition, this movie is shown to achieve the same rights, especially for women who often lose their rights as a result of society's demands and norms. The Chinese government as one of the influential countries for world development also participates in efforts to protect equal women's rights and peace life realization. This was heard in the Chinese government's speech to the United Nations on October 1, 2020. This study aims to discuss the contents of the speech which represents the actions of feminism and dream of peace life by China by applying the theory of assertive speech acts and conventional implicatures to provide new understanding and knowledge related to real social issues developing now. Through this research, it can be seen that in the speech text, there are 3 purposes of assertive speech acts, namely 5 data to state, 4 data to claim, and 1 data to conclude. Each of these objectives has implicatures resulting from document studies supported by speech and news data that are realized in linguistic and social contexts. The stated goals are that China has actively voiced gender equality through the Beijing World Conferences on Women since 1995, is concerned about women's work, the existence of women is very influential in the 21st century, will always fight for women's rights, and long for an equal society. The purpose of the claim is that China claims the existence of women to create peace, oversees the progressive development of the existence of women's rights, guarantees women's protection rights, and that the country is an active country in voicing gender equality. The purpose of the conclusion is that China concludes that Chinese women love their country and are willing to fight for the safety of their people regardless of differences. The results of this study provide a description that China is now a country that struggles to protect women and yearns for a peace life.

Law Although EU law has established a general framework concerning the fight against discriminations on the grounds of religion (namely as far as equal treatment in employment and occupation is concerned), the related ECJ case law is not very rich. This article tracks and evaluates the impact of the ECHR case law devoted to the freedom of religion on the interpretation and application of EU law concerning religion discriminations. It argues that the ECHR case law may contribute to identify the notion of ‘religion' which is relevant for EU law, while several arguments may be put forward against the application of the Strasbourg approach to the balancing between the right to quality based on religion and others human rights into the EU legal order.

This study about "Feminism Based On The Hegemony of Gender Found In The Autobiography of Gadis Arivia” focuses on the analyzes of the Autobiography of Gadis Arivia book, it is about hegemony of gender. The purpose of this article is to analyze the hegemony of Gadis Arivia Book. A descriptive-qualitative methodology was employed in this investigation. Documentation and library research are used in this approach of study. The population of the study is the readers of the Gadis Arivia book, and the study's sample is its reflection section. The analysis shows that this interesting story is full of efforts to fight for women's emancipation so that they are equal to men.

This article is a case study of a protracted struggle to establish a branch campus of the San Francisco Community College in Chinatown for thousands of immigrants and working-class adults, focusing mostly on the period since 1997 when the community was slowly politicized and mobilized to fight for their educational rights. Although educational researchers continue to pay close attention to Asian American fights against discriminatory admission policies among the nation’s top colleges and universities, an urgent need to pay more scholarly and political attention to the neediest, poorest, and powerless among Asian Americans clearly exists. To this segment of the Asian American population, access to community college education is a matter of acquiring tools of survival in America. The study illustrates the equal significance of race and class in understanding the development of Asian American communities, how each can be used to obfuscate or disguise the other, and how both can be easily obscured by other issues, especially “progressive” issues or organizations. Asian American community activists and scholars need to pay more attention to class and class conflict with the communities and between the communities and the mainstream society.

Abstract The African-American press created images of Harry Wills that were intended to restore the image of the black boxer after Jack Johnson and to use these positive representations as effective tools in the fight against inequality. Newspapers highlighted Wills’s moral character in contrast to Johnson’s questionable reputation. Articles, editorials, and cartoons presented Wills as a representative of all Americans regardless of race and appealed to notions of sportsmanship based on equal opportunity in support of the fighter’s efforts to gain a chance at the title. The representations also characterized Wills as a race man whose struggle against boxing’s color line was connected to the larger challenges facing all African Americans. The linking of a sports figure to the broader cause of civil rights would only intensify during the 1930s as figures such as Joe Louis became even more effective weapons in the fight against Jim Crow segregation.

This differentiation occurs since time immemorial where humans have recognized themselves as the most conscious species. Humans called women themselves are treated like objects. Women must be subordinate to men, and men must dominate women. However, over time, this view has become worthy of a revolution. The view that considers women as second humans must be removed. Women are also human and demand the same rights as men as human beings too. In this article, it will be explained how women should be equal to the roles of men. Feminism is a form of how women fight for themselves to face the rise of patriarchal ideology. Women are also human beings who can also become leaders; this is a revolutionary view of feminism to fight the ideology that subordinates women.

It is emphasised that ensuring the independence of the prosecutor’s office in Ukraine is a necessary step to increase trust in justice, fight corruption and ensure justice in society. This will contribute to building a strong rule-of-law state where every citizen has equal rights and can count on a fair and objective consideration of their cases.
It is established that the independence of the prosecutor’s office is a principle and, at the same time, a state in which the prosecutor's system functions independently of the influence of external factors, including political and economic factors, as well as other persons, ensuring freedom to perform its functions and powers on the basis of the law and the principles of justice. This includes impartiality, objectivity, integrity, absence of corruption and the ability of prosecutors to act in the public interest, ensuring the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens.
It is determined that the importance of ensuring the independence of the prosecutor's office is due to the following factors: prevention of political influence on the investigation process, which ensures the objectivity and integrity of justice; improves the effectiveness of the fight against corruption and crime; acts as an additional guarantee of protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens, since an important task of the prosecutor's office is to ensure legal equality, combat human rights violations and protect the interests of society as a whole; ensures increased public confidence in justice and the system of law enforcement.

The European legislation on labour policies is emblematically represented by the system managed by the European Central Bank (ECB) in which price stability first comes, then all the rest. Unlike other similar institutions, the ECB is the only central bank whose sole objective is to maintain price stability, or better win the fight against inflation. Unlike the ECB, the US Federal Reserve has the so-called dual mandates, which is a dual objective of intervention: price stability and employment. In this sense, the Fed is required to effectively promote the objectives of maximum employment, stable prices and moderate long-term interest rates, protecting in an equal way both the needs of the market economy and the rights of workers.In the European Union, in general, the objective of price stability is in fact superordinate to all the others, even those that Art. 3 of the Treaty of the European Union seemed to be on the same level. The fight against unemployment therefore becomes secondary even if, for example, in the Italian constitution the right to work since 1948 is considered a fundamental right.The decisive point is that the prevailing value is attributed to monetary stability with the consequent weakening of policies - potentially inflationary - such as the active ones of labour and more generally of stimulus of the economy.The new EU policies on financial issues are therefore destined to have a strong impact on the regulation of workers' rights in individual states. And above all in Italy where the principle of a balanced budget in 2012 even became a constitutional provision.

This research examines the types of feminism and women's movements in the Moxie (2021) movie that aim to fight the patriarchal system and sexism, and how the main female character and other female characters can deal with it. Moxie (2021) is a coming-of-age genre movie that contains elements of feminism. The data collection used is descriptive qualitative method. The theory of feminism used in this research was the theory of feminism from Tong and Boots (2018). The results of this study show that there were four types of feminism, namely Liberal feminism, Radical feminism, Psychoanalytic and Gender feminism, and Ecofeminist feminism. Then, it was found that there were 4 women's movements that supporting feminism, namely Viviane started zine Moxie as a form of women's resistance, zine Moxie influenced the women's movement in schools, women maintained their self-esteem, and women dared to speak up. Afterwards, some of the moral messages found were the existence of a patriarchal system, discrimination, and sexual harassment until the women dare to fight back and form a feminism club called Moxie. Women deserve to have rights over themselves, such as having equal rights with men, being able to become leaders, and being able to have opinions freely.

The discourse of feminism in the perspective of the pesantren kiai invites attention to be studied. Feminism is a movement that arises due to the arbitrary treatment of women who further demands equal rights and proper behavior between men and women. It’s just that, in its practice, there is a conventional way of thinking, and civilized has placed women not worth and even under men. This kind of culture has given birth to many problems and suffering in women because women are discriminated against, even receiving a lot of unfair treatment. Therefore, the feminist movement is trying to fight for women to get an equal and fair position in this era. This paper discusses the equality of rights between women and men in the book al-Mar’a al-Sholihah by Kiai Masruhan Maghfuri, who comes from pesantren. He is a scholar of Nusantara who discusses the praiseworthy morals for the generation of Muslim women. This research is classified as library research using a qualitative approach. The study results show that the study of feminism in the book and its relevance in its role in the era of revolution 4.0. Women have the right to get a balanced job and education with men to be good women for their country and change the economic sector by becoming a career women after carrying out their obligations to take care of the household. Women are given space to actualize themselves in the community without forgetting their nature.

This paper describes how radio and theatre joint together in a rural community in Ecuador as instruments for women’s rights claiming, highlighting their roles in the public sphere. By means of a qualitative methodology with focus groups, women could show their reality, enclosed in a patriarchal culture that reflects the different faces of violence against women. This action research shows as results that woman´s role as a social subject is invisible and that inequality of roles at household chores affects the woman and that this practice is strongly reinforced in the discourse towards sons and daughters at these homes. Given these circumstances, in edu-communication framework, both radio and theatre stand out with a social and liberating approach in the fight for equal rights and opportunities in men and women relationships. Mulk Raj Anand is a great humanist and his prime concern is human predicament. Manohar Malgoankar presents the pathetic life of the labourers of tea-plantation of Assam. Kamla Markandeya highlights pitiable conditions of peasants of India. Anita Desai shows the denial of social justice to women. Khuswant Singh and Salman Rushdie draw attention towards sexual abuse of children. Thus, literature carries the human experience which reaches the heart of those who have been treated improperly by denial of basic human rights.

Even though ASEAN members have followed most of the WHO recommendations to deal with Covid-19, cases are still liable to increase. Therefore, vaccine utilization is the best chance which people believe in to fight the pandemic for now. However, the vaccine’s availability and distribution are a dilemma for the ASEAN member countries. Therefore, this article aims to determine the possibility of ASEAN’s role in creating equal access to the Covid-19 vaccine for everyone. According to the juridical normative research, ASEAN is committed to protect and promote human rights and to realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). On that basis, the organization tends to play an important role in Covid-19 vaccination in Southeast Asia by cooperating with its partners to research and create the required vaccine.

The child care industry has provision in awards for junior wages. Juniors aged between 14 and 16 years receive 50 per cent of the minimum adult wage, and this increases until the adult wage is received at age 21. However, regulations do not specify responsibilities for junior workers. This study indicates there are many occasions when junior workers are required to undertake the same responsibilities as adult workers. This is of concern as the International Labour Organisation suggests that the principle of ‘equal pay for equal work’ is of importance. This study documents examples of junior workers required to work extra hours without pay, or to remain unpaid on the premises until numbers necessitate their presence. Junior workers appear more open to this type of exploitation as they tend not to question such requirements, nor to fight for their rights. If the child care industry is to retain junior wages, it needs to take responsibility for meeting the special needs of junior staff.

Environmentally Friendly Sustainable Development or Sustainable Development Goals is a policy program scheme agreed upon by world leaders to reduce poverty, inequality and end the impact of global climate change. This article discusses how the Sustainable Development Goals go hand in hand with Islamic development. The research method used in this literature review is descriptive qualitative. The study results show that the Islamic concept is in line/sustainable with the SDGs goals. Islam also has a way to fight poverty with zakat, fasting, and a simple lifestyle, providing equal rights between women and men and emphasizing that there is no equal position between the two; and orders humans to manage the environment wisely and maintain natural balance. Mobilizing the Islamic masses to help in achieving the SDGs as a form of their devotion to Allah SWT is a challenge for the government, community organizations and academics in socializing the SDGs and Sustainable Science to society and to higher education, especially Islamic religious universities (PTKI).

The implementation of the non-discrimination principle in the Republic of Moldova represents a complex and ongoing process aimed at ensuring equal opportunities and treatment for all citizens, regardless of their personal characteristics. This principle is fundamental in the context of promoting human rights and strengthening a democratic and inclusive society. As a signatory state to international treaties on human rights, the Republic of Moldova is obligated to implement and adhere to their provisions regarding the fight against discrimination. In this regard, various laws and policies have been adopted and enacted to prevent and combat discrimination in different areas, such as labor, education, or access to public services. One significant initiative in this direction was the establishment of a specialized body to combat discrimination, tasked with monitoring compliance with the non-discrimination principle and providing support to victims of discrimination. Efforts have also been made to raise public awareness about the importance of respecting diversity and promoting a culture of equality.

Abstract Although transparency is frequently employed to enhance the legitimacy of public organizations, several scholars point to its potentially negative implications. This study analyzes the impact of transparency on the authority of peer reviews in international organizations. Authority, here conceived as rooted in legitimacy beliefs, is crucial for peer reviews to produce effects. This research is based on results from an online survey and forty-three interviews with actors involved in two United Nations peer reviews: the Universal Periodic Review in human rights and the Implementation Review Mechanism in the fight against corruption. The article shows that transparency positively affects the perceived development of pressure, yet negatively influences mutual learning and appears to be unable to ensure equal treatment of states.

The concept of women rights, freedoms, and their role in public sphere are few important areas which have been in news in the past few decades. There is no doubt that women were deprived of their rights such as right to vote, freedom to mobility etc. in Muslim communities in the past few centuries. However, not much later, the fight for women rights and freedoms are being observed among the various Muslim communities. Another aspect among the Islamic communities is related to social service. The foundation of Islam religion was based on the principles of social justice, equality and service to mankind. However, both these concepts including women role and social services in Islam have been influenced by various factors since the founding of Islam religion. Therefore, it would be an interesting area of research to investigate evolution and changes relates to these two areas through the Islamic ages in order to analyse if factors of influence and whether or not these changes are relevant in the current times. Accordingly, the purpose of this paper is to review the role of women and community services through Islamic ages, and analyse its implications in the current scenario. A narrative review approach is adopted in this study in order to reflect the developments from the history. Findings from the review indicated that the women in Islamic ages enjoyed equal rights and status in society in contrast to the women in the modern world. However, social services continued to be a part of the Islamic principles since its emergence in the 6th century. It can be concluded that there is a need to create awareness among the Muslim elites (who base discrimination in the context of religion, culture, and traditions) regarding the equality rights for women and their increased participation in social, economic, and cultural fields in the society.

Giuseppina Martinuzzi (Labin, 1844 – Labin, 1925), pedagogue, teacher, poet, social and political activist, was one of the most prominent figures in Istrian history. A member of a bourgeois family and educated at home, her desire for further education led her to earn the title of teacher. She was employed in schools in Istria, Muggia and Trieste in working-class districts among the poorest classes of society. Teaching in these schools shaped Martinuzzi’s personality and encouraged her to become a political activist and fighter for social change. Her active involvement in politics began at the onset of the 20th century, initially advocating for irredentist positions, but she then turned to socialism and stood out as one of the first Istrian socialists. Although she had a bourgeois background, she was dedicated to the fight for workers and peasants, especially the Labin miners, and called for their right to education, equal rights for all citizens and women’s suffrage. Using the existing bibliography and sources (Martinuzzi’s manuscripts), the paper presents her achievements with emphasis on her activism for women’s suffrage.

For centuries, women have been struggling to establish their place in the society and fight for their rights as becoming an equal to men. This article, presents an analysis on the female characters - Portia and Calpurnia of Rome, in Julius Caesar. The play was written by William Shakespeare who based his story on the historical events of Ancient Rome. Making use of Wollstonecraft and Friedans theories, this article aims at examining to what extent the struggles of women are reflected and presented in the play. The struggles of the female characters are intrinsically concerned with the play and extrinsically relates to the condition of women in Ancient Rome. Upon analyzing, it becomes clear that Roman women had less rights and privileges than men and were considered inferior to men. Women in Roman were seen as weak, feeble and unworthy. Although feminism is not even heard of in Shakespeares time, through studying Wollstonecraft and Friedans theories, Portia and Calpurnias struggle can be considered as the springing of feminists actions.

Mathilde Franziska Anneke (1817-1884) was one of few women who have shaped German immigrant life in America during the second half of the 19th century. The Forty-Eighter, writer, and educator founded the first German-language Frauenzeitung in the U.S., and her network of correspondents included Susan B. Anthony.
The article sheds light on Mathilde Anneke as a “new woman” who broke with traditional norms of gender and sexuality. She divorced her first and abusive husband at the age of 20, raising her daughter alone before marrying Fritz Anneke with whom she had more children. This paper focuses on Mathilde's feminist essay Das Weib im Conflict mit den socialen Verhältnissen (1847). This text is a testament to her ideals and values, most of all her life-long fight for women’s rights. In this manifest, Mathilde envisions the “new woman” who would break out of the cage of male supremacy and demand equal rights. While Mathilde Anneke did not live to see the suffragist movement succeed, she made significant contributions to the early feminist movement, and she did so through her writing.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to explore the history of Black women as critical civic agents fighting for the recognition of their intersecting identities in multiple iterations of the feminist movement. Design/methodology/approach Utilizing Black feminism and intersectionality I explore the many ways in which Black women have fought against multiple forms of oppression in the first, second and fourth wave feminist movement and organizations in order to fight for their rights as Black women citizens. Findings Black women in the past and present have exhibited agency by working within such multiple civil rights movements to change the conditions and carve out inclusive spaces by working across differences and forging multiracial coalitions. Originality/value This paper serves as a call to action for social studies classroom teachers and teacher educators to rethink how we remember and teach feminist movements. I also explore how we can use this past to understand and advance the conversation in this present iteration of the women’s movement to work across differences in solidarity toward equal justice for all.

Although Gu Hongming is regarded as a master of western culture, he strongly supports traditional culture. And his ideas about Chinese women are surprisingly reminiscent of women in Victorian era. The author attempts to compare traditional Chinese women with those in Victorian period in terms of family life and marriage customs through close reading and literature review. Traditional Chinese women are similar to Victorian women as they preside over the home and assume domestic duties, which reflects that woman alike lived in a patriarchal society. Nevertheless, Chinese women and Victorian women differ in their roles in marriage customs. By making a comparison between traditional Chinese women and those in Victorian era, the readers can understand that women’s difficulties are deep-rooted and women today still need to fight hard towards equal rights.

In this research the, writer uses an interdisciplinary study. In conducting the analysis, researchers used the theory of justice and propaganda theory. To analyze this topic, the researcher uses John Rawls's theory of justice, which is actually contradict with what happens in this film. Then the researchers used propaganda theory from Jowett and O'Donnell, which the theory shows the behavior of the police against the main characters. The result of the study shows that is Los Angeles Police Department does not serve the society wisely. They use their power to be inappropriate. It acts in a violent way, and intimidates its citizens. The evil man are protected and the good is shot dead. Justice is not always run by violating people’s right. This research also finds that people who have been given a great power, they tend to abuse the power. Moreover, in human relationship, the concept of equal treatment must be applied to avoid conflicts. People who get unfair treatment tend to fight against the bad treatment. Everyone has rights to be treated equally. Upholding justice is not always done by violation their rights. This research also finds that fairly equal treatment is valuable. People should be treated equally in any condition.

Islam provides prescriptions on the specific rights and obligations of men and women in the society. While women in the West still fight for their rights to an equal position until today, Islam provides Muslim women with the rights to be involved in economic activities based on their personal merit and wisdom. This paper aims to highlight the involvement of Muslim women in economic activities from an Islamic perspective. Islam does not limit the task of women to being mothers; Muslim women can involve themselves in other fields such as economics and politics, as long as they adhere to the guidelines put forward by the religion. It cannot be denied that their involvement in the economic sector became one of the development factors of Islamic civilisation since the very beginning of Islam until now. The purpose of their voluntary involvement in the economy was to contribute their skills and expertise as well as to apply their knowledge for the benefit and maslahah of the Muslim society and ummah. The study concludes that out that the involvement of Muslim women in economic activities plays an important role in a country’s development process, particularly when the women’s labour were in a compatible manner within the limits of shariah.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of Hindu women based on the legends of the wayang performance. Many post-colonial Balinese Hindu women began to leave their culture. To be more empowered, they do not have to leave their culture. They are still relevant as role models, like Dewi Anjani, Srikandi, and Dewi Kunti's struggle in the legends. The issues are as follows: (1) What is the image of Dewi Anjani, Srikandi, and Dewi Kunti's struggle? What can be learned from the three Hindu female figures in the legends? All the data was collected through documentation, observation, and interviews with informants in Denpasar. Qualitative-interpretative descriptive analysis is supported by applying symbol, hegemony, and deconstruction theory. The results show that Dewi Anjani is a female character who is able to fight for her rights equal to her two brothers. Srikandi is a female character who is able to fight on par with the leader of the knights on the battlefield. Meanwhile, Dewi Kunti was able to show a firm attitude during the Pandawa conflict. The images of the three figures are role models for the reconstruction of post-colonial Balinese Hindu women in responding to the challenges of globalization.

Appeals is a remedy that can be used by the taxpayers during the tax dispute with the tax authorities, having previously filed Objection. Philosophy of remedies is a means of seeking justice to fight for their rights as equal before the law, it should be an option that gives freedom for the taxpayer to use or not use. Anomaly occurs, where the Act Number 28 of 2007 on General Provisions and Tax Procedures seeking justice requires to pay the administrative sanction a fine of 100% of Appeals were denied or granted in part. In the middle of the threat of sanctions, taxpayers are dealing with a lower ability of court to produce a fair Judgment for the parties.
