Résumé :

This essay interrogates Ludovico Ariosto’s theatrical poetics by charting his developing sense of the theatrical space and his embrace of the contemporary. From an initial appropriation of Roman stage models to a more nuanced appreciation of the comic possibilities afforded through a modernizing use of the contemporary city as more than a mere backdrop, Ariosto inscribed his native Ferrara in comic form, at once a subversive antithesis to the idealized courtly city and a repository for comedic potentialities. This is most evident in two of his comedies: Il Negromante (1520; 1528) and, in particular, La Lena (1528), in which Ferrara (both named and unnamed) assumes an increasingly important role in the construction of the “comic city.” Ultimately, Ariosto’s transformation of theatrical tradition may be located in his interrogation and satirization of the vices and mores of Ferrara, resulting in the creation of one of the finest plays of the Italian Commedia erudite. Cet essai examine la poétique théâtrale de l’Arioste en retraçant le développement du sens de l’espace théâtral dans son oeuvre et la manière dont il est lié à son époque. L’Arioste s’approprie d’abord les modèles romains de décors de scène, pour ensuite en explorer les possibilités comiques par une appréciation plus nuancée de la représentation de la ville, qui dépasse le fond de scène. Ainsi, il inclut sa ville d’origine, Ferrare, dans la forme comique, ce qui en fait à la fois une antithèse subversive de la ville de cour et une source de possibilités pour la comédie. Cet aspect s’observe en particulier dans deux comédies: Il Negromante (1520 et 1528) et, davantage encore, dans La Lena (1528), dans lesquelles Ferrare (nommée ou non) prend une importance croissante dans la construction de la « cité comique ». Enfin, les transformations que fait subir l’Arioste à la tradition théâtrale s’observent dans sa mise en cause et sa satire des moeurs et des vices de Ferrare, ce qui donne le jour aux meilleures pièces de théâtre de la « comédie savante » italienne.

Résumé :

Introdcuction: Darier and Ferrand's dermatofibrosarcoma is a rare but not exceptional malignant mesenchymentous skin tumor. It represents 0.1% of malignant skin tumors. First described by Jean Darier and Marcel Ferrant in 1924, it is a slow-growing tumor, currently considered to be a true low-grade malignancy fibrosarcoma. The authors report in this work the clinical and evolutionary aspects of three cases of Darier and Ferrand dermatofibrosarcoma located at the cephalic end. Observations: These were 3 cases of Darier and Ferrand dermatofibrosarcoma encountered between 2010 and 2016. The subjects were female. The ages ranged from 30 to 44 years old. The diagnostic delay varied between 6 and 10 years. The general condition was altered in two cases. The localization was facial in two cases and the scalp in one case. The size of the tumors varied between 15 and 20 cm. All patients underwent maxillofacial computed tomography (CT) and laboratory workup. The clinically suggested diagnosis was confirmed by histological examination. One patient underwent surgical excision with a 3 cm margin. Covering the loss of substance appealed to thin skin grafting. The evolution was favorable after a 7-year follow-up. In the other two cases, the evolution was marked by death before surgical management. Conclusion: DFS is a rare malignant skin tumor with slow local progression that can often be life-threatening. Early diagnosis ensures efficient treatment.

Résumé :

Para melhor compreender o analfabetismo brasileiro das últimas quatro décadas, essa pesquisa propôs um estudo comparativo entre o perfil do analfabetismo da década de 1980, traçado por Azevedo (1997) como alto, desigual e renitente, e da década de 2010, observando as transformações ocorridas nesse período, no qual permearam políticas públicas para a universalização da educação básica. Para tanto, foi realizada uma pesquisa documental fundamentada nos Censos Demográficos Nacionais (1980, 1991, 2000, 2010) e uma pesquisa bibliográfica com base em Azevedo (1997), Ferrari (1985), Ferraro e Kreidlow (2004), entre outros. Os resultados indicam que mesmo com a melhora dos índices, o analfabetismo brasileiro se mantém alto, desigual e renitente. Além disso, foi possível evidenciar o peso que a insuficiência do processo de alfabetização institucionalizado tem na produção do analfabetismo escolar e geral, refletindo sobre as questões de acesso, permanência e qualidade da educação.

ABSTRACT The Ferrara intrastromal corneal ring segments (ICRS) are designed to treat ectatic corneal disorders, especially keratoconus. They have been used to reshape keratoconic corneas to improve uncorrected visual acuity, best-corrected visual acuity, contact lens tolerance and to delay or prevent the need for keratoplasty. Intrastromal corneal ring segments have several distinct and important advantages. The Ferrara ICRS have been used largely in several countries for the treatment of primary and secondary ectatic corneal disorders. This article reviews the latest data published and the clinical experience/findings on the treatment of keratoconus by the Ferrara ICRS implantation. ABSTRACT Purpose To evaluate the long-term follow-up of Ferrara intrastromal corneal ring segments (ICRSs) (Ferrara Ophthalmics, Belo Horizonte, Brazil) implantation for the management of keratoconus in children. Study design Paulo Ferrara Eye Clinic, Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Materials and methods A total of 58 eyes of 37 children with keratoconus were included. One or two ring segments were inserted into the cornea, embracing the keratoconus area. Statistical analysis included preoperative and postoperative uncorrected distance visual acuity (UDVA), corrected distance visual acuity (CDVA), asphericity, pachymetry, and keratometry. Results Ferrara ICRS implantation significantly improved the mean UDVA and CDVA. Corneal tomography (Pentacam®) showed corneal flattening in all eyes implanted with the Ferrara ring. The mean K decreased, and the corneal asphericity and pachymetry increased in all cases. Conclusion The Ferrara ICRS improved all parameters after 2 years of implantation in children with keratoconus. There was significant corneal flattening after ring implantation with improvement of the UDVA and the CDVA. All studied parameters remained stable over time. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi penerapan arsitektur futuristik, khususnya pada bangunan museum, dengan mengambil studi kasus Enzo Ferrari Museum di Modena, Italia. Latar belakang penelitian menyoroti kejarangan penerapan arsitektur futuristik pada bangunan-bangunan di Indonesia, terutama pada museum. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan prinsip-prinsip konsep arsitektur futuristik dan memahami serta mendeskripsikan penerapannya pada bangunan museum, terutama Enzo Ferrari Museum. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Enzo Ferrari Museum mengadopsi konsep arsitektur futuristik dalam konsep, bentuk, struktur, dan penggunaan material. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa bangunan Enzo Ferrari Museum secara konsisten menerapkan prinsip-prinsip arsitektur futuristik dalam perancangannya. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi dalam pemahaman konsep arsitektur futuristik, terutama pada bangunan museum.Kata Kunci: Arsitektur Futuristik, Enzo Ferrari, Museum, Mobil

Este artigo tem como objetivos descrever os processos de desenvolvimento conceitual e metodológico utilizados na criação do instrumento Ferrans and Powers Quality of Life Index (QLI) e disponibilizar a versão genérica atual adaptada para o português, visando ampliar a disseminação do seu uso em diferentes contextos e amostras da população brasileira. O QLI avalia a qualidade de vida de acordo com os níveis de satisfação e de importância atribuídos a quatro dimensões: Saúde/funcionamento, Psicológico/espiritual, Socioeconômico e Família. Aplicações prévias da versão em português (Índice de Qualidade de Vida de Ferrans e Powers) têm demonstrado que o instrumento pode ser utilizado em nosso meio como uma medida válida e confiável de qualidade de vida.

In this article, Ferraris examines the notion of sacrifice in the philosophy of Heidegger. Focusing specifically—but not exclusively—on Heidegger’s Beiträge zur Philosophie, Ferraris shows that sacrifice is a fundamental aspect of Heidegger’s thematization of human finitude. More specifically, Ferraris shows the central role played by sacrifice in highlighting the radical level of truth and authenticity that the event of death carries within itself. Hence, Ferraris argues that it is through sacrifice—and mourning—that we understand what death is, as the self-transcendence of Dasein makes the transcendence of Being possible.

Lücking et al., and C. weberi (Vězda) Lücking et al. are recorded for the first time from South America. The known distribution of 24 species of this lichen genus is extended. A revision of the genus in Argentina and Paraguay is also presented.

Résumé :

This paper aims at determining the stock price of Ferrari, which is a leading company in the luxury performance car industry, to evaluate if it's overpriced or not and discuss the potential limitations of the valuation method. The valuation is based on multiple valuations. The target share price of Ferrari is calculated using the average P/E ratio after identifying Ferrari's comparable peer group. The paper calculates a share price of $91.98, which is significantly less than its current share price of $196.90, based on the P/E ratio valuation. The outcome suggests that Ferrari was expensive. Ferrari's dominant position within the industry as a whole and the inherent flaws in the valuation mechanism is the key factors influencing this. To have a better understanding of the company itself, more models, such as discounted cash flow valuation, are advised. P/E ratio valuation can be employed as an initial screening technique. This essay offers some insights into Ferrari and the entire high-performance automobile market, which can be helpful when calculating the share prices of top firms like Ferrari.

Ferrari as one of the main brands of luxury cars, the company's earnings, has been in focus, according to data show that in 2021, the net loss from a year earlier, the company continued to expand, some investors want to assess the value of the company to evaluate whether to continue to invest, however, the evaluation of some researchers is the lack of a large number of reliable data, the lack of a detailed explanation of the assessment. Therefore, the research topic of this paper is to evaluate the value of Ferrari Company according to its own profit and debt financial situation, and whether investors can get the ideal return. The research method of this paper is as follows: first, the earnings per share and average stock price from 2019 to 2021 are collected, and then the data are analyzed by P/E ratio. In addition, the net profit and revenue data of Ferrari and its competitors from 2019 to 2021 were collected and EV/E valuation analysis was performed on their data. The results of the two research methods show that in terms of valuation, Ferrari is overvalued, enterprise value and P/E ratio are too high. That means investing in Ferrari shares won't necessarily pay off. This may be because Ferrari is not a new automobile brand, but an old one. Secondly, its product types make it difficult for Ferrari to continue to enter a new level. The Fed raised interest rates to ease inflation caused by geopolitical crises and the COVID-19 pandemic. The policy not only affects investors, but also affects Ferrari's borrowing.

El artista plástico argentino León Ferrari y el escritor Rafael Alberti se conocieron, en 1959, durante el exilio americano del poeta español. Desde 1962 Ferrari ilustró composiciones literarias de Alberti: en 1964 publican el libro conjunto Escrito en el aire. Ambos artistas mantuvieron una fluida correspondencia de fina amistad. Publicamos cinco cartas inéditas, dirigidas por Ferrari a Alberti, entre 1963 y 1965, en las que el argentino comenta varios asuntos de interés creativo del arte contemporáneo: la elaboración de obras pictóricas, montajes e instalaciones y los asuntos polémicos que las inspiran: la denuncia política y social. Ferrari se enfrenta con vehemencia a la guerra de Vietnam, a la Iglesia católica enajenante, reaccionaria y cómplice de injusticias y desequilibrios económicos que se perpetúan y al poder inicuo y capitalista.

Immune receptor repertoires provide insight into the clonal distribution of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes, yet the clinical implications of T-cell receptor (TCR) and B-cell receptor (BCR) repertoire diversity in cancer are unclear. In this issue of Cancer Research, Ferral-Fairbanks and colleagues reveal the interplay between repertoire diversity, tumor molecular features, and clinical outcome in renal cell carcinoma (RCC). The authors show that aggressive tumors harbor increasingly diverse TCR and BCR repertoires and that both repertoires are altered by common RCC driver mutations. Moreover, the authors demonstrate that high TCR diversity is associated with improved overall survival. This study highlights the contribution of lymphocyte receptor dynamics to the emerging complexity of RCC antitumor immune responses. See related article by Ferral-Fairbanks et al., p. 929

A mediados del siglo XV, la ciudad de Ferrara brillaba en la península italiana como un importante centro de estudios, al cual accedían no solo aspirantes de ciudades vecinas, sino también de otras regiones de Europa, allende los Alpes. En efecto, la transformación de la ciudad de sede del poder de una familia feudal a centro de producción y de irradiación de cultura humanista se verificará justamente en estos años (Tateo, 2004, p.16), gracias también al constante apoyo financiero de la corte estense. En este sentido, uno de los mayores exponentes del florecimiento cultural ferrarés fue, sin duda, Ludovico Ariosto (Reggio Emilia, 1474 - Ferrara, 1533), familiar de la familia de los Este y uno de los más grandes poetas de la tradición occidental. El objetivo del presente artículo es observar las implicancias de la obra dramática del autor del Orlando furioso en el contexto de la política cultural trazada por la familia Estense en los albores de la Modernidad clásica, mostrando aspectos de su producción dramática donde es posible detectar las tensiones existentes con el poder político ferrarés. En un ámbito diferente del de la mera lectura, Ariosto propondrá textos escénicos desde donde podrá crear un nuevo espacio para la crítica a ciertos aspectos de la cultura oficial a la cual, sin embargo, él mismo pertenecía.

Introduction: Breast cancer is an important health problem and early diagnosis is important in its treatment. Women’s approach and cultural beliefs are effective in ensuring early diagnosis. This study examined psychometric properties of the Ferrans Cultural Beliefs Scale and assessed cultural beliefs on breast cancer and screening programs among Turkish women. Method: The study was performed in a descriptive and cross-sectional design with 420 women using the Ferrans Cultural Beliefs Scale that is considered reliable and valid in Turkey. Results: The mean total score of the Ferrans Cultural Beliefs Scale was 3.24 ± 3.16. The highest “yes” responses were for the statement “If breast cancer is treated correctly, it can be cured” ( n = 387, 92.1%). Discussion: This study, which is the first in Turkey, highlights the importance of measuring the effects of Turkish healthy women’s cultural beliefs in breast cancer and screening for early diagnosis. Determining women’s cultural beliefs will make known the attitudes and behaviors toward breast cancer, so that the nurse will provide sensitive and effective nursing care, develop nursing knowledge, and integrate this knowledge with clinical practice.

Résumé :

This article presents the views of Maurizio Ferraris, one of today’s best-known Italian middle-generation philosophers. Since the end of the 1990s, he has been constructing a concept he calls new realism. It is a critique of postmodernism defined in the broad sense, which, in Ferraris’ view, is characterised by the primacy of interpretation over facts, epistemology over ontology, conceptual schemes over reality. Ferraris assumes the possibility of strictly separating the two cognitive activities: the primary determination of facts and their secondary interpretation. Ferraris’ realist views are also expressed in his aesthetics and the concept of social document, founded on the notion of trace understood in the material sense. The author also attempts to critique Ferraris’ views on his understanding of realism and interpretation.
